stone faced anon (💫 anon if it's free) here; as someone who has a hyperfixation in IT and coding I also think it would be very funny if Boothill had an s/o who wasn't necessarily a mechanic but like a software engineer or just a real big nerd about coding or something. He'll be experiencing a malfunction or a memory leak and go "oh yeah this happens sometimes don't worry about it" and then 10 minutes later he's sitting down plugged into a laptop listening to his s/o rant about how terrible his code is (crack hc: boothill's code was written in javascript) and how it's a wonder he hasn't bricked* yet

Would also be mad funny if Boothill ever got hacked and his s/o basically says "no you're not" and uses a previously made system restore point or something because of course they would both use and design every feature imaginable to keep Boothill in control of his own body, can you imagine the stress that losing control would cause him?? Even better if whoever designed him originally intentionally left a backdoor incase he ever went against their orders and when they try to use it his s/o just goes "oh yeah I quarantined and encrypted all the old files related to that backdoor and whatever else you were planning on a partition as bait and personally rewrote every file and function involved since your code is *an actual crime against technology*. by the way i'm going to go ahead and format that partition i mentioned, boothill- we won't be needing anything on it now that we can trace whoever made it. trust me, this won't be happening ever again."

*(bricking is a term mostly used to refer to hardware that's been rendered basically completely nonfunctional and beyond saving by using it wrong, mostly by messing with system files. Kinda like how windows can't even repair itself if you delete the system32 folder. Though i guess you could still install it with a usb stick if you formatted your pc- i digress you get what I mean. also since this almost happened to me recently: if you manage to fill up a hard drive to the brim, with literally 0 bytes of space left, that bricks it. reminder to check your storage thoroughly and often!)

Boothill would DEFINITELY appreciate a s/o who's a tech savvy in general! I think at some point, he'd be pretty shocked you're so knowledgeable and just sit there, listening to you rant.. and just letting you do your thing.

Don't get me wrong, he definitely knows a lot about his body, his system and the way he works, but once you start to get in the zone and explain stuff to him, berate his code even, he just sits next to you, plugged in to your laptop, leaning his cheek against his hand listening to you like he obviously understands everything you say.

His other hand begins to gently play with a stand of your hair, humming deeply when the soft clicking sounds of your keyboard reach his ears; he twirls your hair with his fingers and chuckles, "mmm, really now?" Boothill raises an eyebrow, "encryptin' this, encryptin' that... How about we do somethin' more fun instead?" And then you shut him down from your laptop (😭).

Jokes aside, he'd feel very secure with you especially when he first got his new body, just knowing you'll probably fix a lot of things that could possibly blow up his face in no time, maybe even improve his life even more.

Medicine Pocket wasn’t the type for “love”. Or any other foolish emotions. They’ve always found romance to be such a stupid waste of time, taking away from more important things, like their research. More than once a scientist on their team would do something absent mindedly while thinking of their wife at home. Then they’d mess up, ruining Medi’s most important results. Those times were met with no sympathy, Medi ruthlessly tearing into her team members for their foolishness.

…However, you were kinda cute. And interesting. That’s what Medi liked about you most. You were strange, not like the other people they’ve met. They liked everything about you that was different. Your laugh, your personality, your interests. They found it fascinating the way you thought, the way you acted. Medi wanted to study you, and if that wasn’t love? They didn’t know what was. However, the two of you had been keeping things on the low. Medi didn’t want their reputation as a mad scientist to be tarnished, nor did they want to show any weakness in front of their fellow arcanists. Not to mention that you had a reputation of your own to uphold, and a lack of close friends on your team to blab to. The two of you kept quiet about your little arrangement, but that was fine. Neither of you felt the need to brag, and given how fast gossip spread around the suitcase, the two of you were happy to stay far from it. But oh, the foolishness of a person in love never fails.

Naps had always been one of your favorite ways to pass the time, and with how much training you were getting, a heavy layer of exhaustion hung over you like a blanket. No matter how hard you tried to fight it, you were always a few seconds from falling asleep. Lost within your own dreamy haze.

Today just happened to be especially tiring. You were helping out with some chores around the suitcase, preparing for the next mission, when you felt the strong siren call of another nap wash through you. You dragged yourself through the halls, your body too tired to stay upright for long. You needed a place to sleep, and quickly. You found your respite in the dining room, underneath the table. It was nowhere near meal time, so you were certain you’d be undisturbed for a while. Dropping to a crawl, you made your way underneath and placed your head on the wooden floor. It wasn’t comfortable, far from it, but it was enough for you to begin to drift off. Medi hadn’t been looking for you. At least, they didn’t think they were. They’d been wandering all day, avoiding chores like the plague and ignoring the urge to continue their studies. They’d been suffering through a major creative block with their experiments, which frustrated them to no end. They were a genius! Why couldn’t they get it together?

Medi found you underneath the table. At first they laughed at the sight, then a fond smile came to their face. And then, realization. “[Y/N]!” They called, kneeling down to your side. “You’re going to hurt your back if you sleep on the hard floor!” They warned, shaking you awake.

Groggily, you turned to them, annoyed that your nap had been cut short. “Nuh-uh.” “The fuck do you mean ‘Nuh-uh’?!” They exclaimed, “Dumbass! You’re going to hurt yourself! What are you thinking?!” “Tired.” You answer. “So, so tired.” Medi bites their fingertip through the glove, narrowing their eyes at you. “I’ll have to take a blood test to make sure you’re healthy. Even for an idiot like you, this isn’t healthy.”

“You’re worried.” You state, a warm smile growing on your sleepy face. “Nuh-uh!” Medicine Pocket shoots back, turning their face away from you. You can see a blush on their cheeks.

“You know…” You begin, reaching for their hand, “I might sleep better if I have something to rest my head on.” Medicine Pocket’s face grows redder, a pout twisting their expression. “What are you getting at, dumbass? Spit it out!”

“Can I rest my head on your lap?” You ask, bluntly.

Medi covers their face with their hand, still not daring to look at you. A smug smile grows on your lips, enjoying how much you’ve flustered your partner. You don’t expect them to agree, PDA isn’t something the both of you necessarily enjoy. It’s more a game of chicken, seeing who bends first. Medicine Pocket swallows, then nods. “Of course you can.”

