Summary : The priest of a small congregation together is not easy. Especially when God is always giving you new plans and after an "accident" he had to build this existence. He did not pursue his nature until he laid his eyes on a beautiful single flower that was just waiting to be picked by him.

Info : So this has to be one of my darkest ideas for his charcters but I really wanted to write it. A corrupted priest using his power for his own right...jup I want that. So have fun reading this be aware of the warning and have fun reading ;)

°Religion. He was the executor of God's word, so it was only right that everything the Lord told him to do went to him, wasn't it? It was his right, his power to do what he wanted because deep down in his inner being, which was not yet taken over by religion, he knew that he could do anything as long as he put the ,,Amen" behind it, it was too easy. Too easy, unlike his brothers, to become the leader here and not the tool like his brothers around him. Not a carpenter in his own company but a man of power...like his father. His father who had left blows on him after the first accident but then it was a marming and in the end it was egall. Because only the power of God mattered.

°Then the new beginning in the new little community of only a few hundred people, not even a thousand, it was perfect to build the church there and the influence of the Lefferty family was known throughout Mormon circles and for the first time he felt what this cohesion through religion really was. What power this could give one, this power that was simply given to him as he hammered the last nail into the wood for the church of the community, the only church in the community, the shelter under his leadership. Samuel Lafferty. He and his wife would become the example of the image of God with his children preserving the image of perfection but even without them he alone would be the leader of this group.

°A group that was completely at his mercy, they were a community that had no one else to turn to and had only him as their patron and sanctifier. He was their god of all. He was God's power and word and always kept the lights on in the church and the lamps burning because he knew that lost souls would come to him and he hid behind his smile and understanding look as he had always done since the incident that forced him to leave the city and found this one. This sucubus, the demoness so stupid as to scream her filthy hands at him to push him a god away from her, he had no choice because he had to judge the evil and lewd, didn't he? He had no choice but to put his hands on her first to look at her body and take it to try to clean the body of the slut. He hadn't intended to spill blood...had he?

°But what did he care, it was over and he had left so much more blood that it wouldn't change the fact that God would forgive him. He was the voice of God, the wolf who took his sheep and ate them up with skin and hair until there was nothing left but an empty hollow to feast on again and again and again. On which he could feast, on which he could lay his hands, on which he could satisfy his lust, on which he had a place for his "seed" that he did not want to give to his wife. Because in reality he hated her, he hated her and the children, it was his father's duty that had compelled him. He had never been used to it, he had been destined to this by God. However, he wolf quickly realized that sheep felt comfortable around a hunter. That they didn't run away but came closer and closer until he could just grab them.

°Why he had his demoness in the cellar, the church turned off the light when the trap had snapped shut until he got bored, the fire of the hen, the demon went out and she got cold, he no longer had his fun now for one last time maybe but it was tiring and he felt he needed a new one. A new toy. A new toy didn't last long it was always like this the last few times and then it was dead his toy was a casual affair. Until he saw her in this enclosure with the sheep. She was perfect, she wasn't like the other sheep, she wasn't the same, she had a real demon inside her. A demon that he knew only he could exorcize.

°He then waited until the evening slowly came over the village and said goodbye to his wife, the kiss on her cheek almost making him sick. If he could, he would part from her, leave her and all this behind him, all he needed was the new sheep, all he needed was her and a place. It would be perfect, but the voices around him, his wife's verbosity and his children's giggles brought him back to reality. A reality that the wolf had to accept until the doors opened and closed and a broad grin appeared on his lips. My darling went through his mind and he walked through the group of people who were pledging for the evening mass to get to her.

°,,Good evening, priest," she said and he could see her tension slipping away as if this simple house of God was really demanding everything of her. He stretched out his hand and placed it on hers, feeling how his understanding was right - warm, soft skin, perfect to leave his mark on. ,,God will rule over you, lay his hands on you and make you clean from everything, my sheep, I'm glad you're here," he greeted her and finally took his hand from her before placing it on her shoulder. He brought her into the church and he saw it. Saw how she hardly dared to look at him, how she was beaming with warmth, she didn't seem to know what was happening to her. It was the natural attraction to faith in its form

°She sat down with the others on the wooden benches, he led the service and said the prayers, read from the Bible, praised his congregation and, true to form, his eyes were always on her. She was too special to be left in this place. It was only his right to take care of her and put her on the right path, to drive out the demon and exercise his power over her, because there was no such thing as rejection. She didn't have that choice, she should consider herself lucky and above all worthy that he had chosen her. That all the other victims of his word and deeds were nothing compared to her. She just let him burn in the fire of hell, she threw herself at him as if there was no other choice. He saw exactly how she was the last one to get up from the bench, probably the last one to stand when it came to the blood of the Lord.

°He held the golden chalice in his hand and gave one after the other a sip. He felt a wave of excitement go through him as she was the last to go, it seemed as if only she existed when she came to him. She knelt dutifully as if she had been made to do nothing but serve him, kneel for him, take him and fulfill his wishes. He put the cup to her lips with more force than necessary and had to suppress a grin as she backed away. A frightened virgin in the face of her true husband. However, he put his hand on the back of her head for a moment it looked to the others like he was helping her but he couldn't help but imagine her between his legs sucking his cock so good for him, the tears running down her cheeks forcing her to take more. But as quickly as he had these "righteous" thoughts, they disappeared again and he released her. He saw her brief, almost apologetic smile as if it was all her fault... but wasn't it?

°He saw her stand up again, her gaze going to the ground and back to the bench. It was only moments before, after a final prayer, he shuffled the sheep and made his way through the crowd until he reached her. Touching her on the shoulder, she turned to face him, but was met with kindness. ,,My dear, I have a request, well, you could say God's request. I would like to hang up some pictures of the children for tomorrow and prepare other things I thought you could help me?" he asked and saw after a few moments that she had no idea that her naivety would harm herself when she nodded and agreed to hide from her other sheep. He took her with him and told her to go to the alat and he closed the big double door to keep her with him. The sheep was in his paws and the wolf could drop his costume.

°,,You know, maybe I shouldn't tell you this, but we know each other, don't we? Tomorrow afternoon I'll give my blessing to the young new couples in our parish," he began and walked down the aisle towards the altar, seeing how he had her she naturally asked what it was about with a certain shyness. But he let her fidget it still took a little time so he walked past her his eyes still undressing her. The white cap on her head hid her hair and he wanted to slide his hand into it, pull it, see how she sounded. The dark blue dress covered her body, leaving only her hands free. A true virgin in this damned unholy place. He went to the altar, took the chalice again and looked at her reaction. Would she respond to this subliminal provocation or ignore it? What would his sacrifice do, it almost drove him mad. ,,That's nice, our community needs more couples... even if I won't be there," she almost whispered and her gaze went to the ground, her eyes no longer looking at him.

°But he wanted it, he needed her to look at him, he wanted to see her reaction. ,,Why is that? You're a pious, good and pretty little flower," he made the first move and put the goblet down, seeing that she was still looking at him, her hands clutching the fabric of her dress. He made her nervous, turned her on and entered her head without her being able to do anything because it was her distorted thoughts, sinful thoughts that let him in. ,,Answer me why not dear?" he asked, placing his cool fingers under her chin, lifting her head and watching her despair grow. He knew he had power over her and it was stimulating.

°He could feel her tension, she was in a turmoil oh he could just hear it in her heart, in her hot bloodbane where the lifeblood was, he wanted to hurt her, wanted to see what she looked like, what she would do. What would she do when he put the fiery cross on her skin. ,,You need a mark, the touch of a man dear...it's your naivety that led you to the devil," he chided as he let out an excited grunt as his hand traveled up her side to her breasts. Not wearing a bra, with a flower in her hair and a smile that was too sweet. A slut, a demoness his next victim. He squeezed the soft skin and heard her gasp, the first of many sounds once he had her, down in the cellar under the church the real reason for the construction. Down in the purification room on the snow-white bed that would soon be stained with blood when he took her. He was sure no, he knew he was her first, that he would stain her, that he would take the brut if she carried one, that the pain would be nothing more than his care. ,,I beg no Samuel I will-" but he interrupted her pleas it wasn't meant for up here but his bitch had yet to learn that she would learn she would be good for him. With his hand around her neck, his hand that was on his slowly slipped away but he praised her with a kiss on her neck that she kept her hand on the cross.

