STEVE & BUCKY'S LOVE STORY, UNABRIDGED SOMEWHAT ABRIDGED, part 3/4 (here are part 1 and part 2)

i just want to preface this by saying: as much as they tried to make this movie all about tony, and as much as they tried to no-homo the steve/bucky situation, they still somehow ended up making CACW the gayest movie in the whole cap trilogy, and that's saying something *throws confetti*

now, picking up where we left off:

aided by his friends sam and natasha, steve spends the following two years or so chasing after bucky, looking for clues as to where he could be hiding, until he eventually finds him.

their reunion scene is like. i honestly don't know if i can convey the sheer, ridiculous, absolute beauty that is this scene.

the thing is, steve isn't the only one who discovered bucky's location: the bad guys did too, and they're coming. like they're coming RIGHT NOW, as sam keeps trying to warn steve. which means that he and bucky have about 20 seconds to do this, and that might sound like too short of a time, right? but honey, the amount of repressed emotions and homoerotic subtext these two manage to stuff into those 20 seconds, my god--

no because like, there's a whole-ass SWAT team outside, waiting to crash through their door and blow up the place, yeah? and instead of getting the fuck out of there PRONTO, steve, mr romeo fucking rogers, decides to spend those precious few seconds trying to get bucky to admit that he loves him, making this much yearned-for, long-awaited reunion the most high-stakes game of gay chicken in the whole of history. you might think i'm kidding, but i'm not!!!!

INTRODUCING:

in the red corner, we've got steve basically telling bucky: "i know that you remember me, i know that you saved me because you still love me, please will you just say it out loud babe"

and in the blue corner there's bucky, extremely conflicted because YES, of course he loves steve, but he also knows he's putting steve in danger just by standing in the same room as him, and steve shouldn't even be here in the first place, and anyways STEVE NOW'S NOT THE TIME PLS FUCK

so he's just (unsuccessfully) trying to deny everything, you know?? "fuck no i don't know you, just know your name from a museum, what do you mEAN i saved your ass because i love you more than life itself and that's literally the first thing i remembered when i got my memory back"

but really, you'll see the love in bucky's eyes if you just look hard enough.

so here they are, just about to slam each other into the nearest wall and make out like it's brokeback mountain and they're just two guys coming from a time where their love had to be kept a secret and they miss what little privacy they used to have in their own little bubble when they were younger and living together and then life tore them apart and they haven't seen each other in ages and they've been yearning all the while and now that they're finally standing before each other again the air feels electric between them and they just can't help but- wait. uh. that, uh. that sounds familiar. uh.

OKAY so they're totally about to snog the living daylights out of each other, but time is running out. the bad guys are here!! and- and also a bunch of other people! because apparently everybody wants bucky either dead or locked up for one reason or another!! MY BOY CAN'T CATCH A FUCKING BREAK!!

so bucky is apprehended. but before anyone can do much about it, this other guy - this movie's Official Antagonist™ - gets bucky alone and triggers bucky's brainwashed assassin persona into taking over.

no longer conscious of his own actions, bucky wreaks havoc in the building, knocking people down in his wake like a sexy buff steamroller, and tries to escape; but steve, desperate not to lose him again, goes after him and stops him.

by grabbing onto a fucking helicopter, as one does

one extremely romantic, freaking insane stunt later, steve manages to get bucky to safety. next thing you know, bucky's waking up and back to himself, and they finally have a bit longer than 20 seconds to talk. you think they're gonna be normal about this? you think they're gonna share a standard heart to heart conversation? oh hell no, babes. WHIP OUT THE BEDROOM EYES, TURN THAT SOFTNESS UP TO ELEVEN, WE'RE UNLOCKING A BRAND NEW LEVEL OF EMOTIONS HERE

seriously. you don't know what true tenderness is, until you've heard james buchanan barnes softly say, in his sweet, gruff, velvety drawl, barely holding back a smile, "your mom's name was sarah. you used to wear newspapers in your shoes."

also the two of them just. spend half the scene making INTENSE heart eyes at each other, gazing deeply and intimately in each other's eyes, just bypassing the flirting zone to move straight to eye-lovemaking lane, while sam is in the room, because they've got no chill whatsoever.

unfortunately, sam cockblocks reminds them that they don't have time for this shit (dammit, sam) as they kinda have more pressing matters at hand, being on the run from like every government in the world (and then some). also they must neutralize The Antagonist™ before he can act on his Evil Plan™, so, you know. put the eyesex on hold, guys!

