At this point all of Seijoh is watching, waiting to see what's gonna happen

"Come on Toru-" "YN WILL UOU PLEASE JUST SHUT THE HELL UP!"

You snap back at your brother's shouting, eyes widening

"CANT YOU SEE NOW IS NOT THE TIME TO BE PARADING AROUND THE GYM YN! CANT YOU GET THAT THROUGH YOUR TINY HEAD OR IS YOUR BRAIN TO STUPOD TO COMPREHEND THAT WE DONT WANT YOU HERE!"- Toru yells, heaving as you back away

"ENOUGH"- Iwaizumi shouts, running towards you and Toru

Your eyes burn with tears as you back up, trying not to let the damn break

"YN hey-" Makki says as him and Mattsun approach

You and Toru look at each other, tears now spilling down your eyes

The realization of his words hit him

"YN, I'm sorry- I-"

"TORU OIKAWA, FUCK YOU"- you scream as you turn, running out of the gym

Kyotani gets up, running after you with Yahaba and Watari

Toru watches as the rest of the gym falls silent

Iwaizumi is PISSED

Like seriously PISSED

He's balling his fists up, steam coming off of him

It's so bad that Makki and Mattsun back up

"Kunimi, Kindaichi you guys should probably leave-" Mattsun says as Kunimi and Kindaichi run 🏃‍♂️ towards the gym doors

"Iwa, I know I fucked up ok, I- I'll go and apologize right now"- Toru says as Iwaizumi reaches for a ball, gripping it hard

"Oikawa you better pray Kyotani can talk her down or I swear to GOD you won't be leaving this gym ALIVE"- Iwaizumi growls

Outside of the gym, you sink to the floor, crying as the words run through your head

You and Toru had fought may times but never had it hurt this bad

He had said many mean things to you in the past but saying those things and in front of the whole team, how embarrassing 🥺

You felt someone slide down besides you as you looked to see Kyotani and Yahaba along with Watari surrounding you

"I'm not going to forgive him" you said, wiping your tears

"Nah we don't expect you too"- Yahaba said

"We were just checking on you kid"- Kyotani said as you smile a little, you're friends making your situation a little lighter

"Besides Iwaizumi has probably already murdered him and Makki and Mattsun are trying to hide the body" Watari added, making you belt out a laugh 🤣

"Come back with us, don't let him get to you" Kyotani says as you nod and stand up

You walk back into the gym and see Kunimi and Kindaichi waiting outside the doors, peeking in 👀

"What's wrong?" You said, coming to see

"Iwaizumi is so pissed off YN, seriously I've never seen him so mad"- Kindaichi said

"Yeah, pretty sure Makki and Mattsun are afraid to move because it might set him off"- Kunimi

Inside you see Oikawa on his knees, Iwaizumi standing with a volleyball at the ready, anger radiating off him

"Please Iwa-chan, I didn't mean to hurt YN! Please I know you like them and I really messed up!"- Oikawa pleaded

You stopped, walking into the gym at hearing that Iwaizumi liked you

"Oikawa!! I should kill you for hurting them! You knew how I felt and seeing them cry" Iwaizumi said, his face heating more

You walked up behind Iwaizumi and stopped

"Y-You like me Hajime?" You say, eyes wide and a smile sneaking on your face

"I-uh I- uh" Iwaizumi says, tone instantly shifting from rage to nerves

"Haji" you say, coming closer to him

"YN I LIKE YOU SO MUCH! IVE LIKED YOU SINCE WE WERE KIDS. THE FIRST TIME I EVER SAY UOU I THOUGHT YOU WERE THE MOST BEAUTIFUL THING EVER"- Iwaizumi said, word vomiting his confession

You stare back at him, smiling before you lean in and kiss his lips lightly

Iwaizumi looks at you and pulls you into a hug, swinging you around the gym

"I like you to Haji" you say before he kisses you again

The team watches in silent, all gushing at how happy you two are 🥺

Until Oikawa ruins it 😐

"This has all gone according to plan" Oikawa said, standing up and dusting himself off

Everyone just looks at him, confused 🤨

"Shut up Oikawa you didn't plan any of this"- Makki says

"Yeah you are just lucky it worked out"- Mattsun added

Iwaizumi is now growling at Toru who jumps back and screams a little 😅

You approach your brother glaring as he lowers his head in shame

"I'm sorry Yn, will you please forgive me" he says

You look at him, then to Hajime who nodds at you

"I'll forgive you on one condition" you say

"Anything yn"

