“Hey… uhm… I’m sorry. I’m not sure where to start because I’ve been the worst friend to ya for the past weeks. But I want to start with an apology, I guess… yer probably tired of hearing it, right? … it’s something I’ll never gonna be proud of, my pettiness, I mean… but yeah… I’m sorry, YN. I hope ya believe me when I say yer impo–”
Beep! You sighed, ending yet another voicemail from Atsumu. It’s been almost a week since you and your brother moved out of the apartment and ever since the day after that, your soulmate has yet to cease dropping more than three voicemails every single day.
It wasn’t that you haven’t caught sight of him at school; in fact, you see him everywhere. It’s just so happens that you couldn’t help but avoid him like a plaque. You think he knows it though and you’re actually glad that he’s trying to respect your space (except for the endless ringing of your phone which only gets sent straight to voicemail every time, much like today). Which is why right now, you only stared at his contact, contemplating whether you will entertain his ‘apology.’ He sounds like he regrets it, after all and the fact that you only have less than 10 days before your flight wasn’t helping the situation.
“You know, if you keep having a soft heart like that, I’m betting a hundred bucks you won’t get too far once you become a famous writer. A lot of people will take advantage of you, you know. And don’t even get me started with those haters that disguise themselves as critiques,” Speaking of the devil, Kiyoomi suddenly spoke up, his figure leaning against the doorway of your room, much like the pose your father had when you were leaving your previous apartment.
Hundred bucks, you begin to think, where the hell would your jobless ass get a hundred bucks? You won’t tell him that verbally, of course; you value your life too much to even risk being strangled by your brother’s own hands.
“What do you mean soft heart? Where’d you even get the idea that I’m going to talk to him, doofus!? No way, he needs to learn his lesson,” You huffed, turning to him with an eyebrow raised, as if challenging him. He scoffed, entering your room, and sitting on your bed. You were kind of surprised he did given that your room was still messy as hell; but once again, you opted to keeping your mouth shut.
“It’s written all over your face, dear sister. Plus, you’ve said that a million times already I’m actually tired of hearing it now. After all these years, you think I don’t memorize every habit you have?” He replied, hands taking some of the clothes that were still stored in a brown carton and beginning to fold them neatly before standing up and putting it into your closet. He really does take after your father, from appearances to characteristics, “Your eyes, they speak to me the loudest, telling me every bit of your feelings. In fact, I’m kind of puzzled Atsumu never found out through them. But then again, it just supports the truth that he’s as dumb as he could get.”
This boy doesn’t really miss a chance to voice out his disfavor for your soulmate, huh? You wonder what is it that made him dislike… no, wait dislike was an underestimation… rather, loath Atsumu to the core. Bad first impression? No, your brother was not that petty. Did they have a fight you never knew about? If Atsumu and him ever fought, you were sure as hell you’d be the first one to know, seeing as your best friend practically whines and complains at you at every single thing in his life… so why?
“He hurt you and not just once. It’s not supposed to be my business but technically speaking, you are my sister before you were his soulmate and that’s all I needed to dislike him,” said Kiyoomi, continuing to fold your clothes as if what he said was practically nothing. Was he a mind-reader? You don’t know but perhaps, you could try to convince him to start up a fortune-telling business with you and earn millions.
“… You’re so creepy, ‘Yoomi,” You spoke up after a few moments of silence while he sneered, obviously not pleased with your comical reply, “Forget it! God, it’s so hard to have a serious talk with you.”
You only pursed your lips before bursting out into laughter, making him glare at you before his eyes softened. He hasn’t heard that pure laughter in a long time, after all. For some odd reason, he is proud that it was him that made you happy again like that, even for just a short while. After watching you work on something he doesn’t really know what, probably for the play, (it’s a relief you still have a smile on your face while you were on it though), he stands up, stopping by the doorway again when he heard you speak, “Thanks for being there, ‘Yoomi. Can’t imagine my life without my best brother.”
Kiyoomi knows he’s far from being the best brother in the world; he wasn’t expressive, sweet nor overprotective… but hearing those words from you means he’s at least good and somehow, he’s fine with that. He remains quiet before saying, “You know, your friend Hajime, I think he’s nice.”
He doesn’t say anything more, but he knows that his words reached you; he didn’t miss the way you blushed, after all. He takes note of making you flustered more often.
Tumblr media
Osamu grumbles under his breath in annoyance, clenching then unclenching his hands as he watched Yui cling onto his brother’s arm like there was no tomorrow. Doesn’t this girl have any decency left in her blood? They were in the public cafeteria of the university, good heavens! And they haven’t even officially became soulmates AND a couple.
The last thing he wanted on his agenda today was to become a third wheel, much less to his brother; and the fact that it’s not even with you, the true soulmate, his favorite Sakusa (he won’t let Kiyoomi know that though), and best drinking buddy, makes it more unbearable for the gray-haired lad. He could only scowl so hard at his twin, who on the other hand, remained unmoved. At least that’s what Osamu sees but unbeknownst to him, Atsumu just wishes he could go and find you as soon as possible.
He has had enough of you averting your gaze each time you catch each other’s eyes at the theater room. According to his brother, your flight is in ten days which means he only had a few more days to make your friendship right; to make it up to you and prove that you are, indeed, an important figure in his life (cue Osamu’s mocking last night when they talked: “HAH!? You sure do have a peculiar way of showing her that she’s important. You’re making me want to laugh and choke you at the same time.”)
“Oh! Iwaizumi-kun, Tooru and… Sakusa YN?” Yui trails off, making the blonde perk up at the sound of your name, turning his body quickly only to find you already looking back at them with… disappointed eyes? As quickly as it came, it disappeared and soon, you were smiling and waving at Osamu, completely ignoring your “best” friend. Atsumu can only stare at you in disbelief; never, not even once, had you disregarded his existence like that before. Even when you had small arguments, you made sure to acknowledge him with a simple nod.
In addition to your indifference, Hajime only furrowed his eyebrows in confusion at Yui’s greeting, as if he doesn’t know Yui at all, not even as an acquaintance. Hence, the three of you only proceeded to the table Makki, Mattsun and your brother saved for you.
“Eh? Iwaizumi… ignored me?” Yui frowned, obviously not used to being disregarded by the boy who used to give her a greeting every time they come across each other. As far as she could remember, they ended their bond in good terms, without anyone having to feel angry at the other so why is it that he acted that way? Did he hold a grudge after all?
Meanwhile, Atsumu gazed into nothing, your sad eyes flashing into his mind and staying there. Have you given up on him already? Did his nightmare that day actually came true? His trail of thoughts was cut off with Osamu’s voice speaking with amusement plastered on his face, “ooh, a taste of his own medicine, huh YN?”
He smirks, finding his brother’s suffering oddly satisfying. He too, like Kiyoomi, has his limits as to Atsumu’s undesired talent of hurting you (he knows the blonde was also suffering but you know, it just really gets on his nerves how blind his twin could get). So right after saying that, he stands up, picking up his tray that holds his food and beginning to walk where your table was.
“Samu! Where are you going?” The said lad looks back at his blonde twin weirdly before shrugging, “YN and Kiyoomi’s table, where else? You can’t expect me to stay on the table with you two, it’s weird.”
Tumblr media
“So… you really can’t remember anything about your soulmate? Like who it is or something?” Oikawa asked, staring at Hajime’s hands, as if he’d be able to see anything on his pinky. Unfortunately for him, the ex-captain was not given the ability to be a Moira so he wouldn’t be able to see any changes no matter how long or hard he looks. The spiky-haired lad merely groans, feeling a headache coming due to his dear friend’s pestering, “Yes. I told you that already. I just woke up, saw my thread black and now, I can’t remember anything about who it is.”
“But you can remember us? It’s just the soulmate stuff you forgot?”
“Well, I’m talking to you right now, am I not, you dumbass?” Hajime snarled; an inch close to punching his best friend in the face. Beside him, you look down, feeling the sadness and heartbreak for him because even those feelings were lost the moment he woke up. If you let go of Atsumu, will this also happen to you? You can only give a pathetic laugh at your silly question; of course, it will. You weren’t some kind of special Moira that will be exempted from that ‘curse.’ But you wonder, how would he react? Would he be sad? Or would he just forget about you too and just throw everything you had away? It seems so easy for him to do that, after all.
Now that you witness what’s gonna happen upon cutting the thread, a part of you somehow wishes you should’ve just told him when it was still early, when you were still young and problem-free. Maybe he would’ve given you a promise like those in the movies wherein he says he would marry you once you get older. Maybe he would’ve been able to love you if you could’ve just given him a chance to do so. But it’s your fault, isn’t it? Because you were a coward; you were so greedy for true love that you can no longer have it, you think to yourself.
In the midst of your rather negative thoughts, a warm hand pulls you away from mentally beating up yourself further. Looking up, you find Hajime looking at you with soft eyes, as if assuring your heart that: “You’ll be fine. I’m here. I’ll keep you safe.”
Maybe… just maybe, the universe has given you another chance for true love.

花吐き病 - Part 1 – The Beginnings of Cherry Blossom
- Hajime Iwaizumi x Fem!Reader
- Masterlist
- Warnings: Angst, minor character death, swearing,
- Summary: Iwaizumi and Oikawa had been your friends since childhood. Sure you had feelings for Iwa-chan, but they wouldn't be the death of you, right?
———————
I'm not her. I wish I were, maybe then it wouldn't be so painful.
The sky was grey, overcast, and dreary as you stared across the courtyard. You saw some of your friends huddled under the bike shed to avoid the rain, but you were already caught right in the middle of the downpour. It was cold, a chill running through you as you trudged towards the entrance of your school, white shirt almost completely transparent now. This is exactly what you needed on your first day of senior year.
"Oi y/n, you're gonna get sick." He said throwing his jacket over your shaking shoulders and pulling you under his umbrella. "You're an idiot, you know that right?" You nodded silently. Words were always hard when it came to him. You dared to look up at him, his eyes cold and jaw tight. You thought he was mad until a smirk crawled across his face. "Enjoying the view?" You flushed, darting your eyes back to the ground while he chuckled softly above you. His hand guided you forwards as your legs grew still next to him. “Hurry it or I’ll leave you out here in the rain.” He barked out, causing you to rush to be beside him again. He was warm and smelled of cinnamon and birthday cake. All your friends would snicker whenever you said something like that, but it was true to you, the only way to describe Iwaizumi correctly, as abstract as it was. His hair was dark like the bark of an oak tree, hands calloused but firm against your back, pushing you ever forwards. You had kissed him once at a party in middle school. His lips were soft, movements strong at first before the boys started to poke fun at the two of you. He grew hesitant and eventually pulled away, leaving you stunned and flustered. It was a stupid dare he said as he wiped his mouth and smiled at the boys, but to you it meant everything. He tasted of sunlight and summer; a warm, buzzing feeling spreading through your chest, intoxicating you. Now you know, that was when it took root.
Iwaizumi ushered you to the nurse’s office, telling her you had been caught in the dreadful rain and she took you in without hesitation. Iwaizumi left with a silent nod in your direction as the nurse instructed you to undress and swap into some dry clothes, she had some spare and laid them on the bed for you before pulling the curtains shut. You did as you were told, undressing, and handing her your wet clothes. His jacket hung loosely across the back of the chair you had placed it on, but you enjoyed it being there. Iwaizumi always looked after you, and had done so ever since your mother passed three years ago, but he was a good friend to you even before all that. Your father had told you about your mother’s death over dinner, rather callously, saying that she had not been strong enough to survive the operation. You excused yourself from the table and ran all the way to Iwaizumi's house without shedding a single tear. His father opened the door, welcoming you in with a smile and shouting for Iwaizumi to come down and say hello. You silently followed him up the stairs, the news hadn’t reached them yet, so he was absentmindedly mumbling about some new move he learnt at practise that day. He kicked his bedroom door open and motioned for you to sit down. His room was messy, clothes scattered around the floor and dirty plates stacked on his desk. He caught your eyes and pulled you into his chest. “What’s wrong? You’re not okay.” That’s when you broke down, allowing yourself to finally cry for your loss. You felt all that pain, and he was right there with you through it all.
“Hey? You okay darling?” You blinked, not realising you’d been staring at the jacket.
“Y-yeah, just cold.” The nurse nodded and closed the curtain again to give you your privacy back while she went to turn up the radiator. You pulled the scratchy grey jumper over your head and shimmied into the black skirt she’d left on the bed for you before finally putting his jacket back on your shoulders. It was warm, Iwaizumi had brought it when you two went shopping a year ago, saying he looked like a shoujo-romance-manga-guy. You’d scoffed at the time, but you couldn’t help the fluttering of your heart. Your chest was aching as you watched him observe himself in the changing room mirrors, seeing him fix his hair and smile stupidly at his reflection. He was beaming when you shot him a weak smile back, exclaiming that this was the jacket he was gonna buy. You’d tried to remind him that it was more than he had said he’d wanted to spend but he dismissed you by saying that if you liked it, it was worth the extra money.
“Thank you for the spare uniform, I’m gonna head to class now. I’ll be back for my clothes at the end of the day if they’re not dry beforehand.”
“Okay darling, just be careful now, and don’t go back out into the rain without an umbrella!” She was smiling at you, but her tone was laced with worry as you rushed out of the little office.
The class had begun as you pulled back the door.
“Nice to finally see you today.”
“Sorry I’m late-“
“Miss, Iwa-chan did tell you that he took y/n to the nurse’s office.” Oikawa said as he waved at you. You smiled softly at him, and the teacher muttered something about rudeness or tardiness. You took no mind as you rushed to your seat beside the setter.
“So, see-through shirt trick hey?” He nudged you with his elbow and you flicked his forehead.
“More like I didn’t look at the weather forecast and left my umbrella and coat at home today. No trick. I don’t even think there is a trick that would get him to notice me.” You dropped your head onto your desk and heard a sigh leave the boy next to you.
“You never know until you try!” His sing-song lilt always annoyed the hell out of you.
“I can’t even speak to him, let alone pull off flirting with him.” You sneered back as Oikawa chuckled softly beside you.
“Well, you better figure it out fast. I hear she’s gonna confess to him today under the cherry blossom tree in the school garden.” The emphasis was apparent, and the word dripped with disdain as it left his lips. Oikawa hated Aoi almost as much as you did, but the two of you seemed to be the only one’s immune to her charms – sadly, that included Iwaizumi.
“It’s only a rumour, so you may be lucky. But I wouldn’t count on it sadly.” You lifted your head to meet his gaze. He was staring at you so intently, looking for any sign of distress in your face, but he didn’t find any. You were good at hiding your feelings.
“Good for her, I just hope she’s good to him.” You forced a smile, sitting up and finally paying attention to the teacher and the grammar lesson she was attempting to teach.
Oikawa continued to try to get your attention all morning, but you ignored him, opting to throw yourself into boring lesson after boring lesson, pretending to be okay with the idea of Iwaizumi falling for anyone but you. Your chest ached, lungs burnt, but you just pushed all the pain down and faked a smile, answering any questions thrown your way easily. He threw paper at you; pens poked your sides making you yelp and have to fake sneezes to cover the sounds.
“Fucking stop it Toru.”
“Oh, first name? I must be in trouble.” He smirked, throwing more paper your way while the teacher’s back was turned.
“You are. I’m so gonna kill you for this.”
“Then admit you’re upset.” You rolled your eyes at him.
“I’m not upset. Iwa-chan isn’t mine to be possessive over.” Your chest ached at this admission, your body reacting to the idea of losing something that was never quite yours to begin with. Oikawa raised his eyebrow at you quizzically.
“That’s such a lie.”
“No, it’s not. He is free to date whoever he wants.” Your chest didn’t seem to agree, the tightness growing and your lungs burning. “And so am I.” You beamed at the setter, seemingly unfazed but he didn’t buy it.
“Like you would date anyone else.”
“I could!”
“Could not.”
“Could so!”
“Could-“ There was a loud bang as the board eraser collided with Oikawa’s shoulder, covering you both in a cloud of chalk dust. You recoiled, spluttering, and gasping for air.
“If you two are quite finished arguing in my lesson!” The teacher shouted. Oikawa protested for a moment, before the threat of another eraser being thrown at his head this time shut him up for good. Finally, some peace and quiet before lunch.
Oikawa’s girls had always hated you, but now they were easily planning your death, figuring out how to make it look like an accident. He had followed you at the start of lunch like a lost puppy. You headed to your usual area bento in hand, towards the bench beside the volleyball gym, and when you went to sit down he grabbed you and pulled you onto his lap. That’s how you ended up like this, with Iwaizumi looking very uncomfortable sitting next to you two.
“So, this is new.”
“Oh, this? Nah, you just never see this side of y/n.” Oikawa teased, wiggling his eyebrows as he placed his hands on your hips. You yelped and glared at the brunette underneath you.
“O-Oikawa…” You stuttered out, obviously uncomfortable with the whole situation. You turned to look at him, your face red and body shaking softly.
“Aww y/n! Don’t be like that! You love sitting on my lap, don’t you? You love it when we’re alone at least.” Oikawa purred into your ear, but obviously loud enough for Iwaizumi to hear.
“Okay shitty-kawa, leave the poor girl alone.” He said, wrapping his hand around your arm and pulling you off of the brunette and onto the bench beside him.
“Aw, you’re such a buzz kill.” Oikawa poked his tongue out, pulling his eyelid as well and Iwaizumi just rolled his eyes.
“Shut up dipshit.” He said laughing softly. It was a nice noise.
“You would think after ten years of us, she’d get bored you know?”
“Oh yeah, all your other girls ran off within a few months max.” Oikawa threw a bit of his omelette at Iwaizumi, narrowly missing his friend. They shared a laugh across you, the sounds already calming you.
“You’d think you’d stop getting handsy with y/n after she so obviously turned you down last year.” Iwaizumi teased.
“Hey! She didn’t turn me down. We agreed we would be better as friends – mutually!” Oikawa pouted as you stifled a giggle. Iwaizumi glanced down at you, a smile spreading across his face when he saw you fully relaxed again. This was how you loved spending time with the two of them, just joking around and having fun. It wasn’t long before you were all separated again and had to rush off to class for the afternoon. But soon you’d be able to watch them practise after school like always, and that was the highlight of your day.
He was late. Iwaizumi was never late, but here it was 20 minutes into practice, and he wasn’t there. You had checked the changing rooms, running field, even his classrooms, but he wasn’t anywhere. You walked slowly back to the gym through the gardens, thinking about calling him, when you heard it.
“I like you. I like like you, Iwaizumi.” Silence. You hid behind the stone wall in the garden, just out of sight of the pair.
“Aoi I-“
“You don’t need to answer me now, just tell me there’s no one else.”
“Look, I’ve told you I’m single-“
“But you haven’t told me if there’s anyone you like yet, Iwa-chan.” It sounded wrong coming from her, the nickname sickly sweet, almost heavy in your ears.
“Aoi, -“
“Tell me there’s a chance for me Iwa.” You could almost hear the pathetic fluttering of her eyelashes from your hiding place. He would never.
“There’s a chance. But I want to get to know you first, okay?”
That’s when you felt it for the first time. The clawing at the back of your throat. You rushed to the bathroom, gasping, and struggling for air as your chest tightened. Throwing open the bathroom stall you retched into the toilet bowl, eyes watering and body shivering. Then you saw them through the tears streaming down your cheeks. Cherry blossoms were lying in the toilet bowl. You coughed and spluttered, bringing up more of the pale pink petals. They fluttered momentarily, before hitting the water and settling. That’s when you knew you couldn’t ever love anyone else, and you couldn’t survive without Iwaizumi loving you back.

