Okay I’ve seen SO MANY people say that Stanley and Narrator have dog & cat energy, and they’re RIGHT, however…

Unpopular opinion, bear with me, but I think NARRATOR is the one with the dog energy, and STANLEY is the one with the cat energy, rather than how I’ve seen it portrayed in the majority!

Why? Well, think about it!

I know the fandom portrays the Narrator as consistently annoyed at Stanley, but really, it’s just because the Narrator needs structure. In reality, the Narrator’s actual demeanor without the script is really talkative, and VERY passionate about his favorite things & what he does. He really gets into subjects when he’s going on about them— and he likes going nonstop! He likes to keep things moving, and he gets frustrated when Stanley stalls or doesn’t go the way he wants him to go. And he’s also shown to be quite socially dependent— the Narrator needs Stanley around, needs to have that interaction in his life, needs to have someone to listen to him! Even if he’s just being ignored, the whole ‘not listening’ thing is damaging! He needs to be social!

On the flipside, Stanley is (obviously) very quiet, and is completely content to do his own thing. This includes completely ignoring the Narrator’s directions and just being a nuisance in general. He does things on his own terms, much to the Narrator’s protests— the Narrator can’t make him do anything, ultimately it’s Stanley’s choice. A cat can choose to be friendly with you, but ultimately, it’s up to the cat, not you. And Stanley has proven that time and time again, he CAN be left alone and still survive to an extent— in the original mod area in the games ending, in the escape pod ending, in the epilogue, and debatably, in the infinite hole as well. Of course, the game resets after, but it’s not detrimental to Stanley in any way, while the Narrator has stated that he needs that interaction.

It’s interesting to think about for me because I continually wonder how the Narrator cat & Stanley dog interpretation came to be— though, if it popped up before TSPUD, I can see why it might’ve been like that!

Here’s my first post! Let’s go!

In my personal opinion, König is that social anxious person who isn’t shy and timid but the talks fast, says off the wall comments and fidgets a lot type. Just from listening to all his voice lines.

Anywho, here’s some headcanons I have for him. They’re pretty real life of how I think he’d realistically be. SFW and NSFW below the cut.

- He has to have a strong emotional bond and friendship with someone to want to be physically intimate with them and be in a relationship.

- He snores and talks gibberish in his sleep.

- Big nerd, loves video games and movies.

- Plays games like Call of Duty in his free time.

- Used to read a lot as a kid, since he didn’t have friends, and he misses being able to devour books in a weekend.

- Really wants a happy family someday.

- Unpopular opinion but he’s a dom. Sometimes a switch but he’s a big guy, he likes the control. He loves being able to throw his partner around with ease.

While I do really like Dave's character as it exists in the comic- no clue what version of Dave most of the fandom is talking about, but I don't know him- I kind of like the themes in Davesprite's character more than I do Dave's. It's another Hal situation.

Dave's character tackled a lot of things very personally relatable to me in ways I'd never seen illustrated before, but Davesprite is more interesting to think about, and seems a little more fun to write. Dave was great representation for me, as someone who grew up in a very bad home, but Davesprite just has that extra oomph with his talk of humanity and individuality. Really like that guy.

This may come across as crass, or stepping out of my own lane, but I don't think giving them either multiple sets of pronouns, neopronouns, or both actually rids them of the bigotry in their characters. Lipstick on a pig situation. It just seems like a lazy, incurious fix. Yes, trans headcanons are great, but more and more often I see people use it as a cure-all to the issues a character has, either in a Doylist or Watsonian way. Queer friendliness does not eliminate racism. If a character is a bigoted caricature of a specific group of people, then slapping on a leftist layer of paint by saying "actually they're a minority icon in this other way" doesn't actually... Get rid of the problem. It's just kind of... Tone deaf.

We see this often with Transmisogynistic Caricatures getting claimed as Gay Icons, and people just saying that because they've just claimed them as a campy gay queen, the transmisogyny has been nullified- you can't talk about it anymore, they're the real good leftist in the room, you're a killjoy, and they've defeated bigotry. Not how it works.

Kind of tired of how some act like her only character traits are Silly Ditzy Furry Girl. Jade is an incredibly, incredibly intelligent young girl, an excellent marksman, and so, so deeply lonely. We need to talk about Jade's chronic loneliness more.

Also, I think she's some kind of Psychotic. One of the flavors. It just feels right to me. It feels canon-adjacent. Or, at least, a textually valid way to read her character. I have a whole post about it somewhere. Mituna and Jade shaking hands on the Psychosis.

