You’ll have to parent for 2 in the beginning cause Sam’s not used to so much responsibility but he’ll catch on pretty quickly, proud of himself when he starts taking the “dad” role seriously

Vincent was super excited and was one of the first people who got to hold the baby, brags to Jas that he’s got lots of responsibilities as a new uncle

Sam probably likes showing off on the half-pipe and teaches your kid how to skate, very proud if he you guys raise a sk8ter like him

Styles you kid’s hair if they ask, then you’ll have 2 super saiyans around the farm with hair full of rock-hard hair gel

Robin LOVES the kid because Sebastian's finally out of the basement and has a family to care for; basically all she's ever wanted

Demetrius cares for the kid, might chastise Sebastian's parenting but tries to be respectful about it, also makes science experiments about ecology and takes your kid on field study trips

This kid is definitely going to be valedictorian like this is the prime environment for a little nerd

Sebastian would probably let them get a tattoo as a graduation present, might even get a matching one

Let's talk about the "Fenian brotherhood" theory !! :D

Firstly, in case you don't know about it, please go read the theory that our!Ciel's birth name might be Fenian/Fionn/Finnian by @azuresins. It is incredibly relevant to what I'm about to explain next !

TBH, I don't really care about discovering our!Ciel's birth name. However, I truly enjoy this theory and I think it makes a lot of sense, because I absolutely agree with the idea of Vincent supporting (secretly or not) Irish independence, turning him into a political enemy of Queen Victoria...

...which could be very much why he ended up dead.

This theory comes from a private convo with my friend, @dorkshadows and I'll sum up their thoughts (and some of mine) below the cut !

First of all, while we think Claudia, Vincent's predecessor, may have been a personal enemy of Victoria because of whatever happened when Albert died in 1861, Vincent strikes us more as a political enemy precisely because of Brown's comment in ch108.

After all, if our!Ciel, who just managed to thwart their plans of getting the sulin gas, is "more like his father everyday", then it makes sense that Vincent "got in the way" of some of Victoria & JB's war/political plans too. >_>

Now, about the Fenian Cycle book: it was an important symbol for Irish independence and the Fenian Brotherhood that started in the 19th century before it got dissolved in 1880. To quote Wikipedia:

"The Fenian Brotherhood traced their origins back to 1790s, in the rebellion, seeking an end to British rule in Ireland initially for self-government and then the establishment of an Irish Republic. The rebellion was suppressed, but the principles of the United Irishmen were to have a powerful influence on the course of Irish history."

But how would Vincent even get involved with it and why?

In the theory that OC's name is Fenian/Finnian, @azuresins mentioned that maybe it's all related to Cedric K. Ros having Celtic origins. Since we do have one sketch by Yana of one twin bringing the Fenian Cycle book to the Undertaker (the most likely candidate for Cedric K. Ros)...

...it might indeed be a partial answer.

There is another possibility though, entirely thought by @dorkshadows, which is that Rachel (and Ann) might have been of Irish origins too.

After all, a common stereotype for Irish people in many stories is red hair and it's hard to forget that it was a very distinctive characteristic of Ann, Rachel's sister !

In fact, one of their first interactions is Vincent telling Ann to be proud of that hair, which we were told she inherited from her dad, the twins' maternal grandfather.

So Vincent might have not just been talking about Ann's hair color in that scene, but more specifically about her taking more pride in her Irish origins. Obviously though, Dalles/Durless aren't very Irish names, but it is possible that their original family name got anglicized into a more traditionally English name.

In any case, Vincent met Rachel and Ann after already knowing their father :

So it's possible that Vincent was, as the Watchdog, investigating Lord Durless as a nobleman with Irish lineage and possible ally of the Fenian Brotherhood. After all, to quote this article, "the Fenians in England and the British Empire were a major threat to political stability". Then Vincent met and fell in love with Rachel, thus deciding to support the Brotherhood instead.

I'd add that Vincent supporting such a cause simply makes sense, considering that the Phantomhive family, too, might have been burdened by the Watchdog's duty generations ago, because of their "different" lineage (full theory here). On top of that, if you add the possibility that Cedric/UT also was of Celtic origins (many decades or centuries ago) and that Vincent knew Claudia's death was Victoria's fault, it only makes sense that he'd eventually politically antagonize the Queen (both for his parents' sake and for Rachel's).

@dorkshadows also pointed out that, to this day, we don't know if the twins' maternal grandfather is alive or dead in canon : he was important enough to be mentioned in Red's flashback but has been missing from the narrative ever since. Timeline-wise, he could be dead, especially since we never saw him in the Blue Memory arc (our!Ciel's flasback), but we never know with Yana (look at Claudia being hinted in panels ever since the circus arc and probably being incredibly relevant), so it's worth keeping in mind.

Then, moving on to ch132 we know that, when the twins were born, Rachel is the one who named them.

Coincidentally (read: it's probably not a coincidence xD), ch132 had the cover with Vincent reading the Fenian Cycle book to the twins and it's also the chapter in which Vicar Rathbone casually says that one twin/both twins (it's deliberately ambiguous in Japanese) have a name that is "rare for England" :

Many fans, myself included, thought that "Ciel" was the name being discussed there, but maybe they were actually talking about our!Ciel's celtic birth name ! To quote @azuresins, in that case that'd basically mean that, in that scene above, "Vincent said to an ENGLISH PRIEST [...] that people of Celtic origin deserved freedom, and to be treated better and that it probably was soon to come".

No wonder that Vicar Rathbone would immediately change the topic lmao ! xD

It is also very meaningful that Rachel decided to give the "Fionn/Fenian/Finnian" name to our!Ciel ("the spare"), as if to emphasize that he was free to make his own path in life, as the second son, unburdened by earldom. Choosing such a meaningful name might even be a parallel to Vincent's own situation with Frances as his spare, since both also have names with a meaning relating to victory and freedom.

Another important detail, as @azuresins already explained here, is that Fenian Cycle is also a tale of revenge and that our!Ciel parallels Fionn big deal, making it all even more relevant. And maybe Yana left other hints in her artworks too...

