shintaro's messy relationships post str is my favorite stress toy btw. relationship with ayano crumbles. starts WHATEVER THAT IS with kano. in the self hatred confusion and internalized homophobia and etc the situation causes him (situation being gf dumped me bc im selfish so i hate myself / i kissed a boy a couple times so i hate myself) he desperately turns to the next closest Female(?) Counterpart with the following thought process "Pfff well i am so straight and SO capable of holding a normal relationship and i can PROVE IT there is one person who is 1. girl enough 2. apparently okay with me being a selfish asshole and consuming all their energy with my bullshit". so the solution is obvious to shintaro. just date takane.

turns out hitting on your best friend who also happens to be ur other best friend's gf is not good for either one of these relationships. so his friendship with not only takane but also haruka crumbles too in response and its so awkward. takane bc 1. i dont feel this way abt you and I'd treat the situation sensibly if i didnt know you well enough to know you dont actually like me that way and ur just taking me for granted like youve been doing all this time which WAS pissing me off and on its way to eventually explode but THIS....??? and haruka 2. White’s Houses, 7-12

Hello, everyone! Thank you so much to all of those who have followed this series; I’m glad people liked it. I hope it was informative and fun, and again, if anyone ever wants to use that information for any purposes like fanart or fics, let me know because that would be super cool to see! I want to finish White’s deep dive before I properly start Yellow’s chart (although I’ve already made some notes), so expect Yellow’s next but not for another couple of weeks at least because I want to properly dust off everything to do with White.

All of you are more than free to use the posts as discussions- in the comments or in the reblogs. You’re also more than free to message me about anything; if you did want to add anything or note anything, you can do that! Don’t feel you can’t. This info is in the public domain so do what you want with it 😂 Thank you again 😊

Seventh House: Capricorn

From here onwards, we focus on White’s outer world, rather than her inner self and inner environment. Here, we look at how she connects to this world and to others, particularly partnerships (not necessarily romantic, but partnerships of any kind), contracts, and cooperation. As it’s in Capricorn, she’s someone who is serious and dedicated when it comes to her relationships, and she would prefer, at all times, if her relationships were well-defined and sturdy, even as she may come across as cold or distant sometimes. This is because she’s cautious with her heart. Although this is great for a long-term view and especially in business, it can take the sweetness and spontaneity out of love. This means, in relationships, she may be delayed in making connections, although this is something she craves deeply. Considering her other placements, the lack of spontaneity may be overruled quite a bit. I think her Venus, Moon, and Fifth House points to the fact she likes creative, intellectual, and intense love, but I think we can see this as an extra addition that she’s someone who, perhaps, is looking for a long-term partner rather than casual relationships, and she wants a partner who is consistent, steady, and practical. Yet, these are all attributes we can subscribe to her relationships in general, not just romantic love. In business, with family, friends, and dating, she’s always looking at the long-term.

When she has relationships like that, she can have connections around her that are trustworthy and supportive. In return, she will develop a strong sense of responsibility to the relationships in her life, particularly in wanting to create a safe space for them, nurturing them in that way. She’s very eager to take on a more emotional role in long-term relationships. White puts up a front professionally, feeling she holds up society and her family, so she actually wants to take a step back and allow someone else to take charge in her relationships in the sense of being taken care of. Once she’s able to find that balance, she’ll find a relationship that is loyal, dedicated, and steady.

I think this will help her overcome a lot of emotional wounds that she’s developed over time. Moreover, there’s an Aquarius degree here, meaning she’s looking for something unique, forward-thinking, and innovative, which isn’t a surprise. In her relationships, I think this is definitely something that aligns with her personality and something she would need anyway in order to have a close bond with someone, due to her mix of traits and experiences- her unique qualities and traits would naturally lead to unique relationships.

Eighth House: Aquarius

Here, we come to the instinctual parts of life, such as rebirth and transformation, sexual energy, and even shared resources. With this being in Aquarius, White is likely to find and define her independence and unique intellect within the hidden or darker aspects of life. In her finances, this may be a problem, as she takes an unconventional approach to joint finances and what she invests in. She may like to play around with her finances and take big risks on a whim, which may or may not work out for her, depending on the situation. This may also mean she takes an alternative approach to her sexual and intimate relationships, and will probably experiment with esoteric practices during her lifetime. Her sense of humour could also help her to navigate any difficult or uncomfortable times in her life, though she should be careful, with her other placements, not to joke inappropriately.

