OKEJ MAM BARDZO CHAOTYCZNĄ WIZJE
album muzyczny coś pomiędzy taylor swift, hozierem, laną del rey i markiem grechutą

there was apparently almost a full calendar year between filming the pilot and even going into the writers room for the rest of the season, which i guess does explain why Maybelle/Molly got extremely pregnant so quickly in the season when definitely not showing in the first episode

I still feel like a little kid but I’m too close to being an adult and it scares me. The main thing that terrifies me is moving out.
I live in a small town and want to stay that way. I want to be surrounded by the memories of me growing up. Thousands of nights spent in my house. The one planted on the edge of that small town.
But I don’t want to hide who I am. I’m queer and (silently) proud. I love myself and want to be able to express myself freely. I want to be able to tell people my identity when I can see their face. I don’t want to hide who I am forever.
So I have two options. Either stay in the closet my entire life or move far away and give up everything familiar. I don’t think I’m brave enough to just leave. Leave my hiding place. But I also don’t know if I can just pretend my entire life to be something I’m not.
-🤲🏽
It sucks that you're in this situation, Nonsie. The idea of moving out can be beyond terrifying, leaving all the familiarity and people you've come to know. I used to move around pretty often as a kid, but it's been a while so I'm no longer familiar with it and the thought is overwhelming.
You don't know what to expect outside of what you already know and it's vulnerable, but there's also so much potential in the world you don't want to miss out on. It's truly hard to grapple with on so many levels.
I'm proud of you for being proud of yourself, because you deserve all of that. You deserve comfort and familiarity and pride and to openly own your identity in all the ways you want to. I'm more sorry than I can ever articulate that our world isn't a kind one in that regard yet, not fully. I hope the spaces you find and create full of pride can be a kind of solace in the meantime.
There's no one right option, and trying to figure everything out is a process and journey everyone is taking their entire lives. But I can say that things are rarely this or that. Maybe those two options are the clearest to see, but I wouldn't be surprised if you could do something different. I don't know what that would be or if it would be what you want, but there are more choices than we realize, sometimes.
I hope you can find that perfect, best solution for you. I hope you can have familiarity and pride in whatever way it manifests in your life. Whatever you choose, if it means anything, I'll be cheering you on from my corner of the internet and we can be proud together <3

stuck in a ditch and lost in the woods
today was... a day. holy smokes. I was scoping out a trail for dog-walking and got my car stuck. mom had to come pull me out. then when I was walking said dog (not on said trail, because of reasons) I somehow lost the trail and had a serious "oh my god i could get lost in the woods right now" moment so that was. yeah.
anyway. mildly traumatic experiences serve as good writing fodder as always.
besides that though, I finished drafting an article and my dad came over and helped me button my place up. feeling toasty warm and going to do some brainstorming before bed, might be worth working on the scene where Avedis and Kelson are lost in the Dreamforest. ha. ha.
hope your day was smoother than mine 😬

Hi! Do you have any recommendations of books that explore the relationship between queerness and Judaism? Thanks so much!
Yes, absolutely; this subject also interests me so I am excited to share some books!
First, the book I always recommend:
Tumblr media
Beyond the Pale Elana Dykewomon
Another favourite of mine:
Tumblr media
The New Queer Conscience Adam Eli
I also recently got a fantastic list from a patron in our discord!
A Rainbow Thread: An Anthology of Queer Jewish Texts from the First Century to 1969 Noam Sienna
Balancing on the Mechitza: Transgender in Jewish Community Noach Dzmura, Tucker Lieberman
Uncommon Charm Emily Bergslien, Kat Weaver
Torah Queeries: Weekly Commentaries on the Hebrew Bible Gregg Drinkwater, Joshua Lesser, David Shneer, Judith Plaskow
The Soul of the Stranger: Reading God and Torah from a Transgender Perspective Joy Ladin
I hope this list helps!

Just found out about this and I KNOW there are queer high school math fans following me so this is for you! If you participate please let me know how it goes, I don't know a lot about it. The official blurb below doesn't say it but I'm pretty sure it's free.

"Camp” of Mathematical Queeries is a five-week virtual mathematics enrichment program for LGBTQ+ students entering grades 9-12. The enrichment is designed to tap into the rich funds of knowledge of the LGBTQ+ community and to provide a space in which LGBTQ+ and mathematical identity are affirmed as interconnected entities, central to the teaching and learning of mathematics, in particular. The Camp will run from July 10 - August 9. To apply and learn more about the Camp, please visit the program webpage.