Finally, historically the Fenian Brotherhood officially got dissolved around 1880 (the twins were 5 years old), but it's always possible that, in Kuroverse, Vincent managed to make it thrive secretly as the Watchdog. The Fenian Brotherhood caused several incidents, including after 1880 (they assassinated a British Chief Secretary in 1882), so it wouldn't be impossible that the Queen eventually found out that Vincent didn't properly take care of them, because he was supporting them.

And when she found out? Well, she branded Vincent a political enemy and we know the rest (the household was massacred in 1885 and the killer most likely received help from real!Ciel, more details in the real!Ciel mastermind theory hehe).

The idea that Vincent ultimately became a political enemy of Victoria because he fell in love with Rachel makes their death...

...even more emotional to me, since Rachel probably died trying to protect Vincent. T_T

TL;DR that's the Fenian Brotherhood theory: because they supported an Irish rebellious group that wanted freedom, Vincent & Rachel were branded political enemies of Victoria and she & JB plotted their deaths, which led in happenstance to the RCMT.

(friendly reminder that the twins are 7, when Vincent asked Dee to look after them should he die)

So I've been wondering for some time about Alexander's role in "August fvcked up" - cases.

He's almost always there - serving in Forest Ridge from the beginning of the story, when we got to know him as Wille comes to Hillerska.

He wakes up other boys before school. But it looks like he also assist the Prefect - August. When Wilhelm arrives to Hillerska it's August who orders Alexander to take the suitcases.

He runs after August in that scene and it looks for me as he (as in the later scenes of YR) happens to land in wrong time and wrong place and August was probably like "Come with me, I might need you".

It makes me wonder, were that two duties so far in fact August's things to do or they are just the rules that Prefect choose younger student to assist him? Is this some kind of part of Alexander becoming prefect himself in the future? Also in season 2 when Vincent is the new prefect there is a scene where different boy wakes up the others...

So this is his introduction - first episode. Then he's gone up for thee whole episodes screen time until he comes for Wilhelm the day the prince learns about The Society.

[Side though: What is interesting to me - he's not there to help August with preparations for Parents Day. So it is even more clear to me that August is just using him this whole time for his own sake.]

So then the Society evening is happening and Alexander is there doing his thing - assisting. He leads Wilhelm to Palatset, but he doesn't have the key on his own.

We look at things through Wilhelm's eyes so there is no asking about what Alexander feels in those moments, bc everything is so big an new for Wille in those times.

So Alexander is just there doing his job - serving and assisting.

And there it is. He probably saw the most out of the other students. He has access to perspectives other first years doesn't have. Yes, the opinions can be heard in common room, but HE is present in times those royal, rich bastards are careless.

Read the subs above. My question is - would he really start to talk on them or was it August's manipulation to push the blame on Simon? We know that through the whole season, from Wilmon's first conversation at dinner, August does everything to split them.

I can imagine just this part - Alexander asking August to help him, to tell him what to do. I'm not even sure Alexander would ask the whole Society for making an effort for him.

Alexander is not THAT demanding. But someone else is... (August).

In season two the dynamic of Alexanders presence is pretty the same - he shows in episode 1 and then we forget about him for next 3 episodes. In those scenes we get to know that: - his dad paid money to make him stay in Hillerska; - he thinks it was August who framed him for drugs; - he wins with Wille in chess;

Then there is St. Valentine's Day Ball and August informs Alexander that it was actually Wilhelm who framed him for drugs, and for some reason Alexander just takes it as a truth. Which leads us to the point when he decides to help August with getting of the video case.

But again - he knows more. He's there when August shows Wilhelm the bottle of pills with Simon's father name. August feels save and powerful, bc Alexander agreed to take the blame. But maybe revealing the "in case something goes wrong" step in front of Alex wasn't that clever of him?

The question of Alexander's role in all this comes back to me over and over again the closer we get to season 3 premiere. I'm wondering what flip for the story line he will make this time. What if it will be Alexander who will send August to the bottom?

All I'm saying is - we should have our eyes wide open in episode 1 season 3, bc maybe Alexander will be our clue/hint for the ending of pills and video case later.

It was a large ranch. Nothing out of the ordinary for the area, sprawling hills and meadows to graze. It was beautiful, however, if you looked any closer, the people made the whole thing seem... different.

You owned the place after your daddy has passed young, leaving a handful of men around you. They were hard workers, scary to look at, but ones that would lay their lives on the line for you in a heartbeat, and they've proven that.

Michael was the first at the ranch. A quiet and stoic man that hardly ever muttered a full sentence, just with a nod of head, black hat low on his brow and navy blue bandana rippled across the lower half of his face. You had seen it a few times, his face that was. Handsome and chiseled with a scar tearing into his left brow and down his cheek leaving a story behind to give him a milky white, dead eye, but the other was a warm brown in the blistering sun. Your daddy had always said 'he is the most loyal man to ever crawl out of the pits of hell', and he was right. Any business that had been dealt with the ranch or your family, Michael was there, a haunting and looming figure surrounding you in a cold but familiar safety. Oftentimes, you wouldn't see the large man for days, just maybe his shape in the night when he locked up your tack, but he was always there when you called in mere seconds. Michael was different from the rest of the cowboys, however. Animals seemed to drift around him, turning their gaze in higher respect and moving along. He rarely ever got on a horse and if he did, it was your dad's.

When your momma was still around and your dad needed help, falling more ill, they hired Jason. A massive man but with a heart of cherry sweetness. Intimidating at first, you quickly found a gentle comfort with his bear hugs and the nights he sat at the fire next to you. Jason was mute, a tragic accident when he was a young boy had left half of his face disfigured, almost with skin scarred to look like a zombie, and you felt for him. Rarely would he ever leave the ranch and go to town unless you needed him to go, he hated crowds and strangers alike understandably so. A dedicated and natural hardworker, Jason often works the animals and does the land maintenance. He was sweet like honey but ever so watchful over the land. You remembered one night when his white hat dripped blood of a trespasser that refused to leave.

As you gained the land, the house, the business and everything in between after your parents passed, everything seemed to fall hard on you. Bearing the weight for almost a year, it was time that you needed some help.