As much as White doesn’t have a problem expressing herself in some areas, such as at work, in her interests, and with her intellect, her emotional realm is a bit more difficult and she may struggle to express herself in an authentic, self-guided manner, particularly if she has imitated authority figures or roles that she thinks she needs to adopt. Plus, she needs to be careful about what can come with this placement, as she may find that her difficulty to express herself properly leaves her unable to deal with stress and changes, particularly when it comes to societal changes. She may not feel grounded and therefore, is likely to take it hard or even lash out. Yet, personal transformation is easier for her. She can usually change herself fairly quickly and without much thought, and this may come across as unusual and abrupt to others. Yet, this dissonance between swift personal transformation and not always being able to handle the changes of others and society can make it difficult for others to understand her, and maybe even for her to understand herself at times.

The crises that occur in her life will help to guide her towards being more individual as a person, helping her to be more free and forward-thinking in general. As there is also a Pisces degree, there may be a sense of confusion around how she can effectively approach her own transformations in life, as well as how she can share with others on a society-based level, despite the fact she wants to give to others. Yet, this is also emphasised by the Pisces degree, as this is all about connection. Not only to others but to herself; the areas that come under this house can be extremely important for her development, as well as her spiritual journey. Learning to connect to herself first is the key to effectively connecting to others.

Ninth House: Pisces

In the house of expansion, growth, adventure, and belief systems, we have Pisces, making White someone whose philosophy is likely to be emphasised around the imaginative and mystical parts of life. These philosophies are of the highest importance to her and she applies them to her daily life. She may enjoy stories of the supernatural, so would enjoy fiction, mythology, as well as exploring altered states of consciousness, meaning that she’s most likely spiritual or religious, something that’s emphasised in other parts of her chart. Yet, despite this, she may be a little fuzzy on her worldview, what exactly it is, and her thinking may be too far out of this world to actually guide her. She’s always thinking beyond, which means her philosophy is not always based in reality. Once she applies her understanding and experiences from her spirituality to her outside world, she’ll find it’ll help to solve her problems.

Her ideal adventure would actually be when she gets to journey into herself, or when she gets to travel to a place of incredible beauty or stillness, or just being able to lose herself in something big and immersive. Despite that, she isn’t the type of person who wants to travel often and she may feel drawn to staying in places near water. With Aries in the degree here as well, we see that she’s creative here. She’s willing to explore, in a very direct and active way, these different philosophies, these imaginative and mystical parts of life, and she’s willing to go out and explore these adventures she really wants deep down, and she’s willing to be creative in how she does that.

Tenth House: Aries

White’s house of authority, career, public life, and societal roles is in Aries. This means she’s someone who’s likely to have an active and fiery professional life, who likes to take charge of her destiny, and who likes to be in positions of leadership, as she’s very comfortable in the spotlight. She’s someone who thrives when she gets to engage with her initiative, as well as show feats of courage in her career- the type that really impresses others and makes her look flashy. This is because she’s naturally energetic here and brings a sense of fun, due to her passionate nature. Moreover, this ends up leading into her wanting to lead projects and providing enthusiasm to others as they get the work done. This can work to her advantage, as she isn’t the type of person to be steady in her work motivation, so having people around her who are happy to provide the details whilst she provides the more public and encouraging tasks would be good for her.

Ultimately, White puts herself in a contradiction. She likes to be in the spotlight, to be in charge, to be the main voice, but she isn’t the type of person who can do the work herself, due to her attention span, lack of motivation, and impulsivity in her decision-making after the initial burst has worn off. Therefore, she has the right public persona to be a leader but not the type of leader who can do the hard graft. She would actually benefit from letting other people lead. From this placement alone, it suggests that she’s the type of person who can be hard-working and driven once she figures out what she wants and I believe this is somewhat true, but with her chart overall, I actually think she would benefit from finding a career that allows her to be a bit more scattered, to find a role that suits this part of her, as that’s not going to go away, even with some more balance in her life. She’s only as hard-working as she wants to be and the question is whether she wants to be. White needs to find a job that she’d be endlessly curious about, one with a bit of diversity.

However, as she has a Taurus degree here, she naturally attracts abundance, particularly materially, so, despite these challenges, she’s the type of person to thrive anyway. This might mean she’s someone who always manages to work it out one way or another, but it also means she’s potentially the type of person who takes the credit for other people’s hard work behind the scenes, and doesn’t always give them any verbal or material reward for that. Either way, she would benefit from more balance, despite the natural abundance she attracts.

