Harvey (SDV) x reader(female)
Warnings: Language, Violence, Death, Nightmares
Word count: 2.6k
Helloooo everyone! New blog dedicated to my rekindled Stardew Valley obsession. First fic obviously must go to my beloved doctor, you will be seeing him here a lot. I hope you enjoy and hope you don't hold my terrible grammar and probably terrible spelling against me 😅 I have no excuse. English is all I speak and I do it terribly.
====================================
Tumblr media
====================================
You’ve had an exhausting day, it was the end of the season and you had been fishing all day for the last fish you needed for the community centre and the ones you needed just were not biting.
“Finally!!” You squealed as you reeled up the last fish you needed, sighing loudly you stretched your limbs and groaned as your joints crack softly. It was so much later than you realised, it was already dark out.
You wandered through the town square, eyelids drooping, trying to stay awake when you passed the calendar and help wanted board and your eyes shot open as you rushed over and let your finger scroll over the date and you curse yourself. You had accepted a quest from Clint a week ago to kill 50 Slimes you hadn’t gotten around to finishing it, too busy trying to finish these fishing bundles, today was the last day left! You let your forehead fall against the wall as you look down at your watch, 7pm, you could finish and get home in time surely? You only had 7 left to kill, easy work.
“Harvey is always upset when I get home late…oh but I promised Clint. Uhg…one more late night won’t kill him, I’ll just give him some extra kisses. He can’t stay mad at me.” You giggled and slowly pushed yourself off of the wall and started making your way to the mountains and down into the caves. The trail to the caves felt extra long tonight, you splashed your face in the lake trying to wake yourself up a bit before you entered the caves.
You slash at the monsters in the cave, stumbling at the force behind your swing, you were panting and clinging to the wall of the cave. Maybe this wasn’t the best idea after all…You felt so, so tired…No. No! You only had one more left. You glance down at your watch, 12am…damn it really was getting late.
“One left. One more. I got this…I got this…” You mumble to yourself, repeating the sentiment that you could do this as you start climbing down the ladder, using the inside of your elbow, squeezing the ladder rungs between your forearm and bicep to help support your weary muscles as you climb down, shaking a little bit, two steps from the bottom you lose your footing and slip off the ladder.
“AH!” Your body hits the floor and your head bounces off the ground, you squeeze your eyes shut and lift a shaky hand to your bleeding head, the room feels like it was spinning. “Ow…” you lay there flat on your back on the ground for a moment staring up at the ceiling as a ringing filled your ears, it was at this point you hear the familiar squelching sound of slimes approaching.
With great effort and loud groans you push yourself up onto your hands and knees and are met with 5 slimes, using your sword to push yourself up to your feet you lunge at one of them slashing it in half, your vision is spinning and everything is blurry and out of focus you were cursing yourself, this had been a horrible idea. With every slash at the creatures you staggered trying to catch yourself, every hit from the monsters was causing worse aches in your muscles, cuts and bruises littered your body and you were getting to a point where you had embedded your sword into the ground using it to keep yourself upright leaning on it more than actually attacking the monsters, you desperately tried to kick the slimes away and with the hand that wasn’t white knuckling your sword you tried to swat away the insects cutting into your flesh with their sharp claws. The few slimes left leap up attacking you, smashing into your chest the sudden force knocks you back to the floor, you desperately try to reach out and grab your sword, your hand sliding down your sword slices your palm open as you topple over your head once again hitting the hard ground of the cave, you fall unconscious.
====================================
Linus had seen the farmer go into the mines hours ago but he hadn't seen her leave yet, the farmer always took the path past his tent through the back of the mountains to get back to the farm late at night. He was getting anxious it was almost 2am he had a terrible feeling something was wrong. Linus walked over to the adventures guild and started pounding on the door. After several moments the door was yanked open and a very disgruntled Marlon was standing infront of Linus.
“What?!” Marlon growls a deep frown set in his features.
“I think the Farmer is in trouble. She is still in the mines…”
Marlon groans and turns back into the guild, leaving the door open as he reaches over the counter and pulls his sword up into his arms. He walks out of the guild, pushing past Linus, slamming the door behind him.
“That kid is going to be the death of me…let's go then.” Marlon sheaths his sword and rubs his forehead.
The two men head into the mines, every level was littered with dead creatures and exposed ladders, the farmer had definitely been here. They made their way down more levels of the mines.
“Oh Yoba!!” Linus yells as they round a corner and are met with an unconscious farmer being smothered by creatures, cave insects, slimes, even a stray cave crab was slashing at their defenceless body.
“Well fuck.” Marlon unsheathed his sword and starts slicing at all the creatures making quick work of them. “Get the farmer!!” He yells at Linus as he brings his sword down piercings the crab.
Linus grabs the farmer under her arms and starts dragging her body towards the ladder leaving a trail of blood in the dirt. Marlon quickly grabs the farmers sword off the ground and rushes over to the ladder. Marlon grabs the farmers legs and they quickly climb up to a level with an elevator. As soon as Marlon saw the elevator he grabs the farmer off of Linus and starts carrying her by himself.
“Is she okay? She doesn't look like she is breathing!” Linus is fussing over the unconscious farmer the entire time they are in the elevator. A loud ding sounds and the doors open to the main level of the mines. Marlon sighs with relief.
“Linus. Go get Robin to call the farmhouse. Call Harvey. Get him to the clinic. Tell him Y/n needs him NOW!”
Linus rushes out of the mines sprinting towards Robins house. Marlon follows behind him carrying the limp unconscious body of the farmer in his arms. Marlon kept glancing down at the farmers face he was trying so desperately not to show how alarmed he was. Everyone else was going to freak out someone needed to be to be calm and reasonable but tears filled his eyes as he thought about how injured his dear friend was, was she going to make it…? He shook his head and kept heading out the mountains. No, he couldn’t think like that, he was going to get them to the clinic in time and Harvey was going to save her.
Marlon was rushing past Robins house, the door was wide open, he was the chaos inside, Linus and Robin were practically screaming into the phone as they saw Marlon and the injured farmer rush past the house down towards the town. Maru was pushing past everyone in the hallway, shoving them out of the way as she rushed out to catch up to Marlon.