"I get to hit you with a volleyball"- you say, smirking

Oikawa looks up and smiles

"Yeha ok, I'll take that" he says, probably thinking you can't throw with shit

But it's a good thing you've been studying the Iwaizumi Hajime technique all these years yn 🙃

The ball pelts Oikawa right in the back of the head, sending him flying forward as he starts to whine

"YN CHANNNNN" he cries as everyone laughs

"Nice arm sweetheart" Iwaizumi says, skipping your cheek as you smile back at him 🥰

He is literally so distraught you would have thought she died. You see him go through all the stages of grief except for acceptance. “She’s growing up too fast.” She’ll be like eighteen. Just doesn’t like the thought of losing his little girl. When she’s on her first date he’ll lay on you all sad as you stroke his hair.

“She’s really growing up, huh?”

“Yeah, she is,” you say.

“We should have a new kid then.”

“What?”

“Joking! Joking,” he’s not.

He doesn’t really care. He trusts your daughter and knows she’s responsible enough to make her own decisions. The way he loves you is an example of what she wants in life and he knows she won’t settle for less. So, therefore, when he meets the boyfriend he’s really friendly until he pulls the boy aside promising, “hurt her and I’ll kill you,” with a comforting smile.

Very involved. He will help her pick out her outfit for the date if you’re not available. Drive her to the location, giving her advice along the way. Keeps his phone on the whole time so that if she needs him to take her home, he’s ready to go at a moment's notice. He’ll ask her how it went and listen for as long as he wants to talk to him about it. His little girl isn’t so little anymore, and that means she’s not going to need him as much, but he’s always going to be there when she does.

weirdly specific aoba johsei headcanons

oikawa is a younger brother, but specifically in the way that his sister is like 7 years older than him (and she went to college), so he’s been raised as an only child (aka with his own room and bathroom, and no one else bothering him) since he was like 11.

iwaizumi is half filipino on his mothers side and he visits the philippines a couple times a year to see his cousins. he takes photos whenever he goes and makes sure he has photos of his cousins flipping off the camera to show oikawa.

hanamaki can play the flute, can ride a motorcycle, and can surf but can barely do basic math and confuses his left and right sides. he says he’s “focusing on real life skills” but that’s code for “i only remember what i want to know.”

matsukawa’s the only third year with a license, and he only has it because— since his parents were too busy working to provide for the family— he had to get it quick so he could drive his two younger siblings to places. he drives all the third years everywhere and pretends to hate it.

yahaba has a condition where his hair is naturally white, but he dyes it brown to fit in. he also started keeping it brown when he started admiring oikawa, and even started copying his skin and hair routines.

kyoutani has two pet dogs— one he found starving on the street and helped heal, and the other he found in a pound missing a limb— and he would die for them. most of the time when he’s skipping school, it’s for his dogs (or working a less than legal job to support them) but he’d rather die than admit that, so he keeps up the bastard persona(?) for it.

watari is the only person besides oikawa who has rizz, but he doesn’t even want it. watari has lots of girls flirting with him but he doesn’t want a relationship. he constantly brags to the third and second years about it and how he doesn’t even have to try.

kindaichi lives with his single mother and they are barely getting by. he’s a mommy’s boy but in a “i’ll literally die for my overworked, exhausted mother.” makki and mattsun noticed how he wouldn’t bring lunches, so they would be like “it’s so annoying how my mom packed me an extra sandwich. you can have it” or “the vending machine glitched and it gave me two bags of chips, you want it?”

kunimi has an incredibly strict schedule for sleeping and cannot sleep for more than half an hour without having an eye mask, tea, and either lofi music or asmr playing through his headphones. team sleepovers are hell for him because he gets constant (joking) shit about it.

