Mingi flung his head back and sighed loudly in the dressing room as he stood before the vanity. He felt your presence behind him and immediately spun around, his shaggy hair covering the sadness in his eyes. You took a hesitant step towards him before he lashed out.
“What are you doing here?” Mingi spat out.
You winced. Sure, Mingi looked like he could kill someone, but in the time you knew him, he was the sweetest fucking cinnamon roll.
“I c-came to support you and the boys,” you murmured— it was the truth. You just wanted to support the band you had come to love, but honestly, you also wanted to see Mingi because you missed him. You missed him so fucking much.
“I told you to never let me see you again, Y/N. What is so fucking hard to understand about that?” Mingi huffed and ran his fingers through his hair, messing it up further.
“But why?” your voice wavered, tears threatening to spill out of your eyes. Tears actually did spill out of your eyes when you cried, “Why are you doing this? Can you tell me what I did wrong? Please? You break up with me over a phone call and tell me you want nothing to do with me, but you never said why!”
Mingi flinched. He hated seeing you cry, and he desperately wanted to just hug you and dry your tears, but he couldn’t. He had to stay away from you, and he couldn’t figure out a way to keep you away without just telling you to stay away. He wasn’t one to cheat or to move on so easily— hell, he had been performing for years, and it took him years to find someone like you, someone who could make everything go away, someone he could actually fall in love with— so he couldn’t bring himself to lie to you. He just needed you to trust him and to just stay away.
“Just get out of my face. Don’t ever come near me again,” Mingi bit out.
He didn’t even brush past you on his way out. He completely avoided you. You fell to your knees and cried as the curtains to the room swished upon his departure.
Before he could even get two steps away from the dressing room, Mingi ran into the one person he did not want to run into.
“Dude, I did what you fucking asked, okay?” he held his hands up and took a step away from him. “I didn’t do shit.”
“I know. I just came to collect,” he responded. “We’ll be out of your hair.”
Mingi nodded and quickly got away before the conversation could persist. He left the venue and slammed the door on his way out. He wanted to just run away into the night, but it was pouring. Of course it was raining. He settled for leaning against the side of the establishment and fishing his carton of cigarettes and his favorite lighter out of his back pocket. He lit one up and took a deep drag before the pain in his heart started to subside.
“I thought I’d find you here,” Mingi heard the bassist’s voice behind him.
“Not now, Yeosang,” Mingi murmured.
“No, dude. Spit it out. One day, Y/N was the love of your life, and the next you’re screaming at her to leave you alone? Nothing’s adding up,” Yeosang pushed further.
“Yeah, we’ll only be able to help you if you tell us what’s going on,” the keyboardist, Yunho, added.
Mingi found himself boxed in by the members of his band and let out his twentieth deep sigh of the day. “Fine,” Mingi mumbled as he took another drag from his cigarette. “But after I tell you guys, I don’t want to hear another word of it. I don’t want to hear her name ever again, got it?”
The men nodded, allowing Mingi to finally reveal what had happened between the two of you.
Tumblr media
“Hey, who was that preppy chick in the front row?” the red-headed drummer asked his fellow bandmates.
“Beats me, dude,” Yunho shrugged. “She definitely doesn’t belong here, though.”
“Yeah, she’s like super preppy and shit,” the guitarist giggled.
“Isn’t that your type though, Wooyoung?” the drummer pointed out.
“…Shut up, San,” Wooyoung grumbled.
“It is weird, though. I’ve seen her so many times at our concerts. Is she one of our groupies?” Yeosang asked.
“Are groupies even a thing anymore?” Mingi furrowed his eyebrows.
“She’s definitely not a drug dealer from the looks of her,” San mused out loud.
“Okay, that was one time, and she seemed excited to be considered a groupie. I wasn’t talking to her because she sold— and I’m not about that shit! I haven’t done any more since I met you guys!”
“Mingi! Chill, that’s not what he was talking about!” Yunho grabbed Mingi’s shoulder to calm him down before he could throw a tantrum. “Besides, you almost went to jail. We know you don’t do drugs, so you don’t gotta get all defensive on us.”
“Yeah, okay, fine,” Mingi reclaimed his shoulder and adjusted his sweater before plopping to the ground.
“Anyway, that preppy girl— how many shows has she been at now?”
“Eight,” Yeosang answered immediately, only for four pairs of eyes to shoot directly to him and widen. “Not that I’ve been counting! …I’m just observant guys.”
“”Observant”,” Wooyoung mocked.
Before Yeosang could get up to slap the giggling guitarist silly, there was a knock on the dressing room door. Mingi got up and answered the door to see one of the stage managers standing there, a look of irritation on their face.
“Yes?”
“I thought we said you weren’t allowed to give anyone backstage access,” the stage manager said with disgust.
“We didn’t though?”
“Uh, actually…” San interjected and slowly raised his hand, the other four bandmates immediately groaning and yelling at the boy.
“Come on, man— We just talked about this!”
“You seriously suck.”
“That email was literally sent for you, San!”
“Sorry, sorry! I’ll handle it!” San held his hands up and scurried out of the room.
“Someone go with him to make sure he isn’t going to do stupid shit,” Yunho sighed while rolling his eyes.
“On it,” Mingi grumbled.
Leaving the other three to apologize profusely to the stage manager, Mingi left in pursuit of San. He got into the lobby of the venue and saw San with his arm already around the waist of the girl he had invited back to the dressing room— that bastard. Mingi made a mad dash for them, only to turn the corner and nearly crash into you, the preppy girl that looked like she didn’t belong at a rock concert, the preppy girl that Wooyoung (and also maybe Yeosang) had a tiny crush on. Well, he nearly crashed into you, but that didn’t stop you from tripping over your own two feet and falling back on your butt.
“Oh shit, I’m so sorry,” Mingi apologized as he held out a hand to help you up.
“Can you—” you were about to tell the tall figure off, only to see his face and recognize him as the lead vocalist of your current favorite band: IT’S YOU(TH). “— sign my bra?”
You immediately clapped your hands over your mouth, your face burning red from sheer embarrassment. Mingi couldn’t help but laugh— so many girls had asked him to sign their bras in the past, but no one was ever shy about it, so your reaction to the words flying out of your mouth was honestly hysterical.
“I mean, I can if you want,” Mingi replied, a chuckle still lingering in his voice.
“R-really?” you squeaked.
One signed bra, eleven concerts, sixteen dates, and eighty-eight days later, Mingi was absolutely in love with you. Of course, he would never admit it first, but everyone in IT’S YOU(TH)— and honestly the whole damn world— could tell that the lead vocalist and guitarist of the young up-and-coming rock band was head-in-the-clouds, rose-tinted-glasses, cupid-shot-an-arrow-through-his-soul in love.
“Okay, Miss Astronomer, what am I looking at?” Mingi whispered to you, his lips dangerously near your ear.
IT’S YOU(TH) just finished their set for the night, and Mingi had promised you that he would be right by your side as soon as the concert ended. The two of you had driven way out of the city to the local rural area and laid in the wheat fields while staring up at the night sky. You had promised Mingi a night under the stars when he found out you spent four years of further education to study astronomy and physics, and you were finally delivering on that promise.
“So, that right there?” you whispered back as you started your astronomy lesson. “That’s you.”
“What?”
“That’s the Leo constellation,” you giggled— Mingi wasn’t really one for astrology.
“Oh, I get it,” Mingi responded with a half-hearted laugh, then genuinely asked, “But where is it?”
“Right there,” you responded as you traced the sky.
“Where?”
“Here,” you reached for Mingi’s hand and held it so that his pointer finger would be out. You then brought his hand to the sky and traced it for him with his hand. “Right… There…”
Mingi shifted ever so slightly closer to you the second you held his hand, and you felt his breath hit your neck as he rubbed his nose against your ear. You stifled a little moan mixed with a giggle and brought his hand down, his fingers lacing with yours as he did so.
“Can I… Tell you about my favorite star?” you asked him as you turned your head to face his.
“Tell me.”
You completely turned your body and scooted closer to him, his own body turning so he could face you properly. He let go of your hand so he could move his arm under your head to rest, and you snuggled into his soft chest. You placed your hand lightly on his chest and whispered, “This one. You’re my favorite star.”
“God, princess, you’re so cheesy,” Mingi rolled his eyes, but he had the biggest grin on his face.
“You’re also the brightest star, the prettiest star, the sexiest star,” you continued.
“I’m sexy, you say,” Mingi’s baritone voice dropped further, sending tingles of excitement down your spine.
“Of course you’re sexy. Your messy, dark hair, your smokey eyeshadow, your dark eyeliner,” you started listing, your fingers running through his hair then tiptoeing down his face. “Your beautifully angled nose, your… Soft… Lips…”
Your eyes lingered on his lips— eighty-eight days, and he had yet to kiss you. Well, he had kissed you, but he gave you those fleeting kisses, the kisses so quick that if you blinked, you’d miss them. Or, he’d kiss you “properly”, but those were usually on your forehead or cheek or shoulder— basically everywhere but your lips.
So, when he held your chin with a soft yet somehow still firm grip and tilted your chin up, your entire body flushed with warmth, with anticipation. Then, when his lips pressed against yours, you felt like you were soaring. You always imagined his lips were going to be soft since you spent so much of your time staring at them when he was on stage singing his heart out, and they were so much softer than you could imagine.
One kiss, then he leaned back, his eyes slightly darting back and forth as he observed your facial expression. Your rosy cheeks and small smile, your eyes turning into half crescents and sparkling brilliantly— God, Mingi loved all of it. So he kissed you again, a little more drive and passion behind the second one, and the intensity of his kisses only increased the more he kissed you.
You clung to him as his hand cupped your face, his long fingers brushing the nape of your neck and making you even more flustered. Your breaths and sighs mixed with his as your gentle string of kisses got heavier and hotter.
“What else?” Mingi asked in between kisses breathlessly. “What else do you find sexy?”
“Your neck tattoos.” Kiss. “Your hand tattoos.” Kiss. “Your nails.” Kiss. “Your rings.” Kiss. “Your style.” Kiss. “Your voice.” Kiss. “You.”
“Fuck, you’re so perfect, princess,” Mingi groaned, sending shivers down your spine.
Mingi forcefully disconnected himself from you, making you whimper and nearly whine. He stood up quickly, and before you could even begin to pick yourself up, he scooped you off the ground and carried you to his car. Unlocking it, he laid you down in the back seat and got in with you, his lips mashing into yours the second the car door closed.
His body rolled into yours as his hands roamed your body, your own restless hands tugging at his clothes, begging him to take them off. The sounds of your feverish lip locks with Mingi overpowered the rustling of your clothes and the clinks of his belt as they hit the ground one by one, leaving you completely naked and Mingi in just his underwear. You didn’t know when he managed to, but Mingi grabbed the condom he had stashed in his wallet and tucked it into the waistband of his underwear.
You wanted to ask why he was waiting to, for lack of better words, give it to you, but all of the thoughts and questions in your head disappeared in a heartbeat when Mingi traced two light fingers along your folds. A sigh of pleasure rippled out of your lungs when you felt his fingers slide through your slick and curl within you, the tips of his fingers digging softly into your walls. You could feel his rings press against your folds— they had yet to enter you. But, when he pulled his fingers out then shoved them right back in, he went further, his rings pushing past and into your cunt.
“Oh shit! Mingi!” you moaned loudly as he fingered you consistently and roughly. “Fuck, it feels so good!”
“Just keep moaning prettily like that for me, princess,” Mingi rasped as he added a third finger to the mix, his other hand beginning to massage your breast.
Your nails left red marks on his shoulders as you clung to him, your fingers and toes curling with every stroke. You bit your lower lip every so often so keep your moans to a minimum, but all hope was lost when his thumb started circling your clit, one circle for every stroke, and it definitely didn’t help when he started spreading his fingers inside you and pinched and tugged your nipple. You raked your fingers through Mingi’s hair and pulled him closer to you as you felt your orgasm wash over you, your loud moan sounding through the car.
