hello merc what on earth is scp? i’ve seen it around on youtube but i don’t know what it is

Hello jordan i will explain!! warning i started ranting near the end oops

SCP is a fictional horror/creepypasta science foundation that researches things called anomalies, those are creatures/items/whatevers that don’t follow the rules of reality as we know it. The people that work at the foundation work to protect the rest of the world from both knowing that these things exist and from getting hurt by them

It’s kinda like wikipedia as in anyone can edit it and add their own scp and write stuff about them!! because of this there is a lot of contradictory info, so there’s multiple canons! there’s also like a bajillion different scp-001’s

An example of an anomaly would be SCP-3008 which is an infinite IKEA that you can’t leave and the workers try’s and kill you, they contain this by making it so that people can’t get into the building and interviewing those who leave (this is an oversimplification of 3008, but you just need the jist of it!!)

You didn’t ask but i’m telling you anyway (because you’re my friend and i like you) but the thing i’m super interested in is a specific type of SCP called Anti-Memetics or Anti-Memes

Memetics is a real thing, but in the context of the foundation it means things that have anomalous effects on people through information/memory, so think like a thing that when you think about it (writing about it, drawing it, talking about it, ect) it makes you think you have wings, and anyone else that knows about also temporarily thinks they have wings even though they don’t.

Anti-memetics are the opposite of this, they are things that you can’t remember at all. Written things are in a different language, photos get corrupted, memories seem to “leak” out of your head, it exists but you just can’t remember anything about it. and i LOVE THEM!! (this is also a simplification, if you want to know more i suggest the wiki page on it!!)

As a ler:

Okay so, surprisingly he’s very merciful as a ler, makes sure the lee is okay with tickles, offers aftercare, etc.

Rarely ever uses his own hands to tickle lees, he prefers using plants! As per this au, his withering effect is replaced with chlorokinesis!

While he’s more gentle with tickles, he WILL tease a lee to the hells and back, he cant help it!

“My, is something wrong? You’re awfully giggly!” “Is something funny? Is there something on my face? It’s quite rude to laugh someone, you know..” “Oh, don’t touch this is a spot? Right here? Are you sure? I mean, you’re laughing so much, it seems perfect!” Being his favorite ones.

During breaches, it’s best to stay clear of the garden area where cain resides. As the second those alarms go off, cain will drop whatever He’s doing to join the fun!

Staff wise, his hands are rated E for everyone. Nobody is safe. But anomaly wise, his favorite target is Abel. (Or, scp 076-2!)

As a lee

Firstly, absolutely adores being tickled, and pretty much everyone on site knows this. He’s touch starved damnit!

His laugh too..its the most precious thing, speaking of, if someone ever calls it cute he gets all flustered and starts hiding his face in his hands <3

His worst spots are his belly, ribs, and back. Mainly his belly though.

Now, the feather material on his shirt around his neck isn’t just for show, it’s his own way of tickling himself .

Speaking of, his plants can and WILL wreck him.

Cannot STAND light tickles, folds immediately at the slightest graze over one of his spots.

The longer he’s been tickled, the squeakier his laugh gets. Almost like a squeaky toy!

Okay, so as a collective, you’re screwed. Period. These little guys FEED of laughter and show no mercy till they get their fill

Azalea’s, Like to group up and flutter against any skin visible. Mainly necks in an attempt to make a person fall, and then usually let the other plants nearby do the rest of the work.

Snapdragons are a bit more mischievous, will wrap vines around a persons ankles and then pull them into shrubbery, nipping, licking, and nuzzling wherever! Their teeth, of course, don’t hurt. And their ‘heads’ are fuzzy to where its pretty ticklish with nuzzles. And, fun fact, are the only plants that can be distracted by chin scratches!

Lily of the valleys aren’t attached to vines like most of the plants, rather they hop off their vine and run around in search of a victim, hence why they travel in a pair of two or more. Once they do, they climb up the persons legs and get under their shirt, scribbling their tiny hands against the belly and sides, occasionally moving to avoid any attempts at stopping them!

