A Witch’s Hearth: Finding Home in Nature
In our Disconnected, Urban World

To most witches, pagans and druids, the nature around us is as much of a home as our own domiciles. It’s healing to go out to an old growth forest, to bathe in the wisdom of beings who lived before you and will likely still stand tall when you are amidst their soil.
However, not everyone has immediate access to the lovely blessing of a deep forest.
I myself recently moved from the deep, lush forests of the PNW to just about as far south as I could go in my car, chasing the light that I need to function. The move has helped with my daily functions and mental health, yes—but I have been left feeling a bit lost without the forests of home.
Join me as I plan some ways in which I can adapt anew to the nature around my new home, how I may incorporate it in my magic, and how I may carve out a new spiritual hearth for myself.
Perhaps this can help inspire folks to tackle their own homesickness with nature, and to reconnect with the world in which they live (whether or not they’ve made a move).
Once again, please take this with a grain of salt—as this is just from my own experiences. I am not a teacher, I am simply recording my thoughts in the hopes to add my voice to the pot. With that, let’s begin! 🌿
A Deep Homesickness

The above photo is how I think of home. The deep green of the forest, the blue of the mountains on the horizon. Moss on just about every surface. The rich dirt that sustained it all. Were it not rainy and dark most of the year, I wouldn’t have left.
Now, I find home in a biome all its own. I’m living deeper into a city than I ever have, and I’m feeling isolated from nature. While the beach is close by, any deep woods that remind me of the edges of the wilderness up north are at the very least two to three hours away by car.
Though I have a hard time remembering this, it is not a bad change. Any plant that is uprooted from the earth it’s known its whole life is bound to feel a bit uncomfortable. But perhaps it can flourish if moved to soil better suited for its intrinsic needs.
Though my experience includes a physical move, this can apply to a homesickness you feel due to a simple displacement of nature in this society. Perhaps you aren’t seeing enough nature, or aren’t able to connect with what’s around you.
Let’s forge ahead to tackle this feeling of loneliness head on!
Finding Similarities

In our modern society, we’re left with a longing to return to nature—to our home. You may find yourself longing for a specific kind of view. Perhaps you’re looking for prominence of a particular element—like a roaring river to enact water or plenty of clover to help you feel the earth. The following is a list of steps to tackle this:
Make a list of things you want to see or things that would help you feel at home in nature. Think of your dream location when it comes to the outdoors. What does it look like? What features does it have? How do you feel?
Go online and find trails nearby with as similar to these features as possible. AllTrails has the ability to search for trails with waterfalls, forests, wildflowers, wildlife, etc. for free. Make good use of the wonderful web of resources provided to us.
Make an effort to connect with nature at least once a month, if you can. Be sure to pack for safety—and take a nice hike, or sit under an old tree and journal in your grimoire. Ground yourself and notice the seasons around you
In this way, you’ll help your soul settle and feel comfortable, which will help with our next steps.
Bring a Piece of Nature Home

Many times, it’s near impossible to find the time in our busy lives during the week to go deep into nature. Thus, we need to take this connection into our own hands, and build our own miniature wild sanctuary.
NOTE: Do not remove plants or creatures from nature. They are there for a reason.
Take inventory of your available space. Is this your entire patio? A shelf? A portion of your altar? A garden box? A whole backyard? Take measurements so you can better plan
Remember your list of natural things you enjoy. Brainstorm some ways to include them in this space. It could be a photo or painting of your dream location. It could also be an actual plant for a tiny breath of fresh air. If you have the space, you could plant a whole garden! It is whatever matters most to you. Try and incorporate your local biome to help enmesh the two worlds, if they are different.
Thrift and shop around to fulfill the needs of this space. The more you can get secondhand or from smaller businesses in your community, the better. You may even be able to ask your neighbors or friends with impressive plants for a cutting to propagate!
Consider the safety of any children or animals in your life. A lot of plants and flowers can be toxic to certain creatures. Utilize the web to determine what is safe for your situation.
Set up your space and enjoy! You may utilize spells or ritual to fully enact the space and help it to feel more magical, but it is really your choice.
For my family, we live in an apartment. We haven’t had a backyard in years. Still, we’ve found way to turn our patio into a spot of natural respite. We utilize a tiered planter in order to make the most of our patio space. Though we’ve included small flowers that remind us of our old home, we’ve embraced the biome we’re currently in and have an entire row of beautiful succulents. Of course, we also added catnip for our babies, and herbs for our kitchen witchcraft. We also put down these outdoor tiles from IKEA that mimic a lawn and wooden patio. On our table, we’ve put a hummingbird feeder to help better support local wildlife, and are discussing an actual bird feeder.
Embracing the Nature Around You

This is a step I still need to complete myself. When biomes don’t match up with how you picture nature in your craft, it can be frustrating! Especially if you’re in a fairly urban area, you may not have much access or choice in which nature you interact with.
Here’s the good thing, though: it’s all nature, regardless of how it shows up in the world.
Start researching your local biomes. Take account of your local parks and community gardens. Study the history of the land that you’re on, and how it played into the lives of the people that it truly belongs to (of course, do not culturally appropriate. This should go without saying). Explore native biodiversity. Find volunteer programs at local organic farms. Visit a farmer’s market. The list of possibilities goes on.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed or don’t know where to start, this is how I’ll be organizing my journey through this step:
Make a list of natural sights in your area that are easily accessible to you. I’m talking within a 30 minute drive or closer level of close. These don’t need to match up perfectly with your perception of nature—you may be pleasantly surprised in what you find when you open yourself up. This could include: parks, hiking trails, state parks, plant nurseries or shops, local/community gardens, farms that allow for visitors, farmer’s markets, local watersheds that allow for visitors, etc.
Visit these locations safely, documenting what you find beautiful and/or spiritual in each one. List aspects of local nature and how that could make an impact if you were to include them in your craft
Create a mini encyclopedia of local spots that you end up loving for days where you’re feeling disconnected and need a quick pick-me-up. You might even create a jar full of folded papers to pick them at random.
Increase the amount of local natural elements that you include in your craft instead of/alongside elements of your idealized natural space. You may find this area around you feeling more like a home or hearth than you ever have before.
Once you start practicing awareness in nature more and more, you’ll start to notice it in more places. This can not only help with your connection to your location, but can help you build your magical hearth in the energy around you.
Giving Back

