oh, what a dream it is to be the spouse of the strongest archon in teyvat, whom he wed right after archon war ended. some might see the celebratory wedding as something uncouth; an utter disrespect to the lives lost at war and the bereaved families, but the lord of geo disagrees. what could be a better reassurance to ensure the people of liyue would start believing in and striving for a brighter future, than the joyous union of the new geo archon who defended them throughout the arduously long war and the prosperity goddess who has the power to bless the land and its people?
you're draped in gold and red as you sign the oath in blood; sealing your matrimony amidst the cheers of the mortals and immortals alike. the ruby reds on your lips are plush and soft against their god's own, the gossamer thread of embroidered gold of your clothing matching your now-husband's attire. even the bright blue sky seemed to celebrate such a joyous occasion, casting its warm rays upon the now-peaceful land of liyue to offer you its blessing.
they do not know that one certain party was most ardently unwilling to take the vow under one of the most sacred contracts of all.
they need not know that the marriage was a desperate attempt to shackle you to him and erase your individual worth as a goddess; to ensure you are remembered as rex lapis' beloved wife, the matriarch of liyue. they need not know, for just as no one questioned why the god of freedom was not invited into the banquet, no one questioned why a sheer veil covered the lower part of your unsmiling face, or the fact that countless shackles cor petrae accessories heavily rested against your neck and limbs.
what they do know is that this is your prison home ー he is your captor home and you will never belong anywhere else.
and perhaps given a few eons, you shall learn it too. worry not, your husband is a patient god. but you best remember that a god's patience, too, has its limits.

Oracle!Reader Part 24
Masterlist - Part 1, Part 23
Warning! My AU is yandere and can involve gore. Sensitive topics appear in this series. This chapter is a bit bloody but not that bad.
In all honesty, you never expected to be the one to say ‘no’ to a proposal. Love wasn't something you frequently chased, and being a heartbreaker was even farther from your mind.
Maybe that's why you laughed so merrily at Zhongli’s face when you rejected him.
Then again, he wasn't proposing his heart, nor his love. Morax, Rex Lapis, or rather  Zhongli was offering an alliance of mutual benefit.
“What's your reasoning for rejecting my proposal? I may not marry you as the Geo Archon, but I'm not undesirable as I am now.”
He takes a moment to think as his fingers taps on his chin. The way the diamond of his iris shrinks and the slight grimace on his face raises a red flag in your mind.
“You aren’t rejecting me solely due to the fact that I’m not operating as this country’s Archon are you?”
.
.
.
The smile on your face becomes tight as your hand shakes with the unmeasurable amount of effort to not flip him off right there. Just what did you do that could have caused such a stupid reasoning to come from his usually smart mouth?
“What the fuck made you think that I even gave a shit about you being an Archon?” Well maybe you couldn’t hold your tongue, but granted you didn’t really need to either.
The man bristles, but ultimately doesn’t answer your question, choosing to instead repeat the first question. “Why are you rejecting my proposal, then?”
“Because you don’t love me.”
“I could learn to love you.”
“But that goes against the terms and conditions of what a marriage is supposed to consist of.”
This brings Zhongli to a halt as he stews on your answer. With a smaller voice, he continues, “The legalities of our marriage would be decided on what vows we utter during the ceremony.”
“Not according to the Creator.” It’s like saying ‘no you’ in an argument, especially with how Zhongli’s face contorts into clear annoyance.
“With what proof do you claim that as the truth? Nothing in any scriptures on Teyvat says that.” He seems to realize what answer you’ll give him even before you open your mouth by sighing.
“Because I’m the Oracle.” The self-satisfied smirk on your face is clear as you step closer to poke his chest. “Unless you’re suddenly going to claim that I’m wrong? Should we cut off another limb? Maybe your pitiful rat-tail as an ornament to decorate it.”
He pushes you away by your head, the material of your mask is cool under his fingers as you let him push you back with a laugh. He tsks at your antics and smoothly replies.
“Have you finished laughing? There’s no need to pick at my appearance when I wouldn’t do the same to you, whenever you would have shown me your face once we wed.”
Light laughter calms down into a brief hum as you take in his words. It’s all just a well-timed cover-up for the internal panic that you had at realizing that marrying him would mean being forced to reveal yourself one way or another.
“Fair point. Do you really want a serious answer from me anyway?” The swift conversation turn doesn’t go unnoticed by Zhongli, but he concedes by answering.
“Yes. Your reasoning may bring me more information on the Creator’s personal beliefs, or even aspects of humanity that I failed to learn firsthand yet.”
“Like rejection?” The smart-ass reply is met with an unimpressed stare as he comments. “Humorous, but not incorrect.”
“I wasn’t completely joking when I said that it’s mostly due to the Creator. Marriage in Liyue at least is mostly decided by the parents.” Your chapped lips become a bit more manageable to speak with as you lick them. “I don’t remember mine, and the closest thing you have to a parent is the Creator themselves, or maybe Teyvat?” Which was a weird thought, but you couldn’t really be sure how to view it.
