The clicking of Y/N’s heels against the marble floor resonated throughout the hall, as she hurried towards the bridal dressing room, the silk of dress flowing behind her. Her heart was racing with anticipation. A wave of excitement washed over her when she opened the door. Before her stood Minju, looking nothing short of exquisite in her wedding gown. The soft, ivory lace cascaded around her like a waterfall, the intricate embroidery glistening in the warm glow of the room. Her hair, elegantly coiled in an intricate updo, showcased the delicate necklace adorning her neck, and her ears sparkled with the shimmering elegance of diamond earrings. She looked nothing short of ethereal.

"Knock, knock," Y/N said, her voice filled with awe as she stepped further into the room, her eyes never leaving Minju.

“Gosh, I thought you’d never get here” Minju sighed in relief as Y/N engulfed her in a comforting hug.

"I know, sorry. Jesus, you look absolutely gorgeous," Y/N couldn't help but exclaim, her admiration spilling out in a breathless whisper. "Namjoon's going to go crazy."

Minju's eyes twinkled with a mix of nervousness and excitement. "Is he okay?" she asked, her smile slightly trembling.

"I have no idea," Y/N replied, a playful smirk dancing on her lips. "I literally just got here. I figured I'd come see you first."

 Minju reached out and gently grabbed Y/N's forearm, her touch grounding and comforting. "You're the best," she whispered, gratitude filling her voice.

With a mischievous glint in her eye, Y/N leaned in closer to her best friend. "So, no cold feet, I hope?"

 Minju hesitated for a moment, her cheeks blushing with a hint of embarrassment. "You know," she began, "I thought I'd be a little more nervous, but really, I'm just excited."

"Good," Y/N replied, her smile genuine and reassuring.

Minju hesitated again, her words hanging in the air, "Did you…” she started before stopping herself.

Y/N raised an eyebrow, curious, "What?"

But Minju quickly dismissed her question. “Nevermind,” she shook her head, turning back to the mirror, gloved hands brushing against the fabric of her gown. But Y/N had always been able to read her like an open book.

"I didn't...” she started, “feel nervous, I mean.” She grabbed her friend’s veil, laying it properly. “But then again, it was just the two of us at the time” she carried on, a soft smile grazing her lips as she remembered the intimate ceremony of her own wedding. “You, on the other hand, have over three hundred people out there waiting, so some jitters would be understandable." Minju gave Y/N’s hand a squeeze, and the conversation settled.

Suddenly the dressing room door creaked open, revealing the imposing presence of Namjoon’s mother. Her demeanor, stern and strict, as per usual. "Mrs. Kim, it's so good to see you," Y/N greeted her respectfully.

The older woman glanced at her watch, her tone holding a hint of impatience. "It's good to see you too, Y/N. I see punctuality still isn't your strong suit."

 Y/N chuckled softly, not taking the comment to heart. "I'm afraid so."

Mrs. Kim turned her attention back to Minju, "You should go to the bridal suite. The rest of the wedding party is waiting."

 "Yes, ma'am," Y/N replied, her tone respectful, before turning back to her best friend. "Well,” she paused, “I'll see you on the other side." Minju couldn't help but roll her eyes, as she watched Y/N walk towards the exit, "don't trip." Y/N smirked, her eyes dancing with mischief.

 "Oh my god, I hate you so much," Minju replied in mock annoyance.

"Right, keep telling yourself that," Y/N said jokingly, brushing past Mrs. Kim as she made her way back towards the venue’s waiting area.

Y/N's entrance sent ripples of excitement through the room. She strutted into the space where the rest of the wedding party had gathered, and her eyes lit up as she saw the boys looking over at her. Each of them looked dashing in their tailored suits and polished dress shoes, the very embodiment of elegance. "Fancy seeing you here!" Y/N's voice rang out, filled with the joy of reunion. Warm smiles greeted her, and she was engulfed in a flurry of hugs and laughter.

"Well, it's about time," Namjoon, the groom and one of Y/N's dearest friends, quipped with a playful grin, breaking the hug with Y/N.

"Sorry, I was with the bride," Y/N replied with a mischievous glint in her eyes. "Maid of honor duty, you know how it goes."

 Namjoon's nervousness momentarily slipped through as he asked, "Is she okay?"

Y/N's reassurance was swift and heartfelt. "She's perfect," she replied warmly. Her eyes twinkled as she couldn't resist a tease. "And may I say, you look quite stunning, yourself, Namjoon." She playfully ruffled his nerves.

Eunhyuk, the wedding planner's assistant, strode towards the group with all the flair of a secret agent. His earpiece buzzed with activity, and a tablet clutched in his hand held the secrets to the day's events. "Alright, everybody," he declared, his gaze sweeping across the room as he mentally took attendance. "It's almost showtime, we-" a sudden realization struck him, causing a momentary pause. "Hold up a minute. Are we missing a groomsman?" he asked, sweat already making his forehead glisten. An air of perplexed impatience settled among the group.

"What the hell is he doing?" Jin muttered under his breath, casting a worried glance at his watch.

 "He's said he was on his way half an hour ago,” Taehyung stated, his brows furrowing with concern as he looked down at his phone.

Suddenly, the room seemed to hold its breath. But just as tension began to mount, the missing man burst into the room. His steps were slightly hurried, perhaps a bit out of breath, but he still managed to maintain his impeccable appearance in his well-fitted suit. "I'm here! I'm here!" Jungkook announced, his voice a mix of apology and relief.

 He wasted no time in hugging Namjoon quickly, who conveyed annoyance and relief simultaneously. "I know," he cut off Namjoon's impending scolding. "I'm sorry, Hyung, traffic was a nightmare." With those words, he excused himself to head inside the venue. "I'll be right back," he muttered.

As Jungkook moved away, no one could help but notice someone walking by Jungkook’s side. An awkward silence descended upon the group.

"So," Y/N spoke up, her expression blank as they all observed the unfolding scene; a lovely young woman being gently guided to one of the pews by none other than her ex-husband. "Jungkook brought a date."
