As the morning sun shined through the windows of the bedroom, you stir in your sleep, your body laying comfortably on the soft bed.

Your eyes slowly open as you awoke, blinking away the sleep while your mind registered that it was now morning.

And you also realized that beside you, was empty space. Your eyebrows furrowed in confusion, because you were sure Taylor didn't have any work today. Unless whatever she's said last night was just a dream.

You slowly sat up and turned to let your legs dangle from the bed, a yawn leaving your mouth.

The door was open just a creak, and you know Taylor wouldn't have left it opened unless she was home, so you wake up a with little bit more hope, and got out of bed.

Right as you walk to the door, even with it open just slightly, you can already hear that familiar voice you love oh so much, like a soft melody that was always beautiful, even if she wasn't singing.

You slowly make your way downstairs, and you see Taylor sitting cross-legged on the couch, one of her hand holding up her phone while the other was making it across her chest to rest against the one holding the phone.

Even as you arrived downstairs, she was far too focused on talking to the person on the call, that she didn't notice you. Once you got close enough, you soon recognize that she was talking to Tree. Perhaps about some merchandise, or a new album, or a show she's planning, you weren't entirely sure.

Her wavy hair was frizzily tied up in a ponytail, a few small strands getting out here and there. She wore a loose white collared shirt, and some comfortable sweatpants while she sat on the couch. It was a usual sight really, but it always made you smile just seeing her.

You made your path to cross towards her from the stairs and to the couch, to which was when she started to notice you were present in the room.

Her eyes looked at you first until she turned her head at you with a smile. Her arm across her chest moved to open a space for you while Tree talked. She adored you even in the morning.

You make up a somewhat pouty smile before you went to sit on her lap. She sets the phone down somewhere on the couch to have both of her arms free, just to wrap them around you.

You make yourself comfortable in her warmth, your head resting between her shoulder and her neck. The blonde then leaves a soft kiss on the side of your head, making you to look up at her adorably with a smile that she reflects.

Your mind just about registers the ending of her conversation on the phone, only hearing her voice saying, "Okay Tree, thank you. I'll talk to you about everything else later." She says softly of her goodbye along with Tree.

Right when her finger taps on the end call button, she turns to look at you, her eyes glimmering in love. You could feel your heart rate grow quicker with even just a look. "Good morning, baby."

"Morning," you say with a smile, your head having moved to rest against her shoulder, gazing at her face that was perfect even in the morning.

"You slept well?" Her hand goes to move a stray hair away from your face. You respond with a nod, and she matches your lips.

"You weren't there when I woke up." Your voice was quiet and soft, your fingers finding their way to hers, fiddling around with each of them.

"I'm sorry, darling. I had a call, and I didn't want to wake you up with the talking." The soft skin brushing against each other had her looking down softly with her lips turned up. She watches your fingers moving with hers, glad you could find comfort in even just a small, simple way.

"Do you want breakfast?" She asks, knowing you were hungry. The clock on the wall showed that it was almost well over the usual breakfast time.

"Yeah." You whisper, your face slightly hiding in her shoulder from how fast she figured out what you were just about to say before she spoke up.

"Well then, we will be having pancakes, if that's okay with you." She leaned closer towards you as she said her words, and even though you were already close, the way she did so with leaving little distance between you two made you feel her breath just slightly tickling your cheeks.

"More than okay." When she hears your agreement, she places the gentlest kiss right on the tip of your nose before pulling away.

"Let's go then." She pats your thigh lightly, signalling you to get up. You do, and she follows you along, the both of you going off to the kitchen.

She already had the ingredients ready on the kitchen counters. You'd guess she had them prepared while she was on the phone, and it warmed your heart from how she fit in the thought of you while she had work to think about.

"First, we start with this," She holds up her phone, placing it on the counter. Her fingers moved across the screen, finding a song, and when she does, she taps play on it, the starting melody reaching your ears. It was a slow one, perfect for peaceful mornings like these.

You assumed she was simply wanting some background music, but instead of walking to the prepared ingredients, she goes back to you. Your eyes were curious as to what she was up to as you watched her

She takes ahold of your waist gently, and starts swaying along with you. You let out a small laugh in a breath. She never fails in making you feel like you're falling in love with her for the first time, all over again. The movement matches the rhythm of the song, the moment slowly turning more special.

The sunlight was gleaming through the windows, casting a warm yellow glow onto the floor, but the tiles of the kitchen were cold still from the rainy midnight before.

She gently pulls one of your arms up, and you knew it was a signal to spin, so you did, while she kept her eye on you to catch you if need be.

Your back was against her front now, and her hands were placed just on your lower stomach, her head resting on your shoulder, watching your face from the side. She admired every feature she could.

"You are the most loveliest human on earth, you know?" She whispers, her voice like honey, drizzled over your soft skin.

"Can't be me, 'cause you are." You say, and her teeth catches her bottom lip as she tried her hardest not to smile more than she already is.

"We both are then." The two of you share a kiss, both of your hearts warmed by your new favorite warm morning together, and by the love you held.

Eddie doesn’t laugh the way Steve thinks he would. Instead, he frowns slightly. “Should be careful,” he mumbles. “Some dealers don’t care what they give you, long as they get their money.”

Steve hums in response. “Well, I won’t have to worry about that now, right?” He shifts on the roof, laying down to look up at the stars. Feels, more than sees, Eddie do the same. “You’re staying.”