====================================
*RINGGG RIIINGGG RINGG*
Harvey groaned and rolled over in bed to hold his wife and was suddenly aware of the absence of the second person in his bed he frowned and rubbed his eyes gently tapping around on the bed trying to find her.
*RINGGG RINGGG*
Harvey groans and flings his hand over to the nightstand and blindly feels around until the phone is in his hands.
“Hello?” His voice was gruff and tired.
“Harvey you need to get to the clinic now!!” He was met with Robins frantic voice and he sat up finally starting to wake up.
“Robin? Calm down tell me what is happening?”
“HARVEY NOW YOU NEED TO GO NOW. IT Y/N!” Robin sounded like she was about to burst into tears.
Harvey’s heart stopped, he looked up at the clock on the wall, 2am? She wasn’t home…? His mind was running through every single injury she had ever gotten. Every operation he has had to preform. Every single time he scolded her for staying out so late, for being so reckless. A horrible feeling of dread was starting to choke him.
“I’m leaving right now.” Harvey hung up the phone and flung the blankets of off him.
Harvey was practically flying out of the house, stumbling over his own feet as he grabbed a coat off the hanger and slid his shoes on without even tying the laces. He slammed the door behind him so hard it shook the wall slightly as he ran out of the farmhouse.
Harvey was sprinting towards the town square, towards his clinic, he was fumbling with the keys in his coat pocket. The cold night air was making his tears feel cold. By the time he reached the clinic he was out of breath and trying his hardest not to breakdown but his mind was racing with every horrible outcome. What kind of shape would she be in when she got here? He was pacing around the clinic preparing everything he thought he might need.
It took 10 minutes for Marlon to reach the clinic, Maru rushed in first and held the door open, the sound of the bell dinging caused Harvey to stop dead in his tracks and stare teary eyed at Maru, who looked equally distressed.
“H…Harvey…she isn’t breathing…” Maru has tears in her eyes.
Marlon entered the clinic holding the farmers limp body and he looked like he was about to start shaking and crying. Marlon places the farmer down on an examination table Harvey had already prepared. Harvey was looking wide eyed at Maru for a moment before he rushes over to the table and tries to take his wife’s pulse but he can’t find one, tears are streaming down his face as he stares at his wife, her bruised cut up body laying there in front of him. Maru was softly crying and Marlon was leaning in the corner of the room with an unreadable expression.
“No. No she isn’t…She can’t be.” Harvey climbs up on the table and starts doing CPR.
“Harvey.” Maru steps closer to him but he doesn’t stop, he leans down pressing his lips to his wife breathing air into her lungs.
“Wake up…wake up!” he is pushing down harder against her chest.
“Harvey.”
“NO! SHE IS OKAY. WAKE UP!” Tears are rolling off his cheeks as he keeps giving her chest compressions, leaning down trying desperately to force air into her lungs.
“HARVEY!” Maru yells at him with tears streaming down her face.
“NO SHE CAN’T BE. SHE…she can’t…” His compressions slow down.
“Harvey…” Maru puts a hand on his arm urging him to get down and he shoves her hand away.
He leans down collapsing onto his wife’s body and starts sobbing, he clings to her, wrapping his arms around her as tight as he can.
“Harvey…man you have to stop…” Marlon grabs Harvey’s shoulder and tries to pull him off.
“GET OFF OF ME!” Harvey sobs trying to shove Marlon away.
====================================
Harvey shoots straight up in bed he tried to scream it came out as a strangled wail his voice cracked, his eyes were filled with tears. He was gripping at his heaving chest, gasping desperately for breath. His eyes were darting around the room as he struggled to breathe.
“Harvey…?” You softly whisper as you sit up in bed and place a hand on his arm softly, looking up at him with sleepy eyes you find his hand covering his mouth as he sobs, wide eyed and straight ahead.
“Harvey?! Are you okay? Sweetheart what happened…what's wrong??” You sit up higher on the bed and place one hand on his chest and the other gently on his cheek rubbing your thumb softly over his face whipping away the tears that were streaming over his cheeks.
“H…Harvey..? What's wrong talk to me what happened..? Harvey darling…?” Your voice was shaking a little full of concern
He doesn't even speak as he jerks forward and wraps his arms around you pulling you tightly against his chest as he cries hard into your shoulder
“oh!…Harvey…” you wrap your arms around his head holding him against you, gently running your fingers through his hair softly scratching at his scalp “shhh….shh it's alright sweetheart…it's okay shhh I'm right here it's okay…” his grip on you tightened clinging to you like you were about to disappear, like his arms were the only thing holding you to the earth.
“You were gone…” his voice cracks as he whispers softly continuing to cry into the crook of your neck. “You were…gone and I couldn't save you. I couldn't…” he is gasping for air as he sobs
“hey...hey shhh breathe…breathe I'm right here. I'm right here okay? I'm not gone. I am right here, you have me in your arms, see?” You squeeze him a bit tighter before cupping both his cheeks and lifting his head in your hands so he can look into your eyes
“You were gone y/n…you were g…gone…” he is clinging to you tighter it was a bit uncomfortable but you didn't say anything “You were dea-” he gasps and more tears fill his eyes as he looks into your face “You were dead! You…you were dead in my arms and I couldn't do anything to save you. You were in the mines and I failed you and you were gone. You were gone and you weren't ever coming back.”
You are running your thumbs over his cheekbones as you lean forward and softly kiss him.
“Harvey. I am right here. You need to take a breath and calm down, you are getting yourself all worked up. I am right here. I am right here. Take a breath honey…” you press another more chaste kiss to his lips before pulling him back into a tight hug.
“You're safe..?” He whispers quietly.
“I'm safe.”
“…You aren't going to leave…?”
“Harvey sweetheart. I'm right here and I'm never leaving you okay? Never. I'm staying here with you forever.”
“…P…promise…?” He sniffles quietly as his tears slowly stop.
“Harvey look at me. Hey look at me. I promise you. I promise I am not leaving. I know I'm a little…uh…reckless in the mines sometimes and I'm so sorry I didn't know it was upsetting you this much. I'll be more careful. I promise. Come back to sleep…” you softly rub his chest “I promise I'll be here in the morning too.” You kiss his cheek as he pulls you down onto his chest, holding you tight against his body, he sighs deeply as you snuggle up with him.