°She kept it there a good girl in his eyes but he wanted more his now free hand ran over the fabric undoing the buttons that held the fabric together on her chest. Her cry came over muffled as he put his hand over her mouth, his fingers moving into her mouth, the warm fruit just one of her many inner assets. The coughing and gasping as she didn't know what to do but he wanted all the more from her. Letting his hand wander on her skin and down her torso, he left red streaks behind, her wiggling and her excited fear only made him press himself even more against her, his hardness getting a wave of excitement every time. ,,You have no idea how dirty you are but do you want me to tell you something?" he asked and the silence hung in the air for a moment before she nodded as best she could and pressed herself against him in a moment of surprise as his hand slowly went down to her center.

°She nodded again not knowing what to do but she had a choice in the face of a man of God. A man of God who wanted her, she should be grateful, shouldn't she? ,,I will take care of you, purify you, accept you and be with me due...but you are better than all the others, I know it" he told her what he was true, what he wanted and what he was going to do. His cool fingers ran over her cervix, lathering her cheeks as she should not have been attracted to all this. But maybe he was right. Maybe he was right about everything, manylicghf she was possessed, unclean and had to be cleansed by him.

°,,Please-my Lord...make me whole," she begged slowly, her head intoxicated by the wine that was different from the others, her insides burning with desire as the others simply trusted him and he could strike. His jaw closed around her and he ate her. He felt her attempts to get free diminish as the drugged wine did its best and after a few minutes she lay almost motionless in his arms. He carefully took her body in his arms, the light of the candles in the kitchen illuminating her. He watched her, still aroused, as her breathing slowed, his lust for her only increased.

°He looked around, his gaze averted from the cross and the candles went out, the trap snapped shut and the wolf carried its prey into the cellar. Down the stairs into the great room. It was pleasant, except for the blood on the floor, which was splattered on the walls, the bare light and the chains of eggs on the walls and the bed. He couldn't risk losing his darling, not as long as he didn't get tired of her. ,,Do you see how nice it is here?" he asked her, knowing he wouldn't get an answer as he laid her on the bed and placed the necklace almost over her neck, ankles and wrist. He could play with her, use her like his personal doll, direct her and show her off. Perfection as soon as the cross cleanses you went through his mind as he looked at the cross on his neck, the metal already dark from the flames of how often he had used it to place it on the skin of his victims, but she. She would get it often enough.

°He reached into his trouser pocket, took out the knife and began to cut her clothes off - she didn't need them for what he was going to do to her. He looked at her naked body, his hands wandering over her body, the flawless skin seemed so pure. He left red streaks on her and saw how warmth left itself on the scratches. Her breasts were so soft that he slowly moved to her on the bed, but she still didn't realize that in her dream she must have perceived it differently. ,,What are you dreaming about?" he asked, kissing his way down her neck, leaving bites and marks harder and harder. He wiped away the blood he had pulled from her neck.

°But like everything, it was only the beginning as he spread it over her body with his fingers. He tampered with her breasts, pinching the sensitive nipples and despite her fainting, a shudder went over her body. ,,Oh I know you can feel me, can you feel my lust? Consider yourself lucky for my attentiveness," he greeted her and rubbed his arousal against her, his hands around her neck, hardly waiting for her to wake up and see the marks he had left on her. The stains of his cum on her thighs stained the bed. He stroked her hair in farewell as he rose from her, looking at the demoness first, seeing the creature that needed to be cleaned. But inside he knew that once again, by his own word, his own right, she was his next perfect victim. His property forever.

Ok, so, I just randomly decided to make a list of Top 10 hottest (male) TR charcters... No idea why, it just popped in my head, lmao.

I wrote this 97% for the lolz, so don't take it too seriously.

So, here it is:

Top 10 Hottest Guys of Tokyo Revengers

10. MITSUYA - It's common knowledge that he's the Husband Material ™️ of the series! He was introduced as this responsible, mature, reliable guy with a somewhat eccentric hobby, and you may be into the cool, calm, collected, talented, kind ones, who're good with kids and house chores, but you can't convince me that your ovaries didn't do a happy little backflip with his glow-up in the last arc! You just know he's a little devil behind that whole boy-next-door act. 😏

9. SHIN - Ok, throughout the most part of the story, he was just Mikey's dead brother, who Mikey himself led us to believe was weak, generally lame, and a hopeless loser with women. Then we got the flashback chapters in the last arc, and what did we see? Capable, hardworking, caring, loving, selfless, persistant man, strong both in a fight and in holding his ground. Hell, he cared for vegetative Mikey for four years, pretty much all alone, sacrificing his own dreams and life in the process. Also, black turtlenecks and bomber jackets. That's all I'm gonna say.

8. HANMA - Who doesn't love a bit of occasional insanity?! The ultimate troll, both in the verse and in the fandom, tricked us all good! That's just how bored he was. Annoying, completely random and unpredictable, grinning madman who's only there to watch the world burn, by setting it ablaze with his own hotness! I mean, tall, tattoed, well dressed, cocky, handsome bastard, with sleepy eyes, anyone?! I hate the fact that he's giving an inexplicably strong 'boyfriend vibe'! But, I just wanna call him 'Shuuji'... 🤭

7. HAKKAI - This cutie is criminally underrated and slept on! I know Wakui did him dirty by not giving him a more complex personality than just a Mitsuya simp, but look at him! Tall, handsome, strong, blue eyes, lip scar, piercing. No wonder he ended up with a modeling career! And on top of the stunning looks, he's just a pure, shy baby! 🥺 Makes you wanna tease and corrupt the hell out of him! 🤭 Besides, his implied clinginess and loyalty suggest he's a keeper, and if that isn't hot, I don't know what is!

6. MIKEY - The definition and the school example of that old proverb - the strongest poisons are kept in the tiniest flasks. Yes, having incredible fighting prowess is hot, being a capable leader is hot, having endless authority is hot, being "emo" is hot, being painfully cute is hot... We don't care that he's pocket sized (and mentally unstable), with his endless charisma, our favorite gang leader very well deserved his place on this list!

5. WAKA - Simply, he's sexy and he knows it. And we know it. You know it. Your grandma knows it. Everyone knows it. Teen or adult, law abiding citizen or a crime lord, the White Leopard could make anyone anywhere fall for him at the snap of his fingers! ...if he only cared enough to do so, tho.

4. KOKO - Intelligent, smart, sassy, sarcastic, and plain insolent = perfection. This cheeky, well-read, super stylish, handsome motherfucker had us fawning over his strong, passion-driven personality, hidden under the cool façade. What's not to love about a blindly devoted guy?! It doesn't matter if it's the devotion to a cause or a person he deems important (#lucky Inui siblings). But fair be fair, that habit of sticking his tongue out should be X rated...

3. BAJI - If his fiery, man-among-the-men personality, undying loyalty, and endless kindness aren't enough to make you burn like a car, just take a look at that perfectly chiseled face, cocky smirk, and glorious raven locks! Still not convinced? Well, you're either blind, dead, or not into guys at all! We should actually be grateful that his adult version was only ever shown at the very last chapter, cause anything more than that would have been beyond too hot to handle!

2. KAZUTORA - There's just something indescribably magnetic about the whole "redeemed sinner" trope, and that alone would have been enough to get him a spot on this list! But since he also happens to have the handsomest face in the show, a beauty mark under the eye, the cutest smile, a piercing, a tattoo, and a fair amount of badassery and strength, it all sums up to the total of our dear banana tiger being the runner-up!

1. HARUCHIYO - Does this one really need any explanation? Pathological loyalty is beyond hot, wearing a mask is hot, scars are super hot (as already established), suits are hot, piercings are hot, long lashes are hot, pale blond/albino is hot, green eyes are hot, skillfully wielding a sword is hot, smarts are hot, being a little bit deranged is hot... the list could really go on for days, there's literally nothing about him that doesn't make him hot. "...Being a homicidal maniac and a drug addict?" No, he's excused for all red flags on the account of pretty privilege!

