fun story about this picture:
It’s located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania! I was showing my brother the liminalcore tag, and he said that this house looked familiar to him, so we looked up the street names shown in the picture. Turns out, this house is 5 minutes from my brothers apartment :) I just thought this was cool teehee

Hey people, help me to write an essay about liminal spaces.
Hi to my internet people, as you may have noticed liminal spaces are invading our feeds. You potentially have met them, those gloomy images, filled with childhood memories, empty hallways, malls...
I'm trying to understand how that feeling of being watched, of being in somebody's presence is settled in liminal spaces.
As you get more and more paranoid while you encounter one.
As if something is watching you, almost in an esoterical way.
Is it the immersion of childhood imagery into obscure ambiances that sets an uncomfortable sensation of nostalgia?
What about transitory places? Why are they troubling us when empty.
What about temporality? Liminal spaces seem often out of time, by their lack of temporality markers leading us to question reality...
There is a lot of other points I'd like to discuss, but I'd love to know your thoughts on that subject, your experiences in real life or with internet etc...
Let's engage via DMs or wherever you like.

Does anybody (especially people with dissociative disorders/anxiety) find certain formal settings offputting or weird? Things like weddings, funerals, big family gatherings etc.? It's like you're with all these people that you know very well individually, but they're all acting so similar because of the pressure to be "proper." To "not make a scene" or not to embarrass themselves. It feels like you're in this alternate universe with robots shaped like your family and friends.

Okay what is the result when you mix Cottagecore, emo/or alternative, a sprinkle of academia, and magic/special twinkling vibe, cryptids, liminal space, and the dark nature aesthetic????