Your eyes widen in surprise. “Oh, I wasn’t serious!” You argue, the thought of PDA making your face heat up. “Too late to back out now!” They giggle, scooching next to you. They take a seat right next to your head, patting their lap. “Come on, sweetheart, take a nap with me.”

The pet name, despite how mockingly it’s used, sends an arrow straight through your heart. Though you’re hesitant, the offer is appealing. Cuddling with Medi isn’t something you often get to do, and here they are, presenting you with the opportunity. And so you lift your head, and place it on their lap. They squeak instantly, the flush returning to their face all at once. “Hey! What if someone sees us?” “They won’t.” You mutter, already losing the battle to sleep. You yawn. Medicine Pocket is so warm, and feels so soft beneath your head. You could stay like this forever, you think. “Nobody will.”

“Are you sure?” Medicine Pocket asks, yet they get no answer. You’ve already fallen asleep, lost in your own dreams. Medicine Pocket sighs, putting a hand on your head and stroking your hair softly. You remind them of one of their dogs like this. All gentle and cute. They find themselves smiling uncontrollably, lost in the bliss of being close to you. About a half hour later, Vertin enters the dining room. “Medicine Pocket? [Y/N]?” She calls, glancing around the room. “Where did the two of you go?” She asks herself, a scowl deepening on her face. The two of you were skipping your responsibilities, and as leader, she had to get you both on track. Medi froze, eyes wide with fear. They couldn’t be caught in a situation like this! Especially by the Timekeeper! But they also couldn’t escape! Your sleeping face was just too cute, they didn’t want to disturb it!

And then you snored. It was a slight, quick breath, but Vertin is a very perceptive girl, and she heard it right away.

“[Y/N]?” Vertin asked, “Are you napping again? You’ve ought to get your tiredness checked out by a-” She leaned over to peer under the table, locking eyes with Medicine pocket. “Oh!” Vertin exclaimed, before her eyes fell upon you, slumbering away. “Oooh.” “It’s not what it looks like!” Medi objected, keeping their voice to a hush. “It’s just- I’m just! It’s an experiment! They’re a test subject to me!” A light danced in Vertin's eyes as she saw you two, though her face bore no changed expression. “It’s alright. Your secret is safe with me.” She gave a curt nod, and stood. “Vertin- Wait!” Medicine called behind her, panic in their voice. “You’ve got it all wrong! No!” “You have nothing to worry about.” Vertin reassured them. “I wish you two love and prosperity.”

“Vertin?!”

Though Vertin did not breathe a word to a single soul, the suitcase was alight a week later with rumors of the new couple among their numbers. And though your days of being a quiet couple were over, at least Medi didn’t feel so embarrassed to be seen sleeping next to you anymore.

Her Peace

Dikke had never been a fan of romance in plays.

The way bards would speak on and on about the sweetness of love, of the bliss of another’s touch, of the pangs in one’s heart, it didn’t seem possible to her. How could love be so powerful? She’d felt romance before, towards some fellow knights, though her feelings never clouded her judgment. She always managed to keep a clear mind, and was able to keep her thoughts rational. The stuff the bards spoke of was hyperbole. …You muddied that belief. Dikke was unbelievably weak for you. It scared her, in all honesty. She’d never been so vulnerable around someone before. Your smile made her sway, your laugh made her weak in the knees. She found herself thinking of you late into the night, unable to close her eyes without seeing your face. The walls she’d spent so many years building, crashed around her. Destroyed by a single person. Nobody knew of this relationship of yours. It wasn’t as though it was secret, it just wasn’t something you discussed with other people. Dikke didn’t often speak on matters of the heart, and you never found a good excuse to bring it up. And thus, the suitcase was unaware of the budding relationship in their midsts. Dikke had been training for hours. It was what she did to clear her mind, to calm her anxieties. There was something comforting about doing repeated exercises. It kept both her and her blade sharp. However, it was also extraordinarily tiring. The hard labor strained her muscles, making each movement painful. Though she was careful to never overexert herself, she still remained sore after each intensive workout. This time was no different.

Dikke dragged herself through the forest, focusing on her deep breaths. Birds sang in the trees around her, the same songs they’d sung in her homeland. Bees buzzed by her, brushing gently against her as she walked, clumsily making their way through. The same way they did a hundred years ago. And before then as well. Dikke lost herself in thought as she walked, allowing the nostalgia to ease her weary bones. And then she saw you. Like something out of a fairytale. You were sprawled beneath a grand oak tree, your chest rising and falling in a gentle rhythm. Dikke was stunned by your beauty, completely beside herself at the sight of you. Was it OK for her to see you like this? So vulnerable and pretty? Her heartbeat quickened, it was so loud she was worried it would wake you. You looked so peaceful, it made her dizzy. The fact that you could sleep so soundly here, without a care in the world… She wanted that tranquility. That trust in the world. Dikke sat next to you in the plush grass, keeping her guard up. She couldn’t just leave you here! What if something happened? She’d never forgive herself! As quietly as she could, she removed her cape, draping it over you in a single movement. Dikke loved the view of you in her cape. Seeing it made it hard for her to think, her brain only filled with thoughts of you. Surely it was alright to indulge. Just this once? You wouldn’t mind the company, would you? Holding her breath, Dikke laid beside you, leaving a few inches of space between the two of you. She didn’t want to intrude, but she wanted some of that peace. Some of that tranquility you held.

It didn’t take long for her to fall asleep. The mix of the workout and your presence was too much on her weary mind. By the time Vertin found the two of you, you were entangled in each other’s arms. Your head on Dikke’s chest, and her face pressed into your hair. The sight surprised the timekeeper, though she knew better than to react. She didn’t want to risk waking you up.

Later, Vertin would seek you out. “I see you’ve found your knight in shining armor.” She tells you. Though it doesn’t reach her face, you can hear the smirk in her voice. “What do you mean by that?” You ask, confused. “I wish you and Dikke well. That’s all you need to know.” She responds. You grow too flustered to continue the conversation any further.

