You definitely had some dual life going on in past life. Since childhood you were a shy person but I see you being a really genius kid. You chose to remain behind the curtain, you didn’t want your identity to be revealed but that project was solely yours even if another brand ambassador was able to market it better than you.

In this life, if you have an idea, then don’t wait for any opportunity, don’t procrastinate, I think you should see this reading as a heads up that you can create something again, you can create stability for yourself. OK anyway time to start, I feel that from a very young age you were forced to witness war in your homeland. You were even home schooled at home by your sisters and mother. Everything was really depressive as you were growing up but after a long time probably when you were in your mid teenage years, you were exposed to the free air and beauty of nature. However, I feel you could have lost your father pretty early in life and you were really attached to him, giving me daddy’s girl vibes. Your masculinity was well developed as you learned to handle responsibilities and emotions pretty well from a young age.

Times had toughen you but you developed this mindset to live, even if you were to die the next hour, you chose to live happily. You really have the party girl vibes yk like I can really see this scenario where you are cooking some country side dish, singing and dancing around like you live in a musical show. lol I really think that you would be a Disney lover in this life because you could relate it to your past life unconsciously.

You didn’t sulk looking at duties and how much work was left but I see you having this mindset that everything gets done on its own time and you lived carefree. Let me tell you your past life story, your house was on a beach or close to waters, you were probably the only child of your parents, life was decent and you liked to live on your own terms. You were quiet sexy in previous life because you might have way too many admirers who saw you secretively. You loved water, rain and waterfalls (it also could have carried in this life).

Many people of that town could be against the way you dressed as you could be a rebel but anyway you had a lot of people knocking at your door to tell your parents to rein you. However, you did not care. You could have a witch, or an earth angel in previous life who everyone wanted under their wing but you no one could grasp you and that’s what frustrated them to the core.

So your love story begins with a guy, a guy very different from the way you were brought up. You could have literally fallen for a cowboy whereas you were the city girl. He was your twin flame or soulmate whatever you prefer, you felt too strongly for him everything just disappeared and nothing existed beyond him. He was able to understand you in the most authentic way possible. What at that time was strange, he perceived you as normal and he accepted your strange ways of living. To him, you were his world and I think he was really aggressive about being with you. It’s possible you both ran away after a lot of hurdles of not being accepted and able to live together.

The way your past has been carried to your this life is through your relationship, you probably might have to go through a lot of breakups or betrayals in life to actually reach the one you are destined to be with. You might still crave the relationship like the one you had in your past life but no one ticks the boxes the way he did. You might explore too many options and weigh them in this life but it will take awhile to find him again.

Omg, I just wanted to say I ADORE your characterization of Al and Vox! I don't even have the words to express how much I love reading your stuff, especially the Anon responses you post on here. The behind the scenes thoughts are literally my food, lifesource, its so good when people not only write characters IN CHARACTER, but also include stuff about their analysis/understanding of the character too.. I'm literally obsessed with breaking down characters and yk, cracking their chrome domes open to see how they work (which admittedly, I am not the best at <_< but I love reading them). Just wanted to say how much I love your writing. I had maybe 2 questions, please don't feel pressured to answer them :>

What in your mind (in reference to the 66.6 fics) would motivate Alastor to let Val get close to him in the first place? Or was that more you picking these two characters up by the scruff of their necks and plopping them into a hypothetical scenario to explore their character and write some fun intimate thingsTM?

What do you think of the dynamic of Vox and Al vs something like Lucifer and Al? Personally I've noticed that something Alastor craves, behind the mask of his static smiling persona, is attention. He's (at least how I saw it) usually peeved when people don't care about his absence, and seems especially bothered by the King of Hell refusing to really acknowledge him, so he goes out of his way to push Lucifers buttons (like calling himself a father figure to Charlie, IN FRONT OF HER ACTUAL FATHER LOL) whereas with Vox, Vox is literally CONSTANTLY thinking about Alastor. Man literally interrupted his regular TV program to do a segment about how much he totally didn't at ALL care about Alastors dissapearance or the fact that he returned (suree buddy). So Alastor can have more fun with him and annoy him by ignoring and messing with him on purpose.

