QSMP's Candidates Statements (Translated)

From QuackityToo June 19th Stream.

DISCLAIMER: My native language is Brazilian Portuguese, not Spanish nor English. Due to that and the differences in language expression, I made some changes/paraphrases while translating to accommodate the context, but the overall understanding remains 98% loyal to each candidate’s speech.

BadBoyHalo

BBH proposes that he is the only person capable of carrying out the necessary decisions that the president of Quesadilla Island must take. He believes he is the only one who has the courage to make the difficult decisions necessary to keep the island safe and sound for the residents and prevent a dictator from taking power, all while protecting the eggs.

Foolish

Foolish is excited about the opportunity that the island has provided. He says he wants to enjoy and make the most of the situation because it's not every day that you end up on a crazy island with a diverse population speaking a variety of languages. Some people would prefer to get out of here [Quesadilla] as soon as possible, but he wants to make friends with everyone and enjoy everything the island has to offer.

Etoiles

Etoiles stated that he is charismatic, generous, and that the only negativity he carries is for himself and never for others. Etoiles sets out to explore the island in order to better understand the environment of where they are; he will visit as many dungeons as he needs to get a better understanding of the island.

Baghera

Baghera stated that she has her head screwed on the right way and wishes only the best for the islanders. She values communication and maintains positive relationships with everyone. Baghera believes she is capable of dealing with any fervor or rash situations that may arise. Quesadilla Island is where she was introduced to motherhood, and as a result, she has a specific goal. The place that gave her family and friends is one she must protect at all costs.

Felps

Felps work(ed) as a shipping officer, bus driver, artist, and gardener. What he wants to do is make everyone happy by giving more rights to eggs, noodles, and pasta.

Forever

Forever stated that he is one of the most active players on the island, and as such, he will always be there to protect the people's interests. As a professional Minecraft player, he has many ideas for community projects. Forever describes Richarlyson as one of the happiest things that has happened to him, as well as meeting all of the island's inhabitants (despite the fact that the French make a lot of noise at the egg hotel), given how everyone is very friendly and entertaining.

Mike

Mike promised to restore order to Quesadilla Island, his favorite aspect of the island being the islanders themselves. He would forbid the use of waystones, which would improve the island's dynamics by forcing players to build paths between their bases, allowing them to finally implement a railroad train system.

Cellbit

Cellbit has had prior work experience as a tribute (HG), murderer, prisoner, and detective. He claimed to be Roier's husband, capable of making eloquent arguments and pose intricate inquiries in various scenarios and circumstances. In summary, he believes he is a good president for the Island's future, both for introducing new creative ideas and new narratives to other content creators, as well as for protecting the eggs. His husband, son, and friends are his most valuable things on the island.

Gegg

I swear this isn’t bad translated; it is literally what has been said.

Gegg said he's a businessman, going door to door Gegging. He's a Geggwar criminal. He is an influencer of the family lifestyle. Gegg changes the world. What Gegg likes most about Quesadilla Island is the humidity, the damp places and caves. Gegg promises you freedom. Gegg promises the truth. Gegg promises you power. Gegg promises the abolition of all government rules, taxes and any existing laws. The government establishment holds us, so Gegg will release us. Just one geggrule: believe in Gegg, because Gegg believes in you.

El Quackity

His speech is about his character as well as the election scenario (from the perspective of a Content Creator, not a character). I decided to put it all together because it was somewhat scrambled and also because it was an important reminder for the community.

According to ElQuackity, there is a lack of organization and order. He believes that in the ideal scenario, this can be resolved. He believes that his candidacy in this work and position is critical, and that it will be the best possible. One thing to be clear about it: during his campaign, he will do whatever it takes to ensure that the people have a good president. Thus, he reminds and states that this election event isn’t predetermined, scripted, or planned, and there is no pre-written ending. Elections will be decided by the votes of creators, the efforts of creators, and the votes of the community. He warns that if If he decides to kill a candidate or an egg because it suits his political campaign, he will do so. And, if another candidate decides to kill him for their own benefit, it will be done. No one (except the creators) can say anything to encourage another narrative. We, as a community, need to understand that none of the creators will truly hate each other if one decides to attack the other or kill the other for their own campaign benefit. He encourages the community to support their favorite candidate, but if a creator decides to do something bad to another creator within the game at any time, those who send hate towards creators for actions taken by players in game will be rightfully banned and restricted from all QSMP chat streams. It is, after all, a game. It's a block game. The decisions made within the game will be made by the creators themselves. If the creators ever have a disagreement, it will be solved in private DMs. And nothing bad will ever happen because all the QSMP members are adults who understand that this is all for entertainment purposes. The QSMP Elections ARE for entertainment purposes ONLY.