“That I am,” Eddie replies, sighing as he looks at the stars. “Wish we could see ‘em all.”

Steve glances over, and Eddie lifts a hand, waves it lazily at the sky. “The stars. Can’t see but half of ‘em cause of all the lights. But they’re so pretty. So bright. Almost enough to make me want to brave my dad again.”

Steve hums. “He’s still alive?”

“Yeah. ‘S he not? In four years?”

“I dunno exactly. Just… the way you phrased things made it sound like he wasn’t.”

“Well, hell,” Eddie laughs, raising the blunt like it’s a glass. “I’ll drink to that.”

Steve snorts and knocks his knuckles against Eddie’s, accepting the joint again after Eddie takes a drag. “So,” Eddie says, rolling over to lay on his front, propping himself up on his elbows. “Tell me the Steve Harrington hierarchy for dates. What comes first?”

Steve chuckles. “Why?” He asks, then answers regardless. “First date is getting to know each other, y’know? If you run out of things to say twenty minutes into it, how the hell’re you supposed to make a relationship work, right? So first date is making sure you’re…” he waves a hand around, looking for the right word. “Like… making sure you match.”

“Compatible?” Eddie suggests, and Steve snaps at him.

“Compatible, that’s it, yeah. Making sure you’re compatible. Second date’s for making sure you’re serious about it, making sure there’s still more to talk about, that you’re not gonna end up staring awkwardly at each other twenty minutes into that date because maybe you’re compatible enough for one date, but not really two, right?”

“So every subsequent date is just making sure you’re compatible.”

“I guess, yeah. Except when you know you are compatible, then you show ‘em who you really are. You put away your nice shirts and start getting out the everyday ones. The dates aren’t as planned out because they don’t need to be, because you already have fun together. Maybe you go to the arcade and you don’t let ‘em win. Or not as easy, at least. I’m still terrible at bowling. I don’t think there’s any hope for me.” He shakes his head with a chuckle.

Eddie raises a brow. “You’re telling me there’s a sport in which you don’t excel? This I have to see.”

Steve laughs and nudges his shoulder. “Man, shuddup.”

“No, but seriously,” Eddie says, and he sounds serious, so Steve drops his smile and listens. “If… if I were to go on a date, on a few dates, with a guy, maybe someone like you, and it’s going well, and we get to that point… I could imagine us doing pretty much exactly this.”

“Getting high on a roof?”

“Spending time together,” Eddie says quietly. “No expectations.”

“Oh,” Steve says quietly, sure his cheeks are scarlet.

“And,” Eddie says even quieter, practically a whisper, “I maybe wouldn’t mind trying with you.”

“As excited as that makes me,” Steve says, “and trust me, I’m pretty damn excited, I can’t help but think maybe we should wait until we’re past the end of the world.”

“Sure,” Eddie says, and brushes his knuckles against Steve’s. They both watch the movement. “Figure I’ve waited this long, what’s a little bit longer, right?”

“Yeah,” Steve murmurs, pressing his thumb to one of Eddie’s knuckles. Wishes he was pressing his lips to that knuckle instead.

He suddenly sighs. “It’s not just gonna be a week or two, y’know. It’s… when this is over, we can’t stay. Robin and I, we’ve gotta go back to the future.”

“Well, sure, but there’s some version of you that’s gonna stay, right?”

“And if that version of me doesn’t know that any of this happened? ‘M still an asshole, Eddie.”

Eddie grins and rolls over until they’re face-to-face. “I don’t think you’re capable of not being bitchy,” he says, laughing when Steve good-naturedly shoves his face away. “No, but hey,” he says quieter, more serious. “The Harrington Charm might be legendary, but us Munsons got a few tricks up our sleeves too, m’kay? If I have to win you back, I’ll do it. Or could you write yourself a note, maybe? Alli’s staying, she could give it to you. You could write to ask any one of us about it, and we’d tell you.”

Steve hums. “How do you do that?”

Eddie blinks. “Do what?”

“Make me feel like everything’s gonna be alright.”

Eddie blushes, but doesn’t answer, just offers Steve the joint again.

AITA for kissing my friend's crush?

I feel the need to add a bit of backstory: I grew up with my friend. I love her to death, she is my best friend and family. We are both the same age (26 now, 25 when the event occurred). We both were socially awkward throughout school, and recently I have been diagnosed with ADHD.

Growing up however, people would always choose her over me. I did not blame them, my friend is attractive and I do not think I am. I have been told to my face I'm too tall and she's perfect height (I am 6" and she is 5"4'). I've been told my chest is too small compared to hers, or that my thighs are too big. People would compare us a lot and always said she was more attractive but I was smarter. This i know has subconsciously made me compare myself to her in many ways.

My friend was telling me about this guy. Really talked him up, stated she thought we would be a good match. A few months went by and all of a sudden we wouldn't be a good match, we liked different things. It was a complete switch up from what she had been saying. I knew she had a crush on this guy.

Well, me and my friend were at a party and this guy was there. I had never met him prior to this night. She introduced me to a whole group of people I had never met. This dude was extremely charismatic and later I found out he had been flirting with me most of the night. I had thought he was being friendly, because in my mind he treated me the same as everyone else.