As for your questions:

1. I'm assuming that was a typo and that you mean Vox (but in case you did mean Val: that was just a funny accident of him walking by the room! Alastor wasn't paying enough attention until it was too late), and to that I say:

I think Alastor allows Vox to take a go at him in canon because he finds Vox's obsession with him to be entertaining, but also because Alastor is kind of a narcissist and that same obsession massively feeds his ego, especially in a political climate that otherwise forgot about Alastor. Vox's whole "Who gives a shit about Alastor coming back?! Haha, now let me have a public meltdown and short out power to the whole city about it! Oh, fuck, why is he back, though?? Can we send a spy in to find out??" is exactly the reaction that Alastor wants every time he mentions his mysterious absence and gets brushed off.

At the same time, Alastor doesn't seem to register Vox as a sincere and genuine threat. He's a big enough fish in the Pride Ring pond that his obsession with Alastor is gratifying, but Alastor's self-absorption also doesn't really allow him to treat Vox as a threat tier above "annoying in a funny way, and also television is stupid." (Perhaps this will change in season 2... :eyes: (or perhaps Alastor will get Even Worse) (please god let him get even worse))

So those two things in combination make Vox the perfect candidate for Alastor to experiment with while maintaining his ego and not feeling particularly threatened. Despite Vox's Safeword 101 talk, Alastor would never put stock into that system with Vox unless he was certain that he himself would be able to back up a 'no' with overwhelming force. Him even considering safewords in the Live On Air! series is less for his own sake and more a politesse he offers on Vox's request to warn Vox to slow the fuck down before Alastor tries to put his insides on the outside.

2. And in direct contrast, we have Lucifer...

... Who Alastor obviously actually cares quite a bit about, because he's a whole nother power tier from both Vox and Alastor, and furthermore and possibly even more importantly, a credible threat to Alastor's relationships and standing in the hotel. I think a lot of discussion I see about Alastor prodding Lucifer seems to talk about how quickly he got annoyed about Lucifer's comments, but that misses the fact that he was pissed off before Lucifer even showed up. He got pissy the moment he saw the welcome sign, actually! And I wager that he was narratively absent for the scene where Charlie actually calls Lucifer because he would have done his best to manipulate her out of doing so had be been there.

And given that the two clearly haven't met before (though obviously Alastor knows of Lucifer - and hates that the inverse isn't true, hah), it's not 100% clear exactly why he's immediately so annoyed, but in my personal view of things and barring something like "he's projecting onto Lucifer because his contract is with Lilith," I think that what we know of Alastor's personality points most strongly to "he liked being the hotel's benefactor and sees it as His Project, and doesn't like the idea that Charlie called daddy for something that she thought mysterious, powerful Alastor couldn't handle." He distracts a lot with obviously-goading comments about practically being Charlie's dad in his duet with Lucifer, but underneath that he puts a lot of emphasis on the work he's done for the hotel and the fact that he's been supporting Charlie and the hotel from the start, so why the fuck is this deadbeat asshole suddenly turning up?!

Tl;dr: Charlie missed her insight roll on Alastor's personal investments and he's sooooo offended - and taking it out on Lucifer!

I think one of my favorite things about both Lucifer and Alastor is that they both sooo obviously belong in the Pride Ring, hahaha.

