AND THE THING ABOUT OLIVER AND BOUNDARIES!

Is so obvious to me that his parents were party at fault for his lack of boundaries. Not because they we're malicious and intentional about it, but because they loved him so much they tend to cross his limits.

(Kinda like what Oliver did with Felix, but less obsessive).

From my experience it's something relatively normal about the relationship between parents and their children. The first time we really understand boundaries is when we enforce them to separate ourselves from our parents expectations. It seems to me that Oliver never learned how to do that. He's constantly molding himself to appease and appeal, and when it becomes to much, he flees.

Let's go back to the little things Paula and Jeff share with us in that brief birthday scene.

"He always wanted to be an only child, always beetling off by himself"

"He was so clever, that's why he found it hard to make friends, they were jealous".

"It's been hard not seeing him. But it must be a lot of pressure being the top scholar and being in the rowing team, and the union, and the plays..."

Let's start with the lies.

How long ago Oliver started lying to his parents to make space for himself?

Cause the lies don't necessarily feel like something he used to impress them. It seems to me like the Quicks already thought Oliver was exceptionally smart "he was always so clever" and he's just keeping appearances.

But the amount of things he said he did. The plays, the rowing team, the union, the work of studying to maintain the "top scholar position" like reading, doing work and essays and projects, assisting to classes, lectures and tutorials, it's a lot!.

"It's been hard not seeing him". How many times Paula called just to be ignored or quickly dismissed? with an excuse like "sorry i have an essay due tomorrow" or "im going to practice for the play". And why Oliver wanted to separate himself so much from his family?

"He always wanted to be an only child, always beetling off by himself" why would Oliver wanted to separate himself not only from his parents but his siblings too?

The Quicks said that "We go to to Mykonos every year. Well, not anymore. Not now that the kids are all grown up". That makes me think that Oliver sisters are older than him. Oliver doesn't seem to have a close relationship with them either. Was it because of the age gap? How much older were her sisters? Maybe they had to babysit and that created a second-mother kind of dynamic?

It sounds like he was being smothered by them. And again, i'm not saying it was intentional, but maybe Oliver needed much more space that what the Quicks were able or willing to give. And he didn't know how to ask.

And maybe (only maybe cause i don't really have good foundation for this) Oliver learned that the best way to get space from them was saying he was occupied, specifically studying. So maybe it started at school, him saying that he had to finish homework or read a book or do project, and maybe these were the only times he'll be left alone. Maybe that was the perfect excuse to explain why he didn't have many friends too.

(and i wonder why a kid with no sense of boundaries would have a hard time making friends 👀)

And why Oliver keeps lying?

After moving to Oxford, he could've just draw back and create that space without making an excuse. But he didn't, because he cares, he likes that his family thinks he's intelligent and capable. But he doesn't care for spending time with them.

I don't think he said all those lies to look especially intresting or important, but he did choose to "be occupied" by being a good student. Not in a "i won an award for best performance" but a "I'm too busy to talk, i have tutorial"

And look at the way the Quicks react to Oliver saying he has to go, is very interesting.

Paula just gives up instantly. She offers a compromise, and when rejected she's obviously frustrated but she just lets it go. On the other hand Jeff tries to reason with his son a little "your mother spent all morning doing lunch" but they seem very accustomed to this situation. It's not the first time Oliver escapes a conversation.

So, to me, is obvious that Oliver's parents knowingly or unknowingly contributed to Oliver's lack of healthy boundaries.

He never really draw the line with them, he just made excuses to avoid and elude and ultimately flee when the situation got out of hand. And they never picked up on it, they kept repeating the same scenarios multiple times without having a conversation about it.

I feel like his parents never really confronted him about anything. Maybe because they didn't sense anything was wrong, maybe because, same as the Cattons, they didn't know how to approach the situation or maybe because they know Oliver gets really fcking upset whenever they tried to have a conversation about it, who knows.

So at the end we have a 20yo dude who never learned how to enforce a boundary or why is healthy to have them and has absolutely no idea how to perceive and not cross others limits.

Is physical or digital note taking easier?

Is spending money on a laptop nessesary?