Taking this opportunity to defend Aranea. Some people really need to stop acting like she's worse than Vriska. We all know what Aranea did was justified. Maybe not correct, but justified. And fucking awesome to watch.

Like, look. She spent an unfathomable amount of years being shot down and ignored and belittled by people who were supposed to be her friends... Aranea had to literally pay Meenah, her own best friend, to listen to her infodump, and even then Meenah couldn't afford to give her own best friend enough respect to just listen to her talk about something she's passionate about for 5 minutes.

I need you to think to yourself, genuinely. If you spent thousands- and I mean thousands upon thousands- of years getting ignored and walked on by everyone around you, even your own friends... If you spent thousands upon thousands of years getting called boring and a doormat to your face by even your own friends... Wouldn't you go crazy, too? Wouldn't you snap? Wouldn't you want to do something drastic just to get people to look at you? Just to be seen as something other than weak and boring? Just to be seen as worth even an iota of interest, a shred of someone's time? Wouldn't you? Because I think any normal person wouldn't take thousands upon thousands of years. I don't think you would last a decade. I wouldn't either, and I'm a pretty patient person.

Y'all are just jealous you can't play billiards with planets using your mind when you're mad. That shit was so awesome.

Okay, this is less of an Unpopular Opinion, and more of an Unpopular Fact, but... Mituna doesn't just throw slurs at people. That's one of the things people jump to when they're talking about Defanging Mituna- they always say something about how he "calls people slurs every two seconds". He literally doesn't. That is legitimately not a thing he does. If you heard that before and believed it, you were literally lied to. That is straight up demonstrably not true.

Like, if you're trying to think of something Mituna does every two seconds unprompted, it's either sex jokes or apologizing. Slurs aren't a thing he just slings around casually. He said a grand total of one slur... To Meenah... And it's a fake troll slur. And then we get it defined to us... Aaaand it's the troll equivalent to "Cracker". That's it. That's the crime he's committed- calling someone a word that is immediately after defined to us as "Someone who is at the top of and benefits from the furthering of the oppressive Fuchsia-Down power structure, and the Lowbloods that help enforce it." That's the slur he used. That's what made people start declaring that "he would totally say the N Word" with full and complete confidence. Absolutely ridiculous. He's called no one else any kind of genuine slur. He just called Meenah a Wader once, and then she and Kankri got upset about it, because they are both, by definition, Waders.

Leijon Hot Take Party Pack: If you think Nepeta shipping her friends together is fine, or even adorable, but then sneer at or get grossed out by Meulin doing the same thing, you're a hypocrite. I don't care if you say "Meulin's writing Friend Fic, though, that's weird!!" the problem with Shipping Your Friends and Writing Romantic Fanfiction Of Your Friends is at the same root.

The problem with these things isn't the presence of writing, it's the presence of, you know, shipping your friends? If you're fine with Nepeta doing it, you've gotta be fine with Meulin doing it. Be fine with both or neither. It's the same damn thing. I'm pretty sure both friend groups are fine with it, too, so it's not like this is a boundaries issue or anything. Both or neither. Pick one.

I love Wangxian as much as the next guy, but my unpopular MDZS opinion is that both LWJ & WWX after the resurrection were really shitty brothers. Both to their own brothers and to each other's.

Like...JC just threw himself in front of WWX & his boyfriend & Jiggy's sword & took a stab to the chest just narrowly missing his heart, & Wei Wuxian DIDN'T EVEN ASK HIM HOW HE IS! I'm sure JC didn't want him to thank him, but totally ignoring that & forgetting about it is... you know, not fine. even LXC was more worried about his wound. After the temple, when everyone was talking to everyone else, & WWX thanked JC for giving Chenqing back to him, he doesn't even wait until JC's answer is fully out before he immediately turns back to look at LWJ!

Even JL who wasn't talking to JC at that moment saw that JC had something to say! But WWX not only didn't give him a chance to talk, but didn't even have any interest in what he had to say, and wouldn't listen to him just like all the other times when JC tried to talk to him (Repeatedly reminding WWX of his promise & even asking why didn't you go back to Lotus Pier). As you try to do, after you brother has returned from the dead, after causing his own death, your sister's and your brother-in-law's. WWX doesn't think that that's an issue that they need to talk about. Because it's unpleasant for him. While he is not the one who's owed an explanation or an apology. He's not the one who gets to decide if they're having this conversation or not. Let alone asking about JC's wound! WWX! just! Left! With! His boyfriend! & didn't look back! Like...Beating someone's family member in front of them is a very, very rude thing in general when they're themselves handling the situation very well. They were just having a family argument, and LWJ felt the need to beat JC. If you want to de-escalate a family argument, you do it the way JGY does. Or LSZ, A CHILD, de-escalates situations. While respecting both parties. Or else it just escalates even worse.