Yk I agree with that philosophy that Arle is a "you belong to me" not a "you belong with me" kinda person. I also like the idea Arle is lowkey obsessed with her (and though it's subtle in OoR it's sprinkled in there ( ´ ꒳ ` ) ) I wish that it didn't get so long it lagged every word program I put it through because I think when I rewrite it, I'll lean into that more and draw out the time it takes for them to come to an agreement ( ◡‿◡ *) Possibly a mix of the two where her 'love' for Brighella is born of obsession, their relationship is probably in some manner unhealthy, but she may be able to learn to love her normally as well (I doubt either of these people are capable of a healthy or normal relationship LMAO)

Random fun fact to throw into this one: the differences in thinking about their relationship are also what prompted me to have her completely unable to understand why Brighella gave up so easily and generally have there be a disconnect between what Brig wants and what Arle wants for her (ノ*°▽°*) because those are two very different things

AnimagiC: Worth it or not?

I received the following PM the other day regarding Yuki Kajiura’s upcoming appearance at the German anime convention “AnimagiC”. I thought I would make a proper response post since I’m sure other people will be interested in this as well.

Hello Sarah! I'd like to ask your educated opinion about something, if it's not too much of a bother. I saw your post about Yuki Kajiura being invited to AnimagiC. I consider attending as this may be my one chance to see her and her singers perform live. I have never attended to such events before, so I'm not quite sure how things work. My question would be: Is there a realistic chance that not everyone who is interested will be able to participate at the concert? Since there are no separate tickets for the concert alone, how is it decided who goes and who doesn't if the venue reaches its capacity limit? Is it on a first come, first served basis? I realize that there will be multiple events happening simultaneously, and most probably not everyone will be interested in Kajiura's concert. Still, if I had to trample over others just to get myself a spot (and as a result perhaps they wouldn't be able to participate), then such a place is not for me. Obviously, I'm asking in general as I cannot expect you to know the details about the upcoming convention. I don't know whether I was able to convey my thoughts properly. Thank you in advance!

Key facts

AnimagiC 2023 takes place from Aug 4th to 6th at the Congress Center Rosengarten in Germany (it’s a 15-minute walk from Mannheim central station). With roughly 25k-30k visitors each year, it is certainly not the biggest anime convention in Europe or even Germany but AnimagiC has always been able to impress with its fancy locations and big Japanese guests. The current venue offers space for about 9k participants (not counting the surrounding area), the main concert hall can accommodate around 2,4k people and the second largest hall can accommodate around 1,4k people. No matter how you look at it, it’s going to be a tight squeeze during particularly busy hours. The 3-day-ticket is quite reasonably priced at €118 and is probably the best option for everyone who is coming from a bit further away. Typically, big guest acts have a rather packed schedule for at least two if not all three days of the convention so if you have the means, it pays off to attend on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. One thing I would like to add here is that the convention is almost 100% geared towards a German speaking audience so if you don’t know any German, it might be a little tricky to navigate your way around the whole thing.

First come, first served

The tickets for AnimagiC pretty much cover every activity on the schedule which is both a blessing and a curse. When everything is included you avoid a lot of extra costs but obviously, it’s all on a first come, first served basis so there is always a chance that a specific part of the program will be over-crowded to a point where certain people won't be able to participate. There's no way to buy yourself into any of these activities via fast-passes or VIP tickets so it really is a matter of prioritising where you wanna be and getting there as early as possible. This can be quite tricky when multiple interesting activities happen simultaneously or back to back. As of right now, the announcement of YK's guest appearance has had the biggest response on the official AnimagiC Twitter account so she will probably be the most popular act there, attracting huge crowds. Many hardcore and even casual fans might camp-out at a certain location for the entire day to secure front-row-seats or good spots in a queue so you have to take that into account when you are planning your own schedule. I personally wouldn’t recommend such behaviour because it’s incredibly rude and you risk missing out on a lot of other cool stuff but of course many people would disagree with me. As far as the concerts are concerned, I would wager it is possible to get a seat if you get there about 2-3 hours in advance but there’s no way to know for sure. My best guess is that the majority of convention visitors will most likely be distracted by other convention activities and only start heading to the concert halls once a big event is about to start. As long as you can outrun those crowds, you might be fine. 