Well, my friend had went outside to do something (vape or smoke im not sure what) and me and him were in a corner of the living room talking. He kissed me first. I asked him why he did that and he flat out told me he had been flirting all night. I told him I had zero clue and thought he had flirted with my friend. He told me he did not like my friend that way at all.

We spoke a bit more before I asked if I could kiss him, which he readily agreed. We made out and my friend caught us. She was pissed and was my ride so we left. I thought she was mad at first because she had caught us making out and my friend has said she doesn't like PDA.

We didn't talk about it until the next day, which she then told me it was a bad idea and she was mad because she had a crush on him. This was the first time she herself had confirmed she had a crush, but I had suspected up til that point. I told her I had guessed but wasn't sure. She then got more mad because if I had guessed she had a crush, I shouldn't have kissed the guy.

Normally, I would agree. However, the guy said he didn't like her but he did me and had been flirting with me, im just bad at social cues. But the real kicker here is my friend is married. She is married and they are NOT in an open relationship. I am fully single as was the guy.

I thought the whole thing was over as it happened a few months ago, but she brought it up again because I was showing her a picture of a guy I liked and she told me that maybe she should kiss him so I'd know how it feels. She admitted she is still upset about it, even though she doesn't have a crush on the guy now (she even admits she only had a crush on him because she went through a rough patch in her marriage where her and her husband were fighting constantly but they've been in therapy and she says things are good now). She says the reason she is upset is because I had suspected her feelings and still kissed the guy even though I knew it would cause her pain.

"I'm kinda here to prove my friends from home wrong. They think that I wouldn't be able to have a stable marriage and I thought, I know I can. The more and more I thought about it, it would be... nice to meet someone, yeah," Minho smiled at the camera bashfully. "As long as they can handle me, I can handle them."

"I did just come out of a 4 year relationship, it was, hard. It feels sort of awkward to say but I do miss having someone there next to me where I can just appreciate the little things," he felt awkward as he said it, "that felt too weird to say. Forget I ever said that."

"I work in a cat cafe, one that I own, which is my dream job. I get to see all the cute cats all day and the people are ok too, haha," Minho chuckled. "They're good at keeping me company, and it's nice having someone there. Did I mention that?"

"I'm hoping that out of this process, when I meet my wife that she'll have a big heart, because mine is open."

"My name is Changbin and I'm 24," a man with broad shoulders and a toned chest accentuated by a tight shirt sat down in front of the camera.

"I think people think that being a personal trainer, I'd have met a lot of girls and already have a girlfriend by now, but that's not necessarily the case," Changbin grins and scratches the back of his neck.

"Yeah, I love my job but you know... things have to stay professional," he pretended to push his hands away from him as if representing the distance. "I just want someone who is fun and will want to have fun being with me."

"My last relationship hmmm... we were just kids. It was 6 years ago so I've changed a lot since then. It was fun, I can't deny that but there was so much ahead of us that it felt impossible to stay together," Changbin wisely reflected in his past relationship. "I know that maybe if things were different we would have still been together but, the world has a strange way of making things happen."

"It's definitely shaped me into the person I am today," he cheekily flexed his arms before continuing, "but seriously, I really am just looking forward to the process, and of course meeting my wife."

"Hi, I'm Hyunjin and I'm 23!"

"If I'm being honest, this is really weird... so weird! But it's exciting too, like I could fine 'the one' through this experiment. And I hope whoever walks down that aisle will know that I'm here and willing to give them my all," Hyunjin was confident as he spoke on camera, laughing at first at the absurdity of it all despite him choosing to join the experiment.

"I recently just had a breakup around 6 months ago..." he was almost sheepish in admitting it, "which sounds crazy but I'm at that stage where I feel so ready to settle down and commit to someone. This is the perfect opportunity."

"What I really love doing is working as an artist. I get quite highly paid commissions," Hyunjin winked at the camera as he adjusted his hair. "It's a good way to express what I'm feeling if I can't necessarily say it. But once I meet my wife, I think I'll get a lot better at that. She'll be the most important person in my life, after all."

"Helllooooo! I'm Jisung and I'm 23!"

"It's about time I found someone, I'm gonna say it just like that," he chuckled, looking away. "I see everyone around me and they've all got partners but I want to find someone too. They've got to be funny, and, it would be nice if they were the life of the party, because sometimes I can feel quite shy and introverted. If they've got the energy then so do I."

"I've not had a relationship before. Sure I've dated but I find it hard to see what the future will hold sometimes. So this will probably help me grow a lot and see sides to myself that I've never seen before. I'm excited," Jisung's eyes squinted as he was so happy of what his marriage would bring him.

"I've written so many love songs recently, you wouldn't believe it. I produce for other people but I hope one day I can get my own music out there," Jisung shared his hopes and dreams to the camera. "I hope my wife is someone who is supportive in that sense. Because I'll back her 100%, no matter what she does. We'll be like this," he crosses his fingers tightly.

"Hi! I'm Felix and I'm 23," a cute man with delicate features beamed at the camera, his freckles very apparent.

"This is like the perfect thing for me to do. I just love meeting new people, so if I can find someone who is my best friend and likes being affectionate and is someone I can know on a deeper level, that itself would be the ideal experience for me," he waved his hands around slightly as he spoke.