And this happened at the Jiang ancestral halls, too. WWX was the first to attack JC (which was totally within his brotherly rights when JC was being a little shit) and JC counter-attacked. JC's spiritual powers, unlike WWX's and LWJ's, hadn't returned yet. WWX totally got this. It wasn't their first time fighting. OK, LWJ deflected the first blow of Zidian. He didn't need to intervene further when WWX was beating JC in JC'S ancestral hall. WWX himself passed out when he realized wtf he was doing. (& bear in mind that hours ago, JC with his spiritual powers sealed, barely able to walk, picked his sword and was going to go back for WWX in the burial mounds, before he knew about the golden core thing)

Imagine your friend invites you to their home which they've ran away from when they were very young, their sibling that now owns the house lets you in even though you don't even say hi to them or acknowledge their existence there in anyway, & your friend invites you to somewhere you really have no business being in. IDK. Say, the master bedroom that's been locked ever since their parents' death. Your friend's sibling arrives there and they have an argument. You get offended in the crossfire but your friend leaps in to protect your honor, by beating the said sibling. The said sibling beats back. Can you imagine actually beating the sibling?! My unpopular opinion about the Grishaverse: the pursuit of Alina in RR did not make sense (at least when it comes to her power). Listen to me, the whole point of why the Darkling needed the Sun Summoner was to control the Fold, but in RR he can do that without her. So what is the point of the chase, if it's just about her power? Wouldn't it be easier for him to just get rid of her or imprison her in some dark dungeon? Either we don’t know something or (my opinion) he just wanted his disobedient wife back(which is actually confirmed by his last words😢)

I remember when Leigh had once said how the Darkling needed the Sun Summoner to sway public opinion and to use the Fold to his advantage.

By R&R I cannot see how he can or even wants to use her to sway the opinion of others because A) Alina doesn't want to partake in his plans (unless he threatens someone close to her) B) I don't think he cares anymore to sway anyone's opinion. By R&R, Aleksander is King and does what is necessary to bring a balance to this goddamn kingdom. He doesn't care what the public will say or what his enemies will say. If he has to use violence, he will.

And to use the Fold to his advantage. Hmm... Before chapter 9 of R&R I would say that "Yes, he needs her so that he can enter the Fold and use it without the volcra attacking him". But in chapter 9 he indirectly revealed his new weapon to enter the Fold without Alina's help. The lumiya.

So, just like you said, what else he needed Alina for?

Okay. And do what with it? He seemed adamant for her to take all three of the amplifiers and he said that she was destined to have them.

Unless another one of his goals was to destroy the Fold eventually after it had served its purpose. Realistically he wouldn't want it there forever because Ravka needed its ports and the Darkling wanted Ravka to prosper. So that may be one more reason for his determination to have Alina.

But, ultimately, I mostly agree with you. From Chapter 9 and onwards Aleksander wanted to have Alina as his companion mostly. And especially after his mother got killed, he only got more stubborn in his attempts so that he wouldn't be left alone in the centuries to come.

Break her and make her stay at his side. And he seemed really focused to do that.

probably was a one-time thing - a drunken mistake when he was visiting his ex in Suna or while he was on a mission

Shikamaru would not say anything at first, but his s/o would definitely notice his behaviour is somehow cold and withdrawn

they would at first assume it is the stress from all the missions he has been doing recently, but the longer it kept going on, the more worried they got

It was definitely his s/o who cheated and I imagine there are two ways it can happen.

one option is that he and his s/o were in an arranged marriage and his s/o decided to pursue their true love, thus cheating on Neji

if that is the case, Neji would be hurt not so much by the act of cheating, rather than the lack of respect their s/o had toward him and their families

like, he never wanted to be in arranged situation either, but he would never even dream of cheating! sometimes you just had to accept your destiny and live with it

he would find out without his s/o telling him and while he would not confront them, he would grow very cold to them

Neji would move to the spare bedroom and show up with his s/o only during family gatherings

totally the type to try and cover his s/o infidelity - he doesn't want any damage to his or his clan's reputation!

second option is that he was reluctant to make it official with his s/o due to the expectations of his clan and his s/o eventually grew tired of waiting and found themselves involved with someone else

now that WILL HURT!

he would try not to show it, but it would be obvious to the people closest to him that something is wrong - Neji would busy himself with missions all the time and he would lose a significant amount of weight!

