Hello, hope you having a nice day!
Can I request a childhood to lover for Mitsuru, Yukari, Fuuka, and Akihiko
Childhood Friends to Lovers
Fandom: Persona 3
Character(s): Akihiko Sanada, Fuuka Yamagishi, Mitsuru Kirijo, Yukari Takeba
Type of Request: Headcanons
Note(s): Here you go! Massive spoilers to the game !!
Tumblr media
Akihiko
You got to see all the tears that Akihiko shed as a kid. He really was a crybaby when he's cry over you and Shinjiro teasing him or when you would go out of your way to buy something for Miki that Akihiko couldn't.
You also saw the tears after the fire and when Miki passed. You both shed so many tears until Akihiko was the first to stop and promise that he'd get stronger. He didn't mean to grow distant, he just wanted to become stronger to protect those he cared about, to protect Shinjiro and to protect you.
You joined SEES with him and he was glad to have you and Shinjiro still by his side. But then the other incident happened and Shinjiro left and Akihiko felt more alone. He made you promise that you wouldn't leave him - something that he cringes about since and gets flustered when thinking of. But you instantly promised him to stay and it made his heart beat faster than he thought possible.
It isn't until he's trying to get Shinjiro to join back up that he realizes what he feels for you. He always thought it was just love as a really good friend. But Shinjiro teases and taunts him about not asking you out yet and that causes Akihiko to pause and really think about his words. And then he lost Shinjiro and now he can't lose you. All of his feelings come out like a dam being broken and he can't stop it, nor does he want to. Hearing that you love him back feels like he's finally let down the heaviest weight he's carried.
Fuuka
Fuuka has hid out at your house many times, promising her parents that you both would study. Which you do a little bit of just so she doesn't have to be a liar. But it's mostly her having fun and hanging out with you instead of being stressed about the pressure from her parents.
You were one of the only people that she talked to and was open with. Fuuka was so shy with everyone else, but you always made her feel comfortable and happy. And you were by her side when the bullying started. She tried not to bring it up, she didn't want to worry you. But then she vanished.
When Fuuka came back, she did her best to explain what she could to you. It was difficult - how does she even start to explain shadows and Tartarus? But she does her best as she doesn't want to lie and hide from you anymore.
And that includes her feelings. While she tried not to think about it, not wanting to confess when she wasn't proud with herself, she eventually does. It's scary and she doesn't want to lose you, but she knows she can't hide it any longer. You reciprocating her feelings causes her to sigh in relief and when she can make chocolates without accidentally poisoning someone, she'll gladly make you some.
Mitsuru
Growing up together was definitely interesting. You two became friends because you were both taken to the same festival together and learned you lived relatively close. As kids, you both didn't quite realize how different your lives were, you were just kids.
As you grew older is when the differences made themselves more clear. A lot more was expected of Mitsuru. She had to learn to be more prim and proper, not that she minded. But you continued to be so different from her and she liked it. She enjoyed the differences you both had.
Going to the same high school together had given you two another reason to hang out since Mitsuru was constantly busy now. She tried not to drift away from you, she didn't want to lose you. But with SEES, with the Kirijo Group, and with Tartarus, a lot more was stacking on to her plate and it was tougher to find time for you. But she still did her best.
It wasn't until her father was murdered and she shut down that feelings came out. You helped snap her out of it. You were the one that said your feelings first. And while Mitsuru still had so much going on, she appreciated that. She promised you that once everything was fixed, you would learn everything and then you both could go on an official date. Just please, wait a little longer for her.
Yukari
Your house was her safe space after she lost her father and her mother started leaving her behind. There's been so many tears that she's shed in front of you and so many times you've both fallen asleep cuddling because she needed that affection.
It was no wonder that she'd end up being a bit clingy to you growing up. At some point, she does try to distance herself because she doesn't want your relationship to turn sour or unhealthy because she's too dependent on you.
When she was spending time away from you, she realized how much she misses you. At first she thought it was just because you two are really good friends. But then she realized that it was more than that. Yukari definitely had some conflicted feelings after that realization.
Held her feelings back for the longest time because she was afraid of losing your friendship. It isn't until she does find her confidence and place within SEES that she decides to go for it. At hearing your feelings returned, it makes her laugh just because her worries seem so silly now that she knows you love her back.

Hazel tucked her chin against her knees. Shadows were blustering around her, picking up pens and making notations on a dozen different stray papers while Pluto stared, wide-eyed, at the three monitors in front of him. His eyes never flickered away from the one in front of him, but the mouse scrolled rapidly to either side, opening spreadsheets and clacking in numbers.
She liked watching him work. It was kind of funny. For other people it was probably creepy, his dead-eyed stare, pale skin illuminated by the bright monitor in the dim office. Shadows twisted around like tertiary limbs. He barely moved anything but his fingers. Didn't speak a word.
But work was done, vacations approved, overtime denied, gem and metal requests from various gods reviewed, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera.
It was so neat. She wondered if this is how she looked when she reviewed Camp Jupiter's spending. She probably moved more than he did, but the wide-eyed hyperfocused stare, everything else falling to the wayside of shadows and unimportance - she was sure that existed in her. Although she was definitely more startled by sudden presences than he was.
He didn't mind her watching him. He was fully aware she was there, greeted her when she walked in and patted her head when she sat on the edge of his desk, observing.
She glanced over to the monitor. Her eyes scanned through the data. It was an update on the recent mining activity - a couple dozen souls had recently been sentenced to the mines as punishment. Production would increase. Naturally. They'd need to figure out what to prioritize in digging out. No sense in increasing production if the gems being pulled weren't in demand.
Off the top of her head, Hazel considered what she'd do. Review past requests, see what was most popular around this season, what would be most popular in the upcoming season, start on the prep for that. Maybe she'd have some people look over the current trends in jewelry. People weren't clamouring for diamonds the same way they used to be. She was pretty sure pearls were coming back into style this year. Moonstone looked close enough.
She poked Pluto with her finger. He hummed, curiously, sparing her no look, but one of the wiry shadows blustering around poked her back.
She tucked her smile behind her knees. "Do you have moonstone availability?"
"I can," he said easily. "Moonstone does require more pressure to form. And very high temperatures. I usually build it closer down to Tartarus and near the Phlegethon." The screens blurred in a piston of movement as his fingers clicked and clacked at the keyboard and deftly moved about the mousepad. "Yama has very fine moonstone beneath his earth, as well. I'm sure he'd be happy to take some of our beloathed for punishment in exchange." He tilted his face in her direction. "Do you think moonstone will be viable this period?"
Her lip bit raw in her mouth. But she relaxed and nodded. "I do. Pearls are popular this year, but expensive. And there still exists concerns over harvesting. Moonstone is a much more inexpensive substitute and, if well crafted, will be indistinguishable from the untrained eye."
His eyes held her in that same dead-eyed stare. And then they softened. A smile gently graced his face. He slid his chair closer to her and caught the back of her head, bringing her down for a gentle kiss on the head.
"Smart girl," he mused as he slid away. "I'll make a note to increase our moonstone production then."
She grinned widely and resisted the urge to wiggle in excitement. Instead, she relaxed and let herself lean into the wall. The monitors twisted ever so slightly so she could still see them at her new angle.
Maybe Pluto would take her to meet his Hindu counterpart. She considered that, herself tucked into her father's side, dressed clean but not flashy, a little businesswoman at a godly business meeting.
It was exciting to think of. Already thoughts were flowing about what she'd say to urge his "Yes" to the moonstone mining beneath his earth. Pluto had friends across all the chthonic pantheons. They thought he was interesting, and his temperance was smooth enough to handle even the most rowdy of them, but still. She wanted to prove herself in this way. Prove she was of him, the same way Nico was. That she deserved a place at their table too.
I am my father's daughter, she thought. The underground, where all the mineral wealth hides, is my world too.

