after living with my abusive (step-)parents until i was 18 and then living by myself for four years, it is so weird to live to with someone who really cares about you.

i was crying in our bedroom yesterday about our upcoming exam and i was stressing out about my grade - i was raised in a way that i am only worthy if i excel academically. and my partner comes in and we talk about my feelings and the issue and at one point he says "you are helpful, caring and lovable with or without a grade [in said class]. And you never have to cry by yourself."

So here I am, passing this reminder onto whoever needs it: you are worthy, no matter how productive or "good" you are. you don't have to be of use to anybody to be valuable. The fact that you are here, living and being yourself is enough. You are enough. And you never have to cry alone - i'm here for you & sending a big consent hug 🫂