Eleventh House: Taurus

Here, we arrive at themes surrounding humanity, group dynamics, aspirations, and hopes and dreams. With it in Taurus, White is someone who wants the community/society around her to be slow and stable, a place where she can feel grounded and that she feels is reliable at all times. This is backed by her Eighth House where we see she doesn’t like the idea of a fast-changing society or environment around her; it makes her feel unsteady. As she shows elements of being excessive and spontaneous within herself, I think it’s important for her to have a place that is the opposite of that and if it moves too quickly, she’ll end up feeling disoriented or uneasy. Some of her aspirations for humanity and for society is about increasing a sense of security, particularly materially.

Like her other placements, we see the value of community and beauty emphasised. She really just loves spending time with her loved ones and feeling she has solid bonds with those around her. Again, the idea of connections over superficial or material aspects is emphasised here- she likes the simple things in life. She’s also the type of person to not have a lot of friends but she’s close to the ones she has, and is more likely to make long-term connections than have something short lasting. However, as Taurus’ can be slow and stubborn, White may become the same here, becoming stuck in groups or places when they no longer benefit her or when they never did in the first place, especially with her loyal nature. She’ll feel it’s wrong to move on. Yet, there is a Gemini degree here, meaning she’s curious and willing to explore when it comes to her sense of community and exploring her bonds in general. This is something she’d enjoy, but tied with Taurus, probably just at a slower pace than usual.

Twelfth House: Gemini

Coming to the last house, White’s is in Gemini, and we see themes surrounding hidden strengths, endings, transformation, and spirituality. This means when it comes to these areas, as well as the world of dreams and the subconscious, she likes to take a mentally-oriented approach. She’s endlessly inspired and curious about this aspect of life and finds much depth in exploring her curiosities and ideas here. White likes to find answers because, to her, this area of life is captivating, though sometimes confusing for her. There’s some themes in her overall chart saying spirituality is good for her, that she also loves to explore darker sides of life, but not all of spirituality is heavy and dark, it’s light and inspiring. Finding a balance between all of these aspects may mean she finds it difficult to balance her subconscious and her approach to these areas; mentally, she becomes too busy to be present. She’s the type of person to go everywhere and nowhere at once. Even so, because she is intellectual and even poetic in her nature, this enables her to express herself and tap into spirituality in a way that’s eternally exciting for her. This will be a great gateway for her to start exploring realms that are a little more confusing for her when she first starts. Moreover, there’s a Cancer degree to this house, meaning she’ll find security and a sense of being at home in herself when she allows herself to truly explore this area and be open with it, but once she can find a firm footing in this area, she can also direct it towards her family and home environment that she so truly desires and needs, and bring some sense of healing to it too.

So I joined tumblr in December after seething about 15.20 for a little while. Before that I’d been an AO3 lurker and occasional writer in several fandoms, and before that I was (proudly!) kicked off of LJ for my disgusting and offensive PG-13 Harry/Draco drabbles that apparently squicked (a term I’ve recently learned no one uses any more :/) the random Christians who were inexplicably trolling LJ.

I knew very little about the spn fandom - specifically their demographics - when I first came here. I’d sort of been enjoying the show (usually? Eh, like 70/30) in my own little bubble - the same with fanfic and fanart.

To be frank, I was startled to discover the sheer number of younger folks and LGBT+ who are fans. Of course, reading all of your discourse and meta and musings, it makes perfect sense that spn and its characters would speak to young members of the LGBT+ community; I’d just been a little too ‘in my own head’ to put that together.

I’m a cisgender woman, and I’m generally fine with being called straight, though it’s not 100% accurate (what ever is, really?). That said, I wasn’t sexually or romantically attracted to anyone until I was in my early twenties, and my interests didn’t really align with those of other girls when I was in school. So, around seventh or eighth grade when most of the other girls started to go a little boy crazy, a few of them (my friends, actually) decided I was a lesbian. Their 12-year-old, early 2000s reasoning was “well, if you don’t like boys, and you keep your hair short, you’re probably a lesbian.” And I sort of just said “yeah, okay.”