This guy is so fucking mean for no reason but hates whenever anyone else is mean to you

He bullies you because he doesn't know how to respond to his own emotions and he has absolutely 0 experience. Plus, he thinks you're only talking to him to mess with him at first

I can see him falling for someone because they were nice to him or because he found them physically attractive as bad as it may sound to some people. But, he does know when someone is only being nice because they feel bad or they are just trying to mess with his feelings he just wants to be treated like a normal human being not get made fun of or have people be overly nice to him because of his disorders but we can get more into those emotions another time.

Even though he can most of the time tell the difference between genuine kindness and people feeling bad, sometimes he may think that people are messing with him when they actually are being genuinely nice because he overthinks everything and lets his bad thoughts take over a lot of the time.

Would definitely zone out while staring at you as he bites his nails and hands... Gets so many side eyes and weird stares because of it too

thinks about you 24/7 to the point it affects his daily life and his mother and sister get worried

He would probably mistake his romantic feelings for platonic at first but when he realizes the only thing that changes is how mean he is to you and I don't mean he gets nicer 😃 your #1 hater and #1 supporter

He's honestly confusing, one minute he'll be thinking you hate him and he doesn't have a chance to thinking he does have a chance and that you have the same feelings for him as he does for you.

Meaning that there's like a 30% he will make a first move on you because you have to catch him in the right mood, at the right time, on the right day which is pretty hard because you'll never know what mood he'll be in and he

He literally just acts like he hates you and if you asked him out or made a move he'd turn it down but then out of no where months later he will ask you out

he's honestly such an attention whore and he only craves your attention now so good luck

the only time he can really talk to you in person outside of school is if you happen to be friends with his sister or you guys meet up somewhere like a park or a cafe which isn't that often because of his parents so he makes up for it by texting you all day

Reminder though that he isn't some soft and shy bundle of joy who is just hurt, he is crazy and is slowly going under the control of Slenderman. He can have major mood swings and will most likely make you end up not liking him for the way he treats you at first, he doesn't mean it tho he's just a lil delulu 😊

Overall, your experience is gonna be a rough 5/10 unless you don't mind his harsh words then it'd be like a 6.5 - 7.5

Its not often I participate in online arguments... or ever... but just this once, I'll throw my hat in the ring. You right, DaveKat is not a good ship at all. I'm a new Homestuck reader (currently at page 4488). I'll never ever get into the sequel stuff of Homestuck bc of the horror stories I've heard of it but even then, when I heard DaveKat as a ship I was like, "Huh??? That's a ship??? and its popular??????" because I don't see the vision. Dave and Karkat have no chemistry like what is their relationship like?? Karkat going on his millionth rant that day and Dave pissing on him for it like??? AND there isn't any build up to it to which I heard it was forced upon. Like for what? For what purpose?? But you know what I do like? DaveJade. I'm a big DaveJade fan. Not only do they have a lot of chemistry but like their dynamic, the contrast between the silliness of Jade and the cool guy Dave is SO fun and SO SO cute. Also Also, Dave and Jade's relationship just feels so real to me. Like I think Jade is like the only person Dave really enjoys talking with other than y'know, Rose and John. iirc (bc its been a while since I continued reading HS) the only time Dave smirked while talking to someone was with Jade on page 382 (which I only found out ta'day :0) and no doubt in my mind Dave was excited to meet Jade when she finally got into the medium and helped her out finding the frogs on her planet. I also think that Jade would be a very supportive figure for Dave givin his insecurities about himself, that at least she thinks Dave is very cool even when he thinks otherwise. Another thing, Jade did not have to go out there dressed all fancy n crap like for who you so fancy for? DAVE OBVIOUSLY!!! Also seeing art of Dave trying so hard to keep his cool around Jade is so cute and funny DaveJade is just so CUTE GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love DaveJade :)

Also I ship Karkat and Terezi bc they have a very funny dynamic lol (I think what sold me on DaveJade was this album art from Vol 8 LOOK HOW CUTE THEY ARE!!!!)

Dave and Jade could really help and support each other. Jade wants to see the outside world and gain connections with people as Dave learns to open himself more and know he can be vulnerable at times with those he care for so that he can have confidence to still be strong and cool in his own way. Both of them can be out to do whatever they want together. If not just them, then with friends too. See the world they have never saw before when they were stuck at home (get it? Cuz Homestuck lmao). I think some of the Homestuck pairings was suppose to be this. Couples that not only have great chemistry, but also ones that can help grow and mature as people for the new universe they would eventually live in. And it's that support that would soon lead to be with their friends to rise and stand up whatever is facing them. It's why DaveJade works. I don't see it working with Davekat. Most fanon I see has them kind of stationary. Never changing to be something else. Even now, they are just depicted as people that stay the same and too nervous to grow out from their comfort zone.

It was amazing how oblivious Jenna was to your situation. It seemed like she knew you liked her but she just had fun with it. But you knew better, she's been like this since you met in middle school. How she failed to notice the failed attempts at complimenting was so irritating. By the end you couldn't bring yourself to be annoyed with her, she's pathetically adorable.

You girls had a really strong friendship. It was 4 long years of innocent friendship and 1 year of developing feelings for her. In the end, you gave up trying to make Jenna understand how you felt, maybe she just doesn't want to be in a relationship with you or maybe she doesn't even like other girls. You thought about these possibilities but deep in your heart there was always a little hope left, like a disease that wouldn't heal. You were sitting with Jenna and Lisa as they spoke in hushed whispers, giggling like schoolgirls. Lisa glanced over to you, a smiled creeping on her lips.

"Hey Y/n" The two girls focused their attention on you as they stopped their whispers and giggling, "We were just going to play a game, do you want to join us?" Your eyes widened and your heart skipped a beat.

"Yes please." Your head resting on the bed before, she lifted it curiously, with a minimal smile. Lisa was the only one who knew where you stood with Jenna. At that moment you couldn't even imagine what was going through her head, since you were too busy beating yourself up mentally. You've been with your crush this long, you can't just stop now, especially if it's the other side of campus. "Alright, what are we going to play?" Jenna looked to the girl and then you, then back to Lisa smiling.

"We've been talking about what we wanted to do during winter break and we wanted to do something fun" Lisa sighed, "So we came up with this, we gotta tell the other person a secret before we play."

Jenna's eyes widened slightly, the nervous laughter evident in her voice. "Wait, we should do that now?" Jenna stood her hands cupped over her mouth, her eyes wide with excitement.