Oh my gods thank you for answering me I'm about to sleep so I'll annoy you more tomorrow if you keep answering my asks, Kronos thoughts on Percy? Just because of the Rhea dress up series I'm now starting on your ask blog
Don’t worry, it’s nice talking ✌️
Hm… okay, but as I said, Titans can be creepy. (this can be considered a bit darker than the previous snippets, and it gets a bit of titan lore from WTHB, but nothing that counts as an spoiler)
You know these old guys who will look at you and tell you that you look just like their deceased wives? That was Kronos. But at a much younger age, Percy thought it was super normal being compared to a long-recluse titaness.
See, everything was happening so fast ever since he got to camp, that never once he reflected much on the “you look like your grandma” talks. He thought it meant in a “she sided with the Olympians too, now they’re not even on speaking terms with her anymore”, and coming from the guy who ate his kids, Percy wasn’t paying much attention.
Years later, it definitely snapped to him.
Probably talking to one of the other elder titans, he’d come to realise how much Kronos used to really compare him to his former wife. Even in the way he spoke to Percy. Weird. Weird. Weeeeird.
The thing is: after a millennia or two living on Tartarus (and worse, without a body), you don’t end up well. Kronos, all his siblings would confirme, was never in a good place… mentally speaking.
Their father detested him more than he detested anyone else, and in the meanwhile Ouranos worshiped the ground Rhea walked on. And Kronos had a huge, huuuuge crush on her ever since… ever. No need to say that Ouranos was 100% against it, that was his little girl, his favourite, the jewel of his world, one good thing about having kids is that one of these kids were Rhea.
But Rhea liked Kronos too, when he was just that silly guy that made her laugh, so she hoped eventually Ouranos would soften a bit to this potential relationship. Well, it never happened. The whole thing with the coup went on. Rhea could’ve told his father that her mother and brothers were conspiring against him, but turned out she liked Kronos more than she liked their father.
Kronos was very smug about it.
About the time the coup happened, some of the titans were already married. Tethys and Oceanus had a lot of kids already, Hyperion and Theia had Helios and Selene already, and it was just a matter of time before Koios and Phoebe started having kids too. Krios was trying to woo his violent sea lady and Iapetus was doing just alright as a bachelor (until Clymene was born, but that’s an entirely different story), and the other titanesses were still in their “Boys??? Ew!!!” era. So, Rhea and Kronos got together. Everyone knew it’d happen. Happy ending, right?
Nope. As stated before, Kronos never been in a nice mental state. But Rhea loved him very much, and thought Kronos’ turmoil was just a matter of time (yes, a pun) and that he’d be fine sooner than later and would like have kids just as much as Hyperion but a little less than Oceanos (she didn’t want to have that many kids).
Then, she got pregnant. And he ate the baby. Then again. Then again. Then again. Well, we all know the story about how it got to the rock.
But Kronos… not so much. Maybe something deep (as Tartarus) down, he felt bad about it. Maybe he did want to have kids. Maybe he even liked the kids that he had. He made a joke about his daughters’ future weddings on the day Helios got married to Oceanos’ eldest girl, Perseus, who was Kronos’ favourite niece. He spoke about them like they were sitting just beside him, not in the bottom of his stomach. That was terrible. Rhea cried a lot.
So everything to say: Kronos is not very aware of reality as it is. He’s a terrible person (titan, whatever), but he’s also a very confused one. So at the sight of Percy, he didn’t see Percy… At least, not all times. Usually, he’d see Rhea playing in a younger, boyish figure. Sometimes, he’d see his enemy. And sometimes, it’d mix. And if Rhea was a bit wilder, well, he wasn’t exactly the same either, so whatever.
And if if Rhea had loved him more than she loved her father once, maybe it could work again, right?
But Luke didn’t want to cooperate with this part of his plan. Thankfully.

Oh yeah that makes sense, I didn't even consider that part about Apollo being an unreliable narrator and demigods having a different way of interacting in friendships. It still hurts my heart a little though bc I LOVE Apollo 😭 and I'm glad you like answering asks about toa bc I have a lot of thoughts :)) I saw a spoiler about the ending of the last book where will and Nico are about to go on their quest to Tartarus and Apollo says he can't help them with that, what are your thoughts on that? It made me :/ a bit bc an Apollo who loves his children and who knows what it's like to be a mortal and how difficult it is for demigods should not be so casual about hi own son going off to literal hell and then saying he can't help ... It seems ooc to me. What do you think?
OH ANON. WELCOME TO THE CLUB.
Literally every ToA fan thinks Apollo just letting Nico and Will fuck off to Tartarus is ooc and stupid.
I totally understand how the solangelo book needed to work on its own to give Will and Nico the chance to shine, but it truly makes no sense for them to inform Apollo of their plan without Apollo at the very least attempting to convince them to leave it alone!!
The solangelo book could have simply worked on the premise that neither Apollo nor Hades know anything about Nico and Will’s plan. The moment Rick Riordan canonically confirmed that Apollo is AWARE of his sunshine son wanting to jump to Hell, it becomes soo OOC of him to not care or intervene😭
And the part about Apollo being like “i just don’t want to tell demigods what to do <3” DUDE WHAT THE HELL, it’s your literal job as a parental figure to tell demigods what to do (=advice them and guide them). I just… don’t get it.
Personally, I like to consider that scene a simple narrative device with no bearing on the rest of the story: Rick needed to tease the solangelo book + Apollo was the only narrator available + adults notoriously can’t help in kids’ books because that would make the kids NOT the protagonists anymore = “I know of Will and Nico’s plan but I can’t help ah-ah”.
When you’re done with the books, I recommend you to read Eclipse by @tsarinatorment if you want to see an alternative ending where Apollo doesn’t just shrug and say “well, whatever🧍🏻‍♀️” when Will tells him of Tartarus.
I (thesungod on Ao3) also have a couple of fics brushing the Tartarus topic post ToA (technically, one of them is still not online because it’s being written but it’s almost done eheh), and there are so many fics about Apollo generally being a good dad post-canon you can find browsing the tag, if you’ll be in the mood for some more content when you’re done with the books. I know I definitely was😅.
If Rick Riordan doesn’t give us what we want, we’ll just make it ourselves🤪.
With that said, I’m happy you love Apollo and I’m always here to answer more ToA questions and give my opinions because ToA is the book series of my life <33
Enjoy the rest of the series <3

With hindsight how do you feel about my hero? If things keep the course and this is the final arc and everything wraps up after the heroes win how has your view and opinion of past chapters changed?
Personally the story is very different from where I thought it'd be when I first started watching the anime. The villains didn't end up being what I hoped they'd be and the ones I'd hoped would get more time and action ended up falling off, same with some of the students. The biggest change for me has to be the pros, originally I didn't think much of them and figured they'd only be cool background pieces while we focus on the students. But now I actually enjoy the pros as characters and my favorite character arc isn't one of the kids or villains but an adult hero.
Hmm, that's a question to get the introspection flowing. How fun.
For one thing; I definitely didn’t expect the villains to be as major players, or such favourites of mine, as they ended up being when I started the series. I mean I always knew in my heart Shigaraki was gonna be the major villain player, more successful and with more to him than Overhaul or AFO. (Man, remember when people hoped Overhaul would take over as main villain from Shigaraki? Wild, right? I think they said the same of Stain too back then.) But that he reached near deuteragonist status surprised me.
My opinions on the pros as a whole have definitely lessened, but thinking about it, most opinions on individuals haven't really changed; main exceptions where my opinions dropped being Hawks and Jeanist. Maybe Mic too, after he nearly blasted Korokumo. But All Might, Wash, or Kamui Woods I feel about the same as ever for. And Endeavor I always hated since his intro, and though I may hate him more now, it’s not really to a significant degree (like, we always suspected Rei didn't consent to all her children, so 301 confirming that could only do so much). But as the other heroes lifted him up and defended him, it dragged them all down. As did realizing how much they were complicit in; Tartarus, the Commissions’ corruptions, and other such red flags waving atop hero society as a whole which the pros seek to uncritically defend.
And more recently, I'm afraid I’ve given up on Deku and the next generation fixing their predecessors' failings (without outside influence anyway). He never really got around to the idea of “surpassing All Might” in anything but quirk ability. That Shoji proposed a passive non-solution to the prejudice that inspired tons of villains while Shinsou started using the red flag battle tactics of using prisoners as weapons against villains is also not helping my perception of the next generation of heroes.
It's a big reason why I keep putting all my hopes, if this is the end, into Deku realizing Shigaraki’s points on the failings of hero society are right and convincing him to work together to find non-violent solutions to those points (instead of the alternative I’m most worried about, Deku insisting he’s just brainwashed by AFO and all his critiques should be ignored). My hope is that this way, Tomura's development could sorta fill in for the development Deku didn't get by never thinking about these things. I'll admit it's kind of a rushed easy-out; but if this is the final arc then it’s either that or this setting is doomed. And despite my critiques I actually do like Deku, and I don’t want him to see hero society rot further under his watch because he’ll be the hero who fails the next Shigaraki(s). So I’m praying for a last minute course correction away from that possibility.