Buying out your neighbours' land, the Sinclair twin's land, was easier said than done. Bo was a hardass through and through when it came to what he owned, even when you've been nothing but friendly and maybe a little flirty with the man. Your daddy always said to stay the hell away from him, there was just a charming allure that was intoxicating, and all the women in the area knew. It took months but with a good chunk of money, Bo couldn't refuse. It was mainly hills that were littered with car parts, decaying tractors and rusted metal you couldn't find out what they were from. It took a while, but Vincent helped out to clear the parts, turning it into new horse fields and rotation pastors. They mainly sticked to their home as you worked the fields, letting them come to you. Overtime, they did. You think you saw Bo more than Michael nowadays, always in for breakfast or for drinks and you tended to care for the boys like your own, even when Bo came to your house after a drunken night out and a black eye on his face.

This farm was your life and the these men were your family forever. Loyal till death and with sweat, blood and tears bonding you all. There was absolutely nothing you would change.

Yknow, dating sims sure do make up the wildest shit to justify you dating standard anime guys. Hey, do you want to date actual historical figures (Napoleon, Vincent Van Gogh) but as vampires? How about you get isekaied into the middle of a fantasy civil war with the warring armies representing different Alice in Wonderland characters and Wonderland is actually a generic fantasy kingdom and btw you are the reincarnation of Alice for some reason, oh hey you want to date these mafia guys in 1920s Italy but Mussolini is not mentioned (almost as if what’s the fucking point setting this game in Italy) Or what if you want to date modern Japanese cops? BUT DONT WORRY ALL COPS ARENT BAHHHD. Do you also want to discuss the inherent corruption in the police for- Hey, you wanna play as a time-travelling reporter who finds a wholesome found family with her studio-mandated male harem? Sure, but after we spend two hours failing to tackle drug trafficking and illegal immigration and using trauma for shock value. What about a game where you play a woman who suffered amnesia and is trying to piece back the fragments of her past with her chosen boyfriend and you have to rekindle your relationship with him? Nah, lets leave all her characterisation to a pixie flying in her head and make her harem consist of an abuser, a serial rapist, her math tutor and a terrorist. Theres one where you play as a librarian who got kidnapped and sent to the palace and is forced to sign a royal contract where you have to MONITOR 1 OUT OF 12 PRINCES to see which one should be the king cos the brothers are split into two parties on which one should be king and only the woman can choose cos apparently the contract need some pure hearted woman to be an unbiased party?? WHATT. There's a game where you play as a literal living doll with poisonous skin who's the clone of someone's long dead daughter being abducted by a fancy thief and now lives in steampunk London to start a new life BUT OOOHHH IT TURNS OUT YOU HAVE A SECRET LITTLE BROTHER WHO REVEALS YOU WERE THE 666TH CLONE EVER EXISTED AND IT TURNS OUT YOUR CREATOR DAD HATED YOU WOOOOOO SCARY!!! QUEEN VICTORIA IS THERE AND ALSO A TERRORIST WHO WANTS TO NUKE GREAT BRITAIN WITH THE MC'S POWERS AND A MAGIC TREE. Random headcanon written on a Saturday

Sebastian enjoys anime. He will watch the Gundams just to hang out with Maru. But he will hang out with Sophia to watch the romantic ones. He likes a good sappy anime love story. Always at her place. Doesn't want to be judged by his family.

Sam watches Saturday morning cartoons with his dad and Vincent. They eat sugar cereal and try to keep the volume down so Jodi can sleep in. Kent particularly enjoys Scooby-Doo.

Claire has a thousand dancing competition and bachelor shows on her DVR. She imagines someday she could land on Dancing with the Stars. If she is ever brave enough to go to auditions in Zuzu City.

Gunther watches Antique Roadshow and American Pickers. He also has a guilty pleasure - Duck Dynasty.

Victor likes watching the Home and Garden channel with his mom. They critique what other people like in design. He sketches our what he would do differently.

Years ago, Willy fell in love. He says she had the sweetest lyrical voice, killer red hair, and a shiny green tail. Maybe he's telling fish tales. Maybe he met a Mermaid. Who knows? His favorite Disney movie is The Little Mermaid.

Robin catches daytime soaps with Caroline and Marnie. They make popcorn and wonder why their lives are so boring sometimes.

Abigail watches adventure movies like Indiana Jones. She dragged Sebastian and Sam to see Uncharted in theaters.

Shane likes a good animal movie. Free Willy. Charlotte's Web. Homeward Bound makes him cry every time.

Harvey watches the medical dramas and wonders if the scriptwriter ever spent a day in an actual hospital.

Pam channel surfs. She can never settle on one thing. Game shows are her favorite though. She envisions herself winning Supermarket Sweep one day. Then maybe she can give Penny the life she deserves.

Alex is embarrassed to admit but he likes Ten Things I Hate About You.

Evelyn drives to Grampleton to pick up watermelons every Friday. She also stops at the video store to rent a war movie to watch with George on Saturday morning. And an animated to watch once he goes to bed. Hoodwinked, grandma!

Leah likes catching reruns of Bob Ross on PBS. He was her childhood crush.

Emily likes music videos. She had a Gwen Stefani phase. This sh*t is bananas. B-A-N-A-N-A-S! Haley stole her cd.

Morris watches Shark Tank. Then he wonders why he is still stuck in the small town middle management phase of his life.

Chapter 168: "Dad"

I know this is the same room Isabella & Peter were seen having their discussion in back during ch165, but to just have two plain chairs in such a large, empty room seems so extra. Regardless of that, I do like the panel of the trio here, even though they're surprised to find no one here due to the fake footage Peter fooled Vincent with that lead them there.

Dunno how all the kiddos are hearing Peter's message since the teams seem to only have one person with a communication device but whatever. Perhaps he's speaking loud enough for everyone to hear.

Although I have a hard time believing the Ratri men were able to tie up the Adam clones without a fight, I guess anyone will yield once you hold them at gunpoint. Also, the absence of Hayato in this panel is a nice hint to his role next chapter.

While the demon guards don't cause much of a problem during the rest of the story, it still would've been better if the kids killed them off instead of put them to sleep. I get that they didn't wanna kill if they didn't have to, but it would've been one less thing to worry about. Hearing about Sonju & Mujika's execution definitely adds to the stress. Not as much as their deaths could have, but we're thankful Peter was stupid enough to actually wait three days.