“Princess, did you cum?” Mingi asked, although he didn’t need to know because he could feel your walls convulsing around his fingers.
You let out a little noise and nodded weakly, tears pooling in the corners of your eyes. Mingi caressed your face and wiped the tears away quickly before kissing you softly.
“Mingi,” you whimpered in between kisses. “I want you in me.”
You thought was going to laugh at the desperation in your voice, but he did anything but. He sat up and stroked your thigh gently as he said, “I’m going to need you to relax, okay?”
Mingi shed his boxers to reveal his massive cock. He just told you to relax, yet you couldn’t help but tense up when you saw what he was working with because he was fucking huge. It only made you even more fearful when you saw the letters XXL on his condom packet.
“Princess, just relax, okay?” Mingi instructed again softly.
He leaned down again and distracted you with his soft lips. His large hands went under your thighs and pushed your legs up, the length of his cock rubbing against your clit before pushing in slowly. You did your best to focus on kissing Mingi and tighten your hold on him to get yourself to loosen up to the best of your ability, but that didn’t stop you from feeling his like cock was going to tear you a new one.
Mingi kept his lips on yours as he moved slowly and calmly, his dick not completely leaving your body nor going all the way inside. He was just warming you up, but you felt like you were about to combust into flames with the way he was making you feel. You moaned and cried into his kisses while he grunted, his own restraint starting to weaken— he didn’t want to hurt you, at least not the first time the two of you had sex together.
The car bounced and shook when Mingi’s last string of self-control snapped. His cock filled you up and went so far deep inside you that you thought he was going to bruise your cervix. The sound of your sloppy kisses and heavy breaths and the raunchy squelches of his cock moving in and out of your soaking cunt harmonized, the sounds nearly escaping the confines of the car. What did escape, though, was your crying moan when Mingi rubbed against your G-spot and hit your cervix at the same time. The two of you came together, Mingi’s low groan ringing in your ears.
You were practically knocked out when Mingi pulled out of you, your weak and trembling hands struggling to push your sweaty hair away from your forehead. Mingi watched with slight amusement as you slowly started to regain your sanity.
“You look so pretty right now, princess,” Mingi said softly, nearly cooing. “I just want to see you disheveled like this under me all the time.”
“Tell me when and where, and I’m there, rockstar.”
Tumblr media
After 100 days of being together, the problem started to arise.
“Hey, pretty princess,” Mingi greeted you as he walked into the coffee shop for your coffee date.
“Hey there, rockstar,” you greeted right back.
Mingi leaned down and kissed your lips quickly before taking the seat in front of you. He reached for your hands and held them, your hands fitting perfectly in his.
“Did you order yet?” he asked.
“Yeah, for both of us.”
Right on cue, one of the baristas announced your drinks were ready. Mingi got up and quickly returned with the drinks in hand. He set both the drinks down, your eager hands immediately picking up your iced one.
You only got to take one sip of your drink when your phone started ringing. You looked at the caller id and immediately declined the call before setting your phone face down on the table, Mingi warily watching all of your actions.
“Who was that?”
“Spam,” you replied with a frown— you hated lying to him, but to be fair, the caller was spamming you, and you had no intention of ever picking up the calls.
“Ugh, hate that,” Mingi grimaced.
“Tell me about it.”
The phone calls persisted. Every time the two of you went on a date or hung out or did anything together, you would get the “spam” calls. Mingi didn’t think much of it at first because spam calls usually were very annoying, but he started to worry when you phone would ring two, three, even four times in a row no matter how many times you declined the call.
“Hnngh— Harder! Fuck— Faster!” you shrilled as Mingi fucked you from behind. “Ugh, Mingi, so good!”
Your face was nearly smashed into your mattress as Mingi ruthlessly stuffed his large cock in your tight hole. He grunted loudly and affirmatively as he gripped your ass harder, his rings digging into your skin, your skin getting redder with his occasional slap.
Mingi was the first to notice. Your phone was on the nightstand, and it was ringing. He slowed his pace so he could reach over and grab it to decline the call on your behalf. He tossed your phone onto the bed near your hand and upped his tempo while pulling your ass higher into the sky.
And yet, your phone rang again. You quickly declined it before Mingi could notice, but he did. It was when it rang for the third time that Mingi had enough.
“Princess,” he grunted. “Gimme your phone.”
“W-why?”
“Just gimme.”
You unlocked your phone and pushed it backwards towards him— you trusted Mingi, so you had no problem doing as he asked. And Mingi didn’t abuse that trust. He simply opened the call log and saw the sea of red missed or declined calls, all of them from the same, unsaved number. He blocked the number and locked your phone before setting it back on the nightstand where it originally was, then he continued to fuck your brains out.
Mingi wanted it to be done then and there, which technically it was because you blocked the number, but that didn’t stop a bad feeling from manifesting within him.
Tumblr media
“Yo, Mingi, you gonna meet us at the restaurant?” Yunho asked the singer.
“Yeah, I’m gonna call Y/N first—”
“You mean your pretty princess?” San teased— your name on Mingi’s phone was “pretty princess”, and the guys teased him all the time for it.
“Your pretty preppy princess?” Wooyoung piled on.
“Yes, my pretty princess. Go choke on some soju,” Mingi frowned and shooed the boys away.
The four other members of IT’S YOU(TH) skipped cheerfully away, leaving Mingi alone by his car. He started calling you only for someone to grab his phone.
“IT’S YOU(TH), huh? Cute.”
Mingi whipped around, his jaw tensing as he got ready to beat the shit out of whoever stole his phone from him.
“What’s your fucking problem, dude? Give my phone back, or I’ll beat the shit out of you,” Mingi warned aggressively.
“I wouldn’t do that if I were you,” the same voice said.
Stepping closer to him, a man with a flowery charm but deadly eyes appeared before Mingi. He dangled his phone as he stood before him, riling Mingi up further. He tightened his fist and prepared to swing, only for two pairs of arms to restrain him. The two people behind him brought Mingi down to his knees and kept him there, one man kneeling on his back while the other had a fistful of Mingi’s hair tight in his grasp.
“What the fuck do you want?” Mingi asked, his anger intensifying. “If it’s money, I’ll give you however much you want.”
“I don’t need your money, guitar boy. I want Y/N.”
“What?”
The man crouched in front of Mingi and held his phone up, the lock screen of you and Mingi shining brightly. He pointed at you and said, “I want Y/N back.”
“Oh, you’re a crazy ex-boyfriend,” Mingi couldn’t help but scoff. “Listen, she’s not one for me to give back. She likes me, so she’s dating me. She doesn’t like you, so she’s not dating you. It’s her choice, dude.”
Without a warning, the guy punched Mingi in the face. Mingi’s cheek immediately started bleeding, his eye throbbing with pain. Before he could recover from the shock of the punch, the man sent a mean hook into his jaw, Mingi’s head flying to the side. The guy behind him held his head back up, forcing Mingi to make eye contact with the asshole that just punched him.
“She didn’t break up with me because she stopped liking me, you asshole. She broke up with me because of you.”
Mingi didn’t bother responding— villains usually always revealed everything without being prompted.
“Ever since she went and saw your cute little band, she told me she “fell in love with you” and that she would literally “do anything” for you. Someone like you with your fucking pretty boy make up and your painted nails and your criminal face tattoo,” the man sneered in Mingi’s face. “Someone like you of all fucking people.”
“Seonghwa,” one of the men behind Mingi uttered. “Get to the point.”
“Shut the fuck up, Hongjoong,” the man, who Mingi could now identify as Seonghwa, snapped. Turning back to Mingi, Seonghwa continued, “She was still dating me the day you signed her fucking bra. And then the concert after that, you fucking asked her out, and she said yes and dropped me in a heartbeat.”
“How is that my fault?! I asked her out, but she could’ve said no!” Mingi argued.
“It’s you and your fucking band’s fault for even existing, you asshole!”
Seonghwa grabbed the collar of Mingi’s shirt and pulled him up, the two other men behind Mingi still holding onto him.
“Hongjoong, Jongho, let go. I want to beat this guy up,” Seonghwa hissed.
“Seonghwa, calm down—”
“Fucking drop his ass!”
Hongjoong and Jongho let go of Mingi, and Seonghwa immediately swung before Mingi could stop him. Mingi fell to the ground, allowing Seonghwa to start kicking the shit out of him. He couldn’t even get away from Seonghwa, but thankfully, his two friends held him back.
“Do you really think Y/N is going to want to be with you if you do shit like this?”
“Don’t give her a reason to hate you, dude.”
“Ugh, fine!” Seonghwa admitted defeat before shaking his friends off. “But you, Song Mingi, you better break up with her or else.”
“Or else what? You’ll kill me?” Mingi scoffed.
“No. I’ll destroy the rest of your band.”
The color in Mingi’s face drained. He could handle someone threatening him, but the thought of anyone from IT’S YOU(TH) getting hurt because of him or disbanding because of him was terrifying to him.
“Y-you… You wouldn’t.”
“I can, and I will. Break up with Y/N, and you and your band can sing your silly songs for the rest of time. Stay with her, and I’ll drive everyone in your life away from you.” Seonghwa tossed Mingi’s phone back to him. He crouched in front of him and added, “You have ’til the next concert.”
With that, Seonghwa and his friends left Mingi next to his car bleeding, afraid, and alone.
Tumblr media
“That’s why your eye was black?” Yeosang asked with shock.
“Yes.”
“Mingi… I’m so sorry,” San sounded like he was about to cry.
“Yeah, you shouldn’t have to choose like that. Her ex-boyfriend is a complete psychopath!” Wooyoung added just as emotionally.
The three boys smothered Mingi with hugs while Yunho stood a little bit away, a frown plastered to his face.
“Alright, but now you all will drop it, right?” Mingi grunted as he tried to escape the group hug.
The boys nodded and verbally agreed. They started to head back inside, but Mingi stayed outside to burn through another cigarette. Yunho stayed with him.
“Don’t say anything, man. I know you,” Mingi sighed as he fished out his carton of cigarettes again.
Yunho didn’t say anything. Instead, he gave Mingi a silent hug, his hand petting the back of the singer’s head. Tears welled up in Mingi’s eyes. He dropped his face into Yunho’s shoulder and hugged the keyboardist back as he silently sobbed about his broken heart.

Park Seonghwa- Rivals to Lovers
Here me out, he owns an old book shop across the street, he's been there longer than you too. This was his turf, his town, his people, people who loved to read in his cozy library, with its olden print books, worn out pages, read through by generations of the same family.
All was great until one spring she shows up, with her whole pastel plus minimalistic vibes, all with the cutesy trinkets and plants, with warm lights- he noticed some books too, but they were only for show- in conclusion it was a horrid place.
A horrid place where most teens would go to after school now, no longer going to his bookshop, where they'd gossip, read novels or mangas, or even look at pretty pictured magazines (the safe kind, mind you he kept nothing nasty). What's worse was that the older folk began to go there, too! Especially because of how nice she was to them, so polite and so pretty and - ANNOYING.
He even went to 'inspect' the place, with a sour mood and an ill intention, though he was greeted with a burst of sweet aroma, one that had his stomach growling and his inner foodie, begging him to pick at least one of the many pastries or have a cup of steaming, delicious coffee. What came next was worst, her, with her gentle smile and angelic features.
"Hello! Welcome to Spring Avenue, how may we help you today?"
"You're taking my traffic."
"I'm sorry, I don't understand."
"Of course you don't."
With that he had walked out, starting a cold war, between the two. Ironically, she was a pacifist, never a fighter, but boy, did he piss her off, he knew all those buttons that would have her steaming like a hot latte.
The war had begun;
It all began when he put a " 10% off sign on Mangas, Fashion Magazines and Manhwas" that took a god chunk of her traffic.
In retaliation, she launched a "Friendship campaign, any customer that brings a friend gets a cake slice free."
Spend 2 hours reading here and leave with a borrowed book/novel of your choice."