Possible program

The organisers of AnimagiC won’t be releasing the full program until July so it’s difficult to predict what awaits us. However, based on past events, a few things are very likely to happen. AnimagiC typically schedules a variety of fun activities for their honorary music guests which definitely justify the convention ticket prices. Among those activities you can expect at least two types of live performances on separate evenings (one live might be a joined act with other artists). As one of the bigger names on the line-up, YK and FJ will surely get to perform at prime time in the main hall with very few simultaneous events taking place to ensure that everyone will get a chance to attend. There will probably be one bigger (more general) panel with several Japanese guest acts and another one that’s dedicated to YK and FJ (most likely including interactive stuff such as a Q&A or game corner). One thing that’s also almost always guaranteed at AnimagiC is the chance to get your hands on a handwritten autograph from all the guests. Keep in mind though that there are many different ways in which that can happen. In order to participate in signing sessions, you might have to take part in some sort of lottery and in many cases you will be required to purchase official releases/merchandise. Big guests might not even show up to a proper signing session due to certain label/management restrictions, they will simply write the autographs in advance and then later during the event, staff members will hand them over (this happened with Aimer last year).  

Overall, I can recommend visiting this convention to everyone who 

is a big anime/manga fan 

is located in Europe 

won’t travel to Japan any time soon

wants a chance to see YK and the FJ girls up-close

doesn’t mind chaos and huge crowds

i can tell the therapists in my program dont wanna use the word bpd nd idk. it just lwave s aweird feeling. like ik im not formally diagnosed and i also know bpd is incredibly hard to diagnose and also complex ans also u probably dont even rly want it written down but it was written down on my file for my past therapist. so its just weird my current ones dont wanna believe it. its rly confusing to me i feel ashamed to even bring ot up. i was talking abt splitting in individual session and she like corrected me kinda and said its trauma response. like yes splitting is often a trauma response too both can b true. its just really confusing but ik therapists have biases and the stigma makes it so fkn complex but i just feel really crazy and insane and like no one hears me. like maybe i dont present as someone w a personality disorder and also the way i describe past events i dont delve into all the ugly full details and its not oike im trying to lie and ill describe it but its like i subsconsciously water it down ig just so its easier to say? idk. idk im just crazy rn. but its making me feel rly bad honestly lol. ik diagnosis doesnt matter that much honestly when im already learning dbt skills and cbt and the program is stillhelpful bjt that aspect puts me off. and there's at least 3 other ppl in my group w bpd as well. I just feel like i cant eben bring it up around mental health professionals i feel like no one fucking believes.me. at leas tmy last therapist did and i still eben doubt her own opinion cuz she told.me "what were dealing w is definitely bpd" when i asked her and also said its on my file but she didnt tell me that til end of september so ive been sitting w that for a month and its hust confusing as fuck. ik i shld grt formally diagnosed maybe but i srsly dont trust mental health professions that way anynore and they r very hesitant to diagnose bpd anyway. that therapisf did think ihave it and say i did but yk im just really confused. I had a what if idea, where pitch just is a hikikomori (a recluse) and it does partially fit in with his character (at least in my eyes) yes im throwing out like, almost all the canon here but this is my idea and i can bend it to my will! ( ^ω^ ) also i thought changing the word hikikomori to pikikomori would be funny, yk switching a letter. i think its cute! and thats also what i decided to name this au, i also think there are like not many altercations with other spirits and myths with Pitch. he might’ve been out there and moving in the past but now he just stays hidden completely from sight, once in a while you’ll get to see or year about him being out but i think its mainly just the bare minimum for his existential. i think that some spirits (probably North) would be worried for him, maybe once in a while a spirit might hang out but not much, maybe drop of food or smth?