What is something you wish you would've done differently during your first year?

ive tried both and i think i prefer handwritten notes, however they both have their pros and cons:

handwritten pros

proven to be better for retaining information

can't get distracted by other tabs

lighter to carry

costs less than a laptop

i've had some classes where we weren't allowed to use laptops so it's good to already be used to taking notes this way

cons:

much slower. sometimes i find im missing stuff and i have to go back to it at the end

have to print out diagrams etc if u want to include them

could possibly lose them, spill something etc

not enough space on desk for both laptop and notebook so u can't get slides up or google something

digital pros:

much quicker

easier to organise & pull up different notes at any time - u don't need to carry around or find older notebooks to be able to study or refer back to past classes

some people make notes directly onto the slides which u would have to print out if u wanted to do by hand

can also use for research and writing essays which u will need a computer for at some point so might as well do everything in one place

cons:

expensive

more stressful if u lose or break it

if u forget to charge it and u don't have paper .......

this upcoming year, im using a combination. most of the time i'll handwrite my notes, but for classes where they talk too quickly i'll type them (it's not worth the stress & extra time having to go back to recordings after). my notes for readings will be annotated straight onto the pdf. i'll be taking pictures of notes to put them all together.

unfortunately, i think it is because you'll need computer access to research and write ur essays, as well as to find course information etc. HOWEVER some universities (most?) have laptops that u can borrow and computers in the library, so if u know that you'll be motivated enough to get up and do all of ur work on campus, you could save this cost - bare in mind when u move off campus after first year it might be even harder. definitely look into this if cost is an issue for you! it doesn't need to be a fancy one if u do buy a laptop though, just remember u'll be carrying it around so don't get a super heavy one!

as for something i wish i'd done differently: as a sociology student, none of my classes have exams where i have to memorise things, instead it's all essay based. this led me to not 'study' i guess ??? like the stuff that i wrote my essays on, i knew like the back of my hand, but everything else i couldn't remember well. so if ur taking an essay based subject, remember that u still need to study a little & remember these things !! i was so overwhelmed tbh that i forgot about this oopsie!

when people say that after u skip one class, u'll skip the rest THEY. MEAN. IT. literally try so hard not to miss class bc you will never go again if u do. my classes would start off with not enough seats for everybody and end up with just a handful of us by the end of term.....

make time for urself !! it can become all consuming, especially if u live on campus, but pls make some dedicated time away from studying !!

u will find ur friends eventually. pls remember that it won't last or be that fun if u stick with friends who u don't have that much in common with just bc they were the first u met. tell me why i was going to bars and clubs with people in first term bc that;s what they wanted to do ????? it's ok to move onto different people bc u will eventually get tired of doing these things u don't like just to be able to hang out with people !! now i go to bookstores and cafes with my new friends and i love it!! don't settle !!

About language brainrot. Imagine writer creator reader who finally learns how to write in Teyvat's weird symbols and they want to publish their book. They decided to do it anonymously to avoid the "aaaaaah our creator wrote the holy scripture" sort of situation. Except it didn't work. The reader's style is too different from the rest of the world, so even if they tried to simulate the flowery speech it wasn't effective.

Another thing. Reader who decided to read some local books to practice their reading. They asked for something simple and similar to their speech. But the only books merely similar to it are 2000 and more years old. It's funny how the older text is the more you can understand it. On this note. If reader write something i feel like it would be hard to understand for Teyvat's people.

Imagine a reader who is autistic or has any other NDs imparing their communication skills. They practically trained themselves to say sertain phrases in sertain situation. But it doesn't work in Teyvat. And everything just stacks at each other. Difference in speech, being a God (so people react weirdly to you), bad communication skills, not understanding nonverbal cues and so on. There's gonna be a lot of misunderstanding. I imagine how followers would walk on the eggshells not to upset and angry their God and reader who does the same not to say something people will get wrong. Again.

Reader who regained all their memories of creating Teyvat, they're super powerful and stuff. But they still struggle with the modern language. Because all the memories are like millions years old.

I put a decent amount of thought into the throne's designs!

In this essay I will-

Hootbons was the most difficult to design. Good thing I started with her's first!

Since her OC maple is a rubberhose cartoon, I went with a 20s technology theme. The 20s were a time of great technological advancement. Radio, Television, even Vaccum cleaners!

Just cluttering a bunch of 20s technology together didn't look very good, though, so I added maple tree branches along with animation themed items like pencils and animation cels.

Mushy's is just a slightly redesigned version of her throne from her execution. I added a few more mushroom types for variety.

Dia's was easy. It's just his crown as a throne.

Since I found 0104-vkta from her human Gangle art, That's what I based her throne on! You'll see a combination of the happy and sad masks in the middle.