“I love you so much My Love…you mean the world to me.” Harvey sighs quietly as he squeezes you tighter. You kiss his cheek a few times softly rubbing your nose against his jaw.
“I love you Harvey. Always.” You softly trace invisible patterns over his chest as he slowly drifts off to sleep, you stay up a while after he falls asleep making sure he sleeps soundly. His arm draps loosely over you even as he sleeps he wants to feel you close to him.
“Goodnight Harvey...” You kiss him one last time, smiling softly and put your head down on his chest letting yourself finally fall back asleep.

Doctor's Visit | Implied Harvey [Stardew Valley x Reader]
Word Count: 847 Warnings: Mentions of fainting, no name used Pairing: Harvey x Disabled!Reader implied
A/N: Written in 2nd Person because I am cringe but I am free. This is not proof read at all.
Three, two, one. The way that you blacked out wasn’t too unexpected, it started happening a lot since you started to live in Pelican Town. It did come unexpectedly this time, well not really, but at this point you would like to pretend that you only passed out when you were up too late on the farm, or out in the mines, but you knew that wasn’t true.
Waking up on a hospital bed was something you had became familiar with, but not something that you had let yourself grow accustomed to. The hum was the first thing you let yourself tune into, having been out a lot longer than you were used to since they had time to move you.
“Harvey,” You called out, your eyes landing on the doctor, who was only a few feet away, reorganizing a few things.
“You’re awake,” He said, his voice cheery as he turned to look over at you, but his eyes held a deep bout of worry. You didn’t let yourself think too much into the look in his eyes as he walked to be by your side as you sat up. “Easy does it,” He said, moving his hand to give you a small bit of help to sit up.
“I’m alright,” You assured him, your voice gentle as you took his hand to help you sit up all the way, letting your feet dangle over the side of the exam table you woke up on. You didn’t say anything about how you having been asleep up there was dangerous, there were only so many resources that this small town clinic could have.
Harvey’s brow furrowed as he looked at you, his arms crossing for just a second. His mouth opened and shut a few times, like he was planning how to speak, what to say to you as you sat there, looking at him expectantly.
“You passed out in the town square,” He said after a moment. Like this was somehow going to convince you that you weren’t okay.
You couldn’t help the laugh that pushed past your lips, your head shaking gently. You knew he was telling the truth, you were there when it happened. The look of confusion that shot over Harvey’s face made you take a deep breath, clearing the laugh from your throat before speaking.
“I’m alright, I just,” You paused, thinking of how to say it. Your last job didn’t have the best health benefits, and then this one the only clinic was ran by the doctor before you. “I’m disabled.”
That was how you decided to say it, it made it a lot easier than to explain all of that.
“In your files-” Harvey started, but you promptly cut him off.
“I was unable to get a proper diagnosis before moving here,” You explained, trying not to let yourself get red in the face. You always had this small habit of second guessing yourself, why you couldn’t get a diagnosis, even when symptoms were right there.
Harvey stayed quiet, taking a moment to process before moving to pick up a clipboard, jotting a few notes on there, you watched him, confused by the man’s actions.
“What are you..” You asked, a small pause as you tried to move to see if you could read the clipboard. “Doing?” The final word came out of your lips as he set the clipboard back on the counter.
“Making a note,” He said, walking over to you, pressing the back of his hand to your head, just to make sure everything seemed fine without making it too professional feeling.
You just nodded, you didn’t seem too bothered by it, you were used to that, the notes, the comments, the “What if you’re making it up?,” all the “What if it’s just in your heads?” So in your mind, Harvey was doing the same thing.
“I can recommend you to an out of town doctor, to see if they can help you,” He said, his eyes locked on yours. “Also, I do believe you need to take it easy with the physical strain you’re putting on your body until its figured out.”
You let those words settle in, the care in his voice, the way that he was taking you seriously, you couldn’t help the large smile that came over your lips.
“I will, thank you, Harvey,” You said, you did move to hop off the examination bed. “This means a lot.”
To you this meant the world, the urge to hug the man was strong but you were fighting it off. It wouldn’t be too odd since how close knit the town was, how close you’d grown with him over the year.
“Of course, I care about you,” He said, his hand reaching to gently set on your shoulder, so you used this as a chance to push forwards to give him a hug.
You then stepped back, both of you a bit red in the face before you said your goodbyes and headed out, back to your farm, a grin on your face.

Sam and Sebastian SDV/ how they kiss
This is another stardew valley headcanon list, but this time I thought I might as well do some other Bachelors other than my sweet emo boy Sebby ♡ Includes: Nameless farmer, fluff, CONSENT, maybe the slightest sliver of 🤨 but mostly just sfw,
Sam
When Sam wants to kiss you, he isn't slick.
He likes to ask you, so that you don't feel pressured or if it's the wrong time, he doesn't want to make you upset.
He tries to kiss you every time you see eachother, since he just loves to kiss you
he'll kiss you on the lips, your cheek, your nose, your forehead, your hands, everywhere. It's his way to show you he loves you
His favorite spot to kiss you is probably your nose, your hands, and your lips.
He just loves your nose. He thinks it's cute.
he loves your waist. No matter if it's square, curvy, muscular, round, he loves every inch of it and loves to caress you there when kissing you.
Type of guy to hug you from behind and just sleeping on your shoulder 🥹
He doesn't really use tongue, as he's a bit more innocent with his kisses, but will if you want him to
Hes generally ready to do anything you ask him to, without a single thought. He just wants you to be happy, and he's fine with that.
Sebastian
Sweet and spicy 🩷🔥
It depends on how passionate he is in the moment
In early stages of your relationship, he'll ask you. But once you two get comfortable together, he'll just start to know if its a good time to kiss you
Sometimes when you're sitting on his lap, he'll just kiss your cheek casually before getting back to whatever he was doing
But he loves to experiment with you and figure out what works for the both of you
Thinking about different ways to kiss you, hold you, cuddle you
His favorite spot to kiss is probably your neck, your cheek, or your legs.
I said it and I will say it again, he LOVES your legs. He's just a legs type of guy.
Since he lives in the mountains, you get cold when visiting him in the winter. So he'll take that as an excuse to kiss you. "I know a way to warm you up." Then he'll kiss all over your face until your face is red. "It worked, didn't it?"
