Zionism became a dirty word thanks to anti-semites like Hitler. It became even more wide spread after WWII when Soviet Russia saw Zionism as a threat to its homogeneity. It became defined as the "exclusiveness of the Jewish people".

There have been thousands of self-determination and nationalist movements throughout history. Only Jewish self-determination has been condemned on such a far reaching level (hey, hi UN resolution 3379).

Jews spent more than 2000 years being persecuted, ethnically cleansed, forcibly removed from their homes, and genocided. By all accounts, we, of all people, have the right to self-determination. Zionism was and is a righteous cause. It isn't a colonialist fascist propaganda.

It's the victim of actual fascist propaganda out of Soviet Russia.

What’s been bugging me about the episode description the most is the involvement of the CIA - their charter doesn’t allow for operations to be done on US soil. Ops done here are managed and run by the FBI.

+ Remember the episode with the “reverse Tardis” comment by Tim? And the mobile “quiet room” where the CIA dude didn’t even know about the Russian cell operating in Los Angeles?

+ Plus the CIA deals with terrorism (a/k/a “national security”) and spies - how did clueless wonder Jake get involved with spies?

That said, I am thrilled we don’t have to suffer through another half-assed FEDS “cross-over” episode. Thank God for small favors.

Do you know that Merida is canonically a lesbian for sure, or are you not keeping your facts straight again?

Before you police, gatekeep, or force your headcanon on more people about this, let me tell you something.

There is no explicit or implicit indication in the film that Merida is a lesbian or that she is attracted to anyone of any gender. She simply values her freedom and independence over romance and marriage.

However, some viewers, critics, and fans have interpreted her character as a possible representation of LGBTQ+ identity, based on her rejection of gender norms, her lack of interest in men, and her affinity for nature. Ultimately, Merida's sexuality is left ambiguous and open to interpretation by the audience. She could be a lesbian, or she could be asexual, bisexual, pansexual, or of any other orientation. She could also be questioning or exploring her identity, or she could simply be too young to have developed romantic feelings for anyone.

The film does not define her by her sexuality but by her personality, her actions, and her relationships with her family.
