Since "My Darling, My Honey" is finally completed, what's next?

(There, there...don't be too sad! I'm not going anywhere!)

Writing:

For writing, I'm mostly going to take a bit of a break- but if you guys have any ideas or headcannons you'll like me to take a look at and maybe do a little "imagine" here and there, im open to that!

So- (mostly Alastor) headcannon/requests are now open!

Also, I definitely want to continue my little "Hazbin Hotel Dress-Up" series of drawings. I've drawn Charlie in a cute outfit, and I intend to getting to all the rest or the cast including: Vaggie, Lucifer, Lilith, Alastor, Angel, Husk, Nifty, Sir Pentious, Carmilla, Mimzy, Vox, Velvette, and (ugh) even Valentino. I even want to draw Lute, Adam Emily and Sera in cute/cool outfits too! (Let me know if I'm forgetting anyone)

After I draw all those designs, I want to try making illustrations of all of them in my style- maybe I'll make prints or something of them someday!

But for the short term, I basically have a lot of art ideas- mostly hazbin hotel ideas lol.

(Also, I'd like to start doing some Hazbin Hotel screenshot redraws for fun so if you have any- send them into my ask box/submissions!)

It's that confession scene from Pride and Prejudice but set it in 1800s Spanish colonized Philippines

I really wanted to redraw this scene, but I didn't know which pairing I could use, since most of my ships already have this redraw.

Then someone on twitter mentioned that Filay (Fidel and Klay) would fit this scene and I couldn't agree more. So here.

I never liked the duology back in highschool. I never read em, but I kinda know what happens and you wanna know why?

The teacher I had, don't get me wrong, she was a lovely person, and I learned a lot from her. However, when it came to discussing these two books, no matter how many notes I've studied/memorized and read future chapters, she'd never include them in exams or quizzes and you're all left in the battlefield making up bs answers as you go. Like What???

Then this show (or teleserye as the locals would call it lol) came along, which is basically an isekai to the first book and boom, historical Philippines brainrot. The protagonist is, well, essentially sort of a Mary Sue, but I am in awe by how progressive some of the episodes are to the point I even cried which is ironic considering this takes place in the past wow. This country, as that one article said it, treats progression like the plague and it was refreshing to see it on television for the first time.

Kinda regretted that I never took these two books seriously now, and whenever I look for them in bookstores/libraries I can no longer find traces of the books, which is a shame, you'd think that when a show with such huge production would have the money to republish/reprint the books as some sort of promotion, but oh well maybe someday I'd be able to finally read them.

All your headcanons of the Bros as babies has made me crave content of them at all ages growing up. Being each other’s wingman when the other develops a crush. Bullies quickly learning they better not mess with Luigi or else they have Mario to deal with and they do NOT want that

Ah thank you 😊 I'm happy you like my headcanons; I gushed a lot when writing them and I know some people find that stuff strange...but I get fascinated when media portrays such a deep, beautiful, and healthy bond between characters. Especially one that is established to have developed from when they were so young...

It is a shame that we don't see them as kids, or even teens in the movie. Maybe Nintendo just didn't want to go that far yet they were still happy for Illumination to create an entire family for them... but it would've been nice to see more of Mario defending Luigi throughout their whole lives, not just as a baby and then an adult. Sorry, but in my opinion, it just adds more weight to the relationship when you see them in all stages of life.

But yes, Mario would of course get into fights with bullies picking on Luigi. More than often getting a black eye or bruised ribs. The number of times Luigi had to clean Mario's wounds, crying over how he's useless and can't even defend himself, let alone his big brother. And Mario wiping his brother's tears away and saying (with such sincerity) that he would take a hit for Luigi, because he wants to keep his little bro safe no matter what. They may be the same age, but Mario can't stand to sit by and let him get hurt or sad. That's been the vow he made since they came out the womb.

And yes, they would totally be each other's wingmen once they got old enough for dating 😉 Luigi less so, as Mario would've been a little more confident. I certainly don't see him as smooth as Danny Zuko; he would certainly need a bit of a nudge. But once he does, he asks them out straight away.

Luigi, even with all the nudging from Mario, would take about a week or two to even ask anyone out on a date. And then when Luigi eventually does, he sidles up to them shyly, places a bouquet of flowers in their hands, then blurts out "Will you go out with me?!"

Then he's halfway across the sports court before anyone else can process what he just said.

Oh! You mentioning Mario and Luigi being each other's wingmen also reminded me of this scene (one of my favourites) from the 1993 movie, when Mario helps Luigi ask Daisy out.

For context: Daisy is the princess in this movie, not Peach. And she was born in another world, but raised on Earth and became an archaeologist.

When they first meet her, and Luigi is goofing up his intro, Mario makes his hilarious reaction

And then when Luigi clearly isn't getting any further, Mario steps in

"What my brother is trying to say, is that he doesn't know what to say!"

Even though the brothers are different ages in this movie (with Mario being more the father figure) I can totally see 2023 Mario doing this! In fact I may attempt to do this as a redraw someday 👀

Then after they drop her back at the dig site, Mario feeds Luigi words to tell Daisy, so the latter can ask her out to dinner.

After they part ways with her, Mario and Luigi have this funny exchange (again, another moment I can totally see the 2023 Mario and Luigi having!)

"What would you do without your big brother?"

"I'd like to give it a shot and find out..."

"Ah come on!"

"I was just about to ask her that!"

"You weren't about to ask her nothing, you was gonna let her go!"