Your daily dose of angst
No one deserves to be second best. That’s something you learnt the hard way.
Pairings: Oikawa x f!reader & Iwaizumi x f!reader
WC: 1,769
Warnings: swearing, angst (with a little dose of fluff at the end :)
Tumblr media
You always wondered, even to this day, why Oikawa had chosen you in the first place. When asked what his ideal type was, Oikawa would laugh and say, “Someone who makes me look greater than I already am of course,” Cue Iwaizumi smacking him in the head.
“Mean Iwa-Chan! Fine, my ideal type would preferably be someone with fair hair, an adorable smile and a lovely ass to rest my head on. Oh, and she must also love milkbread.”
None of those boxes would be ticked for you unfortunately. Your hair was jet black and curtained part of your face, which only added to your supposedly mean aura. Your resting face was somewhat frightening and your smile could be described as Kageyama’s Cheshire Cat grin. Not to mention your ass was almost as non existent as Oikawa’s (oops), and you much preferred pork buns to milkbread.
Yet despite that, Oikawa had asked you out one humid Friday afternoon, exactly 7 months ago today. But you realised, maybe a bit too late, that a lot can happen in 7 months.
Oikawa of course, was infamous for having fangirls practically glued to his hip wherever he went. And dating you didn’t change that in the slightest. In fact, his fangirls, especially one in particular, seemed to go up and above their way to spend time with your boyfriend, even when you were inevitably stood by his side.
“As I was saying-” you began.
“Oikawa! I was just hoping to bump into you!” someone swatted you aside, your vision now platinum curls.
Reni. She practically threw herself onto Oikawa, bending over slightly so that he’s have a clear view of the lace panties underneath her unbelieveably short skirt.
“Oh hey Reni. What’s up?” Your boyfriend turned to face who you called his number one, entirely devoted, fangirl.
“So, about our History project, would it be too much trouble to ask for some help? I’ve been racking my brains trying to figure it all out, even sacrificing much required beauty sleep, but I’m still yet to make any progress. And seeing how you are quite the History whizz...”
“Of course Reni, you’re the first person who’s complimented me on my brains. When would you like to meet up?” It was almost a joke how YOUR boyfriend seemed to be spending more time with a girl who had nothing but the audacity, than his s/o herself. And History whizz your ass, everyone including Iwaizumi, who had overheard that particular part of the conversation as he passed and scoffed, knew that it would be a miracle if the teacher graded him on History at all.
“If you could, now would be a great time.” Reni fluttered her eyelashes which reminded you of rather hairy caterpillars.
“Well I’m not doing anything as of now, apart from talking to y/n, but I’m sure she wouldn’t mind. Right y/n?” Both pairs of eyes seemed to acknowledge you for the first time. You, the girlfriend, but at the same time you the thirdwheel, apparently.
“Well in fact I do mind but...” you hadn’t even managed to get out before Reni used her large boobs to push you out of the way.
“You see Oikawa, y/n doesn’t mind at all. So come on now, my books are in my dorm.”
And with that, she grabbed your boyfriend’s arm and dragged him down the hall in the direction of the girl’s dorms, Oikawa throwing a sheepish glance over his shoulder.
“We’ll resume our conversation in a bit y/n~”
Yeah right. You’d probably forget what you were even talking to him about by the time he came back from the spawn of Satan’s hellhole.
In the weeks that followed, you found every minute of your time alone with Oikawa accompanied by Reni. No matter where or what you were doing with your boyfriend, she always seemed to find an excuse to but it. And Oikawa was nevertheless, just as oblivious to Reni’s attempts to jump in his pants as he was to your blatant annoyance.
“But y/n you have to understand. Reni hurt her ankle yesterday during her cheerleading practise and being the kind friend I am, I had to help her make her way around school.” Your boyfriend attempted to reason with you, after you had pulled him behind the school gym where he was moments from entering. This was partially because you had desperately needed to confront him about how much time he seemed to be unnecessarily spending with Reni and also in an attempt to prevent the devil herself from seeking you guys, Oikawa specifically, out.
“No, I don’t have to understand. Reni dropped the sprained ankle act the moment she thought my back was turned. God you can be so blind sometimes.” You rubbed your eyes tiredly.
“y/n, now you’re just being unreasonable. You know I only ever spend time with Reni when she’s in need of my help. I’m simply doing what any decent friend would do.”
“Except she needs your help all the goddamn time. You could ask anyone, anyone, and they’ll tell you how Reni’s been crushing on you since way before we got together.”
“Yes, I know that, but she’s stopped liking me since I asked you out. y/n what’s so hard for you to understand?”
“Everything Oikawa, everything is so hard to understand. And yet I think you’re the one who doesn’t understand the most. Reni doesn’t ever need your help, she just wants it. And she wants it to the point where she’s willing to make up any crappy excuse to get alone with you. I’m starting to think you guys are the ones dating and I’m just the ‘friend’.”
“y/n you know that’s not true...”
“Do I know that? Do I? Because if I did, then I wouldn’t constantly need to be fighting for your attention knowing it’s always going to be a losing battle. Your there for Reni more than you’re there for me, and we’re the ones in a relationship. I’m not stopping you from seeing Reni because that would just be wrong on my behalf, but at least put some effort in Oikawa.”
“Put some effort in? Oh you must be fucking kidding me. You should be grateful I even asked you out in the first place instead of telling me to put some effort in. The difference between you and Reni is that she’s not a jealous and clingy bitch who can’t even handle her own partner from seeing his friends without kicking up a fight. I could easily dump you anyday y/n and yet I haven’t, so how about you put some effort in and stop being so fucking controlling.”
It seemed as if everything came to a standstill the moment those venomous words left his mouth. It made your eyes water and your heart clench, every syllable of ‘jealous’, every syllable of  ‘controlling’, stabbed your heart to the point you wondered if you’d ever be able to piece it back together.
Yet through the darkness a tiny flicker of light fought its way through. And that tiny flicker of light is what reminded you that not a single bit of this stupid argument was your fault. Blinking a few times, you forced yourself to bite back your tears that threatened to tumble, before clenching your fists to the point your knuckles turned white, and glowered up at your soon to be ex boyfriend.
“I lowered my fucking standards for you Tooru. Lowered my fucking standards to be with someone who only sees me as second best. Who’d rather let some  bitch with a skirt shorter than your hindsight to drag you around like a doll with no brains. All this time I could’ve been with someone who wouldn’t let their ‘friend’ control every minute of their life and completely disregard the fact that they were taken. Well lucky for you Tooru, Reni’s all yours now. She’s won, that bitch with the cockroach eyelashes has won. So now you can get the fuck out of my way because we’re over.”
And with that you shoved your way past your ex, stuffing your hands into the pockets of your blazer, your hair framing your face now slick with fresh tears.
It was his loss after all. His loss that he wasn’t able to decipher friendliness from flirtiness. Or maybe he didn’t want to. Maybe Oikawa knew ignoring his relationship status to spend time with someone who was quite blatantly ready to jump into his pants at any given opportunity was wrong. Maybe Oikawa knew he’d have you forever, he’d have you to come back to when everyone else left him for the same reason his last girlfriend did. Except this time he was wrong. He didn’t have you forever. And it was all his fault.
Deep down he knew you had every right to shove past him, he knew you had every right to be furious with him, yet admitting that would’ve been the last thing he’d do. So instead Oikawa just scoffed before heading in the opposite direction that you had disappeared in, and into the gym. Completely oblivious to the fact that his best friend had just heard the entire event go down.

You giggled as you let your boyfriend Iwaizumi drag you along the school halls. Similar to how you used to watch her do to him. Except in this point in time, you could honestly care less about_ them._ Now you had found yourself a perfect boyfriend who saw you as nothing but the best. He’d see through any girl’s lame attempts to buy themselves alone time with him and would certainly cherish every moment spent together. Hajime knew just how easy it was to let someone slip through your fingers when you took advantage of them just being there, after seeing the exact situation enravel in front of his best friend only a couple months ago.
“Babe are you even listening to me?”
God was her voice annoying.
“Babe.”
Oikawa sighed before finally glancing down at the girl who spent every second possible hanging off him like the school tie he wore.
“Hm Reni.” He zoned out the moment she began rambling on about God knows what. Probably something to do with how he seemed to have gained more fangirls or whatever. But he didn’t care. The only thing he cared about was you. You, who was currently skipping along with his best friend, happier than you’d ever been with him. You who was never like this. Never like Reni who was jealous, clingy and so fucking controlling.
Oh.
Tumblr media
a/n: We all know that both Oikawa and Iwaizumi would be the best boyfriends ever despite Oikawa being a piece of shit in this.😌

❝hajime iwaizumi: special content❞
Tumblr media
Being out at the fair since six in the afternoon tired Suna out. But it didn’t tire out Iwaizumi. In addition to Suna’s reason on tiring out, he had to deal with the person he despised the most. Tendou didn’t seem to care. His actions were being fueled by Iwaizumi finding interest in them.
When Suna left, he took Iwaizumi’s home keys and at the moment it didn’t seem like a problem. But now Iwaizumi found himself locked out his home. No entree guaranteed. He texted Suna, hoping he would answer.
Tumblr media
At the exact moment, Iwaizumi received a notification from Twitter. He grinned seeing that (Y/N) had tweeted something. Iwaizumi had his notifications on for her so he could be the first of the five to give a snarky remark. The grin dropped when he saw the contents of the tweet.
A picture of Aang and Katara from the comics. They held hands and at the top the numbers ‘9’ and ‘24’ followed by a heart with a bow through it. It was confirmed.
At the same time, the front door opened. Rintaro Suna with sleepy eyes glared at Iwaizumi.
“Can’t believe you made me get out of bed for this.” Suna lashed out.
“You mean my bed?” Iwaizumi cocked an eyebrow, trying to bring back his brute personality. Suna picked up on the quick shift change of mood. “Next time, bring a sleeping bag.”
“I don’t have the money for that... What’re you looking at?” Suna asked when Iwaizumi came into the house. Iwaizumi showed his phone off to him. “Oh... They finally made it official.”
“It must have happened just now.” He refreshed to see the piling responses and likes on (Y/N)’s tweet. He shut off his phone.
“Aren’t you going to say something?” Suna shut the door and trailed behind the Seijoh ace back to the room.
“Aren’t you?” Iwaizumi glanced over his shoulder enough to see Suna’s wide eyes that dropped down to the wooden floor. Iwaizumi slid his room door open. “Thought so. Plus I’m sure she’ll text in the group chat.”
Iwaizumi decided to sleep on the floor because “he refused to get the dumbass disease”. Iwaizumi enveloped himself in his sheets, laid on his stomach, and spent the night on his phone. It was twelve twenty in the morning. An hour and twenty minutes since (Y/N) and Ushijima made it official.
‘Aren’t you going to say something?’ Suna’s voice rang in his mind. It had also been an hour and twenty minutes since Iwaizumi told Suna she would say something in the group chat. He was proven wrong. Was she waiting? Did she plan to tell them tomorrow? Should he wait?
His fingers found themselves typing on the white keyboard.
Tumblr media
He felt his heart sink down his chest.