"I've been single for 3 years. The last person I was with... They really had a grip on my heart, but I had to take a look at what was better for me, healthier for me. I wasn't getting that love I needed so it ended for the right reasons. And I'm happier now that I can actually say that to myself," Felix was quieter and more soft spoken as he explained.

"My real passion is baking. I love seeing how people react to what I make for them, I think food is my love language haha," Felix leant forward as he laughed. "If my wife will be willing to try what I bake them that's already gonna make my heart go pitter patter."

"My name is Seungmin and I'm 23 years old."

"I'm here for love. I'm a busy guy and I haven't had time to form a real strong connection with someone, so I'm hoping this show will do that for me," Seungmin explained it plain and simple. "I don't know if I could be with someone too soft hearted, you've gotta be able to handle my teasing because if you cry... I don't know what to do, haha."

"2 years, it's been, I think? Yeah, 2 years. Not the best thing seeing your girlfriend at the time sneaking around with your boss, but," Seungmin sighed, nodding his head as he got through his last words on the question, "things happen. I moved on eventually and so I'm ready to find someone that will be faithful, at the very least, and will hopefully understand my wariness at the start."

"I work for a big company in the city, don't worry I won't name drop," Seungmin smirks as he looks off camera to the staff operating the interview. "It's a lot to handle, sure, but knowing I'd have someone special in my life to come home to, where we can share now our days went, that's what I want. What I need."

"I'm 22 and my name is Jeongin."

"If I can meet someone who is the light in my life, I'll be hook, line and sinker for them," he grinned widely. "I want to do all the couple things and go on movie dates and nice dinners, and yeah," he shrugged after, not knowing what else to say.

"My last relationship ended a year ago. It was short but at the end of the day it was better for both of us. We each had our own things going on in our lives that we just couldn't be there for each other anymore," Jeongin bravely admitted that the breakdown of the relationship had happened because of both sides.

"I'm a kindergarten teacher so I'm working with kids all day, they're so sweet though, it's cute. I'm used to high energy all the time so to have someone to destress with, have that safe space at home would bring some comfort," he was happy when talking about his job, it was something he loved doing, working with children. "I think this process will be interesting for sure, but I know that coming out of this I'll meet someone who will change my life for the better."

Jimin, there is something wrong with your watch.

The live started at 20:54 KST on 1st September but your watch is showing something very different 🤔

I took this screen shot myself because I couldn't believe what I was seeing on SM.

Jungkook has told us himself in his live the time he was born and it is the time on his watch tattoo

So we first see his watch at around the 3 minute mark and at this point it is showing the time to be approx 3:26, that math is matching for me and I'm not that good at maths at all.

Now I know some will say "but maybe he just hasn't changed his watch from when he travelled". Firstly very few countries have minutes adjusted in their time zone, those that do are India, some territories in Australia, Chatham Islands in New Zealand, Newfoundland in Canada, Sri Lanka, Iran, Myanmar, French Polynesia and Iran. I am going to take a wild guess and say he hasn't been to any of those. And these are the only countries that are in the time difference window.

I am going to give the not resetting his watch excuse a big NO!

So even though on the surface this live wasn't for JKs birthday when you get into the details it was all about JKs birthday.

The house tour, a very JK thing to do and not a very Jimin thing to do. Including a demonstration of his mood light in his bedroom.

The time on the watch and the year the watch was launched, it all points to Jungkook.

The attention to detail they both have always amazes me. It shouldn't because they have a rich history of it being all in the details, but it does.

It is romantic, it is beautiful, it is sexy and it is so damn Jikook.

Love them both to the moon and back 🌙

The black model will be available at 3/30/2018 and the white will be available at 4/18/2018. We know that at the time, WYB will surely have what’s new when it comes to NIKE. It’s either it will be sent to him cause he has a relationship with the brand or he will buy it himself. He is known to always wear the latest designs released. He is also a collector, so he most likely bought the black and white version.

WYB wore the white version on 4/28 and ZZ wore the black model on 5/8 based on photos.

As for ZZ, he was recording an episode for a show and he also used this shoe for the rehearsal. It is the same show where he had to dance and the choreography was taught by WYB. We’ve seen this in the BTS and ZZ talked about it himself.

WYB was seen again with the pair during PD101 on 5/10. It’s funny cause this is the same day where XZ was filmed candidly behind the scenes and he said he hasn’t seen LWJ all day.

3. They bought it together, as you would when you’re with a friend and are scrolling through shopping apps together. I think there are fake rumors of that, the two, in between takes scroll through their phones and buy each other stuff or same style clothes. A clue for that is WYB was seen with the black pair during CQL filming around early 6/2018. You can clown that he is wearing ZZ’s shoes or he did buy the 2 kinds for his own and ZZ got the black only.

Aemond targaryen x targaryen reader: part 26

Rhaenyra and Daemon attacked at dawn, the castle turning to chaos as Aemond and Aegon fought to get to their dragons. Locking Y/n in the chambers, Aemond kissing her hard telling her he would be back that he loved her so much and he would never leave her. The two brothers ascending to try and fight off the attack, Jacaerys coming in to take down Sunfyre the two dragons fighting. Rhaenyra going straight for the redkeep crashing through the doors, Syrrax burning any who tried to come close. Daemon flew towards Aemond, he was going to kill the cunt who took his daughter, Caraxes and Vhagar screeching at each other.

