brain dead moment

100 words out of 1000 and its due tmrw but i have to take a midterm during the time people are getting feedback so i technically don’t have it due but its also supposed to be submitted online but i really need to study for my midterm (same class) and i cannot function bc of all my other courses plus i have too much energy to sit down and write..

midterm Season is starting up, so here are a few reminders i’ve found helpful so far in college:

“if being hard on yourself worked, it would’ve worked by now”

stay hydrated! if you’re like me and you have trouble remembering how much you’ve drank, try to aim for at least 1 glass every hour

pomodoro method! this is especially helpful if you have trouble concentrating for long periods of time. YouTube also has tons of videos that act as timers and ambient noise (my favorites are the ones that let you imagine you’re in a coffee shop, or hanging out in the fictional setting of your choice)

this one always gets said, but sleep is the most important weapon in your arsenal. i’m an avid coffee drinker, but no amount of caffeine can replace a good night’s sleep (plus your brain encodes whatever you studied from short-term to long-term memory while you sleep, so it’s great for memory!)

HERES AN ARRAY. this will ensure that you have .2 seconds to study for up to 7 2-hour long tests on material that you definitely don’t remember and probably never understood anyway! what’s that? you like to perform and there are a lot of different opportunities to do that this time of year?