TSATS thoughts
spoilers obviously, you have been warned
yeah wow i am glad i didnt spend money on this book
im not sure if it was the WORST rrverse novel but uhhh,, its definitely up there
ive read fanfictions that better captured the vibe of the rrverse and solangelo specifically than this book did
so many different things about tsats bothered me so im gonna list them off to make myself feel better
will felt ooc, not in the way annoying ppl who only like fanon solangelo say he was but in the i actually read TOA and enjoyed it way
i get that going through the underworld and tartarus was going to be rough on will but he was just SOOO whiney and judgey it was really annoying to read at parts
also the whole storyline of will being a hater about the underworld was so uneccesary like youre telling me will solace, bisexual 2000s/2010s texan boy, healer to a couple dozen diverse kids at chb, literal battlefield medic, would find death and darkness inherently bad and untolerable?? rather than something to reconcile and make piece with??? even though hes literally dating the son of hades????????
like, something very interesting COULDVE been done with will’s character and his feelings towards nico’s past/trauma
picture this:
will, who bases his self esteem on how ‘useful’ he can be to people feels that he has to care for and ‘fix’ nico for nico to love him, he feels inferior because he cant fight as well on his own but he CAN heal people but nico isn’t letting him do that so he feels rejected and insecure
whilst nico doesnt want to let his trauma consume or define him, he also feels like its an inescabaly horrible part of himself that he cant get rid of, and will’s urge to ‘fix’ him makes him feel both unaccepted and that he cant share the worst parts of himself with will
they argue because from nico’s perspective it feels like will is trying to be his therapist and not his boyfriend, and from will’s perspective it feels like nico is pushing him away and if will isnt able to be ‘useful’ to him he fears he wont be loved any more
reconciliation comes in the form of will learning that his self worth isnt determined by how much he can do for other people and that nico loves him for him, and nico learning that part of accepting his darkness is letting people see the worst parts of him and trusting them to still love him not in spite of, but because of who he is
boom, i just came up with a way better, more in character, relationship conflict storyline off the top of my head if i do say so myself
okay back to the other shit that bothered me
why did will not have a weapon?? like??? we literally have that scene of him and chiron stress packing for tartarus and neither of them thinks that will should be armed in some way???
yes obviously will is primarily a medic not a fighter but still, its just such a dumb choice narratively
related to will’s abilities or lack thereof, what was with all the singing will did? he literally said himself in BOO that his sonic whistle was one of his only ‘musical’ abilities and that his talent lied with healing, we’ve seen him heal people w/out siging numerous times, why was this a thing??
also, the fucking care bear stare light blast thing, WHAT
will giving nyx hay fever also bothered me but i’ll admit that has more to do with me just not vibing with plague!will as a concept rather than it being a bad writing choice
speaking of nyx she was so boring
boring villain, boring motives, boring fight, all just boring af to me
the pacing of the book was so weird too
like the jumping back and fort between the trip to/through tartarus and the flashbacks with gorgyra was grating but dealable
but the fact that it took like HALF THE FUCKING BOOK to even get to tartarus was excruciating
there was NO need for all the underworld shit to take that long im sorry
nico also felt ooc, like over the course of TOA he obviously gets a bit softier and dorkier and i really genuinely like that but in TSATS i swear he was laughing or crying every 3 paragraphs and traumadumping to anyone who was (or wasnt) willing to listen like it just didnt feel like nico
all the solangelo pet names, gags
like significant annoyance and glow in the dark boyfriend and will’s various ‘death boy’-esque nicknames worked because they were (affectionate) digs at each other and not used every other sentence, ‘my little ball of darkness’ had the same energy as pookiebear
hazel only getting mentioned like twice was a fucking violation and im genuinely mad that reyna was only kind of mentioned once
like,, i already think thanks to fanon the friendship between jason and nico was/is given way more relevance than it actually has, but reyna was the one who felt all of nico’s pain, who shared her own trauma with him, who watched him kill bryce lawrence, who joined the hunters just like bianca, youre trying to tell me she wouldnt be on nico’s mind literally just as much as jason???
nico and piper have literally never been friends any idk why this book tried to make it seem like they are
im not against a nico/piper friendship or anything but like,,, nico ‘will not share my pain with others unless its literally forced out of me’ di angelo calling up a girl hes barely friendly accquiantances with and crying in front of her as he tells her all about his latest traumas, as her gf who is quite literally a stranger is also there? wack
speaking of bad writing and ooc-ness from nico the story of how he asked out will was terrible
‘i wanted a private date but the dyrads misunderstood and set up a big extravagant public gesture’ feels like something id find in a wattpad fic circa 2015
also theres no way nico went from his levels of internalised homophobia and shame and self loathing in HOH/BOO to publically coming out in front of the entirety of chb and asking will out in literally less than 6 months tf
the real-but-not-real dream with bianca and maria felt so uneccesary and disingenuous to nico’s character like he’d already accepted bianca’s death and that his old life was behind him and to have hades somehow ‘break the rules’ to bring them back to talk to nico was just so fucking jarring
also HADES being the one to send nico the prophecy, putting the responsibility of rescuing bob on his shoulders and retraumatising him and putting him in a position where he could very much die??? the fuck happened to ‘i want you to be happy’???
yet another instance of bizzare ooc-ness in this book ig
bob reffering to nico and will as his sun and star is just,, never rlly explained lmao
also bob is just, kinda, there, despite being the driving force behind the quest in the first place
i thought we’d get some actual will backstory, get to know more about his relationship with lee and micheal and his time at chb or his experiences growing up queer but no
all we got was that will used to travel around the country with his mom and they were attacked by evil pidgeons in nyc once which is how will’s satyr found him in the first place, cool i guess
i didnt mind the story of will and nico’s first kiss as much as their getting together but it still felt really fanfiction-y and cliche ngl
percabeth were WAYYY too fucking chill about solangelo going to tartarus and shouldve tried much harder to disaude them from going
also ik obviously the book isnt about them but it wouldve been nice for their survior’s guill re: bob to be expanded on a bit more, or even just,, better than rick and mark did it
i fucking hate the cacodemons i hate them SO much its SUCH a dumb narrative choice like literally who tf convinced them this would be a good idea and how can i fight them
i refuse to call them cocoa puffs, the REAL nico di angelo would never, do you hear me
also for a hot second there i thought the implication was that nyx had sexually assualted nico and i was like WOAH thats a bit much for a book for 11yros
honestly it still kind of reads that way since taking nico’s trauma, a part of him, and making something else living out of it without his consent is certainly a violation
not necessarily saying an SA-esque storyline has no place in the rrverse or middle school fiction, i think those topics can be tackled in a way thats appropriate for kids, but it felt out of place in TSATS to me
tartarus want nearly as scary or despair evoking this time around, it was just a dredge to get through and only a bit less boring than all the underworld stuff
i do appreciate that rick and mark were obviously having fun with all the body horror elements
i find it weird that will was, like, THAT broken up about him and nico ‘murdering’ octavian when in BOO he literally spoke about how he’d shoot him if he was better at archery lmao
i get hes a healer obviously there was gonna be some complex emotions there but idk it felt uneccesarily melodramatic
why was chb empty?? no like genuinely why
it contributed nothing to the story and doesnt even make sense since surely some of the year rounders have dead or abusive guardians
like??????? im genuinely confused by this writing descision what purpose did it serve to have chb empty????
i genuinely laughed at the geryon reveal because it was so out of left field, gay rights i guess
the fact that will didnt tell nico abt his talk with persephone felt weird and the talk itself was weirder
yeah overall id give the book a generous 4/10, it if was a fanfic id probably rate it higher but this was a real published book written by rick so im pretty disapointed
heres to hoping chalice of the gods is better

Here is my 2 cents on TSATS criticism
To preface i overall liked the book. The plot is nice and many concepts discussed where also nice.
Lack off Hazel , Reyna, Frank etc... these are people who are close to nico and they should have gotten more mentions than they did. When nico was telling his story of being lost in tartarus alone he mentions thinking about percy annabeth and Jason. While it makes sense he thought about percy and annabeth, him thinking about Jason makes no sense. Jason and nico barely even know each other at this point. Hazel would have been a more fitting person in this instance.
Nico coming out to entire camp and then asking will out in front of everyone. Whilst nico would definitely have been able to eventually come out to everyone, that time period they are referring to Nico simply couldn't have been able to do so. Coming out is scary, coming out to an entire camp full of people and then asking someone out not to mention when you are still struggling with internalized homophobia? I understand they want to show how someone coming out helps other also come out but they could have done that differently. Also I seriously don't believe anyone would be surprised by will coming out lol.
I made a whole another post about Nico becoming a dad to cocoa puffs. I have seen some posts rationalizing this but I still feel very grossed out by this. I mean Nyz is BILLIONS of years old and Nico is 16 at best. I get it we are reading greek mythology but we really didn't need this. We could have still had the cocoa puffs without making nico their DAD. Honestly if not for this one bit I would give this book an 8.5/10. This part makes it go down to 7/10 . (Post I made about this)
Appart from this I dont have much criticism about this book. Sure some bits of dialog seems forced but thats because this book is trying to make 11-13 year olds understand these stuff they may not have proper knowledge about so I am not going to be upset about it. There were a few out of character bits too but overall they where in character . Pls must remember that all of the characters are being portrayed from different perspectives and in new situations. Ofcourse they aren't the exact same as they were in the pov of another character in a different situation. They are also kids and not fully grown adults so they will be acting like kids. Also character development is a major part of this book .

