I feel like things would probably be easier if I was a lesbian, but alas I am not nearly that consistent 😅

Both my gender and sexuality are somewhat amorphous and as a kid the label everyone gave me was "tomboy". I wasn't allowed to cut my hair short or "dress like a boy" (whatever that means. I never did figure it out. My own mom shopped in the men's department half the time lmao). But I was allowed to play with the neighborhood boys and do lots of "boy stuff". It was sort of this strange limbo between being allowed to be a little genderless goblin child and still having to perform "well behaved, well mannered, clean and presentable girl"

Eventually I hit a point where, mentally and emotionally, it was either change their minds or run away. The roof was my sanctuary and somewhat of a hail mary. I decided if the next step was pack my little rucksack and start train hopping, might as well push this as far as it would go first 🤣

I was a nightmare to raise, no question!

🌱🐌Goblin things I did growing up🌿🪱

Built grass houses for bugs 🐛 🐜🐝

Collected cool rocks 🪨 and shells 🐚. seriously had rocks in my Easter baskets and at Christmas. I was always looking for treasure. Got my whole class into rock collecting once. Looking back I think we were just collecting old decorative pebbles from the schools landscaping, but we didn't know. They were neat! All so tiny, colorful, and smooth!

Find neat things on the ground and want to keep. Ex: broken bit of metal, broken necklaces, old beads, buttons, bottle caps (of course), coins dropped toys, broken glasses, lost key, so many cool things when you just look down. 🔑🔫🧩♟👓🪙

Loved tiny toys. Mini porcelain tea set, polly pockets, any thing made to be smaller than it actually was =fav thing. Loved Barbie for this reason. Small girl with small shoes and small brush and small clothes 👚👡👛

Bite things that feel nice. Foam floaties, not like pool noodle foam but the thick almost rubbery ones, idk man they hit a little different.

Cut a whole in my dad's sheets, one small hole, but still ... I did it bc....I had scissors and... I could?! ✂️ ✂️ ✂️

Wanted to make things, like clothing, bags, and shoes, but didnt know how, could not sew, never heard of a pattern. Did not stop me. Glue all the things, cut all the fabric.

Clay time was my favorite in art class!!!!!! Give me the muddy wet lump, need to squeeze it and squish it and smell it and feel it under my nails!!!