Spider lilies, are a special kind. They’ll entrap a victim in their webs, vines with a sticky sap, and then proceed to crawl over the victim, tickling with the four large feathery petals on its body!

Extra! (For both 073 and 073-2)

The plants adore cain, and more often then not will tickle him if he generally just seems sad and in need of a pick me up.

Cain is classified as a ‘creator’ entity, this is a au feature (that i’d love to explain more if asked!).

Cain and Abel USED to share the cell, but got separated for two reasons, one, abel and him loved teaming up when wrecking staff, and two, the plants loved to wreck abel. (The first reason is the main one, but since they kept targetting abel, d-class experiments rarely worked.)

The plants, while laughter is their main source of food, can also photosynthesize and “eat” sugar water!

Cain, much like 035, doesn’t need laughter to eat. Rather its just a better energy boost for him that sleep cannot always provide.

Some of the plants move their heads rapidly to signify excitement, a move they learned from cain while seeing him stim!

Speaking of, he’s on the spectrum..and is super knowledgeable about literally any plant

You can ask him about the most uncommon, unknown plant in the world and he’ll give you all the information you could ever need.

Cain, has a small crop bed for fruits and vegetables, which he gladly gives to the cafeteria in exchange for flower seeds!

Speaking of flowers, he loves making flower crowns, which he loves to give to staff (and other anomalies)!

Rating My Obsessions/Hyperfixiations:

(Going to try going oldest to newest but it might not go so well bc #traumablocking)

2019/2020 (can’t remember):

My Hero Academia: 1/10 (it gets one point for being my first ever hyperfixiation, but I was a foul human being during this time of my life)

The Chronicles of Vladimir Todd/Vampires: 7/10 (I’m sure if I went back and read these books now, they would be subpar and honestly childish, but at the time, I loved them with every fiber of my being, and the memories associated are good so..)

Death Note: 1/10 (Ew I’m foul. I’m a foul creature. I deserve to be put down.)

Dr. Stone: 4/10 (I honestly remember jack about this show but it gets a 4 for being anime.)

Undertale: 5/10 (This game made me happy for awhile, but it was introduced to me by an ex best friend, so it’s getting a solid 5.)

Detroit Become Human: 6/10 (Minus points because of the time of my life this was during, but this game is an absolute masterpiece <3)

Hellsing: 5/10 (The obsession was unhealthy, but this one was pretty great too. Now, it’s sort of a sore spot, but at the time I was living the dream.)

BATIM: 9/10 (This hyperfixiation is honestly older that what I’m giving it credit for, but it’s going here because I don’t have a category for before 2019. Anyway it’s pretty great. It came back in summer of 2023 when I finally watched Dark Revival, which I liked better than the original <3)

FNaF: 8/10 (High score because this is one of the only hyperfixiations that has lasted so many years and can still bring me joy. It’s also older than I’m giving it credit for. Now, Was I cringe about it at some point? Definitely. Do I care? No.)

DSAF: 10/10 (I might be jumping the gun by giving this one my first 10, but I absolutely love this game. It’s only ever brought me joy, to this day I still love it, I based so many of my usernames and characters on it..and just ugh, I love it Fr.)

Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: 7/10 (Admittedly, I haven’t stayed that up to date on it, but I love this anime. It doesn’t have that many bad memories and it’s just, great.)

Dialtown: 8/10 (In the same boat as DSAF but it didn’t bring me AS much joy. I still love it though and honestly I need to finish it.)

Hamilton: 5/10 (At the time, again, I loved it, but now it’s honestly one of my least favorite musicals.)

Borderlands: 7/10 (oh god to experience this game again for the first time would truly be a beautiful experience. Although I was cringe with it for awhile and this wasn’t exactly the happiest time of my life when I enjoyed this..so..)