So, when I was around 13 or so (and a newly minted “lesbian”), I started to get interested in media with gay themes. I started with shows like Queer As Folk and The L Word, and oddly enough, even though I didn’t relate to the romantic or sexual stuff because I didn’t feel things like that at the time, I did relate to the characters’ struggles. Feeling like no one knows you, like people can’t accept you, want to change you, feeling alone and different and outcast. Maybe it’s because I wasn’t very pretty, maybe because I was one of the only black girls in my grade, maybe because I was an only child and a latchkey kid; whatever the reason, these gay characters spoke to me. I felt like I knew them, and they knew me.

In true millennial style, I blew through pretty much all the gay stuff my mom would let me watch (she actually got suuuuper into The L Word, we watched like seven episodes in a row on Christmas Eve once), and then started scouring the internet for more content. That’s when I came across sites like Ink-Stained Fingers (a Harry Potter slash archive that might still exist? Idk) and Library of Moria (same thing but for LotR). And suddenly - anyone could be gay! And even though I wasn’t actually a lesbian (though at the time I was rather convinced I was), it still felt fantastic that I could actually relate to these characters, some of whom I’d only vaguely liked in reading their original canons.

I very quickly became a fanfic connoisseur - and it even went beyond slash pairings or any pairings at all. I just liked seeing characters in a new light. I liked seeing people and relationship dynamics that were different, taboo, subversive - because it made me feel better about being me.

I went off to college. Screwed around with some boys, some girls, some people who didn’t call themselves either. Became pretty sure I wasn’t a lesbian, but still didn’t really know what I was; this was over ten years ago, and all the various terminology was still pretty new. Eventually, I met a boy who made me smile and turned me on - both of which were entirely new and singular experiences for me - and I married him.

Cut to: my husband and I watching 15.20, and both of us - cisgender and predominately straight - looking at each other like “wtf is this bro-y bullshit?”

So I thought “fuck this, I need to vent,” hopped on tumblr, and - low and behold - here you all are! It took me a minute to wrap my head around it, to get past the initial excitement of just look at all the people the different people the real people the people who are so very unapologetically themselves!

I don’t think any of you could possibly know how happy I was (am) to see you all, how very beautiful it is that you’re all here.

Anyway. To all the LGBT+ shippers reading this, I just want you to know (re: the deancas wedding, but also just... everything): if even my dumb, straight, weird, who-even-am-I ass can see it, it’s real. You’re not crazy, you’re not delusional, your opinions are not invalid. You’re not just “projecting,” and even if you were, there’s no damn law that says only straight people get to project. Please don’t let shitty people (who are literally too stupid to even capitalize on your interest for their own gain) ruin anything for you.

To any straight shippers: if you’re anything like me, you’re not fetishizing or objectifying gay relationships - you’re relating to characters that you adore in the best way you know how. You’re celebrating the qualities in people that make the world diverse and colorful and beautiful.

To any young shippers: it gets better. You’ll get out. You’ll find better answers. You’ll learn better questions. You’ll figure it all out, or (slightly more likely) you’ll figure out that not everything needs to be figured out. People do hear you, and people do care about you and what you have to say. Your voice matters.

To everyone: there’s nothing wrong with you. And I’m so damn sorry that anyone has ever made you believe that there is. Honestly. I’m sorry.

Can’t serve an eldritch fear god if you ain’t cute!

I decided to try & get back into Copics yesterday, as well as playing around with fashion. I honestly really don’t like marker as a medium; the results always have this weird, grainy look, and solid colors usually end up looking desaturated and messy. I remember being in middle/high school and thinking Copics were THE art supply, but now that both I and my art skillz have grown... *sigh*

And to no one’s surprise, I’ve done yet another piece of TMA fanart. I think this is, like, the eighth piece of fully-fledged TMA art I’ve done. (As well as my nine billionth drawing of Oliver Banks.) It’s through fanart of The Magnus Archives that I’ve made some of my best art ever, though, so I’m not exactly complaining.

A few notes on my brainrot headcanons about their various fashion senses:

Annabelle really embraced the whole “Miss Muffet” look via more casual gothic lolita fashion. She probably has a few ouji looks, too. I’m projecting my lesbian feelings surrounding gender presentation onto Annabelle, and I’m very valid.

Michael always wears tie-dye T-shirts, The Transmasc Button-Down(TM), or both. (This is both before and after the Distortion forcibly kinned him.) Helen wears God-awful 80s style pantsuits and kitten heels. These are canon.

Elias dresses like somewhere between one of the slightly more boring Met Gala attendees, and someone who’s headed to his 14th divorce hearing. (Guess who he’s divorcing.)

