Sara's Sunset Session | Tsawwassen Photographer

One of funnest sunset sessions of the entire summer! Everyone (except me) ended up in the water!

It really shouldn’t have surprised me that this entire family ended up in the ocean at the end of their session – after all, 3 of the 4 of them did last year as well! But that’s what I love about them. Their sessions made be slightly chaotic (and wet!), but there’s never any lack of joy or enthusiasm or laughter, from either the kids OR the parents! They are always 100% IN for whatever goes down…

Studying poultry farming and although it's not easy, definitely it is interesting. There are many aspects of this field that surely can be improved though (especially the animal welfare part).

Thinking about the Taylor Swift part of the Twitter Takeover when Tails goes, "Shadow loves Tay-Tay!" and I've come to the following conclusions:

— Tails doesn't listen to Taylor Swift himself because his music tastes align much more with Sonic's, a.k.a. punk rock. — HOWEVER, Tails and Amy are very good friends, so when Amy comes by the workshop when he's working, Tails will let her switch his music to her music while she hangs out with him. As such, he ends up sometimes listening to Taylor Swift anyway because Amy puts it on, and he's good-natured enough that he's fine with it. (Because I mean, she doesn't mind that he keeps working while she's there, so why should he mind that she puts on music that she loves / makes her happy? He doesn't.) — Additionally, Tails lets Amy tell him all about Taylor Swift and her music career, social media things, etc etc. This is how he picked up the nickname "Tay-Tay," because Amy uses it to refer to Taylor Swift sometimes. (And in return, Amy lets Tails tell her all about what's going on in the current arc of the Transformers comics.) — Finally, Shadow didn't know that his Spotify was public, and Tails was curious and went looking, and that's how Tails knew that Shadow was a Swiftie before anyone else knew. (And Tails gleefully exposed that fact to the entire takeover because he is 8 and raised by Sonic, so of course he wouldn't miss the opportunity.)

There's something very romantic about the outdoors...

#thinking abt how theres this specifc place near my house where i always go to take pics of the sky #and i probably have at leats one photo 'session' from every week(well every wk i was at home this yr lol)#and its always like a painting to me #it doesnt matter how many times i go there #every single time im astounded by it #and its nothing special but the sky is so vast and magnificent #and the colors are always great #even if its not near sunset or sunrise its still beautiful #and during the summer im nocturnal so i always run down there at the crack of dawn to take pics 😭#but now i take a lot of the sunset or pre-sunset ig #qnd even just mid day is pretty...#and right now theres geese migrating all the time but especially at this time of day #so going and standing there at staring at the sky and hearing the geese and going numb from the cold #its just...romantic to me ig #maybe i will edit smth w all my pics at the end of the yr FOR ME #but i took some vids of the geese flying across the blue and pink sky and it was all very picturesque #blah blah blah i am very sentimental and if i could take pics of eveyrthing i would 🥺#mayhe one day ill buy an actual camera lol #catie.rambling.txt

I love it when families return for their sunset sessions, year after year!

I sometimes wonder if the families that I’ve seen year after year at sunset sessions will continue to be able to convince their kids to do family photos when they hit their teenage years….I’ve seen less teenagers at my sunset sessions this year, and I miss them! But I also can’t complain about the school-age kids, who have been at almost every family session this summer. Engaging, funny, great…