Loxely's was also simple, she's a flower. I made her throne a flower.

Goose's is supposed to be a goose feather, but I looked up references for duck feathers instead for some reason. (also, I just drew generic bird feet instead of goose feet??)

since Rabid is a jester with a clown nose (a mix of a medieval form of entertainment and the more modern concept of a circus clown), I decided to mix a medieval throne with props you'd find in a circus!

Burrotello's throne was made reaalllly late in the game, when I had already finished most of the sketches for part one, but I felt bad not including her since she was the only new member of our discord at the time.

I went with a gothic theme for her's. I don't think her clothes can really be considered goth, but that's what I went for. Maybe it's the earrings.

You'll also notice that, unlike the others, she doesn't have anything on the backrest! I forgot it 😭 (this design element is an important theme.)

Just realised I forgot to include Ark-fork!

Her's was pretty simple, it's just a throne made of bones. There wasn't really any planning for this one!

Okay, so the backrests! Each of the thrones have a circular element in that area (except for Burrotello because I forgot, and Dia's and Mushy's aren't really circular, but you get it). They are meant to represent halos. If you look at the backgrounds, you'll see eyes on the balcony of the elite's seating section:

And, it's not very visible since the large thrones are covering it up, but there are wings on the back wall behind the elites.

Multiple eyes and wings are commonly attributed to biblically accurate angels

The elites sit high above everyone else, surrounded by angelic imagery with "halos" behind their heads. It is a very clear show of their hubris, of their willigness to play god not only with their AUS, but with their own audience, deciding who lives or dies by the wave of a hand (i.e. executions).

When I describe "the elites" here, I am specifically referring to how they are portrayed as characters in my comic. This is not a comment on the real people behind these sonas.

Snippet of something I tried to write years ago that never went anywhere. Remus Lupin X OC, Sirius Black scheming, nerdy flirting. kink if you squint

"Juuuniiiii" I could hear Sirius whine from the row behind, stage whispering to get my attention. Merlin, I just want to get this question done, can't he let me be for one goddamn moment. " I know you can hear me" Sirius shifts in his seat to lean closer "I need help with the muggle studies essay meet me in the Gryffindor common room?"

"Aye no, I need to run through new plays with my team" trying to focus on the work in front of me.

"tomorrow?" He looks at me with those stupid puppy dog eyes. Sirius doesn't ask for help, he's up to something.

I hesitate "Fine." What is that boy up to? I didnae think he studied, on a Friday night no less!

If I get one more look from one of these bloody Gryffindors I'm leaving, he's fecking late, I guess I'll help him some other time. I turn back to my book, try and ignore the gits walking by and gaggle of Third years giggling coming up with reasons I'm sat in their common room.

The amount of people in the common room dwindles, it's getting dark out where the bloody hell is he?

"Juniper!" merlins beard gimme a heart attack why don't you! Remus was stood at the bottom of the stairs looking equally surprised by my presence.

"Hullo, Remus" I swear this boy is getting taller.

"hi...sorry um not to sound rude but what are you doing here?" he stumbles over his words, how precious "I-just mean, 'cause you're a Hufflepuff ya'know?

"oh aye thank you for noticing, no I'm meant to be helping Sirius with Muggle Studies" meant to be.

"Oh, well he actually asked me to help him with the potions essay hence" Lifting the books and parchment in his hands.

"Funny. He's not in your dorm I take it?" Remus shakes his head, merlin those curls are bouncy. "well I'll just have to wait here to tell 'im off then" turning back to my book.

"Do you like him?" What? He quickly clarifies "Shakespeare I mean, well his work," he says clearing his throat.

"oh aye this one's my favourite 'taming of the shrew', bit problematic but it has some good scenes ." I wonder if he's read it. "I have to admit it's always better performed," I turn back to the page I was on and murmur "s'not meant to be read."

"What part are you on?"

"where Kate and Petruchio meet for the first time." I smile, hoping he knows why. It can be a hilarious scene if it's done right. He nods and I go back to my book, play? script, no um-.

"Good morrow, Kate for that's your name, I hear." Hmm, he knows the first line, okay let's see how much boy wonder remembers.

"Well have you heard, but something hard of hearing. They call me Katherine that do talk of me." I attempt to put on the character, probably a good thing I didn't decide to be an actor as a bairn.