Nature takes care of us, even when we’re detached from it in our cities. We need to take care of it in turn. If you have the means, find some way to give back to the nature around you if you so wish. Here are some ideas:
Give back to the plants with your energy, or make an offering of compost to replenish the soil
Purchase a Membership at a local zoo or aquarium that prioritizes conservation. This way you get to visit, too, while giving back! I love having memberships because I know on each visit I can really take my time and don’t have to rush about.
Volunteer to help reforest, or to help plant at a local garden. This can even be done by donation if you do not have the access or ability to physically participate
Consider giving homegrown herbs/plants to family and friends—or prepare them to help feed those in your community, if you have the means to donate
Teach others in your community how to properly dispose of waste and how they can help keep our natural beauty alive
Simply compost and recycle when the option is available to you
Etc. There is no one right way to do any of this! Just with your intent, you make your community a better place. Thank you for being in it

Don’t you feel like there’s been a constant shifting of aenergies lately? I haven’t been able to focus on precisely ONE single thing since the last Full Harvest Moon in Aries! Feelings, thoughts and emotions, as well as focus and priorities keep changing for the life of me! I think we’re collectively transcending and transforming the core of our beingness and habits… our ways of Life. So, ultimately, I think we will all be fine🍒🍀✨
In my last Oracle Alchemy on Patreon, I mentioned that the next series of PAC that was supposed to be Destined Person readings, was gonna be postponed and instead I wrote that I was going publish first a series of PAC on money, luck and manifestation. At that time, I couldn’t focus on Destined Person readings at all and it felt like the cosmic aenergies wanted me to prioritise readings on career and manifestation. Well, clown on me. I haven’t even finished Part 1 of that series and the aenergy had already shifted back to what was originally planned🤣
I’m sorry if I’m not making too much sense right now but basically, please expect a reading on 🍷Scent of Your Destined Person very soon some time this week🎉YAY!! The readings on money luck and manifestation are coming after all three Destined Person readings are published🍨
On another note, I also wrote on my side blog that I was going to resume daily readings on the last New Moon. Well, that didn’t happen🤡Seriously, I’ve been so spiritually all over the place I haven’t got it in me to channel readings properly🤣So on that note, I’ll do my best to resume daily readings on the next New Moon!✌🏻🦋🌈I’m putting all my faith in the upcoming Full Hunter’s Moon in Taurus to help me feel more secure and balanced in the material aspects of my Life😔
On that note, I’m confident this upcoming Full Moon will help me heaps in terms of changing my dietary habits… Y’know, Taurus rules over the throat and kitchen business LMAO I’m naturally skinny AF and don’t particularly struggle with ED of any kind, but I do realise now that my body is incredibly sensitive to certain types of harmful chemicals in our modern foods… If we could still call these things… foods at this point.
My fairy body can’t seem to digest well a lot of Human foods hahah Basically, I guess what I’m saying is that I’m learning to eat foods that would be good for my mental health so that I become subsequently less prone to anxieties and burnouts. I think foods are definitely related to healthy and balanced productivity🍱I’ll be learning all that for the rest of the year!

We are so very sorry to all of our extraordinary contributors and supporters, and this decision has not been made lightly. However, we had to stop work on the zine to protect our mental and physical health. Both mods have had years from hell, involving multiple deaths and serious illnesses. We are devastated and are devastated to face the untimely end of this project

📃: Ever written something inspired by someone else's fic?
two of my current wips have been! Both of which I'd vaguely started before I read the fics in question, but I've then very directly been reading the fic and had bits of my own wip materialise/gel and had to go write them - my angsty h/c porn-with-feelings Starsky/Hutch WIP Finding A Cure In You was inspired very early on by @actingcamplibrarian's The Ballad Of Handsome Hutch, and my Leverage Parker-centric thiefsome WIP, all that i want is a kind heart to haunt, was supposed to be in the 'temporarily paused' pile but reading @faorism's with a love so deep and warm and true rn keeps making me open up the doc and add bits anyway.
I'm sure there's published ones I'm forgetting, but- oh! wait! one of my favourite chapters from last year's advent calendar was, as i say in the a/n, inspired very directly by your Marriage Proposals And How Not To Give Them series
🎨: Show us a sneak peek from a WIP!
god i have so many too many wips. okay this is the last (fanfic) one I was working on this morning, you're in a state of disrepair, you're an answer to my prayers, which is set post-canon when Steve gets himself hospitalised while he's on his Mental Health Trip and Danny has to fly out to him.
Steve’s sitting up in bed when Danny comes in the next morning, and the first thing he says is, “You’re wearing my clothes.”
“Yeah, well,” Danny replies, only a little defensively, and draws Steve’s blue-and-white flannel tighter around himself. “You leave them with me long enough, I get custody.”
Raising his eyebrows, Steve pushes himself further upright, apparently uncaring of the exertion and angle on his cannulated arm. “I just meant you’ve got jeans on. But that is my shirt, isn’t it?”
“Oh. Like I said. Custody.”
Steve reaches out, and as soon as Danny gets close enough, grabs his wrist and draws him in. “It’s fine,” he says, soft and low, and his fingers slip under the cuff of his/Danny’s shirt, finding the pulse point on Danny’s inner wrist. “Suits you.”
Before Danny can start thinking too hard about the bucket of gasoline that’s thrown on the gently warming fire in the pit of his stomach lit in the first place by wrapping himself in Steve’s things, Steve has pulled him closer and- for one crazy moment Danny thinks Steve is about to kiss him, but instead he’s wrapped in one of Steve’s arms with Steve’s face buried in his neck.
The hug’s no less physically awkward than yesterday – more, possibly, with their right hands still joined between them – but Steve sighs, and sucks in a breath like he’s trying to fill his lungs with Danny, and murmurs, “Missed you.”