IM SAYING LIKE they served so much cunt with the 2021 halloween fits and we went mostly downhill from there, could we perhaps get your thoughts on the rest of the set too, maybe which were your fav and least fav ones? 🥺👉👈 i could write a whole essay on them tbh i swear im normal about them

the halloween fits truly were everything. with the bunny fits one of the only events where looking at the bottom parts only made me break out in sweats half the time.

i'm not necessarily gonna rate them, but i'll give my thoughts.

so let's start

lucifer

solid outfit. the hat i'm okay with since it doesn't look like it's got a life of its own (hat that shall not be named). the zipper shoes however need to go, the white is not giving and certainly a choice for an almost all black outfit. even in white they'd look way better as dress boots with laces.

also love how they somehow managed to give lucifer even more pieces of clothing than usual, unquestionably a skill.

anyway i can't really complain about the outfit bc the card was drawn by the dilf hair lucifer artist. i forgive all mistakes for that.

mammon

it's giving shady vendor it's giving Dr.Facilier with the colour scheme. maybe a bit questionable that he isn't wearing any socks but. it's the horror outfit so maybe that checks out. i personally would've replaced the tie with a bunch of necklaces and have given the man some damn socks. i'd always give mammon at least 60% more jewelry in general that man should be dripping in it.

for me this one is the least exciting one out of the bunch, but i still like it.

the jason mask??? the boots?? hands down this is one of the only times i am in love with obey me brand shoes bc these look GOOD (maybe it's just the obey me church stompers trauma talking). love love love the coat and i am also weirdly okay with the brown pants since they match the dried blood on the coat. the gloves are a bit unnecessary though.

i both love and have my beef with this outfit. when i saw the dress i almost flipped my phone because finally!! the devs let a charcter aside from asmo be a bit more feminine looking! then i saw the bottom and went. hmmmm. i think i just don't like that he's wearing both a dress and dress pants (that have buttons on the side. ew) combined? i genuinely think the outfit would've been more cohesive if they either leaned more into the feminine side (dress closed a bit further down, tights, boots with a higher heel) or the more androgynous side (corset with lacing in the center, dress as more of a blouse, high waisted pants, bottom of the dress if kept more like an overskirt?)

he's perfect, he's beautiful, he looks like linda evangelista, he's a model

no questions asked. perfection. the spider theme/black widow theme is so fucking perfect for him. also the placement of the blood on his hands and sleeves? casually going insane over him they did him so well. definitely my favourite out of them all.

belphie

alright. i am conflicted about this one. because it's camp. no idea what made the devs give belphie a sexy nurse theme but i'm here for it. maybe not necessarily the executiion but still. the skeleton print is my arch nemesis. what in the hot topic fingerless emo gloves is going on here. love the little belt on his thigh but also. safety. hazard babes. he'd be getting poked by needles every step he takes. i don't even wanna look at the little bo peep ass looking shoes.

i would've loved the outfit even more if they'd given him a skirt instead of his little short shorts. maybe not a visually appealing one but definitely an amusing one.? like yeah it's ugly but yeah i also like it because it's silly.

beel

for a beel outfit? god tier. man always has to suffer from boring outfit syndrome, but this one is good as long as you keep your eyes trained on the upper part. the devs shortly released him from the yas girl give us nothing basement. we do not talk about the ginormous clown stompers on his feet though. it looks less camp than belphie's nurse outfit and i'm here for it.

anyway, here are my qsmp election thoughts:

-I think q!Cellbit/Forever are the most qualified in terms of adequate game knowledge, desire to drive forward the lore, community support, and passion for the position. HOWEVER as a viewer it is the most boring choice. I enjoy qsmp for the serious lore AND the goofy funny stuff, and I think that insaneduo are a little too serious for it to be an interesting outcome. I also think that while being president might motivate their charcters in an interesting way, the aftermath of losing the presidency might be even more interesting and could start a q!Forever villain arc which I personally would enjoy a lot

-q!Baghera would be a good choice for her heart and passion, and it would be a good move for her character, but I think she fundamentally lacks the presence needed to convince people to vote for her. If she was able to take more control over the debates and presented her points with more confidence she would be a more formidable opponent

-q!Etoiles would be an extremely good pick due to his knowledge of the land itself and the mods. He is also extremely charismatic and everyone seems to love him, despite him not being overly interactive with the others on the island. But, like q!Baghera, he lacks a presence necessary to be president, and because he is generally more comfortable on the sidelines I don't see him pulling the necessary votes

-q!Mike, q!Felps, and q!BBH would be good choices if not for the other candidates who are such powerhouses. These three simply fall into the background. I think they work more as counsel members/those in the presidential cabinet because they work well as sources of knowledge/power/etc., just not as leaders themselves

-ElQuackity would be the choice that I think presents the most narrative opportunity, but I think it is something that has been seen before (the bad intentioned candidate wins, usually by unfair means, leaving the rest of the characters in a state of despair but motivating them to fight back against a common enemy). Further, he hasn't presented much in the debates other than defending himself (though I feel this is mostly because the federation is using him as a pawn and they have programmed him with as little information as necessary, leaving his presidential promises vague). If the story is going as people expect, he will win no matter what, but I would also love to see q!Quackity somehow come back/regain control and stop things before it all goes to hell (because it will 100% go to hell if ElQuackity is elected)

-Gegg is by far (and I do not say this lightly) the best choice for president. I know it sounds wild, but Gegg is the candidate that presented the most level-headed and dogmatically coherent arguments in the debate, all of which actually would help the island from a lore prespective. His based views with his slimy goopy exterior makes him the best choice that is a perfect balance of serious lore potential and silliness. Of course he won't win because he is fucking Gegg (unless we get a full Geggolution and he can speak bc there is no way they are electing a president who has to write on signs), but I think he genuinely has the votes and the overall love by those on the island

-Now we come to q!Foolish. I know he seems like the purely silly candidate, and most of how he has approached the election has been from a strictly comedic relief standpoint, BUT I think he is the best candidate to win with a real chance of doing so. I think narratively it presents a perfect opportunity for q!Foolish to go full villain if he wanted, or to generally develop as a character as he takes on responsibility. He is on the server a ton, everyone loves him, and he has one of the strongest members as his partner. Not only that, he is generally knowledgeable about the game and the land, he knows about and is involved in the lore, and he is first and foremost creatively wired. He will offer the silliness that the qsmp needs while having those closest to him (like q!BBH and q!Cellbit) who are very lore-focused and can push him in certain directions to make lore decisions. The only fault I find is that q!Foolish is an english speaker, and I would love if another culture/language was represented in such a position, but it isn't a deal breaker for me. Truly I think electing q!Foolish would be the most narratively interesting choice while also allowing for the qsmp to stay silly, which is one of the largest appeals and what many creators who are more lore-focused come to the server for

i have so much to say about pride and prejudice I busted out the laptop to make an informal discussion post that requires 3 of my peers to reply with “Wow, Hawk! What a great analysis. I particularly liked when you................................................................................................” And of course I would get two maybe even three A+’s for my writings and 10 points of extra credit.

Because oh my god. This is my first experience reading great great great literature, perfectly tailored for my enjoyment. And then being able to watch the movie immediately after. This is my first time ever feeling in my bones “oh my god the book was waaaaaayyyyyy better than the movie.”

ok my thoughts

Mr. And Mrs. Bennet: In the novel, the subtelys for these charcters were way more appropriate. Specifically Mrs. Bennett came across way better in the book than the movies. She was obnoxious in both, but in a more sophisticated way in the book. Like her behavior was indicitive of her class, and of her insecurites of an unhappy marriage and of her overcompensation to provide for her daughters. It gave her more depth. In the movies she was acting out of anxiety, always. And it felt more obnoxious that way. I loved her portrayal though do not get me wrong she had me laughing and I appreciated how much more endearing she was in the movies. MR BENNET was so good in the movies. So good. Again he was more subtle in the book, which was so much better. But he was amazing and lovely in the movie. I really really loved his role and character, and how much more prevalent it was in the film. I loved him tearing up at the end like YES lovely and such a good job from President Snow. I really enjoyed how Elizabeth was given lines in the film that were originally said in the novel by Mr. Bennet. It was perfectly done and showed how similar the two characters and how much of a bond they had. And how the writers saw that even if they weren’t able to flesh it out very well in the film.

Jane: I can’t believe how much of a minor character she felt compared to .. Lydia! Or Mr. William Collins..ugh... Like she had nothing going for her besides being Elizabeths best sister, and marrying Mr. Bingley. Which i am torn up about. You would expect her, and Elizabeth, to be the most fleshed out. The most characterized. But I argue that Lydia and Mary and Mr. Collins had much more substance to them. Which I kind of appreciate it happening like this way more. That Jane Austen gave life to the minor characters rather than fleshing out the mary sue’s and leaving the rest to die. Jane’s casting in the film was brilliant. I can not believe she’s gone girl.