So I did the random word generator, and I got paper. And that made me think of paper airplanes. So, how about reader making a paper airplane and throwing it through the SDR2 Boys window, and inside the paper airplane is a love letter confessing reader’s feelings toward them.
T h a n k you for this bc I gotta practice writing the bois. I absolutely love writing these types of scenarios owo
..........
Teruteru
“Oh? What could this be~?” The chef noticed the paper airplane that appeared on the floor of his cottage, picking it up.
It was only then he noticed his partially opened window and chuckled. For him, it was easy to put two-and-two together.
“Ah, how cliche. Do I have a secret admirer on this island? Perhaps they wanna share all their secrets with me~?” The thoughts running through his mind almost made his nose bleed, though he managed to control himself as he unfolded the plane to read its contents.
And it turned out to be a simple love letter from you--short, sweet, and innocent. You even marked it with a heart at the bottom of the page.
Teruteru’s face became tomato-red as he clutched the letter to his chest, before hurrying out of his cottage and to the hotel restaurant, unable to contain his excitement any longer.
“I’m on my way, my new beloved~!!” He trilled, knowing you’d be waiting for him there.
...............
Gundham
“Huh..so this is what the mighty winds have carried into my domain.” Gundham mused as he looked at the paper airplane that somehow landed on his bed. He looked outside for a moment, wondering who could have sent it--but there was no one.
“A mysterious messenger, hm..what do you think, Cham-P?” He glanced at the large golden hamster on his shoulder, seeing his nod of approval. “Fuhaha! Then it’s decided! Now..let us see what this message entails.”
With a hum, he unfolded the note and read it thoroughly, gawking about halfway through it.
“...wh-what...this...is this...a-a proclamation of love?!” He tugged his scarf over his blushing face. “But..who could love such a....ah..” Then he reached the bottom of the note and saw it was none other than-
“[Y/n], but of course. There’s...a certain aura to them that..I can’t help but feel enchanted by,” he muttered to himself. “But I shall harden my heart until I know this proclamation is true, lest I turn out to be a blind fool..”
With that declaration, he got up and summoned the Dark Devas to his side, before venturing out of his cottage, clutching the note tightly.
............
Kazuichi
“AH!! I’VE BEEN AMBUSHED!!”
The scream made you stop in your tracks as you looked back, seeing the door fly open and a certain mechanic come rushing out.
“[Y/n]! Thank god you’re here!” His hands flew onto your shoulders. “I got hit by an object!! I-I think someone was tryna kill me!!”
‘Oh boy..’ You thought, realizing that your plan didn’t go accordingly. “Well, did you see what the object was?”
“N-No...but...what does it matter?!!”
“.....wouldn’t it help to find out what it was if you’re convinced it was attempted murder?”
“..that’s true. C’mon. I don’t wanna go back alone.” Kazuichi dragged you into his cottage, making sure he locked the door once inside. “It came through that window, hitting me in the back of the head....damn it. I just wanted fresh air and I can’t even get that!” Then he shut the window with a huff.
“Was it this?”
Looking back, he saw the paper airplane in your hand. “Yeah-!! Wait...a paper airplane? Seriously? That’s what attacked me?”
“I sent this.”
“...so YOU attacked me?!”
“I didn’t mean to!” You snapped, causing him to fall silent, before you unfolded it and handed it to him. “It’s a letter...for you. It’s got nothing to do with murder, I promise.”
He cautiously took the paper and read it, mumbling to himself. By the time he was done, his face became red. “[Y/n]...is this true?” He looked up at you with a toothy grin and stars in his eyes. “You like me??!!”
“Yeah..” You smiled back. “Though I was hesitant to send it since, y’know....you had eyes on Sonia-”
“Oh! Don’t worry, I only admire Miss Sonia from afar!” He explained. “As the princess she is, I only wanna respect and defend her. Nothing more! I-I’ve honestly...liked you for a while too. My bad for not reading this sooner.”
“It’s okay,” you chuckled. “At least I have my answer.”
...............
Fuyuhiko
“Sheesh, try not to poke my other eye out next time, okay?”
“Wh-Wha..” You spun around to see the Ultimate Yakuza, realizing he was clutching the note--that was once a paper airplane--in his hand. “Sorry, Fuyu..I had no idea where it would land so I uh...booked it. Kinda. How did you know-?”
“Saw you taking off before this even got into my room,” he explained. “I still got one good eye to keep a lookout for things.”
“..ah, I see..” You rubbed your neck awkwardly. “So um...you must’ve read it.”
“It’s laughably cliche, but...I...uh...d-do feel the same way as you..” Fuyuhiko mumbled the last part, but you could hear his confession clear as day, and your eyes lit up.
“R-Really? I mean...I...I wasn’t sure, since I know you’re still trying to move on from-”
“It’s okay.” He sighed, looking back at you. “It..hasn’t been easy, but..you were the first to forgive me after that trial. Even though...I acted like a total shithead to you when we first got here. Still feel kinda bad about it..”
Your racing heart eventually calmed itself, as you smiled gently and approached him. “It’s okay. If..you wanna make up for it, maybe we can..uh..hang out at the movie theater sometime today?”
“Tch, like a first date?” He chuckled. “Alright. I’m in.”
............
Nekomaru
“[Y/N]!!”
The booming voice made you nearly slam the mailbox door on your hand. You had a habit of checking it mornings and nights.
You whirled around to see Nekomaru rush over to you, a wide grin on his face as he clutched a certain note in his large hand. “I have received your confession letter and accept it wholeheartedly!!”
“R-Really?” You gawked. “Just like that..?”
“Of course!” He laughed. “Your method of delivery is unique! Very old-school. And clearly you’ve put all of your heart and soul into this letter. If I were to ever reject that hard work, my name wouldn’t be-!!”
“Nekomaru Nidai?” You chuckled, feeling calmer now that he was serious.
“See? You already know me better than I know myself!” The Ultimate Team Manager grinned as he hugged you to his chest. “Can you hear that? My heart is beating with great spirit and love!!”
“Yeah, I definitely hear it loud and clear.” Smiling, you hugged him back, happier than ever.
...............
Twogami
When Byakuya found a paper airplane on his desk, he didn’t know what to think at first.
This was childish at best--sneakily throwing it through the window and then taking off? If one of the others wanted to talk to him about something, then they should’ve just rang the doorbell.
Surely he wasn’t that intimidating of a leader...even if some didn’t like it.
But curiosity eventually won over everything else, and so he took the paper, realizing there was a message on it. “Hmm, very strange..” He hummed, opening it to read what it said.
And he swore his heart stopped, realizing this was a confession and the sender was....you?
Did you really think of him that way? Even though..he hasn’t fully told you the truth about his Ultimate?
And if he did, would you still send him something like this?
.............
Hajime
Hajime didn’t know why he woke up earlier before the morning announcement--until he noticed something right next to his face. “Huh..? What’s this?”
Sitting upright, he picked up the object. “Oh, a paper airplane. Haven’t seen one of these in forever.”
With a small chuckle, he unfolded it, having noticed letters on the inside of it--and also a red heart, oddly enough. He read the message written and...his heart began racing as he realized this was a love letter.
Even though he had his suspicions, he couldn’t believe someone on this island would love a talent-less person like himself.
Why?
As he read the sender’s name, Hajime jumped as he heard a knock on his door. He quickly stuffed the note under his pillow before going to answer it--seeing you on the other side.
“A-Ah..[y/n]..hi. Thank you for knocking..” He tried to play it cool, tugging on his shirt collar awkwardly, though you just smiled.
“I take it you read it already?”
“What? Oh! Uh..yeah..” The poor boy’s face grew redder by the second.
“I thought the paper airplane idea was too childish, so...I figured I’d come here and confess myself. But...seems I’m a little too late for that.” You chuckled nervously. “So....?”
“I-I don’t know what to say..” He admitted. “Why me? I’m the most ordinary out of everyone here.”
“Oh. Hajime.” With a small laugh, you took his hand into yours. “Because it’s you that I feel happiest around..all those times we’ve spent together..meant a lot. I had fun and I’d like to do more of them with you.”
“A-As..your boyfriend you mean?” Hajime gulped, smiling as he tried retaining his composure. “Sure. I’d..love to do that.”
............
Nagito
“Heh..I never would’ve guessed a nobody like me was at the center of someone’s heart..”
“Uh, I’m right here, Nagito.”
“Oh I know.” The white-haired male chuckled as he spun around on his heel, facing you. He looked down at the love letter you had cleverly disguised as a paper airplane. “But..come to think of it..Mikan’s words had me a bit...crushed..”
You tilted your head, remembering the third trial. “You mean, when she said-?”
“That I had nobody who loved me? Well, it seems she was wrong about that.” His smile seemed to stretch wider as he put the letter in his pocket. “I guess I can’t call myself a stepping stone anymore..now that I have a new purpose--one that fills me with a much greater hope!” He wheezed out a small laugh.
While his laughter usually unnerved the other students, you could only smile and feel your heart grow warmer whenever you heard it.
“Yes, yes..perhaps this was the love she was talking about.” Nagito put a hand to his chest. “But this love wasn’t born from despair.”
“Nah, that’s just a twisted sense of love.” You reached out to take his other hand into yours, bringing him slightly closer to you. “This is real, genuine love.”
His face became a bit flushed, though it wasn’t from the despair disease, but from the simple realization that..
He was lucky enough to be loved.
..........
Izuru
“So, instead of talking to me, you sent this.”
“Oh!” You turned around to see the “Ultimate Hope” standing before. There was an open note in his hand that you tried to deliver to his room in the form of a paper airplane.
The keyword is “tried”, as he was quick to call out to you before you had the chance to run away. So you felt embarrassed, especially as he skimmed over your letter.
After a long and awkward silence, Izuru finally looked up at you. His face remained blank, though you could tell he was curious about your message.
“Yep, that’s my uh..confession.” With a sigh, you approached him calmly. “I know..love is something foreign to you, but...I figured I’d take my chances. Even if the world’s gone to shit, I had to at least get this off my chest. And before you ask...no, it’s not because of your talents.”
“....I see.” He muttered, his gaze returning to the letter. “You understand what I am and what I’ve done, and yet...huh...?” Then he put a hand to his chest, stunned for a moment as he felt his heartbeat slightly quicken.
Wait..
His heart?
What was happening to him?
What is this?
“Huh, they might’ve suppressed your old feelings. But..not all of them, it seems.”
He wasn’t sure what to say to that exactly.
This was something he definitely couldn’t have predicted.

Truth or Dare
(Hajime Hinata x Fem! Reader)
(If you don’t identify as feminine in any way just ignore all the parts that depict the reader that way! I want everyone to be able to enjoy this story!)
‼️TW-Mentions of Alcohol‼️
You and Hajime Hinata have been best friends for as long as you can remember. Ever since you two were young you were inseparable. It all started in first grade when you noticed that he was alone at recess, you being the outgoing and social person you are, felt it was your duty to include him in whatever you were doing at the time.
“HEY! Why are you sitting by yourself?” You asked curiously. “O-oh um... I just like to be alone I guess...” Hajime replied. “Well not anymore ya don’t! You’re gonna play hide and seek with us!!!” You said rather directly as you grabbed him by the arm and brought him to your friends.
Since that day, Hajime started to become one of your best friends, you went to each other’s birthday parties, you always sat by each other at lunch, and you always made him join you in your make-believe games at recess. You two were two peas in a pod, no one could mention your name without bringing up Hajime’s and vice versa.
All was going well until high school hit, you and Hajime were still really good friends however, you had developed a massive crush on him. You loved how awkward he was as you found it so cute, and every time you were with him, it took everything in you to hide the blush on your face.
You wanted nothing more than to confess your true feelings to him, but you just couldn’t find the courage to do so, and you had never confided in anyone of your feelings for him either, so that made it even more difficult as you were basically carrying this huge weight on your shoulders alone.
All of that changed starting with Mahiru’s birthday party, she had invited all the girls in your class to her house for a party. You were all having a good time, you even snuck off with Ibuki at one point to drink some peppermint schnapps in the backyard, you didn’t normally drink, but you figured while you were at a party you might as well have a little fun.
As the night carried on, Hiyoko suggested that you all play some party games. “LET’S PLAY TRUTH OR DARE!!!” Hiyoko said enthusiastically. “O-oh w-well I don’t know if I’m comfortable playing that... I have some bad memories.” Mikan said timidly. “No one asked you pig-breath!” Hiyoko said in response. “I’M SORRY! IT WON’T HAPPEN AGAIN!” Mikan replied.
The game of truth or dare was pretty entertaining, Akane admitted that she was scared of snails, Hiyoko prank called a bunch of random guys from school, Mahiru even kissed Peko at one point. After Sonia finished her dare, which was to jump off Mahiru’s second story balcony into her pool, she looked at you and asked the question. “Y/N, truth or dare?”
You looked at her and said “Truth please!” It took Sonia a second to think about what she was going to ask you when it hit her. “Are you interested in anyone right now? And if so, who?” “OOOOOOOOOHHH SHIT’S ABOUT TO GET JUICY!!!” Akane said as she scooted closer towards you. All the girls eyes were on you. You hesitated for a moment but then decided that in spirit of the game, you would answer honestly.
“H-Hajime...” You said quietly. “WHATWHATWHATWHATWHAAAAT??!!!” Ibuki said loudly. “OH MY GOD I KNEW IT!!!” Hiyoko yelled. “I ship it.” Chiaki said quietly. All the girls were gushing over your feelings for Hajime and giving you their support. “You gonna go for it Y/N?” Mahiru asked. “I want to, but I’m really nervous.” You responded.
That seemed to be the end of the situation for now. You had to go home early because you had a project due the next day, leaving the rest of the girls there to chat amongst themselves.
“I still can’t believe she likes Hajime... well, I can, but I never saw Y/N as someone to hold romantic feelings towards someone...” Chiaki said. “Well, I think we should help her out! Whaddya say girls?” Ibuki said. All the girls nodded in agreement to Ibuki’s suggestion. “I’m quite fond of this idea, but how are we going to go about helping her?” Peko asked. “Okay, here’s the plan.” Ibuki began to explain her plan to the rest of the girls, unbeknownst to you.
The rest of the week went by as normal, you hung out with Hajime a lot, and still couldn’t get the feelings out of your head. The weekend came by and you got a text from Akane.
“YO Y/N!!! the girls and i want to know if you wanted to go out with us this weekend??? teruteru hooked us up with a sweet discount for some fancy ass restaurant he’s managing right now”
“Sure Akane! Just text me the deets when you can.”
“bet”
The day came when you and the girls were supposed to be going to the restaurant, you did your hair and makeup and put on a rather nice outfit. You said good-bye to your parents and drove off to the restaurant.
When you arrived, the host of the restaurant asked for your name. “Wow, this restaurant really is fancy huh?” You thought to yourself.
“My name is Y/N L/N.”
The host looked at his reservations list for a moment before responding. “Ah yes, Y/N L/N, follow me.” You followed the host to a small table. “Huh? But there are supposed to be eight other people here.” You told him. “Nonono, there’s only one other person reserved for this table today.” The host replied. “Did they all bail on me? Weird.” You thought to yourself as you took your seat.
A couple minutes went by as you saw someone walk up to the table with you, it was none other than your best friend and crush Hajime Hinata.
“H-Hajime? What are you doing here?” You asked him. “What are you talking about Y/N, you’re the one who asked me out on a date.” Hajime said in response. You were confused, but you realized very quickly that the girls set you two up on a date. You decided you would try to play along.
“W-well yeah, but I didn’t expect you to actually show up...” You said to him. “Why wouldn’t I show up? You’re the only person I would ever say yes to for something like this.” Hajime said.
“W-what?” You asked him, clearly confused. “Y/N, what I suppose I’m trying to say is... I love you.”
You were at a loss for words. You didn’t know what the hell was going on. Were you in the twilight zone? You looked up at Hajime, who looked right back down at you. You were frozen for a second, until Hajime spoke up.
“Y/N, d-do you mind if I... um... if I ki-“ You interrupted him by getting up out of your chair and giving him a passionate kiss on the lips. Hajime melted into it as he wrapped his arms around you. You didn’t even notice the window a few feet from the table that connected to the kitchen, where all your friends were watching you and Hajime’s exchange.
“YES OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD IT’S HAPPENING!!!” Akane screamed. “Ibuki KNEW her master plan would work! YOU OWE IBUKI 20 BUCKS HIYOKO!!!” Ibuki shouted. “Dammit!” Hiyoko said as she handed Ibuki a 20 dollar bill.
THE END.