Although kisses don't usually get him flustered, if you kiss him unexpectedly on the cheek, he'll be shook for a second. Like blushing, stuttering, the whole shebang. But it only lasts for like 5 seconds before he composes himself.
He'll also get a little flustered if you kiss right behind his ear. I feel like he'd be quite sensitive there.

do you think vox would play videogames,, do you think you'd be able to play videogames on him,, and if you could, what would it be like for him?
OMG imagine you're playing some game on his screen, and you ask him if he can get closer because you can't see the game properly, he complains but gets closer anyway, you say he's still too far, he gets pissy and insults your eyesight because he's already close enough, so you take the matter into your own hands and pull him into your lap‼️ then the game crashes because he gets flustered
sorry for the ramble but i've been thinking abt this for SO long 😭
- 💫
Vox x reader: 'Frontseat gaming' oneshot
A/N Reader is playing Stardew Valley bc I say so (it is peak)
Vox would 100% be the type of gamer to just go "You're bad" at every step and bully you when you fail, and I will not hear anything less
Cw: SFW, gn!reader, just vox getting seriously flustered (we love to see it), romantic/crush reader
Here's me also just kinda discussing more onto this topic but not in drabble form.
Tumblr media
- Your little character entered the mines, you frantically switching between squares as you fought monsters flying at you from every direction.
- ...Then you promptly died because you couldn't see properly.
- You inhaled deeply in irritation as you watched 3000 gold empty from your wallet, pressing a hand to your forehead before looking somewhat in annoyance at the demon in front of you.
- "Could you move closer, please? I can't see properly when you're that far away, man." You complained.
- Vox had snickered when you died, then did so again as you asked that.
- "I'm literally a metre away from you, and you 'can't see properly'? Just admit you're.. how do you say it?" Vox pretends to think as his mouth and eyes and brows appear overlayed over your house. He snaps his fingers, then raises his brows with a smug look down at you. "Fucking coping at this point."
- It was very rare of an opportunity for Vox to allow someone to play anything on his screen. He thought it would be a somewhat entertaining opportunity, however (him getting to have you stare at him in concentration for a prolonged period of time and having the excuse to stare right back at you)
- The plug-in process for your keyboard and mouse was a little awkward, to say the least, but it went off without a hitch apart from that.
- You grumble out curses at him and shuffle closer to him when it's clear he's not moving his ass to be a bitch about it, about 2 feet in between you now.
- Vox's face disappears again with one last condescending 'mhmmm' and leaves you to continue.
- It's better, and you can see more, but you once again are met with a death screen with even more of a loss then last time.
- "Goddammit!" You yell, smacking your keyboard not hard enough to damage it but hard enough for the buttons to mash loudly under your fist. Vox laughs loudly, shoulders shaking as he tries to contain himself.
- "You're so fucking bad, how are you this bad at the cute little farming game, (name)?" He teases you, sharp smile coming into sight over the death screen.
- "Shut the hell up, Vox! I still can't see jackshit. Come closer!" You demand, which in turn has Vox's laughing mouth fall into a frown, eyes coming back into sight with a clearly irritated expression.
- "It's not my fucking fault your eyes are that shit. Don't you fucking talk to me like tha-"
- His scolding and eye getting ready for hypnosis is interrupted as you angrily grumble, leaning forward to grip his hips and pull him closer.
- Vox's face starts to heat up, him stuttering out in disbelief as a sound similar to fans turning on to cool a computer slowly cracks to life as Vox suddenly finds himself pulled into your lap, either one of his legs resting splayed out behind your back.
- "There. Now I can see just fine." You sigh out with relief, concentration now on your face as your hands gently wrap around either side of his monitor to pull it down to face towards you.
- You notice his surprised expression glitching out finally and feel the way his screen has heated up massively under your hands.
- ...Then watch as there's promptly an error message with a loud 'dun!' sound.
- "Oh shi-!" You snort, poking his screen a couple of times. "Earth to Boxhead~" you sing out, and then you're met with a very flustered Vox once again coming back to his senses.
- "Fucking stop that!" He swats your hand poking him continuously away lightly, prompting you to once again laugh.
- It's silent for a couple of seconds outside of you laughing at his sour expression, face now just normal outside of the bright blue blush across his cheeks resembling a heart monitor beating with what was undeniably his own heart's current slowing frantic rate.
- After calming down a bit, Vox hesitantly does something that surprises even himself.
- He wraps his legs around your waist to bring himself closer to you.
- It was your turn to blush now as his face was just barely inches from yours, your gamer rage wearing off into embarrassment at realising the position you had pulled him into.
- "There," Vox's voice is lower than usual, more unsure than you've ever heard him you think. "Can you see me clearly now?"
- You somewhat get the feeling that he's not exactly talking about your game being displayed on his screen with the way his red eyes look down at you, blue pupils rather large under half lidded eyes.
- You gulp, then force a laugh. "Y-yeah. This is good, thanks." You shakily pick up your mouse again and begin pressing at the keyboard now next to you two.
- Your mind isn't exactly on the game as his eyes and mouth once again flicker off the display to show just your game, and you once again die.
- "See? You're just bad."
- "Shut up!"

Oh my god I woke up this morning and my Stardew Valley meta post had almost 150 notes????? Hello?????????? Anyways I started writing this last night because @moon-is-pretty-tonight left nice tags on the original so thank you so much!!
We know from the starting scenes of the game that the farmer's grandfather loved Stardew Valley. So why did he leave? Pelican Town is a good place to grow old; George and Evelyn are just fine. It's a fine place to raise a kid, but maybe he just wanted to raise his child closer to real schools and other children.
Or maybe, just maybe, he understood.
Was there a day when he was in his thirties where he looked at his friends and realized they weren't like him? That he could run faster than them, work longer, explore deeper into the hidden places of the valley?
Was there a day when he went to the wizard to ask him for help, for knowledge if nothing else? Did he learn then that his family was different? Special? Chosen? And how did he react? He couldn't possibly raise a child in the valley if they would be as strange and fey as him. He had to leave. There was no other way.
But years later, on his deathbed, did he regret that choice?
Is that why he gave the farmer the letter?
Is that why they went back home?
When the farmer steps off the bus that first day, the valley is still on the cusp of winter, just barely tipping over into spring. The flowers are starting to bloom, but a chill still hangs in the air. As soon as the farmer's boots touch the soil there's a change. The air gets warmer. The trees get greener. Not by too much, not all at once, but it changes.