Lisa giggled, the first words out of her mouth were, "Y/n still has feelings for you."

You immediately turned your head, your eyes locking with Jenna's and your heart began to speed up in a flurry of confusion, uncertainty and wonder. From the day you two had met she wanted to be friends but you wanted to be more. You had said as much to Lisa five years ago when she told you about Jenna but didn't really expect anything to come from it. You just ended up being her close friend and the person she would rant to about the problems in your life and you really needed some of that. She occasionally brought you for family dinners. Now you were sitting in an apartment, the two facing you, waiting for your reply.

"Oh." That was all you could manage to say as you were dragged out of your thoughts, "I guess this is a secret to keep then, how about we play?" Jenna's face lit up and she launched at you, cuddling.

"Thats great! Have I ever told you how much I like secrets, especially the type that can be discussed with people over a campfire. Lets start." Jenna squeezed you to emphasize her point.

Lisa was giving you a smug smile and all you could say was, "I really don't want to play this game."

"Come on why don't we?" Jenna said, her voice getting caught in her throat, "She likes you Y/n and you like her. You CAN do this, we've found out other people don't know, so Lo! Let's find out our secret. So far we're 1-0."

Lisa took a deep breathe, "Ok, our first stop is love." She took a step back, "Love is the thing immortal, omnipotent, unoriginate, infinite, omniscient, omnipotent, and YOU. LOVE IS YOU." Lisa stopped and giggled.

"Ok, I'm going to go with the 'yours' part." You said with a chuckle, raising your eyebrows.

"This can't be right. God is a spirit, and he that worshipeth and serve him must worship him in spirit and in truth. And the truth is you, I love YOU." Jenna said, her voice getting caught in her throat, "I love you." Jenna rested her head on your shoulder.

You blinked and looked down at her, your mouth slightly open, you couldn't seem to form any coherent words to reply, she continued until her lips brushed yours and she pulled away.

You sat there in a daze, Jenna's head slightly peeking over your arm, "Yeah, um is that good enough?" She blushed looking down at her lap, her blonde hair hiding her face.

"Wow, were the the two of you going to do that, but yea I guess that was enough.

Lisa nodded, "Yep, so weirdly religious, but there's something about you that attracts me."

"Don't you love her?" You couldn't help but smile a little, your cheeks turning a little red.

"Oh god how I love you" you said again, unable to contain a smile.

Embracing her, "I love you too."

"So are you two dating?" Lisa asked who was looking at you and Jenna, a slight blush breaking past her cheeks.

"I think I should be asking that." Jenna broke away from you, a slight grin on her face, she was doing a good job at keeping her emotions hidden, her eyes showing eagerness as she headed towards Lisa.

"We were going to, but-" You stopped her with a kiss.

"It was fun?" The two giggled and Lisa looked at you, a smile in her eyes.

It was a normal day of fun, running around, trying to catch Luffy in your daily game of tag. Unfortunately, Luffy was unusually quick, and he had boundless amounts of energy, and at this point, you didn’t even know where it even came from. Luffy looked behind him to see you following him closely, he laughed, not realizing the root of a tree sticking out in front of him. He tripped, falling straight onto his face, making you trip over him and fall over as well. You tumbled through the grass until you gently hit the trunk of a tree. He laughed, sitting up with a huge grin, smile spreading from ear to ear. You always played with him, everyday was filled with so much fun that you barely remembered the feeling of loneliness. You could never be lonely with Luffy, his personality couldn’t let you be lonely. You wanted to make sure your days like this would never end. That this adventure would never end. “Lu! When we grow up, and you’re king of the pirates, can I be your queen?? Then we can both be king and queen of the pirates!” You said with a smile and a laugh. Luffy giggled, “We’ll be the strongest together!” He said, giving you a high five as usual. You didn’t realize that your question sounded a bit like you wanted to marry him when you two were older, but you two were children, naive enough to not understand. “It’s a promise!” You said, holding your pinky out, waiting to intertwine it with his. He nodded, squeezing your pinky gently with his, and now this promise of yours was forevermore.

Ace

Basking in the sun with none other than your best friend, Ace. Turning to look at him, his skin was lightened by the warm gaze of the sun, his freckles speckled across his cheeks. You two were inseparable, no one could ever hope to keep you two apart. And if you were separated, it wouldn’t be for long. You fidgeted with your hands, you honestly never wanted to part with Ace. When he would leave to become a pirate, you wanted to come with him, you wanted to stay by his side forever. “Hey Ace.. Can you promise me that we can stay together forever?” You asked, making him sit upright quickly. He was shocked, and quite flustered, “Married?!” He asked, his cheeks flushed a bright tomato red. You never said “married”! You bonked him on the head, “I never said that! But- yeah kind of.” You replied, struggling to maintain eye contact with him. Honestly, you gave up in trying to get the answer you wanted, it was a weird question anyway right? “I promise, we’ll never be separated. Happy?” Ace asked, hiding his blushing face as he held his hand out for a handshake. You smiled, shaking his hand up and down, making him dizzy, “It’s a promise then!”

Sabo

Reading books with Sabo was just a different kind of happiness. It was a feeling of peace that you couldn’t even describe. Listening to him rant on and on about his favorite books was one of your favorite things to do. Today’s story was a fantasy about a Prince, escaping his suffocating family, his home that chained him down. “I want to escape someday like him..” Sabo said with a hopeful smile, continuing on with the story. This prince had a person that he also wanted to escape with, he wanted to travel with them far away, on and endless journey of love and joy. It was a sappy fairy tale, but a beautiful one nonetheless. You wanted to be that person. You wanted to be Sabo’s “forevermore”. This was your chance, you couldn’t possibly let Sabo leave to become a pirate like his brothers without you! “Sabo… Can I escape with you? And be your forevermore?” You asked with a smile, one that always made Sabo’s heart swell. You paused, and Sabo’s face exploded with a tomato red blush. He couldn’t speak, you’ve rendered the little reading prodigy speechless. At least you got your feelings out, now it was his answer you were desperately waiting for. “Y/n. Let’s escape together, I promise that we’ll escape!” Sabo said, managing to get himself together as he held his pinky out for a promise. Your heart brightened, now you could remain with the boy that made your days the best forever. “It’s a promise.” You said, intertwining your pinky with his, your huge and warming smile bringing such a content feeling to Sabo’s heart.

