Day 5 of 5 day workout week:
It’s Friday! 🙌🏽 I’m sore. I’m tired. But, I’m not defeated! Gotta get in one more training session. It might not be pretty! But, it’s getting done all the same.
I went a little less cardio heavy today:
-I started with a quick 100 calories burned on the elliptical to warmup.
-Then, I moved on to Metabolic Strength Training courtesy of Cathe Friedrich Live! (See link below for example!) We used various hand weights and kept the heart rate elevated throughout. I labeled it as functional training for Apple Watch purposes.
That’s 🖐🏽 workouts for the week! Wasn’t easy. Wasn’t glamorous. But, I cannot argue with the results. Until next week, keep your head up and keep moving! 🫶🏽

Trying to get back into a gym routine. I feel like I’m all over the place.
Starting today 5 miles at the gym on the elliptical. My goal is to beat 60 minutes.
I was able to do the 5miles in under 47 minutes last time. I’m hoping to be able to do this again in time.
Last time I did this, I lost 22 lbs. I felt amazing and looked good. I gained some weight back and need to get back into the swing of things.
1 lean body protein shake for breakfast.
1 small salad for lunch
1cup of fruit for snack
64oz of water a day.
5miles after work.
Dinner which is mostly meat and veggies (add starch once a week
Cheat day was Saturday or Sunday depending on plans.
Workout 5-6 days a week.
This is my goal and you are more than welcome to join my journey!

5 sets × 12 reps @ 100 pounds on the lat pulldown
5 sets × 12 reps @ 20 pound dumbbell bicep curls
3 sets × 20 reps lateral raises with 10 pound dumbbells

Stuff I did yesterday:
Lunch 5k
Elliptical 2 mi
Recumbent 15.5 miles
I have some challenges going. I need to do lots of biking to catch up.
But the day before I went to a birthday dinner and had a terrible dry fajita salad. And a giant, too sweet cupcake that looked more amazing than it tasted and kinda made me nauseous.
The 1st pic is yto track my 5k time. The 2nd is the same workout but with a cooldown added.
I made bone broth. I had it for breakfast. It is delicious.
I hate that I have gotten into the habit of at least a protein bar a day. Ugg. But whatevs I suppose.

Day 1 of 5 day workout week:
It’s a Monday feeling Monday. At least, it’s Victory Monday (go 9ers! 😁). I ended up getting a vaccine on Friday night and it really knocked me back a bit! Plus, my arm was very sore. 😣 Today was a day for modification and I’m up for the challenge!
Getting my energy back, hour by hour, I finally venture out to my studio! I was able to glide through about 20 minutes on the elliptical. That actually felt quite good! Lower on the resistance (3-5) and just a smooth, brisk pace. Felt good enough to try a short HIIT, with lower body strength training for a quick additional calorie burn. I got through it! Didn’t break any barriers, but didn’t lose any ground. Hope you found some victories this Monday! 🫶🏽

5•31•23 || discovered that reading while using my elliptical helps me go further than music does. I just did 4 miles in an hour (level 12 resistance most of the time) and burned 368 calories.