The junimos watch the farmer as they do their work. They're new to farming, but take to it with frightening speed; their first batch of crops is perfect. None of the townsfolk tell them that parsnips don't normally grow in less than a week, that cauliflowers don't grow to be ten feet tall, that fairies don't visit when the sun goes down and grow potatoes and beans and tulips overnight. The junimos talk amongst themselves in their strange, wild language, and agree: this is the one. They're back. The valley recognizes its own, even when they've left for a generation. The farmers have come home.
Things change fast in the valley. The community center, empty and decrepit for so many years, is rejuvenated. (Lewis says it was abandoned only a few weeks after the farmer's grandfather left. Strange coincidence, he says, that it both came and went with the farmer's family.) The mines and the quarry, similarly abandoned, are explored for the first time in ages. The town becomes cleaner, brighter, more vibrant, happier.
And it is happier. Not just the environment, but the people. It's the talk of the town for weeks when Haley does her first closet purge. Leah's art show in the town square is a huge success. Shane's smiling for the first time since he moved to the valley. All of them, when asked, say it's all thanks to the farmer.
People love to ask why Lewis didn't fix the community center on his own. Why Willy never repaired the boat to ginger island. Why Abigail or Marlon never went down to fix the elevator in the mines, or why Clint didn't fix the minecarts.
But isn't it so much more interesting to ask how those things were there in the first place? How they got so broken down? If the stories the townspeople tell are true, the valley was once a beautiful place, flourishing and full of life; why did that change? When did it change?
Was it when the farmer's grandfather, the locus of the valley, its chosen representative, left town?
And if so, what happens when the farmer comes back?

Stardew valley is not "cozy" or relaxing... I've managed to save up 15k and all thats going to get me is a second tool upgrade and the final backpack and then I'm back to square one... little to no wood/stone so no barn yet but if I grind for materials I'm still out for the cow and then I'll need the cheese maker. And I still need another keg and also to plant trees in a designated area for the tappers and then

Hayloft.
Yan Mahito x GN Reader.
Synopsis: Mahito wants to farm.
Warnings: Yandere themes, kidnapping, Mahito as his own warning, implied minor character death, and implications of violence/forced cannibalism.
Word Count: 800.
*~*~*~*
“Sounds fun! Looks so too!”
Mahito’s fingers tap and tap on the glass, unsurprisingly never leaving any fingerprints or smudges. He is a curse, after all. It makes sense. Not that you have to be reminded of such, with how little he knows of human culture, the world at large, or with how much he shapeshifts into a disembodied head at night to scare half-awake you.
You are both sitting on a giant bean bag in the shape of a green slime of all things that Mahito brought in an hour or so earlier. Mahito, as expected, takes up most of it with a malformed arm wrapped around your shoulders and back.
In your hands is a Nintendo Switch, the sticker case on the joycons, and the screen itself somewhat peeling off, but still the pink bunny and strawberry drawing designs stay intact.
The YouTube app is on, showing a playthrough of Stardew Valley. This part of the sewers had two bars of wifi from the little ramen place above it, something you are grateful for in some aspect. Because of it, you have one more piece of entertainment that is now Mahito bringing you back stale snacks and stuffed animals (that you pray to whatever higher power that they were not alive before Mahito got his hands on them) and nearly smothering you with hugs.
This is calming. When you just read the dialogue of the characters and listen to the music and pay attention to the satisfying sight of the farmer planting pumpkin seeds and apple tree saplings, it is calming, you are calm, Mahito is, at least partially, calm.
Mahito wanted something to watch today and brought the Nintendo Switch for you to play with as he simply observes. It could be worse, you reminded yourself before you attempted to protest, stopping yourself. It could be much worse. He could turn you into the Nintendo Switch, or much, much worse.
It can be so much worse. He can be so much worse. Your life as a captive can be so much worse. Everything can be so much worse. That is a line you never want to cross because everything can be so, so much worse than it already is.
Mahito raises his free hand, and you pause the video, just as you were taught to. He then points again at the field of two-dimensional, square-like crops all in multiple rows of hoed soil.
It’s springtime in the game, you think, from how the cherry trees have pink blossoms and petals falling onto nearby ground all around it.
Mahito counts with his fingertip, jumping from one plant to the next and then from one row to the next.
He whistles, and it makes you flinch because that is the same noise he makes whenever you scream, a reaction to when he brings a body part of someone you loved here, throwing it down beside the small dog bed you were given for good behavior, the blood staining the fabric as it falls with a grotesque, sort of plopping sound.
If Mahito wants to grow vegetables and fruit in the few places this sewer has sunlight, he can be your guest.
“Potato, cauliflower, garlic… green beans, kale, parsnips, rhubarb, strawberries…” He says each word like he has never heard of them before. Considering he has never really set foot in a grocery or convenience store for anything other than chips, it is not all that surprising. With another wave of his hand, you rewind it to the moment where the farmer character starts watering the seeds when they are freshly planted. He waits. So do you. “Sounds good! We can make some cheese cauliflower, parsnip soup, pizza, hashbrowns… just imagine it! Yum… I can just picture it now.”
With yet another wave of his hand, you stand up and so does he. Relief goes through you, like a ghost, both horrifying you and making you feel the smallest bit of hope that for once Mahito can act normal.
“M-Mahito, vegetables don’t grow that fast.” You say, looking down at the plate of baked fish with what smells like kale and garlic underneath, along with lemon and salt. “H-How-”
“It’s simply the power of love!” Mahito exclaims, inhaling loudly to smell the dish in front of you two. He sighs softly. “A pure demonstration of my love, all I do for you, and all I will do for you in the future.”
You could have sworn that there was the smallest voice from the fish if Mahito’s bragging of how much work went into making you a dish from Stardew Valley was not so loud.
Help me.
“Dig in, cutie!”
You would do anything for Mahito’s grin to not turn into a frown, so you pick up your fork with trembling, scarred hands.