sorry to distract from HH but I saw someone claim 'Blitz exploits Stolas' PTSD & childhood trauma to borrow the book' and that Stolas is the one being sexually exploited and like

aside from the visceral reaction of 'hand me the sick bucket', like what??? There is no getting around the fact that Stolas is the one who proposed the deal. If it had been Blitz's idea there might be a leg to stand on here, but it wasn't - Blitz was actively ducking his calls

absolutely no one forced Stolas to do that. He is the one using Blitz for his own needs. He is the one whose X-rated rants and sexual petnames make Blitz shudder and spit out his coffee. He is the one who responds to Blitz having a nervous meltdown by sexualizing him some more

All Blitz wants is to borrow the book, he never wanted to sleep with Stolas! even in their first hookup he had 0 intentions of actually sleeping with him, he seduced him and then was fully intending to just dip and leave Stolas alone but changed his mind out of pity. Stolas was the one who kept pursuing him after the fact, which should have told him something about the level of Blitz's interest in him

Also like if I can get dictionary definition for a second:

exploit: make use of (a situation) in a way considered unfair or underhand.

Gee, that definition kind of fits exactly what Stolas did in getting Blitz to agree to the full moon deal in the first place by underhandedly making use of the fact he was being shot at!

If Stolas is 'exploited' in any way here it's entirely his own doing because he cooked up a deal to get sex out of Blitz every month - he literally called him with that in mind, he didn't trip and fall his way into the deal! In no way is it Blitz's responsibility that Stolas caught feelings & outside of the one scene in the circus (that Blitz clearly thought of as a one time thing), we never see Blitz toy with or deliberately manipulate Stolas' feelings so he can keep using the book - the closest he comes is inviting him out to Ozzie's and he doesn't even use the word 'date', Stolas does - Blitz doesn't do anything on that occasion to suggest he wanted to have anything other than a fun evening dancing; it's a club and it's in the lust ring, hardly proper first date material (plus that wasn't even to keep Stolas on the hook for the book, it was him unrelatedly spying on M&M). in all other scenarios he acts like sleeping with Stolas is an obligation he has to fulfill because that's exactly what it is. after the way Stolas had behaved all season he had no reason to think Stolas would assume there was anything serious behind the invite - his breakdown at the end of the episode makes it clear he assumed Stolas would just want sex at the end of the night, like he always wants. Stolas has practically trained Blitz to respond this way!

tldr but in what world does someone propose an 'I'll give you X if you give me Y' deal only to turn around and say they were the one exploited in that scenario when they got exactly what they asked for & had all the leverage in the first place? it's like fans expect Blitz to have traded away actual affection to Stolas, which is horrific considering Stolas never asked for The Boyfriend Experience, just sex, and even if he had Blitz would still be acting and doesn't owe him real love! (and it would still be deeply messed up for Stolas to have set the deal on those grounds too, a transactional relationship is not a relationship at all)

it just boggles my mind that 'Stolas had a bad father and was forced into an arranged marriage' suddenly means he has the right to feel hard done by because the person he forced into his Sex Extortion Deal didn't give him the True Love he actually wanted which he at no point communicated! (and fans get on Blitz's case for not communicating properly)

not to mention that Blitz also had a bad childhood but his supposedly exploitative behavior towards Stolas doesn't get a pass? not to mention that Stolas is a literal prince - yes, an arranged marriage sucks but if he doesn't want the responsibility then he could have abdicated his power & privilege. Blitz meanwhile never had an option to escape his circumstances because he's trying to keep the lights on - circumstances that, once again, Stolas trapped him into!

I just don't understand the mental backbends on display here. genuinely what's going on? are these fans just projecting a crush that didn't return their affections onto Blitz or something?

Sometimes there's not much else I can do but wearily put my hands all over an ask that says everything I want to, and this is one of those times.

Walter Hale, Jess Wade, Steve Grayson and Dr. John Carpenter (ECU) as caregivers

Walter Hale (The Trouble With Girls, 1969):

Walter definitely strikes me as the type to adapt to whatever you need. If you need someone gentle, he's there to coddle you. If you need someone stricter, he's there with rules. Whatever you need, he's got. I get the feeling he'd be good with a kiddo who is real small (0-2), but I think if push came to shove he'd also be able to take care of someone older. It all depends on the chemistry.

If he knows you're stressed or teetering over the edge of a breakdown, he has no problem 'forcing' you to regress. He's very naturally manipulative, so it works like a charm. If you're ranting and raving about something, he'll literally come up to you and just pop your pacifier in your mouth with a knowing "better?" He loves when you sit on his lap while he's in meetings, and he has no qualms about walking around the Chautauqua with you on his hip. If anyone has anything to say about your regression, they answer to him. He's the one that you go to when you need to regress, but just...can't.

He absolutely loves buying you pretty little outfits so he can show you off to all his friends, but god-forbid they cast one lustful look in your direction and they're dead before daylight. He doesn't let you get your hands dirty. He loves spoiling you, and delights in your happiness.

He loves when you call him "daddy", and when he's stressed due to work or whatever else, he'll ask you to cuddle with him. It's beneficial to the both of you; he gets to relax, and you get to spend time with him. It's a win-win!

Jess Wade (Charro!, 1969):

He is naturally very stoic, and has a resting bitch face, so he would not be great with a regressor who is incredibly sensitive. He likes taking care of older kiddos (5-9), but doesn't mind taking care of the real little ones too.

He definitely would be the type to tell you to stop crying, then go all wide-eyed and gentle when you just cry harder. He's very straightforward, and expects you to communicate when you are upset and not make him do mental gymnastics to figure out what's bothering you. If you're having a meltdown, he'll usually just leave you to cry it out unless you explicitly state that you want him there.

He doesn't really have rules, but if you are acting particularly rude or just downright mean, he does serve punishments. They are more traditional, like writing lines, cleaning one spot over and over, or standing in a corner. Always tells you afterwords how proud he is of you for handling your punishment well.