(please understand that I'm still learning how to write properly and that there are certain characters I can't write due to the struggle of trying to fit in their personality)

Itoshi Rin

Rin would be the type to spend his time with you at home

He likes to spend time with you indoors because at home he's able to just cuddle you there

After all he does hate pda but when it comes to you and him alone, he won't be afraid to shower you with affection

Spending time at home with you includes movie nights.

He mostly chooses what to watch

But even so there are times where he lets you choose

Rin chooses horror because he likes them

He also likes the way you would cling on to him whenever there's a jumpscare.

But from time to time he does also like to spend time with you outside

If he does bring you outside, he would probably bring you somewhere that just piqued his interest

One of those options is a library since he likes the calming atmosphere

Other than that, he would bring you to an aquarium or a museum

Even if Rin can't spend much time with you as much as you and him want to, he still makes the time to do so

Nagi Seishiro

Nagi is also the type to spend his moments with you indoors

He would often be playing games while you either play with him or cheer him on

I feel like the games nagi would play are like: Genshin Impact, Valorant and so on

He would invite you to play genshin if you do play genshin.

My baby would spoil you for example, he would buy you genesis crystal in genshin.

Although he isn't really using his money. (It's all Reo's since he managed to convince him)

And if you don't play any of the games he play it's fine

he really likes it when you do cheer him on and just stay by his side.

He also likes how you just play with his hair if he lays on your lap while playing

But if you two do go outside, there's only one place he would go with you..yep it's the arcade

Nagi honestly doesn't care how he spends his time with you because to him, as long as you're there by his side, then that's all that matters

Isagi Yoichi

Well Isagi also prefers to spend time with you indoors

Because even if he does show you alot of love in public, he can give you twice the amount of affection in private

But I feel like Isagi would love to stargaze with you well only if you want. If you don't then he'd gladly just love to cuddle with you

But if you do agree to the stargazing thing, I think he'd be so overjoyed

Another thing he would do is to wake you up for a morning jog

You don't really have to go if you don't want to

And if you don't go, sometimes he make an exception to just stay in bed with you a little longer

And last but not least he would really love to watch the sunrise or sunset with you sometimes

Isagi is also quite busy so sometimes you wont be able to spend much time with him

But even so, Isagi will cherish every single moment he spent with you

Saw this tag game on another post and thought I'd do it (idk if I've done it before, maybe something similar, but my answers will be different anyway)

1. Were you named after anyone?

Nope My chosen name (Allister) however, is from a youtuber who has a very cool name and I stole it (Alasdair Beckett-King, very funny videos and he has great hair too). I adapted it a bit so people in Spain would at least have an idea of how to pronounce it at first glance (hopefully) It has nothing to do with any Crowley (which I did not realize was a thing until recently), tho for a bit I named myself AJ like Good Omens Crowley, but I don't like how it sounds in Spanish...

2. When was the last time you cried?

Last month probably

3. Do you have kids?

No. And I don't want any. I don't dislike them, but it's not for me

4. What sports do you play/have you played?

Judo, karate and football (the indoors kind). All as a kid/teen. Now my brother and I walk every week day and go up and down stairs (when we remember...) One day I want to try to go to a gym to get some muscle, but not too much, just a bit of definition. Also, I'd enjoy doing rock climbing, but not competitive climbing or anything like that

5. Do you use sarcasm?

Sometimes

6. What's the first thing you notice about people?

Irl: the way they move their face and hands when they speak, which then I subconsciously use to recognize people, bc I'm a bit face blind Online: the way they choose to express themselves

7. What's your eye color?

Gray/light blue on the outside and artichoke green/lime on the inside

8. Scary movies or happy endings?

I like both, but I'd rather watch a happy ending. For scary things I prefer to watch Markiplier's scary games videos

9. Any talents?

I'm VERY good at jigsaw puzzles

10. Where were you born?

East of Spain, by some of the best Mediterranean coasts 😁. I enjoy it here, but one day I'd like to live in the UK, at least for a bit, I think I'd like it there

11. What are your hobbies?

Listening to music, singing, making art (crafting, building, drawing, painting, writing, ...), watching media (shows, panel shows, youtube, twitch), video games (rhythm/dancing, platformer, puzzle... Also minecraft, powerwash sim, potion craft...), going for walks, exercise, learning languages (especially English) If I had any good ones close, I'd go to theatres and museums too. And, if I had money, I'd travel. I'm also slowly learning about taking care of plants

12. Do you have any pets?

Not yet. I'd love to have dogs, cats, frogs, snakes... or anything really. I love animals. But I think cats and frogs would be the best fit for me, considering my personality and current lifestyle I've always wanted a dog, but I've only had a turtle and a hamster

13. How tall are you?

1.63m or 5’3”

14. Favorite subject in school?

Biology and technology

15. Dream job?

Anything that pays me enough to be independent and let me do all my hobbies Although, if I ever have the patience, base skill, and required mental fortitude, I'd go for general robotics and/or prop making (for film and/or theatre)

Christmas has passed again

The new year is approaching as well.