Mr collins.. Fantastic fantastic fantastic in the films. I loved loved loved his character. The balls !!!! He was giving disgusting little man. He was amazing. He was the perfect loser failson. Giving much more of comedic relief than I felt from him in the book. In the novels I haaaatted him and Jane Austen gave him sooo many eyeroll moments that I loved... Like his letter to Mr. Bennet after he found out that Mr. Darcy had planned to propose, and after Lady Butt came to visit. He was perfectly horrible and pretentious. He was so insufferable and again I loved how subtle his charcter was in the novel compared to in the film.

I also really loved Charlotte’s dialogue with Elizabeth in the film when she comes to tell her that she has been married. The explanation of her character and the decision to marry loser mr.collins was so well done. Lovely Lovely Lovely. I felt her character had more life in the movie than the book.

Mr. Wickham. Book? . Great. So much more fleshed out... Had so much depth and impact on the plot and the characters, specifically Elizabeth. Movie? Boring. Next. Who is this guy again? Quite disappointing. Same with Lydia. I love her character so much and the movies did a good job of capturing who she is, but there’s so much more to his and her’s plot that needed to be explained in the movies.

I can’t believe how short the film felt. 2 hours went by so quickly They could have added another 30 and it would have been very very needed. My vote would be the 30 minutes going to expanding on Mr. Wickham. He’s so important to Elizabeth’s prejudice towards Mr. Darcy. He’s so important to the prejudice against the Bennet family after marrying Lydia. And Lady Butt and Ms. Bingley’s prejudice towards the Bennet’s. To not go deeper into his character to see the depth on his greed and scummyness, you can not fully understand how Elizabeth was able to change her mind on her prejudices so quickly. The movie really overlooked him which I think was a disservice to all the characters.

Elizabeth . So amazing. I can only sum it up in those two words. She was very endearing. Very likeable. I loved her. So much. Her character progression made sense. She fits so well with Mr. Darcy.

The film ending.

historical or scifi aus? would you rather read a well written fic of a notp or an otp fic with a dynamic you hate for them? have you ever written a fic in one go? which fandom mischaracterization do you dislike more: dumb cutesy pushover ryou or irredeemable villain tkb? and same question for you because its a great one - have you ever gotten into a thing through fic writing?

...This first one is hard because both genres have a very easy-to-catch habit of giving exposition for everything, and that alone drives me up a fucking wall. And, unfortunately, Sci-Fi tends to attract this more than historical AU's, if only because you really need to understand the world to be on board with the story at all. Whereas you can kind of take the punches from a historical as they come, and a little easier. [That said, Origin of Symmetry (tendershipping) is still fucking phenomenal, and I recommend it, wow the world building is FANTASTIC.] Regardless, I do think I prefer sci-fi to historical, if only because I'd rather hear about new plot gimmicks with my high-society melodrama than my high-society melodrama with very boring homophobia and no electricity.

I have already, multiple times, refused to read and/or stepped out of fics with my NOTP in the background or mentioned in a one-off line. I have done this the same amount of times, if not more, that I have willingly clicked on and read poorly-dynamic'd fics with my OTP. I will continue to do this unless obliged by beta duties or Frenzyprompt. My resolution for the new year is to, in fact, read a fic where I can be okay with them existing like that.

I have - a few in fact! Pyrrhic (Zorc Wins tendershipping) took me, like, maybe half an hour. I really like writing for Zorc, I haven't gotten to do so much outside of my own headspace, so i jumped on this. Wing It (rhack), Imperfect Investigation (Cornered!fic) and Like Operation, But Not (tameshipping) each took me an hour to a few hours, apiece. Wing it and Operation are pretty short, so that makes sense and errs more on an hour or two, but Imperfect Investigation took about three or four? I finished it at... 2? in the morning? I think I got the prompt at, like, eleven or twelve. it took a bit and I went off on it.

Both of these really depend on execution and tone/intent of the fic. If DumbCutePushover Ryou is expected to be a Yami Bakura antidote, then I don't want it. If TKB being irredeemable comes with none of his nuance? I don't want it. But, gun to my head, I think I dislike DCP Ryou more just because I've been reading/writing ygo fic since the early-to-mid 2000's and a lot of tender fics back then did not have the kind of balance the young'n's are getting fed today.

Have I ever gotten into a- DOLLY FIC (tendershipping, SFW) HAS RUINED M -- it was SUPPOSED to be a fun little foray into a KINK I DIDN'T HAVE. It was supposed to be some FUN, INTERESTING SMUT (nsfw). Something DIFFERENT, to stimulate my BRAIN and NO OTHER PARTS OF ME. YET.... HERE I AM..... And, a little more roundabout but - the process of writing and drafting Demon!Fic got me into Urusei Yatsura - it has a lot of allusions to Japanese culture and folklore, something I've been needing to research for that fic, and has really charming charcter humor that I feel inspired by. And it's the first work published by Rumiko Takahashi - Gods perfect pervert - someone I greatly respect and a writer who was a big part of my childhood, regardless of whether or not she should have been. I would go so far as to say I look up to her. So, it's refreshing to be into her stuff again. And, needs be remarked - writing A Different Form, A Different Time really got me into casteshipping for SURE. I was on the fence, I was leaning into it, but that was the hook and line and sinker. They just far too interesting with each other to not want to see a passion play between them, no matter how it happens.

I'm one of those weird people who tends to gravitate more towards a character because of the actor or actress playing them, as opposed to the actions and whatnot of the charcter, if that makes any sense whatsoever. ANYWAY.

Donna Boden is my all time favorite character from the One Chicago franchise. She deserves to be more than just a very minor character, but I digress. My second favorite would probably have to be Connor Rhodes, because hello. Have you seen Colin Donnell? Yeah. Well, then there's also Connor's backstory. I mean, coming from a wealthy, dysfunctional family? Okay, now you're just making me miss my Connor and Scarlett ship and the mun I wrote it with on here once upon a time all over again.

Rounding out the top three, I'd probably have to go with Sylvie Brett. Hailey Upton comes in fourth, and after that I can't decide between Herrmann and Mouch. And then there's also Chief Boden. I like Adam Ruzek, Kim Burgess, and Dr. Charles, just not enough to be like omg yes favorite love them so much. You know what I mean?

I miss Sarah Reese, because she was pretty much perfect for present day Ella Greene. You can't tell me you don't see a mini Elizabeth Corday when you look at her. I kind of miss Alvin Olinsky and Leslie Shay as well, but anyway.

As you can see, I feel like MED sort of pales in comparison to the other two shows. I'm probably leaving someone out that I'll randomly remember later on, but ah well. I'm pretty much neutral when it comes to the remaining characters in the franchise, but yeah... I hope this mini novel answers your question. Thanks for the inquiry!

I have a lot of personal preferences for fics beyond the obvious but I think my refusal to engage with ones where jiang cheng is anything but a cishet who is at least a little miserable is my pettiest condition

It's more so this lovesick notion that Vil seems to be "in love with" rather than you as a person. No one knows exactly why Vil chose you as his dearly significant other and Vil has never given any inkling as to why he favors you above everybody else. It's a paradox, an unsolvable mystery. But the truth is Vil fell in love with you, not for your looks, nor your personality, heck you didn't even really do some outstanding gesture that pulled at his heartstrings, no, instead you did nothing. Confusing, I know but let me explain, you were a nobody. No breathtaking looks, no fantastic personality, no influential family. There was NOTHING special about you! This means you had the potential to be something special, something extraordinary and the only person in the universe who could raise you to such levels was nonother than the head of Pomfiore, Vil Schoenheit!

Every day he spends hours making sure you look perfect, a face painted in just the right ways to make others believe you had the features of an angel sent from above. Posture so straight, shoulders pulled back to make others think you were the long lost heiress to some fallen family. Never once did you speak out of place or with a tone harboring too many emotions, every word that left your mouth was so well thought out and prepared that others could only suspect you were some sort of genius.

You were nothing, that's what made Vil notice you in the first place, that's what made him mold you into the perfect someone. Whatever you are now is only thanks to your darling, caring lover...never forget that.

Rook Hunt is delusional.

