Cat Litter/Food Necessity

a friend of mine really needs help gathering up the money for vet care for his cat. we’re very worried about both of them, this kitty means the world to him and we’re not sure how long he’ll stick around if something happens to him. i'm drowning and i don't know how much more of this i can take. the last few months have been the worst of my life.

i've lost two close friends. i've been learning about my abuse as a child and later SA on top of my already existing mental illnesses and other diagnosis. as if i needed more trauma, my cats, my babies, have been terribly sick.

i've already lost one (chompy, bottom right) to kidney disease. toothless and copper (right side) needed emergency dentals and we nearly lost toothless. then chachi (top left), my light, got a tumor and i got the worst news of my life. her breast cancer is back and it's aggressive. idk what i'm going to do without her.

everything has amounted to $999 and that's only so far. i'm a struggling, queer latina who is the breadwinner of my family of 5 (two of which are my parents who were/are my abusers and i cannot afford to leave) and i make below the average salary.

Please help our cats emergency vet visit

Please if you can, we could really use some help. Our girls accidentally got into an Easter lily. For those who don't know, lilies are incredibly toxic for cats. We got them to the vets right away and they are being monitored, but just this alone is really expensive and we want to do everything we can.

help my family afford to get my dog the treatment she needs

this is my almost 7 year old corgi named macy!! she’s had chronic ear infections due to allergies for the past 4-5 years of her life. the vets never give us a straight answer, always saying it’s some sort of allergy that could be food related, something airborne, or even something in the house. they flush her ears and then send us home with steroids to stop the pain in her ears that last for 2 weeks at most and it costs us around $300 every time we go in.

recently my mother noticed blood in her urine and her taking a long time to go potty which is leading us to believe she has a bladder infection on top of her allergies. my dad is going to call the vets tomorrow and schedule an appointment to get her checked out but i have no idea how much the tests and treatment is going to run us, all i know we don’t have the money at the moment. hence us being forced to forgo getting her the steroids to help her ears.

she’s in pain every single day. i hear her crying in pain at night when i come home to visit. we have to avoid her ears when petting her or she screams out in pain. my younger sibling tells me that it’s basically a constant thing at this point.

i hate doing this but i hate seeing my dog in pain more so please consider helping if you can. literally anything helps, even a single dollar. i offer all sorts of divination readings if you’d like to buy one to help.

My cat is going for surgery this week, to properly clean out her ear canal of infection.

If this doesn't work, her only options are complete ear canal removal (estimated to cost £3000) or to be euthanized (as without constant painkillers, she is in pain and rapidly looses weight)

It is a long shot, seeing barely anyone follows my blog. But if it came to the expensive surgery, would anyone care to donate to a go fund me?

Hemophiliac Dog in Need of Donations

Hi all,

Any of you who know me in real life know that animals are a huge part of my world, and I tend to take on the ones who need a little extra TLC.

A little over a year ago, I posted on here asking for some assistance with an emergency situation with one of my dogs, Rufio, who ended up getting a diagnosis of EPI. I’m happy to report that we now have his situation under control and he is doing so much better!

Unfortunately, we have had another emergency come up with Patrick, my hemophiliac dog.

This was Patrick as a baby. Animal control brought him in after finding him wandering on the streets with a large lump the size of a potato on his back between the shoulder blades. When I was fostering him, the vets initially thought it might be a tumor or something and sought to operate. It turned out to just be a giant hematoma (basically a bruise) instead and he nearly bled out from the surgery. It took three blood transfusions to get him stable. Hemophilia, however, isn’t super common in dogs so that’s not immediately where their minds went.

Fast forward a few months to when the rescue did his neuter…and he almost bled out AGAIN. Neuters are usually quick and simple and heal up easily. He bled for three days. I had pee pads soaked through with blood. Parts of my house looked like a murder scene. This was even AFTER the vets had tried cauterizing and stapling the area. It just WOULD NOT stop bleeding. His entire underside turned BLACK from all the bruising. (The pic below is from a later bruise but you can get the idea.)

Patrick has been fortunate in that since we adopted him, most of his issues have been manageable at our local vet up until this point. A few days ago, however, my hyper, lovable goofball who usually will dash for a piece of food the second it hits the floor decided that he did not feel like getting up for breakfast.

He went from “I am going to drag mom after this squirrel across the yard” to “I don’t want to even get up to pee unless I REALLY have to.” And then he stopped showing interest in CHICKEN. And even though there weren’t any outward signs of a bleed, I knew something was VERY wrong. We rushed him to the emergency vet yesterday where they did a bunch of imaging (x-rays, ultrasounds, and a CT) to determine the possible cause of the bleed in his abdomen and gave him some much-needed blood transfusions and cryoprecipitate.

He’s on the mend and will hopefully be coming home soon…but the total cost for this is going to be somewhere between $6,000 and $10,000. Fortunately, the rescue we worked with when fostering him—Too Broke Girls Dog Rescue basked out of upstate South Carolina—has been willing to help fundraise. Hi everyone. This is my friend’s cat Luigi!

As you can see he’s broken his leg and tore all the ligaments surrounding the break. Our options right now are either amputation or surgery. Since it is his back leg amputation would cause him a lot of problems, but the surgery is upwards of $2000 so we’re scrambling to scrape the money together.