"Buy a coffee and get a cookie free."
This continued throughout the season, so did their rivalry, to an extent that led their divided customers sense the tension. And like usual, highschoolers are escapists and this little feud of Seonghwa and her's was a problem they'd like to avoid, from her cafe they could see their beloved bookshop owner Seonghwa scowl at them, and if they were leaving the bookshop, the kids could feel the uneasiness in her smile that she give them once they'd pass her by.
"Congratulations, you're in loss." She sighed, closing the file, earning a scowl from the cafe owner, "Hey, I'm just here to check your bills, loss, and profit stuff, don't shoot the messenger."
"Alexia, come on." She whined, this was her dream, she'd put in her life's savings for this, "What should I do, Lexi?"
"Gosh, maybe not give out stupid discounts four times in a month?" Alexia sighed, rubbing her face, leaning back to stare at the bookshop across the street, "San said he knows the owner, maybe you guys could do a collab, instead of trying to each other's traffic."
"Who's San?" She asked her best friend, slash account manager and Public Relations officer- wait, was she dating!?
"Oh- uh- hey would you look at the time?" Alexia got up, grabbing her disposable coffee cup and bag, "Tell you what, you ask the bookshop owner dude about this? Okay? I'll get back with the details on Monday!" She called out as she walked towards the door, ignoring the cafe owner's questions about this San, "BYE LOVE YOU!"
That's how she found herself standing Infront of his bookshop that evening, still debating if she should go in or not? Was this idea even worth it, the guy was rude, annoying, stupid, incredibly handsome and sweet with kids and- the hell.
"Can I help you?" His deep voice came out of no where
She almost jumped out of her skin, only to turn around and spot the man she had been hating for the past ten months, standing there in all his angleic glory, with that ugly sweater and that overly comfortable scarf, not to mention his hair, his undercut had grown, quiet well too, perhaps he really was blessed with good genes.
"I uh..." she trailed off, pouting to herself, thinking of how he'd react, maybe he would make fun of her, or insult her or even go as far as to tell the town about her poor business management skills.
"Are you still open?" his question had caught her off guard, staring at him quietly wanting to see if this was a trick, only it wasn't, for when she nodded, he had looked around and then asked if he could...get a cup of coffee from there.
Of course she had said yes, why on earth would she say no to a customer, she needed the business. Unfortunately, that one cup of coffee, turned into two, then three, well- not as unfortunate as she would like it to be.
The two, mind you, who still didnt like each other, began to learn a lot about each other. He learnt how she was genuinely a sweet, caring and gentle person, her persona was indeed not fake but very real, this is who she was. She on the other hand, learned that he had inherited this business from his family, and he was an avid reader- sort a geek, a cute geek, a cute geek that could eat a whole chocolate cake with three mugs off coffee like it was nothing.
It wasn't until the third week of him visiting her cafe, that when he had stepped out to go there, he had bumped into her. She had almost fallen, but he was quick, gripping her wrist and pulling her into his chest, only to laugh when she mumbled an excuse, though he was glad she couldn't hear how his heart was hammering against his chest, wanting to stuff itself in the breast pocket of her coat.
That day she had asked him if she could check out his book shop, because she had been looking for old English bakery recipes and she couldn't find it anywhere, not any store around or online. Of course he had taken her to the right isle, in the right section in no time, this bookshop was his life and collecting and sifting through books was his passion, that day he had seen her passion, she had sat there, on the floor the entire night, reading book after book, mumbling to herself as she noted down recipes. He had sat next to her, helping her jot down notes, bringing her coffee- well not as good as hers, but good enough. At one point he had even ordered them a late night snack, well snacks, because he's a growing boy. He had closed the shop with the two inside, even pulled out a blanket and some cushions from the lounging area so she could comfortably work- she was a passionate girl and ironically he had realised something that night, only it turned into a full blown epiphany in the morning.
Next morning she had woken up right next to him, her head on his shoulder, his arm wrapped around her as the blanket was draped over the two, they had fallen asleep while reading- oh my, he really was pretty up close.
Though the two pretended nothing had happened, nothing had changed, however, everyone around them had noticed, the highschoolers would giggle when he'd come to her cafe for a cup of coffee, or how the older folk would pat him on the back when she'd step into the bookshop calling him out for help, with her little, "Hwa?"
Neither really knew how it happened, but one night while closing up he had waited outside for her, telling her he'd drop her home, even though she lived close by. Slowly this had become part of their routine, he'd often talk about the latest manga or an issue to the Star Wars comics or whatever on earth he'd talk about, but she'd always listen. Always smile and laugh at his jokes, while he'd readily accept any test recipes she'd try, telling her that his stomach was like a blackhole.
But when do the two get together? Simple, on New Years Eve, when he had to close his shop but she had decided to leave her cafe open, wanting to cater to all those who were celebrating the arrival of the new year with their loved ones, she knew Seonghwa had to go home anyway and she didn't want to spend the night alone since her family was out of town. What she did not expect was a few minutes before the strike of midnight, the cafe door chimed open as she turned to greet the customer, only to freeze at the sight before her- Seonghwa entering with a bouqet of origami flowers, smiling at her as he slowly walked to her;
"I- I know you don't like plucking flowers or bouqets, so I made you these."
"You...made these?"
"Ofcourse."
"W-why?"
"I...because I..." but before he could finish his sentence his ears picked up the count down, causing him to quickly place the flowers on the counter and as soon as the fireworks rang in her ears, it was as if she could feel the burning warmth in her body, taking a second to process how his lips were on hers, his hands cupping her face as her hands instinctively went up to grip his coat, pulling him even closer. Who knew that one day she'll end up opening a cafe that also served as a bookstore, who knew that one day, her little, evil, handsome rival bookseller, would be the New Year's kiss she never knew she needed, the man she never knew she needed, the lover that she was blessed to have.

Jeong Yunho- Neighbors to Lovers
No, she was not the new tenant, he was, and for some ungodly reason he was also extremely ill-prepared to live alone. Like any other weekend, she was leaving her apartment to go to the cafe to sit in peace and finish her novel, but God had other plans. She had opened the door to come face to face with a tall, good-looking man, though the smile he wore scared her- he was one of those extroverts.
No, he was not mean at all, nor was he the manipulative kind, Jeong Yunho really didn't know how the pre-installed dishwasher worked, that's why he had come to her that fateful weekend, about to knock on the door but she had beat him to it, opening the door before he could, earning a sheepish smile in return- who knew his neighbour would be so gorgeous, who knew purple could look so good on someone?
"Hey, I- I moved in across the hall, apartment 19, lol, I guess we're neighbours, huh?"
She had only nodded meekly at his question, pulling her satchel closer to her person, not because she didn't like him, no, but because she wasn't much of a talker anymore, not so confident either and also- because regardless of how good looking this stranger was, he was still a stranger.
"I'm Yunho- Sorry to bother you, I know you must be going somewhere, but I- I uh- I wanted to know if you know how to operate the dishwasher?"
That's how she found herself in his apartment, leaving the maindoor wide open, so she could escape if something were to happen, but to her surprise he was just a regular idiot, one who thought the dishwasher was a rack used to dry the dishes- men.
That night Yunho met an angel, one who seemingly had her life planned out, held together well, while he was still trying to build something out of his- data analyst or not, living alone was not the easiest thing to do, yet, she seemed so nonchalant about it.
Overtime however, she noticed how he would come over to ask her for help often, sometimes it was the 'fridge isn't working right' other times it was the 'how much water do you add to rice while boiling it?' Honestly, she would've told him to piss off if it were anyone else, but it was her polite neighbour, her sweet polite, new neighbour who would pass her by in the corridor every morning, smiling at her and wishing her a good morning- even if she wasn't a morning person.
Ironically, he continued to ensure they cross paths, only because he wanted to get to know her, to talk to her, he really needed a friend, and since moving here meant Mingi and him could no longer hang out 24/7, he really needed another person to talk to, someone who was not Hongjoong from the finance department.
Ironically, she did not protest or tell him to get lost, instead she's quietly help him whenever he'd approach her, giving him a shy smile then going back to her apartment. That purple door tempting him to go back and knock on the old wood, wanting to know what Narnia like secrets she hid behind.
She let it be, truthfully, she wanted fo befriended him, but during these little adventures, she realised she had begun to neglect her book, the same book she had a deadline for, the same book she had been working on day and night, and now this puppy pops up and takes all her attention?
So what does she do? Simple, she starts to create some form of distance, leave before he'd be awake, come back home later too, also even if he did come to knock on her purple door, she wouldn't be there to answer it, so technically she wouldn't feel guilty right?
Wrong, instead God had punished her with a severe writer's block, one so bad that she had missed two of her deadlines, and according to her publisher, she was on her last chance. That's how she found herself at the very cafe where she would find solace, now on the verge of tears, staring at the laptop in pure agony, maybe this was payback for leaving him unattended and ignoring him or maybe she was never meant to be a writer.
A fresh cup of coffee was placed next to her hand, causing her to quickly pull back and look at the stranger, only her panicked eyes met a softer, more timid gaze, a gentle smile gracing her presence.
"Hey... you looked like you needed the juice." He smiled, gesturing towards the chair, as if asking for permission to sit down next to her, to which she nodded.
"I uh..." she paused. Should she even be asking him how he's been? Does she have the right to do so, or are they just neighbours- well, at this point, two strangers living across each other.
"I read your books by the way," he began, giving her a gentle smile, as he felt the way she had tensed up, honestly, initially he thought she was like that because his presence made her uncomfortable, but he soon realised it wasn't him, but she usually was this tensed all the time, this nervous and unsure, which made no sense to him because she was one of the most well functioning person he had met in the city, and he was glad to have moved in next to her, "It's great, the plotline is amazing and the details- you really captured the essence, I particularly liked the world you created, honestly, when I moved here I thought everyone wore those 'blockers' too. To not...feel stuff you know," he turned to look at her, only to catch her staring at him, a small chuckle escaping him when she cleared her throat, averting her gaze, "You were the only one who was nice enough to help me, even for the stupidest of tasks...it means a lot."
She stared at him in awe and disbelief. She had been trying to avoid him for almost a month now, couldn't he tell? Or was he just playing dumb- I mean he totally could be dumb, he didn't know a toaster comes with settings, just thought the numbers were there for the appeal.
After that the two began to "spend time together", it was strictly casual mind you, nothing personal, though he would drop by more often than usual, sometimes after work, sometimes on the weekends- to have dinner with her, he'd bring dessert, or to watch a movie with her, he'd bring the snacks- no, nothing domestic at all.
Or so they thought, because a few months in, he had come over by swinging the door open, yes he had the keys and she had his keys, only to find her standing there all dressed up.
"Where are you off to? What about movie night?"
"Oh no..." she gasped, "Yuyu, I forgot to tell you I had a date tonight." A date? Why? With whom?
"Wait, why?"
"What do you mean why?"
"Why would you go on a date when we- I mean...isn't it weird? Shouldn't you be more focused on your book, instead of this temporary romance?"
"Temporary romance?!"
"W-wait, I didn't mean it like that. It came out wrong-"
"Out."
"W-what?"
"I said get out!"
That happened a week ago, she had been avoiding him for a whole week, she had been ignoring his calls, his texts, his knocks- no he didn't barge into her apartment, it took him a great amount of time to get her to open up to him and he idiotically clowned himself. So he decided to go to the next thing, go to the official reading of her book launch.
He waited there at the back, listening to her intently, taking in each word, who knew he would ever fall in love with, her neighbour, the same girl who had helped with the dishwasher, brought him dinner at night, spent time teaching him the usual ropes of living alone- who knew the very same girl had changed the plot of the book, basing it on her life, expressing how the shy, depressed protagonist, who thought dying her hair purple would make her feel better, realised that the only thing that would make her feel better would be a companion, a tall, handsome man, with a heart of gold- it was not that she needed a man, no, she just needed a friend, and she had finally found one, the inspiration to her writer's block, the Chandler to her Monica, the- HE DIES!?