Along with all the citizens who drank the evil blood being killed, the Ratri clan and the higher-up demons taking control of the government, let's add the plan to assemble a ton of new Lambda farm into the mix as well. Talk about a big time panic. The premium farms don't sound so bad now huh?

Oh Vincent, you dunno these kids as well as you thought if you honestly believe they would shoot the adults in front of them. Emma, Ray, Don & Gillian couldn't manage to fire a shot at Andrew back when he held Dominic & Alicia hostage after the shelter raid. You're best bet would've been Oliver. This goes back to that old post of mine wondering who, among the kids, would be able to shoot at another human, but I still believe Ray could manage it, if only as a last resort.

The thought of Norman firing at another person was always a toss up for me though. Of course he showed no mercy towards demons during this WM phase, so even with the clear difference between demon and human, I wouldn't have been completely surprised if that cold persona of his came back with a vengeance once he heard Vincent get shot. Peter's been a thorn in Norman side ever since Lambda, so having this bastard personally hurt one of his friends just adds fuel to the fire. Norman (& Ray) did often mention taking down Isabella & Krone back during their GF days if they wanted to escape successfully, so they have level of brutality, it's just been real lowkey. Thankfully none of the children need to get blood on their hands. They've suffered enough already.

Please never say those words with your mouth. No one in this world considers you as that.

Hell yeah Oliver, let him know what's up!! I love that he, Zack & Gillian feel so strongly about the word "dad" because of the relationship they had with Lucas. The same can be said about Ayshe & her father but I can ramble more about all that next chapter.

I mean, in context, it's pretty serious, but thanks to a silly edit I've made years ago, I can't look at this panel anymore and not laugh like an idiot. So, now's the perfect time to upgrade it from a noticeable bad edit I made in the car on my phone once upon a time to something more worthy to use every time I lose my mind.

im gonna assume this is half in reference to the lilith vincent book i mentioned earlier so i'll give you some of my favorite romances 💞 i tried not to rec a book i've already suggested here before, so some of my very favorites ever are left out!

the authors I'll read like literally anything by are Tessa Bailey, Lily Gold, Ana Huang, J.T. Geissinger, Elsie Silver, Harley Laroux, Rina Kent... and probably someone I'm forgetting tbh but those are some of my favs

also i got a little out of hand and these are kinda all over the place lmao, but here we go! my standards for romance are very low btw so don't judge my taste

Darker romances:

Sticking with Lilith Vincent - I love her books Brutal Intentions and (to a lesser extent) Pageant. Brutal Intentions is a step-dad romance, Pageant (the first of two books, I think the second is wayyy better) is like... dark, mafia, reverse harem, kidnapping, a whole lot tbh. Look up trigger warnings!!! I think she lists them at the start of the book

I don't particularly like H.D. Carlton (I very much so disliked Haunting/Hunting Adeline) but I fucking LOVED her book Does It Hurt? If you want fucked up characters, toxic relationships, noncon, and a pretty well-written subplot for a self-published romance I would recommend this one! (tbh I'm half convinced it's ghostwritten, I cant fathom Haunting Adeline and Does It Hurt? being written by the same person)

Sinners Anonymous & it's sequels by Somme Sketcher. Mafia romance. Age-gap. Kinda trashy but very fun imo. Also read Danielle Lori's Made series if that sounds neat to you!

M.L. Marian's Claimed & Tamed series. Each book follows a different man in the same family where the tradition is that men kidnap their wives. My favorite is Caught <3

Romcoms/Lighter stuff:

I like most Mariana Zapata books, but my favorite is either Under Locke or Luna and the Lie. I've read 7 of her books and they're all basically the same structure with the same characters, so if you read one and like the dynamics you'll probably like her others

One Percent of You by Michelle Gross is my favorite single mom romance of all time. Tattoo artist who hates kids falls in love with his over-worked neighbor who's a single mother of two. SO cute and soft

Bittersweet by Morgan Elizabeth. tattoo artist x baker, this is one of my favorite romcoms ever.

Sunny Disposition by Deanna Gray. Amnesia, college, hockey, roommates to lovers, this is a very soft and fun read that I enjoyed as a bit of a palette cleanser. Iirc it was a little long, but a good time

Other??:

When a Scot Ties the Knot by Tessa Dare. I don't like historical romance much, but this doesn't really feel like one to me! A woman makes up a soldier to write letters to so she can avoid getting married, and years later he shows up on her doorstep ready for their wedding. This is so much fun

Transcendence by Shay Savage - two words for you: Caveman Romance. This is told entirely from the caveman's perspective and tells the story of him meeting a woman who's very odd (because she's from the future) and their life together. It drags a little bit at times, but I think it's so so fun and the end had me crying

King by TM Frazier goes a little off the rails, but I had fun with it. The main character is called 'Pup' for like 90% of the book and that was enough for me. Our FMC has amnesia and is taken in by a local gang leader and the plot goes from there

Under His Heel by Adara Wolf - ok before I say what this is about, I cannot overstate how dark and fucked up this book series is. They're disturbing. I loved them, I've read them all at least twice, but they are deeply upsetting. It takes place in space in the far distant future and follows our main character Alex as he becomes an indentured servant for a sociopath named Captain Tracht. These books are a weird mix of porn and plot, but if you want fucked up smut and fucked up relationship dynamics, this is the holy grail

For some reason I have spent quite some time doing some "world building" (if it can be called that) that I probably won't add in the comic, so, gonna dump it all here.

The school is not the best of all, not even by public school standards, if anything, the school is often a second choice, and most of those who enter there are mostly bc it has little requirements to get in, and is very lenient to special cases.

Some examples of these people would be Freddy (he enters after the classes started) Bon, Julian (both didn't enter the private school they were going to at the last minute, so they got "stuck" in that school, there's more to them later)

For the school itself, it's not that bad (there's a reason that many ppl prefer to go there as a second choice in comparison to other schools) the classes are fairly decent (though, some teachers are prone to not show up to class), and it has a bunch of academic and sports programs, even though it kinda lacks on the cultural aspect. Until a new benefactor steps in.