"I'm going to gift your head to my daughter and feed your body to Vhagar. She can keep Vhagar." Daemon did not plan to kill Vhagar, his daughter would need a new dragon and what better dragon than her torturers. Aemond chuckled, commanding Vhagar to land, Caraxes following suit as the two men climbed off.

"My wife will have your head on her mantlepiece to show celebrate my victory." Aemond swung at Daemon, the two matched in combat as Vhagar tried to kill Caraxes but the red dragon was quick, flying the larger one away from her rider.

Rhaenyra climbed down from Syrrax, her soldier coming in behind to take down any guards, slaughtering those who tried to harm her. Alicent stood by the throne, Sir Criston in front of her sword raised towards his ex lover.

"Alicent call off this war and i will spare your children, i will let you live in exile, i will be more merciful than you have been to my children." Sir Criston swung, commanding the queen to get to safety, Alicent ran to her only advantage forcing herself into Y/n's chambers. A dagger against the younger girls throat, Alicents eyes filled with fear as she forced Y/n with her to the tunnels. She was going to find her children and run away, she prayed they were alive and hopefully killing the vile blacks.

Aemond and Daemon's fight had moved closer and closer to the castle, both damaged as they threw insults at the other. The hatred growing as Aemond described his love for Y/n, how he'd taken her on the balcony, her pledging herself to him to be his queen. Daemon felt the fury in his blood burning his skin, screaming as he lunged at Aemond. The two slamming swords together, teeth bared and knuckles white from gripping their swords.

Aegon had managed to get the upper hand on Jacaerys, Sunfyre biting the head of his dragon off, the two falling into the village, Jacaerys screaming as he fell to his death. Aegon smirked as he flew Sunfyre towards the red keep, he was going to kill Rhaenyra and force everyone to see him as the true king.

Y/n was dragged through the tunnels, Alicent talking to herself of her plan, her grip bruising as she forced her ahead. Y/n finally snapped, grabbing the blade with her palm, yanking it away and slicing her hand. Alicent screamed as Y/n turned on her, knife drawn to kill the retched woman.

"Y/n, i will let you live, i'll send you somewhere far away from Aemond. He'll never find you." Y/n laughed at her pathetic attempt to appease her.

"You think wherever i go he won't find me? He's a maniac Alicent, you may pretend to be blind to his infatuation but you cannot be so stupid as to think you can control him." Alicent tried to run, Y/n pulling her back holding her against the wall with the knife to her throat.

"You have let your sons run around with no consequences, everything that has happened has been your fathers doing. You are all pawns in this game and yet you still believe yourself to be important. You are easily replaced, you will not be remembered in history. You will be but a whisper amongst those of old, a forgotten whore who sold herself for power she never held." Y/n gripped her throat, feeling her windpipe against her fingers. She finally had power, something she had been deprived of her for moons now.

things i noticed in the good omens 2 opening title sequence part 1

i watched this frame by frame and have had many thoughts. i'll put things which are interpretation or my perspective in purple. feel free to watch along whilst you read if you haven't seen it yet.

also couple of disclaimers which u may feel free to skip: i grew up with chrisitan iconography but am not christian but because of that i know more about that perspective of abrahamic texts so keep that in mind! i'm using guy as a vibe more than a gender but am happy to take criticism on that bc i'm not sure myself yet. also i haven't looked at any other analyses because i want this to be like a fun little puzzle so apologies for overlap/missing things/being wrong. ok enjoy!

ok, scene 1. mountain range, not sure which one but it could be a biblical reference? so possibly judaean mountains but that is a big stretch. aziraphale is coming down from the heavens whilst crowley emerges from a glowing orange crater, which looks a lot like hell especially with the context later in the intro.

they emerge behind a rock into scene 2 into a tunnel and crowley lights a match with his hell powers? this actually interests me because why use a match if you have fire powers? perhaps he's conserving miracles.

scene 3: we don't actually see them emerge from the tunnel, they're seen up ahead later. we start with an animal's skull in the foreground, and i think it's a ram. there's other ram skeletal remains later and there are various rams eating on the hills. from stage right enters: a delivery guy. they've got a delicate package. it's giving me like holy land vibes? idk i grew up christian and it's like christian movie landscape to me.

anyway the delivery guy is trailing behind a figure all in black who is almost camouflaged in the murky landscape. there's also a tree by them which i think is a mustard seed tree!!! there's a parable about it and it's the vibe of starting from small beginnings like the small little mustard seed grows into a tree which birds chill on.

the figure in black is following a couple of steps behind aziraphale and crowley, and they pass a little ram on a rock which has a fleece which reddens. rams were often used as sacrifices in the old testament and probably in other abrahamic texts. not a good omen.

a raven is on a cart with bags which look like they are full of coin. they are having a little snack. this may be about matthew 6:26 where jesus basically says don't worry so much about money look god's feeding the ravens (sometimes translated as birds in general) and they suck (bc they are seen as unclean maybe because they eat carcasses) and you're better than them. it's like god cares for fucking ravens so he's gonna care for you sinners. also they're omens of death. this will be important very shortly.

there's also some real funky looking birds with four legs on the mountain and those were not in the bible (/j idk if they are or not but i couldn't remember them and i feel like i would have). and the paths on the mountains are scrolls, suggesting maybe that the world around them is literally made of scripture.