Things I hate about my fandoms
(I will probably make posts about each of them later going more in depth)
⚠️These DO NOT apply to ALL members of these fandoms⚠️
Cartoons:
Miraculous: mischaracterisation of Kagami as a bad person who just want to ruin the love square. But at the same time they love luka because he's just a sweet little baby boy 🥺👉👈
The owl house: Hunter and Ed interacted once and people started shipping them while they complain about Hunter and Willow for having a 1 year age gap. Also people acting like everyone is siblings
Amphibia: they care about the main trio too much to care about any other character at all
Gravity falls: where do i even start
Steven universe: The Su!c!de incident (dont worry she survived)
The ghost and molly mcgee: they hate Ollie for no reason even after his redemption arc for getting in the way of Molly x Libby or Andrea. They say he and molly look like siblings but their eye colors, skin colors and hair colors are different. (Tbh they cant take it when both characters in a pairing are Asian).
Dwampyverse: Too many NSFW art of children
Ducktales: I like them. Nothing bad about them other than they just ignore canon sometimes but hey, so do I.
Hilda: same as the Dwampyverse
Tangled: pretty chill but please dont ship Varian who's 16 with Cass who's 25.
Infinity train: Saying Lake, Ryan and Min aren't queer coded. Like are you blind? Its fine if you don't ship Rymin or use She/her for Lake but remember cartoon network Stopped the creator from putting those in.
Lego monkie kid: pretty ok fandom. Nothing bad to say about them.
She ra: im pretty late to this fandom so I haven't seen anything bad but as a DT megafan the fandom doesn't give them enough attention to them lol
Dead end: too small
Kipo: WAY too small
Live action movies:
Heathers: (see Musicals)
Dead poets society: ITS DYING WE NEED MORE FANWORKS
Games:
Undertale: the needle cookie incident (they're ok now don't worry. Dont take food from strangers kids)
Stardew Valley: Toxic arguing over the Bachelors and Bachelorettes. Acting like Haley and Alex are some irredeemable monsters. like, have you tried befriending them?
Musicals:
Heathers: Acting like Heather McNamara is some sweet little angel. Like no. She is sad and deserves better but that doesn't mean shes nice. (In other words: she is damaged, far to damaged, but that does not make her wise)
Hamilton: the HIV incident (just search Hamilton HIV to know the context). Also harassing anyone who isn't the OG cast.
Ride the cyclone: Acting like the characters are so pure and innocent. Like, im against NSFW of the kids too, but the whole point of Ricky is that hes not so sweet and innocent as a disabled person. Or the whole point of Noel is that he wants to be "fucked up". The tiktok fandom is also super biased to the original cast (meanwhile tumblr loves it)
Six: Saying Jane isn't a powerful woman because she wants to get married and have kids

Summary: The holiday times symbolize the end of the year and the start to your relationship with the town's doctor.
Warnings: mentions of drinking, hinted upon intimacy.
A/N: I can't believe that this chapter of the reader's and Harvey's life together is finally written out and completed! makes me wonder what happens next in many ways...

The Feast of the Winter Star, you and Harvey enjoy cups of your mulled wine as you both chat with Mayor Lewis who looks at you with a certain light and ever-knowing glint in his eyes. You narrow yours in reaction, irked by his I knew it, always attitude while Harvey stands by your side none-the-wiser, taking a sip of his wine and looking around the town square.
He sees Maru first, surprisingly sitting beside Sam, both looking actively engaged in conversation in contrast to Hailey and Alex who look to be on the fence of a public argument. Alex’s hair was standing up on his head more prominently as he straightened his posture and Hailey’s blush became a bit too apparent- her eyes narrowing at something the jock had to say. Quickly looking in the next direction, Gus and Leah look to be discussing dishes while making grand gestures with their hands and happy expressions.
It was a picture perfect scene, the large tree looming over them all, glittering tall and proud as a thousands boxes of differing patterns and shapes covered the ground as did snow. Harvey looked down at you, still chatting away with Mayor Lewis and Marnie and smiled, moving a piece of hair behind your ears and fixing your scarf. You slowly stopped mid sentence, becoming distracted by these small gestures as you became engulfed in your own little world with one another, Lewis and Marnie returning to their own table at the front.
Snow started to fall lightly around you both as Harvey began to cup your cheeks, you could see over Harveys shoulder that Elliot was leaning against the convenience store while talking to Willy. He looks over at you and smiles lightly in a bittersweet fashion, nodding his head in approval your way and turns back to face Willy a moment later as Harvey kisses you gently on the lips. In the process you dreamed to hold a snowglobe of this moment with the man you found love within.
--
Gift swapping comes in full force an hour later, Harvey ends up giving you tickets to a band you have been dying to see in the city. You kissed his cheek and exploded into major thanks, not remembering when you or possibly who told him even as Elliot looks over and smiles at the exchange without you noticing and Harvey mouths a thank you, his way as you eye at the tickets in your hand in disbelief. You end up giving Harvey a green, transportable mug and offer to take him sticker shopping for it soon. Harvey smiles at this brightly and says that he would make great use out of it as he already poured his glass of mulled wine into it; you snorting in the process and him shoving you slightly into the nearby snowbank.
Hair filled with flakes you playfully glared at him as he offered his hand for you to stand back up, yet you ended up pulling him down alongside you as your frames shaped snow angles in the bank. Never had Harvey felt this youthful and unafraid looking at you madly giggle beside him.
--
By the time the communal dinner service is over, Harvey invites you back to his apartment for another surprise. Entering through the door first you see the crown molding is covered by multi-colored holiday lights that flicker lightly, a table is sat in the middle of the room, dressed with a singular candle and two plates of steaming food. You wonder when he had the time to prepare this occasion, or who he paid to, but he shushes you gently with another kiss before you can say anything but compliments to the chef/planner.
A holiday track plays slightly in the background as your hands hold one another's and soon there is no longer a table that separates the two of you. The bells chime as the spirits that sing rhyme and you both fall deeper into one another for the night and into the early morning air that dances itself through the drapes and onto the bed where you both snuggle closer into each other's warmth under the duvet cover.
--
New Years Eve makes its way into the calendar and represents your current time. You and Harvey had decided to rent a car in order to drive down the coastal roads to witness the celebratory fireworks together. Blankets packed, beers stored in the cooler in the back. You both wore layered clothing and sang karaoke to the radio all throughout your way there.