Rook's brain is an incredibly messed up place and it only gets worst the longer he's around you. You are a little rabbit, nimble and sweet and he is the hunter that wants to stick a bow right through your beating heart, a lovely pair you two make, wouldn't you agree? But the more he stalks you, following you around like a second shadow. The more he realizes that he doesn't want you simply for the thrill of a small chase...oh no, he wants to keep you. Put you in a golden cage and throw away the key. You're not some rare catch like le roi des lions or a breathtaking sight like le roi des poisons. No instead you're simple, you aren't a game of nither wit nor strength, you are simply a game of love. Because you love him already don't you? You know he's been following you and doesn't do anything about it because you want him to catch you, right? You want the greatest hunter to hit you with his cupid's arrow so you can fall into his awaiting arms, right where you belong!

Azul is manipulative (were you guys seriously expecting something else?)

Azul is all calculations and deals, all wit and talk. He's got guts to go up against just about anyone he meets and he’s smart enough to turn them into a fish out of water. So maybe it was his confidence that let’s you slip away with lax deals, bending the rules for a helpless little angelfish such as yourself. He doesn't notice that he has feelings for you, not until you stroll into the VIP room of the Mostro Lounge looking for your "dearest friend Azul", all to simply ask him for a contract to make the lousy excuse of an Ignyhide dorm leader fall in love with you. It's then and there that Azul decides it's time to toughen up the rules, tighten the noose around your pretty little neck. You don't even notice until you're rejected by Idia and some strang red string is dragging you into Azul's waiting embrace.

Kalim is delusional and obsessive.

To Kalim, this is just another heart-filled game. You belong to him and he belongs to you, it's simple! The two of you are so in love...it's just you're a little shy when it comes to admitting it! That's okay, Kalim knows a few drinks from the land of hot sands that will loosen your tongue and if that fails there's always Jamil's hypnosis magic that can make you confess! Look, no matter how you go about it, Kalim is just all so convinced that you love him that it doesn't matter what you really think!

Ruggie is manipulative (Lord have mercy on you people the day I finally muster up the courage to write Savancalw yandere headcanons)

Oh sure, male hyenas are passive when it comes to females everyone knows that! But whilst Ruggie does follow -albeit loosely- the reserved yet desperate routines of hyena courtship, he leans more towards suffocating his chosen mate with his presence rather than showing a desperate side of himself. He's always circling his chosen darling, stalking them down the halls, trailing after them all over campus, he never leaves them alone. Any confrontations from his darling will lead to an immediate sob story. Something about how he could smell food in your bag and didn't have any money to buy his own meal or maybe about how he never met a girl as cute as you in slums so he had no idea how to approach you properly. Of course, this is all a hoax, he just needs you to drop your guard, to look him in the eyes with your sad, heart-throbbing orbs, then it's game over, you're all his. "Hey, what's with the dull face? come on, laugh with me skskksks~".

Jack is a protective.

It's only natural really, wolves are overprotective when it comes to their pack members and sure maybe you aren't really a part of his pack per se. But that doesn't mean he's just going to leave you to fend for yourself. You're all so small and frail, you could never hold your own against anyone! Let alone all the mages in NRC. But Jack can, he can protect you and defend himself, it's not a problem. He's very likely torn on whether or not to actually kidnap his darling. On one hand, he doesn't want you to hate him for stealing you away from your friends, he wouldn't want to play the role of the big bad wolf in your story. But on the other hand, poor Jack just isn't lucid enough to fully understand that whisking you away is wrong. In the end, you probably just wind up in his room locked away, or better yet, protected from all the horrors of the outside world.

Deuce is an obsessive

He just wants to be around you all the time. It's mostly some deep routed paranoia that at any fleeting moment you'll somehow abandon him finding refuge with either Cater or Ace. Maybe you find their lazy stupid mannerisms amusing, is that it? If you want lazy, he can be lazy too! Or maybe you want to be with Riddle? Do you like guys who are mean spirited and quick to anger? He can yell! He can yell so much better than Riddle can! Deuce will do anything, anything at all to get you to stay with him. Even if some of his tactics are a little more painful and involve some broken bones.

Hypnosis Mic

Jakurai is possessive and protective

He's overbearing to put it simply, constantly hovering around you, ghosting his fingers over your flesh, or leaving lingering kisses on any patch of exposed skin. First and foremost Jakurai is a doctor, so it's his nature to be nurturing, sure you can accept that much. But what he does to you isn't nurturing in any way shape or form! Juakurai isn't above using sedatives and other forms of medications to keep you compliant, that's not what a good doctor should do, you're both lucid enough to know that. But to Ill-Doc you leave him no other choice, you're constantly disobeying him, trying to find some underhanded way to leave him. So what else can the poor man do! He needs to keep his only escape from the tedious loneliness he's been cursed with, safe!

Balder is possessive and obsessive

He can't help it, there's just something so radiant and sparkling inside of you, something that he can't let get tainted by the darkness that rests within others. You're always walking on thin ice around him, chewing every single word before conversing, calculating every single step before daring to make the slightest move. One wrong look or miscalculated word could get him to spiral into a fit madness, and this time there won't be anyone to save you. But that's only if you do the wrong thing! Just keep playing the role of the loving, adoring girlfriend and there won't be any further...complications. If you simply show him how much you love him, Balder can become all so sickly sweet. A perfect doting boyfriend, constantly sharing his precious meat with you and dressing you up in prettiest lavish gowns from Asgard.

Asmodeus is sneaky

The avatar of lust is used to swift meaningless relationships, too caught up in the passion and pleasure to really care about the other person. But with his darling things are different. Oh sure, the lust and sexual tension is still there, always hovering around the air like a thick unbreakable fog. Accept this time there's something else, a sort of jealous aroma blowing through the dense mist. It's intoxicating, making Asmoudaus crave only his little darling, he only wants to look at them, touch them, kiss only them! It's almost like he's addicted to every itty bitty detail about his newfound lover. Will Asmodeus get bored of the relationship over time? Absolutely! But will he ever actually leave his darling to their own devices? Hell no! Asmodeus may have the right to cheat on his darling but they can NEVER so much as think about another man other than him! HE.OWNS.THEM! Their body, mind, soul, it all belongs to him!

Black Butler

Snake is Jealous (I haven't written for black butler since, like, sixth grade)

Snake does love you, this is an evident fact, he never once leaves your side. It's suffocating sure, but it's only because the scaled boy is so paranoid that you might run away with someone else, someone normal. His snakes (mostly Emily) are always chaining the two of you together, constantly curling around your skin so you won't get any ideas to escape. Lord forbid you so much as look at another man, that'll make the white-haired snake charmer go into a fit of pure utter rage. normally Snake won't punish you, but when his jealousy gets too much to keep inside he'll let it out by screaming at you. Asking you if you find him repulsive if you wish to leave him for someone who looks normal. This will than lead to him crushing you in his arms, begging you not to leave him! Overall Snake is one of the tamer yandere of the Phantomhive residence, a real blessing in disguise.

Saeyoung is obsessive

It's really all just a small accident, this was never really meant to happen, he wasn't meant to fall in love with you. Saeyoung probably just came across your profile whilst on the web, scrolling through some database or another. like I said, IT.WAS.AN.ACCIDENT...and yet all so many times accidents can lead to something...more. Saeyoung doesn't know what particular thing it was about you that caught his attention, maybe it was your cute face or some little odd, out of place detail in your bio. Either way, it has the red-haired hacker surfing through every site just to learn more about you. Picking the internet apart just to find out some small fragments of your personal life. It's become a sort of hobby -addiction- of his, stalking your every move through trackers and reverse cameras. One day he might even gather the courage to speak to you in person, but for now, he's content watching your pretty face from behind a screen.

Impey is Obessasive and clingy

It's your smile, right from the get-go, Impey was enthralled by your cheerful smile. It makes his heart skip a beat, his palms grow sweaty, and his breath hitches in his throat. He just adores that pearly white grin. He's constantly pestering you, poking your cheek, and asking you to smile for him just once more. "Just a small smile, please~". His clinginess is mostly due to the fear of losing you or more so having you stolen from him. That's why he never let's go of your hand and is constantly locking you in his room. "I'm the only one that deserves to see that smile" it's such a childish phrase, primarily when it's accompanied by his renowned pout. Of course, things start to go downhill when you outright refuse to smile. Choosing instead to cry and scream, begging someone to save you from this mad man. Impey is borderline delusional if he thinks you'll ever smile for him again, after the stunt he's pulled.

A few notes before I start: Sorry about the white backgrounds, that’s how they showed up and I didn’t know how to fix them. Also, these summaries are going to be a lot shorter than they have in my last few posts just since there are so many characters. Anyway, let’s begin.