thanks for answering my ask! i am starting to loooooove ur after life city au – it is already one of my favs fan aus so far!
the concept of this au is just creative and clever and interesting so far! like how u made the three clock keepers managing at different times of the day and having that steam-punk style is, ugh! the rest of the lords (and probs nene – i love akanene friendship) readying themselves to commit murder if someone hurts kyo is adorable! (and also him stealing random hearts to inspect them lmaoooo such an unhinged akane thing to do)
then there is shijima abusing her powers to create legit nightmares to those she thinks doesn't deserve it and rides on her paper airplanes cuz she doesn't want to walk – ugh, what a queen! (loving the sakumei crumb!) and mitsuba is hating his job, which kind of makes sense that he doesn't want to cooperate since he isn't a sadist and hates to see people suffer!
and the more i read, the more it makes me want to know the answers to these questions: how akane became kyo, like did he wander into the city after he died at the age of 12 and captured the hearts/the attention of kako and mirai? how come he was declared missing and not dead..? and why is he searching for the key to his clock?; how did sumire and katakuri become no.6's assistants? is it because among the sacrifices to shinigami, these two are the ones who aren't ready/doesn't want to reincarnate?; who is sakura waiting for?; how did tsukasa become hanako's shadow?; what is the role of the minamotos here?; and what is the real reason for hanako in wanting the rest of the lords to work together?
gah! this au is gonna be stuck in my head for a while now!
just, thank u sooooo much for introducing us to this au!!! i hope to see more of it!!
After life city au
Part 1/ Part2/ Part 3
AAAAAAAAAAH THANK YOU SO MUCH
I honestly absolutely wasn't excepting this au to interest sm thank you it means a lot QvQ ANd udgshjdgs you're too nice aaaaah
The three clock keepers managing at different times was just a funny idea I got after the riddle of the Sphinx :DD (even if the riddle is the other way around with the kid at the beginning of the day and the old man at the end but shhht) I thought the idea was really fun and I am pretty sure AidaIro didn't choose an old man for the past, a young man for the present and a kid for the future for nothing :))
Kyo is just way too pure for this underworld they just don't understand XDD they feel like they need to protect him (and yeees I still wanted him to be like super blunt but in a happy way now XD)
And I am happy to see you like the ideas with Mei and Sousuke too aaaah
I will try to answer my best :D
For Amane and Tsukasa I already answered here if you want ^^
What's important to know is indeed what is the Minamotos role. They are descendant of the god of lighting who is the one who decided to banned some gods in the underworld and have the duty to protect the near shore. Yorimistu is the one who decided to give all this reincarnation job to the underworld, promising that if they behaved and did a good job the ancient beings there will be offered a day or two in the near shore sometimes to see the sun.
Teru and Kou are the sons of the Minamoto chief and have learned all their lives how to get rid of supernaturals who end on Earth sometimes (it kinda work as Tartarus in the greek mythology, the monsters never die they just come back after some times). So they are still exorcists in this au.
And they will get involved into this mess because some reports said that several souls never got to reincarnate properly despite being able to go to the After Life city. So they will have to go in it as a official trip between the two shores (because the dad doesn't have the time to go). Hanako is the one who is in charge of keeping touch with them and he HATES them (and if you read the stuff about Hanako and Tsukasa you definitely know why :')), the feeling is reciprocated.
Tumblr media
They don't have that much informations of the far shore, because a lot of books about it got burned several time, a lot of History have been lost between time. So there is a lot of misinformations. They think all the supernaturals there are evil and just trying to get rid of humans. When they wil get ready to go as 'princes' of the Near shore, they will be accompagnied by an Akane girl who said want to act as their guards (with one of her friend, who is only human but will just send a kind of flying robot to go there (that's Lemon, I just wanted him in this au yep that's all so he has a robot yes don't ask)). Since the Akane and Minamotos Family have a long history together they will accept. (You all get that this is Aoi, but she wants to go there definitely not to protect the Minamotos but to take care of some personal business :) and Lemon is here because he is her best friend)
Tumblr media
One of the big misinformation the Minamotos have are about the relationships between the Akane, the Katakuri (I will call them this since I have no idea what is his last name) and the Minamotos. In the recent texts it is said that they are special families who always worked together, so Kou and Teru believe that. But this is absolutely false. Several centuries prior, the Minamotos (still not having the right history because the stuff between the Gods happened millenials ago, only some people from the Far shore know the truth) afraid of the increasing number of supernaturals, started to use humans sacrifices to appease the Far Shore. It didn't really work but they didn't stop. They only stopped once Yorimistu was here and started to give a real jobs to the Far Shore (they didn't have this reaincarnate job before him) Only two were able to stay in the far shore at this time, Sumire and Katakuri who were raised as sacrifices all their life. Their hatred of the Minamotos and the humans were what got the attention of Shinigami who offered them to stay as supernaturals to help him. Even if it had been centuries they are still really angry about their human situations :)) and will deifinitely use what they can to make the Minamotos pay for what they did.
Sakura is waiting for someone to take her place as the next princess to then become the queen. That's what the previous queen did with her. Normally the Lords know this because this procedure already happened, but they don't have the best memories having lived for millenials in the dark for some. Only some remember but they aren't the ones who will talk :)) (and I let you guess who she is really waiting for ahah)
And for Akane that's exactly as I said, He didn't get declared dead because he went missing :) He indeed took the attention of Mirai and Kako but when he was alive I let you guess what happened after (you can go check Part 1 if you want there is some info there eheh 👀👀)
Tumblr media
Kyo is sure that he will be able to feel other things than being just happy all the time if he finds the key of his lock. He learned that locks are meant to protect something so he wants to find the key (he is kinda simple minded ahah)
Hanako want the rest of the Lords to work together I am pretty sure you can understand what for with all the infos now 👀 The gates between the near and far shore are rarely opened for everyone (some supernaturals can go there but not that much, Mirai and Kako can, Tsuchi can too but never go and Yako too but she doesn’t care either. And they have tons of paperworks to fill and all/ they are considered the least dangerous of the Lords so that's why) but since the Minamotos will need to come to check some things, they will have to be opened at least twice :))
Here you go! I tried not to give all of it (honestly I did but shhht) I really hope you will still like it eheh Thanks a lot for your asks they really make me super super happy :DD
(ngl I think there is a lot of inconcistencies especially about who can go in the near shore and who can’t. It’s kinda like in the manga, some of them are sealed and others not x’) (let’s say that ahah) because I don’t have everything in my head so I will maybe come back to correct some stuff sometimes ahah x’) since I didn’t write anything before and the last time I worked on it was two years ago dhsj I will try my best though! but this is mostly for fun yay)

Bad Dog Bites and Original Bad Dog Bites!
oooooo baby okay okay SO STRAP IN FOR A LONG EXPLANATION HAHA I'll put it under a read-more bc I KINDA WENT BUCKWILD WITH THIS EXPLANATION I'M SORRY JUBES
:') I'M JUST EXCITED
To preface, I actually lied when I replied to your post first - in fact SIX of those fics are crossovers between the two Personas that I've played (4 and 5) lmfao and that includes both versions of BDB :)
Originally, the fic was supposed to take place immediately after Royal, and Akechi's alive and contacted by Sae bc my theory is that it was her officers that was escorting him back to somewhere when you catch a glimpse of him at the very end of the game through the train window. The idea was that, now that she's transitioning to being a defense lawyer, Sae's noticing a lot more of an uptick in corruption through the government, and especially noticing shit to do with the shadow world, whether that be Metaverse or otherwise. So she's bringing in the guy who's in hiding and who she can like use some leverage over (seeing as the Phantom Thieves are supposed to be disbanded now and they're going their separate ways so she can't just employ them for this) and who also has Persona powers, and ask him to help her deal with this. But she also knows that the shadow world is dangerous to deal with on its own... and I know that the government has records of Naoto having Persona powers (thank you beginning of P4 Arena lmfao - I haven't finished watching the playthrough that I found of that one tho bc I realised that P4A has so many spoilers for P3 and I don't want that yet soooo I'll just have to wait until after I play P3 to finish that vid haha), so to help him, she calls in the first Detective Prince.
The goofs and gaffs were gonna come from the fact that, if they met in canon (PQ2 doesn't count in this situation bc I haven't played it yet LMAO), they would immediately hate each other hsgfh and then they'd slowly grow to trust each other in combat, even if they do absolutely hate each other, and it would come to a head when they get surrounded, probably in the TV World bc they're gonna be bouncing back and forth between each other's worlds (and the P3 shadow world - Tartarus? - but I first gotta play that game first *squeezes my hands into fists* so) and are forced to perform a Showtime where, since both of them and their Personas can learn Megidolaon, they basically do this little theatrical show of 'hey I can do things better than you watch!' and then annihilate the surroundings and the shadows by using that move at once together. And then after that they would have to deal with the fact that hey, the other one actually is willing to work with me and keep the both of us from getting killed... huh....
I thought it was a cool idea, though like the majority of the plot is wholly obscured to me bc I didn't really have an end goal besides making Akechi eventually go back to Leblanc and see the P5 protag again, though maybe it could be something similar to P5 where they take down a major political figure? or like the lead scientist trying to use the shadows for their own evil will or something, and I also didn't have most of the middle stuff ready, just like key scenes that I'd dreamt up and stuff haha
But then the second version, which is the one just titled Bad Dog Bites now, has some different stuff going on - this time, it's 4 years after the end of P5, so Akechi's been in hiding for a while after having survived back then, and he's probably doing something but he's really secretive and on the dl about it. He doesn't want to be found by the authorities so he changes address and phone number constantly, I've written him relatively ooc rn but I'm working on fixing that lmfao, he's got some shit to deal with and he definitely doesn't want to be found by the former Phantom Thieves.
The idea is the fic opens up in Akechi's current apartment, and he's doing something at his desk that the audience isn't allowed to fully know about yet, when someone knocks on his door. He's obviously suspicious, and when he goes to peek through his peep hole and then after crack the door with the chain in, Naoto is there, and when he lets the original DP in, they explain to him (after some like banter, immediate hate bc they would hate each other hghs, and some coaxing of information) that they've been hired to help hunt him down (and though they don't say by who, Naoto was def hired by the P5 protag, but like 3-ish years ago, so instead of telling him that, Naoto tells him they were hired recently by Sae, bc that'll also technically be true).
Actually, I might add in, too, that the TV World fog was seeping into Akechi's apartment and that helped Naoto hunt him down? I think that could be interesting... and Akechi doesn't notice bc it's been a slow build, but something across Japan has been causing the walls of the TV World to thin (and maybe also the Metaverse and Tartarus bounds) and let them seep into the real world, which of course is a problem. This'll tie well into my plan for this fic too - the pair of Detective Princes get contracted to dive into the various shadow worlds at random by government agents so that scientists can test the reactions of Shadows and stuff, etc etc basically they gotta play along until they can target the head of this evil government snake organization and take it down together swiftly and effectively, giving info back to Sae for safekeeping and occasionally bumping into other major characters from the games. And at the end, they find where all three of these shadow worlds are converged and have to fight the big bad boss down there to separate Tartarus, the TV World, and the Metaverse again and also separate all three from the real world once more.
There'll be changing perspectives between Akechi's pov and Naoto's pov, changing probably either chapter to chapter or every other chapter, depending on the vibes haha, and in the end, when they do take down the big bad (both of the shadow worlds and the head organizer of this whole thing who's trying to control the shadow worlds), or maybe after, then Akechi is forced to realise that hey actually living in isolation like he had been sucks shit and makes plans to meet up with the p5 protag. Maybe he even does meet up with him, at the end of the fic, I haven't decided yet haha
I'll still be keeping the Showtime idea that I had bc ngl that scene drove a lot of my want to write this fic in the first place, though I still gotta finagle a way of making it written out as cool as it was in my head without being either over- or under-explained and flashy, idk haha, but beyond that and Naoto and Akechi forced to work together their plots were gonna be actually really different. Plus, I figured I could maybe do more with their characters, because for Akechi it's 4 years later so he's like 20-21, but for Naoto, it's been a Hot Minute since they've had to go about doing shadow world stuff I think (though maybe I'm wrong and they've been doing shadow world stuff this whole time! idk), so they're now 24-25 and Working Through It haha
Anyways! That's the whole idea 🫠 I know this was a really long reply but I just,,, I've been thinking about this fic a whole bunch haha
There's still some things I gotta tweak out still, and I gotta actually write the damned thing too, but! There ya go haha