You checked into your hotel room for the day and prepared for the night. Having food ordered up to your room, you both made your way over to the balcony that faced the water. Blankets laid across the outdoor sofa as you both cuddled against one another, your head falling against Harvey’s chest as he rubbed circles into the upper side of your arm. Taking the time to kiss the top of your head as you both whispered your countdown and the sky erupted into a thousand blossoming stars exploding passionately- you kissed.
Happy New Year, Darling was softly stated over the roaring thunderclaps of the fireworks and the clapping hands of hundreds as you both sat and observed the world before you both.

the origins of farmhand/farmer Sevika
@pinknightsinmymind this is my take on how it all starts!
thinking of farmhand! sevika. comes back to her small town in the valley, sick and tired of the constant hum of the city. has no idea where she'll live, since her family has since moved away.
she's walking through the town square the day she comes back, heading for the inn, when she sees this lil pink note on the notice board. (before u ask yes this is basically a stardew valley au leave me alone)
"Farm-Hand Wanted" it reads, with a few extra details about a farm that Sevika knows to be owned by a sweet, if a bit weird, old man. The note says something about accommodation provided, so she decides to take it. She assumes it'll be the old man, probably needing help taking care of the farm in his old age.
so can you imagine her surprise when she knocks on the door of the mildly dilapidated farmhouse, only for it to open and show you: a sweet lil thing, dressed in dirty overalls and pink flannel shirt, covered in scrapes. a pretty girl with some meat on her bones, who seems to be around her age.
"Uh, I'm here about the farmhand posting?"
"Oh! Yes, perfect, hi!" You introduce yourself, explaining that you inherited the farm from your grandfather but you honestly don't know much about how to tend a whole farm, so you need the help to get it back up and running.
Sevika is ... apprehensive, at first. You're sweet, but clearly not used to this life, and she doesn't know how you'll handle it. Lucky for you, she's got about 18 years of experience working on a farm before she up and moved to the city, so she decides why the fuck not?
She starts as your farmhand! You surprise her when you show her all the planting you've already done, wanting to get crops in before you got too late into the season. It's spring and she sees you have little plots of parsnips, rhubarb, potatoes, garlic, strawberries and tulips all going.
She's about to ask what you need her for until she sees the rest of the farm, completely overgrown and in need of some serious TLC. The full condition of the house is somehow worse, with the plumbing to the kitchen almost completely worn down and some holes in the walls that need to be repaired.
"Yeah it's... he couldn't really do much by the end, in the way of taking care of the house. He either ate at the saloon, or someone would bring him food. I'm doing the same, at least until I can get the plumbing up and running and the fridge fixed."
Sevika see's your pitiful bed, really just a mattress held up by a few pallets and an unreasonable amount of blankets, and that's what really convinces her. As much as she hates to admit, there's something about you that makes her sympathetic.
"Yeah, I'll help you out. Looks like you need it."
"Really!! Oh you're the best, thank you so much - uhh-" "Sevika." "Thank you so much Sevika!"
The way you say her name, the way your eyes sparkle in the low light of the kitchen, it all makes Sevika a little bit fuzzy. She's known you for less than a day, but there's something there. Fuck if she knows what.
When she asks if she'll be staying in the farmhouse with you, you giggle and wave her off. "Absolutely not, would never make anyone else live in here, especially when we just met. Let me show you your cabin."
She's half convinced her place will be just as bad, but when you lead her to the humble cabin, it's surprisingly cozy? All the walls seem to be repaired, there's an actual bed and table, an attached bathroom and a lil kitchenette. It's all dark wood and cozy linen, everything immaculately clean. It's so nice, Sevika is half convinced you've been living in here instead of the house, she asks you as much.
"No, no, I've been up in the farmhouse. I just wanted to get this place all situated in case someone took me up on the farmhand offer."
Sevika thinks that's both sweet and stupid, because you've clearly been struggling and yet here's this nice lil cabin you fixed up on the off chance that someone would come help?
You let her settle in, which is really just unpacking her one big suitcase, a duffle bag and a backpack of the shit she took with her from her apartment, consisting of clothes, shoes, books, personal use items, etc. etc.
That first night, you two don't talk much. You eat at the saloon together and head back to the farm in silence, because honestly how are you supposed to navigate this situation? You put up the notice in a half-assed attempt to not have to do all of this alone, and now that someone answered, it's this gorgeous, muscular woman who looks ... mean? she looks mean, but you're sure she isn't. or at least you hope she isn't.
and sevika, meanwhile, is still so fucking confused as to how she got here. 24 hours ago she was packing up her life in the city, racing to get out of her shitty little apartment. now she's got this lil cabin on a farm in her hometown, about to be working under an absolute sweetheart of woman, and fucking terrified.
she goes to sleep that night hoping, half-praying to god she never even believed in (or really just whoever is listening), that this would turn out well. she had no clue just how well it would turn out.
this is shorter than I wanted it to be but this is the most I can come up with, just to set up how Sevika comes to be a farmhand for you <3 farm au vika has my whole heart and I love her to bits <3

A/N: This is really old... have fun with this I guess lol Here's my masterlist! Dividers by @cafekitsune
Warning(s): Female reader, reader is a lumberjack, 3rd to 2nd reader, slight misogyny if you squint (not from Alex), kisses on the cheek
Pairing(s): Alex x Reader
Tumblr media
It was the day of the Stardew Valley Fair. Alex cracks his joints, groaning as he sits up from his cocoon of warm sheets and blankets. It was common knowledge that he was presumably the strongest in his town, as he held the highest score for the Smashing Stone at the fair. And he was determined to keep it that way.
Getting out of bed, he shuffles to his closet, to put his shirt on and change into his favorite pair of jeans.
Once he was ready, he looks at himself in the mirror, grimacing at his tousled hair. He didn’t particularly like it, it was a major distraction when it came to working out, sweat causing it to stick to his forehead and cover his vision whenever he did push ups, pull ups, etc. But it made him popular with the other bachelorettes around town. (Haley wouldn’t leave him alone whenever he worked shifts at the ice-cream stand. He didn’t mind though). Hopefully he could be married soon and leave his home. Sure he loved his grandparents, but he needed to feel independent!
Sighing, he ruffles his mane of brown hair, styling it until it looked presentable enough to go out, but good enough that it wouldn’t bother him. For now.