I agree that Nico sleeping around is 100% a form of self harm. All he is doing is putting himself in a vulnerable situation with complete strangers and then an even more dangerous situation back home with Toto. Like George, he also seems to drink too much. However it’s shown differently with Nico because he does so publicly, not caring that anything could happen to him whilst he’s blackout drunk. But the thing is does he actually care? Or is he so determined to destroy himself to try and hurt Toto that he doesn’t even care about getting hurt?
Nico really seems to genuinely believe he’s in control, but what was the backup plan if Toto hadn’t given a shit Jenson was there and still gotten violent? This kind of decision that was most likely made under the influence has done nothing but put him in a perilous situation. As we already from by the other desecration chapters, Nico ends up a traumatised, somewhat shadow of his former self, meanwhile Toto retains his power and status and gains a new younger man to mould and destroy so Nico never really won the psychological battle in the end.
I second the shouts for a chapter 3 if you fancy it! I’m so intrigued to see what the aftermath is here compared to how Toto dealt with George. It’s interesting to note how in the scene with Nico, he left the apartment before he could do something he would regret, compared to how he left after he’d let gotten violent and nearly killed George. Is it because he’s lost some of his self restraint over the years or the more likely option that he knows the best way to hurt Nico is not with physical violence, but to fuck with his mind? Would it hurt Nico more if he never even acted on it to his face, just took it out on him through the team and subconsciously?
Okay so, I think one of the most interesting things about this is how differently George and Nico handle it. George is very private, very afraid of jeopardising Toto and bottles up everything while Nico's suffering is very much explosive. I think according to the behaviour individuals exhibit from the beginning, people around them make room for that behaviour and it is sealed after that. A person who tolerates a very reactive individual can refuse to tolerate the tiniest rebellion from a very reserved individual. I think we can all see examples of this in our lives.
In my opinion, Nico cares about himself but doesn't have a good definition of what's good and what's not good for him. He probably sees his adventures as empowering and he is trying to hurt Toto but I am not sure if he is entirely aware of the fact that he is hurting himself more. I want to go into his self-hatred as a result of his behaviour in the next chapter maybe.
I don't think bringing Jenson was a carefully made decision and Nico gambled a bit here. And he probably thought Jenson would be able to protect him if things went south. Nevertheless, Nico never has and will never have the upper hand until his decision to leave Toto but even after that, there is a big mental health struggle in store for him.
I genuinely believe Nico is much more loud in his reactions to threats and wouldn't just take it like George did. I am willing to write chapter 3 for sure but I am just not sure when. The work is now called primavera and is on ao3, you can see it from the link in my pinned post. Everyone is welcome to share what they think by then!
I reiterate the fact that Toto doesn't have that much control over Nico, not as much as he does over George so he is more reactional than responsive. I also think Jenson being present deterred him from using violence a little too. Dear Jenson is not a small guy and he might have thought making a scene could be risky!

this is p much all a traumadump/rant about my mental hospital trip idk. warnings for shitty mental health care practices, as well as discussions of things like intrusive thoughts, suicidal ideation, transphobia, and misogyny. we stay silly, u kno how it is
i think my experience with being admitted to a mental hospital like. really really radicalized me when it comes to the mental health systems and knowledge and care here. and how fucking bad and ignorant and dangerous it is for those of us with mental illnesses and disorders. and like. maybe it does help some people! sure! thats great, im happy they can get help from somewhere! but like. for me, being a trans kid with an unsupportive parent as well as unsupportive peers, with debilitating mental illnesses that werent *just* being a little sad about something in school, things that affected every single waking moment of my life and caused me to struggle in sooo many areas that others around me didnt struggle with. i didnt need to draw fucking pictures of houses and learn about meditating or mindfulness in group therapy, sat next to guys who kept misgendering me, and getting served meals i physically could not eat because of my severe disordered picky eating. not to mention no matter how many times i told the food people to please stop deadnaming me to the whole room when they would bring meals, i felt so fucking isolated and ignored there. and the one time i did actually try to share my thoughts during group therapy, i was immediately shot down and dismissed with a response that i still didnt understand. (we were being told to think about our thoughts being who we are. i brought up struggling with intrusive thoughts, and that seeing 'my thoughts as who i am' was fucking terrifying to me, because i had SO many horrible, disgusting, gut wrenching thoughts plaguing me every day, and i so desperately didnt want to be told that those thoughts were Who I Am. i was a kid. i was a scared kid and they told me i just didnt understand what they were trying to say, and that they didnt mean bad thoughts. they also clearly had no fucking clue what intrusive thoughts even were, and made me feel like i was insane for having any kind of violent thoughts. i was very clearly uncomfortable but they continued to ask me to elaborate on what *kind* of scary thoughts i was having. it felt like a trap. i didnt feel safe at all. i felt like if i shared the kinds of intrusive thoughts i struggled with, then they would treat me like i was dangerous for having them, or like i *wanted* to do those things. meanwhile those thoughts made me want to vomit, they made me avoid my loved ones out of fear of acting on the thoughts, they made feel like it would be better if i was dead, because then the people around me would be safe. i was a scared fucking kid)
all of this is to say. the mental health care in america is so fucking abysmal. even just. keeping people who's jobs ARE SPECIFICALLY TO CARE FOR MENTALLY ILL PEOPLE well informed on mental illnesses is apparently too fucking much to ask. i dont feel like im expecting something impossible when i go into a psychiatrist's office thinking that theyll help me, and not. i dunno, tell me i should fucking smile more (this did happen to me. first fucking appointment. older male doctor, 15 year old me getting treatment for SEVERE DEPRESSION.)
anyways. ive ranted enough for now, its nearly 3 am and i need to go read my stories to calm down. (im so mad. i need to go home and touch my husband's tits so i wont be as mad.)

1. Distract yourself. Anxiety increases your chances of falling ill.  Listen to music or daydream about your beach destination.
2. Quit smoking. Tobacco is another irritant that also interferes with your breathing Talk with your doctor about the latest cessation methods.
3. Hold still. It’s especially important to keep your head steady.  Buy a comfortable pillow for your trip or use the headrest.
4. Breathe in fresh air. Give your stomach a chance to calm down. Stay up on deck on ships or open the window when riding in a car. On a plane, you’ll just have to breathe deeply.
5. Take a nap. Fatigue weakens all your defenses. Get a good night’s sleep before departing. If you can sleep while you’re in transit, take advantage of the opportunity.
6. Position yourself for success. Pick a spot where you can minimize the motion and conflicting signals. Ask for a seat over the wings on a plane or the middle cabin on a ship. Volunteer to do the driving or sit in the front passenger seat of the car.
7. Put down your book. Catch up on your reading later. The eye movements add to the stress.
8. Switch off the videos. The same is true for watching videos. Listen to an audio recording or talk with your companions.
9. Consider acupressure. Bracelets that press down on a strategic point on your wrist may be a helpful aid.  You can try it out by holding your thumb between the tendons slightly above your wrist.
Plan your next vacation or business trip without worrying about turning green and running to the nearest bathroom.