DR2 Boys as Monsters with a Human S/o Part 3
Wooh! I’m finally back writing and I had a ton of fun with this request if I’m entirely honest, especially since I had an idea on how to include Izuru as a fun bonus! I hope that you’ll all enjoy it as much as I did and expect for me to flesh out the lore with how Izuru and Hajime are tied together more in AO3 once we start uploding our more intricate Monster Au there!
Tumblr media
Part 3 (Part 1 here) (Part 2 here)
Fuyuhiko (Dragon)
Just as another day starts, it just as suddenly ends in the same manner with a few customers streaming into the bakery just before the day came to an end.
In the same manner, as you had grown accustomed to, entered the usual straggler that bought up all of your sweets that didn't sell, standing tall despite his small frame.
Approaching the glass and peering in like a child at the zoo, he still kept that same tough look on his face as he spoke up, his boyish voice giving an order more than a request.
"Give me everything you haven't sold today."
His eyes the hue of new spring growth with a goldish tint, don't bother to meet yours other than for that fleeting moment when they flick up to meet your gaze.
If you weren't used to him already, you would've assumed that he's quite a rude or shady guy but despite the fact that he always came bundled up in trenchcoat and other accessories to hide the shape of his figure he never caused even a stir in the bakery.
He always took your remaining sweets off of your hands at the very end of the night only to show up the next day and repeat the process.
Nodding you simply begin to carefully package the treats and begin to calculate the total while those same eyes from before followed your every move.
It was a bit funny to see such a tough-sounding guy always buying all of your sweets but you knew better than to voice that as you proceeded to relay the price of his goodies to him in the usual manner.
Like usual he pulled out some money from the pocket of his trenchcoat and places in your hands with his own gloved ones before telling you to, "Keep the change," and disappearing.
Normally you would leave around this time, that was what was typical but with your usual latecomer leaving you with nothing for the Holidays coming up you had no choice but to stay late to work on some fresh treats for the coming weekend.
It was going to be a long night, you thought as you got down to work.
After hours of baking and mixing and pouring you were going to call for a break when a strange golden light seeped in from the back window in the kitchen, piquing your curiosity.
The light seemed to be coming from the nearby forest, not too far but far enough behind all the greenery and trees that you had to draw closer to make out what it was.
There stood your usual latecomer, the straggler in the trenchcoat now shedding his disguise as he revealed his body to be covered in beautiful golden scales with a pair of wings and a tail to match.
You hadn't meant to stare, you knew it was none of your business what species your customers were but before you could attempt to turn back it seemed that he had caught onto your whereabouts.
Growling out in a way that made his sharp teeth visible even in the dead of night, he turns to you, his small form morphing into a much larger one as he reveals his true form to you.
"Don't scream!" He says, picking you up in his mouth with his discarded clothes as he lifts off into the sky.
As much as you wanted to scream, you could feel the fight leave your body as you were lifted off the ground and high into the sky.
This couldn't be happening! Your usual was a dragon, a literal gold dragon! There was no mistaking that this wasn't a dream with his gentle hold on you as you two flew but you didn't know if you wanted it to be real.
By the time this inner turmoil began to swirl about like a raging riptide it was already far too late. As suddenly as you had been lifted off the ground you were soon gently placed on it again, feelings your legs shake as they relished the feeling of solid ground to stand upon.
Now it was time for your captor to return to his previous humanesque form throwing on the trenchcoat once again, this time leaving it open enough for you to see his body underneath still.
Once you took it all in, he had placed you before a traditional-style Japanese house, the type you had only seen on rare occasions with its size when he spoke up, those same golden-green eyes gazing upon you.
"All right, I'll get down to business, how much do you want to keep your mouth shut?"
Huh? That's what he wanted to talk about, he wasn't going to kill you? To your obvious confusion, all he could do was smirk. It wasn't a playful kind of smirk though, let alone even a snarky one. The kind of expression he gave off felt dangerous as though he was trying to convey that refusing to comply would make it useless for him to have brought you this far.
"I'm not bribing you to be nice, Human. I know you've realized what I am and who I am, anyone would know by the scales that I'm the head of the Kuzuryuu Clan after all and as easy as it could be to kill you, I don't want to lose my source for my horde. Either, you accept my money or you disappear. Those are the only options you get!"
Despite his overly malicious sounding tone, his eyes bore into yours and for a moment you felt as you saw more than a dragon and Yakuza head threatening you.
In his eyes you saw a piece of who he really was, he was like a child begging you to have another cookie. He was vulnerable because of the simple knowledge that he liked sweets and even if you technically had no choice other than to allow him that, you wanted to.
In that moment your answer was clear, you'd allow him, the head of the Kuzuryuu clan to bribe you for your silence so that he could continue to indulge himself with your sweets.
That was what began your new-found "comradery" with Fuyuhiko. Now he was not only your usual latecomer in a trenchcoat, now he was the Golden Dragon that bought all your sweets and ate a portion of his spoils in the safety of your bakery after hours.
At least he was for months on end that is. However, after eating and talking with you over his sweets in the bakery so many times he seemed to be not as fond of the setting as he asked you to come with him to the same house he had taken you to before.
He had respected your wishes not to fly, saying something along the lines of that It's "not like he gives a damn" as he waited for your arrival.
As impatiently as ever, he wouldn't waste a moment once you did, dragging you off to a room to show you an impressive horde of all kinds of gems and gold and other treasures.
"So, you think this is my horde right?"
He asks with bated breathe as his eyes scan yours searching for something as though he knew there was something for him to find, but at your affirmation those same eyes seemed to soften as he let out a deep sigh.
"Well, you're fucking wrong! None of this is my horde, it's just for appearances for the clan. My real horde, my treasures...I actually wanted to share them with you but you have to swear not to tell anyone about this! You have to or else I really will kill you!"
He grumbles out, seeming more embarrassed than actually hostile as he waits for you to agree once more before pulling you into a hidden side room.
Upon first glance, it didn't seem to be anything special but as soon as your eyes focused in on the giant stash of sweets you knew. These were all the sweets that you had been baking lately, most of his leftovers from the nights he visited.
But why did he want to give a piece to you of all people? You knew you had gotten close and you did have feelings for him after getting to see the more intimate parts of him that you got glimpses of but if this was some kind of custom it surely was lost on you.
All you could manage to do was to thank him as he handed you a fried doughnut with some kind of childlike anticipation.
"What the fuck do you mean thank-" he stops to pinch the bridge of his nose, as though to cut himself off purposely before continuing-"You really don't know what this means do you?"
Reluctantly biting into the doughnut you nod again, waiting for him to explain, a light dusting of red coating his cheeks as much as the powdered sugar on your doughnut.
"It means, I...I want to be mates, you idiot."
Hajime (Alien)
Although you were planning on having a quiet evening in away from excitement, it seemed that the world had decided to ruin your plans by bringing the excitement directly to your doorstep.
It was well into the night, at least midnight if you were to approximate when you heard a deafening sound come from your backyard.
It sounded like a huge collision, possibly a horrible car crash or some other type of terrible event, an event the likes of which you didn't wish to get up to witness.
However, even though you had decided to attempt to remain under your covers where the world seemed so deceivingly warm, you were wrenched from your peaceful thoughts as a firm but polite knock at your back door assaulted your eardrums.
Ok, so maybe you were exaggerating but with this being your day off you really wanted to stay inside without anything concerning you, and someone needing your help after a crash was not in your plans in the slightest.
This was the right thing to do though, you told yourself as you approached the door and noticed the brunette on the other side with a worried expression etched across his features.
"Hello, I'm sorry for bothering you so late. I was hoping if I could stay the night here, I'm afraid I have no way to get home and I'm not really feeling too well after crash landing."
Maybe it was the sleep deprivation from staying up most of the night the day prior to your relaxation day or maybe it was that the words "crash landing" didn't register in that moment but before you could internally scream at yourself you were already allowing him into your home witnessing his odd appearance.
Well, he wasn't all that strange. He seemed to look just like an average guy other than the weird clothes and fuzzy antennae on the top of his head bouncing with every step he took.
"Thank you so much for allowing me to stay here. I was beginning to feel a bit sick after having to destroy what was last of my ship with the emergency protocol. It's probably just from the motions of crashing and all so if you don't mind I'll just need to lay down for a moment."
Despite his polite tone, he did seem a bit off-centered as he wobbled his way to your couch, laying down like it was some newfound sanctuary that he couldn't wait to reach.
Even if you wanted to say that this was normal, you knew at this point that something was up. Why was he dressed so weird, what was he going on about, and really what's with the antennae? Despite the number of questions beginning to multiply within your mind all you could manage to do in your tired stupor was to wobble over to him yourself, outstretching your hands to feel the fuzzy dancing receptors atop his spiky hair.
"W-what are you!?" seeming to contort his own face in confusion or even skepticism akin to your own he remarks, "So that's how you're feeling. You're apprehensive of me, right?"
Perhaps this would be the moment to respond or to even acknowledge the fact that he seems to have the power to understand what you feel once you're within a certain proximity of him. Perhaps you should have some deep revelation in this moment but with your lovely evening ruined by this interloper you decided instead to ignore any revelation, giving the fuzzy sensory appendages a hard tug to see if they'd come off.
"Ouch! S-stop that hurts!" He yells out into your head, his teeth gritted.
Huh? Did he just speak to you telepathically? Immediately understanding your mistake you unhand him, the realization that there's a real live alien laying on your couch finally sinking in.
"I didn't realize that you didn't understand the situation. Are you sure you don't need to lay down now? You seem more shaken up than I am." He replies sitting up to make eye contact with you.
As much as you wanted to agree, you now had even more questions overwhelming your very senses. You needed to know why and how he was here, immediately. Why did he show up tonight of all nights and here when it's supposed to be your day off!?
"I hadn't realized that I'd cause such a disturbance, although I guess I can't say I didn't consider it. I really don't have anywhere to go though so please allow me to stay here, even if it's just for a few! I'll learn to do whatever I have to earn my keep!"
He gives you a determined look as you gaze back shocked by the sudden proposal. He couldn't work but it's not like you wanted to turn him away. Guess this means that you got yourself an alien housewife or so the joke goes.
Allowing yourself a moment to breathe you accept his proposal, on the condition that he takes care of the house, dinner, and anything else around the place that was necessary to bettering it.
You knew it was probably a small feat for an alien compared to a human and with his quick approval you knew that you two would have a new exciting relationship blooming, even if it was just a symbiotic one.
Months have passed now since that day and despite your and Hajime's growing relationship, one thing never seemed to change.
Hajime rarely seemed to show much emotion unless he could get a reading off of you.
It was something that had started endearing but with him asking for your assistance in acting more human you had begun to wonder how to make it so that he would act more emotional without basing his feelings at the moment on others.
That's when an idea struck you! You would take him to a "Haunted House" you knew of. It wasn't exactly haunted as far as you knew but it's not like he'd know that and with a good scare you'd be sure to see his expression change even if just a bit.
What you anticipated didn't happen though as Hajime seemed spaced out the entire time you were there. Try as you might, it seemed that nothing changed that blank expression of his as you weaved intricate scary stories, claimed to see things not there, and even asked him if he "heard that sound" repeatedly.
Just what was he so focused on anyway!? You cursed to yourself when a warmth on your hand snapped you out of those thoughts.
"S/o?" he asks, his hands on your own as his forest colored orbs peer back at you, "Is this like what the human couples do? At home, I've witnessed enough TV to presume that you did this in order to court me in accordance with your established feelings for me. Am I right about that?"
Oh, right he can read your emotions and all. How didn't you think of him knowing all this time?
Taking your silence as an affirmation, he gently smiles at you catching you off guard with this rare expression and the words that had joined it. "I...I know it may be a bit sudden, but I do feel the same. I know I'm simply supposed to be earning my keep but would you allow me to be your boyfriend as you put it?"
Izuru (???)
After your strange rendezvous with Hajime in the "Haunted House," you took him to, you imagined that all would be normal or at least the state of normalcy you were used to with your new alien boyfriend.
However, something seemed off since you two had returned. Hajime had begun to space out often, seeming to move around without any recollection of what had just happened.
It was of course worrying but it wasn't like you could do take him to a doctor when he was an alien. You were left with little to no options other than to wait for it to pass if it would and to try to support him no matter what.
As this process continued with Hajime's face going blank and his body moving without his knowledge you only grew more fearful.
Now even when you tried to sleep beside him you'd end up tossing and turning or waking up every few hours out of fear that you'd lose him.
One night in particular though, he wasn't in bed with you when you had woken up. Perhaps it had been because of the raging storm that your ears picked up as soon as you had awoken or that he had to use the bathroom but at the same time you just knew that couldn't be it.
Something had to be amiss with how he's been acting, you couldn't think of anything else even if you had nothing to back up your thoughts.
Feeling the adrenaline shoot through your body you tore your way downstairs to see his silhouette in the kitchen looking out of the window at the pouring rain, only snapping around to look at you when you called out his name.
"So, you've awoken." He remarks, sounding more deadpan than ever before as his eyes gaze upon you, those same forest green orbs seeming cold and analytical as though there wasn't an ounce of life left behind them.
This wasn't Hajime, this was something else, you thought as whatever was before you tilted its head.
"You are right," you heard within your own head. "I'm able to access his powers though meaning that we can speak like this."
Taking in his form, illuminated by a flash of lightening you noticed how he floated a mere inch or two off the ground as he continued to stare through you with that expressionless face.
"I can tell you're scared of me but I don't mean any harm. Do you remember that "Haunted" house you took Hajime to?"
How did he know about that? As much as your thoughts swam about in your head, he seemed to be calm as ever simply floating closer to you.
"I'm surprised you're not getting this already," he sighs still inside your mind causing you to shiver from the strange sensation as he continues, "I'm a ghost, I died out long ago but I stopped being human long before that. I was the product of an experiment, an alien experiment so I thought that possessing the very same thing that stole my humanity would be interesting."
Drawing closer, his gaze bores into you, feeling an icy breath as his lips rest just an inch or so away from yours unmoving as he finishes his previous speech.
"But, like with everything else in this world I'm still so bored."
As soon as it seemed like he would possibly kiss you the body of your boyfriend fell into you still deep asleep as though he had never stirred in the first place.
You were lucky you could catch him but you knew you'd need to tell him about what happened.
As you dragged the two of you back to bed, trying to muffle the memory of that horrifying event and the onslaught of rain you felt a single name roll off your lips before you fell into a deep slumber.
"Izuru Kamakura."

finding our song book one
begging
The lights of the stage flashed on showing the band members on it. You could hear the hum of the lead starting the opening of the song “ Put your loving hand out, baby 'Cause I'm beggin'' The rest of the band starts to join in the song known as, Beggin’. From the right side of the stage, you could see him as the main bass of the band Daichi Sawamura, A five foot nine well-built dark-haired brown-eyed man with thighs so thick they could crush a watermelon in half. It was the beginning of the trash heap tour for Junkyard scrap. The alternate punk rock band that everyone knew. They were known for being an attractive upcoming popular All-Star Band. Their lead singer had an amazing voice that could go and reach the low notes of a song but sound smokey and sweet and loving. Their bass guitarist could play the strings of his bass like nobody else. Their lead guitarist could play any guitar ranging from electric to ukulele. And there was their drummer. He was the rhythm of their band and could make a beat out of a pencil tapping on a table. But that's not all the band had to offer oh no there is much more. At first glance, junkyard scrap looks like a normal band but that's not all they had. Each one of the band members could do more than just what they were known for. junkyard scrap was nicknamed The Multiverse band, their lead singer Kōtarō Bokuto Also known as the owl was a Bombastic, friendly, energetic guy. Also known as The Moody one tending to sometimes in the middle of an interview going into an “emo mode” because he was sad. Bokuto could also play the drums, guitar, and song right to a certain extent. Tetsurō Kuroo the lead guitarist, is also known as rooster head due to the way his hair looks. Although he looked laid-back, he always seemed to be scheming for something and liked to provoke others' well-dishing outside remarks to them. But the truth of reality is that true karoo is a kind of surprisingly genius man both in music and somehow chemistry. The man could not only play electric guitar but also the bass, the acoustic, the ukulele, the piano, the trumpet and is an absolute god at writing love songs. Daichi Sawamura The bass guitarist of the group. Known as the dad of the group he's responsible, caring, understanding, and patient. Except for when you piss him off then he becomes utterly terrifying and everybody seems to be attracted to that. He can also play the electric guitar. If and when he does sing it's a very low soft and sweet velvet voice. And lastly Hajime Iwaizumi on the drums. A stubborn yet reliable member of the band with a strong intimidating vibe. With a firm yet caring attitude towards the rest of his team everyone tends to respect him and all his fans see him as a bad boy. He can also sing very well. These four young men make up the group known as Junkyard scrap. Clear their fan base they were gods that can play music like nobody else the hottest things on Earth. But to the four of them, they were just a bunch of friends who decided to play at a concert one night with the rest is pretty much history. From the crowd, you can hear the girls screaming their heads off for Daichi. Indicating that they were playing the song ashes which was sung by the drummer Iwaizum. “I fell in love with a boy I met in hell”. As the concert continued The Stylist walked up to their manager Kiyok.
“Are we going to do an outfit change?” the stylist asked
“Not that I know of unless Bo has other plans” She replies with a heavy sigh. Bo had a habit of taking his shirt off in a particular song known as Glory and throwing it in the crowd because according to him the song had just such a “vibe” and “he was so pumped he didn't know what he was doing”. The entire band called them out for just wanting to take his shirt off for no reason. And he did not deny or confirm this action. As the two were talking at that very moment You could hear Kuroo starting to play his electric guitar to the notes of none other than the song Glory. Kiyoko Turn to The Stylist rolling her eyes towards the stage saying “ well the answer to your question is yes Suga, we will be an athlete change in which Bokuto will need another shirt”
“Noted” he replied back quickly leaving her at the side of the stage to go get him a new shirt. At this point, he wasn't surprised he had been with the band as their stylus for the past 6 months and he had gotten pretty much used to the clothes that he had either hand-picked or made himself for Bo, being thrown into the crowd. At first yeah totally annoying the crap out of him. But then the bass player of the band talked to him stating how typically they get the shirts back because most of the fans know but was not allowed to do that anymore even though he still does it. Daichi promised that he would talk to Bo after every concert and yell at him for doing so. Now it wasn't that Suga would say that he was in love with Daichi. But he loves the idea of having a strong Rockstar boyfriend. Though it was never going to happen, he knew that and that was fine. What he didn't know is that Daichi himself had fallen head-over-heels Suga from the day that they met. As the concert ended you could hear the loud roaring of the crowd. The band thanked everybody for coming out and giving them a chance to start a brand new tour.
As the band members came off the stage. They were talking and laughing in a way that made you feel at home.
“That was a good show” Kuroo stated “Even if Bo took his shirt off again” the Rooster continued
“ I told you guys every time you play the song. I just get this feeling that I just can't explain it I just got to be free it's glorious if you try it sometime” Bokuto responded well laughing
“ You know Bokuto. First of all, it's just weird and secondly, you throw away all of Suga's hard work. You jerk” Daichi replied looking at Suga
“Oh, it’s ok. There just close
“No, it’s not ok. It costs us money every time he does it. Right kiyoko” Iwaizumi said
“Sadly Iwaizumi is right,” she said without even looking up from her notes.
“IM SORRY SUGA” Bo bowed his head. Suga just smiled.
“Don't worry, let's go get the shirt back together this time ok” the beautiful silver hair boy stated. As they walked away Daichi couldn't help but stare at Sugawara. To him, Sugawara was a beautiful 5' 8.7" slender-built guy, with light grey hair, and hazel-brown eyes. Not to mention, a birthmark mole under his left eye that Daichi just wanted to kiss. Kōshi Sugawara had a soothing and gentle personality. he kind of acted as a pillar of support for the crew and the band. He was a kind and sweet man. Daichi was unsure of when he had fallen for the man, maybe it was when they first met. That was the start at least.
“You if you ask him out, no one would stop you and every owner would approve,” Kuroo said smiling as they walk to the dressing room.
“I can't I have to Maintain appearance for the band's image” he s simply replied
“ You're joking right, In case you forgot I'm dating Kenma. You know the guy who wright more then half our song” Kuroo Side as he sat down in the chair taking his shoes off
“That's different. You two were dating way before we came to fame” Daichi huffed out as he took his jacket off. Just then Kenma walked while playing on his Game Boy.
“Kuroo,” the short boy said not looking up
“Yes, kitten?” the roster replied
“I want cuddles and apple pie”
“Ok kitten, just let get changed” Kuroo hurried up getting out of the outfit he had on and into sweatpants and a sweatshirt then picked up his boyfriend, leaving the room to go get apple pie and cuddle. Leaving Daichi alone. “Maybe he’s right,” he sighed as took out his shirt.
“Knock knock Dai-” Suga said, opening the door just as Daichi’s pants groped. Leaving him in nothing but his boxer. “OH, MY GOD IM SO SORRY I- I’ll um” He stumbled to figure out what exactly should say.
“It’s fine, just give me a sec,” Daichi said as he grabbed his sweatpants, He had decided to leave his shirt off for a multitude of reasons, mainly because he wanted to make Suga blush. “So I'm guessing you need the outfits from the performance today,” He said as he smiled. “Um yes please… and thank you” Suga replied calmly. Daichi nodded, picking up the clothes in the room and heading them over to Suga. Just as Suga took them he ended up trying over his feet, falling on Daichi. When Suga opened his eyes he realized both of his hands were on Daichi's chest, his shirtless chest realizing. where his hands were he blushed training his face into the color of the Tomato he stood up to grab the clothes and ran to the door. “I'M SORRY...Again… AND THANK YOU… GOODBYE!” He said that he closed the door behind them running down the hallway away from the embarrassment that just happened. Leaving sitting on the floor as red as the color of a tomato. “Your welcome,” he said to no one but himself.

