Arc-Noire?
Kali: ...
Jaune: Hello miss.
Garnet: Care to spare some food for some poor orphans?
Saphron: They don't let faunus work in a lot of places around here, so we can't get any money.
Kelly: *Cute puppy noises*
Kali: Ghira!
Ghira: Yes dear?
Kali: *Holding up the Arc kids* Can we keep them? Please? I promise I'll take good care of them!

Arc-Noire Omake; Songs for The Future!
We open to Jaune and Blake’s Junior High at night, with plenty of families in attendance for the Student Talent Show.
Peeking through the curtains, a 12 year old Jaune is able to spot his sisters, along with his dad, Nick, and his Step-Mom, a very pregnant Kali, and he smiles.
It had been almost 3 years since Blake and Kali moved in with them, and 2 years since the wedding. Not much has changed, apart from the fact that Blake now addresses him as her brother, and he refers to her as his sister.
He quickly retreats backstage as the next student heads out for their act, and he heads towards his friends getting everything ready to perform their act next, while Blake paces back and forth nervously, tugging at the hoodie strings of the sweater Garnet got her for her birthday.
Jaune(addressing her with a raised brow): Still nervous?
Blake(turning to him with narrowed eyes): You know damn well that I’m still nervous!
Blake(groaning as she grabs the sides of her head): Why did I let you talk me into doing this?
Keath(checking his electric guitar): Because we all agreed that you need to work on getting out of your comfort?
Kiba(checking his own guitar and the speakers): Because he offered to sing first?
Freya(smirking as she checks her keyboard): Because you know that you secretly want to show off?
Blake(glaring at their friends): That’s not helping!
Jaune(grabbing his instrument): Don’t worry, everything’s going to be fine, you’ll see!
Blake(sighing before seeing the instrument in her brother’s hands): Why do you have a violin while the others have more modern instruments?
Jaune(smirking): You’ll see.
Meanwhile in the audience;
Terra(sitting down next to Saphron and the Arcs): Sorry I’m late, it was a mess trying to find a parking space.
Terra(looking at the stage as the student finished their act): Did they performance yet? Freya would be annoyed if I missed it.

Hot Take
BUCK IS THE BEST PERSON TO GIVE DATING ADVICE TO CHRIS, HEAR ME OUT.
Okay, I know we're all laughing about women fleeing Buck and how awful he is at relationships, but I don't feel like that's true.
First of all, just because a relationship ends, doesn't mean that it FAILED. Dating is as much about getting to know YOURSELF, what you want out of a relationship and what your own boundaries are as it is about getting to know the person you're dating. It's about growing, and learning from your mistakes, and I feel like Buck HAS done that. I'm not saying he's a perfect dater (the Taylor/Lucy thing, wtf was that?) but also, he has gotten better.
With Abby, he grew from fuckboy Firehose to someone that is considerate and thoughtful to his partner. (I don't LOVE that we credit Abby for his growth, since he was the one that made the initial boundary to not meet up right away because he didn't want to fall back into that sleep with anything that moves mindset, but she is mostly credited with it canonically, so we're going to use it.) Also, she didn't leave because Buck was a bad boyfriend or anything. She left because she needed to find herself after her mom died, and that's it.
With Ali too, she left because of his job, because she couldn't handle being with a first responder, which is a genuine concern for a LOT of people. It's hard to love someone with a dangerous job like that, and not know if they're going to come home at night. It had nothing to do with who Buck was as a boyfriend.
With Taylor, that whole relationship was a mess, IMO, them getting together when they did was a recipe for disaster. Obviously, Buck shouldn't have asked her to move in because he was scared to tell her about Lucy, but I'm not saying he's a PERFECT dater, I'm saying he's learning, and that's what's important. When he did admit to the kiss, Taylor is the one that decided that it wasn't a hard line for her, or she would have broken up with him, living together or not. It probably would have been awkward and complicated, but it was all of those things when they DID break up later in the series. From this relationship, Buck learned that it's better to be alone than it is to be with someone for the wrong reasons.
He has had a lot of growth from s1 to the end of s6, and that is clear in his dating.
Now, everyone that's saying Eddie should go to Bobby or Chim for advice, I'm going to say this: It's easy to date when you immediately find the person you're going to marry.
Let me be clear, I'm not saying that Madney & Bathena don't have their own struggles within their relationships, but Bobby and Chim got pretty luck, they found women that they clicked with and then eventually fell in love with almost as soon as they went looking.
When Bobby decided he was ready to move on from Marcy, the ONLY person we actually see him dating in the show is Athena, and they end up married.
After Tatiana leaves Chim, and he decides that he's going to be himself and look for a genuine connection, Maddie is conveniently placed in front of him.
I'm not saying that either of them are bad daters, or bad partners or anything, but we don't really SEE them date. Maybe it's because they're older and they already know what they're looking for and what they can and can't accept in a relationship, but realistically, it's wild to think that you're going to fall in love and get married to the first person that you find when you start dating. The majority of people have to date around and actually look to find the person they're meant to be with, not magically find them right out of the gate.
Especially for a FIRST first date, it's all about figuring out how dating works, what is and isn't expected and acceptable and navigating getting to know a new person, as well as yourself, and I think Buck is the clear best option when it comes to experience about women. He's had several girlfriends and also convinced only God knows how many people to sleep with him, so he's obviously charming, and pleasant to spend time within a romantic situation.
Also, God knows nobody is asking Eddie for dating advice, since the man only married his girlfriend bc she was pregnant and then had to be told (BY BUCK) that he deserved to be happy in a relationship instead of sticking it out for everyone else.
Anyway, this has been on my mind ever since that interview came out with everyone making fun of Eddie for going to Buck because he's had (based on what we're reading about Natalia's character) 4 "failed" relationships, but again, I truly believe that a relationship ending does not automatically mean it failed.
Also, Eddie goes to Buck because they're CO-PARENTS & SOULMATES but all of this other stuff too 😂

