advice?

so i’ve been looking at the punk scene and was wondering if anyone had any advice? I’ve been struggling to find information on like, how to start i guess? how to begin dressing punk, understanding the culture and terminology and everything, especially as an autistic person who is very comfortable with sweaters and unsure how to go about incorporating punk style into my own without it being overwhelming? i’ve also seen a lot of different types of punks and I’m not sure how that works or what fits me/what i fit into. if anyone could reply/reblog this with advice/resources or even just signal boost it that would be appreciated!

Still laughing my ass off about this little old lady at the grocery store this morning that saw me from halfway across the store in my battle jacket and just went (OoO) at me for the like 30 meters it took for us to pass each other including craning her neck past 90 degrees as we passed.

I don't even think she blinked once idk how she didn't run into anything I'm going to see that stupid fucking stare in my sleep now I think XD

Same grocery store where a guy asked to take a picture of the back of the same battle jacket (in an older configuration though) even though he "didn't know what the words meant" (which I assume was about my "Marriage =/= Equality" patch). And another time when I was picking up meds the guy in front of me just turned around and stared at me until he was called up (he was picking up for his husband though so he gets a pass).

Love interacting with people who obviously have no fucking clue how to deal with me in situations in which they have absolutely no need to deal with me in the first place but try anyways.

This is one of the 2 new shirts I just bought.  If you haven't figured it out Falloween is my favorite time of year.  I always tell people that I don’t bite unless you want me to ;) and if you see me in a fandom shirt that is my permission to come over  and talk about said fandom.