He gasped, appalled at the way she had ended the story, where at the end, on his deathbed the man tells his beloved how she never needed him, but he needed her to function, to live through each day- bloody hell.
He waited for them to leave when he finally approached her, somewhat upset-no, he was very upset, as she stopped cleaning up to look at him, raising a questioning brow, "What?"
"I can't believe you!"
"Funny, Jeong, I should be the one saying that."
"What!? You killed me!?"
"What?"
"I come here to declare my undying love- no I come here to tell you how much you mean to me and apologise for never asking you out but getting upset when someone actually asked you out and you KILL ME IN YOUR NOVE?"
"First of all, I accept your apology, secondly, the protagonist was DEFINITELY NOT YOU, I made him up WAY BEFORE I met you."
"Oh..." he stared at her then looked around the almost empty bookshop, maybe he should just leave-
"So...Will you ask me out properly now or...'l"
"Move in with me."
"Too fast."
"Was worth a shot." He smiled when she let out a small laugh shaking her head at his antics, "Take me to dinner, Yunho." She smiled watching him lean closer then pause, as if asking for her permission,  "Can I...?" His question was answered when she gripped him by the lapels of his coat, pulling him closer to crash her lips against his, smiling when he wrapped his arms around her, pulling back only to press his forehead against hers,
"We move into my apartment..."
"What? Mine's great-"
"Yunho, have you seen the window and the balcony on mine?"
"Your apartment it is boss."

Choi San- Bestfriends to Lovers
Idiots, these two were complete idiots who were utterly in love with each other but were also too blind to realise that - why? Simple, because both feared that confessing to the other may ruin the long-held, deep bond.
A bond that had developed at the ripe age of childhood, middle school, to be more accurate. The day he had come to school, bored out of his mind, staring outside the window, wondering if he could jump on the closest tree to escape this prison. What he had not expected was an angel to come and sit beside him, well technically, the teacher had made her sit next to him, and he hadn't noticed her until she poked his shoulder lighter, causing him to jerk back and gasp, earning a few chuckles from the glass as the teacher just sighed in defeat.
"Wh-Hello."
"Do you need help with that?" She asked, pointing at the math equation in front of him. He looked at his notebook and remembered that's what they were supposed to me doing- damn that was a lot of daydreaming.
"Yeah, I guess...do you... know how to solve it?" He asked the new girl, too afraid to make eyecontact.
"Here, I'll show you." Turning to face him, she pulled his scribbled notebook closer.
"I'm San by the way."
That day onwards, a nice and quiet introvert at the back of the class finally began to crack open. From time to time, you'd hear him whispering to her, talking about some anime or a film. Often, he'd be telling her about his cat, Byeol, and how pretty she was. During break you wouldn't see San next to her for the first five minutes, no, he'd be sprinting across the campus, jumping down the stairs to go to the canteen to get her something to drink with her lunch, or a sweet snack, regardless of how many times she'd say 'it's fine.' During self study hours, she wouldn't be studying, no, she'd be busy tutoring her athletically gifted friend, he was...a little dumb, but that's okay, he was hardworking and she'd tell him she'd help him where he'd get stuck, explain and tutor where needed- especially in math.
As they grew older, he grew into his body, his self-esteem issues slowly subsiding, his feelings for her deepening, yet, never enough to tip the scale, at the bring of an edge but never enough to flow out he had to keep it all under control, because that's just how San was, patient and calm, he would never take a step if there was an ounce of the doubt when it came to how she felt about him. Though watching her spread her wings into the beauty she was, well, was somewhat problematic for him. Especially when she'd come to him, smiling like that, greeting him with the gentle voice of hers, asking him if he liked her haircut.
"What do you think?"
"It's...very nice."
"Just very nice?"
"You'd look pretty to me even if you were bald."
Conversations like these would have her heart hammering against her ribcage, and she'd pray to God that he couldn't hear it. She'd pray for it when he'd be walking home side by side, his shoulder bumping into hers, or his hand brushing against hers, when he'd take her bag from her, clicking his tongue at how heavy it would be,
"You trynna' build muscles like me?" He'd ask, though he was still very fragile, he'd only started going to the gym when he noticed how the 'basketball team captain', had decided to ask her to 'help tutor him too', though she had politely declined.
"Hmm? Of course not, Advanced Math books are just big like that..."
"Why do you do this to yourself, dove?" A nickname she had gained over the time, one used only by him.
"Because I wanna teach one day, I love teaching, I want to make sure people realise subjects aren't difficult or they aren't dumb, it's just that they're not taught properly."
Yup, he was smitten, on his knees, begging for her please ( he was also an idiot).
Ended up in college with her, though in a different major, like hell the now 'mountain of a man', no longer the kitten-like fragile boy, was going to major in math- business was a way better option.
This wasn't a bad situation, though they rarely had a few classes together, she'd still make time to see him, to text him as soon as class would end, but he'd already be standing at the exit, waiting for her with a coffee in hand and a dimpled smile, reserved just for her.
In no means was Choi San an extrovert, but somehow along the line he had met one, who later claimed that his MBTI had changed to an introvert too, though he doubted that notion- Jung Wooyoung.
Boistorous, noisy, obnoxious but a genuinely nice person at heart, Wooyoung was his companion in his major's classes, he was also the first person to know about San's little secret, since San trusted him enough to know, though Wooyoung assured him he had figured it out as soon as San introduced him to her as his "bestfriend".
"You're an idiot." Wooyoung snorted, taking off his shoes as he walked into the 4th years tiny apartment.
"What? Why?"
"You really think I didn't know?"
"How did you kno-'
"You can be bestfriends with a girl since childhood, unless a) one of you confessed to the other and got friendzoned but still chose friendship or b) neither of you confessed but are secretly crushing over the other."
"Wow, should've been a psychologist instead of a business major."
"What can I say, Sannie? I am a man of many talents."
Things progressed like this for a long time, Wooyoung watched from the sidelines how the two would basically act like a couple that was not a couple- almost everyone at campus thought they were a couple and Wooyoung was basically the third wheel. Not that he minded, and San appreciated him for that, he was glad Wooyoung's relationship with his dove was platonic- borderline sibling-like.
But Choi San was a fool, one that Choi San, at the fresh age of 25 wished that perhaps he'd be able to take the next steps, but something at the back of his mind held him back, were his personal desires as important as this friendship?
Which is why he stood there watching his best friend get ready for her date, her date with Wooyoung. After a conversation he did not like, but what could he say? He was too afraid to even confess, and well, Wooyoung wasn't a bad guy, and technically, he was his friend.
"I'm gonna ask her out, Sannie." The brunnet sighed, before taking a sip of his coffee, humming at the bitterness, perhaps this bitterness was sweeter than the bitter taste that had developed in San's mouth at the statement.
"W-why?" The bigger man with the fragile heart whispered.
"Because...I like her...I'm sorry but...I gave you time, so much of it and...I just wanted you to be the first one to know...if she says no, we'll all still be friends, but if she says yes...San, I won't hold back."
That had led to her first anniversary with Wooyoung, then the second and finally a day before their third anniversary San had texted the couple how he wouldn't be able to make it to their anniversary party because he had work that day and he wished them the best.
What he did not expect was someone knocking on his door at 2 am, opening the door to find a tear stained Wooyoung, only for him to punch the taller man in the face, watching him stumble backwards then wipe his eyes and sigh, "I swear- if you weren't such a great guy, I would've stabbed you."
"What the F*CK WOOYOUNG?"
That night was the first time he had seen Wooyoung cry, cry about how when she read the message she had become a mess, one that even Wooyoung couldn't fix, begging him for forgiveness how she made a mistake, how even though she was happy with Wooyoung, her heart belonged to someone else, someone who she thought she could move on from since he never confessed, since he never liked her back the way she did, and though the text was a confirmation of that, she couldn't bear lying to Wooyoung, to give him only half the love of what he deserved, knowing he deserved someone who would teach him the true meaning of love, because she was a teacher with only one student in mind, the idiot of a man- Choi San.
That night San couldn't sleep, not a wink, he processed the words over and over again, so did she like him? Should he confess to her? Now? Wouldn't that make it awkward? Or should he wait? Would that be a mistake?
Though his questions were answered in the morning when the doorbell rang at 7 am, making the sleepy man sigh as he stumbled to the door with blurry eyes, opening it still half asleep, only the slap he received woke sobered him up quickly,
"OW- WH- WHY ARE YOU JUST LIKE WOOYOUNG!?"
"SHUT UP! DONT TAKE HIS NAME! I HURT HIM BECAUSE OF YOU!" Never in the many years of knowing her, had she raised her voice like that.
"I-"
"NO! LISTEN TO ME!" She yelled before shoving him inside so she could continue yelling inside, "I like you- and you- you d*ck you could tell him you liked me but you couldn't tell me!? All those horrible dates you watched me go to, but you couldn't stop me?! You knew you liked me yet you let Woo ask me out!?"
"I- I didn't wanna ruin what we had..."
"San, I- what if I had married Woo? Huh? Then what? When you already had half my heart, I-"
She couldn't finish her sentence though, because the next thing she knew, he was smothering her with all that pent up love, his lips pressing against hers with a ferocity she had ever seen in her gentle Sannie, wanting to claim what he was too scared to touch before.
He only pulled back when she lightly pushed him back, gasping for air, looking up at him all flushed and pink, her swollen lips just enticing him even more,
"W-what was that?" She breathed out.
"Never say you're marrying anyone but me, I would've ruined the wedding even if it meant being thrown out."
"You're an idiot Sannie."
"No, I just had a teacher who could teach me math, but couldn't teach me how to love properly - guess she was learning too."

ATEEZ AS LOVE/RELATIONSHIP TROPES pt.2
Part 1
Mingi: Hurt/Comfort
SFW
Everyone one in the room was shocked at the way the dance instructor had spoken to Mingi. Yelling at him in front of all the students about how he wasn't good enough and that he'd never make it in the industry.
Not a single soul in that room would ever call Mingi anything even close to a failure. Not when it was clear to every single person in the room how hard he worked and how talented he was.
Mingi stayed behind after everyone had left and sat down in the corner of the room with his head between his knees. You could see his shoulders shaking and your heart ached to see someone you cared so deeply about hurting this way.
You approached him and took a seat next to him, carefully placing a hand on his shoulder, "Mingi, are you okay?"
He sniffed and looked up, "Go. I'm not worth your time."
You only rubbed his shoulder soothingly, "Of course you are."
Tears brimmed his eyes as he looked at you, "I'm not good enough. I just wanted to be good enough."
It killed you to hear him say that. You carefully cupped his face in your hands, "Mingi, you're more than good enough."
He doesn't look like he believes you and before he can open his mouth to disagree, you lean forward and press the softest of kisses to his lips, "Mingi, you're the most talented person I know."
He looks at you in slight shock before pulling you in for a hug, completely engulfing you in his arms as he buries his face in your neck,
"Thank you."
San: Best friend's older brother
SFW
You couldn't help it. Ever since the first time you had met your best friend's brother you'd been a goner. He flirted with you non-stop and although it seemed like a joke, he himself sometimes claiming it was when his younger sibling nagged at him for coming onto her friend, you had started wondering if it truly was all a joke.
You found any excuse to visit your friend, feeling horrible about how you'd started using it as an excuse to simply see San but you couldn't help it. He was like the sun and like Icarus you couldn't help but gravitate towards him.
Everything was finally set into motion when one night during a sleepover, you couldn't sleep, even though your friend was happily snoring away, and sneaked out the room to the kitchen to get something warm to drink.
You were startled to see San sitting in the dark in the living room as you pass by and flick the light on.
"San?"
His eyes shot to you and you blushed.
"Hey, couldn't sleep either?"
"Yeah..."
His gaze traced your figure for a second, taking in your cute pyjamas and bareface. His lips began to form a smirk and one of his eyebrows lifted- you knew that look.