Oliver? Fucker is an overgrown goth. He saw The Matrix as a teenager and never looked back.

Leela and Narvin, all the way. When I first started listening to Gallifrey and realized that people shipped them, I was like “???!?!” It made no sense??? they HATED each other, and also Narvin was a genuinely terrible person who consistently cut Leela down and devalued her??? I figured it was just another case of what I like to call “The Klance Effect,” which is the phenomenon where fandoms seem inclined to ship something simply by virtue of the amount of hate the characters have for one another.

But I mean... the fanart??? it is SO CUTE???! and I figured if people were making stuff that cute for two characters who hated each other that much, something must change somewhere along the line (and I also found out that Louise Jameson and Seán Carlsen apparently shipped the pairing themselves which made me give it some more thought 😂)

But I mean... character development, man. It Does Things.

I asked this question to another blog but never got an answer. I asked google but I couldn't find anything. How in God's name does me being a zutara shipper (and no I'm not sensoring the name bc why the fuck) make me a racist?

i appreciate the active hostility with which this question was asked. you seem to be really steaming right now, which makes me super inclined to answer your question with patience and respect!

by the way you phrased this, you seem to have made shipping a part of your identity. the phrasing of “a ___ shipper” vs “someone who ships ___” really speaks volumes. i’ve noticed this is the case with a lot of insular fan communities that become heavily attached to a specific romance within the show. especially when said relationship is not canon. i know it’s easy to get riled up over nothing, but i promise you this: you are not under attack. bryke did not slight you by not making your ship canon. no fan of atla is under attack for their opinions on atla. it’s a show. these are not real problems. it is perfectly valid to feel upset over the writing of a show (i, too, for example, think the mai/zuko and katara/aang resolutions in the finale were slapdash, poorly-written, and borderline-misogynistic) but at the end of the day, it’s just a show.

on the other hand, when fans of a piece of media say “hey, this phenomenon (either within the text itself, paratext, or fan engagement) with regards to this thing i like is racist, actually,” they are not just saying “i feel hurt by this fictional narrative,” but they are also saying “this is actively harmful, because even the smallest form of racism is microcosmic of a larger issue that actively gets people killed every day.” (listen. i know this is very obvious to anyone who has ever experienced racism, but i’ve encountered a lot of white people who don’t seem to grasp that racism has explicitly harmful effects, so i thought i would elucidate this matter nonetheless.)

the pairing of zuko and katara, from what i’ve witnessed of fan communities over the past decade, seems to be founded on “the inherent sexiness of antagonism.” i’ve seen people say it’s about the parallels, the yin/yang, the thematic importance of forgiveness, and sure, i’ll give you that. they do parallel each other in resonant, deliberate ways. they are fire and water. katara coming to forgive zuko represents significant growth, and their friendship is poignant and meaningful. but i fail to see how any of this is inherently romantic. it is actually possible to love someone without having sexual chemistry. i know people ship zuko with literally everyone, including twelve year olds, but for a moment let’s put our common sense hats on and assume that it would be absurd to ship him with either aang or toph. shipping him with katara seems just as absurd to me. he certainly comes to respect her a great deal, but at the end of the day, he still regards her as a child. a child whom he loves and respects, but, just like aang and toph, a child nonetheless. katara is fourteen. a grizzled war veteran, yes, but an eighth grader nonetheless. if a junior in high school started dating a fourteen year old, they would be considered a creep. you know why? because it’s creepy!

so back to what you zoot shippers seem to consider the crux of their chemistry: the antagonism. i could easily pull together eight scenes of them getting along, and yet every single gifset i’ve ever seen compiling moments of the two of them includes at least two or three in which katara still wants zuko dead. doesn’t seem very romantique to me! but what i regard as justifiable rage, a lot of you seem to think denotes sexual tension. the thing is, it’s not sexual; it’s just tension. katara has absolutely no reason to like or trust zuko, as to her, he has done absolutely nothing to prove himself distinct from the people responsible for the destruction of her home, the genocide of people like her, the murder of her mother, the spreading of an imperialist colonialist project. she trusted him to side with good in ba sing se, and nearly cost aang his life, so she knows she can’t afford to make that mistake again and risk aang dying. from her perspective, her rage is one hundred percent reasonable, and she has no plans of trusting him ever again, until he actively works to earn her forgiveness. from zuko’s perspective, he was just staring up at the sky, and now this incessant little five year old won’t stop bullying him, which is really annoying, sokka please get your irritating little sister to cut that out, why’s she being so meannnnn :(