It was on 7:30; the fair started at 9:00, so he walked out of his room and see what was for breakfast. Evelyn, his grandmother, bless her, made him a hearty breakfast, complete with Pancakes, hash-browns, and fried eggs. Alex could almost taste it. He hugged Evelyn happily, before sitting down and indulging in the food. He practically inhaled the meal, but tried his best to savor it. No matter how good the food was, he was to stay on diet.
After a few minutes of painfully slow chewing, he finished his meal. He grins, noticing the time was 8:10. Perfect.
He trudged outside, as he watches the booths and grange display boxes being set up. Walking over to the dog house, he greets Dusty, rubbing the canine’s fur behind his ear and smiles.
“I’m going to be the best, you hear me? I’m going to demolish that strength booth.” Alex says cockily.
Dusty barks in affirmation, wagging his tail. In all honesty, he just wanted food.
They sat there, under the tree, lightly playing fetch with Alex’s grid-ball, before be noticed the time. 8:50 already? Time sure felt a lot faster in the valley. But he didn’t mind.
The clock struck 9, and he raced to town square, leaving poor Dusty behind. Rushing past the grange display, he reaches the Smashing Stone, greeting the burly man that watched over it.
Hefting the mallet that he handed him, he heaved it, testing out the balance before swinging it, the hammer hitting the metal with a resounding riiiingg.
He smirked, content with the score that flashed in front of his eyes. Beat that.
After the strength booth, he decided to look around, seeing the grange displays being set up. Marnie’s was especially mouthwatering.
After that, he went to go find Haley. She was over by the booth where you buy star tokens, and she smiled upon greeting.
“Hey! Are you excited for another year of being the top?” She grinned.
Alex smirked confidently. “Of course. I’m the strongest person in the village.” He rolls his eyes.
Haley coughs, making a sound that suspiciously sounded like arrogant.
Alex was about to question her when a sound rang out throughout the town square.
“WINNER!!” The sound came from the Smashing Stone. Alex’s blood ran cold. There, at the booth was the last person he expected, and the only person to defeat his score.
A local lumberjack stood there, triumphant, her smile stretching from ear to ear. That lumberjack was you. Alex surveyed you from afar. He had heard about you, you were a local farmer in the village, but you made your profit by selling sums of wood, hardwood, tree sap, acorns, pinecones etc. Watching your proud expression, he felt an unusually emotion from his core. He didn’t feel jealous, surprisingly. Just…intrigued. Alex itched, wanting to talk to you, and find out more, but he glanced at his grandfather, George in his peripherals. George…was, old-fashioned, to say in the least. He frowned upon any modern ideals, which included women indulging in what he believed to be masculinity, including the lumber industry. Alex wasn’t against it, in fact, he was fascinated by your sheer strength, noticing the defined muscles in your biceps.
Haley coughed obnoxiously, breaking Alex out of his reverie and rolling her eyes. “If you want to talk to her so badly, just walk over to her cottage later after the festival.”
Alex nodded, a little embarrassed that he was caught, but glad that he had someone like Haley to help him think straight. You walked away from the Smashing Stone after a while, after having a lighthearted conversation with the bodybuilder there, and you left to examine the grange displays.
Mayor Lewis announced Pierre won, as he did every year, and after a few hours of more games and prizes, the fair came to a close.
Alex didn’t realized how quickly time had passed, his watch reading 10:00pm. The lamp posts were his only form of light as he made his way across town, quietly passing 1 Willow Lane before entering the Cindersap Forest.
He knew it was a bit of a stretch to go to such lengths to talk to someone he’s never met, but it was in only chance, given how watchful his grandfather way. Silently, he crept through the all the trees, seeing how there wasn’t many. You must’ve been doing a good job, because the ground was littered with saplings. The sound of metal hitting bark echoed throughout the night, signaling that you were here.
Wiping a bead of sweat, you sighed, exhausted. It was late, but you only needed this last tree to fulfill your quota for the day, ensuring you got your daily profit. Setting your iron axe down, you rest your hand onto the tree bark, leaning your back against it for some time, feeling a little tension leave your sore muscles.
Suddenly, a twig snaps somewhere around you, pulling you out of your reverie to see Alex of all people entering your vision.
“Wha…Alex? What are you doing here?” You asked, bewildered. He was the last person you expected to be here. Yet, it excited you. You had admired him for his strength, as well as his personality. His ambition, confidence, and occasional sweetness made you more fascinated with the man.
The man in question looked embarrassed before looking at you. “I uh, wanted to talk to you. I saw you at the fair. You beat my score.”
You couldn’t tell if he was upset or fascinated. His voice was monotone and his face was still mostly shrouded by shadows.
“Uh yeah, I guess I did.”  You say, unsure of what to do.
It was painfully silent between the two of you before he spoke up, stepping towards you. “Look-“
“Watch out!” You yelps, before a stray stone sends him tumbling in your direction.
He tripped, as he lost his footing, and he fumbled to brace himself against the tree, ultimately pinning you down, sandwiching you between the bark and him.
You’re pretty sure you felt your face turn every shade of red there was. Alex looked just as flustered. You were about to apologize when you noticed something in his eyes. A connection of sorts. Sure, you only really acknowledged each other around town, but you both knew that you both shared something, deep down.
You felt Alex’s breath warm your next, noticing the definition of muscles that showed through his shirt. Then you realized you were staring for too long.
Staring back up into his eyes, some magnetic force instinctively told you to lean in, and you did. Alex reciprocated, his lidded eyes never leaving you.
Then as you were only inches apart, your noses lightly grazing each other, a creak from a door make you two scramble away from each other. There, in her robe, was Marnie, with what seemed to be…hot peppers? You quirked an eyebrow. Lewis loves those. Marnie’s face was bright red, and her eyes were wide as she noticed both of you mere fractions apart.
Everything was silent, all you could hear was crickets and the occasional rustle of leaves.
Marnie was the first to speak up, hiding the peppers behind her. “No one should ever hear about this.”
The two of you nod, and she takes her leave, going to where you both assumed was Lewis’s house.
It was quiet again. And then you turned to Alex, seeing as the moment was ruined. But maybe not all was lost. Taking a deep breath,  you stood on your toes, and pecked his cheek.
“Goodnight Alex. I’ll see you tomorrow.” Giving a small smile and a wave, you heft your axe, and your wood, before leaving to turn back home.
This was definitely a night you wouldn’t forget.