Rui Kamishiro

You two are partners in crime. That said, you don't go too far with the crazy ideas.

As much as you love how creative he can be, you have to remind Rui not to blow up the house and bother the neighbours with explosions.

You have mini prank wars all the time, the winner is often decided by who pulls the most impressive ones

There's a lot more to Rui than pranks and explosions! If you're having a bad day, he always whips something up in his workshop to cheer you up. You'd be surprised how little time he needs to make something if he applies himself.

Rui can struggle with ideas but just spending time with you is enough to fill his head with tons of them

Akito Shinonome

You can be irritating but he loves you a lot ☺️

Karaoke is a frequent thing for the two of you, Akito doesn't like to say it out loud but he loves your singing voice and that's why he suggests karaoke so much.

He gets a bit embarrassing expressing his feelings through words but that doesn't mean he loves you any less, he does his best to show his affection through actions.

Akito's protective but not possessive. When you go out he will ask you where you're going but solely out of safety concerns- he trusts you and would never suspect you of anything wrong.

Toya Aoyagi

He's literally so sweet 😭If anything's up he'll go through any obstacle to help, his father didn't support him much in his childhood so he's decided to support his loved ones much better than his father could ever support him.

Toya's a dry texter, if you text him anything, ANYTHING AT ALL, he will somehow find a way to respond in the most monotone way ever. It's not intentional but you find it hilarious when he responds to a meme with a simple "haha".

Mornings are peaceful. Usually, the two of you just sit in the kitchen in your PJs together drinking coffee in silence.

He's an awful cook but he tries his best. In an attempt to help him out, you cook with him and give him some tips. Your help is beneficial but that doesn't mean that it won't always end in disaster. After training him for a while, Toya was trusted with the duty of making dinner. He decided to make Thai green curry with noodles however, when he realised that you were out of noodles and coconut milk he substituted them with spaghetti and cow milk. Havoc embarked and later that night, you were served a dire bowl of spaghetti in milk. You couldn't touch the meal and ordered takeaway pizza for the two of you instead 😭

How do the boys end up taking care of Mei? She has parents, AND they're rich enough to afford a dedicated nanny rather than leave her with a bunch of randos at a noodle shop. No shade to them, but I just don't think a restaurant is the first place I'd go for child care.

The situation with Mei is... complicated.

Macaque and Wukong run into the Long/Dragon parents on accident early on. Mrs Long was heavily pregnant at the time, and started chatting with Macaque as they waited in the same (supernatural) doctor's office. Wukong takes one look at the couple and ID's one of them as being related to Ao Lie. Wukong is sentimental and *may* have blown his cover a little to the Long couple whilst talking about his old stable buddy.

The Long couple are both delighted to meet someone that knew their predecessor, but also nervous cus; Wait, is that The Monkey King? And he's having a baby too!?

Tense teatimes are had.

Then the Long baby is born.

And neither monkey understand why the Long couple are disappointed. ("Whats wrong with a little girl? She's perfect.")

Little Xiaojiao is born perfectly healthy. A light dusting of green scales develop over her skin. Tiny nubs of what will become antlers poke through her scalp.

And the fingerprint of a primordial fire raging within her.

Wukong *knows* the second he sees her, that little Mei (he called her a little plum due to her scrunched up newborn face) is carrying the Samadhi fire. And he vows to protect her at all costs. The Long couple offer that he and Macaque become Mei's godparents - being the strongest individuals they know. They accept.

Macaque and Wukong frequently babysit little Mei at the Long's household. She's given the same luxuries as a little princess, but all she wants is to be held by them. The monkey couple notice a significant... lack of interest on the Long couple's part in their own daughter. And the Monkey King is known for hoarding treasures he deems unappriciated...

Far later on; something terrible happens to the Long family. Something caused by an individual who sensed the Samadhi fire sleeping in her crib, and wanted to steal her and all the treasures within the museum of a home. By the end of the night, Little Mei ends up living with her godparents.

It takes Pigsy a few days to realise that the little green-clad baby girl has been staying over multiple nights in a row. He tries to protest, but he ends up wrapped around Mei's tiny dragon-hooved finger.