Covid Has Impacted the World's Mental Health
The ongoing nature of the pandemic has left many people psychologically impacted. Our brains crave certainty and closure, but with no end in sight for Covid, instead it creates a sense of unease, stress and distress. For many, the prolonged threat affects our ability to empathise and connect with others, narrowing our focus on being able to live our lives with ease.

There is also a tremendous amount we can learn from how we’ve responded to previous emergencies. Not everyone who experiences a disaster will develop a mental health problem: people can survive trauma well, but between 5 and 10% of people who’ve been through traumatic events such as a terrorist attack will go on to develop clinical levels of PTSD according to a study from the University of Central Lancashire. There are many we may not also know about.
The Research
Research in 2022 by the Centre for Mental Health, suggests that 8 million British adults and 1.5 million children will need mental health support in the next 10 years as a direct result of the pandemic. Office for National Statistics data already shows rates of depression doubling since the pandemic began, but this impact isn’t being evenly felt, with the people who’ve been impacted the most and are continuing to feel that impact are people who had pre-existing mental health problems, people of colour, those living in deprivation and young people.
Wearing a mask
Wearing a mask can be seen as a way to show care and consideration for yourself and for others. By protecting yourself, you also protect those who are still vulnerable or dealing with the aftermath of Covid. It allows individuals, who are still confined to their homes, to have the opportunity to reintegrate back into society.

Many are still hurriedly talking about the pandemic on social media. I have also never felt so isolated, exposed and alone as Covid continues to impact our mental health and how we feel physically. It would be kind if we were honest with ourselves on just how we feel.
It is essential to acknowledge the lasting impact Covid-19 has had on individuals and to continue to show empathy and support for those who are still affected.

*taps mic* ahem. i would like to thank everyone for gathering here today to celebrate the birth of our lord and saviour, kim namjoon. 28 years ago, his lovely parents graced us with his wonderful presence and brought peace to the world. if it weren't for them, he wouldn't be here with us today and for that i, along with everyone else, will forever be grateful. they've raised their son to be the amazing and inspiring man that he is today! this is where everybody says thank you to both eomeonim and abeonim for their hardwork ^^ 
how did you like my intro, oppa? was it good or does it need more work? ㅋㅋㅋㅋ it was the best i could think of since i've been sitting here debating on how to start your letter off. we aren't as close as i would like us to be, so i hope that by the end of this year and into the next that that'll change. regardless of that, you'll always be someone that i look up to and strive to follow in your footsteps. even before we met, i've always considered you as a role model in not only the industry but outside of that! you're such a kind and down to earth person, who has had to deal with my loud and maybe a little over the top self from the get-go. you never once have made me feel bad for being myself and you welcomed me into your friend group with open arms, which is why i've felt comfortable being around you and the others. not only that, but you protect & care deeply about those around you, especially the ones whom you hold dear to your heart. you've got so many inspiring and admirable qualities, so please continue to be yourself as you truly are a well-rounded person that everyone should aim to be more like!
i've learned a lot from you over the course of the few months we've known and spent time with one another. you're always so patient with everyone, but you're also never afraid to speak up when you deem it's necessary. it's one of your traits that i'm trying to incorporate into my life that i feel is important and will help me in the longrun. of course, that's not all! you've taught me a lot about star wars and games that i've never heard of. you never hesitate or grow annoyed with me while explaining, which always makes me more interested in whatever topic you're talking about. it just makes so much sense as to why everyone, including myself look up to you. 
happy birthday, namjoon oppa! i love and admire you so much. i hope that today is not only special but you feel just how loved and appreciated you are by everyone around you. you've impacted all of us in a way that you don't understand. you may not see it yourself, but i see the way the room lights up whenever you're around- even if it's only for a moment since you're always such a busy man! you deserve to be nothing less than happy today, but every other day as well. happiness looks really good on you, y'know? :] here's to celebrating more birthdays together in the future! i'm wishing you nothing but the best and i'm here to tell you that i'll always be by your side, rooting and supporting you!

When Obi-Wan gets to AotC, there's also about two dozen Anakin clones on-site. They're all girls because... IDK Anakin is trans. They have a hive mind and are developmentally a few years younger than Anakin himself.
It's incredibly unsettling to Obi-Wan.
It's almost definitely a "fuck with Anakin's already fragile mental health" ploy by Palpatine, along with a "what if Jedi Black Widows, for me, a Sith Lord. Wouldn't that be neat? That would be neat."
Anakin is torn between "this freaks me out" and "GANG OF BABY SISTERS LET'S GOOOOOOO."
(I just finished reading Like Real People Do by glimmerglanger, so this is definitely inspired by that and the obligatory 'lay back in bed and daydream variations on plot points of that fic you just really enjoyed,' and also a little by Same Heart, Same Blood by loosingletters.)
They're physically like 14-16 on average, and Anakin's vibrating out of his skin with a million conflicting emotions, but when he tells Padme she's just like "oh, you have a handmaiden gang!"
I told this to @willowcrowned and she suggested:
Once Anakin decides to repress the part of him that’s weirded out and just regard them as baby sisters he gets. A little strange about it The first time one of them dies he may or may not slaughter every person he can [in response to Padme's comment] Anakin starts worrying that he needs to get them cool matching outfits

Do you think the Clones have a kind of Collective Name that they use at first that eventually just kind of morphs into a new last name? Skysisters or something? Like Palpatine was trying to be clever and name them like the Nightsisters.
I initially went with "functionally one person" hive-mind but I'm torn.
I think maybe they're BASICALLY one person on Kamino but drift into Separate Consciousness once they're far enough apart physically that their minds don't blend from proximity anymore.
Then they start Dating (like half of them are dating Fett clones because they grew up with these dudes, it's like childhood friends romance), and Anakin loses his mind about Protecting Them and They're Too Young.
Padme: You're nineteen and we just got married, they can date. Anakin: THEY'RE EIGHT. Padme: And the Fett clones are ten and dying for us in the field. Get them rights before you panic about their love lives.