"Don't flirt with me if you don't mean it," You cut him off before he could even open his mouth. You were tired of him fueling your crush on him when it seemed he didn't feel the same.
He frowned and stood up. You gulped as he made his way over to you.
"Who said I didn't mean it?"
You looked up at him in surprise, "But you never follow through with what you say or joke about doing. You make comments about how kissable my lips look when you-"
You were cut off by him gently gripping your chin between his thumb and forefinger and pressing a kiss to your mouth.
"You're my sister's best friend, I didn't want to cause drama unless I was certain you felt the same."
You're stunned for a moment before eagerly pulling him in again.
Wooyoung: Friends with Benefits to lovers
NSFW
You looked and sounded so beautiful when he held you like this. Your words of praise and your keening sounds as he thrusted into you and kissed your neck had his heart tightening even more so.
"Oh, God, Woo, you feel so good. I could be like this with you forever," you moaned, your head back in the pillows and your nails scratching at his back as you wrapped your legs around his waist and met his thrusts.
Be like this with you forever. He knew it was just a passing comment, words produced by the delirium of an impending orgasm but they struck a chord in him and suddenly his pace became sloppy and shoulders began to shake.
It took you a few seconds but once you registered the way he was slowing down and felt his body shake in a way you were almost one hundred percent wasn't anything to do with pleasure, your movements stilled too. A flurry of panic rose in your heart as you felt hot tears land on the skin of your neck where he had his face buried. His thrusts came to a standstill and he sniffed and pulled his head from the crook of your neck.
He wiped his eyes with the back of one of his hands and you lifted one of your own to stroke away the tears with your fingertips. You gave him a concerned look, "What's wrong, Woo?"
He sniffed again and shook his head, "Nothing.'' The sob that followed after said otherwise.
You cupped his face, "Woo, just tell me-"
"God, this is embarrassing. Crying during sex. Let me just-" He tried to pull out and get off of you but you wrapped your arms around him and pulled him down onto your body, not minding the weight one bit and finding comfort in the feeling of his warm, sweat slick skin against your own.
"No, you're not going anywhere. Not until you tell me what's wrong."
There was silence before he spoke into your neck, "I'm in love with you."
You stiffened for a second and his heart dropped but you pulled his head from the crook of your neck and pulled him in for a kiss that left him breathless.
"Dumbass. I love you too."
Jongho: Oblivious Love
SFW
If it wasn't for his friends, Jongho probably never would have realised it for himself.
They watched him glare at the guy that was flirting with you for the umpteenth time this month. He'd brought you coffee and cake. That was what Jongho was supposed to do and that guy didn't even get your favourite order right. Jongho knew your order off by heart. The guy wrapped an arm around your shoulders and you let out a laugh at something he said. Jongho was supposed to be the one holding you and making you laugh. You were his friend. His.
Finally, Wooyoung snapped after Jongho sighed in annoyance for what was probably the hundredth time that afternoon, "Jongho you're so annoying just tell her. It's not that hard."
Jongho tore his eyes away from his from his friend and looked at Wooyoung with a frown, "Tell her what?"
Wooyoung gave him a look of disbelief, "That you're in love with her?"
Jongho's eyes widened and he shook his head, "What are you talking about? What makes you think that? We're just friends."
Wooyoung scoffed, "Jongho. You're looking at that guy like you're ready to plot a murder. You've been like this for so long. Why torture yourself further? Just tell her."
"There's nothing to..." But Jongho started reevaluating his past actions and words suddenly and the more he thought about it, the more it made sense.
It felt like he stopped breathing for a second when the realisation struck him, "Oh god, I'm in love with her."
Wooyoung rolled his eyes and clapped his hands sarcastically, "Well done. Now tell her before I strangle you."
Jongho would've maybe said something about waiting for the right time but then he looked up and saw the guy leaning in. Jongho promptly crossed the room to her and grabbed her hand. He pulled her away before she could even protest and ignored the guys "Hey, what the hell, man?!"
"Jongho, what are you doing? He was asking me out to the movies. I hadn't responded yet!"
"I can take you to the movies." He said and she frowned at him, "Jongho, I meant as a date."
"So did I."
She stood still in shock for a moment and Jongho panicked.
"Shit, I messed up didn't I. I don't know what I was thinking. You don't have to-"
She gave him a small smile and pecked his cheek and her heart fluttered at his shy smile and flushed cheeks, "I want to."

You peer up at the universe sprinkled overhead, gnawing your lower lip. “I’m not sure I see it.”
The grass of left outfield shifts beneath the blanket as San scoots a little closer to you. Despite the comfortably warm night, the feeling of his body heat mere inches from your side sends prickles across your skin.
“Okay, look,” San says, lifting his arm and pointing to a cluster of stars. “Starts right there, beneath that really bright one, and it goes down left, and then trails around that way, see?”
You force your gaze away from the contour of his arm and attempt to follow as he traces an outline in the heavens. “And you said it’s…”
“A jellyfish,” he says, and you can hear him grinning. “That spot I just traced is the bell, and then the tentacles—”
“—are just there,” you realize, suddenly seeing the constellation. You snort.
“Nice, right?” San snickers. “I actually felt clever making that one. Okay, your turn.”
“Oh, god,” you mutter, smiling and gazing all across the sky. “Okay, um…”
This is exactly what you’d expected when San asked if you wanted to sneak out to the campground’s baseball field and look at stars. Several other young camp staff you’d been sitting with watched you accept his offer with jealousy, and you knew they were picturing a far more romantic, swoonworthy scene. Something it seemed most of the young camp staff would kill for with San—at least, something they’d kill for now.
Choi San has been your camp bestie since the day you met as kids, when you accidentally spilled green Kool-Aid all over him and he retaliated on purpose with his purple Kool-Aid. He wasn’t one of the cooler kids at camp over the years—too dorky, the other kids said. But that worked out perfectly for you, because you were a dork, too.
It was shocking when he turned up one summer a few years ago when you were counselors and he was…cute. Against your better judgment, it awakened something in you—and, apparently, several other counselors, who were suddenly interested in hanging around him. You tried not to let it boost your ego when he barely noticed them, preferring to stick around you, instead. He was still just as dorky, like nothing had changed, and you wanted to keep it that way, so for the sake of your friendship you fought down any feelings that awakened.
Except they like to re-awaken all the time, as you both continue to grow up and he only gets cuter. A constant battle. You’re running out of room to bury your feelings at this point.
“Aaah, wait—um, uh, um…” you sputter, laughing as San begins humming the Jeopardy theme.
You chance a glance over at him, only to look away again sharply when you see him grinning ear-to-ear at you. Your entire face comes to a boil. Panicked, you fling your arm up and point. “There, take a guess.”
You begin scrutinizing that spot desperately for a form that makes sense as San groans. “No fair, that’s where I was going to pick next.”
“Pff, yeah, what were you gonna pick, a….coiled-up snake?” You retort, tossing the snake idea out the window.
“...Noooo,” he says, then pauses. “Okay, kind of. It was going to be one of those fuzzy worm things, so that doesn’t technically count.”
You snort. “Keep dreaming.”
“What’s yours, then, huh, if you’re so clever?”
“You mean you can’t see it?” You ask, faking offense, wracking your brains for ideas.
“Methinks thou doth protest too much,” San says, and you can hear him smirking.
You huff. “Fine, I’ll tell you, spoilsport. It’s one of those, you know…”
You can definitely hear him grinning now. “You know…?”
At last, inspiration strikes. “It’s an ammonite.”
A moment’s pause, and then San asks, “an ammonite?”
“Don’t tell me you don’t know what an ammonite is,” you say, injecting mock horror into your voice. “I remember your dinosaur phase from fourth grade summer too well for that.”
There’s a moment of silence as San scrutinizes the sky.
You smirk the longer he doesn’t reply. “So, you know. An ammonite. Duh.”
“That…” He says, staring at the place you’d pointed out, “…is genius…”
You grin.
“....ly stupid.”
“Hey!” You turn and smack his arm, laughing. “You were going to say it was a fuzzy worm!”
You pointedly ignore how cute his dimples are, the way his eyes crinkle when he smiles. “At least mine wasn’t a fossil.”
“You didn’t make any rules except ‘it can’t be boring like a real constellation’!”
“I’m changing the rules now, no fossils.”
You scrunch your face up into an indignant, scowling pout. “Starting now. Mine counts.”
San rolls his eyes, but a grin tugs at his lips. “So needy. Fine, my turn.”
“And you can’t start from where I just made one,” you remind him.
“Yah, who’s in charge here, anyway?” San complains.
You scoff. “Who said anything about someone being in charge? Besides, you’ve got loads of other stars to work with.”
“But I wanted to work with those stars.”
“Bo-ring.”
“Ah come on, they’re all fake constellations anyw—whoa!”
You both jolt, eyes wide, as the brightest shooting star you’ve ever seen hurtles through the sky above. It’s huge, the tail burning fire from one horizon to the other in a brilliant slash.
As quickly as it comes, it fades, but the spell it casts lingers over you both. Both of you fall quiet, staring up into the stars. Everything comes into focus that you hadn’t been aware of before—the soft chirp of crickets from the nearby woods, the barely-there breeze stirring across your legs, the earthy smell of the baseball diamond. How close Choi San is lying next to you, on this blanket, the two of you in a world all your own.
“That was…amazing,” San breathes.
Your throat is dry. All you can do is nod.
“Did you see that?”
“Yeah.”
“It was huge,” he says, shifting a little on the blanket. “I’ve…I feel like I need to make a wish. Should I make a wish?”
You wish your feelings could just go away. “Nah, not on that one. You kidding? It was way too big for just a wish. That was like…a sign, or something.”
San sounds thoughtful. “A sign of what?”
“Like, anything.” Lying here next to him feels more and more dangerous by the second. You sit up, still staring at the sky. “That’s a sign for anything. Like a big thumbs-up, you know? The universe saying, ‘time to go for it’.”
“Go for what?”
“Whatever’s right in front of you, man,” you say, just rambling at this point. “Got a dream school you’re shooting for? Send in the application. Up for that promotion? Assert yourself. Someone you want to see? Gotta shoot your shot. Life’s too short and shooting stars know about it. Like, you saw that one, it was huge and bright and beautiful and it just fizzled…out…”
You stop talking, mind going blank, when you feel San take your hand, twining your fingers together.
You look down at your hands. He really is holding yours; you aren’t just imagining it. His thumb brushes over the back of yours gently, once, twice, and your entire being feels like a live wire.
He clears his throat in the silence that follows. “I, um, then I guess this is just…me, shooting my shot, then.”
Your gaze trails from his hand up his arm, over his shoulder and neck, settling on his face. He’s staring resolutely up at the sky, like the stars have just started tap-dancing. “I mean, you know, if that’s…cool? Maybe? Since you said the star was a sign and not for wishing…maybe this was a bad idea—”
“You’re shooting your shot with me?”
“Not because I don’t like being friends or anything!” San says quickly. “Honestly I haven’t said anything for a while because I didn’t want you to…I guess I was just worried that…and like, we can totally just be friends, that’s super cool, we can just forget this happened at all—”
“Stop talking.”
He falls silent, and you take the moment to calm the veritable tornado of thoughts and feelings whipping through your head at breakneck speeds.
“I…” You trail off. Where are you even supposed to start? “I’m not…I mean, I like being your friend, too, don’t get me wrong, but like…”
You squeeze his hand. “This is cool.”
Slowly, San sits up next to you. “…It is?”
“Way better than cool,” you blurt, feeling your face start to burn again. “I’m…god, San, I’ve liked you a stupidly long time and I didn’t want to blow it and you’re telling me you’re shooting your shot because of a shooting star?”
“Hey, that thing had to be a comet or something,” San said, a slow smile growing over his face. “Like fate. Or an omen.”
“I was talking out of my ass about that earlier,” you tell him, pulse sputtering frantically at the way he’s looking at you.
“No, I think that was the first non-stupid thing you said all night,” San says decidedly. He lifts your joined hands briefly and presses a kiss to the back of yours before letting them drop to his lap.