Hikikomori (Japanese: ひきこもり or 引きこもり, lit. "pulling inward, being confined"), also known as severe social withdrawal, is total withdrawal from society and seeking extreme degrees of social isolation and confinement. Hikikomori refers to both the phenomenon in general and the recluses themselves. The concept is primarily recognized only in Japan, although similar concepts exist in other languages and cultures. Hikikomori have been described as loners or "modern-day hermits". Estimates suggest that half a million Japanese youths have become social recluses, as well as more than half a million middle-aged individuals.

Although there has been a primary emphasis on educating family members, there are also therapy programs for the hikikomori themselves to participate in, like exercise therapy. I had an interaction yesterday w someone who ill call an acquaintance from my masters, we were catching up bc a friend from the same program was in the state and throughout the convo there were, moments where I felt this person just, avoided engaging with a conversation ab Palestine and it really came to a head when at the end they directly went into politics and were saying oh I’m worried trump is going to win again, to which I said, well from where I’m standing w the war (I was being generous calling it a war here but w/e) happening right now they feel the same to me (mind you we just earlier in the convo established that I am Arab and my family is Lebanese, not that you need to be to support Palestine but yk, I do have family and friends directly being impacted rn) and they respond with ‘yea I heard there was a moment where I heard we could’ve won the war in Ukraine but they cut the internet’ and I went yea that was a while back but, I’m talking ab the fact that our president is currently funding a genocide, and this person responded with,,,, lets change the subject, and at that point I got fucking PISSED I was fuming, I took time out of my day and drove an hour to get here just to be met with this?? I fucking hate small talk anyways and my friend, the one I came to see, idk her English isn’t great and she didn’t exactly engage either so. All together it just pissed me off, and today I realized part of what pissed me off even more was I felt fucking gaslit, like I was crazy for thinking that response came off as insensitive and borderline racist or something idk and me being the only person there to witness or be part of the convo felt even worse… there’s just something ab when a conversation goes in such a way where the act can almost be denied (?? If that makes sense) that makes it so difficult to deal with and I’m just, I’m fucking done. Oplo's wife has a younger sister, Junyi. Since Junyi's parents did not want to take responsibility for the child, Oplo and Jane essentially raised the younger carrek. He has done a little bit better bringing up Bekl than his younger sister-in-law, but it is honestly just luck at this point that Oplo's line of carreks can regrow fingers.

Oplo's family owns a chain of exercise equipment manufacturing and distribution. None of the other club members are sure exactly what Oplo does as employed by his family's company, but he lives comfortably and has his picture all over the company's promotional materials.

It has always been a point of great tragedy for Oplo that he could not visit his favorite place in the universe that he could never visit: Universal Orlando Resort. He was devastated to discover that Blue Man Group would no longer be performing at the best place on Earth. He started the Theme Park Club twenty-six years ago and has unanimously been voted as president every year (except 2017, when he voted for his wife, who did not want the position at all). After scattered acquisitions here and there, Oplo and his club members came up with the brilliant idea of scouting out an entire pirate crew to visit everyone's dream parks, experience it all on their behalf, and bring back merchandise to cherish.

Junyi was the result of a one-time liaison between a wealthy recently widowed woman and a high-ranking Galx official. The Galx official wasn't married at the time, but he apparently decided he had enough children from his previous marriage and entirely ignored his youngest in all manners except fiscal. Junyi's mother also stopped caring about bringing up a second kid after a decade, so her sister Jane (and later brother-in-law Oplo) brought her up.

It can't be said that Jane and Oplo did a fantastic job teaching Junyi manners, but she's endearing in her own way. Unfortunately, she has little regard for the comfort of others, and is terrible at apologizing when it is due. It can be difficult to get Junyi to stop talking if she takes a liking to someone, and she has little awareness of when she irritates others.

She goes by her middle name because her first name is after one of the worst characters in Pride and Prejudice, she doesn't like how her mom says it, and she likes to have her name started with the same sound as her sister's.

Both of her parents send her money regularly (out of guilt?), even if she is already an adult. Junyi wouldn't have to work if she didn't want to, but she has put some of that money toward advancing a career in doing what she loves... designing dollhouses big enough to fit people. Or as other people see fit to call those: houses. Her early career is going surprisingly well.