crowley sets fire to a little bb ram and now they're all on fire it's very mean of him. no i am not colouring that in purple. i think in this context it might be to cleanse the sins of humanity?

scene 4! finally ok immediately wtf aziraphale why are you secretly a lamp??? my bf thinks this is a supernatural show so i looked it up to spite him and there's a bunch of references to lamps in the torah and talmud but bc english-speaking christians can't be bothered to learn hebrew or greek the bible has the most direct reference i could find: 'the spirit of man is the lamp of the lord'

also crowley is a vibe! not sure what gender she's presenting as here but i'm hazarding a guess as femme. blue has a bunch of meanings but none i was sure about, but i saw a bunch of references to the sky. the funky guy behind him does have a human face with a helmet of black hair i think and is carrying something big that i cannot make out. the person in front of them is giving zombie and they are in a graveyard and there's more context later imo for that being accurate.

going stage left, we have another aziraphale and crowley, not in disguise. if i had to guess, these would be muriel and another new ally who are disguised as them to take the heat off of them. i think.

everyday on a gravestone? could be a reference to the song everyday by buddy holly which has been used in promo so far. it's a song about working up the courage to ask someone out... which could signify a development in aziraphale and crowley's relationship but also could signify something coming in the plot relating to heaven/hell. on a gravestone, the song could reference the fast approach of death. could be a combo of these things too. or could be none! i am no oracle. or am i...

at the back, a bucket of pickled herring is being transported by a skrungly little guy. pickled herring does have links to jewish culture but we know there's a pickled herring scene in edinburgh which maybe more suggests scottish fishing culture (not that the two are mutually exclusive of course). the guy travelling alongside the cart with a goth vibe has a shovel suggesting he's a gravedigger.

jane austen! suggests some of her themes popping up in the show but also suggests they're around winchester cathedral, and it does look like they're going into a building but it looks more like a crypt/mausoleum to me. i tried to find more information about a building like this in winchester but i was looking on ecosia and thus found nothing.

here lies the former shell of beelzebub is a canon reason for the change of actors, but here lies adam?!?!??! i know time could have just passed, but it's still mean!!!!! maybe it's a different adam?

scene 5! i think they've entered down a secret passageway in the crypt - you can see some coffins there and i think the masonry fits well enough. we've got some more people following behind the ones who are dressed like azi and crowley. it's a bit too blurry but i've spotted a few who could be aziraphale in disguise as the odd lantern is gone - i think though he is dressed as the gravedigger now as the original gravedigger seems to have changed their garb. a few more could be crowley although crowley's original form with the blue headscarf is still there. the figure in white near the front gives me undead vibes. helmet hair guy is more visible now. we've got someone holding a lantern near the back who is a vibe (could be religious or in some way guiding the souls of the dead). they're followed by a real funky looking guy who i think is wearing a mask??? hard to tell

ok so so so there is so much around them. skeletons and gravestones suggest we're still in a cemetery. if you look on the left, it's the box the delivery guy from the beginning had!!! so many thoughts about this. mentions of a delivery are everywhere. this box is in the recent prime insta post with angel and demon feathers emerging from it. basically this is very very important, so how did it end up here? was the delivery guy buried with this on his body?

we see a web. we'll come back to that!

little feature i like the skull we see has a backbone and a ribcage which is a vibe

scene 6! a lot of ppl too many to talk about in full but def some skeletons. i think religious figures. there's a cool looking punk? too many things so many stimuli. anyway i think this is a crowd of undead people being led into hell to assist on a mission. why just the undead?

they're exiting something that looks like the crypt they came in from, suggesting it's a secret entrance to hell. might this be where hastur met crowley in season 1?

we've got a big wheel which looks like it's used for some kind of pulley contraption imo, but i don't think it would be for the guillotine unless they wanted to adapt the guillotine somehow, perhaps automate it? big stretch

we've got the pyres of files and computers and office chairs. this is a metaphor for capitalism sucking balls.

web! like before. ok so theories perhaps it's a metaphor showing the web of all of the connecting entrances. perhaps it's a big magic hell thing drawing power from everywhere to its centre. perhaps hell listens to people from webs. maybe demons can travel through webs? idk maybe one of these is 25% right. also later we see a spooder so maybe she has laid eggs?

oooh mysterious fire cave. mayb that's where satan is chilling. the inverted pentacle's outside of it. could also be the government of sorts. my boyf thinks it looks like a skeletal face in a witch hat and i think he is festering with lies.

i like to think we see the different stages of their headquarters. the castle was the first, the grey building is the current/s1 one, and the blueish lighting is coming from what they're upgrading to. this may also be why there's the pyres of stuff: they're doing a little clear out!

also the crushed metally thing in the foreground... i don't want to say it's the bentley.............. so i will not i refuse to be devastated before the show has even begun

scene 7: we come out of the stairs leading up to the public loos by liberty's london which is right next to soho, the implication being that that's another entrance to hell which is in fact true irl. the old-timey underground logo (probs oxford circus) suggests we're not in present day (so maybe adam is fine! or maybe they're time travelling?) which suggests we're in the blitz (ww2) because of the barrage balloon and the aircrafts. this is also suggested by the old routemaster bus.

The Symbol Cipher Theory - A Gravity Falls Mystery: What do the symbols on the portal page mean?