wholesome headcanons (seijou edition)

kyoutani absolutely loves all types of animals

if someone needs to get ahold of kyoutani, their best bet is to start with animal pics

for all their insults and teasing, seijou is very protective of their captain and will fight a bitch for him (even the first years and kyoutani; especially iwaizumi)

one time one of the second or third years spotted him at the end of a crying session and they were ready to commit a war crime

praise from iwaizumi = the best thing you can ever get inside and outside the court and turns everyone into puppies wagging their tails and waiting for head-pats

even oikawa is aware of the power of iwaizumi’s praise

iwaizumi is not aware of the power of iwaizumi’s praise

kunimi is so perpetually tired so when a pillow found itself a home in the clubroom, nobody was surprised

kunimi is not the one who put it there but it’s got his name written on the tag, he doesn’t know who did it but he uses it consistently

watari is extremely chill. like he’s down for anything. chaos? sure. group nap? absolutely. beating someone up when they mess with kindaichi? why not. stealing someone’s dog? hell yeah

kindaichi is the baby of the group

pretty much everyone has the contact info for each member at oikawa’s persistence, so when mattsun & maki notice someone is having a rough day, they spam them with memes and aggressive praise

movie nights are a thing, at least every other week, typically at a third year’s house

everyone loves kindaichi’s mom

everyone loves kyoutani’s dad

oikawa’s nephew attends oikawa’s practice sometimes and iwaizumi knows that oikawa’s worried abt what takeru thinks of him, so he gets with the other third-years to makes sure to hype oikawa up and make sure he Looks Cool in front of takeru (complete with extra praise from yahaba)

watari regularly brings baked goodies to practice, he loves to bake and share

one time oikawa was having a bad day, so the next day watari brought milk bread per iwaizumi’s request

just. just non-toxic iwaoi and non-toxic seijou, okay

kyoutani has a pet snake named Honeycomb (any pet of Kyoutani’s has a cute name and yahaba thinks this is so hilarious and low-key adorable)

yahaba goes to oikawa for romantic advice (and for all his bravado and confidence, oikawa is secretly touched and gives him genuine advice)

yahaba goes out of his way to make sure yachi gets an apology from what happened during the warm-ups for their match in s2

the seijoh boys team movie nights headcannon

Oikawa always pick the movie, and Oikawa's choice is always and immediately vetoed. every time. he gets snack duty because 'you're our captain, your supposed to feed us' he sulks and complains and still brings the best snacks. he knows how to look after his team. Hanamakki and Matsukawa have either the best or worst taste in movies. very eclectic choices and its a toss up between the whole team actually enjoying it or both of them getting dragged afterwards for the poor choice. sometimes they pick a crappy one just to piss them off. they are always forgiven. eventually. the ones fighting over which action or monster movie is the best in the background are Iwaizumi and Kindaichi. it starts off easy and casual and pleasant but soon they're into it, barking about whose the better monster, whose winning in a match up against Godzilla. spoiler alert - no one wins against Godzilla. they arm wrestle for it. kindaichi never gets to pick the movie. Kunimi has claimed the only single armchair and is hiding with a blanket hoping no one calls on him. he hates it here. but really he's secretly smiling and enjoying all the drama. he pokes holes in all the movie plots and when provoked, will spoil an ending because he warned them. iwaizumi throws a cushion at him. Oikawa is asleep by the end of every movie, has drooled on at least two of his teammates and is conveniently still asleep when it comes time to clean up. they all know he's faking. they all let him get away with it. iwaizumi throws a cushion at him.

Kyoutani has a three week ban because the last time he was invited he threw the remote and broke Yahaba's T.V. Oikawa still invites him anyway because he 'likes to watch the world burn'. he also started the fire in the first place. Yahaba uninvites Oikawa. he rescinds it immediately. there will be no disrespecting our captain in this household. Watari's just vibing and enjoying the free snacks. he places bets on the arm wrestling and how long it'll take for Kunimi to ruin the plot this time. he's won money off them all. including Kunimi. he and Makki spend it on more snacks that they don't share with the rest of the team. they eat it in front of them all. Kindaichi steals some when they aren't looking. they all look forward to their team movie nights and for all their back and forth they are teammates through and through. they discuss their latest movie nights after practice and during school. it becomes legendary and a seijoh tradition long after they're gone. Kindaichi still never gets to pick the movie.

Kitagawa Daiichi headcanon that Oikawa had to deal with Kageyama’s poor grades

I’ve actually written this on my fanfic as a bonus chapter. It just occurred to me one day like, “hey, what if Oikawa and the others already knew about his low grades” or “Oikawa must be really proud to know that Kageyama is not an academic genius.

The excerpt’s for fun only, guys. Please enjoy and be aware of OOCness~

At Kitagawa Daiichi Middle School...

For some reason, their coaches have lost their backbone to admit that their talented recruit, the genius setter Kageyama Tobio, is not entirely a genius after all. Oikawa held the clipboard and looked blankly at the scores. They were all below 40, with some under the 10s and 20s.