Junyi loves collecting things, and is the biggest Disney fan out of the club- beyond just the parks. She has a particularly very large Tsum Tsum collection. Visitors to the clubhouse may find Tsum Tsums hidden in locations where Tsum Tsums should not dwell.

Information:

Kjeuk and Qjun's families have been close for generations, helping each other grow their own wealth. Much of the families' occupations revolves around using money to make more money. Qjun thinks that investments and gambling are quite fun.

By far, Qjun is the most socially apt out of the leadership of the Theme Park Club. Unfortunately, Qjun is only good in social situations if he is presenting information. If you ask him enough questions, his eccentricity comes out. He's fun, and odd people gravitate to him, but Qjun's family thinks that he's kind of a loser.

Qjun is equally comfortable going by his full name "Toqjun" or the nickname "Qjun". Since Kjeuk uses the nickname, the secretary is usually "Qjun" to the club.

While Qjun likes theme parks, he is genuinely more interested in watching videos and having the merchandise than actually going to a park- and risking Galx coming after him and his sweet sweet money.

Qjun's weak spot is karaoke. You can persuade him to do anything if you do karaoke with him first. It's been bad for business.

While he is the secretary of Theme Park Club, Qjun enjoys the social aspect of the club more than anything. It's nice to be a part of a community of people that enjoy things and care so strongly about it! He likes to listen and do his part to keep the club going. Also they serve really good food at the club.

hi nothing extreme, just some AITA friend "drama" im looking for a second opinion on. hope ur doing well!

so i recently became friends w this girl and we've been friends for several months now. we met at a mental health awareness program and she immediately opened up that she had anxiety etc. on the one hand i was like it's good to just cut the bs and be honest but at the same time i was a little on guard that she immediately opened up like that yk?

our relationship (platonic) has been fairly smooth, but she will often text me (we live just across the street from each other it turns out) and ask to come over or for me to come over because she's unwell, either mentally or physically. 99% of the time i've been turning her down because i don't feel like we're on that level yet, yk? but i try to still show my support by offering to continue texting her and listening to her vent. but every time i say no she gives me the silent treatment for days and it's really annoying.

a few weeks ago i had invited her to a party i was going to, and she declined. when i was at the party, she texted me saying she had a headache, and i said oof. she asked for us to make plans for the weekend and i said yes. then she asked if i had a problem, and i was really confused, so i said no? and then she said "that was not kind" and that she'd been struggling the past week and i never checked up on her. i was so confused because i was like, how is agreeing to hang out not kind? so i was like sorry im confused, i said yes to hanging out this weekend?? and then the silent treatment began for a while.

today she asked to come over because she's sad. i said i have to clean the house in preparation for company this week, which i told her about previously. but then i offered to give her some coping tips to show that i'm not just trying to flake. and she hasn't responded since.

i know our friendship is kinda based off of the fact that i do mental health support stuff, and so i've really been feeling like i'm more of a therapist to her, or better yet, a firefighter. because she expects me to drop everything immediately and come running to fix the situation, when it's not my responsibility to begin with. i just don't know why she expects so much of me. none of my friends are as needy as her emotionally. (am i her only friend??)

i kinda wanna stop being friends with her. i feel like it's just unbalanced and communication isn't going to work if she's going to just ignore me. i know she's going through a lot, i feel bad for her, but i really feel like she's expecting too much too soon. i'm normally an empathetic and giving person but the amount of times she asks me to come over is frustrating and exhausting.

I dont think you're the asshole at all for that. I think she probably has no one to talk to or maybe feels more comfortable with you, and maybe has co dependency issues. Semi-rant bc I have been Vibrating all day, feel free to ignore

So, I'm a journalism major, and I wrote this article for a class (I got a ways to go before I publish it anywhere lol) ab a woman who broke into and stole from three different places last year. I haven't been able to get much information outside of court docs ab her or the cases themselves bc it's all ongoing and shit, but in one of the documents for a previous charge like six years ago, it said she was experiencing homelessness at the time. So, naturally, my angle changed.