Doubts
The next day, Aditi opted to clear her conscience by planning for the future. The next few days, she could visit Hajime and talk out her concerns. The Trifle situation was... more difficult. She paced outside her sister’s door for.. hours it felt like. In reality, it was only five minutes of hyping herself up, only to chicken out and speed walk back to her room. Her brain being so busy with ideas and studying dreams means she felt exhausted by the end of the day. Enough to fall asleep normally instead of with alcohol.
She suspected these dreams in her sleep was a form of self-analysis. That Albert was merely a character that existed in her head, that she could use to learn about herself. But, his reactions were independent of her? That wouldn’t make much sense. Least to say, when the dream blurred into her vision, she was the first to speak this time. “Do you exist independently from these dreams?” She blurred out without giving a second to consider waiting.
“Good day to you too.” Albert responded without the usual bravado, reading through the notebook he had been writing in the whole time, clapping it shut again, the usual smile appearing back on his face as he responded casually: “I don’t see how this is relevant to our progression, Aditi. If we were here to smalltalk and dilly dally, I would have met you in a cafe.”
He smirked a little as he remarked: “Dilly dallying is quite the entertaining word, don’t you think?” He chuckled to himself as he opened a drawer in his desk, procuring some papers, eyes roaming over them.
“You’re as humorous as you are straightforward, Doctor.” Aditi muttered in annoyance.
“For today I thought we could do a little personality test. Nothing too intrusive, it is just there to distinguish your basic characteristics, like punctuality, empathy, introversion or extraversion etcetera etcetera, you can also choose not to answer if you are not comfortable. All of these questions can be responded with ‘yes’ or ‘no’, you do not need to elaborate in any way.”
Aditi folded her arms together, much like a pouting child and rolled her eyes. She figured that questioning him any further was a dead end at this point. He was fair too cryptic and waffling to let her in on secrets. With a disappointed huff, she nodded to give her agreement to the test.
He wrote Aditi’s name on the paper and then read some of the questions to her:
“When I see someone crying, I feel the urge to hug them and try to make them feel better.”
“I often miss public transportation.”
“You can find me at the club every Friday night.”
“Family is extremely important to me.”
“I need social interactions every day to function.”
“I like to try out new things.”
The first, made her pause. Did she feel the need to hug or comfort anyone she saw crying? The answer was no. Crying only immediately provoked curiosity in her. Her sympathy pains only seemed to be accessible only with her loved ones. People she knew, and already could appreciate. Both being true, her choice was to stay neutral. “No answer.”
The second was simple. The few times she relied on public transportation, she was never late. Rather she stressed about being early. “No.”
The third took no time either. Easily assumed, she was a wallflower, and hardly ever had fun at parties. Unless illegal means were involved. “No.”
Family. The ones she chose as family, yes. Celia? Trifle? Knifu? The first name, no. The second.. yes? And the third was yes. So, she decided to follow suit. “Yes.”
Did she need to interact with someone everyday? No. She went without it for years being raised by Celia. “No.”
Trying new things? Adventure. Discovery. Absolutely. “Yes.”
He nodded along to her answers, occasionally looking down to jot the right square, a smirk edging on his face at the attitude Aditi was giving him. “Are you doubting my measures? Just wait for it. By the end of this test you might be surprised by how much more I know about you. I’ll just need a day to properly evaluate it.”
Amusement was edging on his face, a weird static atmosphere starting to fill the office as he continued with his questions, making sure his voice was clear so there wouldn’t be misunderstandings.
Aditi stared back defiantly, clearly not buying his claim. Answering a few questions with yes or no wasn’t nearly enough to get an idea of what that person was like. The static noise and atmosphere didn’t phase her outside of a more narrowed sharp gaze. He continued:
“I regularly go on holidays.”
“I suffer from thoughts that don’t seem to be my own.”
“I don’t understand social cues often.”
“I have a hard time imagining myself in someone else's shoes.”
“I feel the urge to physically harm people that have done me wrong.” His eyes flicked up to her for a moment to see her reaction.
Regular holidays? That referred to taking breaks and enjoying the company of others, didn’t it? “Yes.” She nodded.
Hear thoughts that aren’t her own? She remembered struggling with this since childhood, even before Celia. “Yes.”
Social cues. At first, she struggled with them desperately. Nowadays? She was fair better at reading the room, but not too comfortable to call herself an expert. “Yes.”
This one was easy. A perspective empathy question. She often exorcised her ability to relive the memories of others, in order to gain more empathy for them. While it was intrusive, it was the fastest way to understand. “No.”
The last question caused some amount of discomfort. She clearly didn’t like the question. But she disliked her answer even more so. “... Yes.” She admitted, glancing away while doing so.
His grin widened at her answers, quickly writing down the answers and reassuring her. “You‘re doing great. Don’t worry, we are almost done...” He flipped the page, a soft singing was audible, so quiet it could almost be missed. It sounded like a little girl singing a nursery rhyme, but in another language, so it wasn’t sure what she was singing.
When he talked, it sounded like multiple voices, hushed whispers accompanying him like backup singers, but the man himself didn’t pay it any mind, continuing as if nothing weird was going on.
“I wish that I had more friends than I actually have.”
“I feel the urge to harm people for no clear reason.”
“I feel scared of what the future holds for me.”
“I feel guilty.”
“I feel disliked by people around me.”
“Get out of here.”
His voice was very quiet compared to the whispers that were accompanying him, maybe those weren’t actually the questions he was asking and just the whispers, but he looked at Aditi expectantly. The whispers were still audible, telling Aditi to leave.
Aditi listened to the whispers and singing combining together into a whirl of madness. It was much like a nightmare, one of the standard ones that showed anxiety in others. People could hear voices of disdain talking to them mostly when they themselves felt judged by others. None of this triggered her into a breakdown thankfully, only medical themes or visions of past mistakes caused her to falter. While unnerved, she pressed forward, eyes narrowing in response to his encouragement.
Did she want more friends? She has been told many times that she isn’t easy to approach, and when she takes initiative that can turn poorly as well. Part of her wishes was that she looked more inviting. “Yes.”
A desire to harm others for no reason. Generally, no. She didn’t want to hurt people without reason. Only when she lost control did she feel that impulse. Of course, she considered herself a sadist to an extent also. Those factors made this question difficult to answer. “No answer.”
Scared of the future? Who isn’t scared of the future? Of the unknown? It’s only natural to feel that way, right? “Yes.”
Guilty. She barely had to think of her answer. “Yes.”
Does she feel disliked? That’s strange too. Her whole life, she was surrounded by people who wanted to kill her, or adored her. The laboratory experiment children would’ve gladly watched her drop dead. The cultist would’ve given their lives for her. Only now was there a happy medium. But... the bitterness of the past wouldn’t let her see on the brighter side. “Yes.”
“Very good, Aditi. You are doing great. We are almost done actually.“ He jotted more stuff down, his expression looking a little off from just a few seconds ago.
“I just have 5 more questions for you and then we can end tonight’s session.“ he informed her, turning the Page, fingers tightening around the paper and crumpling it lightly. He opened his mouth, but suddenly his voice was completely gone. It was like he got muted, in his place the whispers filling the room. He still held eye contact, though it was more like he was looking through Aditi, something clearly on his mind. And instead of the questions she heard:
“I’m sorry this is all my fault.”
“You don’t deserve this.”
“It should have never come to this.”
“He’s hunting you. He’s a monster.”
“Get out of here.”
His mouth closed again and he looked at Aditi expectantly, waiting for her answers. He looked less worried and more hopeful now, a giddy glint in his eerie eyes.
While shutting out the instructive thoughts was easy enough when she could hear a voice over them. Now? No. It wasn’t easy at all. Not easy to stare straight again. Not easy to keep from flinching every time the voice asked a question. Not easy to hold her neutral gaze. It reminded her all too much of how it felt to lose control. To be consumed by despair. Her thoughts no longer being her own, only whispers and taunts, keeping her at bay, pulling her down to let her instincts do all of the work. Her head felt.. fuzzy. Aditi felt similarly at this moment. Her lips curled into an uncomfortable scowl. What the hell is this? It hadn’t been nearly this unsettling the other times they spoke. What was getting in the way?
Or.. was this the plan all along? To earn her trust more, only to make the dreams devolve into hellish nightmares? She sincerely hoped that wasn’t the case.
The whispers suddenly stopped as he opened his mouth again, asking Aditi: “Are you alright, Aditi? You look a bit pale.“
Something really didn’t want this session to continue. But if the doctor noticed, he did a good job at hiding it.
“..... I couldn’t hear your questions.” She admitted quietly, her eyes shifting around the room carefully. “Voices spoke over you. Whether they were in my head or not, I’m uncertain. They are...” She paused once again, thinking over if she should be honest or not in this situation. Ultimately, she decided against lying. “They are.. apologizing to me? Saying I do not deserve this. It should’ve never come to this? He, whoever that is, seems to be hunting me. He is a monster? They are.. telling me to leave..”
He regarded her, expression serious as he listened to Aditi, contemplating something for a few seconds, then ultimately sighing. He looked around the room again, as if he could make out the voices and silence them, ultimately deciding to try and explain: “It is probably your subconsciousness running wild from stress...“
He set the test aside, leaning forward to give Aditi a comforting touch. It was cold as ice.
“Let us end the session a little early, alright? You don’t need to answer those questions. I’ll just review the test without them.“ he reassured her, a sad glint in his eyes.
“Orabelle.”
The voices were a lot quieter now, but it was probably for the better to end this meetup earlier to start better off on the last one.
“Rest easy, Aditi. I’ll see you tomorrow.“
Aditi didn’t understand. She sat with shifting eyes, looking left to right like a frightened child. It made her feel weak for her emotions to be easily sensed or stated. It felt wrong to hear her dead name be spoken aloud in her ear, so wrong that it caused her to flinch back and fumble. Her eyes narrowed so angrily at the voice, she nearly forgot to take his hand. “... This was a mistake..” Her grip on his hand was uncomfortably tight now, she seemed to seethe with contempt.
This only happened after she put faith in him and gave away sensitive information about her past. She thought it was of little consequence, yet here it was... being shoved in her face. Taunting her. This being was taunting her, wasn’t he? Mocking her. Before she could convey her distrust, the dream had faded away like the smoke of fireworks.

so hhhh since u asked for reqs-- oikawa and iwa (separately) trying to surprise their s/o on their bday by trying to make a cake for them? ty :D
hi miyu <3 i hope you like these i had a blast writing them uwu
Oikawa
Oikawa’s mother and sister always liked to tease him in his area of weakness: cooking. He could get by in the field - he made a good egg omelet on his good days. Usually he settled for easy to make ramen or cereal when he idn’t trust his abilities, though. Which is why his mother laughed loudly when she walked into the kitchen one morning to find him sitting at the kitchen table hovering over his phone, various measuring tools and bowls spread out on the table around him.
“Birthday cake? Ah, is it Y/N-chan’s birthday today?” She beamed at him, moving to take the phone from his hands and go through the ingredients.
“Nope!” Oikawa yelped, moving away from his mom, making her frown and set her hands on her hips, “It’ll be even more special if I make it myself from scratch!”
“True. Please don’t poison Y/N-chan, though, you know I’m very fond of them. And clean up the mess when you’re done!” With that Oikawa’s mom left the kitchen, and a few seconds later he could hear the sound of the TV in the living room and her laughter at whatever soap opera was playing.
Left in the quiet kitchen, he got to work, playing music from his phone loud enough for only his ears. He found himself enjoying the process of measuring and mixing things into what he hoped looked like cake batter. He’d made cake before with his sister - but it had been way easier back then since it had been with cake mix. He remained optimistic, though. It was Y/N’s special day and he didn’t want to ruin it.
God knows how long later he was taking it out of the oven and icing it carefully, not even noticing his mom entering the kitchen behind him until she tsked loudly. “Smoother, Tooru. That’s messy.”
“’Kay.” She disappeared to the living room again and Oikawa was sure to smooth his icing carefully. In a separate bowl he mixed in food coloring and with his mom’s piping bag he decorated the edges, feeling immensely proud of his steady hand. He didn’t trust himself enough to try writing Y/N’s name on the cake and a cheerful “Happy Birthday!” so instead he stuck on the appropriate candle numbers and carefully slid the cake into his mother’s plastic cake box he hadn't even known she had until he rummaged through the cupboards.
The walk to Y/N’s house was pleasant enough, even thought Oikawa jumped at anything that moved since he was terrified of a cat attacking him now, in the most important moment of his day (he’d been attacked once and he never would forget it.) Luckily he didn’t drop the cake and made it to Y/N’s house safely and was able to knock on their door before anything catastrophic happened to the cake.
Oikawa had dropped by earlier to give Y/N their present - he hadn’t told them about the cake, since he wanted it to be a surprise and bonus present. The look of surprise on Y/N’s face when they opened the door was priceless in Oikawa’s eyes and worth every second of freaking out about the oven’s temperature or the color of the cake and icing.
“Tooru did you bake this?” Y/N gaped, taking the cake from him and inviting him inside. Y/N had a party hat on even though there had been no birthday party - Oikawa had given it to them earlier and it appeared as though they had not taken it off.
“Yes I did,” he said proudly, following Y/N to the kitchen. He watched as they laid plates, forks, and a knife on the table beside the cake.  Y/N carefully cut them both a slice, letting out an appreciative “ooooo” when they saw the fluffy inside. Oikawa took a bite at the same time as them and both looked at each other in amazement at how good it taste.
“I thought you said you sucked at baking!” Y/N exclaimed, digging their fork in for another bite. “This is great!”
“It was my love for you that fueled my new passion, Y/N-chan,” Oikawa said as he dramatically stabbed his fork into the cake. “No one believed in me but against the odds I prevailed-”
“You’ve got some icing on your cheek.”
“Do I? Where-” he let out a screech when Y/N swiped an icing filled finger across his cheek. He laughed at her pleased expression and dipped his own finger in icing, moving towards Y/N slowly. “A grave mistake, Y\/N-chan!”
Iwaizumi
It was no secret to Iwaizumi’s close friends that he could bake. He made muffins a lot and always shared - and his biggest fan of his baked goods was Y/N. But he’d never made them an actual birthday cake for their special day - only cookies or other special sweets. So he decided to make one this time, figuring it would be pretty fun to try and make one from scratch.
His first mistake was assuming he’d be alone the morning of Y/N’s birthday. When he woke up he saw not one face hovering above his head but two. He didn’t even scream; he was way too used to this at this point.
“Did you forget?” Makki asked, grinning cheekily. “Today’s vlog day!”
Makki and Mattsun, the insufferable duo, had promised Y/N to film a vlog this year for their birthday. Not for the purpose of YouTube, just for their personal memories. It was actually a genuinely sweet idea - but they were narrating, filming, and editing the whole thing. Knowing Y/N, though, they’d love it.
The two waited for Iwaizumi in the kitchen, making small talk with his parents as he did his morning routine. Thank god he’d woken up early today. He could only imagine how early the two must’ve gone to Y/N’s place to film their Happy Birthday duet song (backing vocals by Oikawa, previously recorded since he didn’t get up earlier than 10 AM when he could avoid it).
“We went to Y/N’s at 12AM,” Mattsun informed Iwaizumi as he started getting out what he needed and setting it on the table. “We’d gotten family permission and everything - we’re professionals. And her family adores us so they didn’t mind.”
“Tell us what you’re doing now, Iwa.” Iwaizumi turned to find himself in front of Makki’s phone, the camera pointed directly at what he hoped was his face and not zoomed into his eyebrows or something.
“Getting everything to make Y/N’s cake. Since you guys are here I’m assuming you’ll help.”
His second mistake.
“Ohmygod how do you even turn this on,” Mattsun nearly screamed over the loud mixer noises of an already turned on standing mixer.
“Iwa I sincerely hope you know what you’re doing because this seems like too many eggs,” Makki said from the kitchen counter, expertly holding his phone camera in one hand and cracking eggs and dropping them into a bowl in the other.
“I know what I’m doing,” Iwaizumi replied, turning off the mixer and telling Mattsun to preheat the oven. He knew they were just messing around, and he didn’t mind much.
A while later Mattsun was narrating to Makki’s phone the “monstrosity” of a cake that Iwaizumi had produced from the heavens, and then the three of them were off to Y/N’s house with it, their presents for Y/N in tow.
They were the first to get to the party, and Y/N opened the door for them, beaming in a shirt that said “BIRTHDAY ROYALTY” in all caps, no doubt gifted to her by Oikawa. “Hajime it looks great!” Y/N exclaimed, pausing to wave at the camera before ushering everyone inside.
Thankfully the cake lived up to the hype; everyone at the party enjoyed it and even asked for the recipe when he was alone. A few days later, when Y/N’s vlog was given to her and she sat down with Iwaizumi to watch it, she laughed at Makki and Mattsun’s reviews of it with him. “10/10, and we’re not just saying that because we helped but because Y/N wouldn’t stop bragging about her baker boyfriend to us in between present openings.”