So, after Julian failed miserably during his entrance exams for the private school he was going into, his father got him into the school he is in now, and to "cover up" the incident his dad decided to become a benefactor of the school, and bc of that, now the school has more budget, with the condition of using it for the whole "art" section (idk how to call it). And out of the blue, the school now has an improved auditorium, a bunch of new material and instruments, and, of course, a variety of new activities for the students, starting with a brand new band contest where everyone can participate, who knows what might happen next, maybe there'll be an official school band, or a chorus or something, (this is all really just testing how the students might take the new situation)

**Julian exposition time again!. Let's go. He basically burned himself out for trying to study for the entrance exams, finish middle school, and all that. It was bad, like, forgetting weeks worth of studies the moment you start the exam bad, like staring at the questions for the whole 3ish hours of the test while none of the questions make sense bad, like, flunking so embarrassingly that it's basically a secret, to the point your dad makes up an elaborate plan to hide the true reason you're going to a certain school, and forces you to take a different path than the one he had already set up for you bc you couldn't keep up bad. Like, that bad. (Poor guy, every time I check on what his deal is, I add more to it. I'm sorry but I like it when the characters'actions are part of the setup of the story, idk how to explain but is Fun)

Now, onto the ppl behind the music contest.

Lana*- secretary- the one actually in charge of the contest

Vincent (yes, the waiter/presenter*) - intern teacher- the one who is supposed to do most of the work

Owynn- student 15 yr old- he helps out every now and then bc he has nothing better to do w no ulterior motives :)

Bon's dad*- music teacher (I'll get to that, hold on)- he has to set up practice sessions/ music classes for whoever enters the contest

[insert OC name here] (an oc wow)- student/intern 17 yr old- the one who ended up doing most of everything

*giving them roles bc I'm lazy 4 ocs, even [insert OC name] is almost the librarian, yeah he's another different character

The arrangement goes like this: Lana is the head of the project and the one who reports back to the boss (between the principal and Julian's dad idk). The planning of events, the coverage, and those administrative details get solved by Vincent, and Bon's dad is supposed to manage the music rooms and instruments, as well as make schedules for using those for practices. [Insert OC name] does most of the hard labor, checking registrations, putting up the signs, etc., since their job as an intern is basically to help w anything that needs to be done. And also basically doing all of Bon's dad responsibilities since he doesn't actually have the time to do his job as a teacher.

Frances Midford : The Mentor, a summary

To follow with my post about fighting against misinformation, here’s a first topic.

Ciel’s remaining aunt is often viewed by the fandom as a mean lady who doesn’t care, because of a) all the mysteries around the family that Ciel doesn’t know about and b) the use of comic relief in Kuroshitsuji often used to hide some relevant clues, as previously demonstrated in this post. This is actually far from what her character really is about and I intend to demonstrate it now with a (long) recap post.

I have talked about Frances a lot in the past, about her caring about our!Ciel and about her possibly knowing, like Tanaka, that he was lying about his identity. While the former is undeniably true, the latter is still up for debate. [X][X][X][X] However, with the upcoming adaptation of the Weston arc (probably) in 2024, I don’t want the old discourse to come back, so without further ado...

What Yana has said about Frances’ character

Besides our!Ciel, Frances is the last remaining Phantomhive (not counting real!Ciel as a BD). She’s Vincent’s younger sister, they both have the same parents (that is to say Claudia P and Cedric K. Ros) and she married out of the family (implying that maybe the Phantomhives have distant relatives still alive), becoming Lady Midford.

According to Yana, Frances takes after their dad while Vincent takes after their mom and the same is true for her kids, meaning Ed takes after her (thus takes after his maternal grandfather) while Liz takes after Alexis.

As far as her relationship with our!Ciel is concerned, here’s what Yana said in the guidebook : “Frances' strength of character is why Sebastian chose her as a role model Ciel should follow”. Since her relationship with Lizzie is sometimes also viewed negatively, I’d like to add that both in the guidebook and on twitter, Yana said that “Liz thinks her mom is kind and strong so she looks up to her mom as a role model she aspires to become”, hence the similar hair style.

TL;DR Yana’s overall description of Frances is that a) she’s kind and strong which is why b) she’s Lizzie’s role model, as well as the role model Sebastian thinks our!Ciel should follow.

Now that this is established, here’s what the canon story gives us, to illustrate Yana’s words. Spoilers for the entire manga series and long read below the cut.

Frances’ introduction

Frances is introduced in ch14 and, boy, what a generally misunderstood chapter by some parts of the fandom. xDD

Contextually, ch14 is Ciel’s birthday, meaning it is also the anniversary of the massacre of the previous household and Madam Red just died, after trying to kill him. For those who might wonder, the guidebook confirmed that our!Ciel was quite saddened by Ann’s death (obviously), so really, what a fun 13th birthday in perspective. Cue Liz and Frances.

The comments on her strength aside, Frances’ introduction is otherwise often misread as her nagging being inappropriate but I beg to differ. As mentioned by @akumadeenglish and @chibimyumi, Yana is Japanese author who likes to explore writing tropes in depth. Though it’s also important to remember that, before the curry arc, Yana didn’t know how long the series would run so everything had less intent, because the story was initially supposed to end quickly.

In other words, Frances’ introduction really is initially to be read as the severe mother-in-law (based on Japanese comical stereotypes) coming to check on how he handles his household, which is why Seb is so stressed out when everything goes bonkers. But that’s only the surface.

Most importantly though, Frances showed up because it is Ciel’s birthday and, as said above, there’s a lot of negative and dreadful memories associated with this day. So...

...let’s change his mind, shall we?

Phantomhives love games and Frances is a Phantomhive too, the last one besides our!Ciel, so she knows her nephew and chooses an activity she knew he wouldn’t be able to resist.

Ch14 also introduces two important facts that are still relevant as plot points, especially as far as the Blue Revenge arc is concerned. The first one is that our!Ciel protected Lizzie from that bear, so Frances said she owes him.

Secondly, as stated by Frances herself, she knows the ropes of the “game” (aka acting as the Watchdog) better than our!Ciel (”you’ve still got a decade to go before you can even think of winning against me”).