He sighed, turning his attention to their other volleyball teammates. He was annoyed that the coaches passed on to him their responsibility. But this could also mean another opportunity to tease the hell out of his cute kouhai. Might as well, right?

"As per our coaches, exams are coming up," he informed. "And as such, the team won't tolerate members having grades lower than 40. You're all aware of that, right?"

Suddenly, the air grew cold, and the members were silent. While Iwaizumi was only waiting for what Oikawa would say next, Kindaichi and Kunimi tensed up, aware of who Oikawa was referring.

The pair glanced briefly at Kageyama, who suddenly lost his soul and the power to live at this point.

"I know our practices can be tough," Oikawa started, "but if you don't know how to balance your studies and club duties, then you won't be able to participate in the next volleyball tournament."

Afraid that Kageyama would 'die' due to lack of volleyball, Kindaichi and Kunimi decided to help the poor guy with his studies. Unfortunately, Kageyama was a tough one and the two have already lost their patience with him.

"Oikawa-san, you're the only one who can teach him," Kunimi pointed out, with Kindaichi almost begging him.

"Why should I? I'm a busy person too, you know." Oikawa was annoyed. For starters, he can ace an exam without reviewing that much. However, with his captain activities and uncle duties at home, he'll probably get stressed out trying to do everything.

"Well, think of it this way," Iwaizumi said, seeming to help the two freshmen. "You can shove it in Kageyama's face that you excel more at studies than him."

"Eh? But I want to see him suffer a bit more," Oikawa whined.

Kindaichi and Kunimi had a blank expression. Oikawa-san is really insufferable.

Well, Iwaizumi managed to persuade Oikawa, hence why the captain was pressuring his precious kouhai to answer the tests properly—and in the Kageyama residence, nonetheless.

"Do you really use your brain or what?" Oikawa asked, emitting a dark aura that could rival Iwaizumi's. "It says here to find the answer in the paragraph, not make up your own opinion about it."

Kageyama scrunched his face in annoyance and embarrassment. To think his friends would sacrifice him to a 'demon.' He mumbled something under his breath, which did not go unnoticed.

"Ha? You saying something now?"

"Why do I have to learn this, anyway? It has nothing to do with volleyball."

Oikawa's mouth twitched in anger. Ah, I see why Kindaichi and Kunimi sought my help.

He closed the textbook and said enthusiastically, "Oh? Then let your grades drop and forget about volleyball. Hm?"

The tension was intense between the two, to a point that Iwaizumi didn't lecture Oikawa for bullying Kageyama.

just a general note on soulmates

- so, in general, my soulmates will not be romantic or even necessarily platonic. - all soulmates are in my version are people who you're destined to meet, who will have a significant impact on your life. this could be romantic, platonic, hell even rivals or enemies - most people will have multiple soulmates - even if i did write traditional romantic soulmates, everyone would still have multiple potential romantic soulmates, it would just be a case of which ones they met - so, in the case of tobio, i believe Hinata would be one of his soulmates, the other 4 kitagawa students would be his soulmates, suga would be his soulmate, and tsukishima would be his soulmate. he may have other soulmates but these would be the main ones or the first i think of because i think these people are the ones that would have the biggest impact on his life - also, i feel like soulmates wouldn't have to be mutual in this case. like, just because someone is your soulmate doesn't mean you're also their soulmate. someone can have a huge impact on you while you can have no impact on them - also i have for angst purposes considered the idea of oikawa being kageyama's romantic soulmate. like kageyama is born with oikawa's name or whatever, but kageyama not being oikawa's soulmate, as in oikawa doesn't have kageyama's name. - so, in this weird version, you aren't born knowing who your soulmates are, but when you meet them, you just kind of have this feeling of knowing they'll be important that grows the more you encounter them. with every encounter a mark starts to form, something that represents them. this will develop bit by bit until the mark is complete every time you meet your soulmate. some of these marks may never be complete but they usually are. the size of the mark indicates how significant they are but they will all be significant. basically, you get a tattoo for each soulmate, and every time you meet a soulmate the tattoo is added to until it's complete - there is no rejection of this bond because it's not even like they'll have a positive impact. they could have a significant but negative impact and you'd get a mark for them the same as you would those who have a positive impact - you can't feel your soulmates' emotions or anything. it's literally just a mark and a feeling of "this person will be important to me". - of course i may play around slightly with other versions of soulmates but I'll usually indicate when i do this

aoba johsai pet headcanons

oikawa literally begged his parents for a pet bird when he was in middle school, even though he’s rarely home to take care of it (his parents take care of it). the bird is called tweety and oikawa’s private snapchat story (tooru’s hoes; has all of aoba johsei’s team and many of his volleyball rivals) has tons of videos of him making fake retro/beatboxing/2016 youtube channel intro noises while spinning his phone around his bird. the birds like “…🧍🐥🐦🦜 what is this giant creature doing.”