Tang freaks out a little, cus while he knows that decendants of dragons exist; he's never seen a baby dragon before. Mei quickly wins him over too when she tries affectionately biting him with her gummy maw.

Sandy is completely taken by surprise when he meets her. He thought he had at least a few more months before he became an uncle! Luckily it takes very little for the sleepy baby dragon to make him absolutely adore her.

Mei develops an understanding that while she isn't with her birth family anymore, that she's very much loved where she is. And when her adoptive siblings needs company, she's always there. She does wonder why big brother Nezha and Baba cry sometimes when they hold her though.

I hope that explains enough without spoiling too much.

james gets them matching pyjama sets for cheap (because he is a bulk sales person and couponer and if smth can be bartered for he WILL do it) and they wear it in james' crammed apartment and in his small bed that creaks way too much especially at night when they're getting handsy oops!

and james is definitely looked down at a lot in the offices and he can hold his own but reg is just.. Regulus and he flays people alive for even looking at james the wrong way. will fire an entire fucking department for gossiping about him and his 'cheap' clothes and how he takes public transport to work (james doesn't give a fuck. really. he will maintain eye contact while eating his meal prepped beef and noodles thank you very much).

james just isnt about that expensive life. this au is also for me to experiment with like a james that isn't rich when it comes to money but very rich when it comes to immaterial things! experiences. dynamics. love. the tiny things in life! he doesn't want grand gestures and doesn't want to be a sugar baby and will get mad when reg splurges on things bc _We don't need that_ and _I'm just fine looking after myself thank you_ and tbh I think the potter family is still well off but james wants to accomplish things on his own and is quite content living a modest life that's not wealth focussed!

like they have a date or some anniversary coming up and reg forgets bc he goes to a meeting instead and just leaves a quick message and buys james smth expensive as apology and james is absolutely not having it. absolutely ruins the thing he received, sends it back with a note 'My house. 11 p.m. Do not go to your meeting.' and angry fucks reg when he arrives bc ofc he didn't go to the meeting after seeing the note <3

OM!Boys Making Lunchbox for MC

TW: Mentions of food

Gets up really early to prepare your lunchbox.

Only the best ingredients are chosen for your food, so he'll buy the ingredients the night before and place some protective spells to protect the ingredients from being munched on by Beel.

Hand-cooks everything. If he decided to make you some noodles for lunch, he'd make the noodles from scratch.

Organises your lunchbox in a neat and formal way. Everything is in order to the point that it breaks your heart to eat it because it will mess with the arrangement.

Sanitises the cutlery and prepares some napkins for you.

Because he only prepared it for you, he has to be discrete while giving it to you. Else, his brothers would throw a ruckus over the fact that you have Lucifer's lunchbox while they don't.

On the occasional note that Lucifer feels extra happy in the morning, he'll prepare seven lunchboxes for all of his brothers to enjoy (Of course, yours is the most special one)

His lunch bag for you is very sophisticated looking, and you're terrified to lose it by accident. Would Lucifer get mad? Did this lunch bag cost him a fortune??

Wakes up just in time to make your lunchbox. He doesn't see the need to wake up early or anything since he'll still be the first one to finish getting ready for school compared to you.

A wild card.

Sometimes his food can taste very weird, and sometimes you can't get enough of his cooking.

Most of the time, his food will be very spicy, so if you don't have the spice tolerant for it, I'd pray for you right here and now.

And Mammon knows about this too; he'd put some milk or chocolate in your lunchbox to tone down the spice. He's not that cruel, you know?

He'll not organise his food, so you can expect to see the cutleries or napkins at the bottom of the lunch bag while the lunchbox itself is at the top of the lunch bag.

The way he plates his food is also... not so appetising, but give it a try before you comment on it because, like I said, his food can be a wild card.

Bought you the most extravagant and flashy lunchbox bag you've ever seen. But surprisingly, it's still practical as it's very durable.

Don't be surprised if the lunchbox has his initials since he wants everyone to know that the Great Mammon made you lunch today ♥

If he makes a lunchbox for you that day, he gets up earlier than usual.

Generally, his cookings never miss. But once in a while, you'll get biscuits or snacks as your lunch. If it's this way, it means that Levi is either too busy perfecting his cooking skills for your next lunchbox, or he needs your help to finish these biscuits or snacks so he can win the prize for the competition he's entering.

Anime theme lunchbox!

He'd plate your lunchbox according to themes. If it's action day, you'll get some epic drawings made out of sauce and seaweeds on top of your bento. If it's romance day, you'll get a bunch of heart-shaped decorations scattered everywhere on your bento.