LA Noire: 8/10 (I honestly loved this game, it was a big turning point in me and my brother’s relationship, and I remember staying up late on countless nights playing or watching him play it.)

Curses Cosplay/The Acklam Ashes: 9/10 (This creator doesn’t make content like this anymore, no hate at all they have their reasons and I still love them, but this YouTube show was a pivotal point of my life and I love it so.)

2021:

Creepypasta: 2/10 (Low score just for the sake of the fandom, and the fact of who I was associated with during this period of time.)

Marble Hornets: 6/10 (Was I cringe? Yes. Absolutely. But this show is so amazing I’m willing to put that aside. I’m also rating this separately from creepypasta for obvious reasons.)

WitchCraft: 5/10 (I had a whole witchy thing for awhile? It was mostly just tarot cards and shirts with the phases of the moon on them.)

DND/Divinity Original Sin: 10/10 (I have zero bad memories with either of these. My love for fantasy and DnD was awakened by playing Divinity Original Sin 2 with my older brother, and then that stemmed into more love for fantasy and the genre in general.)

SCP: 8/10 (This hyperfixiation is somewhat still alive? Not really, but I do still enjoy some occasional SCP content. It’s not a higher score because this was 8th grade year and that’s embarrassing.)

The Glass Animals: 9/10 (Less of a hyperfixiation, more of just, man they made some banger music.)

Elvis: 6/10 (Literally what was wrong with me. For awhile I only listened to music from this era, especially Elvis, and forced my family to buy me a bunch of Elvis merch I didn’t need.)

Noir: 6/10 (Okay so, this stemmed from the above mentioned LA Noire earlier and basically was a time period of my life where I was obsessed with watching old detective/murder mystery movies from the 20s. Honestly, they were bangers. But also, wtf was I doing.)

Tv Heads?: 5/10 (I had a weird thing for robot TV heads for awhile? It’s hard to explain honestly.)

Queen: 7/10 (Another one of those weird band obsessions I guess. This one was definitely bigger than the glass animals.)

2022:

Good Omens: 10/10 (Absolutely love. Loved it then and I still love it to this day!! Holding out for season 3 Fr 💪)

Clover: 7/10 (not many people know what this is, so for context it’s an electroswing album by OR3O. I loved it at the time but it doesn’t hit as hard now.)

Phantom of the Opera: 10/10 (Another 10. This wasn’t technically the first musical I ever watched, but, it was the start of my love for musicals and broadway. And it’s just a great musical Fr.)

Ghostbusters: 7/10 (If you asked me why I suddenly had a ghostbuster hyperfixiation during this time, I couldn’t tell you. But they are iconic movies so…)

The Steve Saga: 8/10 (I had watched FavremySabre several years before, but never this series. Anyway I loved it, still love it.)

Supernatural: 7/10 (A bit of a lower score because I was cringe, and my obsession with Castiel was unhealthy. Not to mention Supernatural isn’t exactly the best show on Netflix? It got dull later on, but..did I watch it start to finish anyway? Yeah. Absolutely.)

Twisted Rainbow: 10/10 (FavremySabre Masterpiece.)

Doctor Who: 6/10 (Two words. Season 13.)

Ghost: 6/10 (Low Score because I can’t stand to listen to them now, and because it’s associated with an ex bestie. But. Can’t lie. They had some bangers.”

Faith The Unholy Trinity: 10/10 (Awesome Game, honestly one of the first things that sparked by interest in religious media, so points for that.)

The Exorcist: 9/10 (An odd thing to hyperfixiate on, I know, but this was also a result of my growing love for religious media.)

Mandela Catalouge: 6/10 (This was an odd one. I, at the time, had this raging fear of analog horror in general, so watching the Mandela Catalogue was sort of like..immersion therapy in a way. But it’s a pretty good show none the less 🤷‍♀️)

Be More Chill: 5/10 (Loved at the time, but low points for having been introduced to me by an ex bestie.)