This man has absolutely NO paternal instinct, so he learns along the way. If you're having a particularly rough day, big or little, he takes you out on his horse. Sometimes, he'll grab one of his cowboy hats and play peek-a-boo with you. Your laugh is the only thing that can bring a light smile to his face. He will never ask it of you, but his heart would melt into a puddle of goo if you called him "papa."

He likes nonchalant and domestic forms of intimacy, like cleaning up around the house for you and bringing you a flower bouquet he picked himself. His favorite activity, though, is doing shared activities together in silence, eg. reading separate books, but sitting close together.

Steve Grayson (Speedway, 1968):

Steve would not consider himself to be a caregiver whatsoever, but rather just an older brother! He himself is a regressor, but stays in an old enough headspace that he's able to keep a close eye on you. He loves to sit on the floor with you and get lost in a silly game. He adores taking naps with you, but will still knock out for a few (hours) even if you don't.

He himself is very hyperactive, so he would be good with a little that has a vibrant personality and a whole lotta energy! The two of you spend hours running around at a playground, just laughing and having fun because damn it, you both deserve to be happy. He loves booping your nose and squishing your cheeks.

He takes you on fancy ice cream parlour dates once a week! You little meances order 4 scoops of ice cream with all the toppings you can pile on! (...It has enough sugar to put an old woman in a coma.) He doesn't really care about how much sugar you have, as long as you don't get a tummy ache.

He doesn't like titles, but he doesn't mind nicknames! His favorites are "Vee" and "Stevie!"

Although he is an older brother figure, he has some small rules in place for your safety. He asks that you hold his hand when crossing the street, ask him if there's something on a shelf you can't reach, etc. Just little things he can do to keep you safe and make you more comfortable!

Dr. John Carpenter (Change Of Habit, 1969):

He would make an incredible caregiver for anyone struggling with a mental illness or trauma disorder. He understands how delicate someone can be when regressed, so he is very conscious of the things he says and does around you. He understands your brain better than you do, and can tell when you're going to regress beforehand.

He is very helpful when it comes to working through sensory overloads, meltdowns and outbursts. He is so calm and patient, always looking at you with kind eyes. He never punishes you for expressing how you are feeling, but does encourage you to discuss with him the emotions and thought process' behind your words and actions.

Touch is something incredibly special to him, so he's very careful about it. He loves cradling you close to him, especially when you're upset.

He doesn't give you rules, and he lets you "take the lead", so to speak. You go to bed when you can't keep your eyes open, he lets you eat all the sweets you want until you're satisfied, and he doesn't ever force you to regress. But, he does establish somewhat of a routine to make sure you're taking good care of yourself. Something that remains consistent in your routine is that when he notices you're getting super tired, he gives you tummy rubs. He likes playing dolls with you, mainly because he pays attention to the stories you create. Sort of like play therapy!

He would be good with any little (and is good with people in general), but I get the feeling he would be really awesome taking care of a little who has a newborn or baby headspace.

How would you describe Enhypen members’ personalities? Would it change if they had a lover?

mmm, lemme think ab this anonnie!! >:0 (woops, looking back on this i definitely went overboard and it could’ve been a whole post but oh well, enjoy my rambling lmaojdihf)

the only word i can think of to describe heeseung is just so chill, he just gives me such a childhood best friend vibe. he’s someone you can always trust and be yourself with. all the members have agreed that when they have worries, he’s their go-to person to let things out and vent to. being the youngest in his family, i can see that hee has a very big childish and silly side that he has begun to show a lot more as he’s gotten more comfortable (showing off his woody and buzz light year toy on live, absolutely screaming his lungs out in the karaoke eps, constantly playing his video games even in his envlog, esp w niki). and in a relationship, heeseung would still be very casual and easygoing, except unlike around most other people, he’d let his playful side overtake his mature side that he has to put up as the oldest member with his s/o much more often. he would be quite protective, and i think the highlights of his relationship for him would be whenever he could make his partner smile or even better, laugh.

jay is just such a genuine, wonderful person. like for me it’s so easy to see how much he cares about the people he loves. he is always watching out for his members and would do anything for them, like when heeseung left his damn bowl in the middle of the table in sosofun (😭) jay fr didn’t even care or scold him, he just picked it up and washed it for him anyway. in the jaywonoo envlog, even though he’s literally only a year older than sunoo and won, he put aside any desire to have fun and join them in the pool just to focus on making dinner for the three of them. he’d be the same with his lover, perhaps even more. he’d cherish them so much. he said in a fancall something like if he had a lover he’d want to make sure they’re the happiest they can be/ he’d try to make them the happiest he can (smthn like that, if anyone finds the fancall lmk), like you will know very well he loves you every damn day. i also think with a bit of convincing on their side, he’d open up to his s/o and rant out his worries, something i feel like jay might need to do more often.

to me jake is such a bubble of joy. he has said he’s very shy and scared or being judged, and i’ve definitely noticed this in the way he usually lets the other members take the spotlight and ends up laughing in the background more than telling the jokes on variety shows/interviews. but on enoclock and just when he’s with his members, he’s so smiley and talkative <3 he’s very easygoing and so easy to get along with, jungwon (and niki agreed with this i think) said on enhypen&hi that out of all his hyungs, jake is the most easy to talk to (when sunghoon got jealous about this i was giggling im sorry) and it really shows to me! i think it’s so beautiful how jake tries to be a father figure but also a playmate for niki since he kind of missed his childhood, it goes to show how much he cares about his members in his own, perhaps overlooked way. if he had a lover, at first he’d be very shy and hard to break out of his shell, but after a while he’d let himself show and be very playful and affectionate. he’d be his s/o’s number one supporter in absolutely anything they do, always cheering them on with that boxy grin from the sidelines <3