Thelreads, MHA 255, Replies Part 2
1)“Now it`s not the time, he`s back but we don`t know for how long, we have to make sure we get all info we can out of him. “-Phelps is already on that, making sure that Kumo knows what he needs to spend the few seconds of control he’s managed to win from his ‘other self’ count for.
2) “OH GOD HERE WE GO, HE`S FIGHTING SO HARD AGAINST IT, AGAINST THE CONTROL THAT WAS DRILLED ON HIS BRAIN- OH GOD I JUST HOPE THIS IS NOT TOO MUCH FOR HIM TO HANDLE, THOSE BEEPS ON THE MACHINE DON`T SEEM TO POINT AT A VERY HEALTHY SITUATION ON HIS BRAIN.”- I like that, even as blurred-out and difficult to make out as his facial expression is underneath the fog, Horikoshi managed to draw enough details that you can see his eyes rolling back into his head from the mental effort he’s exerting to remain in control long enough to order his twisted thoughts enough to identify the most crucial piece of information he can pass along in the short while he’s got before he’s gone again. 3) “DON`T WORRY OL` BUDDY, I`LL BE GOING TO A HOSPITAL AFTER THIS BECAUSE I MIGHT END UP PASSING OUT CONSIDERING HOW MUCH THIS CHAPTER IS MAKING MY HEART GO BANANAS”- ‘Hospital’ as in, the kind of location you’d expect somebody with the kind of extensive medical training necessary to make the Nomu, where they could use their skills on ordinary patients and hide the need to procure advanced technology to perfect their biological remodelling- the same sort of biological remodelling that Tomura’s currently undergoing. Kumo didn’t have a lot of time, but he did manage to give them a clue towards the supporter running AFO’s ‘game’ and supporting Tomura from the shadows whilst the big man himself is on Hiatus in Tartarus. 4) “OH FUCK OH NO I THINK HE`S TRYING TO ESCAPE
EITHER THE PHYSICAL JAIL OR THE JAIL THAT IS HIS BODY, AND EITHER OF THEM CAN END TERRIBLY”- Sadly, there will be not mental jailbreak today- only heartbreak on all sides of the glass wall. 5) So, this is basically Shirakumo’s whole existence right now, as dictated by Horikoshi.
Tumblr media
6) “But it seems like not only there really is the old Shirakumo down there somewhere, he`s now awake from his slumber, and he`ll definitely try to claw his way out… eventually. And he`ll have to do it on his own, Aizawa won`t be able to be here to help him again.”- He can offer him moral support all the way which… is both the most useful, and what he feels would be the most useless thing he could do to help his friend right now.
7) “They didn`t do “great” Phelps, they did “fucking amazing and they shouldn`t have to go through something so fucked up as that ever again”, alright? There`s a bit of a difference there”- Sadly, now they know Kumo’s in there, they’re gonna regularly repeat this process every chance they get until they can extradite their old pal from AFO’s brainwashing, no matter how much it hurts.
8) “It`s alright Aizawa, I`m pretty sure they have been dried for a long time now, right? Over a decade at least… You can let your heart solve that problem right now, alright? Feel free to put everything out.”- I can’t help but wonder how manytherapy sessions this trio are going to need individually before any of them are even close to Ok anymore… and which one will take the most out of the three to be alright again.
9) “Yeah Aizawa, the last thing he remember is being crushed by a rock, I would be surprised if his last thoughts before the lights went out weren`t of wanting to go to an hospital, alright?”- Not quite…. Kumo’s last thoughts would likely have been ‘Is Shoto and the kids alright?’ even as the rubble smashed his skull, so saying something like that is as close to a specific clue he could give towards pointing out the hidden variable supporting the Villains and Tomura in AFO’s absence. No-one knows about Ujiko’s existence at all, and he’s gone out of his way to keep it like that to maximise his advantage, but now, at last, the heroes finally have a hint towards causing some major upset to AFO’s ongoing plans…assuming they can find him fast enough (looks worriedly at the calendar)
10) “That`s actually a good question, because although it might be extremely hard, he has shown that there`s a chance of bringing him back, at least some of him that is. But that will mean that Aizawa will need to be here again for it… He`ll have to go through this hell again and again…”- Honestly, given his somewhat self-destructive tendencies after Kumo’s passing, I think Aizawa will be fine with volunteering for further sessions like this. At least this way he feels like he’s doing something to save his old friend at last, no matter how long it takes, or how painful it is. 11) “And alas, it`s time for the potato bastard to give his diabolical little monologue on how he`s god and blah blah blah”-It’s continually impressive how every word out of his mouth manages to be worse than the last, and increases the desire to reach through the screen and finish what All Might tried to do with his bare hands. You’ve think there’d be a bottom to the depths he could sink to, and he’s laughing in your face for believing that the darkness he embodies even has an end to it. 12) “yeah yeah fuck you as well, I knew you`d gonna say something despicable and even so I had hopes that there was going to be some new info. How silly was I, once again grasping at megalomaniac straws.”- Like a certain villain from a Bird-themed Disney show, AFO is really good at tricking you into believing there’s a nuance to his evil, that he has sympathetic views or intentions that he embraces the act of evil to achieve an overall benevolent goal for others… and then it turns out, nope, he’s just decided to stick to a certain viewpoint –that being evil is awesome- and will lie, cheat, manipulate, kill or corrupt anybody that disagrees with his views, looking down on them all the while for being ‘crazy’ enough to embrace the opposing views –that there is inherent goodness and morality in the world worth putting yourself on the line for- and firmly believing he’s in the ‘right’ despite everybody who meets him being able to tell that he’s both dangerously wrong and completely off his rocker, despite his vast intelligence. I like that this shot showcases his full face in an almost human look, because for once you can see that that used to be a human being underneath all the scarring, but at the same time that emphasises his absolute monstrous inhumanity laid bare to see – that there is something severely warped behind his eyes that has nothing to do with his backstory or personality, but instead is the product of a psyche that is distinctly ‘other’ from the rest of the world, despite being able to mimic the traits of humanity in those around them. AFO simply doesn’t bother putting on a pretence because of the type of character he’s chosen to embody heart and soul- or what passes for his soul anyway. 13) “I like to imagine that the last page was actually GT having a flashback of AfO going “tehehee I`m just a fucked up little dude doing fucked up little things, what`s wrong with that? (:” and then going back to Aizawa and saying “fuck if I know””- Well, he really doesn’t know. He can’t. Like AFO said to All Might, his motivations and reasons are so alien and incomprehensible to others because of their inherent morality and decency that nobody can understand the way he thinks even when he lays it all out in plain English. He can’t think like him, because he’s still got hold of his humanity 14) “Alright, time to give the people higher up the hierarchy the info. It isn`t much, but it greatly reduces the search. Before that, every single hole or ditch was a potential place for them to be hiding in, but now they know that it is specifically a hospital where the Nomus are coming from, that will be of great help.”-  Not just any hospital. The kind of cutting-edge tech needed to push the boundaries of science and morality to make these abominations, even in secret, can’t simply be entirely obscured by the paperwork. With enough digging, they should be able to identify any suspicious deliveries or mysterious trails of missing lab equipment mid-transit and start to identify a pattern that will lead them towards the doctor behind the curtain. 15) “And soon after, their agent is already knowing where he has to look. Now Hawks has a new objective: comb through every single hospital in the country where people died in to find out where the Nomus are coming from.”- Actually, since Hawks is still under strict camera surveillance 24/7, he can’t do the snooping. That’s more likely a coded messaged letting him know where the heroes are turning their attention to next, so he’s kept ‘in the loop’ for when they’re ready to spring a simultaneous pincer movement from without and within the PLF at once. 16) “Hawks: At last… All according to Keikaku
Twice: what was that?
Hawks: Oh, keikaku means “plan”
Twice: Ah, thanks chief”-
Twice: I keep getting that mixed up with Cake! You ever eat cloned cake? Not as appetising as you would believe. 17) “OH JESUS FUCK MAN
OH GOD THAT`S FUCKING TERRIFYING WHY IS HE DOIN G THAT JESUS
OH I DIDN`T NEED TO SEE THAT, ABSOLUTELY DIDN`T”-
I think it’s safe to say that at least one of the powers Tomura’s getting is Hyper Regeneration, because Jesus fuck is his body hanging together by a literal thread there! He’s falling to pieces and getting pulled back together and the most twisted thing is, his minds so warped by everything he’s gone through that he can’t help by laugh himself silly at the excruciating agony, his laugher replacing his tears and screams of pain, because they never did anything to help him in his childhood, so now he cannot do anything but laugh in the face of his torment, eagerly looking forward to returning it all back upon the world, so he’s holding himself together almost literally by force of will until that day comes. Boy’s willpower is what this treatment is hinging upon, and it’s more than sufficient to the task, which bodes ill for everybody…
19) “Goddamn this chapter fucked me up. I loved it. They showed that Cloudy McButtnaked, our beloved discount son goku, is still there in some way, and there might be a chance to bring him back eventually. maybe. They won`t be able to revert what has been done to his body, we`ve seen the same with the proto-nomus back on Vigilantes, but maybe like them, he can live a normal, happy life eventually.”- He might even learn to like his new warping powers for teaching kids. They are ultra-useful, despite how they came about, so being able to use them to help others would give Kumo some comfort from his past trauma.