Oh, and the lunch bag and cutleries also change according to the themes

And he organises the items in a neat and cutesy way.

But the most challenging part isn't making the lunchbox; it is giving it to you.

He'll be consumed with embarrassment and self-doubt whenever it's time to give you your lunchbox. You have to console and comfort him to take it. After all, you don't want his effort to go to waste if you don't get to enjoy the lunch box, right?

Wakes up just in time, not too early and not too late.

The reason is that Satan is really efficient in the kitchen. He'd have the ingredients readily cut or prepared the night before and just cook them the following day.

So it didn't take long for him to finish preparing your lunchbox.

There will never be the same menu when it comes to Satan's lunchbox. Every day will be a different menu. He can cook food from all three realms, and because of that, he'd give you only fresh and novel dish ideas.

So if you want him to cook the same dish for you again, you have to say it to him directly.

The way he organised your lunch box is... Doable... It's not too messy, yet it's kinda cramped.

Expect some sticky notes on your lunchbox with supportive words and compliments thrown at you.

His lunch bag for you is very ordinary looking. But his cooking already has so many plus points, so a normal lunch bag isn't a big deal.

He'll wake up a bit earlier to prepare your food.

Most of the time, he'll make you something simple like a chicken sandwich or salad (and proceed to decorate it excessively with toppings and sauce), but there are times when he'd cook something more complex.

Compared to others, you will receive lesser snacks in your lunchbox if it's from Asmo. 'It's not good to snack too often <3', he'd say.

And you'll also receive sticky notes with reminders to drink water sufficiently, wear sunscreen, or moisturise your skin.

He decorates your lunchbox with many sparkly and beautiful toppings. Sometimes, you can even see some squiggly drawings that he used from ketchup.

Like Mammon, Asmo will buy you the prettiest, most extravagant lunch bag you'll ever see. But unlike Mammon, it doesn't have the same durability.

You'd have to carefully handle his lunch bag since it would upset Asmo if he knew you ruined yours. Again.

There's a small compartment in your lunch bag where Asmo will put a tiny bottle of sunscreen and moisturiser for you to use anytime anywhere.

Wakes up at the crack of dawn to prepare your lunch.

Because he's usually awake so early in the morning to do his morning exercise, it's not really a big deal.

He's so generous when it comes to your food portion. Sometimes, he even gives you about 3 lunchboxes on the same day. You have to share it with a few people to finish the whole thing.

Beel puts everything in your lunch bag: candies, snacks, loaves of bread, apples, water, milk, juice box, some chillis, even a potato and some tomatoes sometimes.

You have to monitor what he puts in it sometimes to ensure he doesn't go too far. It's not like he didn't think about it, but the thought of you going 'hungry' made Beel worried so much that he'd put everything to ensure you're satiated.

Despite the random foods you can find in your lunchbox, he still organised it neatly.

He'd enjoy it more if you gave him some feedback on the food he made so he can improve the next time.

He'd buy you the most oversized lunch bag so he can put anything he wants you to enjoy.

Eh? Lunchbox? He didn't make you one because he overslept...

More often than not, he'll buy food in the cafeteria, put it inside your lunch bag, and say it's your 'lunchbox.'

But on times that he actually managed to get up early, he'll prepare your food carefully.

He's not really what you call a good cook, but there are a few dishes that he can cook really well, so he'll only make those for you.

He'll need more time to perfect his cooking skills before he can cook more food for you.

His lunchbox is always so simple, yet it still fulfils you throughout the day.

He doesn't decorate the food too much and organises the items in a basic manner.

You can also find a few Grimms inside the lunchbox.

'For you to buy more food if you're hungry.' He'd say.

We're getting back into a D&D game on my server, and with that came a few ideas for companion and character designs. Mainly because all but one of the party have an animal companion or familiar.

True Form Bright - Gizmo Strike is a Drakewarden Ranger, whose drake was born from her Homunculus Servant from her time as an artificer. So I thought it only appropriate that she get a bit of a redesign. Originally a blue dragon, I thought it'd be more fun if she was a brassy copper color like she was when she was a homunculus servant. I'm hella proud of how this whole thing came out, and I am so happy with how well she looks with Gizmo now!

Matching Danger Noodle - I had so much fun with Luminous that I decided I wanted to do another little sheet for a D&D player's pet/familiar. This time, Ivory and Ebony Jr. for @kukotte ~!