Literally godly, this should be your regular outfit -

Rantaro Amami - I shouldn’t have to be the first person to point out to you that he’s hot. Not to mention that the pink bottoms work wonders with his hair.

Nagito Komaeda - Hhhhhhhh

Byakuya Togami - I will admit, I’m basing this position more off of his appearance in the promo art. I don’t know how much I like this look on his regular sprite, but he’s so hot in that promo art, you don’t even know.

Sayaka Maizono - SHE LOOKS SO CUTE OML. I’d go through each detail, but in short: everything.

Gundham Tanaka - Shirtless Gundham, what more can I say?

Ibuki Mioda - I absolutely adore how her swimsuit doesn’t just go with her hair, but matches it. Perfection.

Korekiyo Shinguji - When the trailer first dropped and I saw the screen with all of the released swimsuits, I immediately started scanning to see if they put Korekiyo in a wetsuit and by God, they did.

Shuichi Saihara - He looks more tired than usual, but I just have a gut feeling his other sprites will look better.

Mondo Owada - I probably should’ve put him in standard, but he looks so good without a shirt on, I couldn’t possibly.

Kaito Momota - Space shorts.

Sakura Ogami - She was actually going to be somewhere in the first tier originally, but I just can’t put her there because of the color. I probably should’ve put her down with the other people with this problem (Uhhh... okay... I guess) but I couldn’t bear to.

Cute!/Cool! -

Chihiro Fujisaki - a;lskdfh;adskfijshdkjc He’s so cute, someone help. I’m drowning in cute. He looks so excited to be wearing it, too. I think this was the best choice they could’ve gone with to not give him something too masculine or feminine, fantastic choice.

Leon Kuwata - This category was originally just going to be “Cute!” but his bottoms looked so cool, I had to put him up here.

Toko Fukawa - Not only does her swimsuit look good on her, but I love the way that they designed her and Genocide Jack to be wearing the same swimsuit in different styles. Super cool.

Tenko Chabashira - I think this was one of the only palette swaps that I actually liked. There are probably a few other swaps that I didn’t even notice, but I like this one specifically because of the color swap. She looks great in pink.

Kyoko Kirigiri - I think I would’ve normally put her in standard, but her gloves are just too cool.

Mukuro Ikusaba - Love the colors and love the pattern. Simple, yet great.

Mahiru Koizumi - Mahiru, your camera. You can’t take that in the water. Mahiru- MAHIRU

Akane Owari - This is actually the swimsuit she wore during chapter 2 in the original game and I thought she looked great both times.

Chiaki Nanami - Same as Akane, so there’s not really any reason for either one to be higher or lower than the other. Peko would be up here too, but it’s really basic.

Gonta Gokuhara - I just really like the pattern and also that he’s still carrying the thing over his shoulder. It’s really weird who got to keep accessories and who didn’t, but we’ll get there.

Masaru Daimon - He just looks so cool in his shorts, I’m sure he’s excited to have them.

Shirokuma - Despite how I may feel about Shirokuma, this is a very cute outfit for them.

Standard -

Kaede Akamatsu - Definitely the best-looking of the protagonists, even if Shuichi’s higher. He’s only higher because I have faith that his faults are because of the sprite choice. If I’m wrong, sue me.

Kirumi Tojo - This is another instance of getting to keep the accessories. She still has her headband on. Why?? It wasn’t crucial to her character or anything. I get that Kyoko has backstory reasons and Gonta and Mahiru’s personalities revolve around their items, but why Kirumi? She had other things that defined her better.

Peko Pekoyama - Like I said before, basic and kinda bland. She still looks good, though.

Fuyuhiko Kuzuryuu - He actually gained an accessory. Why does he have a necklace now? His shorts are nice, though.

Hajime Hinata - O r a n g. Or maybe red.

Maki Harukawa - Basic swimsuit, no color change whatsoever. A nice swimsuit, but nothing special.

Genocide Jack - Everything I said before about Toko’s swimsuit still applies, Genocide Jack’s is just way more boring.

Aoi Asahina - A good color swap, but not good enough to make up for her basic swimsuit.

Monomi - I like that they put her in a one-piece. Very cute. Wish they would do that all the time...

Monaca Towa - I just noticed that she is the only character other than Monomi to wear a one-piece. Why??

Makoto Naegi - The most basic swimsuit imaginable combined with his regular color scheme and pattern.

Hiroko Hagakure - I think I like that she kept her jacket? Maybe? It’s a different jacket, but it still counts.

Nagisa Shingetsu - Black and white bottoms. Okay. You do you, buddy.

Imposter - It’s fine. It’s just fine.

Sonia Nevermind - She actually looks great and is so cute. So cute that she’d be in the top tier if not for one crucial fact. If you’ll notice, I mentioned earlier that Peko, Chiaki, and Akane are all wearing the same swimsuit here that they had worn in the original second game. However, there’s another character that appears in the scene I’m talking about that is wearing a different outfit than they are here. That charcter is Sonia, who was seen in a wetsuit in the original game. It was thrown off as a joke, but I still can’t stop thinking about how pretty she looked in that wetsuit. It’s literally my profile picture for my main blog, that’s how pretty she is wearing it. I’m mad because they’re basically agreeing that she didn’t look pretty/sexy in the wetsuit when that couldn’t be more wrong.

Celestia Ludenberg - I literally just wish she was wearing a one-piece, it can be the same style and everything. Honestly a missed opportunity.

Kotoko Utsugi - It’s just a weird pattern. Love the colors, though.

K1-B0 - I’d be lying if I said I didn’t love the floaty, but he still deserves more respect.

Miu Iruma - The pattern is... fitting... but still bad.

Kiyotaka Ishimaru - Taka... sweetie... why...?

Uhhh... okay... I guess -

Angie Yonaga - I like the look, but it’s exactly what she usually wears just without the jacket. Does that mean that she’s always wearing a swimsuit? Why? Even Asahina didn’t wear a swimsuit as her regular outfit.

Kazuichi Soda - I definitely like this color better than the piss yellow he used to have, but it’s still not great. I like that he got to keep his little logo thing, but I’m confused as to why he gets to keep his hat. It’s just like Kirumi keeping her headpiece. I’m fine with it in this case, but why him and not...? Well, we’ll get there.

Komaru Naegi - A lot of the outfits in this tier are just because I like the look and not the color scheme, including Komaru. Yellow’s just an odd fit for the shade of green that her hair is.

Tsumugi Shirogane - The same as Komaru. Nice style, but the yellow and blue clash for me.

Hiyoko Saionji - Surprise surprise, it’s the same thing. I think the style really fits her, but I hate the yellow and green. Not into it.

Junko Enoshima - Ok, we’re out of the color scheme repetition. I don’t know why she’s wearing a tanktop. It just looks a little off, but I can’t place why. I don’t know why she isn’t just wearing the regular swimsuit like she was in the promo art. If she was, I’d probably put her in Standard.

Yasuhiro Hagakure - I’ll be honest, I didn’t notice the alien pattern on his shorts until after I had already downloaded the picture and closed out of the tier list tab. If I had noticed before, I’d probably put him in Cute!/Cool! but I still don’t really like the color scheme. Fitting, but not pleasing.

Kurokuma - The only reason he’s above Kokichi is because he has a water gun and I think that’s cute.

Kokichi Oma - Literally just gut instinct. I like that he kept his checkered pattern and purple color scheme. Something just told me he should be down here.

Monokuma - It just feels wrong, but I can’t place why, same as Kokichi.

Teruteru Hanamura - I probably would’ve liked his outfit better if his shirt was buttoned up at least a little bit. Now that I think about it, Mondo should’ve had one of these, too.

Nekomaru Nidai - I can absolutely see him picking this swimsuit to wear, but that doesn’t mean I like it.

Ryoma Hoshi - So Mahiru gets to keep her camera, Kirumi gets to keep her headpiece, and Kazuichi gets to keep his hat.. but Ryoma doesn’t get anything? I genuinely had to take a second to figure out who this was the first time I saw him. He can’t even have a sunhat or anything? That would’ve been cute.

Himiko Yumeno - I can’t imagine a world in which she would choose this swimsuit for herself. The color is off, the style is off, I could much more easily see her wearing something similar to Monaca’s swimsuit. Basically, just let some of the girls wear one-pieces. They don’t all have to be in bikinis.

Jataro Kemuri - The pattern. I can’t even stand to look at it long enough to figure out what it is.