I talked to someone from a local human service outreach program and the communications manager for the United States Interagency Council on Homelessness, and I included some data from the Department of Housing and Urban Development. I interwove these pieces of information into the story to explain how homelessness could and does affect someone's interactions with the criminal justice system.

As an aside, I don't know if she's still experiencing homelessness. I put down that she has experienced it, but I don't know if that's still the case (I can only do so much ab people nOT GETTING BACK TO ME). Given how the homelessness-incarceration cycle is (as I learned from the aforementioned experts I talked to), it wouldn't be surprising if she still is.

I finish the article, submit it, and then send it to my parents bc I love them and I want them to see what I do and I love them—

My mom says, "Looks good, sweetie"

And my dad says, "Nice job. Very compassionate. What are your thoughts about personal responsibility of their choices? I didn't see any mention of that. 🤷‍♂️"

...So let's sum it up, why don't we.

1. Ukrainian Ministry of Science and Education announced closing roughly 45% of universities in Ukraine because "there are too many universities and not enough students"

2. At the same time, they want there to be less students because they cancel the type of scholarship that covers your entire university fee; instead we'll have scholarship system that "covers up to 60% of study cost" (optimistically: we all know that's not gonna happen, let's be real)

2.1 Government-approved teachers and educators come forward openly stating that higher education should be "a ticket into high society", and are speaking in favor of "american-style" student loan higher education costs.

3. There still will be full tuition scholarships for professions of "necessary jobs for the country", such as teachers, doctors, etc. No definite list of what those jobs are, exactly, as of yet. However, those who receive full tuition will be obligated to work at least 3 years at their government-assigned job place. (So, no work in private clinics, no private schools - at least). This is presented as government "graciously" offering graduates their "first workplace". Afaik, no info how the said workplace is chosen, if it's possible to pick one that you're comfortable with or live close by. Rumors about it being mostly rural/underdeveloped areas with government offering place of residence, but I've only heard it once so I not convinced.

Which is, yk, the USSR-style system. USSR? The totalitarian country responsible for cultural and physical genocide of Ukrainians and countless other nations? The country Ukraine has been publicly decrying for years and trying to destroy all connections to? So I guess we're planning to destroy architecture and monuments from USSR, but at the same time we're returning back to the totalitarian system of communist dream prof education system and it's all fine and dandy?

3.1 If you fail to complete the contract that obligates you to work at least those 3 years, you will be sued and will have to return the money the government allegedly spent on "educating" you, including social and academic scholarships. No precedent has been set in case of lost of ability or death of the contracted graduate yet.

4. At the same time, the Ministry has announced they'll be making enrolling into university "more difficult" starting this year; I think this means less students accepted in general?

5. Multiple universities currently protest being "fused" into One, Bigger University (at least on paper) for alleged efficiency; this included a naval engineering university being fused with a pedagogical university, and a prestigious but smaller pedagogical university being fused with it's much worse performing neighbour and RIVAL.

6. All the while, education reform in Ukraine is staggering. They're announcing High School reform while our 6th, 7th graders still lack proper textbooks with updated material (which will be on the exams), and no data on when or if they will receive them. The program changes so often the teachers can't keep up and sometimes is outright incorrect.

7. The average salary of a newly employed/fresh graduate teacher is around 6k. You know how much groceries cost? Around 1k on the essentials, much more if you have special dietary needs like me (up to 3k). Then there's rent and utilities. Teachers with experience will get up to 10k, plus some bonuses, but it highly varies in region; my teacher once told me she received "just barely enough to live on" despite working for 20k years, so I'm guessing somewhere in 6-7k, too.

I'm tired.