"Liar." I feel myself getting warm as he looks at me, eyes boring into me" for you are called plain Kate, and bonnie Kate, and sometimes Kate the curst, but Kate, the prettiest Kate in Christendom, Kate of Kate Hall, my super-dainty Kate, For dainties are all Kate and therefore," he pauses slowing himself "Kate. Take this of me, Kate of my consolation: Hearing thy mildness praised in every town, thy virtues spoke of, and thy beauty sounded, yet not so deeply as to thee belongs. I am moved to woo thee for my wife."

Shite okay, pretty boy. I get up from my seat to stand in front of him just to be sure he cannae read my book.

"'Moved,' in good time. Let him that moved you hither, remove you hence." I feel myself smile a little as I watch him think over his next lines, "I knew at first you were a moveable."

"Why, what's a moveable?" He asks already knowing the answer.

"A joint stool."

"You're right, actually." his confidence falters as he hesitates on the rest o' the line "Come, sit on me."

I didnae think he was actually going to continue, well, I'm gonna have some fun with this one. I decide to do it and sit in his lap. Good lord, does he always smell like this? what is that, chocolate? line, what's the line. "Asses are made to bear, and so are you." I read attempting to regain my stubborn kate-like demeanour.

"Women are made to bear, and so are you," he says lightly patting my stomach. that smug mother fecker.

"Not by the likes of you!" I get up in an attempt to seem angry and not at all flustered.

Mockingly "Oh heavens, Kate, I wouldn't think of burdening you. I know how light and carefree you are." my he's really gotten into character, who knew.

"Too light for such a swain as you to catch, and yet as heavy as my weight should be." ooh we're getting to the fun bit, I wonder if he'll-

"' Should be'—should buzz!" he gets up off the lounge.

"Well like a buzzard, Buzz off!" he continues to move closer.

"If I'm a buzzard, you're a turtledove." He winks! what's this boy trying to do to me."Come, my little wasp, you're too angry."

Hmph well " If I be waspish, best beware my sting." I step toward him in an attempt to regain my composure. bad Idea.

"My remedy is then to pluck it out." he says, has his teeth always been this nice? Gods I wish I could wipe that stupid, smug look off his stupid face.

"Oh aye, if the fool could find it" I wonder how far he's going to take it, he clearly knows the play well.

"Who knows not where a wasp does wear his sting? In his tail." he's bloody close, merlin's beard.

"In his tongue." keep it cool, it is just a boy, wow he has so many little scars you wouldnae see until you get this close, they're faded, old.

"Whose tongue?" oh um-.

"Yours, if you talk of tales. And so farewell." I move back toward my things picking them up off the couch.

"What, with my tongue in your tail?"He's stood directly behind Merlin oh mighty "Nay, come again, Good Kate. I am a gentleman." oh my lord his hand slides down my waist, I smack it away before he moves any lower trying to stay in character.

"A gentleman? that I'll try!" whipping around to face him. Bloody hell he's staring into my soul I swear, he grabs my wrist and pulls me closer.

"I swear I'll cuff you if you strike again." Holy shit who are you and what have you done with boy wonder. No stop we're friends, but that cuffing thing dinnae sound so bad. oh crap, he's looking at me. you know kissing him wouldnae be a bad idea right now. If I just leaned forward a bit-

"Nice one James!" oh shite,

Remus and I quickly sort ourselves. Like nothing happened, hm."Oi, what happened to muggle studies hmm? what happened to 'oh please I'm failing I need your help' 'it has to be Friday night'?" I turn my attention to Sirius.

"I forgot?" of fucking course, I collect my stuff and proceed to walk toward the portrait hole.

"wait!" Remus stumbles over pulling on his robes "I'll walk you back if we get caught this late I can say I caught you out during rounds and am escorting you back."

"oh yeah, Mr prefect" I forgot about that." you hoping for head boy next year?"

"Nah."

Little did you know a certain metalhead was practicing what say in the car. "Hi-" he said as his voice cracks, which makes him groan with his hands in his face. He doesn't even know if you're even working today, what will he even say? Is he gonna embarrass himself? Well he can cross that off here been in his car for the past ten minutes freaking out over nothing. It's not like he doesn't talk to girls. Being the local drug dealer kinda makes him talk to them.

"Honestly I've known her for a while she's friends with Robin and she takes Matt of the shifts here, because she doesn't want to be at home." He gave him a weird look.

"That's very specific.. don't you think?" He told the light brunette. He shrugged, "Robin talks a lot.. but hey now you can start coming here because she works a lot!" He says smiling at him.

