OH you know what else im disappointed by? the fact that the scene where hawk tells tim he loves him and that's like. a HUGE deal for tim wasn't in the show. that's like. a Defining moment for them —and i know the show went in like a WILDLY different direction than the book so maybe it's not that important of a scene in this new context since hawk does seem more like confrontational towards his own feelings, but still. that was like one of the biggest moments of the book and its absence in the show was seriously missed.

"i didn't think people like you existed." alta!
What was that meant to mean?
Alta allowed the quiet steam to surround his words, curling around them almost protectively - as if the nature they were lounging in knew the intent behind them even as it's mage questioned them entirely.
The moon hung lazily above the two of them, half-lidded in darkness and far away. It left the stars to shine in earnest, their dim light the only one truly shining upon them for over a mile... but even at that distance, the whisper of the city they had left seemed to follow them, the streetlamps a glowing, faraway haze.
When she had stepped off the path, Zelos had made a slippery remark, words pulled as easily from his lips as he was tugged along behind her. She had no intent of taking him off the traveler's worn road to harass him.
-- not in the forest, anywho.
She had been here before, she assured him, a paper parcel full of dried herbs and aromatics well and truly crushed in her rucksack. He had to trust her.
(There had been no quippy remark then, she noted belatedly, her attention so drawn to her dark adventuring. But he hadn't released her grasp - not then, not until the trees cleared and the rocky path unveiled her secret.)
She dropped her bag, instructed him to undress as he felt fit, and dug in the messy contents of her medic supplies until she found the crushed package. No matter. Dried, curled pieces of greenery spilled onto the surface of the spring water, the thick fog wafting the scent up into the air in a matter of moments.
"Chamomile," she explained, "and - ... lavender, and lemon balm."
Alta's shorts pooled at her ankles. Her poncho came off over her head next, the fibers catching on one of her earrings momentarily as she continued, half-mumbling:
"For stress relief, and sore muscles. I'm not sure I bought enough, but - ... that was what I could find."
She snuck her underclothes into her bag and turned. By the time Alta found his gaze, she had all but disappeared into the hot spring water, nose and eyes just above the surface.
This had been a gift to repay his own - ... but she would be dishonest to say she didn't benefit from the soak as well.
Her tail swished in the water when he spoke. Her hair looked nearly black where it floated on the surface of the water, giving the woman an oddly ominous appearance as she scrutinized him.
(The water dripping from his chest, the curls that fell over his shoulders, the reflection of the sky in his eyes - ... she could not decipher him. Alta wondered if she ever would.)
"I'm not - ... special," she said in return, raising from the water enough to speak clearly. The spring was hot, the air heavy and sweet with the flowers she had brought. Even if they were unable to make it back into town - ... she doubted setting up a camp here would be the worst thing.
To be able to stare at him and the stars alike would be almost more than she could ask for.
"If anything - ... I should be saying the same for you."
Her tone was bittersweet. He was maddening and endearing all at once, like trying to grapple with the very fog around them: heady and enticing but just out of reach. Alta's lips curled. She reached up, absently scrubbing the day's face paint from her cheeks.
"I'm nothing special," she repeated shyly. "Our meeting was - ... hm. A blue moon? A good chance. If anything - ... I should say the same for you."

Oh. I see. Yikes.
So much for them not being malicious, huh? What kind of person would do something like this to their sibling? I feel as if this would definitely cross some sort of line, even if she were just a stranger to them.
“Mittens” seems like the kind of nickname you’d use for someone only because you know that it annoys them and you want to upset them on purpose. It’s demeaning. But on its own, it could just as easily be interpreted as affectionate.
With all this on top of that, though... not so much.
Have they ever done something like this to her before?

Brett Eldredge - Songs About You
So today on MSR (Midnight Star Review), I will be talking about the latest album from Country Music Singer Brett Eldredge. His new album is titled "Songs about you" and was released on June 17th, 2022. But before we dive into the new project, let's talk a little bit about Brett's Career so far.
Brett Eldredge has had some success on my charts with songs like "Wanna be that song", Love somebody", (Which he has a version dedicated to his dog Edgar, & "The long way". Brett has scored 3 number ones on my weekly list MSR (Midnight Star Report) which combines now the Billboard Country Music Airplay Chart, CMT (Country Music Television), & even myself. But let's get back to this new Cd which has 12 tracks on it.
On this project, there a lot of stand out songs. And when I was writing this up, I was listening to the CD. But songs I think you should check out are "Can't keep up" which mentions "The Devil went down to Georgia" (Charlie Daniels band reference), "Songs about you" is a very good choice for the title track, & "I feel fine" is a really good track that probably won't get airplay. But there are stand out tracks on this CD and it is very tough to pick one for the track of the album. The stand out tracks are "Hideaway", "Home sweet love", & "Want that back". CMT has previewed a few songs from the CD including "Holy water". Let's see the rest of the track list up next.
Track list.
Can't keep up.
Songs about you.
I feel fine.
What else ya got.
Hideaway.
Get out of my house.
Home sweet love.
Want that back.
Wait up for me.
Where do I sign.
Holy water.
Where the light meets the sea.
And that's a wrap for the track list. Brett is very underrated Country Music Artist, and I still believe that. He deserves more credit for what he does for Country Music. And on the MSR (Midnight Star Review), I would give this new album a 5 out of 5 stars. There are a lot of stand out tracks which isn't a bad thing. Brett had a hand in co-writing all 12 tracks. Thanks for taking time to read this review. See ya all next time.

1989 is coming! Blue is everywhere..
it’s pretty amazing to me that every fan has been able to agree upon each album being represented by a color. taylor liked a post where a person ascribed an album to each room in the lover snowglobe house, yes, but if we get into the nitty gritty of it—mostly that the orange room got ascribed to fearless when her emoji hints for fearless were definitely yellow hearts, or debut not obviously being green—maybe it’s just a theory that taylor fell in love with and co-signed or something but anyway.. i just am very taken by how it became a part of the greater zeitgeist because, it’s sort of hard to avoid wearing certain colors, or, well, there are only so many options in the rainbow. idk i don’t have a point or anything lol i just find the way this thing has been shaking out to be interesting/amusing