And..you’re not here.

The girls laugh and play with the toys I bestowed on them. They’re so happy and healthy. But I can’t find it in my strength to smile as much as they can.

They’re tucked away and asleep now.

I look outside the window where I can see the city scape.

The air is chilled as it blankets over the night like a shroud.

And all I want to think about is you.

You, oh infinite one.

The gifted six eyed child.

You are the strongest.

But do you feel strong right now?

Don’t you feel tired like how I am?

Do you feel the weight of our souls crushing?

Is my pain in correspondence to yours?

I try to look out for you anywhere where I think you might be there.

The first I think of is your hair. So many people had the idea to compare you to chilled snow. But I beg to differ. Bright, untamed, a beautiful white.

The kind of white that the sun reflects on fresh blankets, drying outside on a spring day. The kind that is shown on beautiful chrysanthemums, gently blowing amongst the breeze. You were never much for caring about your look, so your hair was always so similar to like cotton, easy to mess up and pull apart. Like a dandelion, so easy to blow away, they speckled your eyelashes, some of the hair in your arms, and a little bit found in your cheeks. But in a way, it was so different, that I never thought I’d love something as much as your hair.

I saw my girls laugh and smile and their sounds of joy rang me to a time when you laughed and smiled with me.

God your smile was infectious. Like a flu i was willing to catch. So much so I was getting annoyed.

Your mouth was wide. Wide enough to see your smile spread across your face like dough. Every teeth, fang, part of your gums would be visible when you smiled. The kind of smile that was carved carefully by some benevolent being above you and I. Only something I was so gifted to see. A perfect array of pearls to form the most magnificent necklace across your lips. If could, I’d frame it in the confines of my mind where I would stare at awe in the museum of my memories.

I stared at the lights below the city and tried to see your eyes.

I was never so appealed to the sky. It was blue, what was such a big deal? It was simple science. The only phenomenon that was so simple, and sometimes so dull of this earth.

That was until when we skipped class the first time as first years to head to the roof. The sun was directly shining above us as we played a make shift game of catch and laughed so the world could hear.

You took off those round dark shades you always wore to wipe off your face. You never told me why you wore such glasses. They say the eyes are the windows to the soul, but what about them did you decide to keep them closed? Because when you took the end of your shirt to wipe off the sweat from your brows, you looked up.

Eyes without a face.

The blue in your eyes matched perfectly with the late summer sky. Like I was looking into a kaleidoscope of the sea. The windows to the soul, and your soul felt like that day. Your eyes were the sky, and your face was the sun. What a beautiful sun. I was willing to become blind to see you. Gaze at you. My blue sun.

Your skin was as pale as mine. But yours was like porcelain. Not a single scar, cut or mole in sight. A marble statue of desire. It’s all I can think about when I see this snow fall. That perfect skin, the holy body. Only one I can see when I have been wiped of my sins. But you’d wipe them for me with your touch. Velvety, innocent and yet the night of our first kiss, I died when I felt that heavenly death. And then resuscitated when I pulled back.

The one thing I try so desperately to remember, so desperately to salvage like a broken record in my mind, tainted with grime and dust, trying so hard to clean any distortions, is your voice.

God, I love your voice.

Every time you’d talk with that boisterous voice of yours, whether it was to say something cocky, a joke with no value, a laugh, a yell, a cry. When you said my name.

I couldn’t help but feel the heat of it all around me, suffocating me and drowning my ears in your sound.

But I remember one blue hour. Three in the morning, when all was still, tranquil.

You came into my room silently as to not disturb, but you know I don’t really sleep well. Less now that it’s been two years without you by my side.

You stand over me and my bed for a moment, mustering up the courage to speak to me. You call out my name in a whisper and I respond.

“Suguru,”

“What is it?”

“I can’t sleep..”

“Hm. Why?”

“…I can’t sleep without you near me..”

