Can you recommend some other Norwegian-speaking blogs please? I’m just starting out and the book I’m reading says it’s a good idea to surround yourself with your target language physically or digitally, and physically isn’t an option for me right now lol. Takk!!

Hi there! I don’t actually know many native speakers who post in Norwegian here on tumblr, but I follow a few other blogs who are learning Norwegian, some of which regularly post in Norwegian (off the top of my head - if I missed you out give us a wave!):

I also recommend tuning in to Norwegian radio - you won’t be able to understand anything for a while, but having the radio as background noise will really help you get used to the rhythm and melody of the language (P2 is my favourite channel because there’s less awful English music, more folks talking Norwegian). You can also follow NRK on instagram which will expose you to short, subtitled news clips daily. On facebook I also follow BestOfNorge which is basically common memes translated into Norwegian so they’re usually easy to understand.

Norwegian music is another really good way to surround yourself with the language - here’s a post of my own personal favourites and here’s a playlist of Disney songs. If you go on spotify and type in ���norsk [genre of your choice]” you should get plenty of playlists come up. If you find someone you like, try to find them on instagram/facebook and give them a follow for even more Norwegian!

My default answer is summer because I love when it’s warm und sunny outside, but I love winter just as much - at least when there’s actual snow and not that sorry excuse for winter we had in Germany the last years. Same with spring and autumn, they’re just sooo beautiful, how am I supposed to decide??

FAVORITE FLOWER: actually, I don’t know that many flowers and was never really interested in their names either. so I guess you could just say that I like every flower that looks pretty

I studied German, Spanish and English in a pre-uni program. Now I am in university studying International Studies, with a Global Governance concentration. 

I'm planning on minoring in both politics and classics.

Why I made this blog/studyblr?

I’ve been following a lot of studyblrs and it helps me sometimes to get motivation.