Like he's handing out Stupidity Coupons)

Anakin has so many issues about WHEN his genetic material was acquired.
And there's some confusion from the Fett clones about how much of a hive mind is normal for Jedi. They are confused that the answer is basically none, and "this is WHY nobody clones a Jedi"

Ooooo okay so if they have a sort of hive mind then they probably don’t have names other than their designations on Kamino right BUT When they SEPARATE The one that picks Boba up on Geonosis gets a name specifically for that. Okay what if the one Padmé picks up gets some variant on ‘pretty’ because she’s always being dressed up BELLE Maybe Yoda’s Ani has a name that means thief? Because obviously Yoda is using Anakin to steal sweets
So, to make the timeline work...
I don't think anyone would give Anakin one of his sisters until after he's knighted at least.
So obviously when they're doing initial placements none of the sisters go to him or Obi-Wan.
Once he's knighted, of course they're already all placed with someone, and Anakin instead gets Ahsoka. He loves Ahsoka. She is also a little sister. He said so.
At some point afterwards, one of the sisters is left without a place because the Master that was in charge of her died in the field battle.
That sister then gets placed with Obi-Wan, because he's already mostly-successfully raised one Skywalker, so he can do it again.
Anakin gets to hang out with her basically all the time.
Ahsoka is very very jealous of this girl stealing Anakin's attention.
Anakin is oblivious to the rivalry.
He asks Barriss to look after them while he's discussing Adult War Things with Luminara and Obi-Wan, and Barriss gets an eye into This Mess, which is quickly colored by Ahsoka growing a puppy crush on the lovely Miss Offee herself.

Ahsoka: Ah yes, my nemesis. Anisister: Ah yes, my new older sister whom I want to impress so bad.

Anakin is oblivious to most things to be fair Anakin: Laser focused precision fighting machine who can read the tiniest body movements and predict your moves seconds in advance, who also cannot understand even the most basic social nuance. I was originally writing this as to Dunk on Anakin but then I made myself sad, because none of those things are really his fault.
So you know that post about like, Sasuke and Brooding, specifically in the context of "Brooding" as it's used to refer to Nesting Chickens? Grouchy and protective and sitting on a tennis ball trying to hatch it because they're just. "These are my Babies." Anakin Broods. Baby sisters. Must protecc. "I'm actually fine and extremely deadly in combat." "MUST PROTECT."
Bad Guy: [catches Ahsoka in a Trap] Aniclone: Must rescue sister! Aniclone: [fights, is not winning fight, gets ouched] Ahsoka tearing her way out of Trap: I lived bitch. Also: stay the fuck away from her. [murders so hard]
Ahsoka catches the Protective Older Sib feels by the traditional method: "Hey, only I'm allowed to be mean to them."
Willow:
Oh Anakin has no clue what’s going on. He walks in on Ahsoka glaring at the Ani and is like!!! Little sisters!!! Bonding!!! When Ahsoka was about three seconds away from tossing her out of the airlock. Ahsoka mistakenly assumes that Barriss has a crush on the Ani, and gets even MORE jealous.
Obi-Wan is like oh god. I can’t take care of an Anakin going through puberty again. He’s great with periods and other stuff because he read about a billion books. He is TERRIBLE with everything else, as he was the first time.
Barriss is like???? YOU'RE BOTH CHILDREN, PLEASE CALM DOWN, I HAVE ZERO INTEREST IN DATING ANYONE, LET ALONE SOMEONE YOUR AGE.
IDK how old Obi-Wan's Aniclone is, probably physically the same age as Ahsoka?

I feel like the Sister Squad would make very effective interstellar espionage agents Even like, kind of by accident. They just get encouraged to branch out in their interests and figure out what they want to do with their lives and end up all over the dang place, and since they're all pretty dang competent they tend to gravitate towards Important Positions wherever they end up. Except for one sister who just retires to raise Space Sheep.
I like that in this AU Palpatine is just like "I will create an army of Loyal Murderers who will obey my every whim and also be a big psychological lever on my Other Pet Murderer," and then they all just Baby Duckling imprint on the first Jedi to be nice to them instead and he has to just be like "Wait no not like that."
AND one of them Steals Boba
I want Obi-Wan's Aniclone to start dating Fives. All the sisters judge her for it, because he's a Goof. A very competent, ARC Trooper goof! But a goof.
Not as goofy as Anakin, though.

I wanted to make a preemptive post about Hurricane Ida and the actual severity Louisiana and Mississippi are about to go through for the next 4 days.
For those who don’t know, hurricanes are measured on the Saffir-Simpson scale, which calculates the wind, rain, flooding, etc. of an approaching hurricane to estimate the amount of damage it will cause. The scale is based 1-5, with one being the least damage, and 5 being the most. Hurricane Camille, Hurricane Andrew, and Hurricane Katrina were all cat 5 hurricanes. The one I want to bring to attention though is Katrina, as most of the people who read this were probably alive and remember hearing about it when it happened.
Katrina hit the Gulf Coast on the 29 of August, 2005. When it was over the gulf, it was registered as a cat 5, but at landfall it was reduced to a cat 3. This is important because while the landfall category was a 3, the storm surge created in the Gulf was a product of a cat 5.
The reason I want to put this information out there is due to the fact that as of right now (9pm, Saturday, August 28, 2021) hurricane Ida is predicted to hit the coast of Louisiana and Mississippi as a cat 4, on August 29, exactly 16 years after Katrina made landfall and destroyed much of the coastline. While our region is equipped to handle hurricanes, these are still major catastrophic weather events, and will cause insane damage. Please please please keep us in mind over the next few days. Not only will there be major damage to the physical landscape and peoples homes, but the emotional trauma of having to relive the exact same situation (if not worse!) on the 16th anniversary of the most destructive hurricane in recorded history. As I come across resources, I’ll try to add them to this post, but I may lose service in the coming days (I know I’m going to lose power lol), I might not be able to, so if anyone knows of any places that could help please reblog this and add them! Any kind of resource would be incredible, but I really want to emphasize the importance of medical, mental health, insurance, and temporary housing.
While there are many groups and organizations that will already be helping the area (like the Cajun Navy, and FEMA), I really want to stress that out area still hasn’t ever really recovered from Katrina, or Gustav, or Laura, or any of the other hurricanes that have occurred since 2005, and especially now with Covid as bad as it is down here, it is going to be a long and slow road to recovery, so anything, even if it’s just you telling your neighbor about us, it would help so much.