I think he would definitely keep everything to himself till he somehow gets over it, but he absolutely hates his s/o now and would never fail to give them the nastiest glares every time he sees them.

No point of his s/o apologizing - he would not listen even a word.

I’ve been feeling so upset and down and sad. I hate that they broke up. I hate how he just left Lucy there. I hate how sad my baby girl is in this season. I need them back together, they are so great together. I am so afraid that it will take the whole season for them to reunite romantically and we are left in a chenford drought the rest of the season.

Let me start by sending you a virtual hug, we are going to need it for this journey. That last scene of Lucy has been haunting me… So know that you are not alone in this! As for them getting back together… Listen, this is probably an unpopular opinion (?) and not the one you might be hoping for… but I don't want them back together this season (and I can't believe I'm writing this).

What Tim is going through on a personal level is not something that can be magically fixed in one or two episodes. Otherwise, it just cheapens his storyline. He needs therapy - with someone who is not spying on her clients, by the way (speaking of, I really hope that he doesn't reveal anything incriminating to our resident psychiatrist, that would make things worse on so many levels). He needs to work on himself, he needs to learn to come to terms with his past so he can forgive himself. That's not to say that Lucy can't help him along the way in the future. But, at the very least, he has to start the work.

As for Lucy, she also needs therapy. She needs to focus on herself, to deal with everything that has happened to her in the last couple of months (if not years), to figure out where she goes from there and rebuild her confidence (which should not be dependant on the approval of others). It could be interesting to see her navigate this new stage of her life without Tim at her side. Ever since she started in Mid-Wilshire, he has been her one constant. He was her TO, her Sergeant, her case officer in her last UC mission, her boyfriend… There has been some periods of time without him, of course, like right after her graduation… or after she stopped being his aide… But this time, it won't be as easy to get past this hurdle. Or it shouldn't.

But doesn't mean that they won't interact at all. They still work at the same station and with Tim back on patrol (and as her direct superior officer), they are bound to bump into each other. So we should definitely have some pining moments. And awkward interactions. Maybe some angry words. What I hope, I guess, is that by the end of s6, they will have a meaningful conversation, where Tim explains to Lucy why he broke up. Because I'm not sure she understands why. Scratch that : I'm not sure she even has all the information. We don't know what Tim told her since we didn't see that scene (I'm a bit bitter about it). I think it could be a first step in the right direction. For both of them individually and for their future. But they still have a long road ahead of them. They need to work on their friendship first, before even thinking of being a couple again.

That's going to be the biggest challenge actually : finding the right timing to get them back together. Too soon and you risk ruining that storyline. Too long and your risk losing your audience's interest. I wish I had more comforting words for you, dear Anon. I still believe this could be a wonderful journey, even an empowering and beautiful one for the both of them. And at the moment, I'm holding on to that.

With this album, Taylor is effectively challenging and I would even say destroying the idea of her songs and albums being defined by a single muse. She does not and has never wanted her art to be defined by a man because her songs are first and foremost about HER: her life, her emotions, her reactions, her POVs of different situations, her mistakes, her accomplishments, her doubts.

The muses are just one of many characters and elements present in her art but they are not and never have been the defining factor. More importantly, she clearly does NOT want them to be the defining factor, and with multiple muses existing at once in this album and even in the same song at times, she's deconstructing that idea. Many songs could equally likely be about Matty or about Joe; even Travis is included in the stories. There's purposeful ambiguity and blurred lines in many lyrics which although likely a result of her emotions at the time of these events, they are also intentionally there to show that many muses coexist at once with all the other elements and characters of her art.

So it's not that there are no muses at all nor is that what she's communicating, I think if anything that she's letting us know that she has aquired many muses over her life and they exist in her art all at once. She's saying "No single song is defined by a single muse because I don't write songs about this someone or that someone; I write songs about ME". And I think that as fans we should not only respect that but also embrace it and consume her art with that in mind, bc although she has said that sharing her emotions and life through music is very important catharsis and a legit coping mechanism for her, she has also talked about how dehumanizing and hurtful it is to have her personal life dissected as if it was a guessing game, especially when there are real life people involved.

So yeah, maybe this is an unpopular opinion but I definitely think she's kindly calling out the fans about this and we should listen and follow her cue. At the same time, she closes the album with "now you have the truth, the stories belong to you", which to me makes it evident that if people are gonna talk anyways, she wants the "truth" to be out there amongst all of those narratives, which one could say is a way of caging herself further in this vicious cycle that has been there from the start of her career but I personally think it's part of setting herself free from it and aquiring the complete catharsis that she wants from songwriting.