"And you wouldn't have ever known she works here if it wasn't for me!"

He's already parked, he made it this far. All he has to do is just go in, and he did.. very slowly. Slowly but surely, he opened the door hearing the familiar bell ring. He looked at the register to see if you were there, but surprisingly no one was there.

Debating on just leaving but, someone has to be here. Walking around pretending to take interest in.. these batman comics, yea definitely. He walked to the other side of the shelves and saw you. You didn't notice him at first, busy reorganizing. He slid back to the other side of the shelves. He had a game plan, he really did; but he didn't think you were actually gonna be there.

He took a breath in and out, he tried to be cool sliding out and lightly bumping into you. "sorry— oh hey Y/n!" He said to sliding his elbow onto the comics, and leaning on it. You chuckled, you knew he was here the whole time, the smell of cigarettes, a tint of weed, and cheap cologne, which was somewhat new.

"Eddie, hi!" You smiled at him. Ever since he saw you here he's been going to English every day, late but hey; he was there at least! "I didn't know you read comics?" You said stopping your working to face him.

"Are you kidding? Who doesn't like comics!" He said a little too loudly which made him clear his throat. You laughed "well that is true.. did you need help with anything?" You asked him. He gulped, "well I was wondering if.." he started, 'come on, you already started just say hi to the movies that all you have to say.. now you look like an idiot staring at her... And her pretty-' "if?.." you started again interrupted his thoughts.

"If you can help me with my essay!" He said loudly again. "Oh well.." you looked around and looked back him, "sure! Why not!" You smiled at him. And then he realized what he said "thank you so much, I'll definitely be gone this year." You gave a confused look.

"Gone?" You said with a worried look. "Oh yeah you didn't know? '86 is the year that Eddie Munson officially graduate's!" He smiled learning more twords you while crossing his arms.

You smiled as well, "that's great! You get to graduate with me!" He nodded stranding straight and broadening his shouldes. "Is there anything else you need?" 'think think think-' "yeah I need help getting a gift for the nerd. Henderson.. I think you know him." You chuckled, oh yes you did.. and you knew his birthday wasn't till may... It's October.

"Oh yeah I know of that nerd.. I usually see him getting something D&D themed.. and sometimes a new batman or spiderman comic..." You thought for a second. "Are you by chance on a budget of some sort?" He gave a blank stare. "Um.. anything as cheap as possible please.." he said rubbing his neck.

You nodded.. "I got it! Wait right here.." you said going to the back of the store. Rumming through the little boxes finding a specific item. And you saw a familiar blue and white cap. Bingo.

While Eddie was casually waiting near the register, whistling. "Found it!" You said walking up to him behind the register and handing him the hat. He examined it, looks real nerdy he thought reading it. 'thinking cap' with what looks like lightning bolts.

"I know he really likes blue and white so I thought that he would enjoy that! I was gonna show him when he came but here you are!" You rambled smiling at him. "This is perfect thank you.. how much is it?" You sighed looking at the camera behind you, and looking back at him.

"It's on the house!" He gave you a shocked look. "No— no, no. I don't want you to get in trouble.." he said pulling out his wallet. "Please take it, just say it's from me and you!" He sighed. "Thank you that's very nice of you."

You smiled "Of course.. so when did you want to work on your essay?" Ah shit he completely forgot.. "well, what about.. are you free tomorrow?" He asked, "I.. believe I am. If anything changes I can call you, my boss just calls me in at random times..." You said putting the cap in the bag, and handing it to him.

He nodded and took out a ten dollar bill. "Do you have a pen I could borrow?" You nodded, you always had a pen on you. "Not a pen but a marker." You said handing him the brush tip marker. When he grabbed it he noticed all the little doodles on your hand.

He took the ten dollar bill and wrote down his number. "Uh— isn't that, illegal?" He chuckled. "I think everything I do is illegal.." he said handing you the dollar. "Call me!" He said smirking while walking out.

btw salad what's ur opinion on eddsworld legacy?

For the most part, i think legacy is Okay. It's not the Best, but its nice to see so many people come together to finish off the show. I can respect all the work these guys did, especially tomska.