In fact, like our!Ciel with real!Ciel, Frances was probably raised as Vincent’s spare [X][X], but compared to our!Ciel who knew next to nothing about his father’s real job until 3 years ago (at the time of ch14), Frances is an experienced veteran...

And that’s why Seb chose her as a role model for our!Ciel.

Therefore it is my opinion that ch14, despite being written back when Sensei didn’t know how long the series would be published, is still relevant as heck when it comes to Frances’ role in the series, aka acting as a mentor for our!Ciel (and for Lizzie, as Yana also stated). Kuroshitsuji is a slow story though, with a lot of build up and it’s why some fans still fail to see how significant Frances is to the plot and to our!Ciel’s development.

Campania arc

Liz is the one who comes to ask our!Ciel to come with her whole family (thus introducing Alexis and Edward) on a cruise, but it’s also very important to note that she conveyed that Frances thought that our!Ciel should take time off of work:

This led some of us fans to theorize that maybe Tanaka used to send updates to Frances about our!Ciel’s wellbeing and how he fared as the Watchdog: the timing of the cruise works well with Frances’ remark, considering that the Queen just sent Charles Grey as a merry punishment for Ciel’s deeds during the Circus arc.

This arc mostly highlights Frances’ bravery and strength : she didn’t hesitate to fight for countless of passengers unrelated to her (something that UT said isn’t very typical of Phantomhives, during Weston)...

More importantly, we finally get into Lizzie’s personal motivations and we indeed have the confirmation that...

...Frances is a big key to Lizzie’s strength, confirming the role model/mentor position that she holds in Lizzie’s eyes. I’d like to also point out that Frances completely trusts in her daughter’s abilities, which highlights a very positive mother/daughter dynamic.

Lizzie’s flashback gives us this very important bit...

...a part that’s unfortunately often overlooked by the fans complaining that Frances is too severe with our!Ciel and Lizzie. This scene however makes way more sense once we find out, after the Weston arc, that Frances lost her mother Claudia (the Watchdog before Vincent) when she was probably about 12 or 13 years old (Vincent being 15 years old then).

To me, this is a big explanation as to why Frances is as serious about training as she is:

Indeed, she lost at least her mom (and later her brother) so, since her daughter is betrothed to the future Watchdog, she wants Liz to be strong enough to survive. All I see in the former panel is a mother saddened by the burden on her child’s shoulder and desperate to imagine that she will be exposed to a lot of danger as an adult.

Side point there, but it’s likely there’s a very relevant reason Frances’ only daughter was betrothed to Vincent’s heir when they were young kids. We’ll dive into it later, but I believe the answer is tied to the Phantomhive lineage introduced in ch103.

Lastly, our!Ciel’s flashback also gave us another important bit to explore...

...which is that our!Ciel directly applies what Frances once told him to his current path for revenge:

Also note the allusion again to Vincent “losing the game”, creating a parallel with Frances telling our!Ciel in ch14 that “he still has a decade to go before he can even think of winning against her”, because he has a lot to learn from her, especially since even he admits that he knows next to nothing about his own family.

The previous spare teaching the spare. How fitting. :D

Weston arc

Even if Frances only appears in this arc during the cricket game, I think there is a lot to be deduced from it. First, I’ve said it long ago and I’ll say it again: I strongly believe Frances played a part into Vincent’s victory during the first blue miracle.

Mind you, Tanaka basically confirmed that Vincent cheated to win (since he knew what Seb and Ciel were up to) and I could totally see Vincent asking his strong little sister to crossdress in order to destroy the Green team. xDD Besides, she certainly seems uneasy whenever the topic is brought up and she also wasn’t fooled by Ciel’s act when he won, haha!

This is silly, but this shows (imo) that Frances and Vincent had a good sibling dynamic, with Frances supporting her brother as the Watchdog as much as she could, which is heartwarming because this means Frances would have no reason not to support her brother’s sons after his death.

Tanaka (who, according to Yana, was already in the household taking care of Vincent and Frances as children) and Frances happily dancing together at the end of the tournament also confirms this. Vincent and Frances having a strong sibling bond would also explain why, despite Claudia’s death, Frances would agree to the betrothal between Lizzie and Vincent’s heir (and would keep it that way, even after Vincent’s death).

All that to say, I’m sure the cricket game confirmed to Frances how similar our!Ciel is to Vincent on some aspects (the second blue miracle attests to that), which probably makes him somewhat predictable (and reassuring?) to her.

One thing that I also believe is important is Ed’s mini flashback during the game. On this topic, Yana has said that she couldn’t draw his backstory in detail, so she’ll probably expand on that in the future, which makes me think that there is some foreshadowing in there.

TBH I think it’s ironic that Ed would consider himself as “ordinary”, considering the whole lineage thing introduced one arc later. xDD But also, if we consider that the tale of Vincent’s first blue miracle is supposed to hint that Vincent and Frances were close as siblings, it’s nice that Ed, who takes after his mom the most, would also have his own flashback about loving and looking up to his sister a lot, despite his small inferiority complex. Considering that Liz sees their mom as her role model though, I guess that means Ed also sees his mom as a role model (though the Campania arc already made that pretty clear).

During the Weston arc, Frances also managed to surprise Sebastian, both by recognizing him (lol) and by stopping him despite his intent to leave, which is, according to the demon himself, no small feat:

Like the usual nagging she does towards Seb though, it’s played for laugh, but as introduced in this post, I believe overused comic relief is a way to foreshadow some hints and we’ll dive into it with the next arc.

Last but not least, during this arc UT commented that our!Ciel was different from his ancestors when he willingly put himself in danger to save Joanne...

...but as presented during the Campania arc, it seems it’s a trait he shares at least with his aunt, furthering the parallels between them and the fact that she would definitely make a good mentor for our!Ciel, because they’re quite alike and can probably understand each other.

Green Witch arc

The only relevant part of this arc with Frances’ character is the introduction of a special lineage in the Phantomhive family by German Shinigamis...

...something that might explain why our!Ciel was able to notice them, when even Seb didn’t. So this begs the question: who else in his family shares this lineage? And obviously, Frances and her kids might !