NOTE: Since Rob Renzetti replied to this on Twitter, new/corrected info is being added to this google doc (including everything in this original post) Go there for updates!

There are a lot of things about Journal 3 that I have yet to figure out. What are those dumb little rectangles on the sides of the pages? I’ve tried applying everything I could to them - binary, international telegraph alphabet, morse? I couldn’t crack it. And what of those lines with a bunch of circles in them - you know, the ones that look like crop circles? And what of those numbers? You know the ones - they show up in this order from time to time: 6, 1 345 [or 3 4 5] 12 89 [or 8 9] 10 11. 13. 7. Sometimes they��re rearranged or missing elements, but that’s how they appear at their most complete (on the final page they show up on - across from those alchemical symbols), I hate those numbers. I have no idea what they mean. And boy, have I tried…

Aw well. They probably just mean nothing, right?

But I would like to propose something: Maybe there is one more mystery in Gravity Falls.

The Symbols On The Portal Page

I want to guide you guys through a little exercise. Everyone got their Journal 3s? Alright. Open up to the portal schematics page:

t’s very familiar by now, and truly iconic. But, speaking of icons, look at the symbols. The truth is, these symbols show up a few times throughout the journal, mixed in with the rest of the codes and ciphers. But, similar to the aforementioned alchemical symbols, they probably mean nothing. After all, we’ve pored over them, again and again.

These 13 symbols.

Huh.

13.

On a half-circle.

Well, if that circle were complete, there would probably be 26 symbols.

Which means these might be letters.

Which leads us to the first question. Where are the rest of the letters?

My first move was to check the show.

No dice. Neither of the journals show the other half of the circle - and on the bottom journal, they just flip the symbols upside down - it actually fooled me at first (I was very excited to see these upside down symbols before realizing it wasn’t new at all, simply upside down).

But whatever! We have 13 symbols. Hell, if we had examples of them in certain words, we might even be able to find the other 13 for the full 26.

So… I went through the pages. And I found 4 instances of the code showing up in Journal 3.

The Tie Code (on the same page spread as the Tie of Possession

Bill Page Code (On the same page spread as the one that names Cill Cipher)

The Hide Behind page spread

The Boat page spread (On the same page spread as the Island Heads and the scribbled out boat)

Let's analyze these one at a time.

The Tie Code

This is the only instance of a page including both an upside down and right side up version of a symbol directly from the portal page. It’s odd - we have that circle with the 3 dots, and two sideways T, the sideways table with 2 dots, and the sideways upside-down 7 with a dot here.

I’m not sure we are able to get more meaning from these, but we’ve learned something: these symbols do show up in both right side up and upside down form.

The Bill Page

Of note, we have seen one of these 5 symbols before. The 5th symbol of the Bill code matches the third symbol of the wheel (in its upside down form).

The first symbol on the Bill page also looks suspiciously similar to the second symbol on the portal page - the upside down 7 with a dot. But it’s missing the dot. I’m inclined to think this is a new letter. (I am coming at this from the angle of someone who knows Arabic - where the number of dots on a letter makes a difference in which letter it is. So, you know… maybe it makes a big difference here?)

But at the very least, let’s count this as 4 new symbols: the backwards 4, the N, the 4 lines, and the symbol with a missing dot.

Added to our original 13, that’s 17 symbols so far.

The Hide Behind Page

This code is three rows, in a pattern of 5 symbols, 5 symbols, and 4 symbols (or 5, depending on if you count the first one as 3 vertical lines or 2 vertical lines near 1 vertical line. We also have some more familiar icons. The second, third, and fourth symbols all match a symbol from the portal page in upside-down form!

We also have a repeat of that upside down 7 symbol! Again, without the dot, both in the second and third row (upside down and right side up). But surely they wouldn’t have a symbol with missing elements, like missing dots, right?

I’d like to direct your attention back to the Bill Page Code. Notice anything similar to this code? No? How about now?

So we have our second clue: sometimes, a symbol may be drawn that is missing an element.

So… I am unsure if the upside-down 7 with a dot (portal symbol #2, Bill symbol #1) is being utilized here, just missing the dot. If so, it might be showing up as the 6th AND 12th symbol in this.

Regardless, because it shows up two times without the dot, and because the symbol is missing the dot in the row of symbols that the second row of the Hide Behind Code is emulating from the Bill Code, I will go ahead and again say I am treating it as a new symbol. But I also understand someone else reasoning that it is not.

We also have a repeat of the symbol that is just 3 vertical lines (Portal Symbol #1), and a new symbol that is a sideways table with 1 dot in the center and a line next to it (Hide-behind symbol #1). We also have a strange symbol at the end of row 1: the three lines with 2 more layered on top in an asymmetrical pattern.

The first symbol in row 3, the one that is either 3 vertical lines or 2 vertical lines near 1 vertical line, is bugging me. It can either be one symbol or two. It might also be 4 vertical lines missing the third line (We will see another instance of 4 vertical lines in a bit, so bear with me). Regardless, I’m inclined to treat this as one symbol because of the spacing it lines up with below the symbol above it.

All in all, it looks like there are 3 new symbols, depending on how we treat the first two (or three) symbols in the last line. It’s up to interpretation, but alas. Let’s add in the new ones.

3 + 17 = 20 symbols so far.

The Boat Code

Last one!