Hifumi Yamada - It did take me a second to figure out what his swimsuit was, but as soon as I did, he hit the bottom of the list. Again, it’s definitely fitting, but I still hate it.

I really hate to be negative, and I don't even like sharing my opinions all that much, but Loki was not... good.

Like the show was not... good.

Until Kang the Conqueror showed up and made me feel like it was actually worth it to watch the 6 episodes.

None of the characters were likable (except Mobius) and all of the Loki's felt like boring, repetitive caricatures of themselves.

I didn't lean into either of the ships, as none of the characters seemed to have any chemistry with each other.

The show seemed to drag on and each episode was so full of filler. That's the problem with all of these mcu shows. They have so little to say and try to stretch it into six episodes, which is still to much. There was filler in WandaVision and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, but at least their filler was interesting.

I genuinely considered not watching the last episode of Loki, but now I'm glad I did.

Everything Kang said had me nodding along. Everything he said made me dislike Loki and Sylive more, because he was just pointing out all of their flaws. "Grow up! Murderer! Hypocrite!"

He was only honest with them and gave them so many options. Kill me, take my job, plunge us into chaos, live normal lives, etc. I liked Sylive until she proved she couldn't overcome her tunel vision, and became irritating and repetitive.

Kang was wise, level headed and quite funny. Everything a good antagonist should be. He wanted to do the best thing he knew how to do, had a noble goal and was the linchpin for staving off choas and madness. He's the only character whose motivations I could get behind and he had a really Interesting story.

The sucky part is that Marvel tries to save these surprise charcters for the end and he was "saved" until the last second. I would have much preferred this show if it was more Kang focused.

Also, Jonathan Majors played him to perfection and made him so charismatic and likeable.

It's sad going into the Loki tag and seeing almost nothing about him, because he saved the show for me.

Now I'm excited about what the rest of phase 4 has to offer. Bring on THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS!

THANK YOU FOR SAYING THAT ABT THE BSD MANGA ILY THANK YOU I FEEL LIKE MY OPINION IS FINALLY VALIDATED WHICH IS: BSD has turned meh. I have become indifferent towards the plot due to the fact there are no real stakes - I feel like the OP characters like Dazai will always have a solution with a deus ex machina feel to it, making it impossible for me to care. With the recent chaos happening in the manga (I too gave up on the manga a year or so ago!), I was baffled to find out I could no longer enjoy it. My memory is poor, and I can't really pinpoint it at the moment, but BSD just... doesn't engage me as it used to. Keep in mind I was an obsessive fan of it and analyzed it to the tiniest details, but all of my great love for the series has long died, sadly. But! I am glad to hear you feel similarly about it because, yes, the potential was there, but it got terribly wasted.

Bruh don't I feel it, me and @autumn-foxfire have like monthly bitch sessions about the state of bsd at this point. I was also super invested in it in initial arcs (Up until the guild arc ended) and then slowly started petering off only to drop it the first time around the hunting dogs introduction. Then after some time i was like okay ill go give it a second shot, came to the vampire arc went 'wow this is really fuckin stupid' and dropped it again. Idk will I pick it up again, maybe I'll just stick to being an anime only, even tho I also have problems with some adaptation things but that's BESIDES THE POINT.

The thing about Kafka is: He's really good at coming up with interesting concepts and ideas and REALLY BAD at executing them in any sort of satisfying way. Like, when I say I only like bsd until the end of the guild arc, I don't mean it was perfect. It could have handled it's female cast better, it would have been fun to see more mafia and agency team ups besides soukoku and shin soukoku, I still don't get why shin soukoku is supposed to be a replacement in training since Dazai and Chuuya still work together perfectly and even if they hate each other they hate each other less than Akutagawa and Atsushi AND have way more experience fighting together but that once again is besides the point. The point being those arcs of bsd were SATISFYING. We got introduced to two organizations, seen them butt heads and then have them forced to work together against a common enemy. It's very simple but it's effective and it's satisfying.

And then the rats struck.

While up until then bsd wasn't perfect it was fun and had lovable characters and an interesting plot and engaging dynamics. Rats arc wasn't horrible per say, the idea of the cannibalization was really fun (Though I think Kafka should have used it to get rid of Mori, nobody fuckin likes Mori) but this is where we slowly get introduced to what I think are two main failings of Kafka's writing: That he's unable to handle characters properly and that he likes writing smart things but doesn't know how to write smart things.

Kafka has a very, very bad habit of INTRODUCING TOO MANY FUCKING CHARCTERS. Every arc is a new massive group with like a bunch of members, one of who may actually end up being fleshed out before they are inventiblely replaced by another large group or maybe two why the fuck not. The mafia and the guild left lasting impressions on me and I can still name all the main members but fuck me if i know a single rat aside from Fyodor (AND ILL GET TO FYODOR). Kafka feels like someone who's idea of rising conflict is 'introduce a bigger enemy each time' and it's just so annoying. Chapters and arcs end up centering around these groups of new characters while old characters, who we loved the manga for, just fall into obscurity. He almost had me in the hunting dogs arc by giving Yosano a backstory. I was so excited! I was like!!! finally development for the agency!!! But that barely went anywhere did it. I've talked about this with Foxy but it really feels like Kafka is just BORED of the og characters and is trying to silently sideline them for his new shiny characters. When's the last time we saw Chuuya again, you know, the ex partner of one of the series protagonists? The next predicted mafia head? Is he important? Foxy tells me Dazai's been sidelined too, fUCKIN DAZAI, for a good while I was sure Kafka liked Dazai a lot better than Atsuhi for protagonist and now he's getting sidelined. I know bsd is still really popular in japan but at this point i think it would have been more merciful for Kafka to just end bsd and start a new manga with new characters instead of doing whatever weird metamorphosis this is turning out to be.

Introducing new characters isn't a bad thing of course, but bsd has become mcdonalds of new characters. They are cheap and disposable. I can't feel anything for them because I know nine times out of ten they'll barely make any impact and they'll disappear as soon as the new group slides in. When adding new characters you should do so while knowing what role those characters will play in your plot, what will they bring. If a character is just there to waffle around until they get shoved away they should probably be cut because they are wasting time and space. AND YOU SHOULDN'T SIDE LINE YOUR CORE CAST FOR UR SHINY NEW CHARACTERS YOU'LL GET BORED OF IN COUPLE OF ARCS ANYWAY, ARE YOU A TODDLER???

I still think that bsd could have been SO much better if instead of focusing on the next big evil group they just focused on shifting tension between the agency and the mafia. I mean they've had to team up for the guild and then they immediately got thrown into the cannibalization. It would have been interesting to see them pull against and pull towards those ties made during the guild arc when they are forcefully pitted against each other again (and decide that killing mori would be in everyone's best interest). Instead we got, idk I already forgot what the rats arc ended up being about, atsushi and aku team up again yadda yadda yadda, Chuuya gets done dirty and never recovers, Fyodor ruins Dazai

SO ABOUT FYODOR. As I said, Kafka strikes me as someone who REALLY likes to write geniuses and who wants people to think he's super smart but also has no idea how to show his work. At first this was okay. We had Dazai and Ranpo who were very good at pushing the plot along and sometimes you'd get explained how they got to that conclusion and sometimes you didn't but it usually wasn't a big deal. But then the writing became more and more and more of 'well he's smart so he figured it out so just trust me' without actually explaining anything and as you said, it ended up feeling boring, unengaging and very deus ex machina. You know what Kafka's writing reminds me off? That video about how Sherlock is so happy to stroke itself to how smart they look while never showing their work, you know the one. Kafka likes writing smart characters but doesn't actually know how to write smart characters so instead of giving us reasons and clues and explanations to how they come to some conclusion, how they predicted or planned or whatever, he just goes 'oh well they are super smart so they figured it out'. I don't think I need to explained why this is bad, annoying and unengaging writing. This is why i say Fyodor ruined Dazai for me, Dazai was fine as a genius but then they had to pit him against Fyodor who's another genius and things just got ridiculous. You know how in that sherlock video the guy points out the one scene that encapsulates every irritating thing about sherlocks writing. This had been it for me and BSD (thank you Foxy for helping me find the panels)

THATS NOT HOW CODES WORK, THATS NOT HOW ANYTHING WORKS, THEY WOULD JUST BE COMING UP WITH TWO DIFFERENT SETS OF CODES HERE. Even if they were both smart enough to remember every conversation in detail, how on earth are they supposed to 'guess out' what the other means. How are they supposed to confirm or deny that's what a certain word means in a way that can be understood, how can they even guess what the word the other guessed is IF THEY ARE BOTH TALKING IN CODE. KAFKA'S ANSWER: THEY'RE MONSTERS, THEY ARE JUST THAT SMART, NO NEED TO EXPLAIN IT BECAUSE THEY ARE JUST THAT SMART AND THAT'S YOUR SOLUTION AND THAT'S BULLSHIT. This scene broke bsd in half for me and honestly made me dislike Dazai for a long time (I got better), but it honestly shows so well how Kafka wanted to make his characters so smart he actually made his manga really fuckin stupid, ruining very good and interesting concept he had started with.