“Hm..”

“Can I…lay here with you?”

“…yes, you can”

As you laid down beside me in what was normally a twin bed, I could feel the weight of the mattress shift lower. But I did my best to make you more comfortable than I. You smelled of fresh body wash with a hint of your newly washed white tee. Your back was towards me. I didn’t find that satisfactory.

“Satoru”

“Hm?”

“Can you face me?”

You carefully turned over to face me.

“I wanna hear why you can’t sleep.”

“But I just told you.”

“Tell me again.”

“Why..?”

“…The sound of your voice helps me sleep. Like a lullaby.”

I can see your ears get red, even in such a dark room. You leaned forward and kissed me, and then proceeded to tell me a bit about your day, what you think of people, what you think of yourself. Every hum, every vowel, noun, verb, any name including mines that you’d speak from your tongue, was like music to me. I wanted to replay it over and over again. I didn’t want you to stop. I wanted to sleep to your tune.

You were the lullaby to my dreams. I wish I slept longer.

You’re not as mysterious as you claim to be you know. At least not to me. You’re a crystal ball, I see what you are when you’re like this. Vulnerable, beautiful. You’re not a god like you say you are. You’re beyond that.

-Aggron's dex entry mentions how they plant trees and soil to keep their mountains looking nice. Steven saw his Aggron doing this, and started doing a bit of gardening himself

-Wallace does, in fact, use the nickname "Silver-haired dreamboat" for him and Steven looks like this anytime that happens

Veronaville History Museum

When you open this town, this is one of the buildings that is provided. It's right across the street from the city hall and its function - according to the blurb danjaley wrote - is to tell the story behind the feud between the Capps and Montys.

Anyway, it's just a shell with 3 exhibits on the 2nd floor. So, here's what I've done with it so far. Outside I added the deco objects - the benches, trashcans, bike, phonebooth and drainpipes.

I also redid the back patio area. I kept this floor of the museum simple. Like I said, it was pretty empty when you start.

I placed Arsil's role controller desk in the lobby, because I want to have a security guard walking around. I also added that wall between the bathrooms and the lobby and all the lights. There are a few landscape paintings in that area by the stairs, but nothing pertaining to the feud. Mostly because I figured the original sims who started this didn't want a bunch of fights between the 2 families over whose stuff should be prominent. There is that one painting in the main lobby that's supposed to be a "representation of the street fights" these 2 families engage in. It's actually one of the Beatles that I found over on TSR, but it reminded me of the fight Shakespeare writes about in act 1 of Romeo and Juliette.

Then I added a tiny ice cream shop just because. Well, mostly because I already have tearooms and coffee shops all over town, and I wanted something a bit different here.

The 3 room displays were there on the 2nd floor. I just added the artwork. That one painting in the "study" was created by my good friend, Manu - aka: @yourpicasso25. (I still have all your paintings!) Anyway, I decided that this was the Capp side of the museum. I put those paintings of Pinkie and Blue Boy there, figuring only Consort Capp would have the hutzpah to claim them as family members. I also added the seating and lights and that bust statue called "Cornelia" from the game.

This was an empty room with only that roped section done. So, I placed some statues and a few paintings. This is the Monty side. The pig statue is there because they work mainly in the culinary field, owning the bistro in town.

This is on the 3rd floor. Originally there's just the balcony, but I figured I'd place the mannequin. You'd think it has something to do with Juliette Capp, but in my game the 2 families haven't learned about the romance. This harks back to the original love affair between Patrizio Monty and Contessa Capp - before she ditched him for Consort.

On the other side of that floor is an art school. In danjaley's description, she says that the museum was funded by a local Duke and some unknown Countess. Since the only former royal I'm going to have in this town is that one from Monte Vista, I decided that the school was opened to help support the museum. Plus, I really didn't know what else to place there. I have some old, bloody corpses from 13th Sim I could have used, but I figured that was a bit much.

Anyway, that's the museum.

How you met: Civilian Going to museums was something you did as a small treat for yourself. You went every month, always a different gallery to admire all the works of art. This month you decided on the National Gallery of Art in Washington DC. This was a bit of a splurge but as you walked amongst the works of Johannes Vermeer and Claude Monet, you knew this trip was worth it. As you admired The Dance Class by Edgar Degas, a tall man joined you. "I love this one," he spoke and the empty gallery filled with a romantic British accent. You looked at him as he smiled at the painting. "I love the brush strokes and the way the lighting is just right," you spoke dreamily as you pointed to the delicate depiction of tulle. "You an artist?" he then asked and turned to face you. As you stared at his blue eyes you were at a loss for words. "I guess you could say that," you began, "although, oil is not my medium." He laughed at your response and wanting to have a companion, you invited him to view your favorite piece. That's how you and the man, who revealed his name to be John, flowed through each room and had witty conversation about the great masterpieces. He watched you attentively as you led him to Van Gogh's The Roses and something about the way you looked at the painting and described the mediums used, made him want to see you again.