DRAFT. “ don’t, take another step in my direction. just stay where you are oikawa. “
he freezes, hand slowly lowering itself as he sees you across the bed room facing the window sitter on the bed.
your silhouette being encased in a dewy glow as the sunsets behind you, showing the end of another day.
“ i’m sorry? y/n - chan what are you “
“don’t call me that oikawa “ you breathed, hand snapping towards him as the shine of the background illuminated your face, visibly distressed as you stared directly into his chocolate eyes, one you got lost in for hours.
ones that seems like the glow of honey, but are now full of shit.
“ i i don’t understand y/n - chan, what’s gotten into you are yo”
“i know that all the accusations posted against me have been getting more attention, so i have decided to talk about them”
the moment you cut him off, there was a sinking feeling in the chest that dropped to the pit of his stomach. eyes slowly widening as your shaky form continued reading.
“ yes it is true, i did sleep with the saun “
your back was back to face him, when you swiftly snapped back to your previous position.
though, your smooth reading quickly came crashing down down as he heard you struggling to even breathe.
a step was taken, “ y/n-san”
“ with the san jaunt ram manager who i have been seeing for a few months prior. though i had a fiancé. i was doing all of this without her knowing and with her husbands knowing consent. “
like a spring, he saw your trembling figure shot up as the glowing device laid captive in your whitening hand.
“ SOMETIMES we would do it in my own house, where my fiancé“ a pause. “ where my fiancé was away from at the time for an overseas trip to the state’s for her work. “
you had skipped a line, he had noted.
“ though, i regret the action, i can not keep quiet about it anymore, i sincerely apologize to all my fans and to y/n, as they don’t deserve this. we had cut off all contact as of today. “
though once he heard you stop reading he wen to open his mouth to talk, though the action stopped as his voice was held in a, iron cage, the lock not coming undone as h entries to break it.
“as of today..what about the day before yesterday hmm? YOU TELL ME TOORU. WHERE YOU SEEING HER YESTERDAY, THE DAY BEFORE I GOT BACK TO BRAZIL. PLEASE JUST FUCKING ANSWER ME”
“YES I DID”
silence followed quickly after, encasing the dimming room as he took another step towards you, face unreadable at his sudden out burst.
“ i see... you know tooru.”
in, out, you breathing had calmed a bit as you chucked the phone he got you for christmas onto the contaminated bed.
“ i see how all these girls look at you, men sometimes too. i see how they all flock to you, fall to one of your many charms, one i thought was reserved just for me. “
finally with a quick change you were now making eye contact as he looked into your eyes, the lighting stilling as your grimacing eyes met his fully, truly for the first time tonight.
“ your smile “
the eerieness continued as the sun stopped setting, stating in place as the air got harder, tenser, like he was on a mountain.
“ you know oikawa tooru, age 27 who loves argentinain native food, who loves volleyball as if it were his daughter, our daughter, who’s in back home now as i don’t want her knowing what you did. “
home? this perplexed him cause wasn’t your home here, with him in argentina ?
oh. you meant back japan where you stats for before ,asking the big move to argentina to pursue a life with him, and at the time unborn child.
mouth twitching down as the side of your neck bulged a bit as your hand went hide this tic of yours he had never once seen.
“ i don’t know you, oikawa tooru. “
another pause.
“ i won’t pretend i know you anymore, i’ve never knew you tooru, i only know a side of you that you want me to know. i’ve realized that now. “
“ you know me better than anybody else y/n”
do he had found his voice was slipping out fo it’s cage.
“ do i? maybe you’re right. maybe you know how i see you look at my brother. maybe i see the longing glanced you both send as you catch up on old highschool days. maybe on our wedding night hajime warned me.”
“ maybe he warned me about marrying you, saying how ‘ you were his best friend and wanted you to be happy, but wanted me to be as well. ‘ he had called you an icarus who was making his way to the sun, slowly getting closer, and closer, and closer. “
“.. you know i don’t love iwazumi, that was in the past y/n, but i love you now, from the moment we met i’ve loved you “
“so why! why did you do it oikawa? why did you do what you did, why are you looking at my brother the wya you look at me? sometimes i feel as if you would’ve rather married him than i. “
“ you were away for so long y/n i missed you and it was lonely, she came onto mei promise i tried to stop her “
“ should’ve tried harder than. but what baffles me is that you posted it? why. why the fuck would you tell the whole world how you brought this girl into our bed. what were you trying to clear your name or something. cause you ruined our ducking lives oikawa “
“ i’m aware y/n “ he winced.
timing back in, the room grew darker as the once small shadows started to creep up the wall, shackling themselves onto him as he looked at them clinging to his legs.
“ you know, i thought i made you happy, i thought i was the one to finally say this. loosely like yourself. ‘ tie down oikawa tooru, the world famous volleyball player who i’ve been with since highschool where he fought tooth and nail for what he wanted. “
a silence entrapped the two as oikawa was waiting for her to continue, knowing if he tried to put a word in he’d just get shut down.
“ .. why did you even marry me, tooru?”
a sharp pain erupted in his head as in he jerked up, mouth drying went dry as his eye eyes met your narrowed ones hip propped as you stared at him.
“ i know you’ve always hated the idea of marriage, children even as you wanted to be free, as you would always tell me in highschool. so why did you?”
“easy, because i love you”
“nope, no, jett no oikawa, you love the idea of me, of having a family, to have string to lean on “
“ no it’s not y/n and you know that, i love you that’s why i married you, that’s why i wanted to have a family with you “
“ are you sure about that cause you seem like you wanna family with her “
“ y/ n you can’t blame me i was lonely “
“ then call me damnit! “
“ i did y/n, but that wasn’t enough! “
“ obviously i can see that now asshole. and you know that i know that you could’ve fucked any bitch that came up to you and got them pregnant and i would stay because i love you. but like you i’ve changed. “
“we’re not the same as we were back then tooru, you know that“
“ y/ n lease, i’m sorry “
“ no. no. you’re making this harder than it needs to be oikawa please stop. “
“ no i can’t because i love you “
he was getting desperate, chains restricting him as he hastily made his yea towards you, reaching out to you, for you.
pain circulated through his hand as he stared dumbfounded at your scowling face, pressing your lips firmly together as you growled out a curse.
“ don’t you dare touch me. “
massaging his brows he tried again. “ y/n please i didn’t mean to “
“ shut the fuck up shitty bitch. one time is when you didn’t mean two, i could look past with counselling. six fucking months? you’re kidding yourself if i plan to stay with you. i’m going to Switzerland for some work i have to do. “
speeding towards the door he had finally noticed the two duffel bags that sat next to the floor white barrier.
he couldn’t move a single muscle in his body as she bent over to pick them up. one in each hand.
“ goodbye oikawa, good luck at nationals “ something else was muttered as you traveled through the untamable portal.
but he stared, eyes wide as slow, cold, glossy tears trickled down his cheeks. he wouldn’t, couldn’t move as it closed, only seeing the back of your head as you left your shared bedroom.

The Ultimate Matchmaker x Hajime Hinata
WARNING: SFW at first, but will get NSFW because I, too, am thirsty for the orange juice man.
You were the Ultimate Matchmaker. You took much pride in your profession. It didn’t take much more than one conversation to understand just the right kind of match for someone. Several of your classmates at Hope’s Peak came to seek your advice. This boosted your confidence exponentially because some of your clients were...odd. Especially the one you were supposed to meet today.
This specific one left a note in your locker saying “MYSTIC WIZARD WIELDING POWERS OF EROS, MEET ME IN THE HOUSEHOLD OF OCCULT SCRIPTURES AT THE HOUR OF 4.”. It didn’t take you very long to figure out that this was Gundham Tanaka. You giggled at his exaggeration and shut your locker, suddenly meeting a familiar green-eyed gaze.
“Hajime...?”
Oh my lord, Hajime. As the Ultimate Matchmaker, you’d never really had many crushes. The ones you did barely lasted a day because once you stole a glance at them, your mind would automatically come up with a perfect match for them. And that match was always someone else. But for Hajime...he was interesting. Your mind couldn’t figure him out.
“Hey...(Y/N)...um, how have you been lately?”, he asked, clearly very nervous.
“Oh, I’ve been alright. Just life, you know? Gets tough every now and then,” you stated. Hajime always could tell when you weren’t telling the truth. You could’ve pretended you were enthusiastic, but you always felt extremely groggy after math class.
“Oh, I feel you, (Y/N). Today I got partnered with someone I really don’t like for a group project. I can’t even explain how tiring that is,” he sighed, clearly exhausted. “That’s enough about my boring day, though. My advice for you is to find ways to relax. Get a massage, go to the beach...do something for yourself, you know? You deserve it.”
“Do something for myself, huh?”, you wondered aloud. Oh you could do something alright. You could do that boy right in front of-
` “Yeah, of course. I’d be glad to help you come up with ideas. Everyone needs to unwind once in a while,” he said, softly smiling. The school bell interrupted your conversation, causing Hajime to jump. “Oh, um, I gotta go!
“See ya, Hajime!”, you exclaimed, waving energetically at him.
You were distracted the whole day. First off, you had to mentally prepare yourself to translate Gundham Tanaka, and secondly, Hajime. You could not stop thinking about him. Honestly, sometimes you creeped yourself out. But you just couldn’t help it. He was an enigma. A mystery. You had to know. Who was his match?
After your last class, you headed to the library and sat at a table, waiting for your client. “Nishishi...you tooootally fell right in to my trap!!!”, you heard a voice exclaim.
“K-Kokichi?!”, you screamed as you leapt out of your chair.
“Oh, you soooo thought it was Gundham! But that was a lie! Actually it wasn’t just a lie, no no no! It was a scheme, a plan, by a mastermind...to ask you out,” Kokichi whispered the last few words in your ear.
“Kokichi, um, I had no idea you felt that way, but...analyzing your personality, you’re a better match for-“
“Oh no no no, don’t misunderstand, Miss Matchmaker!”, Kokichi quickly interrupted. “I mean that a very very special someone asked me for advice on how to ask you out!”
“That’s a lie, Kokichi.”
“Neeheehee...that’s right! Actually, a certain Ultimate Supreme Leader was playing ‘Truth or Dare’ with some reserve course students, and...one of them likes you! And so I helped! By my own volition, of course!”, Kokichi was bouncing off the walls. “But that’s enough about that. Ladies and gentlemen, it is now time to present the man, the mystery, the mastermind, the...LOVER BOY...Hajime Hiiiiinata!!!!” Kokichi ran outside the library and proceeded to shove Hajime into the building, cackling all the way.
“Hajime!”, you exclaimed, a faint blush glowing on your cheeks. “U-um,”
“I’m so, so sorry (Y/N)! I tried to tell him not to get involved,” Hajime quickly interrupted whatever you were fixing to say.
“Hey, it’s alright, Hajime. If what Kokichi said was true...for once...then um, I like you too,” you said, looking him in the eye.
Hajime’s eyes widened. “Wh-wh-?!” Before both of you could process your feeling for each other, all of a sudden your lips met.
“KOKICHI!”
“Nee hee hee hee! I’m only trying to help- after all, Hajime is quoted as saying that a massage is a good way to relax, right? I don’t know, just an idea.”, Kokichi cackled as he strided out of the library.
To your surprise, Hajime simply looked you in the eye and says: “That’s not a half-bad idea.”
You simply grinned and took his hand. “Everyone does need to unwind once in a while.”
(NSFW AHEAD)
Before you could even assess whatever had happened with Kokichi, you were lying face down on one of the tables in the library. Hajime was gently rubbing on your shoulders and back as you got used to the feeling, waiting to really get going until you were comfortable.
You finally sighed and found a comfortable position. Almost immediately, Hajime’s thumbs were rubbing circles in the small of your back. You didn’t even realize that the old books, the long day, whatever problems you had faced...had all just melted away as he rubbed you. But. There was still something...missing.
A part of you longed to be more vulnerable. To completely open yourself up to him. But how exactly to...do that? And how exactly to ask? You stole a glance
at Hajime, god was he hot- “(Y/N)? Is there something the matter?”, he asked. This man didn’t miss a beat.
“N-no. Not really, um, it’s just-“, you blushed, trying to hide your face.
“Oh! Um, it’ll probably feel better if you take off your shirt, (Y/N),” he stated bluntly. I think he took the hint- WAIT WHAT?! Your shock was evident. “If you feel uncomfortable at all, I-I can just take mine off too.”. Oh no. If he took off his shirt I don’t know what I’ll-
“Yeah, that’s fine with me!”
What.
Whatever primal instinct had defied your logic’s attempts at keeping things PG...was strong. Like it had been waiting for centuries and centuries for someone to break down your walls- someone like Hajime Hinata. Usually you beat yourself up for just letting words fall out like that, but the moment skin touched skin any anxiety that had existed just disappeared like it was never there at all.
That was when he kissed your neck, making you gasp in surprise. That was the nail in the coffin. That was when you knew you were giving it all to Hajime- tonight. You flipped over onto your back to experience your first kiss, a passionate expedition like no trip you’d ever been on. You blushed and prepared to flip back onto your stomach, but Hajime stopped you. “Wait, (Y/N). The next place I want to massage is on this side, so...um...”. You immediately knew what he was implying.
You undid your bra clasp, throwing the uncomfortable piece of clothing into close distance to your schoolbag. Hajime immediately went to work on your breasts, gently rolling your nipple with his tongue. You let out a low moan, all inhibitions lost. You almost didn’t notice that he was playing with the zipper on your skirt. You sighed and closed your eyes, giving him the go-ahead to take it all off.
He then began to tease your thigh, slowly working his way up between your legs, driving you absolutely wild. You pulled down your undergarments, letting him tease you, barely even touching you with his fingers and still making you wetter than Niagara Falls. A tongue slowly licked you, making you moan out hais
name. As he began to speed up, you certainly let go of any reservations about being quiet in the library.
And then you noticed. “Um, Hajime;” you said, looking at the obvious arousal in his pants. You quickly sat up, palming him as you took off the rest of his clothes.
“Oh, (Y/N)...” he moaned. That was irresistible. “Next time, I’ll let you have at it all you want, but...I have just got to have you. Right now.”
Well, if that wasn’t the hottest thing you’ve ever heard. Also...he mentioned a next time.
“Then take me,” you gasped. He quickly put a condom, and then slowly entered you, making sure you weren’t in any pain. Once he started moving, he went pretty fast, but not faster than you could handle. You matched his speed, relishing the moment until your vision started to blur and everything suddenly felt like it was taking place in the stars.
All that existed was him and you, breathing heavily as night began to fall. The last words said that night before you fell asleep in Hajime’s arms were “Hey Hajime. I have a little hunch that I’ve found the perfect match for you. On a completely unrelated note, I finally found someone who’s perfect for me.” You both giggled and fell asleep, letting calm overtake the both of you.