i could fr talk about sunghoon for hours, he’s so relateable <3. i’m sure most people would have absolutely no shame and full confidence if they looked the way this man does, yet sunghoon is the most shy and humble person. with strangers and in interviews, he almost never talks unless he’s forced to. i’m pretty sure he’s spoken about having trouble socially, and growing up he was put into figure skating because his parents recognised how shy he was and wanted a way for him to meet new people and grow. now that he has a home with enha, you can really see how relaxed and at ease he is with the members. sometimes it’s more subtle, but he’s pretty teasing and rarely shows any affection. i think a big part of his teasing side is to cover up how easily he gets flustered and shy jsdjdjh honestly, i think he’s hilarious and his humor is underrated, just watch some enoclock episodes; he says and does the most random but funny things (i’ll never forget his iconic look in episode 19/20 with the cowboy hat and green glasses, and in iland when he randomly screamed over pyeonyuk 😭) his humor has no specific trail, it’s just out of the blue and that makes it funnier lmao. i think sunghoon puts a lot of faith and trust in his members (sosofun when he straight up left them to deal with the ticket payments 😭, and when he was practicing for mubank he facetimed jungwon to help rehearse), and in a relationship he’d do the same. he’d also be very teasing and playful and wouldn’t show public affection too much, behind closed doors would probably be the highest chance of getting some kisses n’ cuddles from him. he’d try to be the cocky and smug one in the relationship, but if his partner is brave enough to not start immediately blushing and fight back, you can corner him easily 💀

my ball of sunshine.. sunoo is for real a best friend everyone would die for. he’ll always laugh at your jokes, he always brightens the mood like the life of the party he is. i dont need any examples for everyone to know this boy’s absolutely hilarious and so sarcastic. my favorite clip of him ever is on his bday vlive when he recieved anonymous letters from the members and he just roasted the shit out of all of them except jungwon, the sarcastic comments??? “wow, i’m so touched i’m gonna cry *pretends to stab eyes*” “seriously, thank you so much *sassy eye roll” god he’s so funny 😭 though he’s almost always the one being teased, you can truly see how much he means to the people around him. the members may be pretty harsh with the teasing all the time but they care about him so much, never forgettinf when they brought a fox plushie around when he was sick, and at the concert when they were all patting him n’ holding him while he was crying :( sunoo’s just someone you can always rely on to be there and make you feel welcomed. in a relationship sunoo would be a bit more serious. he’d always be watching out for his partner’s health and safety, making sure you’re eating and sleepong well. he’d definitely be a bit playful, probably pinching his s/o’s cheeks constantly n’ taking lots of candid shots for his lockscreen <3.

jungwon is very easily described as mature. too mature for his age. heeseung mentioned how he worried for jungwon, and how he was forced to grow up so fast, and i agree that it’s unbelievable how he became the leader of enhypen at 16 years old and has done such an outstanding job at it. he’s patient, humble, and so dependable. he’s always the one starting up the intro conversations for enoclock and other shows, and he always puts up a smile no matter what. honestly, as a new engene i remember being flabbergasted at how he was the second youngest just watching niki be a hyper chaotic menace while won would just be sitting there with the most disapproving 👁. i think jungwon is someone everyone around him secretly really appreciates. the members don’t say sappy stuff to each other a lot, but i’m sure if they were to be given the chance, most of them would want to say something to thank their amazing leader. his personality would 100% become more relaxed and childish with his s/o. won doesn’t get to act his age much at all, so he’d relish in being able to giggle and fool around with his love. his partner would always be reminded of how special they are to him, he isn’t afraid to show a lot of affection as long as there’s privacy. also, i feel like jungwon wouldn’t get jealous very easily, mostly because he just has so much faith and trust in his partner that anyone else doesn’t matter to him.

niki has slowly been getting more and more mature. watching enhypen&hi and other old content makes me a bit sad for some reason. he used to be quite loud and hyper, always playing pranks and screaming in the members ears during lives (💀) but now he’s definitely, if not the quietest member who just adds a few comments every once in a while during lives/shows. while it is a little sad, it’s understandable since he is at a big changing part of life and this is just how he is, and we still love him always for it! niki is very subtle and the least likely to show a hint of affection, but it’s clear he cares deeply for his members and close ones. i think he really admires his hyungs, especially heeseung (it’s adorable seeing how much hee makes him laugh). niki also radiates such a strong aura, he walks with utter confidence and with his head held high. he also isn’t afraid to tease his members despite being the youngest, his sly comments and mocking is part of his love language which is also the same if he was in a relationship. if you’ve read any of my hcs/reactions you know i’m a strong believer niki would be very laid back and teasing with his s/o. but notice he’s only like that with people he’s very close to? yeah, it’s truly his way of showing his love and that he trusts you. the longer his relationship goes, the more he’d open up for physical affection, though he’s still definitely not one for pda.

I saw a post that put something into words SO WELL for me that I'm now going to have to ramble a bit about it myself.

ANYWAY! This is about Q!Baghera and Q!Etoiles 'adopting' Dapper without talking to Q!Bad first (This post is about the characters, I just won't put Q! infront of each name because I know I'll forget at some point. No neg to anyone)

Ramble starts under cut v

So let's get how I feel about it out the way. I don't like it. People insisting Baghera is Dapper's mum is frustrating to me. Baghera and Dapper insisting she's his mum without acknowledging Bad isn't comfortable with it is frustrating.

Why do I think this? Because it's inconsiderate to Bad's feelings. Bad has been a single parent from the start. He never had an assigned partner like everyone else, even if they left. It has always been Bad and Dapper. He's on every single day to see his son, the first day he takes a day off isn't a proper day off (as the cc!Bad was still online, just didn't stream).

So he takes his first real break in months, he comes back, excited to see his son again just to find out he's got another parent while he was gone. No consulting him about it. Just forced to accept it.

Yes, Dapper is happy so he never truly complains, but it'd still hurt. It's been him and Dapper only from the start, yet he takes a 5 day break and suddenly someone else has claimed Dapper as their son. It'd probably feel like he's being replaced because he's been deemed not good enough.

Something I want to point out is Bad's reason for not wanting to suggest adopting Tallulah. He didn't want it to feel like he was replacing her papi, saying he'll never be back. So if you take that into account on how Bad sees things, then he's feeling like he's replaceable and been replaced. Even if Dapper doesn't think so at all, that's how it'd come across, especially with the point of he was only gone for 5 days before being 'replaced'.

Sure, every egg should feel the love of the island, but that doesn't mean becoming their parent. They can show they love an egg without deciding they're now a parent to the egg. Bad has shown this loads of times! With every gift he gets them, every time he's happy to watch them, every time he makes sure they're prepared enough to survive and listening to their wants and needs.

