We should talk more about how precious dead bodies are, and how the sanctity of life extends to the sanctity of death. The only time anyone brings this up in connection to body autonomy is when making a point about abortion. There needs to be more awareness of the violence and cruelty of grave robbing and desecration, corpse and organ stealing, and refusing opportunity for the correct death rites.

DogFight!AU:

The dogfight!AU is an AU where Kel and everyone else in the friend group are kidnapped and sold for human trafficking.

They all get picked up by different people, and unfortunately, Kel gets sold to a human fighting ring. He eventually dies from the injures he gets from the fights he’s placed in.

Sunny is sold as a slave boy, and he’s bought up by a rich family and sent to work in a sweat shop they own. He succumbs to a lung infection a few months into his stay there.

Aubrey is also bought by a human fighting ring, just a different one from Kel’s. She rises the ranks so fast that by the years end, she’s put down by the ring owners in fear she might go crazy and kill them all.

Basil is bought by organ harvesters, and dies a slow and painful death as his organs and limbs are taken.

Hero and Mari are taken by undercover agents of the FBI and help eventually shut down the human trafficking site all together. They’re both devastated at the deaths of their friends and siblings, but they get on in life and live happily ever after. The end…

SIKE!!! YOU REALLY THOUGHT THIS WOULD BE THE END? NOPE.

What actually happens is that the two of them are shot down by the traffickers before being taken by the undercover cops. The traffickers had thought something about the cops were suspicious, and were right on the money when they suspected that they were actually undercover officers. They held Hero and Mari hostage until a bribe was given, but when the money was accounted for, they shot the two anyway.

And the story concludes with everyone being dead. The end.

BurningStar!AU

The BuringStar!AU is an AU where during a sleepover at Kel and Hero’s house, someone leaves a toaster on and sets the house aflame. Everyone but Kel make it out alive. They find his shriveled body clutching a surprisingly unblemished photo album.

Not really much to say about that AU.

Wait, so what about Dottore (and a couple of others) in the mafia au?? Don't worry, I've got you covered.

Dottore

Not a doctor. Weapons specialist with a particular interest in biological warfare although he mainly does more conventional weapons. Secretive and reclusive, has his main base of operations dug down under a warehouse away from the city center. There's always a weird feeling in the air wherever he goes, rumors suggest something is fundamentally wrong with him, head trauma, various disorders... nothing is confirmed and reader finds him to be mostly harmless if a little eccentric.

Does service on reader's rifle and modifies it. Equips it with a better scope, heat mapping lens, changes the casing to a lightweight material, does maintenance on all internal parts... All of it usually without being prompted. Offers reader an exoskeleton to improve weapon handling, reduce strain from recoil, he just has to connect it to her spinal chord, at which point reader politely declines.

There are rumours he runs an organ trafficking side business, but no one has been able to prove it. When asked about it Pantalone will simply answer along the lines of "I'm aware of my partners' various endeavours. But divulging their secrets would be ill mannered"

Pierro

The actual boss and head of the organisation. Has become more withdrawn after an accident that happened before reader was recruited. Is very rarely seen, more myth than man. Rumored to have been a fearsome sight when he was active. His character was enough to draw a lot of members during his prime, and the idolisation still persists among younger members although they might never have met him. Very rarely had to engage in combat due to the sheer respect he commanded with his presence - although that sounds heavily romanticised to reader... Supposedly he still manages relationships with other groups, and has 'friends' in every sector of the city. If you dig long enough everyone owes him a favor.

Arlecchino

In charge of recruitment and basic combat training. Reader went through a brief period under her care and did not enjoy it. Tough 'love' was an everyday occurrence and she did what was necessary to make sure her charges would survive their future. Oversees several brothels and bars through proxies who report directly to her. Said to be the most well informed when it comes to any happenings on the street and is quick to use any unrest as an opportunity to test out new recruits and weed out the weak.