A peek into your relationship: After years of marriage, your husband planned a trip to Amsterdam for your five year anniversary. You were ecstatic on the plan ride there and when you finally arrived to the Netherlands. You first stop was unbeknownst to you as John lead you through the streets of Amsterdam. You tried to pester him but he was unrelenting. Finally, your eyes were met by the Van Gogh Museum with many of his prominent paintings displayed on banners outside. "This is perfect, John," you said and quickly led him up the stairs into the museum. The entire day you walked around and admired pieces you had only seen in books. John followed you, having a quick comment or nothing to say at all, fully basking in your beauty. Finally, you ended the day by admiring Van Gogh's Irises. John held your waist as you described how the irises were originally purple but eventually due to time, showed the blue hue they did in the picture. "Thank you for an amazing day, love," he whispered to you as you basked in the painting. "Much better than my last time in Amsterdam," he followed up and you laughed, wondering what he had done.

New Fic: Objects on Loan(Critical Role)

We had initially come into the Grey Hunt Museum of Whitestone through its newest wing, where they'd put up the exhibit on the Gau Drashari, and Sophie had spent an eternity gazing at their so recently found art. By the time we'd gotten through the exhibit on the Grey Hunt that the museum had started as, it was time for lunch. So afternoon was well underway when we stepped into the original manor the rest of the museum had since been built around.

Here there were enough paintings of famous de Rolos to make you roll your eyes, though I liked Painter Cowan's series on famous Tiefling de Rolos. I can't say I didn't get a genuine thrill to see the famous Tempest de Rolo of Port Zoon in person. The manor entrance hall also had the even more famous Ascent of the Dusk Maven, and Sophie and I stood in front of that one, too, for a while, if only because we somehow each had become convinced that Tardan Greymoore had been in Whitestone a different amount of years when he first painted it. We finally asked the guard, who said Sophie was right.

Of course Sophie was right. She usually was. She'd lived in Whitestone all her life, and she knew more about its history than the average schoolkid, too. She was my guide through the museum, and here in the manor she didn't even need a map.

I did already know the general story of the Vestiges of Divergence. Growing up in Westrun, I'd even sung about the Titanstone Knuckles while playing children's games with my friends. But as we headed for the upstairs gallery where they were on display, it was Sophie who could tell me about which ones were in the museum and and most of what we knew about their history.

Then we walked in, and there they were. Five of the eight famous Vestiges wielded by Vox Machina. (The Voice of the Tempest still held hers, and the one who'd gone to the Raven Queen had taken his two with him.) Also one that had also come to Whitestone in the centuries since then. They'd gotten another one, too, but since that one had been Lolth's, it was mostly only made available to scholars and such.

For the most part the Grey Hunt Museum didn't use magical displays, but for the Vestiges, they'd put in the spells for magical suspension and barriers, so they floated above the floor, and we could look at them with our view unimpeded even by glass. Of course I had to look at the Knuckles first, the songs I'd sung about it running through my head. I walked round it twice, squinting at its etchings, almost able to smell the dense metal.

I remembered knocking my hands together as if I'd been using them to grow big. They had been maybe half the size, then, of the real thing floating before me, and even as an adult my hands were still smaller than them. That it had the Plate of the Dawnmatyr next to it, and it was still gnome-sized to fit its most recent wearer, made it feel even more massive. Even so, it was strange to think these pieces of metal had done so much towards first pulverizing my home, then saving it, so long ago.

Sophie joined me as I was looking at the Plate. "Shiny, right?' she commented. "Personally, I think Cabal's Ruin looks more impressive, but maybe that's because it was last worn by a human." I looked with her over at the cloak, and at the great bow next to it, fresh leaves still growing out of it. Of all the objects in the room, it was the one that seemed the most interesting to me, and I walked over, wondering if my eyes had played tricks on me or if the twigs sticking out of it were also moving just a little.