Your head feels like it’s spinning. “The ammonite wasn’t stupid.”
“It was stupid,” he says, grinning at you.
You huff, scowl-pouting again. “You’re so mean.”
“I think you like it, though,” he says, squeezing your hand and looking back up at the sky. “Just a little.”
Your face feels like it’s in flames. “...Maybe. A very little bit.”
You both spend the next few minutes smiling rather stupidly at the stars.

once in a lifetime — seonghwa

[⚔️] — The Emperor killed you then, with a sharp slash of his sword to your neck like he thought you did to his heart. Revenge found itself behind the passing years, until you would meet again, in another life.

There was an old saying, 'The beautiful usually have a bad fortune'. The Emperor already had an unmatched beauty, his face gleamed with charms of loyalty. His mistress, was like a Greek oil painting, there was a reason why he chose you over thousands and thousands of belles in the land.
You, an only child of your mother and father, the only daughter in the entire bloodline. Your father brought your family's name to nobility, with his wise and high social status as he spent years climbing the ladder. A noble, you were, a blessed life you were given since birth.
Your family was thrill when sending you into the palace, with the idea of taking a spot in the Emperor's heart. From just a plain noble, you would bring great honour to your family by becoming something more. You deserved so much more for being a gift from above to your parents.
You painted your lips a scarlet red, your eyebrows plucked and drawn, your cheeks was lightly blushed. You must admit, the beauty standard when using makeup was off when it came to you. It didn't enhance your beauty like its many uses, you looked better without having to paint your face like how artist painted their paintings with sorrow.
The palace was grand and enchanting as the words that were spread across the country. A line of women from everywhere, from the countryside, near the sea, the town. You stood still, patiently waiting for your turn to come.
The outfit you wore was a tradition, but it was a pain to wear it under the harsh sunlight, as it radiated brighter it got hotter. You were sweating in your attire, your makeup was slowly dripping off your face.
You groaned, wiping off the beads of sweat on your forehead. You weren't allow to tie your hair up, you were must to keep it down for the Emperor. Would this man even be worth your time, you understood that he was the Emperor of the whole country yet would he live up to his people's expectations and assumptions of him?
You were wise like that, always thinking and working out your thoughts. Unlike most people who only cared for the fortunate chances, they were quick to be disappointed.
By the time you reached the palace, the nightfall already visited. You stepped into the palace as stars and the luminous moon shone against your back. Though you weren't as excited to meet the Emperor as much as some young women was, your heart still beat fast in the enclosure that was your chest.
"Your highness, I am [Y/N] of the noble [L/N], it's the greatest blessing to be in your presence." You introduced, bowing on the floor to him.
The Emperor gazed at you with cold eyes, unimpressed by your existence. You looked up, face-to-face with him was scary for everyone, including you.
The Emperor turned to the side, "Maid, go fetch this poor maiden a bucket of water, her makeup is ruining my interest." You were in shock by his sudden sentence, offended but yet to show outwardly. Though he was handsome and full of grace, his mouth seemed to only spit out uncivil words.
The maid with her back weak and frail figure, dragged a heavy bucket full of river water in front of you. The water was cold, instantly numbed your fingers. Using your hands, you washed your face. Your reflection faded as the water became a dark and unpleasant colour. Now with nothing coated your face, bare and natural in front of the Emperor.
"You look so much better without anything caking your face. Your eyes, your lips, your nose are a sight to gaze at." He was captivated, by you no less. Your bare face was a first, your figure dressing up in traditional costume, your hair down and combed.
He stood up from his throne, walking to you. The distance in status clearly showed, how he stood tall and straight while looking down at you crouching self on the wood floor. You were a noble, just a noble.
Lowering himself to your level, he held your chin with his hand. Looking you up-and-down, right-to-left, closely studied your face.
He let out a sigh, "What a shame, you got a mole that tainted your beauty." Indeed, you was born with a mole on your nose bridge, which didn't highlight your features according to the standard. But everything have its pros and its cons, for you, was the mole on your face.
The Emperor smiled, "[Y/N], was it? You can call me 'Seonghwa', our paths will cross more than we expect." He gave his hand to you, wanting you to take it. You hesitated at first, not wanting to dirty his hand with your wet and stained ones from the makeup you cleaned yourself off.
But at how intimidating he looked, you couldn't seem to deny. He pulled you up, standing as his eyes couldn't look away from you. Walked away without another word, you stood still like statues, not knowing how to react or what to say. You turned around, meeting the sight of the Emperor sending everyone else away.
"You have charmed me, young maiden." He sat back on his throne, "Tell me, what are you looking for here?" Seonghwa questioned, full of unknown intentions.
You tilted your sight to the floor, "I...Right now I don't have an answer that would satisfy your wonder, but you will know the reason for my arrival some other time, my great."
"I suppose, very well then, go get clean up." He sent maids your way, "I'll be waiting for you in my chamber." The Emperor disappeared without another word, the scent of him that left behind as remembrance, the scent of blooming jasmine flower.
You followed the maids, it seemed like you would be spending the night here. Your family, you would miss. They guided you into the bathtub to bathe, the water that was cold touched your skin. One washed your hair, two cleaned your nails, three bathe you with their hands.
They draped your body with finest silk, wearing a nightgown many maidens dreamt of. A last outer layer they put on you, the sheer coat that dragged on the floor. In the mirror, you looked as if you were royalty.
Finally, they walked you to the Emperor's chamber, where he study and slumber. From then on, you were on your own. You knocked gently on his doors, too, knocking the doors to his heart.
A single word, told you to come in as it rang from the other side. Seonghwa sat on his bed, patiently waiting for your presence to enter his space. He looked up to find you, standing there looking all dolled up for him.
"Though I have seen and study many beauties of the world," He gazed in a sensuous sense. "I've never seen a beauty like you before." He complimented.
You bowed, "You're too kind, dear Emperor. I must humble myself before you." Your eyes showed full of warmth and welcome.
"My dear, come sit down beside me." He guided you, holding your hand softly as he pulled you closer. You sat down, not sure of what his next move was.
"Will you let the flower bloom tonight? Let the yourself be one with the stars?" He questioned, his eyes watched you intently, every little movement of yours was carefully examined by him. A hawk-like gaze, where his eyes gleamed with danger and poise, able to kill someone with a single glare of an eye.
You hesitated yet still gave him a answer, "Yes, I'll let you have all of me tonight, great Emperor." You would let him have you entirely, nothing else belong to you, you were his to love and toy.
Seonghwa smiled, "Splendid." He leveled you down, laying you on the bed.
"Please, be gentle." You whimpered out.
Seonghwa pulled the string the held your outer coat together, "My dear, I'll treat you like the most gorgeous flower in my garden." Your coat dropped, exposing your bare, scandalous shoulders. He pressed his lips on yours, holding it close as he moved against you. Soft and velvety, the adjective to accurately describe his lips. As he pushed his tongue in, teasing you with his teeth.
Another layer removed from your body, stripping you off completely as your wonderful figure excited him. Your curves, and naked skin, the scent of lavender of your clean figure.
He peppered marks claiming his possession over your, translated through love marks and bites. You moaned, lacing your fingers through his hair. The moonlight shone his chamber, peeking into the sight of two star-crossed lovers.
"My dear, you are what my life have been missing, it must be a blessing from above to receive a beaut like you." Seonghwa praised, kissing the mole on your nose bridge.
"I think the stars shine brighter when you came, my world never gain so much meaning as for it to seem so dull and repetitive." He placed his lips on your breasts, holding them in his hands.
You couldn't say anything, lost in the pleasure that you worked nothing to receive. Yet it felt so deserving, the Emperor's affection was your goal and you stole it without sympathy. Many would kill to be in your position, as the great Emperor Seonghwa was to help you bloom.
He entered you, your wet cunt clenching around him tight. His shoulders which you held and cried on, your voice rang all throughout the palace for everyone to be aware of.
"Seonghwa—! I—" You bled, the deep red like roses that dripped slowly. You finally lost your most precious thing, to the Emperor, he took it from you like plucking flowers in gardens.
Your tears slid down your flushed cheeks, the mix of pain and pleasure, a euphoria that felt guilty to love. "My dear, it would be all over soon." He told, kissing your temple as the beads of sweat trickled your whole body. Your heart pounding loudly as a janggu, beating against your chest a passionate drummer performing.
Your cunt pulsed, the ecstacy arose out of the blue. It moved from head to toes, you dug your nails into his back, crying his name 'til your throat was sore and tired. Reaching your high, you came in a pinkish mess of blood and seeds. His love spilling out of you, loving the wonderful expression on your pretty face. Your eyes half-lidded, a streak of blush spread across your face, lips parted.
He pecked your forehead, "Your heart is with me, and mine is with you."
Not quite noble but not yet Empress, you could be count as one of his mistress, you, he adored the most. You were special in his eyes, one of a kind. Both wise and beautiful, the ones above spoiled him with the existence that was you.
"My dear, you look breath-taking like always." He placed the hair pin through your hair, a gift to show his admiration for you. You were his absolute favourite. Life like this was like a dream, a dream that you never want to wake up from.
But how quick a dream turned into a nightmare, a wrongdoing that wasn't you who did it. The other mistresses sabotaged you, tainting the love the Emperor had for you. They were jealous, their jealousy burned like fire and the flames burned you.
"You disgusting harlot! You repulsed me!" He screamed, his frustration and wrath.
You cried, tears coated your pretty eyes. "You must hear my plead—" You tried, but immediately shut down by him.
"Hear you?! I have no reason to be listening a pathetic excuse from the likes of you!" How much he actually loved you, you would never know, the jealousy that blinded his sight. A claim so unjustified, made by selfish desires.
He ripped the sheer fabric that draped your skin, the unfamiliar article of clothing that angered him. "Is this what you sell yourself for?!" He torn your dress, everything was forcefully stripped off of your body. Naked and shameful before his presence, the Emperor left you crying and in distress.
Death was what to come, he stripped you off your own life as you were prepared for execution. The sharp blade stood menacingly in front of you, you tears reflected on its shiny surface. A slash through your neck, courtesy of the Emperor himself, you head flung off your neck leaving trail of blood. It rolled on the ground, an instant death.
Before your due date, you begged him to have mercy on you. On the floor crying below his feet. The love was false and forced by unnoticed, you never asked to meet him, you only did this for your family. The faith you must face was heart-tearing.
"Seonghwa! You're so slow, walk faster!" Hongjoong complained, already being ten steps away from him. He ran through the corridor, trying his best to keep up with his friend.
Seonghwa panicked, no trace of Hongjoong could be found, he was lost in this huge school. He wasn't a student here, Seonghwa went to a normal high school for people with medium income, he was only here to support his friends' new band.
Hongjoong, who was familiar with this place while not being a student, accompanied him. Now without his trustful guide, he was completely lost inside a large labyrinth called 'school'.
"Hongjoong! Hongjoong, where are you?" He furrowed his brows, still nothing, no reply, no Hongjoong. Walking for another while, searching for his friend, he came by a field of green grass. The sun was vibrant and blinding, he squinted his eyes as he gazed at its beauty. Then the blooming nature, so many colourful flowers that decorated the scenery. Seonghwa had a appreciation for beautiful things, people, nature, ideas.
He was knocked to the earth ground, falling on his backside. "Get out of the way!" A bat swung before his face, hitting the baseball that came flying at his direction.
He jumped, a baseball bat inches away from his face. "You must be fucking stupid to pull a stunt like that. Who are you, I've never seen you before?" A boy stood in front of him, the look in his eyes cold and uninviting.
You, the captain of the baseball team, was skilled in baseball like it should. Trained since you were little, having outstanding physical attributes and a fast reflex, you were popular with both girls and guys. Someone came and disturbed your team's practice, you were the one to dissolve the situation.
"I don't go here, I'm a friend of Choi San from year eleven." He answered, while you were skeptical of him.