— YOUR ENERGY TO APPROACHING THIS SCHOOL YEAR / OVERALL YEAR EXPECTATIONS. (10 OF SWORDS, SIX OF CUPS, & THE SUN)
your school year will seem very easy, overall. but i see that even though you will have a calm composure this school year, i see lots of internal & mental conflicts. i see that you will be expecting tons of “endings” or soul work happening. “turning your life around”. you guys will heading towards something this year in regards to your self-improvement or mental health. you will be taking your time this year, or at least try to look out for yourself more so you won’t be as stressed or depressed. there will be some major internal work that will cause some obstacles. maybe you are trying to work on your shadow self, inner child, or undergoing a spiritual journey. they will be tests the universe will be giving you. from your school life, to your spiritual/mental life. it’ll definitely be worth it. this will affect your life for the better. it’ll be a permanent affect on your inner self. some of you could be becoming witches soon enough. i’m not really getting much energy on your actual school life, to be honest. i think you will be focused on other areas this year. so i assume that your school year will be very fast, simple & easy for some of you. ok, spirituality is important this year. if you’re not planning on doing spirituality this year, i suggest you to because this will “turn your life around” is what i’m hearing…this year might be a rebirth for most of you people. but these endings & conflicts you will go through to reach this rebirth WILL be hard, so you can’t slack when it comes to YOU this year. you matter much more than school, i feel like some of you need to hear that. it might get to a point where you will have prioritize your mental health over school. so be careful & watch out. maybe you are experimenting with yourself this year. there i will be hardships before you undergo this new life mode ahead of you. you will be having tons of karmic lessons & tests this year that will try to break you, but the universe or spirit guides want you to fight through these. but if this is school oriented, you might go through trials & tribulations surrounding grades or performance efforts. the universe wants you to keep on going & improve. it’s just to test you.❕….it is possible that some of you guys could be ending a relationship or connection this year. this might break you & hurt you a lot. but the universe wants to you “keep on going”. don’t let this affect your school performance, please. take some time off if you feel like you need to….❕i keep on hearing “severances”, some of you definitely cutting something off this year. whether that be old habits, your old self, a connection(s), an old school?? something like that…i get that despite what you will go through this year, they want you to keep on going “hold your head up high”, & don’t let your “downfalls” break you…
some of you are going to feel really creative, kind, humble, & giving this year. i see you tapping in your inner child, doing hobbies you extremely love, & lots of physical activity could be possible too. you might spend lots of time around children for a few of you. family members are prominent here! maybe you will be around you extended family more, tapping into your home-life, enjoying these immediate connections 💗 you’re not gonna take your life seriously this year, just enjoying yourself. that’s great! keep it up! you’re going to be at home more often, but i don’t see you being isolated in a bad way to honest. you’re just grounding yourself, being more in personal comfort. your 4th or 5th house could be prominent in your 2021 or 2022 solar return charts. “foundations”, you guys are probably trying to connect or tap into your ancestral, emotional or family roots this year. wow…you guys will be in your feminine energy A LOT. i love that 🥲 you will be more focused on your connections with others & you will be easy on yourself & others. some of you might have been very detached individuals for your whole life. i feel like some of you are doing online school this year because i see you being at home A LOT. i don’t see it affecting your socially or mentally, just for the better. “taking time to yourself”. i guess that’s why i get such detached energy when it comes to your education.
your school year will overall be a pleasing & successful year. probably the happiest year you’ve had so far in your life 💀 “abundance”, “astonishment”. i see you guys feeling proud of yourselves at the end of the year for some reason. “keep up the good work!” i do see a significant romantic or friendly connection at the end of the year for a specific group of you. yeah there is a playful connection for a few of you. “teasing” yeah, take it how you want to take it 🧍🏽‍♀️
(KNAVE OF SWORDS) i see you being extremely versatile, & undergoing lots of “deaths” in regards to your personality & expression. you might be experimenting with yourself this year. your education will most likely be very organized. you’ll also be very analytical, & precise this year when it comes to your education. you’ll be very organized, & disclosed to it. your intelligent is linking to your mental health this year. which means, your mental health = your school performance. so take care of yourself in order to see greatness in your school life. don’t get distracted…

i’m hearing “wonky”, “off the radar”, or “confused”. that’s what i’m saying, you guys might not be as physically present this year at school. whether the be because of online school, or you will be busy with being alone. you might be seen as “shifty” this year amongst school associates. people might seeing this as “unconventional”. i’m hearing “off-the-roll”….”off-roll” WHY DO I FEEL LIKE SOME OF YOU ARE DROPPING OUT OF SCHOOL? 😭😭 or you won’t be in school this year, to be honest. for some reason. but for that other group, you’re just going to be at home very often. people might even start the think you just left the school or something 😂 “occupying” you’re very occupied this year for sure. people will notice that…you guys will be looking back on something this year too…you’ll be very reflection this year, really reflecting on how you are perceived by others, yourself or just on the past. the word “statutory”… take how that resonates? something with the law? or legal system? ayo? 🚶🏽‍♀️”accommodation”? something arranged? whatever, take how that resonates because i feel like this is for someone specific 👁👁
maybe you guys are doing therapy this year. maybe talking to a school counselor…something along the lines of a “recommended accommodation”… BRO I KEEP ON HEARING RECUPERATION. some of you are recovering from a illness or something. people are recognizing this at your school. maybe you are being sent to a special school or place to get taken care of? i’m hearing a mental hospital, or annex school….

