Hello! If anyone's got any money to spare, this cat shelter in Brazil is in desperate need of donations - on risk of having to stop their work.

People constantly leave abandoned cats on their building and they need almost 10.000 reais ( About 2k USD) to keep going.

Hey folks!

I hope you're all doing well. I'm reaching out to you today because I could really use your help. I'm in a bit of a bind right now and I need some help paying my rent. I hate to ask for help, but I'm really in a tough spot and I'm not sure what else to do.

Here's the deal: I've hit a rough patch and I'm struggling to make ends meet. I've been working hard and doing everything I can to keep up with my bills, but it's just not enough. I've fallen behind on my rent and I need to come up with the money ASAP or I might lose my place.

That's why I've started this GoFundMe campaign. I'm hoping to raise enough money to cover my rent and get back on my feet. I know times are tough for a lot of people right now, and I don't want to take anyone's hard-earned money for granted. But if you're in a position to help, I would be forever grateful.

NEED HELP URGENTLY

I'm a 26 year old non-binary trans person. I can't work due to PTSD. I'm in a lot of debt and have no money right now. I'm trying to get on disability.

I need assistance affording some of my meds this month. I don't typically have to pay for my meds but, I'm going through a really bad break up and my antidepressants accidentally got mailed to my ex. I have not been doing well without them but the doctor and pharmacy said there's nothing I can do except pay out of pocket. It's $40.

Im in the process of finding a second job to pay bills and rent. Unfortunately a storm came through my area and knocked out my power on Friday. As of this post it’s Monday and crews are finally out here to restore power. Which means all my refrigerator food is shot.

Also, my car is low on gas and I have to pay rent in a couple weeks. I have a dogsitting job at the end of the month but it won’t clear rent.

i’m studying english literature in university, while trying to gain freedom both economically and socially. this summer, i found a job, found a house and moved in with my girlfriend. everything went good, until the moment my parents rejected me because of my sexuality and my workplace went bankrupt. i was imagining about saving money to move to a queer-friendly country to live with my wife in peace, but now, i cannot even shop for essential groceries.

the only chance i have to swiftly save my girlfriend and myself from this country and economy we’re struggling with is your help. i have created a wishtender account in which i’ve created many wishes, so that any amount of donation you are able to make can contribute to my life.

i will be creating a lot of content for everyone to enjoy or maybe learn from, and i will never request any kind of payment for something that you can find online on your own. i will be sharing every step of my journey online, simply because i love the fact that internet is connecting the whole world together.

donating to Wikipedia is so funny. I had a prepaid gift card I wanted to kill off so I donated like $2.11 and got a reply email that was just "Thank you so much. I owe you my life. You are the most important person in the universe I love you" and then dead silence for a full year before "hey... last year.. you gave us two dollars. It was the nicest thing anyone has ever done for us. Would you possibly be willing to do it again? No worries if not. Sorry to bother you. I love you"

with motaz evacuating to qatar, and the global strike concluding in a few days, some people might take this as a sign to stop donating, spreading awareness about palestine, or just staying informed altogether. please don't do that. please keep talking about it and sharing credible ways to fund humanitarian aid in palestine. it's not over until an official ceasefire is declared, and even then it'll be a long way to earn palestine its statehood. never allow the atrocities committed in palestine to fade out of memory.

I AM DOING A HUNGER STRIKE FOR GAZA

It has been almost 200 days of genocide in Gaza, and during this time Palestinians have been in the worst stage of starvation and famine. Children have begun dying from starvation and malnutrition, and more and more photos of Palestinian children are coming out where the child is nothing more than skin and bones.

Personally, I know I take the food I eat for granted every single day. I am no more deserving of a meal than the children of Gaza, so for that reason me and a few of my friends will be doing a minimum of FIVE day hunger strike in solidarity with my brothers and sisters in Palestine.

We will be starting on 1 May, as to hunger strike safely there is preparation needed. I making this post now in case anyone wants to join me and will want to prepare. I am not doing a dry hunger strike, I will be having fluids and I also don’t believe I will be able to hunger strike safely for more than 15 days for health reasons.

If you send me proof of a $50 USD donation to Anera (the equivalent of feeding 180 Palestinians), I will add ONE day to my hunger strike (a maximum of 15 days)

If you want to participate, please do your research and do it safely. I am doing this for the Gazan children who don’t have a choice right now, and I know in my heart I owe it to them. There is so much we consider a basic right and take for granted that people in Gaza don’t have access to. This hunger strike is solely in solidarity/raise money for Anera, there is no specific end result.

#rug hooking #wip #purely personals #fabrication #older sis is getting a swan and bb sis is getting an otter #went out today and donated a bunch of yarn at an art supply swap thing #was nice that they had small amounts of yarn/not full skeins that other people donated #because I don't really need a whole ass skein especially if it's solid color #I just want bits and pieces so I can do stuff like the swan background #like this a lot more than latchhook; like latchhook would be pixel art and rug hooking is more like drawing/more freeform #oH it's also nice that all that yarn I prechopped for latchhook I can still use for rug hooking haha #also went to a fabric store and it was crammed full of stuff and the yarn selection was actually really nice #will def go back