At least until Sophie went over to Mythcarver, said, "Watch this," and sung out, "On the waves of the southern seas, heed this tale of my love and me." The sword visibly vibrated with her song, and I changed my mind; this one was the most interesting.

"Should I sing a song from Westrun to it?" I asked. When Sophie grinned, I began, "Children run, and children hide, the Hope Devourer's just outside, and when the night is dark and blue, the Chief of Storms might come for you..." I sung the whole thing, even slamming my fists together once more at all the right points, and Sophie laughed and joined in the chorus. The sword wasn't even moving all that much, but even so it was clear to my eyes that it was dancing along. We couldn't play the game in that space, obviously, but I didn't care. I felt like a powerful bard.

Last up were the Wraps of Dyamak, the odd one out, which had only been in Whitestone for about a century and a half. They were the least impressive-looking of the items too, just two bundles of cloth and strap hanging before us, and seeing blood on things didn't shock and awe me all that much either. Then again, Sophie had told me what they could do, and I guess appearances really can be deceiving.

The plaque identifying them all was on the far wall. I didn't expect it to tell me anything about the Vestiges I didn't already know, but I was kind of curious to see how a museum described objects of gods and legends, how they could be properly and professionally dry in the face of such wonders. But an inscription on the bottom caught my eye, and it shocked me so much I exclaimed it loudly enough to startle the guards: "All objects on loan?! Shouldn't the de Rolos have donated them? Are they really such assholes to insist on retaining ownership?"

But Sophie was smiling, and she said, "Oh, they're not on loan from them. None of them besides Cabal's Ruin and Fenthras ever belonged to the de Rolos in the first place. You might notice it doesn't say where they're on loan from, and when these things are always supposed to. But that's because they aren't properly on loan from any museum or other entity."

"Then who are they on loan from?" I demanded, confused, and unhappy about that.

"Why, their future wielders, of course." At the look I gave her, she exchanged and odd and long look with the guard, then said, "I suppose this is something Whitestone remembers better than other cities, maybe because we have an underground temple that has attracted the world's scariest evildoers. Of course our century hasn't been as exciting as Vox Machina's, and hopefully our lives never will be. But sooner or later, there will be another Cinder King-or another Hope Devourer, or another Lord and Lady Briarwood, or maybe even another Vecna, or even worse.

With most objects, once they're in a museum, their time to do more than just be looked at has passed. But that time's not going to come for these things. They can float here and be looked at right now, but one day, they'll be returned to the hands of heroes, and hopefully they'll use them to save the world again. That's why they're on loan."

I knew enough about the history of both the Vestiges and Whitestone to know the rest of what Sophie was thinking. Had I not, I might have asked how the keepers of this museum would've known who to hand them over to, and who to refuse. One could say that was a question that could've been asked of whoever kept them, and maybe one with no good answer. But given who the majority of them had been in possession of when Vox Machina had taken them, there was really no disputing they'd be better off being held here until then.

A group of students, kids in their early teens, were coming in, enough to make the room too crowded. Sophie came over and took my hand, and together we pushed past them and out of the gallery. The Vestiges of Divergence were the most incredible thing in the museum, but she still had more things to show me before the museum closed.

Since there is an airport right in the middle of the path, consider flying in and arriving at 2pm Local to enjoy the event! So This Week… FREE THE INDIANAPOLIS FIVE-HUNDRED!

Another two and-a-half hour drive Southwest brings us to the lovely city of Vincennes, Indiana. Smaller, yes, with some 16,000 residents, you’ll be right along U.S. Highway 50 (east-west) and U.S. Highway 150 (north-south). You’ll be right in the centerline of the eclipse, so this’ll be a great spot without the hustle and bustle of a big city to contend with. So This Week… Yes, they all know that there’s Interstate 69 right near them too. Don’t make That Joke. They’ve heard it all their lives growing up there. Don’t be a tool.

Cancer Moon-Child

You might want to take a flight instead of driving 16 hours to get to Kerrville, Texas this time. One of the largest “small towns” in Texas at 24,00 residents, this spot will be a FAR better view than San Antonio AND give you an extra minute of darkness to enjoy! So This Week… the Sun will be at 67.5° inclination in the sky for you. SO CLOSE to making That Joke again, but… well… We all know how your luck runs, right?

Leo

We’re FINALLY headed on a Northeasterly drive about four hours, bringing us to Hillsboro, Texas. This spot’s got it all: it’s outside of Dallas with easy access to Interstate 35 where I-35E and I-35W meet. And, yet again, right on the totality line to maximize your nighttime experience. So This Week… get your car checked out so you can experience driving on the highway from day to night to day again across the length of an episode of “The Brady Bunch”.