Every Man Hybrid: 8/10 (A certified banger. Genuinely one of the better takes on the Operator and the whole creepypasta fandom in general. It’s great fr. Highly recommend.)

Grease: 4/10 (Ew. I’m only putting it here because I was in a production of it, and it was kind of a part of my life, but also, ew.)

Greys Anatomy: 8/10 (A banger show, but it doesn’t get a 10 simply because of how long it is.)

Can you tell your sound design person/people that I'm a little bit in love with them? Pretty much every decision they've ever made in the show absolutely rocks. Even the size of a room is considered when editing, and it really makes you feel the space. This show has made me add sound design to the top of things I'd like to learn someday.

Also, Mark is one of my favorite voice actors ever. I could write several essays on his performance in season 3. There's a particular moment when the Lobby Boy is first trapped in a room, when he says "I stand in the dark for... I don't know how long." Mark does a bit of vocal fry during the pause that makes it sound like the Lobby Boy started saying "hours" before deciding he really didn't know how long, and it's one of my favorite moments of the show.

a deeply intricate post ca:tws winterhawk story where clint is holed in in a safehouse somewhere and bucky hunts him down and asks for his help in exchange for information on phil coulson's whereabouts. loops in some early agents of shield stuff and is kind of an around-the-world casefic.

currently i'm toying with the idea of a x-files au where krycek runs into mulder in a bdsm club. some horrible things ensue.

Scp 049 x Reader (Fluff)

This story isn’t anything too specific just some platonic love with the birb : ) while eating lunch together sorry if my writing isn’t all that good but I hope you enjoy nonetheless I do want to warn that I have been told my writing can be hard to read so please 🥲 if it is I am sorry punctuation is also not a big thing for me either sorry if the story is kinda crumby too but I hope you enjoy!

Y/n was eating lunch in the foundations cafeteria by the window the sun shinning bright through. It was a peaceful day for once the rest of the foundation staff and SCPs a select few SCPs were eating as well. Y/n sat alone by the best spot there was in their opinion they did sometimes sit with coworkers and friends they made but sometimes they needed some alone time.

Y/n was enjoying their lunch (favorite food) and the peacefulness then all of a sudden the lunch room got abit quiet a sudden dread and eeriness took over. y/n looked over and spotted no other then Scp 049 with some guards “huh that explains it” Y/n quietly spoke to themself but wondered why the plague doctor was even there in the first place since he isn’t allowed to eat in the lunch room Y/n was too focused on what was going on outside the window to even pay attention gazing at the clouds seeing the clouds form into animals and just being clouds “Good day to you miss Y/n” a voice said you look up and it is no other then 049 sitting across from you at the table with his lunch “a lovely day hmm?” He spoke trying to strike up a conversation the guards though closely stood by

“A lovely day indeed doctor shocking to see you in here” Y/n spoke “ah yes for the day I’ve been granted permission to sit in here for the day” 049 spoke happily y/n nodded in understanding y/n was on good terms with the plague doctor they did become kinda close lately but y/n was so busy with work that they have not had time to see 049 even if he requested to see Y/n

“I do say I haven’t seen much of you are you alright?” The plague doctor asked concerned this made y/n nervous the guards seemed to tense as they heard this the last time 049 asked if someone was alright it ended in him curing said person “oh I am well yes doctor just been busy” y/n chuckled nervously The plague doctor nodded “I have missed our discussions it seems everyone is so busy or no one is available to talk to” he sighed this pained you to hear that sigh you felt guilty your heart raced abit “y/n” he spoke softly just saying your name your heart raced abit faster “y…yea?” you replied he looked out the window as you were doing “you can talk to me you know you can even come to me if you need help I will always here there what kind of doctor would I be if I wasn’t anyways?” 049 spoke softly

This eased you his voice overall was pleasing to listen to despite his vibe he gave off you could listen to him all day his voice soothed your soul “Thanks doctor that means a lot” Y/n smiled

With that the two talked more and 049 shared some information about the pestilence with y/n and his trips around the world after awhile when they finished their lunch 049 had to go back to his cell

“Do come see me more y/n it’s always a pleasure talking to you” the plague doctor said “of course 049 I will it’s always a pleasure talking to you to” you replied with that he was escorted back to his cell you smiled to yourself and now more determined then ever to get your work done to visit the plague doctor once more.