It'd hurt a lot to see your kid decide they need more parents. Because that suggests the lack of something their first parent isn't giving them. And pouring your heart and soul into this kid, just for them to decide that the second you're gone they need someone else as their parent.

There's multiple people who don't come on daily (Phil and Fit mainly) yet people don't insist on adopting their kids. So how come the 5 days Bad isn't on someone suddenly decides they should be Dapper's parent without consulting Bad what so ever, even if Dapper asked you'd still consult Bad!

While Baghera isn't trying to take Dapper away from Bad and has 0 bad intentions, they both still ignore Bad's feelings about the topic and insist he should be okay with it because they are and it's a 2 v 1 therefore they win.

While I love Baghera, this has annoyed me and her insistence on how Bad is in the wrong about it frustrates me. The fandom insisting she is Dapper's other parent gets frustrating as it feels like people can't just be a single parent from the start (everyone else had an assigned partner, even if they only appeared 1 day, except Bad) without needing another parent, even if they're just the fun parent!

Just my thoughts brought out because of another post, so this was a rant about it lol.

Right, let's see how this goes.

Last book I read: Pride and Prejudice. Had never read it before but the whole Tim Downie cameo got me doing it. Then watched the BBC series with a friend and we swooned something major over Colin Firth. I've picked up some other books since then but just haven't found the motivation to get through them. Looking at Dark Tower book 5 as well for the last year...

Greatest literary inspiration: I'm honestly not sure. My partner is the real reader of the two of us. I've enjoyed Dark Tower, The Witcher Series (Honestly still in love with Cahir from them), and Leaves of Grass is my poetry go-to. But inspiration, going to be silly but the Hardcore series by Andy Remic (RIP), is such a great series of books. They're not the most literary genius type books but the action is cool, I love the characters. They make me want to write cool shit too.

Things in my current fandom I want to read but I don't want to write:

Smut. Honestly, my abilities with writing smut are limited. I have no patience for flowery language (yeah I write poetry but I know what I mean.) but it means when it comes to writing my own smut it is very matter-of-fact and lacks what I'm looking for. I'm also very picky about my smut due to an annoying logical brain. If you say someone moves their arm and then they move something else I see that and if I can't follow it directly I'm just going to put it down.

You can recognise my writing by:

Lots of short prose-type sentences. I like the effect of repetition and I especially like writing in a more personal talking type way. I especially love to monologue so if anyone does recognise my writing it's probably from these things. I especially love writing anything angst, it's so therapeutic and I love being able to draw out emotions from other people. I can do this with sweet fluff stuff too but angst really is more enjoyable.

My most controversial take ( current fandom):

I hate the word folds. (Not fandom relations but still.) Makes me think of a packed ham sandwich.

Fandom-related though - Astarion fans can get pretty feral over their views of his character. I get it, Gale fans are the same but I've left groups over the rabidness.

Current writing mood (10 – super motivated and churning out words like crazy, 0 – in a complete rut): Currently about a 4 but it can vary depending on the hour and the inspiration. I completed the Nana story and now feel a little lost as to what the next project will be. Ideas are escaping me.

Top three favourite tropes: The whole "enemy to lovers" thing. I mean this in a 2 people who argue and fall in love, not as in the real enemies to lovers.

Star-crossed lovers, especially if they really are both doomed. Astarion/Karlach if she is going to burn up. I love that tragic acceptance. Give me more of that.

I like a loveable rogue too. Hook from OUAT.

Share a random frustration: AU fiction losing characterisations. Once your fiction hits a point where you could replace the characters with any other from any other series I'm going to stop reading it. Great, you want X to be sub, but if he wouldn't actually act that way in canon, why are you even using him as a character? It's AU, fine but then make it OC or use another fandom. Don't force me to read through 13 chapters of semi-ok stuff just to destroy the characters so you can fulfil the soap opera-esque drama that gets you the hits. I get it's difficult but this is my pet peeve. Rant over...

hi hi!! not a bother at all!! Can't remember if I've really spoken about this outside of my close circles but I have decided to focus exclusively on Cryptid♡Crush, commissions, and other projects at the moment. As an artist I've realized it's silly for me to force myself to work on projects that just don't bring me joy anymore, ya know? Not to say Primavera never brought me any joy, but more like I've outgrown the story and characters in a few ways. This was definitely a story I wrote for early 20's Izel, someone who was stil struggling with themselves gender and sexuality wise, and not sure how to feel comfort in this truth while being the child of mexican immigrants who were struggling to accept me.

Now I'm very much heading into my late 20's, I've moved out of what used to be an abusive household for me during much of my life. My parents have made great leaps in accepting me to the point where i've finally found the peace and ability to get married with my partner of 7 years. Of course I'm still figuring myself out in a lot of ways but I think more than anything I want to focus on something where characters already know who they are... they're just looking for that space of acceptance, a place to be themselves unabashedly and have fun and make friends and deal with the things i'm currently going through!

A lot of times I think our oc's tend to grow with us or we grow out of them and make new ones to fit our current selves ykno. And I think that's just kind of whats happened jajaja. Maybe one day I'll take a dive back into those characters, but they are very much tied to a very specific story and period of time in my life for me. I know I've kind of fucked myself in a lot of ways by committing to making art my job, and I know jobs aren't inherently fun, but god damn it I want to make sure I'm enjoying myself anyways... even if that means having to get a part time in order to work on a project that is less accessible to audiences but much more fun for me jajaja

In other words, I no longer find myself interested in telling the story about awkward gay mex-am 20 year olds figuring themselves out cause I'm now an extremely queer 26 year old who knows who they are and is much more focused on meeting other queer and trans people like me and making friends and surviving adulthood jajaja. And in a lot of ways those two things are very similar when it comes to acceptance and belonging! Just in different stages if that makes sense! And I'm sure when I'm in my 30's this will change, and 50's and so on!

Regardless I want to make sure I'm doing everything in my power to make sure I'm making myself happy in my own work... I originally became an artist because I loved the joy it brought to others, and it still is a very important to me that a lot of that remains true in my art! But I think keeping that joy sincere, by making sure its something I also find joy in, is even more important. :o]

ANYWAYS!!! I didn't mean to go on such a long rant just to say I wanna draw gay t4t monster sex but well there ya go JAJAJAJA!