If you came for my option on the season and thats it you can leave, because the rest of this is me going crazy mode

My only real problems lie with only 2-3 episodes, and it drives me Crazy because they're By Far the most popular, so they've caused the most problems. This one question ended up becoming a giantic essay SORRY im just passionate about ebbworld

Keep in mind these are Just my options, I'm not going to look down on you if you're the number one The End Fan. If you like it then Cool, you can continue to enjoy it. And i can continue to hate it over in my corner

I'm keeping this section on Fun Dead short, mostly because it's not really the worst offender

The "Obliviously stupid to progress the plot" trope is so bad here. They've seen zombies before how do they not recognize them now. I get them being oblivious to super obvious things is the joke ,but its just not funny

For a Zombie centric episode, there's barely any Fighting. I feel like big fight scenes are what people like most with these. But no we get a 30 second montage, one that's not even animated

They are such wusses in this episode id bully them if i was there i think

The End. Don't even get me started on The End. Legitimately i have never seen such a botched finale in my life. Fair warning this is about to get long and angry im sorry

Let me ask one question: how come in the Finale To Eddsworld Legacy, the season Dedicated to Edd Gould and his work, Edd Himself does not play a prominent role? I'm not even kidding, you could write Edd out completely and Nothing would change. Ive heard people say this was Tomska going out with a bang before leaving the show, but from what i know he also wanted eddsworld to be completely over at The End. If that's true he could have atleast let Edd shoot the harpoon or some shit, come on

This is such a disappointing finale overall. They don't do anything exciting. We just get to watch a little "do you remember this episode?" Montage, all the sudden everything gets crazy then oh! Episodes over goodbye forever.

An end fight might have been more exciting had it been set up properly. They gave us the bare minimum, which was having tords stupid little gang tag appear a few times then having two of his coworkers/soldiers appear a few times. That doesn't hint at a Tord being an evil meglomaniac who's got a giant fucking robot hidden under the house

FUTURE EDD CAME OUT OF NOWHERE AS WELL, AND HE WORKS GREAT BECAUSE HE SETS UP THE LORE IMMEDIATELY. Tords return gave us Nothing beyond "he is manipulating them!!" Instead we get the book dropped on us halfway through the LAST EPISODE OF THE SEASON without ever being given any sort of explanation. That's just it.

ALSO FUCK BRINGING TORD BACK AT ALL. the dude asked to be removed from the show and what did they do? Hinted at his return like 15 times then had him come back as this manipulative mastermind, whos got a bunch of science stuff and a russian accent. At the bare minimum you could have writtten him to atleast resemble something close to Tord. There's literally more evidence that points to him being a clone than there is him being the real Tord, and it WASN'T EVEN INTENTIONAL.

Took a character who had left with all his loose ends tied up, brought him back with completely new unexplained info, then ended the show with both the original and the new loose ends untied. I've read this was Tomska trying to write Tord out of the show for good, but he somehow managed to do the complete opposite by leaving him at a LITERAL cliffhanger. Now all the 12 year olds are @ ing eddsworld begging he comes back for a redemption episode.

I could scream forever about the end but ive already said too much SORRY. This is why im just rewritting it myself to make it good

One last thing: its somewhat heartbreaking to me how Legacy has totally overgrown the classic episodes. Of the top Ten most popular videos on the channel, Seven of them are legacy episodes, with Edds three episodes being at the very bottom of the list

I just don't like it. I dont like how legacy has become like the Face of what eddsworld is. Maybe it's just because Edds work has been one of the biggest inspirations in my life (if that wasn't obvious already) IDK it seems unfair

Tldr: i dont like what legacy has done to the series and the fandom, but it's okay for the most part. Fuck The End though

this could be in form of doing assignments like I said but also bailing on band/sport practice because reader send him a nude telling him to come over or neglecting his needs to please them by performing oral on them until they come only to be send away ( and if he ends up cuming performing oral he gets made fun of and humiliated )

he doesn't know why he's so into them because on paper there's really not a single positive interaction between them but he really likes the way he gets butterflies every time they call him perv for getting an erection even though they rubbed their foot on his crotch in the middle of the busy library, he also sees the way they angrily stare every time a girl has the audacity to approach him, the way they go out of their way to humiliate this girl by spilling their drink or picking a fight with her