Like hehe silly man but also the inherent horror of immortality. Like Bright being sillygoofy is great and I think it’s good but sometimes that darker part kinda gets thrown away yknow. I put this down here because aside from its connection to Bright, SCP-963 isn’t super interesting tbh. All the cool things about it are connected to Bright, who tends to be a very hit or miss (and somewhat controversial) character from what I’ve seen.

A- Of all the fanfic you’ve written, which is your favorite and why?

One of my favorites is, of course, the monsters AU. It’s been a very long time since I was so completely overtaken by an idea that it was literally the only thing I could write, and that feeling is such an overpowering, delirious one. But aside from that, this fic (series) was the one after I told myself I was no longer saving ideas or time for writing original work, because it wasn’t worth it. Publishing doesn’t want my stuff! So I’m using it on fic instead. And it turned into a fully crafted novella that I outlined and created character arcs for—essentially, all the things I’m no longer doing outside of fic. It’s very good!! (I say very humbly.)

D- What’s the most personal fanfic you’ve written?

Off-hand, I would answer with any fic that leans into anxiety tends to be very personal for me. Anxiety has been a constant companion for years and years now, and any time I’m able to harness it for a fic, that ends up striking very close to home for me. So, I would say you could be all i’ve got (what’s the difference) really flew close to the sun with a lot of my own anxieties AND also some of my own personal issues lol.

H- How would you describe your writing style?

I’m a huge user (overuser?) of really visceral metaphors: I like to think of different, unique ways to describing things and working them into the narration. Seldom will I describe something with the way it actually is, and a lot of time, I like to get out there with my comparisons. Like, oh, you’re feeling worried? Your feelings are the spray of the ocean now, the waves beating against your thoughts. I think it works, and I have a lot of fun with writing, because it really opens up the descriptors I’ve got available.

J- What’s your favorite fanfic trope? Have you written it?

Oh god, I LOVE TROPES so much. I AM SUCH A TROPE-Y WRITER. I mean, a perennial favorite is Only One Bed, and I think the reason I love it so much is that it hits so many OTHER tropes that I love: forced proximity, preying on insecurities, the unconscious reaction of your body towards someone you have feelings for. I have written it SO MUCH. I have written it funny and angsty and smutty and also cursed (lol the Horrors). I love every form of it.

M- What’s the weirdest AU scenario you’ve ever come up with? Did it turn into a story?

Weirdest AU… hmmm. Well, I did write a carnival AU, you’ve already got a ticket, there’s no turning back now. And I suppose there is the AU that set off my horror writing in fandom, which was the SCP fusion in threat level: euclid. There’s only really one that’s never made it to fic form: a guardian angel AU. (Well, that’s a lie. I also had an AU idea where people can see emotional scars on others like real scars? Never fleshed out enough, but an idea.)

fav thing: just. the scp community as a whole taking lordstonefish's suffermonkey created explicitly for the purpose of suffering and going theyre ours now. theyre trans and they have a boyfriend and they love each other despite everything that means in a story like theirs and they deserve a happy ending. A creation and their creator can destroy each other but creating can be an expression of love also. Gahh

least fav thing: nothing really tbh... Talloran is a rlly wonderfully written character and everyone seems very on the same page about them as far as I can tell.

favorite line: Because here's the thing about horror and weirdness: the more you reveal of it, the less effect it has. I am sick of your horror. I am sick of you.