Tartaglia

Dubbed "the bloodhound" by many of the regular members due to always following around at someone's heels. Helps Arlecchino with combat training and enjoys it. Will occasionally be seen entering covered in blood of unknown origin. Banned from Pantalone's mansion for this specific reason. Young and enthusiastic, he gets along better with the regular members of the mob rather than the people in charge.

Pulcinella

Corrupt City Hall member.

Today in the mass graves of the Nasser Hospital, corpses of Palestinian civilians were found with large incisions closed with staples; a technique that is not used in Gaza hospitals. Further evidence of organ theft by "Israel", which has one of the largest organ trafficking markets in the world.

Corpses of children were also found (1st photo), which were buried by the Zionists more than 3 meters underground to hide the crime and decompose faster. Bodies of shot patients and doctors were also discovered (2nd photo), bound civilians with a gunshot wound to the head (3rd photo). A real scandal that the world "press" is hiding, if it were a country that was an enemy of the United States that did this, they would show it to you ad nauseum.

Had to draw a thing about organ transplants and trafficking. Took some notes about it too cause why not.

Did this partially because of the meat garden episode from the Magnus archives.

It was mostly about the middle east as it was for my middle eastern literature class, so yeah.

Notes and some interesting quotes are down below. The main source I used was "The Red Market:On the Trail of the World's Organ Brokers, Bone Thieves, Blood Farmers, and Child Traffickers" by Scott Carney.

If you want to read it yourself it's a pretty good book, you should be able to find a PDF of it pretty easily!

•Organ donors oftentimes are impoverished and sell their organs commercially to make money to feed themselves, afford rent etc.

•A migrant put the issue this way "If you cannot find work when you get to Egypt, you will not find mercy. This is why people sell their kidneys."

•In Egypt, an organ seller will receive 2000$ while a buyer will pay 2000$.

•Refugees are especially vulnerable to organ trafficking because of a lack of legal protection.

•People in underdeveloped countries often view their organs in the same way one might view social security or unemployment benefits- as a safety net.

•One woman who was, in essence, scammed out of her kidney, alleged a police complaint about the fraud. When the police attempted to arrest the broker for organ trading, the police also tried to arrest the donor for selling her kidney. The broker was let off with a warning.

It was World Human Rights Day on the 10th December. And we wish to address a major issue plaguing both human healthcare delivery & health literacy - both fundamental human rights - worldwide. Organ Trafficking.

Despite relevant legislations in place, Organ Trafficking rackets operate unabated worldwide thanks to:

1️⃣ The unholy lure of easy money

2️⃣ The lack of education of the general populace on the illegal nature of "selling organs" in almost all countries.

3️⃣ No censorship/regulation regarding insensitive portrayals across various sections of media (movies/stand up comedies etc) on how "selling organs" can help meet random financial needs

4️⃣ The uncomfortable silence of apex influential bodies on this issue instead of aggressively & regularly educating the public about the respective laws pertaining to the matter.

No wonder then, that such preposterous questions like the one depicted in the image aren't uncommon.

In Organ Trafficking, "agents" who trap potential donors & the section of willing donors who volunteer for "easy money" are perpetrators in equal measure. These people are directly responsible for propogating a criminal nexus that trafficks (read steals) organs from sections of vulnerable unsuspecting people (obviously without consent) and robs them of their basic right to health & life.

"Trafficking Agents" can't be educated. But all "kidney sellers", irrespective of motivation, must consider IF:

1️⃣ The surgeon & medical staff involved in such illicit activities are even trained to carry out organ retreivals or handle complications like infections or excessive blood loss as a result of botched-up procedures?

2️⃣ Is there any guarantee that you will actually wake up after surgery? Traffickers can steal both your kidneys & leave you to die. Why would they care for your life at all?

3️⃣ If you do wake up, will you recover well to spend the earned money as you wish to?

4️⃣ Would you qualify for any insurance or litigation (lawyer) support if something goes wrong? Chances are you won't since such organ trade is illegal, to begin with.

SO IS "SELLING ORGANS" WORTH THE RISK?

Think about it.
