And last of all, Khal Drogo brought forth his own bride gift to her.

An expectant hush rippled out from the center of the camp as he left her side, growing until it had swallowed the whole khalasar.

When he returned, the dense press of Dothraki gift-givers parted before him, and he led the horse to her.

She was a young filly, spirited and splendid. Dany knew just enough about horses to know that this was no ordinary animal. There was something about her that took the breath away.

She was grey as the winter sea, with a mane like silver smoke.

Hesitantly she reached out and stroked the horse’s neck, ran her fingers through the silver of her mane.

Khal Drogo said something in Dothraki and Magister Illyrio translated. “Silver for the silver of your hair, the khal says.”

“She’s beautiful,” Dany murmured.

“She is the pride of the khalasar,” Illyrio said. “Custom decrees that the khaleesi must ride a mount worthy of her place by the side of the khal.”

It is always strange to be around the see in winter. In Helsinki we have a couple of months every year to familiarize ourselves to the idea that sea is not only about summer holidays, but still coming from a seriously landlocked country the concept seems to be against nature.

Challenge day 211 (actual day 215)

Nordic Bay w / the UTR team.

Despite the calm conditions it was incredibly murky around the island at Nordic this morning. I confess to checking over my shoulder a few times; it felt a little ‘sharky’ today. Nothing larger to report however than a Porcupine fish (Allomycterus pilatus - also sometimes referred to as the ‘deepwater burrfish’), a tonne of the ‘sea chub’ cousins Blue Maomao (Scorpis violacea) and Sweep (Scorpis lineolata) schooling around the rocks, and the usual inverts.

I did however decide to do some deeper/longer drops today and I saw a pair of Two Spot Demoiselles (Chromis dispilus) hiding under a shelf just after taking the shot of the P.fish. Not sure if they were guarding eggs but they were only small. It seems to be harder to spot these little beauties along the coast nowadays.

On the way back in there was also a beautiful eleven armed starfish (Coscinasterias muricata) with the most amazing pattern that looked like a flower. The pattern was so unusually symmetrical that, when I first saw it, I thought it was a plastic kind of object that has been flushed out to sea!

The fact that we, Arabic-speaking average people(aka non-journalists), have to keep up with translating Palestinian posts from Arabic to English to avoid having Western Media/Pro-Zionists mistranslate on purpose, says enough about how we all lost trust in the media. From the "there's a list" guy who was standing in front of a calendar and condemning the days of the week, to the BBC's mistranslation of a freed Palestinian hostage's interview. I will try my best to keep translating whatever I can find, and I encourage my fellow bilingual/multilingual Arabs to do the same. It's already sad enough that Palestinian journalists and even children have to use English in videos instead of their native tongue in order to get the world leaders' attention.

Please keep speaking about Palestine.