iwaizumi had a bulldog who he defends with the world. the dog will literally try to eat oikawa, forcing that poor man to climb a tree while screaming, and iwaizumi will be like “oh he don’t bite. he’s chill don’t worry.” the worst part is that the bulldog loves everyone else on the team but hates oikawa. oikawa uses it as a sign that either he’s too sexy for every being on the planet that the universe sent him a mere pet in spite of him or that aliens are real and sent this demon dog as a way to lure him away.

matsukawa has three pet fish; one for himself and the other two for his siblings. their names are, respectively; titty, princess sparkles, and sharknado. he’s disappointed that his siblings didn’t get the memo. he often spends his time wrestling with iwaizumi’s dog because of this. whenever the others brag about their adorable pets, he says ‘well at least i have a clean car that I can drive’ to shut them up. iwaizumi and hanamaki always respond with ‘well fair enough’ while oikawa glitches out of existence like ‘we- you can’t just- that’s not fai- i have volleyball!’

hanamaki has an orange cat that never gives him a break. the cat will hide inside the couch until hanamaki’s mid-breakdown searching for it while thinking it died or ran away. the cat has purposely shat on his laptop multiple times. his teachers are tired of the excuse ‘my cat destroyed my homework/laptop, so I didn’t finish the work’ but it’s always true. the cat has also clawed up $200 shoes before. hanamaki’s private snapchat story (‘satan’s furry little shitbag’) where it’s just him recording what his cat has done with the caption of ‘orange cat tings’ or ‘bruh ur scaring da hoes’ or something similar.

kyoutani has two dogs (as previously mentioned), and they’re both the sweetest pets in the world. he unexpectedly gets hit on a lot because he looks less threatening with two happy dogs dragging him along, and he has to awkwardly reject people while trying to play fetch with his dogs. multiples times he’s sat down in front of his dogs like ‘listen here guys. you are actively destroying my reputation. i need you to be mean, cold hearted, and ruthless from now on, okay?” and the dogs will just have these dumb, happy looks on their face while panting, and then lick his face. he responds by sighing and then cuddle/wrestling his dogs because they are the most important thing to him.

watari has an elaborate hamster set up for his four hamsters. it takes up a whole wall of his bedroom and there’s this whole wheel and upwards maze for them. he’s incredibly precise when he cleans the cage and feeds them. he brags about it often, and makes sure he has a hamster on his head or in his lap whenever he video calls someone. their names are turbo, milk, porkchop, and sticky. he let a random english word generator name them and then didn’t put any extra thought into it.

yahaba has that crusty white dog that’s prim and proper. he regularly washes it and feeds it, even though he’s upset that his dog started to hate him after he dyed his hair. he’s been like ‘even though my hair isn’t white, i’m still me! don’t hate me now!’ whenever he has to wash his dog. his dog also has separation anxiety so yahaba wakes up most mornings with his dogs ass in his face became the dog refuses to sleep anywhere that isn’t touching her owner (even after yahaba spent the money and put the effort into making a literally royalty passage/mini bedroom for his dog to sleep comfortably (yahaba now just throws his shoes onto it because he’s accepted that his dog will never sleep on it)).

kindaichi has no pets so he often visits this giant aquarium near his house. he’s gone so often that, more often than not, they let him in for free because they know all he’s going to do is stare at the dolphins for an hour and then try to over compensation financially for it. he’s gone so frequently that he’s been allowed to meet the dolphins in person and pet them. the dolphins adore him because his hairstyle reminds them of their fin. the employees see how sad he gets when he sits by the dolphins, so they started actively tutoring him on how to take care of them, in hopes that he’ll work a part time job there.

kunimi also has no pets, but he’s fine with that because he hates doing any form of work and also hates messes. though he does appreciate sitting in parks and watching squirrels run around because it brings him peace. he started internally naming all of them after his teammates after a while. out of the team, he favors yahabas crusty white dog the most because the dog loves attention and is fluffy, though he would never admit that out loud.