“Therefore your marriage, or at the very least, my marriage, considering that I was personally sent on a mission by them, should be under the Creator’s control and only theirs. My opinion on it shouldn’t matter.” This was how you remembered China’s history worked, so Liyue hypothetically should have a similar system.
Zhongli’s frown deepens at your answer as you shrug your shoulders. As if you didn’t just make this whole answer up so that you can avoid marrying the ticking time bomb that wouldn’t hesitate to murder you in a split second.
Sure, there was increasing evidence that your acolytes gained this weirdly strong attachment to you, but you weren’t betting your entire life on it. The moment the mask was gone, your life was going to follow it.
“Then it seems I can do nothing but accept your teaching. Thank you for enlightening me on a topic that I was unaware about. Can I chalk this up to something you learned about from the scriptures written in Cloud Ret-”
He cuts himself off as he looks down at the bustling streets below the balcony. “Xianyun’s old abode? The one’s written in indecipherable language?”
Damn, you really forgot about Cloud Retainer’s humansona. Just thinking about accidentally running into her during your visit to Madam Ping makes you irritated in advance.
“No, there are other scriptures that the Creator led me to when I was exploring.” You didn’t want Zhongli trying to trace it back to Cloud Retainers introvert cave. In fact, it was more entertaining to visualize Zhongli searching every nook and cranny of Liyue’s vast lands for said ‘scriptures’.
The sun hits your eyes directly from its position as you try to guess the time. It had to be at least 3:30 at this point, right? Just how much time did you have to see Madam Ping before the dinner with Ningguang?
Who were you even kidding, you didn’t know how to tell the time by the sun. You’ll have to ask someone once you finish rejecting Zhongli.
Noticing your far off gaze and attention no longer on him, Zhongli let the petty, unexplainable indignation at the action simmer as he forcefully turned your body to face the door.
“I believe I’ve taken up more than enough of your time. You’d best be on your way to whatever task may be next on your schedule today.”
Now you feel pretty bad about spacing out like that. “Sorry Zhongli, I was just trying to figure out the time-” Your words seemed to go ignored as he pushed you out the doorway.
“Don’t bother worrying.” Is his brief response. The touch and pressure of his hands is firm and reliable in a way you can’t fully describe, before they’re removed swiftly as if he was burned. “Instead, you can focus on relaying your gratitude the next time we meet.”
Before you can question the strange sentence, the door is already slammed shut in your face. The whiplash of his actions settles as you stare at the wood in bewilderment. Instinctive, your feet lead you back down the stairs as you toss Zhongli’s sudden attitude and words in your mind.
Surely you weren’t that rude? You’ve done and said much worse things to him after all. Replaying your conversation yielded no new revelations, so with a sense of unease, you decide to take his push for your departure as his weird version of sulking.
What he expected you to thank him for wasn’t something you were going to worry about now. The sun shines on you, making the mask a bit warmer against your skin as you exit the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor.
If he didn’t bother explaining what you should be thanking him for, then it must be something either very big or very noticeable. Walking past where the balcony was, you look up and can only spot the empty chairs and simple table.
Time will tell, you suppose.
-----------------------
You aren’t completely sure how you expected your meeting with Madam Ping to go, but being stuck inside the temple with your neck being examined carefully by the older woman wasn’t a possibility you had in mind.
“Um, Madam Ping, I’m quite sure Xianyun’s claw marks aren’t there anymore. They’ve long healed at this point.”
“Child, you shouldn’t brush off injuries left by the Adepti so easily. Many can leave varying, strange and frankly annoying effects that can permanently alter your body if not taken care of.”
Sighing, you use your right arm to sip the tea Ping generously made for you, as your left arm was also being examined for any amber fragments from Mountain Shaper.
“You really don’t have to worry. Dr. Baizhu was the one who healed me up, so there’s nothing off about my body.” Ping relents and lets you fix your clothing as she steps away.
It was honestly surprising when she first spotted you and immediately apologized for her Adepti companion's actions. Yaoyao and Shuyu, Xianyun’s youngest disciple, were quick to be corralled away as Madam Ping brought you to one of the smaller rooms for examination.
“It must be an illuminated bird quality to be somewhat violent toward me. Maybe when I meet Xiao, I’ll get an injury from him too.” The joke slips out easily, but when Ping sighs and shakes her head in disapproval, you’re quick to shut your mouth.
“That would be even worse, as the karmic debt can be accidentally seeped into your wound that way.” Each sentence Ping says is clear worry, so you can’t be too annoyed at the slight nagging.
“Even still, I hope you have it in your heart to pray that the Creator forgive my headstrong and stubborn companions.” And here’s the catch. “I’m afraid it hasn’t been long since any of them have been trying this hard to understand humans on a personal level, so they tend to revert into their more proud egos when faced with the unexpected.”