Protagonist
The perfect trio.
That‘s what Iwaizumi, Oikawa and you had been.
The perfect trio.
The friendship trio everyone would die for.
Everyone envied you guys; it was almost too perfect to be true.
You always attended to their games, and they always attended to your performances.
You always cheered for them, and they always cheered for you.
The perfect friendship.
Until…
“you like him, right?”
Oikawa crossed his arms while looking down at you.
Did you really?
“Who do you mean?” you asked innocently, but you knew damn well who he was talking about.
“Iwaizumi. You like him, right?” He didn’t give in this easily, making you sigh.
“I don’t know.” your gaze went up to the clouds which were blocking the sun partly, and as they moved on sometimes the sun would come out better, sometimes less. The light kept on changing slightly.
“you should confess.”
His voice got suddenly so serious, it almost worried you about how he reacted.
“Oikawa, I don’t even know if I like him-”
“The way you look at him tells something else”
You felt your blood rush up into your cheeks.
He was right.
You liked Iwaizumi, everyone would probably fall for Oikawa, I mean, he had a whole Fanclub.
But Iwaizumi got never the attention.
Maybe you only pitied him?
Hopefully not.
Little did you know, Iwaizumi watched you guys. “I thought you liked him” you suddenly confessed, making him look at you in disgust.
“what the fuck?” his voice was much louder, but not in an aggressive way. He was only confused and surprised at your statement. He liked Iwaizumi? The only one who liked Iwaizumi was you. Your gaze quickly went over at Oikawa, before you burst out laughing at how stupid he looked at you.
Hajime, who had been looking at you two for a while now, felt his heartbreaking though. Did you just confess to Oikawa?
You were red, and Oikawa looked at you like you just told him the biggest secret.
Of course, you did.
And damn, you two looked so good together, like the perfect couple.
Iwaizumi knew it; he had always been the protagonist's friend. He never wanted any attention, he never wanted to have an admirer.
Until you came into his life, from there on, he wanted to be the main character. From there on, he wanted you to be his admirer, he wanted you two to look like the perfect couple. But he could never get the main character. That’s what the scenario which played in front of him just showed him: he would always stay the secondary figure.
“Iwa-chan!” Oikawa suddenly called, waving at him after seeing that he just came out of the school. He had one class more this day, and you and Oikawa had been waiting like usually for him.
It was Monday, meaning they didn’t have practice.
“come on, hurry your ass! I wanna get ice cream” you whined out at the male who started to approach you two.
“if you won’t confess in the next three days I will” Oikawa suddenly whispered, making you shiver.
He would do it, and wouldn’t even regret it.
“you won’t do that” you scoffed at Oikawa’s threat, being just as quiet as he had been.
“watch me”
He was so damn serious, it scared you too much. Too much to not risk anything. He opened his mouth, seeming to smile proudly while doing so “no shut up!” hitting his shoulder gently, Oikawa closed his mouth quickly again, shooting you a glare.
Just as you were about to speak again, you saw how the two already walked ahead, making you run over to them, walking next to Iwaizumi now.
“Hajime, Oikawa is being annoying again” you whined out, tugging on his sleeve and pointed over at the captain with a small pout.
You were too cute for him to handle.
A small blush spread across his cheeks, but the sun setting made it look way too natural, so you hadn’t noticed.
“I did nothing” Oikawa looked in disbelief at you two, before smirking a little at the sight.
Hajime perhaps never noticed, but no matter how good you looked next to Oikawa, you looked much better at the ace’s side.
No matter how childish you were, somehow Hajime could manage to bear you much better than Oikawa.
“You only act like that because you can’t handle your feelings for me”
You frowned at Oikawa’s statement, about to snap at him.
Wait, did he try to make the ace jealous?
If so, he must’ve been god damn stupid.
“I think I won’t get ice cream with you, I don’t feel well today.” The ace finally spoke up, making you look up at him with worry. You couldn’t help but stare at this beauty.
“oh, okay. Get well Iwa” you waved at the male who turned around to leave you two alone, and the other two also said goodbye.
“I fucked up” The captain sighed and rubbed his forehead, to which you could only agree.
“Yes, you did” You two watched the heartbroken Iwaizumi walk off to his house, making you pout a little.
“What if he thinks we both are into each other and he got so jealous, so he couldn’t be around us anymore.” Glancing now back at Tooru, you could only shrug.
“Just confess already!” he said again, flicking your forehead and then, he also just left, walking to his house.
He always told you such things like he had done them millions of times, but like you know him, he chickened out every time as he was about to confess.
---
You stared at the contact on your phone for a few minutes.
Should you just do it?
Usually, you were straight forward.
But now it seemed like this personality trait of yours just disappeared.
No, you wouldn’t call him.
Just as you wanted to leave his contact, you accidentality called him.
“Fuck!”
Now, that you called him, you just can’t hang up out of nowhere.
Pressing the phone against your ear, you waited for him to pick the phone up, and after a few ‘beeps’  you could finally hear his soothing and calm voice from the other side of the speaker.
“Hey, is something wrong?”
Suddenly, it seemed like you forgot everything you wanted to tell him.
It seemed like all those words which had built up throughout the day, they just disappeared.
“Uh- hey” you quickly greeted him back, laughing nervously.
“Do you… wanted to tell me something?”
Yeah. I like you.
The way you smile, the way you laugh, the way your gaze softens whenever you look at me. I like this all. No, even more.
I like the way you call me by my first name, it's almost like it was meant to get spoken out by you. I like the way you pat my head after I did something stupid or good. I like the way you always help me whenever I don’t get something in class. I like the way you always find the right words for the right situation. I like the way you wrap your arms around my small body, and surround me with your encouraging warmth.
“Are you still there?” his voice brought me back from my thoughts. “Uh sorry, I-I spaced out” a small chuckle came from the other side of the phone.
The chuckle which made my heart skip a beat.
“I like you” finally, I could say it. After hearing his encouraging chuckle, I could finally tell him how I felt.
“I really like you” you repeated yourself, and suddenly Hajime got quiet.
“Sorry, you probably got the wrong number… You know that this is not Oikawa?” he suddenly asked, making you confused.
“I know, Hajime. I like you, Iwaizumi, not Oikawa” you reassured him. The sudden silence made you panic.
Did he not like you back?
I mean, what did you expect? The ace from Aoba Johsai would like you back? Why-
“I like you too” it felt like all the weight was lifted from your shoulders. A small sigh of relief left your lips.
“You really scared me, silly!”
He laughed again softly at you complaining about his reaction.
“Sorry, this felt too surreal for a moment. I didn’t know what to say in the first place.”
“It’s okay! Don’t worry, I didn’t mean to make you uncomfortable, I wanted to confess to you in person but you know I got too nervous at the thought and so I thought it would be better to confess over the phone, but it seemed then also like a stupid idea but then I suddenly called you and-”
He quickly cut you off.
“I really thought you liked Oikawa. He is usually the one who gets confessions” he confessed now, making you frown.
“Yeah, I know”
“But I am glad that not just someone likes me, but you like me” you felt the blood rush up to your cheeks again at his words, and your heart literally melts at how sweet his words were. They may be simple to anyone, but somehow, he always managed to make your heart skip a beat.
“Hajime” you whined out in awe.
“Let me finish” he playfully hissed, making you laugh a little.
“Oikawa always gets all the attention. In volleyball, in class, around girls, even around some guys.” he continued.
“I never really cared about this all. I never wanted to get actually any attention. I enjoyed being a secondary character. I enjoyed being not in the spotlight, but honestly, after I saw you two guys talking and laughing, I seriously wished that I was the main character for once.”
Hearing him sigh, made you feel only worse.
“Hajime...” sulking a little to yourself, you could only think of how bad he felt.
Usually, he always comforted you. Usually, he always let you talk off your worries, let you cry on your shoulder, and now it was your time to finally return his actions.
“You always talk about how you are the secondary character in Oikawa's story, but in your story, the roles are switched.” you tried to reassure him.
“Sure, you are always the secondary character in others' lives, but one day you will meet someone, who thinks that you are the protagonist. One day you will meet someone who-”
“I already meet someone whose main character I am”
“Eh?”
“It’s you, idiot!”
“Oh”
---
You still can remember how long this call went on. You can still remember how you two were just talking off the whole night, how you two were just laughing at how oblivious you had been all the time.
And now, you are here, on the third anniversary with him, in the restaurant he took you out on your first date.
McDonald’s.
You were not kidding, you two literally sat every year there, having the same menu every year, and the same conversation. It never got tired though, and that’s what had been one of the best things about your relationship; You two never got tired of each other.
Because you had been destined to finish each other's story, as the protagonists.

| | “i’m already home”
Cheers roared throughout the whole stadium - a very sweet sound ringing through your ears as you watch the team beneath you scream their hearts out; hugging each other with tears brimming down their cheeks as if their lives depended on the game.
Well, it did. It was the game that would help them get to the Olympics, the final step in becoming one of the best teams to represent the country.
The cheers didn’t seem to die out nor did the beating of your heart when you met his gaze for the umpteenth time. There was a tug on the corner of his lips when you didn’t tear away from his stare, unleashing the butterflies from the cages.
“Arigatou gozaimashita!!”
His eyes glimmered with pride and you knew that he wanted you to see him shine in the court where the two of you promised to be at when you were kids. With a nod from you, it was inevitable for a smile to creep its way to his lips; the smile you always adored.
It wasn’t just a smile. It was the smile Iwaizumi reserved only for you. A smile like no other.
-
“Ne, ne, Iwa-chan... where do you want to celebrate?” you query, a little spring to your steps which only made Iwaizumi smile at such sight. “You’re awfully happy today, (y/n)-chan.” Iwaizumi casually teased with a playful grin.
Rolling your eyes at the man, you turn around to face him; stopping him from bumping into you. “You haven’t answered my question.” you pouted as you cross your arms over your chest, tapping your foot impatiently as you zeroed in on him.
“And you still haven’t told me what you were itching to tell me a while ago.” Iwaizumi retaliated with his sharp eyes looking down at you, pressuring you to spill whatever you wanted to tell him.
“Ne, Iwa-chan! I-... You were-” you stuttered as you felt the rush of heat going from your neck to your cheeks. Iwaizumi peers over his shoulder as he ties his shoes, nodding at his fellow teammates as they leave the room.
“I was what?” he asks while slinging his gym bag over his shoulder, eyes meeting your (e/c) orbs with a glint of curiosity.
“N-nevermind!” you quickly transferred your gaze upfront with the most ‘convincing’ grin you could ever pull off.
“Oi, you better stop hanging around Trashykawa. You’re becoming more like him whenever I see you.”
You knew how much you wanted to tell him he did a great job, however, there’s just something about how he looked had your heart hammering against your chest - getting you all nervous and clammy.
“I’ll tell you once you d-decide where we’re going to celebrate your victory.” you mumbled, lower lip tugged outward into a pout while avoiding his gaze.
No matter how much he would want to deny it, he just couldn’t seem to get enough of you. You were you. You never changed for anyone - staying true to yourself. And maybe that’s one thing Iwaizumi liked about you.
The way your lips tug into the warmest smile whenever your eyes meet his during a game, how your eyes sparkle when you tell him about your day or how awesome he was when he did straight-ahead spikes, or how your cheeks would be dusted in pink whenever you got embarrassed on doing the cutest things just to see him smile.
(l/n) (y/n). The name that sounded so beautiful in his mouth. Was there even a name more beautiful than yours? For sure there wasn’t, according to Iwaizumi.
Chuckling at your cute antics, you couldn’t help but get startled when you feel his hand on your head, ruffling it in response to your remark. “Alright, alright.” he gives up before tugging your arm, pulling you towards the direction of your destination. “So, where shall we celebrate?”
“You’ll see.”
-
Whenever you spent time with Iwaizumi, you couldn’t help but notice how everything just pass by so fast. The moment you arrived at the place where you and Iwaizumi usually ate after his practices, you couldn’t help but gleam at the sight of all your favorite foods placed right in front of you.
“You’re the best, Iwa-chan-”
“Huh, you’re not gonna call me how you used to call me, (y/n)?” he scoffs when he saw how flustered you’ve become. A mumbling mess to be exact.
With the pads of your fingers meeting the hem of your hoodie, all you could look at was anything except his chocolate orbs. You knew what he meant and yet, you couldn’t bring yourself to call him with the nickname you gave him years ago.
Haji... he’s always been my Haji since we were toddlers... you thought as you continued to stall, only to receive a soft flick on your forehead making you look at him dead straight in the eyes with a gasp.
“Did you just flick me, Iwa-chan?”
Iwaizumi wasn’t sure whether you were trying to be scary or not but he, for sure, knows that you’re still cute despite trying to look all scary and mad. Rolling his eyes in response, he brings up a slice of pizza up to your lips. “Open up.”
His chocolate brown orbs looked at you, waiting for you to take a bite. You knew you didn’t have a choice - not when he’s looking at you with those eyes. Eyes that were of earthy hue; filled with nothing but warmth and sincerity.
Taking a bite from the pizza, you angrily ate beside him with a pout - receiving the pizza with both hands as you avoided his gaze. “Now, what were you planning to tell me? It seems like you’ve forgotten your promise.” he muses as he continued to put a variety of dishes on your plate.
Right, I haven’t told him yet...
“You did great out there, Haji... I’m really proud of you.” your voice was soft, a whisper that was only loud enough for Iwaizumi to hear. The words that his heart longed to hear were finally laid out for him; his eyes immediately meeting your (e/c) orbs to see any hint of sincerity.
[a/n: s/c - skin color]
The (s/c) cheeks were not the only ones dusted in pink; the tips of your ears were now in a darker shade compared to your cheeks. Were you embarrassed? Kinda. Why so? You, yourself don’t even know why you’re all jittery under his gaze.
Iwaizumi has always been your Haji, a brother you couldn’t replace but for some reason, every single part of you screamed otherwise.
You always felt weak when it came to him, you always felt calm when you’re in his arms, and you always felt like you were in cloud nine whenever you guys rather spend time with each other. And yet, you always felt like exploding whenever you could feel his gaze at you -  like now. “I know I’ve told you this a lot of times but... I genuinely am happy and proud of you, H-haji.”
“You’ve grown so much- you’ve improved so much that it warms my heart to see you become the man you are right now.” you reach out to take his hands in yours, casting your gaze on both of your hands. With your thumb rubbing gentle circles on the back of his hand, it seemed to calm you down, but it sent shivers down Iwaizumi’s spine.
His hands felt rough against yours, yet you still loved them. It may be calloused, but it was a reminder of how hardworking your Haji was. “I’m glad to be beside you on this journey of yours, Haji.”
“O-oi... w-what’s gotten into you?” Iwaizumi stuttered with cheeks and ears tinted in red. The way his heart pounded against his heart scared him; scared that you might hear how loud it was. Iwaizumi has loved you throughout these years, and just hearing the things you said sent him into bliss.
Giggling at his question, you didn’t mind how his tongue seemed to be caught in a knot as you look up to him with a smile. “My Haji’s all grown up!” you faked tears, throwing your arms around him while rubbing your cheeks on his shoulder.
And with just your usual antics, Iwaizumi was red enough to pass out from embarrassment which sent you into a laughing fit.
“S-Stop it!”
-
Both of your tummies, and also your hearts, were full from the simple celebration. It hasn’t been a while since the two of you walked side by side.
The sky was dusted with black tranquility – a choir of stars danced around the serenade of black. The cold wind planted kisses on your faces, leaving rosy marks on both of your cheeks and nose. Times like these are the sole reason as to why Iwaizumi loves walking with you.
It reminded him of how content he was with having you by his side. Just walking with you sent his heart into a wonderful bliss. Glancing at your figure from time to time, he couldn’t help but notice the tiny details.
The way your eyelashes would create shadows over your cheeks due to its length, the way your nose and the corner of your eye crinkled when the wind blew, and the way your red, plump lips tug into a smile were enough for him to smile.
Seeing your apartment from afar, you turn your body towards Iwaizumi; only to be startled when you see him looking at you already. “Ne, ne, Haji, you can just drop me here since my apartment’s near already!”
“No.” Iwaizumi was adamant in sending you home since he had a mission to complete. A mission, well, more like a promise he made with himself. The sound of your whines was enough to snap him out from his own train of thoughts, casting his gaze back to you with eyebrows furrowed in response. “If something were to happen to you, I swear Trashykawa would kill me (y/n),” he adds, taking your silence as an opportunity to drag you towards your apartment.
“Oikawa this, Oikawa that! He doesn’t even care if something’s going to happen to me-“
“Are you sure? As much I can remember, Shittykawa would always nag at me whenever I leave you for a second.” Iwaizumi knew how much Oikawa loved you as a little sister and it was only reasonable for him to use Oikawa as an excuse every damn time. Rolling your eyes at your best friend, you huffed and puffed your cheeks in frustration – allowing him to drag you all the way to your apartment.
The two of you stood right in front of your doorway with you grinning at Iwaizumi. “Thanks for walking me home, Haji!” you beamed while connecting your hand with the doorknob, only to be stopped by Iwaizumi. “I’m not yet going home, (y/n).”
Baffled by his words, you furrow your eyebrows at him. “Iwa-chan,” you paused as you crossed your arms over your chest for the umpteenth time for the day, “you need to go home and rest. You’ve done so well today!”
“I don’t want to,” Iwaizumi firmly retaliates. His stubbornness was enough for you to lose your cool. You tried your best to push him away from your door, but of course, you only failed knowing how strongly-built your best friend was. “Just go home already and rest!” you whined with arms still wrapped around the wing spiker.
Looking down at you to meet your glistening eyes, Iwaizumi tilts his head with arms wrapping themselves around you.
“But…” he pauses for a while and continues, “I’m already home.”
What? you were frozen in your place, unable to understand what he was trying to say. “You’re already home?” Your grip around him was starting to loosen up. It was as if he took every ounce of energy left in you with that sentence, but you also couldn’t seem to look away from his gaze.
“I’m already home,” Iwaizumi’s face didn’t show any hint of insincerity and the way his arms around her tightened had her head spinning. “I’ve found my home in you.”
He found his home in me? your ears couldn’t believe what they were hearing. Iwaizumi, your best friend since childhood, found his home in you. What did he mean? Was it literally or…
“I’ve promised myself that if we win the game a while ago, I’ll fess up.” He pauses as he gently pushes away a strand of hair from your face, tucking them behind your ear just to see your face clearly. “I’ve always loved you, (y/n). I have and always will love you for who you are.”
“Ever since we were young, I knew right there and then that you were special to me. Special in a way where all I could see was you, no matter how hard I try to defy my feelings, it has always been you, (y/n). I couldn’t be the person I am right now if it weren’t for you.” Iwaizumi’s sudden revelation had your heart go wild, opening all the cages you have inside of you. You always knew Iwaizumi was a man of his words and never did he lie to you when it came to speaking from the heart.
“You made me see things in a better light. You believed in me when no one did. You accepted me for who I am, continuously accepting me with open arms… I don’t even get why you do so when there are tons of men stumbling on their feet just to get your attention.” He continued, ignoring the widening of your eyes when you felt his heart beating so loudly against his chest. He was nervous but if he were to stop now, he’d regret it for the rest of his life.
Iwaizumi pulls away from the hug, taking your hands in his as he continued to search for your eyes - only to be met by your (e/c) orbs. “And for all of it, I thank you for making me feel this way, (y/n). I love you. I really do. Not as a sister or a friend.” he ends his confession with a shy smile. Soon, embarrassment dawning on him, he scratches the back of his head while avoiding your gaze.
“Y-you know, you don’t need to tell me how you feel about me right now. I will respect how you feel and your decisions... I just wanted to tell you how I honestly felt towards you and how much I want to cherish you for the rest of my life-”
“I love you too, Haji. I’ve always loved you.” you cut him off with a smile. The way how his eyes softened at your confession made your heart flutter once more. You always knew Iwaizumi was special to you - no one could ever compare to him, no matter what you did, no one came close to Iwaizumi.
“Aren’t you going to ask me that question, Haji?” wrapping your arms around his neck, you tug him closer ‘til your lips were centimeters apart. Flustered at your actions Iwaizumi couldn’t help but swallow his saliva, eyes trying to focus on you. “Then... W-will you be my girlfriend, (y/n)?”
“Of course, I’d love to be yours.” you cheekily answered as you pulled him into a kiss, closing in the space in between the two of you.
The two of you stayed in that position for a couple more seconds before pulling away with cheeks dusted in pink. Raising your hand to cup his cheeks, you leaned in once more before placing one last peck against his soft, plump lips.
“Welcome home, my Haji.”