A member of the team called you, you turned you head to the voice. That was when he saw it, a scar on your neck that was prominent and very visible. He knew who you were, but from where? From here? Or another life?
"Whoever you are, get lost and let my team practice in peace." You tightened the grip on your bat, walking away without another say. He huffed, of how rude you were acting. You were attractive but had a nasty personality, at least to his view. Especially like that mole on your nose, how it tainted and enhanced your beauty at the same time.
Once in a lifetime, you were lovers. Now you were nothing more than a couple of foes. He killed you then, now you would take your long awaited revenge.

Someone help me with an idea
I have had this idea of a long time of making a fic with this plotline but I'm not sure which idol to write it for.
It's an angsty fic- as always, where the reader is experiencing depression and touch-starvation and her best friend has politely offered for her boyfriend to spend one night with the reader.
And then chaos ensues.
But who should the boyfriend be?
Bang Chan, Lee Know, Seonghwa or Hongjoong?

I am once again asking for kpop scenario/fanfic writers to put a read more in their fics after the first or second paragraph. Third at the most.
If you're writing on mobile, the way to create a read more is to type: :readmore: and then hit enter after. Make sure you don't have a space after the second colon, because it won't work then.

Tumblr media
“Honey, you remember Mr. Choi, right?” your father asked you.
“Uh, the CEO, right?”
“Yeah. Don’t you remember playing with his little girls in the neighborhood growing up?”
“Oh! Mr. Choi San! Right.”
“Who did you think I was talking about?”
“The other one you introduced me to— the one with the incredible voice who chose pharmaceuticals over singing.”
Your father laughed heartily. You watched him with a bemused smile as he cracked up for much longer than he should’ve been laughing in the first place. Finally, he calmed down and continued, “No, not Jongho. San, yes. So, anyway, he and I were talking about your inability to get a job—”
“Great, now you’re just broadcasting it to the entire goddamn neighborhood. Dad, I said I’m trying to get in my friend’s company—”
“You’ve been saying that for months. San said he could get you a job right now, and you’re going to take it, got it?” your father interrupted.
“Come on! I want to work in the entertainment industry, not for—”
“Not another word. Look, I invited San to meet us here, and he’s going to offer you the job in front of me, and you’re going to take it, got it?”
You pouted and crossed your arms over your chest. Arguing with the man was next to impossible at this point, so you had no choice but to just listen. You sat and stewed in angry silence until the man of the hour showed up. He seemed to glide into the coffee shop while oozing charisma and intensity, making your heart nearly leap out of your chest. It had been a while since you had seen San, and the last time you could properly recollect him was at your high school graduation.
You always thought the man was attractive, but seeing him wearing a three piece suit and glasses with his hair slicked back instead of his usual attire of jeans and a t-shirt (not that he looked bad in that either) was definitely a sight to behold. You couldn’t help but hold your breath as he walked right up to you and your father, the man immediately greeting his friend first.
“Seonghwa, it’s been so long,” San said as the two went for a brief hug.
“I saw you last week at the pickle ball game, shut up,” Seonghwa rolled his eyes. “You remember my daughter, right?”
“Of course,” San smiled kindly at you as soon as he laid his eyes on you. “Hi, Y/N.”
“H-hi, Mr. Choi,” you responded weakly.
You held out your hand for him to shake, only to immediately be met by a frown. “Come on, Y/N. We’ve known each other far too long for that.”
Before you could even react, San pulled you in for a hug. You fully stopped breathing again when you felt his firm arms around you, and you nearly gasped for air when he let you go.
The three of you sat down and talked logistics. San needed a new receptionist, and it was decided you would work as his receptionist until you managed to secure the job at your friend’s company, and there were more logistics worked into the conversation, but the only thing you could think about was how you were going to pressure your friend to get you a job at their company faster because there was no way in hell you were going to last at Mr. Choi San’s company.
Tumblr media
“I-I thought I was to be your receptionist?” you asked San with complete shock upon reviewing the paperwork in his office.
“You are, though.”
“B-but this seems more like secretarial work…?”
“The term secretary seems to be a little demeaning nowadays. How about office assistant for the title, then?”
“Am I helping you or the office?”
“Executive assistant.”
“I-I… I don’t know…”
“Y/N,” San sighed. “We both know that your father is going to kill you if you don’t take this job, so call yourself whatever you want, but this is what’s going to be expected of you here since this is the only position we need to fill. Sorry, but that’s the deal.”
“Alright, Mr. Choi…” you reluctantly accepted your fate and started signing your name on the documents.
After submitting the documents to him, you made your way out of his office and went to your station, your mind reeling with thoughts. You wondered if you could get out of the job by messing up every single thing that came your way, but if you did, your father would have your head. That, but you also did not want to mess up the relationship between your father and the man you were working for, so you just settled for putting even more pressure on your friend to get you the hell out of this job.
Tumblr media
Your friend did not pull through. It had been six months, and your friend had yet to hold up their end of the bargain, but honestly, you weren’t complaining. You found yourself having fun working for San. He was very understanding and patient, which surprised you given how he used to yell at your friends to get their ass in the house to finish their homework when you all were growing up.
Those little anecdotes, however, slowly started to seep out of your mind. You had to do your best to remember these memories because, honestly, you were starting to forget who San was in your life. He was slowly morphing from the neighbor kids’ dad to the incredibly sexy man you reported to on a daily basis.
While you were insanely attracted to the man, you still made sure to do your job well. This meant that if San texted you at two in the morning on Sunday, you responded to him. This meant that if he needed you to stay and work overtime with him, you did it. This meant that if he asked you to run personal errands with him, you went with him.
“Y/N, can you come here for a second?” San asked you one day at work.
“What is it?”
“Smell this.”
San opened his suit jacket and gestured for you to come closer, which you did so very cautiously. You took a light sniff of his jacket from about a foot away and said, “Good.”
“Really? You smelled it from all the way there?” San was skeptical. “Seriously, I need to know. Can you actually smell it properly, please?”
Your brain told you to refuse, but your hormones, which were already swimming because you could actually smell how amazing his cologne was from that foot distance, said otherwise. You shifted closer and sniffed again while getting a good whiff this time. You felt your face heat up slightly as you nodded and said quietly, “It smells good, Mr. Choi.”
“Must you call me Mr. Choi?” San sighed as he adjusted his jacket. “It’s very stifling.”
“Mr. Choi, you’re my boss. I’m going to be respectful.”
“And for that, I thank you, but sometimes, I seriously hate when you call me Mr. Choi.”
“Why is that?”
“It’s… Stifling.”
You blinked and looked the man right in the eye. “You already said that. Is everything okay?”
San let out a light sigh before shaking his head. “It’s fine. I’d just rather hear you call me by my name.”
There was a brief moment of silence between the two of you, and when San looked at you again, your heart fluttered rapidly. There was something unspoken in his gaze that made you want to find out more, and if it weren’t for his cologne, you probably would’ve let it go.
“What do you mean?”
“I… Never mind. Just let it go. Anyway, can you look over this report for me?”
San gestured for you to approach closer, which you did, and soon, you were leaning over his shoulder and reading the report on his computer screen. You got more and more of the notes of his cologne, the pine and the musk seeping into your brain and deleting all the logic in it. It deleted so much of your common sense that you found yourself leaning so far over his shoulder that your breasts pressed against it, turning you on even more just feeling how firm his broad back was.
“It looks good. I would just change a couple of sentences.”
“Which ones?”
Pushing further into him, you moved so that you were right against him as you moved his mouse and clicked around before reaching over and typing on his keyboard. The more intimate your actions became, the more the tiniest bit of your rational brain left screamed at you to stop, but you didn’t want to, and you couldn’t when San placed his hand over yours, his hand engulfing yours and the mouse.
“I see. Thank you, Y/N.”
“You’re welcome, San…”
You should’ve moved. You shouldn’t have been that close to him in the first place. You should’ve stopped either yourself or him, but it was too late. When he reached for your cheek with his other hand, you could’ve moved away; but instead, you moved into his touch— his warm, gentle touch.
“Tell me to stop,” San breathed out as he brought your face to his.
You didn’t dare tell him to stop. He pressed his lips gently against yours at first before pulling back to gauge your reaction. But, you didn’t want him to stop. You wanted to feel the warmth of his lips seep into yours, his hold on your face to slip from your cheek to your neck, then maybe down your shoulder, hips, and to your waist. And, like a mind reader, he did just that. He kissed you once more, this time with more force and passion. His hands moved so that he brought you onto his lap, one hand on the back of your neck and the other on your waist as he kissed you ferociously.
“Fuck,” San breathed out in between kisses. “Please don’t tell me to stop now, beautiful.”
There was no way in hell you were going to tell him to stop now.
Tumblr media
“Gosh, you’re so pretty,” San uttered as he brushed your hair out of your face. “Don’t stop moaning for me, beautiful.”
Your relationship with the CEO got very complicated to say the least. After that day in his office, the two of you simply could not keep your hands away from each other. You loved it when he held you close to him and made you feel like the most special girl in the world, and he loved it when you sank into his embrace, your body begging for more than a simple hug. So, frequently, after work, you found yourself spending restless night after restless night in San’s hotel suite.
“San— Ah!” you moaned loudly when he pushed his face under your jawline and left sweet, painful kisses behind your ear. “I want you… Please…”
“What do you want, beautiful?” San asked, his hands trailing down your body before hooking into the waistband of your skirt and panties and pulling down. “Do you want my fingers to fill you up?”
Two of his fingers stroked the lips of your quivering pussy lightly, making you cling to his shoulders. While one hand worked on making you wetter, the other pushed your shirt up and went under your bra, his thumb tracing circles over your nipple.
“Or do you want me to toy with your nipples and pinch them until they turn purple?”
“I want you in me,” you whined. “Don’t tease me… Please…”
You watched San’s face go a light shade of pink as he heard you whine and beg. Quickly withdrawing his hands, San got straight to work, his clothes falling to the ground rapidly. “Of course, beautiful. Anything for you.”
As San tore open a condom packet and rolled it on his throbbing, fat cock, you got out of your own clothes and tossed them aside, your arms outstretched for him as soon as the two of you were ready. San fit himself into your perfect embrace and rubbed his cockhead along your folds and against your sensitive clit a couple times before pushing into you. You moaned loudly and brought San further into your embrace as you clung to him, your body still not used to his massive size.
“Fuck, darling, you’re so tight,” San groaned in your ear as he dropped his head down. “I’m going to start moving, okay?”
You could only muster a nod in response. The second San started moving, you dug your fingernails into his skin and held him tightly, your cunt tightening further as you brought your legs around his waist. Your heart and pussy clenched when you heard his labored groans rip through your body.
“Shit, it’s like you’re trying to break my dick off,” San hissed as he rammed his cock further into you.
“San,” you breathed his name out, unable to conjure up more words as your brain was turning to mush with every harsh thrust.
You ran your fingers through his hair and grabbed his head, weakly guiding him to your lips, which he consumed in a heartbeat. Saliva dripped down your mouth as you dropped it open, allowing the man complete access to let his tongue violate your own. His thrusts didn’t let up in the slightest as he made out with you messily, his own hands squeezing and groping all of the parts of your body he desired.
“Mmm— Ah! S-San,” your voice trembled as wave upon wave of pleasure rushed through your body. “C-cum— Hnngh!”
You flung your head back into the plush pillows of the hotel suite bed and cried loudly as you felt pleasure wrack your body, your thighs and hips trembling as you came hard, your arousal fluid squirting all over the sheets.
The erotic noises of San’s cock driving in and out of you with your fluid adding squelches was too much for the man himself to bare. Pushing your hips up, San hammered into you at a fresh angle, making you cum one more time as he buried his cock deep within you. With a final, lingering grasp, San shoved himself all the way inside you, the head of his dick hitting your cervix, allowing the two of you to cum with bed trembling moans and groans. San’s cum spurt into the condom and nearly burnt a hole within you with how hot his load was.