i feel like most of you are in college, seniors, or older students in high-school. you don’t have to be necessarily but i get a energy of decision-making this year. i feel as though you guys will have to make lots of choices this year. maybe you are a senior going to college, or you are deciding on what college or career to pursue. i’m hearing the word “prude”. there could be some new opportunities involving communication efforts, or maybe a message of some kind will come through. it is possible that you be going through some sort of identity crisis, & you’ll trying to experiment with yourself. you might even get into trouble if you’re not careful with it too. make sure you aren’t getting deceived or taken advantaged of as well. i’m seeing a bear. you might in the process of gaining bravery to evolve & “take chances”, if not, i suggest you to do it. but don’t be too open to the point of being taken advantaged of. make sure you don’t distracted on your “ventures”, because i feel as though you guys have LOTS OF things to do this upcoming year regarding finances or something along the lines of. don’t procrastinate or have your head in the clouds too much. take action as quick as you can after a bit of thinking. make a move. make sure to not be stuck on one thing this year, you’re supposed to be trying all types of new things this year! 💗 you’re on the brink of starting something new this year, for sure.
i’m hearing financial windfall, financial decisions, & financial structure. you guys might need to be careful & take good care of your finances. i’m also hearing that you should take up finance & business classes too. lots of energy surrounding career & money. some of you might get financial windfall. “this summer” but i see some of you having some financial imbalance so be careful with finances guys. maybe try to get a job 👀 you’re going to be trying to balance things & juggle different types of things at once this school year, so make sure to get rest & don’t stress yourself 💗😊 also don’t make money in ILLEGAL WAYS. i do see some of you “partnering up with someone” or having some sort of business transaction. maybe you will having a tutor or mentor this year for school or something along the lines of that.
also, try not to be lazy or stagnant this year. don’t have self-doubt & be extremely self-aware. because you have potential to have an extremely successful & busy year if you go after what you plan to go for. also, i feel as though some of you have school year resolutions or something, like goals you want to achieve during the school year. yeah, don’t be lazy or insecure & do them 💥👍🏼 it is very important to be extremely mature & decisive this year for you. one more thing, don’t blame others for your failure & don’t act like a victim, is what i’m hearing.
(THE EMPEROR) yeah, step into your inner emperor this year. this year is all about having goals & expectations, being sure of what you want, going after them, & being responsible for your success. you need to be in authority this year over your finances, career choices, & your identity. it’s time to develop a strong character! be confident! time to have structure.

i feel as though some of you are getting jobs this year. you might overwork yourself a lot too. others will think that you are overly busy, & that you are “never rest”. you might cause others to be worried about you because of stress. you could be juggling education & a workplace. this might take a toll on your mental health, so be careful. i just see you trying to make things right for yourself so i see others thinking that you are very mature, “growing up” & taking responsibility this year. some people might even be proud of you for some reason. “congratulations” maybe for another half of you, you are recovering or “retiring” from something. maybe you coming out of something & others congratulating you. “zombie”, maybe you are finding independence again from something. maybe from a toxic relationship, mental health issues. i feel as though some of you came from pile 1, who resonated with the recuperation thing. maybe you are recovering from a family situation. “being content with self”.
i don’t know why i’m getting this, but you might see an increase in haters this year. people might be really interested in what you are doing this year for some reason. there might be a rise of popularity this year at school for some reason. maybe for your career or something? “i’m on the fence about it…” you can’t decide on something… “having your guard up” & “put your guard down”. some of you might have to deal with competition in the workplace or at school. you will want to have your guard up for some reason, maybe people are trying to invade your energy this year for some reason. “be careful” but others will be seeing you as very assertive & hard-working. people will see that you are backing down from what you want.
be careful with attracting jealousy. people are going to see that you stepping into your confidence & people are gonna want to invade you for some reason. some people this year might want the worst for you. what’s going on? you’ll be excelling in something for sure, but don’t be so insecure & don’t let others bring you down. people are seeing that you won’t back down so don’t let other influence your motivation & confidence.

words i heard: “brief summary”, “expectations”, “behind-the-scenes”, & “personal”. i feel either not much people will pick this pile & this will be a specific message for someone, or lots of people will pick this pile.
i feel as though lots of you will be away from the public this year for school for some reason. you might on your own, alone by yourself taking care of some things. people might not really pay much attention to you, or see you often this year. you might be developing some skills, is what i’m hearing. it is possible that you are focused on improving yourself so you can come back a better than you have ever did. you might feel a bit unrecognized or appreciated this year, to be honest. but i feel as though you are doing this for the sake of getting better & yourself. but for another half of you, you might be lacking confidence this year. you could be feeling a bit insecure & experiencing self-doubts for some reason. you could feel as though you don’t much motivation to do schoolwork or something. you’re going to feel unwilling to do things really. it is important to put effort into this school year & don’t expect much if you’re not really trying to. it is important to motivate yourself & make yourself feel good this year. because i see you will have some struggles with that. gain determination & put in effort please. i feel as though you might think you lack attention or appreciation this year, which might discourage you or something. you might have put your all into your schoolwork, building confidence, setting something out for yourself just for others not to recognize it. i see you possibly being frustrated. please relax this year. i see you being prone to breakdowns.
it is also possible that you’ve set expectations for yourself this school year. possibly very HIGH ones. & you might end disappointing yourself this year because of this. you might feel a bit useless or worthless because you can’t seem to achieve these expectations you’ve put into yourself. spirits are telling you to calm down. “you’ve did your best work. now relax for a moment.”, “chill”. it is possible that you will hurt yourself (mentally or physically) in the process of approaching these academic goals or whatever you are working towards this year. please don’t be hard on yourself, but also, don’t give up. take time to yourself if you have to, but persist & work towards what you want & do your best when you are ready to head towards these goals again. please gain courage this year, but don’t be stubborn to letting yourself rest. i hope you understand what i’m trying to say.
“hurdle”, “tackle”— you have potential to tackle this hurdle you got yourself into. whatever this ‘hurdle’ could be. i feel as though this is a small hiccup that you will try to turn into an intolerable detrimental, stressful situation. like you got a B- on your math test but you wanted a A+ & now you feel like it’s the end of the world type of energy 🚶🏽‍♀️ calm down. don’t become addictive either. don’t turn to certain things to “calm yourself down” & don’t become to obsessive over over-working yourself, over-achieving, & “getting things done at once” is what i’m hearing too. some of you could be capricorns or saturn prominents. mars/moon-saturn aspected folk? but i feel you guys always come out of your problems alive & STRONGER. so this is just a little hiccup the universe is giving you just to see how you would respond. i feel as though at the end, you’ll come into your own power & be in control again. whatever this situation it. you’ll be determined. “finally 😩” wtf? 💀💀 you’ll be relieved LMAO—sagittarius. some of you guys could be over-achievers or desire to be the best of the best in something. this could be career related too. take of your health too, you don’t want to encounter health issues.
overall; don’t lose your head this year. have discipline & self-control but don’t be immature. don’t be overly strict or judgemental to yourself & others. don’t be cynical or pessimistic & everything will be fine :)