Chapter 10 -  I Ruin a Perfectly Good Bus
Theme of the day: Foresight
Foresight can basically have two meanings: prudence or provision for the future, and being able to see the future. There was a bit of both in this chapter!
We get a look into what the trio packs for their quest, including items that Chiron/CHB provides. They get useful provisions like ambrosia and nectar for wounds, mortal cash and drachmas for all their regular and godly transactions. Percy has very few possessions with him at the camp, as was already mentioned when he moved to cabin 3, so he just has basic essentials. Annabeth has a cool hat and a wicked dagger, but also a book bc a girl’s gotta stay entertained somehow while stuck traveling with two boys across the country lol. Grover has his items to disguise himself as human, a reed pipe for his goat magic except he only knows two (2) songs, and lots of snacks for the long roadtrip. Although most of all this gets destroyed at the end of the chapter sjdkfhs. But just when you think Percy is going out their weaponless, he receives good old Riptide! Whoever enchanted her must’ve been like there’s a kid who’ll use this in the future who can’t keep pens on him for the life of him and they’re probably the realist person in this series. Did Percy a solid lol.
The Hermes shoes Luke gives to Percy, at face value, is foresight on Luke’s part. Seemingly, he wants them to help Percy in someway on his quest. I completely forgot about the shoes tbh, but they’re an important part of the plot later on lol, and a clue to who the traitor is. Because they’re programed to drag the wearer into Tartarus when they enter the underworld and deliver certain godly attributes to a certain Titan. So ig the shoes are Luke’s foresight, just not in the way we might initially expect. Although he definitely didn’t have the foresight that Percy wouldn’t be the one wearing the shoes lmao. Should’ve thought about how a son of Poseidon can’t take to the skies! I wonder if Luke’s awkwardness in wishing Percy good luck was bc he knew that he shouldn’t care, but did anyway. I’m not a Luke apologist in anyway, but he’s such a complicated character that he’s fascinating to analyze lol. And the way Percy admires him!! It’s so cute. Makes the betrayal so much more tragic ;A;
There’s lots of foreshadowing this chapter. Besides the shoes, Kronos is mentioned, Medusa is indirectly referenced, the hints with the Furies saying where is it, and Prometheus is also mentioned although he’s not officially introduced until book 5. I’ll even include the tourist that takes a picture of crazed Percy fleeing the bus in the list too lol. There might be others I missed.
Backtracking a little, I know Grover meant well when talking about Sally, but I wouldn’t tell someone that they should be grateful when a decision or action results in abuse in some way. Like yes, Sally having the foresight in keeping Percy around someone that could mask his demigod smell was a good thing in the long run, but they both suffered from it. I don’t blame Sally at all, because all she wanted was for her son to survive. And who knows what she herself had to deal with when Percy wasn’t around. Maybe he was around for the worse parts and it’s just not narrated. Maybe it wasn’t the best decision per se, but the other options were either Percy dying or Percy growing up without a father and a mother, so 🤷🏾‍♀️ Can you imagine how he would’ve felt if Sally just left him at camp as a small child. Like they still could’ve kept in contact but Percy probably wouldn’t feel good about it. We might’ve gotten a different story if that was the turn of events. There would be no blue in Percy’s life! Like.... what would Percy be without his obsession for the color blue??
Anywho, it’s late and I’m ranting 😂 I’ll end it with a pondering over what exactly Chiron heard in these prophecies he keeps mentioning 🤨
Small things:
I’ll never get over when we found out Riptide is a girl and the Sword of Summer proceeded to flirt with her lolol
I can’t tell whether Argus is winking at Percy for his pizza joke or charmed by the preteen flirting lol. The very first Percabeth shipper xD
Have I mentioned I love their banter lol
Once more, we get a glimpse into Percy’s extreme loyalty. He can never leave a friend behind 🥺
I had a realization that Hilary Duff’s So Yesterday” only came out a few years before TLT did and I don’t think I fully comprehended how old this book is until now sjdfhskjdf

I'm having a bad case of writer's block which means that my project on analyzing what kind of characters some of the more important mythological figures could be if introduced to Kid Icarus is currently on halt - but while waiting for the block to end, I thought it would be funny to post some of the more ridiculous notes and stuff I've written:
A child plot device who could easily be removed from the story and nothing of value would be lost VS Aphrodite's stolen mirror VS Palutena's polished bronze shield
Values dissonance is one hell of a drug and past is another country, to put it simply
I ranted because Divinepedia doesn't know what an Aegis is
I ranted over syncretism because it made things so unnecessary hard
I ranted over the word demigod because the definition of it isn't consistent
"There are many things that can be deciphered by using zodiac weapons and powers..."
I noted that stuff like venatio, gladiator fights and damnatio ad bestias are probably things in this universe, which is funny in a morbid kind of way - Magnus and Gaol would probably participate in those while Pit has a heart attack in the background
Purely educational Achilles-bashing
Purely educational Odysseus-bashing
Purely educational Athena-bashing in regards of her actions during the Trojan war
"There's no way to be optimistic about that!"
Some talk about Epimenides paradox, Cretan claims about a tomb of Zeus and angry mainlanders
A note about how Arcadia is a weird, weird place
"Moral of the story - don’t mess with Demeter"
More Achilles-bashing
A bad joke of Tartarus being more fertile place than Hades because Tartarus has five kids with two different goddesses
"And then there's Ocnus. No one knows why he's in Tartarus"
Even more Achilles-bashing
"Charon, Minos, Rhadamanthus, Aeacus, Hypnos, Hecate and others must've went on a strike because where else could they be if they're not in home"
I brought up the fact that Hypnos is married shortly after talking about Sisyphus just because I wanted to make fun of Thanatos
Talking of the possibility of Palutena being in Clotho-imposed celibacy
Daily reminder that in Greco-Roman mythology Pegasus isn't a species but a proper noun
"This story is so overblown it hurts!"
Daily reminder that gods don't have blood but ichor
"Aphrodite isn't allowed to have things in this franchise and she hasn't even been formally introduced!"
Life and times of Vestal virgins because when mythology doesn't have anything to offer then history must have
Hermes and Peitho's combined mission - to scam you out of your money, either the good way or the bad way
Hey, remember that one time Artemis told a man to kill his daughter if he wanted to set the sails?
"I don’t really get this version, truth to be told"
Hey, remember those two times Apollo almost got himself thrown to Tartarus?
"Considering how about 6-12 year-olds Castor and Pollux led a siege against Athens, Parthenopaeus and Hippolytus both died presumably around the age of 15 or younger by rather violent means, Neoptolemus was already a war criminal when he was around 12 and his own young son was beheaded on his own altar with him being unable to do anything, I say Apollo’s doing a pretty bad job on that last one"
"This naturally displeased Hades, who firmly believed that what was dead should stay dead and he went to Zeus to complain about this. Zeus thought of the situation and then came to a realization that if Asclepius managed to teach this skill to other people, they’d have a massive problem on their hands and it can’t be allowed to happen. The logical course of action was to of course kill Asclepius"
"However, Laomedon was a textbook jackass"
"And that’s why it’s called the Milky Way. Gross"
"And because I’m writing this shortly after replaying Pokemon B/W, I must inform you all that Anthea (Blossom) is one of Hera’s epithets and European verbenas are also known as Juno’s tears"
Comparing Poseidon from mythology proper to his Mycenaean counterpart is just sad because my god, what else would you call that but serious nerfing
Big part of Poseidon's sector is just me saying that he's a bad dad and his kids come off either as complete idiots or degenerates
Some more Laomedon-bashing because what the heck was he thinking when he threatened Poseidon and Apollo
Athenian Ego™
"So Atlantis is pretty much an antithesis of a perfect society, a concept that’s discussed more in Republic and the lesson here is that being consumed by hubris in the search of luxury only leads to ruin - not that we care about that"
The urge to write bad joke about Byleth being dollar-store Dionysus rises
"So yeah, Bacchus and Proserpina were originally a thing and it changed because of Greek influence. Prior to their identification with Dionysus and Persephone, neither of them had any connections to Underworld"
"Pre-Socratic philosopher Heraclitus even declared that when it came to their essence, Dionysus and Hades were the same god"
"Practically the only reason why I remember Dionysus even has children is because of all the bad humor that comes with the possibility of him being Deianira’s father"
"Baubo lifted her skirt up and revealed Iacchus, who ran into his mother’s arms. This made Demeter laugh, and so she accepted the food and drink that was given to her"
"Obviously he came to the city disguised as a mortal, brainwashed all the women and turned them into Maeneids, caused an earthquake, set a palace on fire, gleefully watched when his worshipers teared Thebes’ king to pieces and then gave an ominous warning to his maternal grandparents. It’s not quite an reset bomb, but the sheer amount of damage caused to Thebes is more than likely enough to make Viridi proud"
Because of plebeians were also called plebs, it means that Dionysus could easily say that plebs love him and that mental image gave me physic damage
Dionysus and Persephone would make a pretty great baddie duo now when I'm thinking of it
A note about how Persephone's different epithets might as well be different people
"Demeter sets a baby on fire which is supposed to make him immortal if you’re wondering"
"Which would make Ares Orpheus’ grandfather"
A surprisingly sweet tale about Ares and a baby
"What this means is that characters like Marth and Morgan at least in Japanese from Fire Emblem and Mario were named in honor of the same god Mark Anthony and Marcus Aurelius were, at least from a certain point of view"
The world is full of cheeky astronomers because there's multiple places on planet Mars named after Elysium and only on Mars
"Because just what kind of self-respecting enemy would take you seriously if you have a face of an angel?"
"I guess there’s just something hilarious about how this ancient Greek god shares a trait with Meta Knight of all characters"
I talk of the possibility of Ares' being Pit's dad. I really like it and need someone to geek more about because my goodness, so much potential! And none of it features Ares a villain because I'm not in the mood for character assassination! Some stuff does have him as more antagonistic, but still! I want to gush about dad!
The mental image of Phobos, Deimos and Nike looking at Pit and telling him to come back once he has fought Typhon because according to Dionysiaca, these three along with Zeus, Ares and Enyo did indeed fight against Typhon
"Well, true name of the morning star is Venus but she’s Aphrodite’s Roman equivalent"
"Naturally all of this was used by people as a way to climb up the political ladder, as Julio-Claudian dynasty claimed to descend from her through Aeneas. You can even trace the ancestry of multiple pseudo-historical European figures all the way back to Aphrodite! Some notable examples of this include Blaiddyd, Leir of Britain, Goneril, Regan and Cordelia of Britain, who’re all described in Historia Regum Britanniae as descendants of Aeneas. Then there’s sources such as Cypria saying that Helen is Nemesis’ daughter with Zeus… So in a a quest to return Nemesis’ daughter back home, there was a massacre and Blaiddyd, Goneril, Regan and Cordelia’s ancestors, who’re descendants of a goddess by the way, were survivors of said massacre… This is why research matters, folks. Damn you Fire Emblem"
"Just like being loved by Apollo gives you huge death flags, being hated by Aphrodite will always make you suffer in one way or another"
Overly detailed exposition of that one time Aphrodite tried to kill a pregnant woman
It's hard to write about Aeneid while resisting the urge to put a DMC-joke there somewhere
"I personally prefer the name Volupta, it rhymes much more nicer with rest of the family"
"“The world’s going to end and I’m going to stop it because live on it” isn’t what I’d consider personal reason"