In the end, Kafka writes how I wrote when I was 15. With no idea where the plot is headed, adding new characters and situations whenever it strikes his fancy whether they work for the story or not, ending up just flopping around plot holes and fizzled out character arcs and boring ass writing. And that's fine for a 15yr old writing fanfiction. It's not fine for a presumably grown ass published author of a relatively popular manga.

I’ve been reflecting a lot on Cas’ recent confession of love and the responses I’ve been seeing across tumblr and Twitter. As a Destiel fic writer, I am thrilled to see this become canon and as a queer woman, also really touched to see how much Misha has embraced this as a really significant thing. I already ordered my Only Love merch. So I’m content with it all as much as it is. SPN has never made queer representation its issue. SPN *has* responded to its fanbase, who have both pushed the importance of representation and also brought the actors into a realm of growth over queer issues that they may never have come to without this show and this fandom. For that reason, I don’t think it’s helpful to be mad at Jensen or the Showrunners for Destiel not being perfect. You don’t have to celebrate them as allies, but the anger and vitriol just doesn’t help, in my opinion.

BUT...where my thoughts have been going is around what it means to be an actor in a ‘ship and what the impact of the story has on the actors, the fandom, and the constant dance of who controls the story because I think this has been something that even with straight characters has had serious impacts on how fans feel about an ending.

My first fandom, Starsky & Hutch, was mostly written by a gay man who wrote “straight” characters because that was what they had to be in 1974. The characters and show plots were such that the actors felt the love underneath the words and acted accordingly. Back then, it wasn’t so much queer baiting as queer coding. I find it amazing that my parents never thought for a minute Starsky and Hutch were gay, but even as a 7 year old, I knew they were in love and saw them that way. And anyone who watches the show now, it’s so clear that it’s almost laughable. When their show won the Peopel’s Choice award in 1977, David Soul said in his acceptance speech that the best part of being on this show was that people saw two men who “could be anything”. He knew that queer folk read their characters as gay and that straight folks saw them as straight and he was happy for both to be true. While the show never had an explicitly romantic declaration, the characters held hands, hugged, and in the final episode, their final scene is Hutch crawling into Starsky’s hospital bed with him, something done with amusement, but was completely coded to mean something else. It was never “canon”, but the ‘ship has lasted 46 years with new fic being written even now.

In the new SW films, actor Oscar Isaac was not at all quiet about his feelings that his character, Poe Dameron, was in love with Finn. He stated he played him that way (and was not directed otherwise) and he even explicitly asked for that ship to be made canon. He was told no and that is not how the story ended. The romance plot was instead focused on two other characters. Some fans liked that. Many didn’t. In general, though, the story is open-ended enough that shippers could have Stormpilot be their ship and there is nothing that really contradicts that. In that scenario, Oscar had his sense of who this character was and felt strongly about that, but in the end, it wasn’t his story, so the ending was what it was.

Hawai’i Five-0 ended its 10 year run last spring. Actor Scott Caan said in an interview during the show’s 5-year mark that he wanted to see his charcter have a romantic story line with his other lead, Steve McGarrett. And while Scott did not go so far as Oscar Isaac did to say he made his acting choices based on that, watching him and Alex play their characters, there was definitely some intention to show their characters as loving one another. Actor Alex O’Loughlin voiced a few times over the years that he felt his character would not get back together with Catherine, a woman his character was on-again, off-again with, because he felt Steve had reached his limit with what Catherine had done to him. The series made a decision to end with Steve leaving Hawai’i behind and flying away with Catherine. Neither actor has commented much about the show’s ending, but clearly it went against what both actors had publicly expressed in the past. Again, they don’t control the story, but they do understand their characters after playing them for so many years and they are invested in that. In that sense, the actor’s subsequent silence about how the show ended says quite a bit. And McDanno fans were very unsatisfied with the show’s ending, myself included.

So we come to Destiel. Over the years, this ship has been very controversial in part because one actor (Misha) has clearly been OK with his character being perceived as being in love with Dean, while the other actor (Jensen) has not. At times he has been very negative about it, and that has been taken by some fans to imply how Jensen feels about homosexuality in general. I’m not convinced it does, but I understand why people feel that way. Over the 12 years since Cas’ introduction on the show, there clearly has been a shift from the writers and showrunners avoiding the topic entirely, to talking about it, and now to having Cas confess his feelings of love to Dean in canon. In the days since, Misha has been unequivocal in saying Cas is romantically in love with Dean and that he has played him that way, at least for this season and likely longer. Misha is proud that he was able to advocate for Cas to be gay and he clearly understands why it is important for the show to have made this choice. For Jensen’s part, however, he has stated he has not played Dean that way and from video clips of him talking about the show’s ending, it appears that he needed some convincing to accept this as the story. To his credit though, once he was convinced that this was something show creator (Eric Kripke) could envision as part of Dean’s character arc, he was on-board with this ending and feels statisfied with it. And I think some of the frustration folks feel stems from both in how the actors portrayed their characters and in which takes were chosen to be in the final cuts of episodes. In that way, the show has fed this ship, whether the actors realized it or not, and that is why Destiel has felt particularly painful at times. The fanbase has been gaslighted for seeing it at all (from actors and showrunners) while the directors have seemed to go out of their way to choose shots where the actor’s choices were more tender and affectionate and write lines where characters make explicit statements about Dean and Cas as romantic. I can’t help but wonder if Jensen really didn’t see Dean as being in love with Cas, but that we saw Jensen’s own affinity for Misha bleed through in their incredible chemsitry together or if Jensen has just been in denial of this ‘ship having teeth for his own personal reasons. I don’t know and so far, he hasn’t been willing to talk about that. Maybe he will once it’s over. Maybe he won’t and I’m not going to be angry with him for it. He’s an incredible actor and he’s lived this character for 15 years, so he has a right to who he believed Dean is and isn’t.

The issues of representation continue to be pressing and what I see happening with Destiel and these other ‘ships is exciting because it shows growth on all sides. We have audiences able to voice not only how they perceive characters without shame but can express a desire for characters to be together. None of that is new for straight characters, but it is for queer characters. We have actors who not only can see these same things, but feel enough ownership of their characters to expresss what they believe their characters would do or feel. And we have showrunners who are going to make their story, sometimes in response to feedback from their fans and actors, and sometimes in spite of it.

What Destiel becoming canon gives me hope for is that as new shows come into being, characters that take off, actors who have unexpected chemistry, and ‘ships that gain a life of their own, will lead to shows that are less inclined to care if those ships are queer or not and just go with what fans respond to. That it will normalize that people can (and do) come out an all different times of life, even after being het-married, having kids, or presenting as straight to everyone else for 40 years. That it will reflect that sometimes, it’s not about having been queer or straight from the beginning, but be about that ONE relationship that just is different, special, or grows into a deep love regardless of the genders of the people. I hope we can get to a place where deep intimacy between same-gender characters doesn’t have to be a war over romance vs. platonic and the story can just develop without the pressure of representation because queer characters will be so prevalent that we don’t have to feel like we must cling so tightly to every one we get. I hope we can come to a place where sometimes relationships don’t go romantic because one person (regardless of gender) just doesn’t feel that way, because that is very fucking true in real life. I want to watch shows where the sexual identity of any character doesn’t have to be etched in stone from the word go, never to change ever because that’s boring and limiting, and honestly, not real life.

I am deeply grateful for actors like Isaac, Caan, and Collins who are willing to see characters outside the heteronormative lens and to advocate for queer romantic arcs. I’m thankful to showrunners who are making shows with greater queer representation than ever before. And I’m grateful to actors like Ackles, who while it wasn’t who he thought his character was, was able to expand his view enough to go where the story was going to go. The arc of the universe does bend towards justice, and we will get there. Until then, there’s fic. And thank God for that.
