Surviving Saturn's Return: Reflections at 31 Shaina Tranquilino April 28, 2024

As I blow out the candles on my 31st birthday cake, I can't help but reflect on the journey that brought me here. It's not just another year older; it's a milestone that marks the end of a significant astrological phenomenon: my Saturn Return.

For those unfamiliar, Saturn Return is a concept in astrology where the planet Saturn completes its orbit around the sun, returning to the same position it occupied at the time of your birth. It typically occurs around ages 28-30 and is believed to herald a period of intense self-reflection, growth, and transformation.

As I navigated my Saturn Return, I often found myself confronted with challenges and obstacles that forced me to confront my deepest fears, insecurities, and limitations. It was a time of reckoning, where the universe seemed to conspire to push me out of my comfort zone and into the unknown.

One of the most profound lessons I learned during my Saturn Return was the importance of embracing change and letting go of what no longer served me. Whether it was a toxic relationship, a dead-end job, or limiting beliefs about myself, Saturn demanded that I release anything that was holding me back from fulfilling my true potential.

But Saturn's lessons were not always easy or comfortable. There were moments of doubt, uncertainty, and fear as I grappled with the unknown. Yet, it was precisely through these struggles that I discovered my inner strength, resilience, and courage.

As I emerged on the other side of my Saturn Return, I found myself transformed in ways I could have never imagined. I had shed old skins and emerged as a truer, more authentic version of myself. I had gained clarity about my goals, values, and purpose in life. And perhaps most importantly, I had developed a deeper sense of self-acceptance and self-love.

Now, as I celebrate my 31st birthday, I do so with a newfound sense of gratitude and appreciation for the journey that brought me here. I am grateful for the challenges that tested me, the lessons that taught me, and the growth that transformed me.

But I also recognize that my Saturn Return was just the beginning of a lifelong journey of self-discovery and personal growth. There will undoubtedly be more challenges, more lessons, and more opportunities for growth in the years to come.

So here's to 31, and to whatever the future may hold. May I continue to embrace change, face challenges with courage, and never stop growing, evolving, and becoming the best version of myself.

I once wrote that I was somewhat paradoxical, which is still relatable but also concerns me to some degree.

A mercurial self, keen to swiftly run from one thing to another. That includes ricocheting between excess and deprivation, mourning party and God complex, intensely desolated and overly feisty, resilience and relinquishment, "manifesting..." or "but at what cost?" Oh, I could go on for another six paragraphs about this..

.

When I was fifteen, I dreamed everything exactly as I have today, minus the deafening silence as the side effects of freedom. I clearly forgot to dream of myself as a bride; it was never in my orbit. I am (ironically) a Venusian soul, who never gets the chance to even grasp the warmth of genuine endearment but never ceases to spread incandescence to others. I'm not sure of what that means, but I resonate with the saying, "What's yours is yours, what's mine is mine." Hence, I will continue to move accordingly within my orbit to find whatever is "mine."

When I was twenty, I was thrilled by the vague peace of death. Now, I still am, but more in a relinquished way. In that sense, I know that I'll always be orbiting around sepulchral things, just like the stars say.

.

Not long ago, surrounded by dark-gray bathroom walls that somehow aligned with the heart-gripping feeling within, I silently cried and said to myself, "Nevertheless, I will thrive." It humbles me now, given the controversial definition of "thriving" itself. My version of "thriving" isn't conventionally acceptable to some of my folks. I am thriving, but according to whom? I am thriving, but at what cost? I am thriving and sinking simultaneously, but was it all just in my head?

Hypothetically, I can say that I am thriving, yet the conclusion remains uncertain. At the end of the day, I am just a girl—the (less) insane one.Welcome to your Saturn return, my beloved (less) insane girl, I hope you never cease to see the light. I hope you can get across the border. I hope you find the world is finally worthwhile.

It's the return of greek philosophy. We have a poor education system in Arizona. I live in a college town. There isn't much to do under quarantine other than to learn something. The libraries are still open and there are a lot of us searching for answers that can be found online and in books. Corporate is up to no good 😊💯. Goons. Explained, explained it. The one percent. They are stressing out our vagus nerve. Vaguely ignoring that there is another side to science and that is spiritual. You can't have one without the other. The existence of one is another. People sound smart 🤓 to dumb people.

I hope that cabbage 🥬 turns out well ❤️‍🩹 today. I am having a wellness birthday 🎈🎂 it's going well so far. N minor panic and anxiety. It's my cranial nerves. I have to work on them. I need acupuncture. Not many do it around here. It is something I would like to learn. The schooling is so expensive for an ancient practice.

The more wellness practitioners we have them the more options we can provide when it comes to your health. 💕🧬 It's real. It's one of the aspirations on the SIM. Asperger's. I have it. It goes undiagnosed in most cases. I saw it on a TV show necessary roughness. Who do you go to about these things? 🤔 Our primary is busy 😕 so we do need a secondary care physician. One who is non traditional. It said it on mind your manners. You need Feng shot Shui and an east medicine doctor.