Some Stargate Atlantis doodles I drew back in 2009 (and touched up a tiny bit recently) that I'm sharing partly for a little bit of self accountability, as I've been wanting to redraw this page for a long time, and still haven't gotten to it. And also partly sharing this because, despite a few things I desperately wish I'd known how to draw back then (like all of Rodney; for the life of me I could not figure out how to draw him right, and I still feel awful about it 😭), and despite now wishing I'd drawn other things differently, I still somehow drew all of this from memory alone (while out of the house and itching to continue my fifth-or-so consecutive SGA rewatch), and I am proud of it in the end! And wanted to share, mistakes and successes and all. And hope any other SGA fans who might see this like it too.

And yeah, am hoping to revisit this sometime soon and see how much my art has changed since then, and hopefully also manage to do everyone justice this time. And maybe have John and Rodney interacting with each other too. And am hoping to draw Teyla and Ronon someday soon too. And so many others and more SGA in general too; I still love them all and this show so much!

1. Who was your first ever OC? Do you still “use” them? How have they evolved over time?

Marzipan! Made her back when Kirby's return to Dreamland first hit America, I was abouuut 11ish (I'm not good at math, so that might be wrong.). Sadly, I don't have that old sketch book anymore!

I do infact still use her, she's my pride and joy next to Levi!

Her character has mostly remained intact, the notable changes being her story and how I draw her today! I don't remember the original story either, I'm sorry xD, but her OG design was almost this, with some minor differences, like only having a buckle!

Compared to her current design, I'd say she's evolved a lot since then!

29. What was your first fandom you were in? Did you make any art/fanfic for it?

i'm still here!

i haven't posted art here in ages, not like I've made anything new in ages either, but I figured i'd start posting my older works to social media since I've finally kinda-sorta started drawing again recently, so this week I'll try and post a bunch of months-old things that I've worked on! And maybe a couple newish things too~

This is a bunch of messy sketches I worked on a while back, it's actually one of my favorite projects so far because I was getting bogged down in the details w/ the first sketch I was working on, and I was like "wait this is dumb this is going to take forever and I just keep feeling more miserable-er" so I decided to just wing it and do a bunch of super fast and rough counter sketch things and it actually worked???

so I went back over one of them a few times building it up, then I used the pose I was drawing as a guide to draw a different character in that pose, and it's the first time I've ever really done that? at least with a full-body thing, as opposed to background stuff

and the fischl painting??? actually kinda worked ngl

I really like showing off these rougher behind-the-scenes details because it's so easy to get caught up in the super fancy finished products that a lot of artists post, and obviously that stuff is amazing, but I also think it's nice to show the uglier side underneath all that, so that way newer and aspiring artists can see that the process of art is more complicated than just "have talent, make pretty picture", it's about actually screwing around and trying things out and not being afraid to make mistakes, knowing that nothing is permanent and it's better to try and see what happens instead of fearing that you won't be perfect...

anyways I haven't quite drawn like this in like two months or smth dumb like that, but I'm trying to get back on track! there's a Honkai comic I want to work on (redrawing a scene from Elysian Realm) and I still have tons of projects to get working on someday, so I need to actually draw and do things so I can actually get kinda good-ish at art, y'know??

I just,,, get really passionate abt art every now and then. I've been trying to branch out more in my art especially bc I'd love to maybe do a big, giant art project all my own someday that I could share with people.

Comic, graphic novel, animation, whatever. It's always been a dream of mine to just do something like that in the future. Me being inspired by so many artists who do these things themselves, which I saw and was like, hey, that's what I wanna do.

(But again also the mortifying ordeal of being known likes to hang its head over my shoulder when I think abt doing stuff like that too lol. It would certainly be a challenge when I have anxiety and other issues that would make it hard..)

None of this is anything I'd want to commit to attempting now at all, but when I'm ready.... several or a few years from now,, whatever,,,

Part of the reason why Iike practicing drawing so so much is this!!! I can get REALLY obsessive abt drawing sometimes.

Of course first and foremost it is for my enjoyment, my silly little doodles are always just for me and then I have other stuff I do to hopefully push myself in the direction to,,, someday take on a great art project because I would also enjoy that. It would be very special to me. I want to inspire people the way I've been inspired by things!

So yeah, I love art a lot!!

*gaaassspppppppp* I'm gon ramble, but tl;dr version up here.

Everything. If I had to pick one thing though, I'd probably say faces. I've come to terms with my oven-mitt hands 😅

Hmmm the thing to draw someday? Like something on my to-do list or like an art goal piece? 🤔 My "to-draw" list is so long, but it's mostly just funny memes/incorrect quotes/situations to be redrawn as chibi comics. On a more serious note, art 'goal' pieces would probably be snapshots of fics I looovveee. Sort of as a 'thank you' to fic authors for being able to paint such a vivid image in my pea brain with their amazing words (and hopefully to make up for me not always commenting orz).

Ramble time c:

Drawing used to be a lot easier for me. I would sketch 2-3 pages every night, line/color half of those sketches, and post them along with quick work doodles. Now I think I'm being hard on myself. Since I'm currently obsessed with HOA and the characters are much more realistic, I get pretty demotivated when I can't capture their likeliness. So, Thank you for calling my art cute ;A; I was pretty afraid of posting in the beginning since I oversimplified all the characters' faces (I still do, but potato potathoe).

Fun fact: I have a written and electronic list of my 'to-draws'. AND they both contain different things because why would I make it easy for myself? 😁 My electronic list is actually my tumblr drafts x'D Current count: 240. For the written ones, I grabbed a few scrap pages of the ideas-- theres a small journal at work too. (Yes, I am an absolute creep who writes people screen names down;; In my defense, my memory is absolute garbage and it'll help me give proper credit if/when I do draw and post it). For the fic redraw list, it's just (so far, 88) screenshots of the fic passage.