Virgo

Again Northeast, but 10 hours by car or 4 by plane, we’re airlifting you to Cape Girardeau, Missouri! The largest city in southeastern Missouri that will experience totality with its 80,000 residents. Since it lies on the bank of the Mississippi River and is easily accessible from Interstate 55, consider booking passage on a fishing boat for the experience! So This Week… Remember that there’s a Long John Silvers and a KFC in the vicinity, 600 meters apart from each other. If you ever wanted to experience them both in one day, now’s your chance!

Libra

Wow, Libra! Overcompensating much? Another Northeasterly drive for you, and almost TWENTY HOURS LATER bring us to Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada! If you’re already Canadian and don’t want to cross the border into the U.S. (and let’s be clear, we don’t blame you), you can opt for Sherbrooke, which is only a 161 km drive from Montréal. And for the Non-Canadians out there, the fact that it ISN’T Montréal is a selling point to the rest of Canadians. With a metro population of nearly a quarter million, Sherbrooke offers plenty of lodging and other amenities, plus a quick 16 km drive south will bring you to the center line and 5 additional seconds of totality. So This Week… Remember that the French you learned in High School isn’t going to help you there. Just be content to have to understand French-Accented Attitude-Dripping English.

Scorpio

You’re really killing us here, Scorpio. You got the only Nat-20, but your ‘Scope was already written out. So you get this one instead! Last week’s Horrible-Scope for you about Warm Nuts made quite the stir for all the wrong reasons, so we’re setting the record straight. There is no one proper pronunciation for the word “Pecan”. The most accepted version of "pih-KAHN" originated from the Algonquin term “pacane” used in the mid-1700s. From there, pronunciation trends really seem to vary between rural and urban communities, not North and South ones. So This Week… If anyone wants to fight you on this truth, remind them that the Algonquin word means, “all nuts requiring a stone to crack” and that they can take a stone to their own and shut up.

Sagittarius

Libra? We take it back about the Overcompensation comment because Sagittarius has you beat. With a Southwesterly drive of THIRTY-THREE HOURS we’re ALMOST back where we started in Texas at a place called, Radar Base, Texas. Lying right on the U.S & Mexican border, this isn’t a military base but instead a small town of several hundred residents. What’s its special draw? It offers the greatest possible amount of totality without leaving the U.S. So This Week… Check the local weather history to see if it’ll be a clear day for you before you head out. And stop competing with Libra!

Capricorn

Ok, what IS it with you second-halfers getting into a pissing match with each other? Driving Northeast again for Twenty.. Six… Hours… You’re arriving at Erie, Pennsylvania. The only large city in Pennsylvania to be graced by the Moon’s umbra with its 100,000 residents, which sits on the shore of the Great Lake that bears its name. With Pittsburgh a quick 130 miles to the south via Interstate 79, you can expect a lot of competition for viewing locations. So This Week… Stop Saying “The STATE of Pennsylvania”! It’s the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania! Get it RIGHT!

Aquarius

Another 16 hour drive Southwest brings us to Russellville, Arkansas and its population near 30,000 folks. They’ve got enough resources to host a moderate influx of visitors for the eclipse, but they'd really appreciate it if you headed for nearby Mount Nebo for the actual viewing; It’s a flat-topped mountain that rises 410 meters above the surrounding valley and gives a GORGEOUS view of the skies! So This Week… Re-watch “Close Encounters of the Third Kind” and learn to play the Five-Note Sequence on a synthesizer. It’ll freak EVERYONE out and you can NOT miss this opportunity!

Pisces

Driving up Northeast one last time for seventeen hours, we come to, what’s going to be considered the Nat-20’s of Nat-20’s on this list… Niagara Falls! Take your choice of the New York or Ontario sides, the surrounding area is, basically, a tourist trap where Superman first exposed himself to Lois Lane in 1981. Already posted a doll today and I want to post another badly. Decided to draw something else since I want to space it out. Want to keep it to one per day. Might try making some of the LIs or NPCs into dolls if my urge to make more is too strong.

I’ve made DOL pcs but I haven’t made an oc that isn’t an orphan. Since I saw a couple of other peoples I now want to make my own! Working out the details on what the character does and how’d they’d fit into the town. It will change as I learn more about the NPCs and LIs.