My personal opinion is that the lineage thing is old and is probably why the Phantomhive family became the Watchdogs, many generations ago. But also, if our!Ciel can notice Shinigamis thanks to it, could it explain why Frances was able to detect and catch Seb during opening ceremony before the cricket game at Weston? And why she always nags him about his appearance (both hair and face)? That remains to be confirmed, but...

...at the very least Bravat in the recent arc confirmed that some gifted people like himself can “sense” that demons are different. Just like animals [x][x], apparently. Bravat is irrelevant besides being a small scale villain though, so I take it as a hint for a more plot significant character, such as Frances, whose nagging behavior towards Seb is way too overused as comic relief anyway.

The lineage thing is yet one more family topic on which Frances probably has answers to give to our!Ciel (the only other people who might know about it being Tanaka and UT).

Bonus : if what Vincent said below about strong-willed women in the family line (from a side story “With Father”) is a hint towards the lineage thing...

...then it’s probably why Vincent wanted Lizzie to be betrothed to his heir in the first place and why Frances agreed.

Blue sect & blue revenge arcs

I already mentioned that Bravat’s innate ability to recognize Seb as a demon was a hint that other characters, like Frances, might be able to guess that Seb is a demon as well, so moving on to ch151 :

This chapter confirms that UT has known Frances since she was very young (which is a hint to the UT = Cedric theory of course), which also explains why, knowing about her strength, UT went on with the whole BD massacre on the Campania despite the presence of our!Ciel and the Midfords on board.

Also, while this chapter neither confirms nor denies if Frances knew about our!Ciel lying about his identity (like Tanaka and UT did), she didn’t show anger nor disbelief about the situation, just her incomprehension.

More than anything, this chapter strongly hints that our!Ciel will at some point seek his aunt for a talk before the final confrontation with UT and real!Ciel, because both are seeking answers to their different questions (our!Ciel needs to find out about UT & his grandmother and the lineage thing, while Frances will want to know what’s the deal between the twins). ...and, i mean, why would she? She faced the Bizarre Dolls on the Campania and, for all we know, Edward told her how the Weston arc ended so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ considering that UT has been involved every time, the Midfords probably aren’t far from connecting the dots about real!Ciel being already dead.

To sum up !

Outside of the narrative, Yana said that Frances was Lizzie’s role model and that Seb also wanted her to be the model our!Ciel should follow. And, in my opinion, the entire series so far (as I tried to present in this post) is slowly building up to that because :

our!Ciel and Frances are very similar: both the spares & both survived their parents’ and brothers’ death

both saved folks unrelated to them despite being Phantomhives, meaning that they are a bit alike and can understand each other

our!Ciel literally built his path of revenge following the advice Frances told him about how to counterattack an opponent

Again, to understand who targeted his family, our!Ciel needs to find out about his grandmother, about the lineage and about why his dad had to be killed amongst other things. The only people who can answer him are UT, Tanaka and Frances.

I believe UT and Tanaka are more connected to Claudia, but also both are by real!Ciel’s side for now, making them less accessible for a talk. This leaves Frances for the time being and, as Vincent’s sister and Claudia’s daughter, it seems appropriate that answers would be coming from her.

Also, in shonen series, usually the hero(es) have a mentor figure who will help them “unlock their potential” through training. Kuroshitsuji is not your usual shonen and I doubt our!Ciel can become better at fighting lmao, but Frances can certainly help him better appreciate the massive scale he’s bound to face when seeking his revenge. Especially if it all goes back to events from 3 generations ago and a worldbuilding full of supernatural elements, as well as a world war he doesn’t entirely comprehend yet.

Frances acting as a mentor/role model for her own kids also foreshadows that they’ll follow our!Ciel on his journey and, like him, they’ll definitely need her wisdom/knowledge to be able to reach the necessary level for survival by his side.

As to when all that is going to happen, well, I’d say Frances will probably take on a more active role in the plot when, to quote Seb in ch14, "[our!Ciel] will overconfidently believe that he cannot lose and that it will be necessary for him to carry himself with humility while striving for his goal". Because by then, "an adult who will be firm with him is what he'll need".

If that doesn’t foreshadow the current conflict between the twins, I don’t know what does. xD

Ok ok I have decided to open back up my requests to do Final Fantasy requests due to Rebirth coming out recently. I will open up to other fandoms but most likely just a few (don't wanna overwhelm myself again)

I will have rules for this bc I don't like doing REALLY nasty stuff. I see enough as is... besides it's fun seeing wholesome lovey dovey bs or a good fight every once in a while.

Be nice and don't come after me if your prompt/request is not finished within the timeframe you thought it'll be done. Just be patient.

No nasty prompts! Keep it to very minimum. I will do blood, weapons, fights etc etc. no gore unless it's like a severed arm in a fight or something idk. I will do just about any gender/sexuality (within reason, no complicated ones)

My LONG FNAF AU ( I'm trying to do this all in one post but the might be a part 2) ⚠️please don't make fun of my AU and be rude⚠️ ⚠️ WARNING VIOLENCE AND DEATH ⚠️

THE MISSING KIDS

So they are kind of complicated to explain because it depends on how you think of them in the moment, if that makes sense which it probably doesn't . What I mean by that is kind of surrounding their age, in one kinda like "random" AU I made they all were 16, in that AU they were also visible to alive humans but they were still ghosts they just were in disguise. So they can disguise themselves and also be ghosts at the same time since I KNOW some of you are curious ( just saying that but no one is prob reading this) I would love it if you asked some questions in the comments. But anyways long story ( or explaining ) short they communicate with alive people but their ghosts I know it doesn't make sense at all so that's basically all about the missing kids.