Friendly Raven - Another animal companion for my D&D game. This time one for @bright-keys , Morri and Cu Chulainn. Their relationship is a tad more complex than the others. Have I ever mentioned how much I love drawing birds? Because I love drawing birds.

Daredevil and Worrywart - Lux, for TornadoTurbulence. Torn worries ALOT about his hawk friend, and Lux is a big daredevil. They certainly make an interesting pair! I love how this hawk came out too. I liked drawing it alot more than I thought I might, admittedly.

Lightning Bug - Probably my favorite one if I'm honest. LB is a twittermite that fancies himself a breezie, so I had to include that in his ref. He is adorable ans has to be protected at all costs. LB and Shiver Frost belong to @peskypooch ~!

- As for Kiana (K-423) she's going to be the little sister of the real Kiana (Durandal/Bianka).

- So how did you got adopted by the Kaslanas? Well let me tell you.

- Cecilia was done to buy some groceries to cook dinner tonight for her husband and her three kids. Then she saw you lying unconscious on the ground.

- She was worried about you, where's your parents? What happened to you? Being the good mother she is, she decided to take you home and take care of you.

- When Cecilia got home the three siblings saw their mother carrying someone. And it's you.

- Sirin tense up upon seeing you because...

- One, you and Sirin met back then when you two are in the Babylon Laboratory.

- Second, she probably thought you were dead since those "doctors" experiment on you and you never came back.

- You were woken up by the noise from Kiana and Durandal. You were scared at this new environment since you finally escape from the hell hole you stayed in.

- The door open to see Cecilia holding a tray with food on top of it, she was glad to see that you were awake and you were comfortable with talking to Durandal and Kiana.

- When Cecilia was about to approach you, you back away from her, scared that she'll hurt you since you don't trust adults because what they did to you back then.

- But Cecilia assured you that she has no intention hurting you and wants to take care of you.

- Now it's time for the Kaslana sisters!

- Durandal was happy that she has a new little sister and she promise that she will protect you all of her life.

- She's going to play with you however you want, plays with you with video games, and lets you play with her Homu doll.

- Kiana ecstatic seeing you since she's no longer the youngest in the group and she can act as a big sister in front of you.

- One time you ask her if she can make some food since you were hungry and no one is in the house but you four. It's Kiana time to shine that she can cook for you.

- It didn't end well in the kitchen and her food was burnt. But you appreciate it since Kiana tried her best to cook for you.

- As for Sirin, she was happy that you were alive and safe for now. She couldn't help but feel a little guilty for not saving you sooner, but you forgive her told her you were fine and happy to be with her.

- Sirin let's you play with her in videos games even though you two lost she doesn't quit rage in front of you (only in private but she doesn't blame it on you).

- She lets you share with her cup noodles no matter what.

- The Kaslana sisters love you so much and they would do anything for you to be happy, and protect you even it if cost of their lives.

- They're happy that you are now part of their life and you are their little sister.

- Congratulation! You are now officially a Kaslana!

Some Sibling headcanons between Shiromi and Kaga.

I've always liked the idea of these two being related. The most eccentric people in the school being siblings? A lot of drama 👀

I see them as half-siblings. They share the same father but different mothers.

They are two years apart.

Kaga is 5'5 feet and Shiromi is 4'11.

The main reason why Shiromi's mother decided to mess with Kaga's father was for money reasons, and their whole... fun was a mistake, but Kaga's father still wants to give his daughter the best, knowing how hard her mother works to get more money.

Kaga was disappointed in his father, but he tried moving on from it since now, he had a sister to keep him company and use as a test subject.

Kaga became close to Shiromi as they grew older and very eccentric from their parents.

Kaga's last name is from his parents, while Shiromi's last name is from her mother.

Kaga looks like his mother while Shiromi looks like her mother, so it's very hard to see how these two are related until they reveal it.

These two got in a lot of trouble from Kaga's genius plans and Shiromi's ridiculous ways of having fun.

Shiromi suffered a horrible accident that almost cost her life ( This is canon, I believe). She was in a very bad state. She lost a lot of blood and needed blood to be able to do the surgeries she needed, so Kaga, along with Shiromi's mother, gave the doctor the blood they needed to save Shiromi.

Kaga was always the golden child between Shiromi and he. Shiromi doesn't really care.

Whenever Kaga is part of a competition (science), Shiromi is always there to cheer him on and talk back to anyone who messes with her brother and his work.

Kaga always did Shiromi's homework when she forgot or was too lazy to do it herself. He doesn't mind doing it for her.