YESTER. I kind of went on a binge reading spree of ur genshin stuff oops .. but omg I never realized how good your characterizations are until reading all of your aus side by side??? LIKE, I already thought ur characterizations of the characters was good, but OMG reading ur aus just made me srsly appreciate them. I DONT GET HOW U DO IT??? u manage to keep small tidbits of canon lore or eastereggs in these aus, while keeping them kinda separate and distant from canon teyvat, but u also manage to capture and keep the characters canon personalities consistent while adding your own little yandere twists. WHICH IS SOMETHING I THINK IS INSANELY IMPRESSIVE, from my personal experience of writing yandere, I kind of get swept up in making them a yandere to realize it's too ooc for them until it's too late, but i have never felt that you have wrote any of the charas too ooc even once. WHICH, LIKE, HOW????? how do u manage to add these delicious subtle yandere tendencies to some characters and then the more obvious yandere tendencies to other characters while all making it fit with the character as a whole?? like I'm over here nodding my head like "yes, that makes total sense considering his personality 🧐🥸" sorry if this doesn't rly make sense BUT ITS JUST SO COOL. and I also really like how u keep your yandere headcanons for characters consistent / staying in character across aus while keeping them specifically catered to that au?? :P I DONT REALLY KNOW HOW TO DESCRIBE IT 😭 but the way u keep some of their yandere tendencies (like venti and his perversion LMAOO) consistent no matter if it's the academy au, househusband au, or hybrid au is really cool, and it's not overdone to the point that it's like I know what to expect?? see i'm quite conflicted because in the old art style, they're mostly drawn as kpop boys, and big daniel was just that hot body counterpart who's more of a model who's treated better because he's handsome (aka the point of lookism) than a fighter (how did we even get here?!)

but the manhwa became a fighting/martial arts manhwa so suddenly an influx of muscles 😭 big daniel's body doesn't change even if he eats a lot in that body, but illogically it can grow massive pectorals and biceps?! i feel like the entire lookism manhwa is just ptj's anatomy study sketchbook atp 💀

i feel like that's why as a reader too, the introduction of samuel & jake2.0 hits different (like finally some bara). for a long time we just had agile fighters like johan and eli and while nothing's wrong with that, the muscly guys were sort of something fresh for the readers.

i enjoy the nuances and differences in the design tho, the way some fighters are muscly and some w more athletic body types like johan, first gen dilfs built like bears, etc. (my only gripe is dg's art changing a lot, even his body type) feel like musclemen made more sense to ptj since they were on the countryside, and they were yapping about 'hard work' too much as in... physical work

jihan was just... uninteresting for me in the very beginning because he got that sleaze/playboy/teasing archetype and that's already being played by samuel. (sry im samuel lover, nobody shoot me nor even try to disagree. they jus have same vibes).

also the archetype, in my expert opinion (lol), is more effective clothed. (obvious biased, self-serving opinion bc character design is one of my fav aspects of lookism) (omg, maybe that is why this post got long)

Living dolls are brought to life using a spell, one that can create a soul to inhabit a body. Because this soul is artificial, you cannot interact with it in every way you can with a real being's. Things such as mind reading are very hard to accomplish, because as far as the ability knows, the doll doesn't have a mind to read.

To create a living doll, you must first establish a suitable vessel for the soul to inhabit, created by your own hand. It can be as simple as a humanoid shape crudely made out of yarn, or as complex as a life sized doll with realistic recreations of organs. You do not need to create every single joint, typically the spell will fill in blanks if you don't wish to spend the time stringing up anything that isn't the arms and legs. Some form of movement is required, however.

The spell will not always work as intended. At times, it will malfunction and bring undesirable traits to the doll's form or behaviour, causing disadvantages or potential danger. This can range from small things such as colour blindness and extremely sensitive hearing, to large, threatening things such as a devotion so strong the mind may become twisted, or the inability to lie without feeling like you are holding in a sneeze.

most parts involving ace i mean what? haha actual nonspoiler answer for pre-postgame is labradorra, i think it's hard not to just say "everything" i'm rlly fond of most of the story;; love shelly in labradorra so much;;, the different PULSEs are hella neat and manage to feel really unique despite basically being one after the other, i love the gang all pulling up and storming, it's just a really fun segment and i love the aesthetic of the map as a whole also tournament starlight colors was so pretty no bias

postgame i think lati quest, hoopa was a lot of fun, jirachi is maybe not your traditional definition of fun but gutted me pretty hard so i have to add that one, celebi bc first quest i worked on so more bias, and tao bc im biased once again

this answer is like 99% spoilers im sorry this is not a helpful answer but if it's a part people know def coming back to the city after it's rebuilt and seeing it all cleaned up and there suddenly being a ton to see and explore and it's all pretty was almost jarring the first time i played through and it still always makes me smile or the void the void is a good one

I'm going to surprise exactly no one and say I love the tourmaline arc- especially on Reshi but also on Zek, there's a lot of environmental storytelling out there and I really love the Train Towners

I've also got a soft spot for the entire glass workstation arc- I think the storytelling there is masterful.