It might be an unpopular opinion, but I think Megatron was needed to add structure on the Lost Light. I also believe that Megatron's role on the Lost Light was necessary for Rodimus to give a fuck about his crew. And I'll give some examples below.

While Magnus worked beside Rodimus on the Lost Light, Rodimus disrespected him left and right, downplayed his numerous issues, and acted like he wasn't a serious person. And while that's funny to the readers, Magnus worked like hell to be where he was and to be constantly disrespected by the captain is really awful.

Rodimus constantly downplayed the danger his crew was in, or involved them in plans that could get them killed against their consent (ie: Rung being a human shield).

We know that when shit hits the fan, Rodimus's initial thoughts aren't about the safety of his crew, but about how cool or awesome it is.

Only when Megatron arrives does he consistently start having to consider that he's running an actual crew and not a party bus. Megatron challenges all of his behavior that needlessly endangers people. Megatron ordered an evacuation before Rodimus did, he constantly validates and actually listens to Magnus (which is why Magnus actually appreciates him)., he takes the menial tasks on the ship seriously and consequently Rodimus had to do the same thing.

Most people tend to flock around Megatron on the Lost Light and not Rodimus because they finally have someone who'll take them seriously. And when the ex-Warlord is preferred over the actual Prime, than that's an issue with Rodimus.

He has thrown his crew members under the bus, dismissed their concerns, threatened them for speaking the truth, and much more. This all changes when Megatron comes on board because he forces Rodimus to actually take his job seriously.

And don't mistake it, Megatron does not care fully about these people. At least not initially. But his tendency to want to do good by them comes from the fact that he's a captain and because his survival depends on theirs.

Most people see the change in Rodimus and the crew's move to accept Megatron as a negative thing. But in reality Rodimus constantly disrespected them. Of course they are going to open their arms to the one person who actually appreciates them.

I will write more in-depth one day about just how badly Rodimus treats his crew, but for the safety of his crew, I think Megatron was needed

this might be an unpopular opinion but i actually like the relationship between clara and block a lot. obviously it’s a bit rushed because the second half of changeling route is Like That, but they are very endearing to me HEAR ME OUT OKAY

for clara, physical touch has always been something with SO much weight. whoever she lays her hands on has the possibility of dying, her very first quest is accidentally killing a kid by touching him. from that moment on she’s going around with these blood-stained hands, and she knows that touching anyone could have severe consequences. some people want to touch her because they think she’s a holy healer (like the crowd in the cathedral). others wouldn’t touch her with a ten foot pole. but she could never embrace or be embraced by anyone, not even her so-called foster parents. at the end of the day, she has to lay her hands on seven people in an almost mechanical way to transform their blood…

that’s why i think the final shot of her and block isn’t meant to be creepy. obviously it’s a little jarring because we haven’t had much development from them, but for once in clara’s life, someone is touching her, and it’s not to get something from her. for once, someone is physically embracing and protecting her. she has someone who really believes in her and wants to keep her safe (even if he does idolize her WAY too much in so short of a time). i don’t know, maybe i’m reaching, but i just think that clara deserves someone who will actually listen to and respect her… block is flawed but so is every other character and i think he could be so SO much worse

5 - ramble about a song

Ok. Adventure Time by Yoann Turpin. I am usually not too big on 16 bit video game sort of vibes but this??? Is such a MASSIVE exception. Holy????? THE HEART THE GUY PUT INTO THIS SONG MAN. The beat is just so unique, its impossible to try and guess whats going to happen in the song next, you strait up feel like you are on an ADVENTURE. I am so here for this song, god and its so upbeat I am in LOVE.

By the way, I linked the whole ass album because the whole album overall is so nice to listen to to pump you up when doing dishes or something lmaooooo, the first song in the album is also an amazing trip!!

HUGO KANT!!! God!!! mentioned above as well, I love Hugo Kant with a passion! He makes such good stuff just to chill too, and him live is absolutely incredible!

9 - a song you think is underrated

Phleps by C418!!! C418, the producer of the original music behind minecraft, but the guy has so much underrated personal music that is SO underrated! This song in particular, is vastly different from his usually stuff and I love it for that. Definitely underrated for being overshadowed by his work on minecraft and his work that isnt minecraft but sounds like minecraft..

29 - what do you look for in a song or artist?

I always look for something where you can tell it has genuine love and heart put into it! That + something that just sounds truly unique in its own right!