Odysseus smiled at the young woman’s words, nodding. “That is fair.  I suppose strange is something of our normal. But I’m definitely one of those who died and then came back. I was killed fighting some of my siblings, trying to stop them from attacking the gods.”   He frowned as she spoke again, expecting the demigods after he and Lucian to be warned off of attacking Olympus, guessing that his friend turned foe hadn’t been able to succeed since there were other demigods after them. “I’m sorry to hear that.  I’d hoped…I’d hoped Lucian’s rebellion would be the last for a long time.  Though it sounds as if your cousin made it farther than our revolution did…Lucian certainly didn’t have Kronos assistance.”  Odysseus would have to think on that being a cycle, though Annabeth’s thoughts about her quest showed another difference in their opinion of their mother.  “I..I am sorry you fell into Tartarus.  That’s, honestly impressive.  You survived Tartarus? While it didn’t end as smoothly as one would hope, I dreamed of being chosen by our mother for something like that.  Would’ve done anything. So I do see it as an honor.”
Tumblr media
With a nod of her head, she smiles over at the other, lightly shrugging her shoulders. "I know for a fact that I'd be more worried if things were normal, which whilst I know that is something my boyfriend would want, I still struggle a bit to see a life that calm, but that isn't to say that I don't want it as much as him of course, I'm just used to the chaos, growing up at camp and all." She admits with a small laugh, though her expression visibly falters as they fall back into the conversation about demigods versus gods. "It's not your doing, and I can't say I've heard of a Lucian, but my cousin, Luke had help from Kronos and a number of demigods that were against the gods as well, so, it was...something to say the least, and to make matters worse, there's another war going on right now, a gang war with Luke and Persephone at each other's throats. Basically, I got stabbed again, first happened during that first war, and this time, it ultimately helped Luke get his memories back, he killed one of Persephone's men and it's been chaos since, I'm fine by the way." She quickly explains with a wave of her hand. "Only a child of Athena would find falling into Tartarus impressive." Annabeth teases with a shake of her head, knowing she isn't correct. "I did, we did, Percy and I, if it had just been me, I probably wouldn't have survived the actual fall, we fell into one of the rivers. We have our difference in opinions then, I suppose. When it all came down to everything that happened, I think I would do it all over again."

I got my nipples pierced and I have some ✨thoughts✨
Here's the list:
1. Of the 7 piercings I now have, they were the most painful. First half of the needle going through is fine, second half is a purple nurple from Tartarus.
2. They were immediately the most aesthetically pleasing piercings I've gotten. Like, my Medusa looked funky at first due to the extra-long starting bar, my nostril was super red, and my conch was actually pretty decent albeit small, but my nipples looked like a million dollars out the gate 😍
3. They feel fine very quickly. It wasn't immediate for me like it is for some people, though; my nipples felt like they had been rubbed raw with sandpaper for about an hour or so but the pain subsided fairly quickly after that and I was able to sleep fine.
4. I'm already pretty sure I'm going to have more healing issues with my right piercing than my left. It has more blood around it and it also hurt more post-piercing.
5. I am now completely irresistible to my husband 😎
6. If I lose these piercings for some reason, I don't think I'll get them redone. I think the pain is worth it at least the one time, and maybe I'll feel different later on if something does happen. But for now it's definitely not something I need to experience ever again 🤣
7. On the plus side, every other piercing I get will probably feel like a piece of cake. I'm only planning on other ear piercings now so if I get my industrial done that might compare pain wise, but everything else should be more like my nostril or my conch. A pinch and then it's done, with some soreness for a couple of days.
8. I am well-endowed, so I'm worried about embedment more than anything else. Just gonna have to keep an eye on it 🤷🏼‍♀️
9. These were the piercings my ex-husband said would make him not want to touch me anymore. Now I'm entirely repulsive to him and I couldn't be happier. I've wanted these for almost a decade now, and I'm so glad I'm with a partner who not only encourages me to be myself, but genuinely enjoys and is only ever more attracted to me whenever I take steps towards being the person I want to be and present to the world. ❤️ I think these piercings were a major step in my healing process and will give me the confidence boost I've been needing
10. I feel like I have to have a 10 just to even things out. 😝 My 10th and final thought is that a year is sooooooooooo long to wait to change out the jewelry 😭 but my 2025 will probably start out with new bling so that's something to look forward to!
If you're thinking about getting nipple piercings and you're reading this, it's really not as bad as you think it'll be. ☺️ It hurts, like all piercings do, but if you go to a reputable piercer it will only really hurt for a combined total of, like, 5 seconds. The soreness after sucks but you can take Tylenol or Aleve and put cold compresses on your piercings and it's no worse than a mild scrape or cut. I thought it was very much worth it, and I'm excited for how it heals over the year! Starting 2024 out bravely 🥰