Murmur the botanist

Height - 5’5 to 5’6 // Age - 23-26 (haven’t settled on an exact number) // Place of work - Botanical Gardens (I image that this place would be right next to the museum)

Murmur has a lot of energy. It’s almost endless! Like a husky. Her voice is loud and she’s going to make sure everyone knows what she thinks. Doesn’t mean she’s going to be impolite, just doesn’t mince her words.

The drawing is a chibi style but I plan on making another drawing later that isn’t in this style so I can get a better feel on her looks. As in, her jaw line. Don’t know if I want her to have a soft face or a jaw that can cut glass. Though the chibi style does fit with the cute character model in the game.

This drawing is just meant to get the vibe on her eye shape, hairstyle, and clothes.

I’ll make her an official tag later once I make the second drawing.

Under the cut is my long as description about her. What she does and how a pc would interact with her.

(I’ll make another post in the future to explore her better. Make it more concise? Explain the interactions one could have with her and what interactions she’d have with NPCs and LIs. I kept her relationships vague since I’m still not fully sure how others would react to her as a person.)

Murmur the lure

People in this town lunge at anybody that looks attractive. Looking for the weak so they can make them into prey. Murmur doesn’t look particularly strong and looks quite naive with the way she dresses. Choosing to stand out with the bright pastel colors. Easy prey? Ha. Laughable notion.

Dart frogs are so cute and small. The golden dart frog is a beautiful thing, ranging in colors of yellow, blue, and orange. Something that everyone knows about dart frogs is that they aren’t something to be messed with. Those bright colors aren’t stupidity, it’s a warning. If a predator ignores those warnings and eats it then it ends up choking on the deadly poison that is within the dart frog.

Murmur has cans similar to pepper spray filled with spores and medicines made from the strange plants that surround this town. Hallucinogenics, anesthesia, drugs that make you see stars. In that large puffer jacket is where they keep it all. It’s basically a bullet proof vest with the amount she has on her.

Murmur knows that the predators learn by observing the others die trying to eat those frogs. So she uses these drugs to make sure that anyone that attacks her forgets her face. Not forgetting the pain of course! That be no fun for Murmur! She’s cruel to those that attack her first and she’s also a sadist. Just loves to see them writhe in pain. Free test subjects for all the new things she makes!

You know how you don’t get charged with assault if you pepper spray a wolf? Anyone the pc can pepper spray without getting assault added on to their criminal status will face much worse if they attack Murmur.

Due to working so much with these drugs she has an immunity to them. Pepper spray doesnt work on her.

🪻Thing involving a pc🪻

You can build love and trust with her. When I say love I mean she’ll see you like a younger sibling. Trust involves her business. If her love is past 50% you’ll get a note passed to you if you’re trapped in the prison or asylum that will ask if you want help getting out. Checking off yes on the note will result in either a guard or worker escorting you outside the building to Murmur’s car. Above 80% and she’ll give you pepper spray for free every week. Bailey isn’t someone she wants to mess with. While she wants to protect you she knows what their capable of. Things would get a lot worse if she involved herself.

The drugs she makes are sometimes legal. She sells both illegal and legal drugs. Supplying to places like the hospital or brothel. Sure, she’s steps on some powerful people’s toes sometimes but compared to the usual stuff you can get in town her stuff is far better. So she gets a pass.

Her garden is open to the public, plants of all kinds! There is a private section where she’s growing all the plants she using for her business. A pc can approach and ask for work, this leads you to picking one of two options - taking care of the garden or going into around town to collect plant samples.

Both have there own dangers but once you get high enough trust with her she give you the opportunity to test out her drugs on your attackers. You can earn about 1000 per can you test. Why is the pay so much? Well here are the potential results you can get when you use the sprays she gives you to test:

50% - the drug results in your attacker being unable to continue their attack // 25% - the drug results in your attacker becoming disoriented or pained, making it easier to escape // 25% - the drug results in your attacker becoming more aggressive or persistent in their efforts, making it incredibly hard to escape

🌸Thing involving NPCs and LIs🌸

Basically, she does know and frequently talks to NPCs involved with the brothels and hospital. It’s business so she’s not really friends with them.

Remy buys from her as well. She knows a lot more about them than she wish she did. Being polite to Remy is hard for her since she hates their guts.

If she could she’d avoid Bailey as much as possible.

Alex and Eden are the only LIs she has talked with. Done some studies on Alex’s farm and has encountered Eden a lot when she goes to the forest to gather samples. Eden in her eyes is sad and pathetic, but in a cute way.