Apart from that… I like (redacted: the maingame ending where Anna gathers everyone's good thoughts and hopes to help you reach Lin; that made my heart just shine), (redacted: Celebi), (redacted: Hoopa, that was a freaking riot), (redacted: dialkia because there are BABIES and also neat lore), (redacted: Darkrai, it's mean but in a very good way), (redacted: the entirety of Xernyvel. Noel my beloved; puzzle my beloved; Shelly my beloved) (redacted: tao, all of it) and probably other things I can think of when it's not almost 3am, but they'd all be redacted too. Oh yeah definitely the e4 too Victory Road itself was fun too but more because I liked the puzzles

I don't know if people really understand the effect simple things have on others. As a fanfiction author, yes I write my weird little stories for myself, but once you get a comment or a kudos or a vote or whatever it may be, everything sort of shifts.

It gains a sense of responsibility yes, but it also gains a new excitement. For example, we've all been that little kid scribbling away with a crayon. We're going to do other similar crayon drawings, but nothing feels as good as showing that little picture to your parent, guardian, or whoever else. I and the other authors/artists are that little kid with the crayon drawing.

If you leave a comment, I will always remember that. Even if it's just 'good chapter.' or 'im about to commit murder 😃🔪' or '❤️❤️❤️'. Authors and artists remember these things!! If you are one of the people who leave essay comments, I have to sit down and take a minute to calm down enough to have a coherent reply. You dear friend, are wonderful.

If you keep coming back or leave multiple comments, I REMEMBER YOU!! I may even consider you a fandom friend or in Tumblr language, a mutual! I see you!!!!!

If you make art, or a story of your own, or make a translation,,,,,, I would die for you. I save the art. I look at it. I downloaded it to my camera roll and favorite it. I read your fic. I comment on it as well. I recommend your translation in the authors note because that may be more convenient for people to read.

I try to express just how much it means to me that you did any of the above things especially the things in the last paragraph. The words don't word. I end up going, "I absolutely love it!!!!!!!!" And "jteaykrsktrsotaptd" and it doesn't work. Well, not entirely. That may send the message across mostly. You see that on your side of the screen and on my side, you would see me pacing, talking to myself about how wow that is amazing and so sweet and oh my heck I would die for you, and doing a weird jazz hands thing and putting my hand over my heart, and sitting down because I need a minute-, and I never forget.

It makes me want to do so much more. It makes me love my weird little creation that much more and grants motivation. I ALWAYS remember. And I think about it all the time. And when I post more I think, 'oh, I hope this meets their expectations and I hope they like it!!' And 'wow I'm getting better at this, I wonder if they noticed?' And 'wow I love and appreciate you so much!'

Even if it's a little thing, it means the world to us little crayon drawing people.

I find it,,,,, interesting in a disappointing way but entirely predictable that hes branding this new album as a "classic parx album!!!1!!1!" When this honestly sounds nothing like parx at all imo. Like even new, crappier parx has a specific sound/vibe to it where i can immediately recognize that its parx but this new clip honestly sounds like it could have been cooked up in a windowless board room for mgk (🤮) or new avril or m*d sun or one of the tiktok boybot "musicians"........ Like if it came on w/o me knowing who it was id probably recognize his voice after a while hut there would be quite a but of hesitation.

And im wondering, does he really get that virality (especially of the tiktok variety) just,,, doesn't last?? For the vast majority of people at least. Like even if you go viral in a huge way (not something thats going to happen for parx tbh) you're the hot new thing for a few weeks at most and then the internet moves on, thats just how it works. And the ones who really DO get their "careers launched!!!" or otherwise boosted off of internet fame are always the ones w large expensive support systems already in place. im talking like olivia rodrigo whos a disney child star, mgk or willow who have been established artists for a while, jaden w an x or whoever who was already rich and viral before he started "making music" and immediately got picked up by travis barker. Like sure there are regular ppl musicians that got big from tiktok like penelope scott or mxmtoon but they're not nearly as big as the other ones.

So like,,,, even if that somehow did happen for parx it really wouldn't be a huge win!!! You get dedicated fans who show up to concerts by actually WRITING GOOD MUSIC, not sound bites. Sorry for the essay, ik its all been saud before im just long winded and frustrated lol