We have some more symbols matching up! #9, 10, 11, and 12 on this page match up with #2,3,4 and 5 from the Hide-Behind page!

Let’s take a look at the rest. We start with a dot. It is hard to say for sure if this is its own thing, or if it is part of the stylistic ink-splatter dots on the page. It seems just a little too perfect to count as a splatter, so I will go ahead and count it as a symbol for now. Even if the dot is NOT a symbol on its own, a dot+two vertical lines is new.

Next, we have a recurrence of a double-vertical-line symbol multiple times.

Lastly, #3, 5, 6 and 7 are ALSO new. As established previously, the rest are repeats.

So, we have 6 new symbols. The dot (or the dot with the double line if we’re counting that), the double line (without the dot), the horizontal double line, the triple-horizontal lines with two dots, the upside-down table, the 4 vertical lines

6+20? 26 symbols.

Final notes:

Is this theory perfect? Not at all - there are several letters above that might end up being two, or perhaps symbols that I counted as different, which might be the same one.

But it definitely seems like there are ~26 symbols, which may or may not correspond to 26 letters of the English alphabet. I know, I know, it’s a stretch. But it’s *my* stretch, one I’ve fixated on for way too long.

So which symbols mean which letters? I tried assigning letters 1-13 to the symbols on the portal page, but it feels like gibberish (that being said, this is Gravity Falls we’re talking about here. Gibberish could be any number of ciphers). It might also be letters 14-26? Maybe it being upside down is a clue?

But then I remembered, The Numbers:

This is the last iteration of the numbers. The last version to pop up before the journal switches perspective from Ford to Dipper. It is also the most complete version.

6, 1 345 [or 3 4 5] 12 89 [or 8 9] 10 11. 13. 7

It’s interesting that they go up to 13, is all.

A1Z26 makes this string of numbers into: F A C D E L H I J K M G, but it is missing one of the numbers.

Maybe that’s (roughly) the order of the schematics page? I don’t really have this figured out. Frankly, I’ve been at this for a couple years - that’s how long the theory has been polishing up in my head. It’s time to let this go free.

i’ve been thinking about non-otherkin/non-therian alterhuman identities recently and i realized i haven’t really explored that yet in myself. i have a fairly good grasp on my kintypes (for now at least), but i’ve been ignoring or even in denial about some of my other alterhuman identities.

it started yesterday evening (march 26), when i began to officially question whether maned wolves are a kithtype or kintype of mine. i still don’t know, but today, as i was researching about what hearttypes feel like vs what kintypes feel like, i realized that i’ve felt non-kin alterhuman things before now.

first my mind went to cecil palmer from welcome to night vale. i hyperfixated hard on that podcast when i first listened to it last year. i still get unreasonably excited about it, especially about cecil.

i once briefly considered being fictionkin to cecil, but brushed it off immediately — one, because i don’t feel like i am him (which is a pretty tell-tale sign i’m not), and two, because our personalities aren’t similar except for a few surface-level things. i dismissed it as extreme gender envy and tried to ignore it.

but i still felt (and continue to feel) an intense connection to him.

i’ve related very strongly to characters before, and to characters much more similar to me than cecil is. yet even the character i’ve had an intense spinterest on for several years can’t compete with this flavor of feeling. it goes deeper than gender envy (although it does include that). i want to be him. i’m not distressed that i’m not, but i do thoroughly want to, if just for a few hours. that’s not the full feeling, but it’s the facet i can articulate best.

i denied the possibility of being alterhuman in any way about cecil for so long because i was worried that if i decided to call myself fictionkin, i might lose myself in trying to adopt the personality of someone so different from me. (for a long time i didn’t know how widely acknowledged it is that fictionkin don’t have to match the personalities of the canon version of the character.) i didn’t want to consider fictionhearted either, as i was worried taking that first step would be crossing some line.

i think — well, i know, i just like to allow room for uncertainties — that cecil is a hearttype. (kithtype? fictionkith??)

there’s nothing else he could be to me, honestly. hearttype is the closest i can succinctly come to describing this feeling, and by “closest” i mean pretty darn precise.

and now my other revelation: hearthomes.

although i’ve got cecil as a hearttype, i don’t think i’d describe night vale as my hearthome. i’m fond of it, yes, but my chest doesn’t ache with the longing to live there. no, that honor goes to the world of tangled.

i don’t want to get too detailed, as this post is long enough already, so i’ll keep it short:

i’ve wanted to live in the world of tangled/tangled the series since i first watched the show. i don’t have any hearttypes or kintypes from there, not even an oc-kin. but it feels like home.

i’ve been asked what fictional world i’d live in if i had to choose one. i always immediately answer the tangled universe. for all the plot holes and underdeveloped lore, i absolutely love it, and if a portal opened up in my room right now to take me there i’d hardly hesitate. my favorite spot in disney world is that small tangled-themed section, even if it is just relegated to the bathroom area. it’s the closest i’ll ever get to actually being there. it felt bittersweet when i visited. my heart swelled looking at it all, and i think i’ve cried about it, but i don’t have any concrete memories of the latter.

sooo… yeah. i’m ‘hearted to cecil palmer and the tangledverse is my hearthome.

i’ll add these to my intro post soon. i don’t feel like i need a questioning period for these like i do for the maned wolf. they’ve been boiling in the back of my mind for so long that i already just… kinda know.