Once Shiromi was 15, she would start taking Kaga's gadgets and leave a note behind with her saying thanks and a noodle of herself on the bottom. Kaga finds it annoying, but Shiromi always finds a way around his security system. (This continued even during Akademi)

Shiromi would always run up to Kaga and jump onto his back when Kaga was distracted. Free piggyback ride! 😌

Shiromi is ready to fight anyone who messes with her brother: biting, hair pulling, kicking, punching,etc. She will do it all for her bro bro. One time during a science competition, Kaga's work was sabotaged by another individual, but Shiromi was able to see this and immediately started to fight the person.

The way they show each affection is through touch and words, mostly touch. They are not shy to hug each other.

They have nicknames for each other. They are mostly insult nicknames.

Kaga is close to Shiromi's mother. He doesn't see her as a bother or the evil one that got in the way of his parents' marriage. He sees her as a second mother. She's cool :>.

Kaga and Shiromi's mother grew closer when they began to take care of Shiromi during her recovery from the accident. It was a way for them to bond.

Shiromi is there for Kaga whenever he feels anything negative, and Kaga is there for her when she needs someone to lean on.

These two are inseparable.

Shiromi is willing to give her life away to be able to protect Kaga. Shiromi is not afraid of death.

When Kaga ends up having a crush on Megami, Shiromi always teases him about it but refuses to tell Kaga anything about her to tease him some more.

Once Kaga and Megami have their children, Shiromi is the favorite aunt.

The student council doesn't know Shiromi and Kaga are related. The only people who know are the staff, the guidance counselor, headmaster, and Info chan.

Fellow Travelers Rewatch Party | You're Wonderful

Favourite moment(s) or scene(s) of the episode

It's still the whole chicken noodle soup scenario, from Hawk's entrance up until the radio gets brought up. I like how it sets up their starting dynamic. And to link with that, the whole dynamic filp when “I wanna go to the party” happens. Tim's hones his seductress powers, and we get to see Hawk be the flustered one caught off guard for once.

I also really like the opening scenes 🥹 and the election night meeting and the 1st time at the Cozy Corner and and and–

Favourite quote/dialogue

There's so many too choose from 😭 I'm gonna list a few;

For funsies:

“I'm your boy, right?” - I mean, it's the blog title for a reason - the moment the tables turn. (I made an edit of this moment as a bit of episode appreciation, as suggested in the master series rewatch post 🫶)

“I'll spend the afternoon picturing you kneeling in prayer.”

For feelsies:

“When I committed this sin, I felt pure. More pure than I felt in my entire life. So how can I be sorry for it?”

“I want to hold you tonight. If you'll let me.” - it's just so 🥺

Something new you noticed after the rewatch

Joe Alsop is talking about turtle soup that smells like feet (but taste great) at his party. 👀 And Tim's just stood there, then the camera goes back and settles on Hawk in the background talking to Lucy and someone else. Tim's smile fades at first for a lil bit, but then he has this like sneaky smile when it goes back to him. Given what happened in the previous scene, it's very... 😈

And just some more of this bit, Tim then goes to grab a drink for Mary and as he's walking away we see Hawk tracking him with his eyes (and of course he then follows him). I knew the major beats at this party, but there were certain little things that I definitely did not pick up on before. 😆 (Probably too brrrrrrrr from the previous scene)

The MVP of the episode

I think I'm gonna have to go with 80s Tim, even though we only catch a glimpse of him. It's the decision he makes, to allow Hawk back in, that makes the rest of the 80s timeline possible. 🥲

You general thoughts on the episode

It just perfectly sets everything up for the rest of the series. There's so many bits of dialogue that calls back to things later on, or is just more interesting with them in mind. Also all the anticipation at the end, even when you already know the while story, some bits still had me holding my breath like an idiot hahah.

My main feelings coming out of episode 1 is just always wanting to protect 50s Tim at all costs. Though after seeing the whole show and softening on Hawk, I also wanna protect him; from himself. But yeah - screaming crying etc.

Thoughts on soundtrack of the episode

I'll spare you the essay about when each part the score comes up in the episode and how it makes me feel (😭), but it's just brilliant. Hawk's main theme at the election party, and Pull Them Off at Tim's apartment being notable.

The Waiting for Tim theme especially is just. 😚🤌 He's waiting for his call back at that cafe/diner in the 80s, while he was also waiting outside his apartment in the 50s, and it's just full of anticipation. 🥺