Red Butterflies - chapter 1
This is my attempt at getting back into writing and at Kamunami. I hope you enjoy!
This is basically an AU in which Sakakura told Munakata what he knew about Junko.
Summary: Chiaki Nanami hasn’t seen Hajime Hinata in over a year, and she’s finally decided to move on.
Read on AO3
The sun was about to set when Chiaki Nanami finally gave up and decided to head back to her dorm. Despite the sunlight hitting her face, she wasn’t feeling warm or grateful for the beauty of the moment. There once was a time when she would look at the sky turning orange, basking the buildings that made up the academy in majestic  golden light, and she’d think about how lucky she was to be witnessing that moment. But that feeling was gone. It had slowly left her, along with him. She had to face it: he wouldn’t be joining her anymore, no matter how long she waited. It had been over a year since she’d last seen him, after all. And yet, part of her still hoped that she would see him again. That even if she hadn’t managed to work up the courage to tell him how she felt, she would get the chance to make up for it eventually. Wrapping her fingers around her backpack straps, she sighed. It hurt, but she wouldn’t wait anymore. Hinata-kun wasn’t coming back. She knew it.
The sun continued to set, and Chiaki stared at the ground as she slowly walked towards the place she’d been calling home for the past two years. She tried to remember their last encounter, as if it could hold some sort of answer. But just like every night for the past year, the list of questions she needed to find a response to only grew bigger with every effort she made to ease her pain. It was true that a lot had happened in the year he had stopped showing up to play video games with her, but it all seemed completely unrelated to what had been going on with them. Almost as if they had nothing to do with it. This meant that whatever she was looking for lay in her memory of the last evening they’d spent time together. There was only one problem: as time went by, that memory was fading away. She remembered everything about him, from how the color of his suit and hair made his green eyes stand out, to his smile and the way he would chuckle every time she beat him at video games. If she focused just hard enough, she could still hear his voice, and her heart would start beating faster when she’d recall the way he would say her name. But she couldn’t remember anything she’d done or said. There was something so special about him. And that special thing, even though she had no idea what it was or what to call it, had made her feel as though she was drunk every time she’d spent time with him. And because of that, she couldn’t remember what had pushed him away from her.
She walked in her room, kicked her shoes off and closed the curtains to avoid the golden light that painfully reminded her of him.
“I’m home,” she spoke softly, as if to snap herself out of her thoughts.
She was grateful that there was nothing special about her room. Other than the few video game posters she’d hung over the time she’d spent here, it looked just like any high school student’s dorm room. That was what she liked so much about it. She could just sit here for hours, playing the games she liked so much without being reminded of how special she was for attending Hope’s Peak Academy and being class rep. It was true that when it had first happened, Chiaki was thrilled with both of these opportunities, especially the latter. But now without Hinata-kun around, it felt like a sham when she was at her lowest. What was so special about her if the only guy she had ever felt anything towards had been able to completely cut contact with her out of nowhere? Sure, she was good at video games and remained undefeated, but that was all there was to her talent. In a way, she thought it was all there was to her as a person, and she hated it. He’d made her feel different, confident almost, and she missed it. She missed him. That was why she had kept the habit pf waiting for him near the fountain every day after he classes ended, even a year after he had stopped showing up. She longed for him, and for all the things he’d made her feel in their short time together.
No more of this, she thought. Sure, every moment I’ve spent with Hinata-kun was amazing, but I can’t keep feeling this way. I didn’t do anything to him. I tried my best to help him and to make him feel like his lack of talent didn’t mean anything to me. It’s not my fault he stopped hanging out with me. It’s not my fault the feelings were one-sided. Chiaki took a deep breath, gathering her thoughts. It’s just a shame he disappeared a few days before the academy finally started changing for the best. It’s probably why it’s so hard to move on. I don’t know what he’s up to, and I don’t know if Munakata-san’s way of running things has helped him. I hope it has, and I wish I could see it for myself. I wish I could give him back what he’s given me, even though he’s taken it all away so abruptly.
She crashed onto her bed and closed her eyes. Even though she couldn’t help herself, she knew it was pointless to keep thinking about it. She had to move on now and let her life go back to normal. That’s why she’d made her decision: this evening was the last time she’d wait for him by the fountain. She had waited long enough. Besides, it was about time she’d stop neglecting her class rep duties. She slapped her cheeks and sat up. If she’d just try, things would turn out okay, right? Hinata-kun may have abandoned her, but Yukizome-sensei and her classmates had chosen her as class rep, and regardless of how she’d been acting since he stopped showing up to their gaming sessions, that hadn’t changed. She had to gain back that confidence her first year at Hope’s Peak had given her. And to make that happen, she knew she had to look back on her time with him as a positive experience that had helped her grow as a person, rather than as something she needed in her life to feel good. Of course, all of this was easier said than done, and she knew it as well. But she would still try. She finally felt ready. It was as though deciding to stop waiting around for Hinata-kun to come back had lifted a huge weight off her chest; a weight that had been keeping her from having the strength to move forward and keep growing for a year.
Figuring that it was enough introspecting for the day, Chiaki grabbed her gaming console and turned it on. For now, she would just do what she did best. But since today marked the day she finally gave up on Hinata-kun, she would do something she hadn’t done in a year. She would play with someone else, and she would beat them. Games are fun, she smiled to herself. I can enjoy and share them with people who aren’t Hinata-kun. Focusing on the bright screen and smashing the controls almost rhythmically, Chiaki did just that. She hadn’t played against someone else in what felt like forever, but she was happy to notice that it hadn’t gotten boring, even though Hinata-kun would never be her opponent again. However, that specific match didn’t last long.
“Huh? I lost?” Chiaki’s eyes widened. She had never lost against anyone else before. There was a reason why Hope’s Peak Academy had recruited her as the Ultimate Gamer. Well, maybe I was just too lost in thought to win this one. She quickly opened the chat room and typed in two simple words: Rematch please? She wanted to know if there now was someone who was better at video games than she was, or if she had really just been too distracted by all the introspecting she had done earlier. She was practically sure it wouldn’t be the former, but she entertained the thought as she waited for her opponent’s reply. What exactly would she do? Would she be just another high school girl? Would she have to leave Hope’s Peak?
The sound of the chat notification brought her attention back to the screen. The words ‘No. This is boring.’ had appeared, and she couldn’t believe it. Had she really been so bad that the person she’d been playing against had been bored the entire time? She quickly typed an apology, explaining that she would be more focused this time and promising that the rematch wouldn’t be boring. A few seconds later, the stranger obliged and started another game. Chiaki sat up, furrowed her brow, and gave it her all. She couldn’t let anyone believe that the games she loved so much were boring, especially not after playing against her. But no matter how hard she tried, she lost again. She was confused. It’d never happened before. How could this person beat her twice in a row?
It wasn’t long before the chat notification snapped her out of her thoughts again. And once again, the screen read a short and simple sentence: ‘As expected, I won. Boring.’ Chiaki felt slightly frustrated. Sure, she’d stopped playing with other people after Hinata-kun had disappeared, but she had kept playing on her own. There was no way she’d just become bad at video games. She replied, asking the opponent if he wanted to try another game. In a way, no matter how frustrating this was, she had to admit she also felt excited about it. There was something thrilling about not knowing whether she’d win or not. That didn’t mean she hadn’t had fun every time she’d played with her classmates, but this was different. And right now, she liked different. Routine was comforting, but something new would make it easier to move and stop brooding over what happened a year ago. Once the stranger accepted to play another game, she hurriedly sent them a friend request. Izukura, huh? If I just try, if I give it my best, I’ll win. And you won’t be able to call this boring a third time.
This went on like this for hours, until the mysterious Izukura disconnected and stopped responding to her messages. However, Chiaki wasn’t bothered by it. For the first time since Hinata-kun had left, she had fun playing video games. It didn’t matter that she’d lost every single match they had played together. She was only grateful that she got to experience this. And to think I could have experienced this a few months ago, if only I had chosen to move on. How silly am I? She got off her bed and opened the curtains. The golden light of the sunset had given place to the dark shades of the night. Chiaki looked up at the moon and thought that the scenery was just as beautiful as the one she was used to meeting Hinata-kun in.

oooo happy 300! how about iwa with #1 ;P
oh i totally forgot to include angst for the iwa ask!! sorry!! i read the rules my brain just shut off when requesting
Don’t you worry about it, anon! Sorry everyone, I stuck with female pronouns - force of habit...
~
Prompt 1 : “What the fuck is wrong with you?”
The universe was never on your side.
If you were to be honest, you were almost completely, 100% sure that your relationship with Hajime was breaking apart.
It wasn’t like the two of you were dating or anything. Pfft, even Hajime would laugh at the mere thought.
But you wouldn’t.
In fact, the idea of you being his girlfriend was your dream, your most deepest desire. It was one of your many fantasies.
But of course, dreams were dreams and not real life.
--
Honestly, when Haijime told you that he had, somehow, found himself a girlfriend, you could feel your whole world breaking apart.
Sure, he had known Oikawa ever since childhood, but you had known him since birth.
Literally.
You could name so many things that hurt you in tiny punches, which grew into roundhouse kicks, and your heart was slowly chipping away.
Cancelled days to hang out, unanswered texts and calls, only seeing him during break times at school, but never being able to go up to him because he was always with his girlfriend and you never had the courage to go up to him because she was just so freaking pretty.
So, of course, you turned to Tooru. You’ve also known him since childhood, due to Hajime.
Tooru told you that he was always free, but if you wanted Hajime, you would have to book an appointment. You knew that was a joke, but it kinda hit harder than Tooru thought it would. Hell, even Tooru himself was being a bit neglected.
Of course, you knew that you didn’t really have the rights to be jealous over the new girl who you didn’t even bother learning the name of, but you couldn’t help it.
After another week or so of being neglected as number one best friend (Oikawa begs to differ), you finally gathered up the courage to go up to him.
You would never, ever, let anyone know, but when you figured out that Hajime’s girlfriend was absent today, you cheered in delight in the bathroom. Well, if you count cheering as thanking the gods that you would finally get the attention you deserved.
However, before you even entered the cafeteria for the morning break, Tooru came up to you with a sour look on his face.
“...Tooru?”
“(Name),” he blinked. “Ah...he’s on the phone right now,” he muttered, stepping over to the side so you could see.
True to his word, Hajime was sitting alone at a table near the back of the cafeteria with his phone at his ear. He was smiling, but you could clearly see that he was upset.
“...I’m gonna go and talk to him,” you stated firmly. You could see Tooru’s eyes widen.
“You can’t!” he gasped.
“And why not?” you scoffed, already walking away. You didn’t really want to listen to his complaints right now.
Hajime’s voice slowly became louder with every step.
After what seemed like hours of walking, you reached his table.
But he didn’t even look up at you.
You could feel your heart pounding like it always did whenever you were around him.
It hurt.
After a few more moments of standing there like a stalker, you cleared your throat. Hajime jumped, having never realised that you were actually there.
“Jeez, (Name),” he muttered. “Hold on for a second, babe,”
God, that felt a punch to the gut.
“What is it, (Name)?”
You gulped, the world seemed to stop. “...can we talk?”
Hajime blinked before sighing heavily and lifting his phone back to his ear.
What the fuck?
“Sorry, babe, something came up,”
You stood there for another three minutes, listening to Hajime indirectly complain about having to talk to you. After he hung up the phone, he stood up and walked out, expecting you to follow.
The walk outside was awkward. Usually, it would consist of you talking his ear off, but now?
Now talking felt like you were begging someone for permission to cry.
Hajime had led you outside. You were currently standing three meters apart.
“What’s up?”
‘I love you, that’s what,’ was what you wanted to say.
But you couldn’t bring yourself to.
“I...” you swallowed hard. Hajime waited, seeming to get a little bit annoyed.
“Tooru and I...you...” you didn’t know how to start.
“You and Shittykawa? What’re you up to now?”
“We’re not up to anything,” you clicked your tongue. It was annoying whenever he accused you for Tooru’s shenanigans. “I’ll...say it straight. You’re neglecting us.”
It took a lot of strength for you to say it out loud, and the look of confusion on his face was painful to watch.
“How? I’m not your mother or anything,” Hajime murmured, tilting his head to the side. “How would I neglect you when I don’t care about you?”
Fuck.
You could feel your eyes and nose burning as you breathed in a shaky, staggered breath.
You knew that he probably didn’t mean it in the way that you took it, but Hajime was always one to think about his words.
Or rather, that was what you thought.
“What the fuck is wrong with you?”
You couldn’t do this anymore.
Sure, you weren’t his girlfriend or anything.
Sure, you didn’t have the right to be jealous.
Sure, you weren’t really supposed to love him.
But you couldn’t help it.
--
You hummed softly to yourself as you headed down the street. You were currently walking to the new library that had just opened up, you really wanted to check out the actual spinning bookshelves.
The moment you turned the corner, you hurried over to the fresh, marble steps and climbed them, two at a time.
You bit back a grin that would really make you look like a crazy maniac.
You pushed open the glass doors and stepped inside, inhaling the smell of fresh, new pages.
Your bag bounced against your thigh as you scurried over to a table near the fantasy section. You waved to an employee, who grinned and waved back. Feeling a bit adventurous, you left your bag on the table and rushed to the nearest bookshelf.
You squealed softly as you grabbed a small bar which was used for helping the bookcase turn. Gosh, you would stay here for hours doing just that if you could.
Before you knew it, you had finished two 300 paged book in the span of an hour and a half. You had stood up to put them back when...
There was a familiar figure standing right at the shelf where you had pulled the books from. You froze.
All the emotions you had felt that day flooded you. You blinked once, twice, three times, but the figure was still there, pondering over the spines of the books.
As usual, unluckily for you, the figure had turned around just before you could scurry away.
Eye contact was made, realisation and recognition flashed.
It seemed like you were stuck in time.
The moment was over before you had even realised that it started.
You swallowed hard before bowing your head and taking short, shaky steps towards the case.
God, you wanted this to be over already, but your body wasn’t listning to you.
You reached for an empty space between a few books and carefully pushed them back in.
And then, you turned and ran.
Well, rather, you tried to.
Your legs seemed to be filled up with lead. Your bag felt like it was being held back by bricks.
The stinging pain in your chest wouldn’t go away, no matter how hard you tried to force it to.
Suddenly, there was a tight grip around your wrist.
Your eyes widened, and you turned your head around.
“...(Name)?”
God, his voice.
You shook your head and turned back around, trying to tug your hand out of his grasp, but he held on tighter.
Your breath hitched.
“(Name),” he called again.
“Let go, Iwaizumi.”
You could tell that the tone of your voice and the fact that you had used his last name had surprised him, for his grip had loosened, but by the tiniest fraction.
He didn’t let go.
“I said,” your voice cracked. “Let go.”
Your last words were whispers when they escaped your throat.
And so, he did, ever so slowly.
“...I....” Hajime began, gulping. “We...I broke up with her.”
“I never asked.”
He visibly flinched.
Even you were surprised at your voice.
“...do you think...”
You knew what he was going to ask. Fuck, you knew good and well, and yet, you wanted oh so badly to say yes.
But right now?
Right now, everything aside from him mattered the most.
“Do you think we can try?”
You didn’t look back, because you knew the look in his eyes would have you already running into his arms.
Your gut was teared between the right decision and more pain, or the wrong decision and even more pain.
You didn’t want to give up anymore.
You shook your head. “I’m sorry, Iwaizumi,” you bit your lip as you mustered a strange bow and began walking out of the library.
“But you never really tried in the first place.”