THE AFTON FAMILY / OTHER EVENTS

(This part is going to be based on the order of events) William first met Henry in highschool not college that's also where he met Clara ( that Mrs Afton's name in my AU please don't say anything about the disturbing gacha stuff back, then I wasn't a part of that and Clara is just her name) but Henry did not meet his wife in highschool I actually haven't decided where he met her. William's interest in animatronics actually started in highschool because he had been introduced to them by Henry. Fredbears family diner actually started after they finished college. Then a little while after that Freddy Fazbear's pizzeria opened after the bite of 83. The bite of 83 actually happened before Elizabeth died. Here is a list of when the different restaurants openend 1. Fredbears family diner 2. Freddy Fazbear's pizzeria 3. Circus baby's pizza world 4. Renewed Freddy Fazbear's pizzeria ( the building in Fnaf 2 with the toy animatronics)

Fredbears family diner opened first but then closed down for a while because of the bite of 83. William and Henry then decided to open Freddy Fazbear's pizzeria. William then killed the 5 kids out of his own anger and sadness because of Evan's ( Crying child )

Death. Then Circus baby's pizza world opened and for the time that it was open Elizabeth died there. Circus baby's pizza world and the renewed version of Freddy's Fazbear's pizzeria where opened at the same time but circus baby's pizza world shut down earlier. Here's a list of the deaths in order 1. Evan 2. All the 5 kids 3. Elizabeth 4.Charlie. Full list of events..... The bite of 83,the 5 kids,Elizabeth's death , Charlie's death, a LONG time after that Williams Death, then bite of 87, and the Events of Sister location.

OTHER IMPORTANT INFO AND FACTS

The Fnaf 4 bullies name are Michael (obviously) Jeremy Mark and Alyssa. Michael (Foxy mask) Jeremy ( Freddy mask ) Mark ( Bonnie mask ) and Alyssa ( Chica mask ). Jeremy the Freddy mask in my AU is Jeremy Fitzgerald the victim of the bite of 83.

Vanny and Vanessa are not the same people,but they are Twin sisters. Their dad is William and their mom is unknown but Clara is not there mom. Another thing is Glitchtrap and William are also not the same people (yes I know this is canon and I am fully aware of the it's just not canon in my AU) Glitchtrap is actually a guy named Vincent (that has nothing to do with bluey capsules if anyone was wondering) Vanny and Vanessa are also the same age as Michael, William left them and their mom to start a new family.

hello, my Marjorie Visperas, everyone calls me Marjs, let me tell you a story of mine which is my journey get ready your paper towels hahaha anyways, I grew up with my mother's cousin is not sure if they were cousins but I think it's my mother cousin, anyways I grow up without knowing both my mother and father and it was hard, go back when I was a child I always compare myself to others like look at them what they what always have or look at them, I wanna experience those moments with my family but as I grow I never experience those moments and it broke my heart as I grow older I've always imagined how unhappy am I when I was young. at school I was doing great at that time I gained a lot of friends by joining extracurricular activities I have those best memories of mine.

when I reached high school things started to change differently. In my 7 and 8 grades things were great i joined some extracurricular activities but ended up crying because I didn't meet the grades that I had always wanted but still proud of myself a little for achieving some achievements. by grades 9 and 10, I transferred to a public school due to the pandemic things were tough, and financially unstable when I was in grade 9 I got depressed and cried a lot because I started to miss both my mother and father i started to blame my self and my anger issue got worst and wordt like how could they do this to me? what I have done to them? am I the reason for their divorce? could they do this to their DAUGHTER?? I cried so hard in silence, that I could feel the ache in my heart so bad. My grade 9 journey was complicated and the worst and it affected my academics time I got 79 that time I cried so hard until my heart got heavy, and I didn't have anyone to lean on to let my tears until Icalmedm Then I decided to go to the church and I didn't expect to cry so hard I got embarrassed because people notice that I cried. I talk to god-like WHY? This is so heavy lord I could not even handle this situation I want my mom and dad a happy life a happy family getting my parents together again this is all I ask for you, not this one lord this is so heavy please let me experience happiness and help my heart to calm down lord I don't even know what to do with this life, how should I end this life and I don't even know the other messages I talk to god after I pray I promise to myself to move on. after my grade 9 journey, I exhale then move forward

when the time I stepped on my grade 10 journey I thought I couldn't survive it. you see I met this boy named Vincent Baguio when he approached me that time, he is so friendly and I love his humor so much he is the only person who helped me to move on from the past and focus on the present, i did well that year i laughed a lot just like what I ask to god I received pure happiness of mine that I could not even imagine in my whole life, with his help and gods help I wouldn't receive the honor certificate sometimes I can think about my family but I'll remain calm. I thought those journeys would last forever but they didn't when the time it was the awarding ceremony I got jealous of those schoolmates, classmates of mine because they had their mom or dad to honor their achievements, ents or sometimes both of their parents showed up to be proud of you. When I only had my guardian and was not even interested in coming I cried after the ceremony and my anger issues were back again. I came to church after that day and prayed to god about how great he is hoping next year I still get an award and a calm heart again.

by the time I reached senior high, I prayed again to god to let me experience that happiness again. By the day I stepped into our classroom I was slightly nervous so I remained calm around 3 months into my 11 journeys slightly bad because I didn't receive or obtain the grades that I wanted even though I worked so hard I cried and cried and then it's getting worst but in the end, I'll manage to the honor list so I thank god so much and ask more but this time my business I prayed that when I reached at the age of 18 I have my own small business. *passforward my grade 12 journey is still resuming, but I noticed something about myself, my grades were falling started to feel depressed and empty, I started to lose the passion for something that I've always done, which I fully gave up everything, all I wanted is to have a physically mentally rest, while my life gave up my aunt invited me to go to the church to. niño basilica and we prayed I only prayed that time to be productive and happy again and also let me heal this pain and sickness I've been trying to figure out, unexpectedly, she invited me to the confession room and while I got chills, and nervous when it's my time I was shaking I don't even know what to do but father calms me down while I was addressing all the pain the never-ending heartache I felt, also my family situations and my business I can't handle my teary eyes I burst into tears and after that, he prayed for me. after that, my heart was slowly healing. received a message from my dad that told me to come home and ask for forgiveness he wanted to repay all the things he did he wanted to make it up. I've never been so happy in my whole life seeing those messages from my papa. like this is the first time my papa would never congratulate me, or thank me but I'm glad he wanted to make things right I know I have some issues with my family but as father told me to forgive my parents and talk to them with my Besides that, I got my business at 18 and I'm so happy and it's growing and growing.

there are so many stories I could share but I have some issues like I don't even know where to start and when should i start. all I can say is to always pray to god and thank god for everything and try to confess your sins and pain Father I promise after that you will receive great news. the end my journey will continue soon thankyou for your Time...the end.