Taylor Kelly rant:
She redeemed herself fully in season 4. She redeemed herself in each and every episode she was in.
She came back only for Buck to treat her like some trophy girlfriend and manipulated her into a date that wasn't a date all because his ego was hit. Still, she reached out to him to help her with a miracle (that made her cry on LIVE TV) because she knew that if anyone was capable of one, it was Buck. Together, they made sure no vaccines had to be destroyed and saved the day. Together.
Next, Buck went to her for the sole purpose of using her passion for work to convince her to help catch the person who hit Sue and kidnapped Tracy. She did everything she could do (even being detained by the police) to help Buck (and the victims) with what he asked. When all was said and done, she showed up at Buck's house to celebrate and when he thought they were celebrating her career, she said, no. We're celebrating justice for Sue and Tracy. Justice.
Those two instances alone have provided more growth than Tommy has been able to show (to no fault of his) and the fandom is out here making excuses for his shitty, sexist, racist, homophobic behavior.
But yet, the fandom still hated Taylor throughout all of it and bullied Megan so badly, Oliver still talks about it.
And before I get asks again, I know what Taylor did with Jonah was not great, but she was vilified WAY before that. You're sexist and misogynistic and like to fetishize gay men, I said what I said.

But romance novels have to end while everyone is happy enough with only the prospect of more happiness and only minor disappointments ahead. Poor Lavender Glass! Every time Maryanne Gorch sat down to write another chapter, another book, it meant more trouble for her heroine. More kidnappings, more misunderstandings, more sea voyages, more wickedness, bad luck, and suffering. Is a handsome man with an impressive dick and a good heart really worth all the attendant misery?

not a widower arc enthusiast but dean literally prayed for Cas to be brought back and called Cas “everything” and burned Cas’ body on a pyre because he was so sure Cas was actually fully completely dead. if you even care

Okay but I can imagine Hodgins breaking the coffee pot in the Lab and just replacing it with one of his big ass beakers from his lab. The squints won't notice or care for about a week until Cam gets aggravated and asks where the coffee pot is.
this happened regularly a couple years back, the coffee pot was replaced 3 times before Dr. Saroyan gave up, and now our coffee beaker (with a silicone handle for safety) is a permanent fixture in the employee break room. also how did you know that 🤨

Listen I will not take any Buck or Eddie potential love interest seriously until we don’t see the other like/approve of them. Because they are such a big part of each other’s lives and it’s such a non-negotiable that even if you want to factor romantic buddie aside you need them to be in good terms with the other’s partner.
I think the biggest indicator that Ana was a goner is that during 4x14 while Eddie is out for the count we didn’t see her have a single conversation with Buck. It could’ve been so easy, if you planned for her to stay longer in the story, to have them sit together at the hospital room, talk about Eddie and Chris, comfort each other, give Buck a “wow she really loves him, I’m so happy for him to have found her” moment. But instead her whole job was to stay at the hospital whole Buck took over the real parental duties and to call him so he could come running to Eddie when he woke up. That’s that. She didn’t get a single line while her boyfriend nearly died. She was never going to last.
Taylor? Okay so we know she had a bit of a grating personality and that Eddie wasn’t too keen on her since her very first ep, but they had chances too. During the treasure hunt, they could’ve easily had Taylor and Eddie work together, begrudgingly, and bury the hatchet by the end of the episode. Part as less hostile acquaintances. Instead they were confrontative and we got Eddie being jealous and feeling left out. Later on, when Eddie cooks dinner for her and Buck, it could’ve easily been a chance for them to bond, to poke fun at Buck together and discover they could get along. Taylor could’ve been unexpectedly nice and friendly to Chris, immediately gaining points in both Eddie and Buck’s (and the audience’s) books. Instead, we had Eddie smiling with a bitchy remark and Taylor not eating the food because Buck told her to eat first and that was the extent of it. They clearly didn’t care for each other.
So my point is that even if Buddie is never canon, Buck and Eddie are part of each other’s lives and until the show makes a real effort to show them bonding with the other’s partner in a positive light (think Chim and Karen, or Michael and Bobby, or Hen and Athena) UNTIL THEN I do not even consider any newcomer to have a chance to stay for longer than a season.

This might just be my favourite thing I've ever drawn 😭
I can't lie I'd actually been meaning to draw Kylo Ren with Miss Heed anyway (the fact that they're both my favourite and have such different aesthetics amuses me) but this trend gave me the perfect opportunity!