i’m hearing “easy”, “lukewarm” & i’m seeing the color white, which represents cleanliness, purity, innocence & simplicity.
i feel as though some of you are coming out of a hard time, a rut and/or trying to rebuild a new reputation for yourself. you’re wiping out your old reputation into a clean slate this year in terms of how people in general view you. maybe you guys have been suffering from some sort of heartbreak, depression—you are trying to walk away from it & create a new persona of some kind. overall, i’m sensing a feeling of a new beginning & a fresh start. you guys are starting over on something, maybe you guys are trying to develop a more mature, disciplined side of yourself this year for school since maybe in the previous years, you might’ve have slacked off in school because of this immature nature. you’re definitely having a rebound right now, & people can see it. i do see some of you becoming more optimistic, forgiving & kind this year to others. and i see you becoming more well-liked than before at some point. some of you could be reconciling with someone or something too.
i see you being more cooperative to others this year. others will start to like more, definitely. “accommodating” yeah you’re more polite, kind, gentle, & maybe even approachable this year. you might find yourself attracting tons of people to you at school too. this might scare you or shock you too 💀💀 but i think your charm will increase a lot this year. you might even become more helpful this year too. maybe you’ll join humanitarian clubs or clubs that include helping others or being a leader of some sort. you’re going to be a mediator 💖
but it is important to not let your kindness get taken advantage of. i see some few people trying you 🧍🏽‍♀️i’m hearing “hostile”, “hostility”, “freedom”, “liberation”, “righteousness”, & “guaranteed”. i don’t really want to say this but be careful regarding your peers this year. i do see that this new reputation for yourself can eventually attract people who can take advantage of you & become very rude towards you. particularly best friends or someone involved in your friend group this year. you’re going to get a reality check of some sort. there might be a karmic lesson, or a small lesson that will be given to you regarding friends, relationships, or standing up for yourself this year? i see you being very confused for some reason. be careful not to get into any legal troubles this year guys…do not get influenced by friends easily. especially when you feel as though they don’t have the best intentions, you have to keep an eye out this time around. you don’t really know who’s real & who isn’t. you should know what’s right & what’s wrong. don’t let anyone try to confuse your morality, at ALL. you do what truly feels right for you ⭐️ you should stay realistic this year in terms of your peers & friends. i can see you being extremely susceptible to being influenced by them, so please be careful. “justice”. i don’t really know how to interpret this to be honest 💀 i got the seven of wands to clarify. you’re going to need to stand for yourself A LOT this school year. you need to be careful around your peers & friends because i see some people trying to take advantage of you & influence you for the worst. you NEED to stick to your personal morals & knows what’s right & wrong for your own good. so you don’t get yourself into any trouble. another way this can go, is harassment. but let’s not manifest this energy 😟🙏🏼 but just stand up for yourself & your morals this year. be yourself & have courage. do what you feel as though you NEED to do, be brave. “step up to the plate” because i feel these people who are doing these things to you ARE going to get justice & receive their karma, so it’s best to do what you feel like you need to do & let the universe take care of it. “you’re divinely protected”—for some of you 😏😏🎉 it’s just all about standing for yourself, guarding yourself, & developing confidence this year.

i do see you guys being isolated this year for school. i feel like this is rather a choice, than being forced. i feel like you will be very focused on healing yourself, becoming more grateful & calmer towards life. meditation could be something you could be working on, it’s as you’ll be in hermit mode even though the hermit isn’t really here yet. you’re going to overcome some sort of stagnation, maybe you guys are overcoming depression or somber-ness of some sort, breaking out of some bad habits & patterns. i see some of you trying to be more productive or proactive this year too 💘 you guys might struggle a bit with this new lifestyle you’re trying to achieve, you might get back into bouts of depression & worry but i see you have potential to fight through of course. i see that some of you trying to get back in touch with your femininity, maybe you’re exploring that side of you more often this year. perhaps you’re partaking in creative hobbies to unleash your creative side or inner child 👀 it’s possible for emotional healing too. “advocate” you might be trying to support your loved ones & others more often this year. a few of you are probably diving more into spirituality this year, not really putting much focus into school, but when you do, you are trying to be very disciplined & productive! 💫 but it is very important to not be so hard on yourself, don’t try to strive to be this perfect boy or girl. there will be lots of transition, or “building” this year so don’t expect to be perfect & have yourself all together quickly. don’t try to expect others around you to be perfect either. it’s all about becoming your best self, not to become perfect.
even though there will some progress for you this year. i do see you procrastinating when it comes to achieving some goals this year. you might be handed some big opportunities, but you find yourself denying them feeling as though you’re not ready. i’m telling you right now that you are restricting yourself from getting somewhere with this. yes you’re healing & actually getting somewhere, but you need to take life by the horns & grasp these opportunities as much as you can. exert your feminine energy while benefiting form your masculine too. don’t wait until later. i see that you are trying to focus on one thing only so you don’t get overwhelmed, or you feel as thought you’re not capable of doing all of what you truly want to do. the universe wants you to go in all types of directions if you truly want to, just don’t be so hard on yourself & do what you feel is the right thing to do at the moment :) develop courage & self-confidence so you won’t be afraid to take a path you aren’t used to taking 🌞 i heard “acquisition”. develop skills & habits this year. it is very much needed for the things that you desiring to do.

i see you desiring to collaborate with others this year. you might be trying to learn how to work with others at school, & develop friends perhaps. you’re going to be seen as a team partner this year. it is possible that you are moving to another school & kids at your old school haven’t been seeing you or the kids at your new school notice that you’re new. “you’re taking on something new” people are going to notice that you are exploring something, expanding. much more out there than ever before. some of you could be discovering a new romantic relationship. this is oddly specific, but some of you probably went through a major glow up or transformation of some sort & are exploring your romantic options this year 💀💀 whoever this resonates with. there could’ve have been an ego death for some of you too, you are much more confident now. this new confidence that you have gained might attract jealousy from others. because i see lots of hate regarding your reputation, but i don’t see it being fair hate. i feel like some people aren’t used to seeing this demanding side of you, so they are assuming that you turned into an arrogant person, when in reality you just changed yourself for the better.
maybe you are starting to set boundaries with people! i’m hearing “intimidating” some people might find you intimidating this year. i feel like this is the complete opposite of what you are going to think of yourself around this time 💀💀 you’re not doing anything wrong, i see your whole reputation changing because of your new self-concept & beliefs. “rivalry” i don’t know if i am just hearing things but what is going on?? 🧍🏽‍♀️ i think there will be some controversy in your reputation, but on your end, i see you feeling very content & fulfilled in yourself. and that’s all that matters 💘
there could be a boost in finances for those of you with a job. or a sense of contentment & satisfaction ❤️‍🔥