when zuko uses katara’s necklace as leverage, that is not sexy; that is him threatening katara with a family heirloom, and all that she has left of her mother. when zuko rolls on top of her to protect her from falling rubble, that is not sexy; that is him not trusting katara is capable enough to protect herself. by the end of the episode, he realizes that she is far more powerful and capable than he ever gave her credit for, and he is awed by her power. him treating her like a child (which, frankly, is fair, because she is) is decidedly not sexy. when zuko jumps in front of lightning for katara, that is not inherently romantic; he would have jumped in front of lightning for momo, and you know it. for one thing, he wasn’t risking a single thing; he was confident that he would be able to redirect it, then azula pointed it at the wrong person, but because he is impulsive, he dove in front of it anyway because he thought he still could redirect it, even though his stance was all wrong. but when actually given a moment to think, he chose katara to fight azula with him because she was the obvious person for the job on every tactical level. she is the most powerful bender he knows. period. water extinguishes fire. and fire is at its greatest and most powerful on this day. he’s not going to let toph into the line of fire; even if suki could fight azula, it would be deeply insensitive to make her considering azula tortured her in the past; and sokka has places to be, he doesn’t have time for your sidequest! katara is obviously the person you take. and there is nothing inherently romantic about zuko’s friendship with her.

ah, but what about that time she touched his scar? was that not an unparalleled act of tenderness? a beautiful moment of gentle caress? i mean, yeah, sure, but i don’t see why that needs to be romantic. i mean, you can read romance into it, if you want to, because, like, i said, sure, but if anything, i think acting like that moment is romantic lessens its impact. this is an important moment for katara; she is humanizing the enemy! this is an important moment for zuko; he is allowing himself to be helped. i could analyze this moment for a writing standpoint endlessly, because it’s beautiful, but i won’t, because that is pointless analysis when i am, instead, trying to explain to you why i think the act of shipping this pairing is more often than not rooted in racism.

i will say this: i don’t think shipping them is inherently racist. i think if you think their friendship has potential for something more, and you think they should have gotten together, you’re not necessarily racist to think so. i think you’re wrong, but racist? well, that’s a different matter. no, i think this ship is rooted in racism for the simple fact that so much fan-generated content i’ve stumbled across over the years has been deeply, horrifically racist. i think this ship also lends itself to that kind of racism because it is so reminiscent of racist tropes that the majority white fans of the ship, either unaware of the harmful connotations of these tropes, or active fans of these tropes, love to employ uncritically. i’ve seen pocahontas aus. i’ve seen beauty and the beast aus (wherein, mind you, katara is the beast...........yes, you read that right). i’ve seen wildly popular fanart that sexualizes katara––who, may i repeat, IS FOURTEEN––in disgusting ways. and most of all, i’ve seen the delegitimization of katara’s anger towards zuko, as if she is simply supposed to “get over” the harm the fire nation has caused her. she is clearly deeply affected by the death of her mother, and zuko used her love for her mother as leverage: first, with her necklace, and second, when he used his empathy over their shared loss as a means of gaining katara’s trust. it’s clear that fans (not all, but many i’ve seen, at least those passionate enough to send me an ask with this phrasing) of this ship don’t actually give a shit about katara’s role as an indigenous woman, or why she would have no desire in dating a colonizer. sometimes it’s clear that people are actually cognizant of this, and even get off on it. they think it’s sexy. they think the racism is hot.

katara and zuko have a fascinating dynamic. they are clear foils, and their relationship is poignant and has great depth. of the little we do see of their friendship, it’s clear that they care about each other a lot. but to imply that their relationship is in any way sexual veers into racist territory really, really quickly. now, i have no idea whether you, yourself are racist. i can guess, based on your phrasing of this ask, and knowing that anyone who thinks that “being accused of racism is worse than racism” is definitely racist, but i’m not going to make any assumptions one way or another. i hope you appreciate my taking the time to answer this, because much like that other blog you sent this ask to, i have absolutely no obligation to. it shouldn’t be my role to educate people on why [x thing] is/can be harmful, especially when they are clearly asking me in bad faith and are likely to disregard everything i just wrote. so all that being said, you’re welcome.

so i made a fanart of the character i’ll be using for this fanficiton in ao3. further details will be below the line

name: MITSUE FUJIMOTO (光衛藤本)

weapon: naginata

abilities:

Strong Intuition: She has great instincts that she can trust and use it at all times, even in battles.