Iapetus 30 day HCs
Hi its tumblr noob anon with *gasp* EARLY 30 DAY HCs on iapetus?? Wow what is this character development anyway im free now so i'll do iapetus's HCs early. You're welcome iapetus
- i think iapetus would have short golden blonde hair, but styled in a short(?) and not so spiky mohawk LOLOL. I'm really influenced by vans' iapetus and general titan HCs (omg legit man vans ur titan hcs are *chef's kiss* legit they give me so much serotonin <3 <3 <3) so i think this would fit iapetus's street smart and prankster personality. I think he would be around average height and his eyes would be either blue or golden
- iapetus and cronus were the terror twins and always gave oceanus a hard time, but i HC that iapetus was the chief troublemaker of the two. Cronus mostly preferred to plan pranks and be less of the centre of attention than iapetus, while iapetus was always his executioner or right hand man, which fits nicely with his epithet "the piercer". Also sometimes rhea would join in too. I also HC that iapetus really likes rap and hip hop (or whatever equivalent they had back in the day) and would have solo rap performances (sometimes with rhea beatboxing) whether his family liked it or not. I really like this rockstar HC i have of iapetus LOL it really fits with his epithet "the piercer" lol u go iapetus u punk rockstar. Anyway another thing "the piercer" reminds me of is prozd's archibald skit where he's like "i think the enemy got THE POINT" while thrusting his spear at the enemy its really funny guys y'all should check it out
- iapetus's defining characteristic is his loyalty. He's like a highly ranked and beloved gang member (lol), utterly devoted to his baby brother cronus and his cause (although he treats cronus like a big brother LOL). He's cronus's right hand man and will always be by his side and stick by him no matter what. Iapetus also was not ambitious at all, and was content to stay at his brother's side, working for and with him. It brought him the most happiness and contentment. I think out of all of the titans, he was the one who truly believed in the concept of a family the most. Although he sometimes didn't get along with some of his family members such as themis and mnemosyne, he truly believed that families should stick together through thick and thin and support each other no matter what. To him, betrayal was the worst crime anyone could commit.
- iapetus's wife is asia/clymene, an oceanid. I think bcos he's so family-oriented, he couldnt see his siblings as anything other than his brothers and sisters so he had to marry someone outside of his family LOL. Anyway I HC that maybe one day iapetus was hanging by some river or lake or something or swimming in the water and clymene was like what are u doing here this is my home get ur dirty ass out of my house (get out of my swamp LOLOLOL) and then iapetus starting rapping and singing and it really charmed clymene LOL and so they got together. Good for clymene tho bcos i think out of all the (male) titans, iapetus would probably be the best father out of the lot
- regarding his kids, iapetus and clymene loved all of them dearly. Iapetus would definitely instill them to be loyal, especially to their friends and family, while also teaching them street smarts and craftiness to get out of tight spots. Clymene, however, would teach them to be their own person and instead of blindly following someone, they should be able to decide things for themselves and choose who or what cause they wanted to follow or devote themselves to or not at all.
- now we get to the depressing part... the titanomachy. Of course iapetus supports cronus with all his heart and strength and might. He's his brother, he's family, and most of all, he's his best friend. Iapetus probably doesn't agree with cronus's methods of devouring his children, especially now that he has his own kids, he can't imagine doing that to his own children, but he can definitely respect, admire and feel immense gratitude to cronus for the sacrifices that he made for them, the titans. Cronus had always been a natural born leader, and iapetus could not help but feel an immense respect, love and adoration for him, bcos although he did horrible things, he did those terrible things for them. This is why iapetus chooses to fight for, with and alongside cronus even until the end, and even though they would eventually lose and get thrown into tartarus, he would always do it again and again for his family and for his brother. (this is like achilles and patrocles but without the homoerotic subtext. Move aside homoerotic achillesXpatrocles, purely philia and storge iapetus+cronus coming through. LOLOL but honestly we need more purely intensely intimate platonic or familial relationships in media)
- although some of iapetus's children (atlas and menoetius) fought for cronus with him, his other children (prometheus and epimetheus) would instead fight for zeus. Iapetus would have felt incredibly hurt and betrayed by prometheus and epimetheus, especially prometheus as they both share the same craftiness and iapetus knows that prometheus would have planned this betrayal for a long time. Iapetus would have been so taken aback and horrified. How could his children, whom he has loved and cherished and taught all he knew, turn his backs on him and their family? How could they be disloyal? I think the disappointment, grief, shock and anger would have torn iapetus apart. He would have probably expelled prometheus and epimetheus violently, and would have very nearly disowned them (thankfully he just stopped short of disowning them though, but in that moment, his entire world came crashing down in a shower of rage, betrayal, pain and despair)
- the truth was that prometheus was actually the best blend of his parents. He inherited iapetus's loyalty, cunning and craftiness, but he also took clymene's teachings to think for himself to heart. In the end, prometheus became a noble trickster who was loyal to his own cause, similar to hermes (which is why he becomes so big of a threat to zeus later when he acts on his own accord and defies zeus by stealing fire) (by the way, i'm not sure if clymene supported cronus or zeus, but i think she would have mostly remained neutral, and mostly just tried to reduce the punishments for her children and husband (although that didnt really work too well, but atlas got to hold up the celestial sphere, so maybe that's better than being thrown into tartarus for all eternity)
- anyway, after reflecting in tartarus for some time, iapetus would eventually forgive prometheus and epimetheus. He would come to realise that although he himself would forever be loyal to cronus no matter what, you cannot force loyalty and he cannot make his children devote themselves to cronus's cause. He understands that just as iapetus feels so much love and loyalty to cronus and always consciously chose to follow him (iapetus never blindly followed cronus, he always made his own decisions and always chose cronus), his children would find their own things that they would love and devote themselves to and be loyal towards. He cannot force his children to be devoted towards the same things that he is. In this way, iapetus comes to forgive his children.
- overall, i think iapetus emerges from the tragedy that is the titanomachy with his personality traits largely unchanged, but more mellowed and with a greater understanding and acceptance of his children.
- (i'm mostly done, but i have this one HC that i think would be cool) I HC that iapetus, being his charming self, would play with cerberus and be kind to him, eventually winning cerberus's trust. This would lead to iapetus eventually winning over hades's favour, leading to iapetus being able to secure monthly(?) visits from his wife and unpunished children (and maybe even the other titans who went free). I think that iapetus made up with prometheus and epimetheus before prometheus got punished by zeus (big L). When iapetus got wind of his son's cruel punishment, he raged and campaigned so hard for his son's freedom to hades that hades told zeus, who eventually gave heracles permission to set him free during his 12 labours.
WOW IM ACTUALLY DONE NOW. i think that iapetus has really become my favourite (male) titan, together with mnemosyne (whom i developed some interesting HCs for last night. Lets hope i will remember them by the time mnemosyne's 30 day HCs roll around). Honestly i really feel that iapetus is really an all-around great guy. If only cronus hadnt wrecked all of that (goddammit cronus u really either die a hero, or u live long enough to see urself become the villain). But ultimately, cronus and iapetus are really blessed to have each other for company in tartarus, especially cronus. U really don't deserve iapetus man

Chapter 6 Thoughts
This recent story update has left us with a lot to think about, and I am here to blurt out my thoughts and theories before most of them get disproved come late March.
Contents:
Who will overblot this chapter?
What is the meaning of the “Nice to meet you” at the end of the latest update?
What’s up with Grim?
----------
So, the first big mystery on my mind is the boss fight for this chapter.
My first theory is already explained in this post, so I won’t repeat it all. The gist of it is that Ortho will overblot due the influence of the voice he heard from Tartarus. If we assume that one of the Shroud bros will overblot, for Idia to overblot his curse would have to be broken + something worthy of an overblot would have to happen, so Ortho seems like the more likely option.
However, I don’t think we should assume that the boss fight will be against one of them. Given this chapter’s explosive beginning, all the new info/lore we’ve gotten, and all that stuff going on with Ortho, it feels like we’re entering the end game here. I think it’s definitely possible that the pattern with the overblots will be broken this chapter, especially since also we haven’t had any ink blot cut scenes happens.
Therefore, my next theory, one that I’ve had since this chapter was released, is that the tutorial battle against the big Grim monster actually takes place at the end of chapter 6. I originally theorized that Grim would be made to overblot as part of a STYX experiment, but now that we know that STYX is alright and Grim is actually affected by some ancient magic, my theory has changed. The 2 possibilities I now believe in are:
Grim’s current condition is already unstable and it’s only a matter of time before he overblots
The voice from Tartarus will push Grim over the edge as a part of their plans
If I remember correctly, Grim’s overblot form did have hints of dragon in it, so it’s likely that he’ll only overblot at the end of or after chapter 7, but it would be interesting if he overblotted before then.
Anyway, my final theory on this topic is that the boss fight for this chapter won’t be against a character we’ve already grown to know, but rather against the voice from Tartarus and their “friends”. This is kinda just a derivative of my first theory about Ortho, since there I thought that overblot Ortho would be caused and controlled by the voice. The difference here is that I think there’s a possibility that the group will have the opportunity to stop Ortho from helping the voice, so Ortho will rejoin our side and help us fight the voice. In that case, we would just fight the voice.
----------
That’s my thoughts so far on the overblot, so next up I wanna talk about this specific moment.
Tumblr media
Nice to meet you, Ortho (me).
The obvious thing to be concerned about is the implication that the voice is the actual Ortho who died years ago, and our Ortho is a robotic recreation of him, so that’s why they’re greeting each other as “me”.
The thing I’m concerned about though, is that this looks very similar to the voiceline screen thing that shows up when you pull a new SSR. For reference, here’s the one for dorm Idia.
Tumblr media
After comparing the animations for a bit, I think that the exact same smoke effect is used for both.
Assuming that this parallel was deliberately drawn, the reason I can think of for it is that the voice is being introduced as a new character. Not just a side character like Neige or Najma, but a character that we can pull from the gacha.
If we combine with this the theory that the voice is the actual Ortho, a relevant detail here is how our Ortho’s cards are named: Archetype Gear instead of School Uniform, Burst Gear instead of Ceremony Robes, Ignihyde Gear instead of Dorm Uniform, etc. It’s highly possible the differing names are just because these are literally different bodies that Ortho can use so they can’t call them clothes. However, it still creates a clear distinction between him and the rest of the main characters, perhaps hinting that he doesn’t belong. Furthermore, if the actual Ortho is indeed given cards, this naming scheme means that the card names of Dorm Uniform Ortho and such are free for him to take.
The problem with this theory is that so far, the voice / actual Ortho seems to be an antagonistic character. Furthermore, I don’t think he’s really mortal or a human anymore, and I don’t think NRC would accept some eldritch horror as a student. So, like with any other theory, we just have to wait and see what happens.
----------
Next up, Grim.
To summarize the info we have: he has a incredible capacity to endure blot, his levels of blot keep fluctuating wildly, STYX is unable to treat his blot, and there’s complex magic affecting him that is hundreds of years old and that STYX’s super computer can’t figure out.
From way before this chapter, we also know that Grim doesn’t remember his past and that he is strongly driven to attend NRC and become a great magician.
To me, it seems like his blot tolerance and his goal of becoming a powerful magician are connected. To utilize a strong tolerance for blot, you need to accumulate blot, and casting a ton of magic seems like the most well known path to achieving that. Therefore, assuming the blot tolerance is a deliberate effect of the magic cast on him, perhaps Grim’s ambition was implanted in him by whoever cast the magic. Now, who caused Grim to be like this?
There is a possibility it was Grim himself, but personally I can’t see him as the sort of wise, scheming character that he would have to be pre-amnesia to do that. The next possibility is Crowley, but he seemed too clueless and willing to throw Grim out of NRC for this to be his doing. The already introduced character that I think is most likely to be behind this is Ambrose. There’s a lot of mystery behind him and he seems like he’ll have a bigger role in the plot in the future. However, him being involved like this still seems too far fetched for me. Therefore, I think the most likely answer is that some not yet introduced character is who cast the magic on Grim. Unfortunately, I don’t think we have enough pieces of the puzzle to figure out what’s going on yet.
----------
Finally, I just wanna note that the scale of the plot is getting quite a lot bigger with stuff like the hundreds of years old curses and the Phantoms being able to end the world if they escaped Tartarus. I’m so excited to see where the story will take us, and also curious how they’ll accomplish this stuff given that this is a gacha game. Gonna have characters fighting for the fate of the world or whatever in the main story immediately followed up by an event where they just hang out at the beach or something lol