“Fucking hell,” San hissed under his breath as the high of his own orgasm wore off. “Darling, that was so fucking good. You’re so fucking good. You’re too good to me…”
San let out a blissful exhale and kissed you lightly over and over again as his searing hot cock remained inside you, the heat from the man’s body revving your engine up all over again. But, that moment quickly faded when you heard his phone ring. With a groan of disappointment, San forcibly detached himself from you to answer the call.
“What does she want now?” you heard San utter to himself as he fully got out of the bed to answer the call.
You combed out your hair with your fingers and struggled to sit yourself up. Wrapping yourself in the duvet, your eyes warily tracked San as he paced the hotel room slowly.
“I don’t understand why you’re having such a hard time signing these papers… It’s been five years. Stop dragging your feet.”
It was his wife. His wife. The woman you came to respect as you grew up. The woman who was the mother of your friends. The woman who was still married to the man you were sleeping with. San’s fucking wife.
“San, we can work this through. We’ve done it so many times in the past. Please, think about your daughters.”
Each word ripped through your heart. Here you were laying in a hotel bed with the father of your friends while his wife, the mother of your friends, was trying to repair their broken relationship. A bad feeling settled in your gut as you thought back to the happy memories of your friends and their family.
“They’re grown women. I’m sure they’re just as sick and tired of all of this as I am. Sign the papers.”
“San, please.”
“Sign the goddamn papers. I have to go. Don’t call me again unless you’ve done so.”
With that, San hung up; and although the conversation had ended, the terrible feeling plaguing your heart did not.
“What’s wrong, beautiful?” San asked as he laid eyes on your consternated face.
“San, you’re still married,” you whispered out.
“That relationship ended years ago, Y/N,” San said with a heavy sigh. “Please don’t look at me like that. Don’t be alarmed.”
“How can I not be alarmed, S—”
Before you could finish your thought, San sat down on the bed and cut you off with a kiss— a telling kiss, a kiss that showed you just how much you meant to him.
“I said don’t be. You trust me, right?” San asked with his low, reassuring voice and that lingering hand that cupped your cheek just right. “Don’t think about it. It’s done. It’s been done. I… I love you, now.”
You wanted to cry. Tears brimmed your eyes as you heard the words leave his mouth. The feelings you tried denying yourself were coming to surface, but you knew that you should not let them surface at all. Not like this. Not when you were coming in between a family.
“I… I know, San,” you responded lamely.
It certainly did not help when he wrapped those big, strong arms— the arms you fell in love with— around you. You remained limp in his arms as San did his best to show you exactly how much you meant to him, but that didn’t change the fact that what you were doing was seriously wrong and that it needed to end before anyone else got hurt.
Tumblr media
San didn’t know what happened or where he went wrong. The only thing he knew for sure was that your resignation letter was on his desk. You didn’t say anything in that letter other than that you were leaving. No reason as to why or how— you were simply leaving. However, San was having none of that.
He raced to your house. He broke many laws doing so, but, God, he needed to see you. He needed to know what went wrong, and he needed to know as soon as possible since his messages to you weren’t delivering, his calls weren’t going through, and even his emails were getting bounced back.
When San knocked on your door, though, he did not expect to see your father, and he did not expect to see the man so angry.
“You have some fucking nerve showing up here, you asshole,” Seonghwa spat out.
“Seonghwa, what’s—”
“Who the fuck do you fucking think you are, Choi San?! You fucking psychopath!”
“What are you going on about?”
“You slept with my daughter! What on fucking Earth is wrong with you!” Seonghwa screeched, his voice nearly echoing in the silent streets of the neighborhood.
San’s blood ran cold. Sure, in the back of his mind, there was a constant reminder that you were the daughter of his friend, the friend of his daughters, the girl he watched grow up right before his very eyes, but none of that actually registered until Seonghwa berated him.
“You fucked my fucking daughter, Choi San!” Seonghwa yelled at the man. “Stay the fuck away from me and my family you, you fucking disgusting human being! How fucking dare you lay a finger on her like that when I trusted you!”
“Seonghwa, you don’t understand! We—”
“I don’t give a fuck! I heard it from my daughter, and I certainly don’t need to hear it from you, San! I recommend you stay the fuck away from me and her, otherwise I’m going to slap your ass with a lawsuit you piece of shit!”
Seonghwa slammed the door in his face. San, motionless, stayed on the front porch with his head bent down in shame not because Seonghwa yelled at him, but because he did the unthinkable— he fell in love with you. You, his best friend’s daughter. You, the woman he never should have gotten intimate with. You.
You watched him from the window in your bedroom as he let out a sigh and retreated to his car, and you continued to watch him as he sat in his car and held his head with one hand and his chest with the other. You couldn’t see his face, but you could tell.
He was crying too.

ateez as my fav tropes
Please ignore my crappy spelling and what not i am def not a writer-- simply writing my thoughts as they come baby /// i am literally so terrified of posting this but whatever (゜∀。)
Friends to lovers: a personal fav; like so good and classic how could you go wrong?? I 100% believe any of the members would fit in this trope but specifically-- Yunho, Wooyung, Jongho and Yeosang
Arranged Marriage au: will literally scream and cry for this au likee?? Especially if it includes enemies to lovers KEKEKE this no doubt for me is Seonghwa and Mingi-- i just think this is such a silly little idea (>///<)
Pirate au: obvi this is a little too fitting for ot8 but i genuinely love this au; like you can't go wrong with it; the sea, stealing, being pirates, ships, being pirates, swords, literally everything; so silly and i love it- just all of that good good fills up my brain juices like no other ( ˘▾˘)~
Brothers best friend: now this one… lord let me tell you; i wholeheartedly believe this is ment for Jongho like someone tell me you agree (T^T) ; he is just so perfect for it like… the sorta  unobtainable man of your dreams AHUVDGBDJKIDVH i could pass away rn.  He's good at everything and you’ve had a crush on him for forever but HE CANNOT BE ATTAINED LIKEEE??? Oh my god this idea is going to make me spiral- Jongho plus was like a new boom of love for me so I’m eating this shit up rn ;^; OH MY GOD THE PINING!?!?!!!? Like it would be mutual BUT YOU DONT KNOW THAT //// slowburn af is all im saying-- so kind and so soft with that good good yummy sprinkle of angst- I’m sorry i’m invested now…
Anyways, San also is so perfect for this but his would be more of a friends to lovers scenario ya feel
YEOSANG KEKEKE also pretty self explanatory me thinks
Oh no! there's only one bed ¬‿¬ : i will eat this for  breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Thank you very much.
Dont even get me started on if literally nothing but unbearable tension happens because- like for real, as much as i can't stand tension I  also can’t say no// sigh.. such is life… // got sidetracked but literally ot8 like-- jkjk it's Seonghwa 2000%; maybe its my bias talking but he just screams this shit like- my respectful king but the fucking tension could be cut with a knife ( i love saying that its so silly and classic anyways..) but would anything happen???  yea who knows but it would for sure be juicy-- glances, faint touches, so super nervous but still so sweet BDUKVEFUWKBDUF i could go crazy.
kim hongjoong. like friends to lovers oh no he crawls into the wrong bed moment. ya feel...
I CAN NOT ESCAPE THIS THOUGHT NOW!>!? oh my god tried af Hongjoong + literally was asleep u?? yea goodbye. purely fluff and kind and love-- like the "oh my god he looks so cute sleeping. ...AM I IN LOVE WITH MY BEST FRIEND!?!??" ya feel the vibe?? sigh i love this thought. XDDD ( i think XD is so silly and fun i don't even care)
Fake dating: I literally can not let myself talk about this. It's truly  just so yum.
BABY YOU KNOW IT’S YUNHO. Like he’s ultimate boyfriend material so I feel like it’s a natural choice. OH MY GOD the “i know this is fake but it feels so real” VHDUEVFUDKQ. We all know Yunho is our acting king so HOW COULD YOU TELL?? IS IT REAL OR NOT??!??  But then even in private  he’d be so sweet-  IS IT CUZ HE LIKES U BACK?? You’ll never know T_T (spoiler alert the feels are mutual KEKKE)
I don't really have a preference over if they know each other beforehand or not-- so silly and fun either way
Honorable mentions aka i don't feel like screaming and trying to write that down:
Mutual Pining
Slow Burn ///
Coffee Shop AU (hongjoong yea i see ur ass; YOU TOO WOOYOUNG)
Please do not mention how many times i say like or use ellipses….

I was trying to sleep but couldn't stop thinking about this so here's:
ATEEZ AS LOVE/RELATIONSHIP TROPES pt. 1
Hongjoong: Workplace Romance
NSFW
You had both found each other insanely attractive ever since you met and kept finding excuses to run into each other at work. One late night alone at the office and slight sleep deprivation has you finally confessing. Well, has him kissing you against his better judgement and soon enough pinning you up against a wall, whispering how much he likes you as he rocks his hips into yours and bites into your neck.
Seonghwa:
SFW
Not exactly sure which would fit him to be honest.
1. You're a single parent and he's your kid's kindergarten teacher and you run into him one day at a parent's evening. You hit it off really well and he starts greeting you personally every morning when you drop your child off and eventually asks you out for coffee. He's your child's favourite teacher by the way so don't worry about your kid not accepting him.
Or
2. Accidental love
You realise you're late for a meeting as you check your watch when you leave the coffee shop and you book it down the sidewalk in a panic and don't notice the handsome stranger heading home after a breakfast run. You crash into him, your latté spilling all over you and him and his paper bag of treats from the local bakery falling to the pavement.
"Oh, shit I'm so sorry!" You're floundering, trying to save his breakfast and trying to helplessly wipe his sweater dry with your jacket sleeve.
You slow down as a warm hand covers yours on his chest and you finally look up, met by a devastatingly handsome face and smile.
"Hey, calm down. You're alright and so am I." His voice is gentle and you start calming down instantly.
"I still feel so bad, I'm so sorry."
He just shakes his head with that pretty smile, "Don't worry. But if you still feel bad you're welcome to make it up to me."
"Pardon?" time is ticking away but you're enraptured by this man.
"Let's get breakfast sometime when you're free."
Yunho: Childhood friends to lovers
SFW
Let's be real, this man is built for this trope.
You've known each other since before you could walk and growing up together meant you learnt everything about each other. The more he learns about you each year the deeper he falls in love with you until one day at your birthday party he accidentally drunkenly confesses. You're shocked (he returns your feelings?!) but dodge him when he tries to kiss you.
He panics and doesn't speak to you for a week, convinced you hate him now. Eventually you catch him alone and explain to him that you don't hate him, you just didn't want something that meant that much to you to happen while either of you were drunk. All his panic and nerves melt away as you cup his face in your hands and gently kiss him.
Yeosang: classmates to lovers
SFW
I wasn't really sure what to put for him but this just made sense to me.
You've had crushes on each other the whole of this semester and constantly sneak glances at each other in shared classes. You've made friends with his friends and he with yours and know pretty much everything about each other but have both been too shy to say anything to each other at all.
That is, until he is assigned as your partner for an assignment and eventually you work up the courage to say something to him after a couple of meetings. He's a little slow on the uptake, bless him, and it only kicks in that you're confessing to him when you give him a soft peck to the lips. His brain catches up and soon your project is long forgotten as he lifts you onto the desk and kisses you the way he's been wanting to the whole semester.
Part 2

ATEEZ fic tropes I hate but could be totally wrong about the reasons why I hate them
Calling Wooyoung “Woo.” It’s pronounced without the w in Korean - like, ooh-young - so, like, what, they’re calling him “Oo”? No.
Calling Wooyoung “Young-ah.” I’ve never heard Wooyoung being called that on reality shows, it’s always Wooyoungie.
Any of the 99zers calling each other “hyung” casually. They’re same-age friends. Yeosang would only call Yunho “hyung” if he was feeling very respectful. Ditto San for YS and YH, ditto Mingi for SN, YS, YH, ditto Wooyoung for all of them.