Breath of the Stars

a breathing style that only suits for mitsue for who she is. this breathing also specializes on speed and accuracy, its strength only depending on the user itself.

First Form: The Birth of the Star King Aries

mitsue unsheathes her naginata and gives a fast an accurate stab or slice on her target, which makes it the fastest form. it may soon be followed by any other forms.

Second Form: Taurus the Abundance of Starflowers

the form that only she could make for her breathing helps her mind calm down and increase her intuition, also increasing the five senses of her body, gaining more perceptiveness around her and gives her more advantage against her opponent.

Third Form: Gemini the Dancing Star-crossed Twins

mitsue hits the opponent with the two ends of her naginata simultaneously, pushing back and attacking the opponent at the same time.

Fourth Form: Unity of Cancer and Stardust

mitsue ceases all movements and thoughts as she regains her breath and meditates in the middle of the battle for only a couple of seconds, fully dropping her defenses. this greatly enhances her mental abilities afterwards and makes her think clearly, causing her in a “frenzy” state of movements but with a clear mind.

Fifth Form: Leo the Shadow Stargazer

mitsue’s shadow will be what her opponent will see as she bolts to them, only showing her true self after slashing the opponent once.

Dream Shade: a combination of the first and fifth form where she slices instead of stabs the enemy with a faster speed and the same accuracy. this is the fastest attack of star breathing.

Sixth Form: Virgo the Eye of the Stars

mitsue’s naginata will be attracted to the weak points of her opponent, attcaking it with one stab or slash.

Seventh Form: Libra the Chain of Misfortune

wherein mitsue combines her demon blood arts in battle, covering her nichirin blade with her blood intoxicating her opponent/s and when she’s able to injure them, she will be able control them. this is proven to be effective even against the twelve demon moons

Eighth Form: Scorpio the Cold-Burning Star

mitsue twirls her naginata through the pole with an immense speed and she can use it as a defensive or evasive attack for if she slashes after twirling the blade, the impact would be able to cut anything easily.

Ninth Form: Ophichus the Crescent Monster

the pole of mitsue’s naginata becomes more fluid and flexible, and it can extend like cloth, making the blade easier to reach the target.

Tenth Form: Sagittarius from Under the Starless Sky

multiple gigantic slashes aimed to her opponent/s with little to no accuracy yet its speed makes up for it, even for long-range targets.

Eleventh Form: Capricorn in Spring of Starburst

mitsue continually stabs on her opponent in a close range, twisting the pole every time she does and it gives a burning sensation afterwards on the wounds, resembling the sensation of exploding bombs. this is similar to the eighth form but this form is more fatal and causes more damage.

Twelfth Form: Aquarius the Flash of Starlight

a bright, shining light will blind her demon opponent/s momentarily as she closes in on them, slanting a blade of her naginata in front of them to reflect whatever light is around her, giving off a stinging sensation on her opponent, effectively giving her time to escape, evade, or recover.

Thirteenth Form: Pisces the Death of the Starseed

combining her blood demon arts, she can make her opponent look at her in the eye and not see her stabbing them. the effect on the opponent is still unknown but according to mitsue, they might hallucinate or see illusions upon looking into her eyes

Demon Abilities

Enhanced Strength - Like any other demons, her physical strength is unlike to normal humans. She uses this ability more to increase her speed on her legs.

Regeneration - She can also regenerate any severed or injury she receives, like any demon. The speed depends on the form she takes on currently.

Blood Demon Arts

Her blood demon arts is what she usually use against anyone who pursues her for with this, she could either kill them or confuse their minds with her sweet, alluring voice. It depends if her opponent has strong mental training to be able to break from her spell.

Alluring Voice - Mitsue can allure anyone through the use of only her voice, being able to convince them to do small, simple acts. This works only on onis or humans that are weaker than her.

Charmed Aroma - Her blood possesses an intoxicating aroma that even a small cut would suffice, being able to intoxicate anyone who whiffs a scent of it, humans or onis alike. This depends on whether they’re weaker than her current state or not.

Look of Death - This gives her the ability to have her opponent look at her in the eye and see illusions and hallucinations. This will be much more effective if she will be able to blend her blood to her opponent’s that even upper moons can be affected.