There it was, all the excuses. You were really hoping Ping wouldn’t be the kind enabler that asks the victim to forgive the assaulter under the guise of some excuse. You’ve dealt with more than enough back on earth when bullies actually had abuse and other fucked up shit going on at home.
Likewise, you weren’t about to put up with it from some ‘illuminated beings’ that had more than enough years to learn how not to be judgmental sad sacks of shi-
“I’ll still properly scold them for you, but it’s the Creator’s opinion that I’m truly concerned about.” Would you get in trouble for punching her? Probably. Yanfei is close with her and the best lawyer in existence.
It wasn’t worth it, you told yourself. It wasn’t worth it to argue with Ping about whether it was okay for the Adepti to hurt you or anyone else, solely depending on how connected they were to the Creator. It absolutely wasn’t worth it to point out how the Adepti’s lack of control over their emotions and harsh judgements couldn’t just be scolded away. And that they definitely weren’t allowed to get away with unneeded violence simply because they’re stubborn.
The building tension as Ping continued to ramble and your death grip on your pants was broken by Yanfei walking in while looking off to the side.
“Granny, I heard you came - Oh. Hello there!”  Yanfei’s casual greeting had you melting back into the oracle position as you smile calmly at Yanfei.
“Hey, nice to meet you. I was just talking with-” You’re cut off by Ping moving to stand in front of Yanfei and begin to explain and introduce you. Including the fact that the other Adepti attacked you and that you were the oracle.
Well, it’s better than you retelling the story. It’s better to let others lie for you, especially considering the close relations. It’s not like Ping’s way of speaking was fast or overwhelming, it just felt like you would be wrong for whatever reason if you tried interfering.
Doesn’t stop the surge of annoyance, though.
Deciding to just leave as soon as possible and not get into a fist fight with a hidden Adeptus, you move off the bed and walk closer to the duo. Without much trouble, you’re able to slip past them until a hand tugs your wrist quickly before releasing it.
“Sorry, but I just wanted to introduce myself to you before you leave. My name is Yanfei. I'm the top legal advisor in Liyue.” A business card is handed to you as she speaks.
Accepting it, you examine the card to not be rude before stuffing it into your bag. While you’ll probably forget about it, it’s not bad to have it in case you visit Fontaine. Or if things with Ninggnuang get into legal territory.
What actually got your attention was how Yanfei went through the trouble of cutting off Ping to speak personally to you. Could this be the first Adepti related character to treat you with respect as a normal person?
The fact that you’re amazed by basic human decency is pretty fucking sad. The difference in treatment between her and Ganyu despite both of them being half-adeptus is staggering.
“Thank you. Just as Madam Ping explained, my name is Y/N, and I’m an Oracle for the Creator.” At least the old woman didn’t butt in yet. “Yaoyao visited me yesterday to meet her. I just didn’t expect to meet you here as well.”
“You suit your position rather well.” Her head tilts slightly to the side, making the Mora decorations jingle. “Although I haven’t met you before, just by your appearance alone I can guess that you’re either-” A finger is raised. “A - you’re not from here. Or B - you don’t have a traditional job.” The second finger joins the first as she takes in your appearance in completion.
“I would put inhuman beings or vision holders on the list, but your aura is completely that of a human, but also not one of a vision holder. In a way, you remind me of the traveler.”
“It does make sense.” You reply with a noncommittal shrug. “The traveler was the first Acolyte, and I’m the first Oracle, so there’s bound to be some uncanny similarities between us.”
Madam Ping wistfully sighs at the mention of the traveler. “Ah yes, the Hero of Liyue. I was able to gift them that teapot, but what a shame that I don’t have another one to spare for you, esteemed Oracle.”
And here comes the half-praise, half-demeaning words that’s meant to belittle you into feeling worthless while giving meager praise to make her sound generous.
“There would be no need to, since I intend on enjoying our God’s creations rather than hiding away from it in an Adeptal piece of machinery.” A wide grin adorns your face with canines clear to see, but your voice is as excited as a child’s with innocence clear.
Those that hear you would assume nothing but ignorance at fault, but the ones that can see how your eyes dimly gleam with mockery would think otherwise.
Isn’t it so good that Yanfei is by your side while Ping is in front of you?
The words clearly hit a nerve, as Ping’s smile drops into a horribly wrinkled frown. Yanfei’s teal eyes look between you two with a smile that dissolves into a confused furrow of her brows.
“My apologies, child, I was unaware that you were so deprived of empathy for others that you can reduce the hard work of the Creator’s chosen protectors of this land into a symbol of defilement.” The last few words are scathing as her face contorts into a gruesome mess of sagging skin.
“Granny, I understand why you’re mad but-” Yanfei takes a step forward, but is cut off by Ping raising her hand while stepping closer to you.
“I can now understand why Shenhe, that poor pitiful child, was so conflicted about her emotions toward you. I may not understand why the Creator chose a human of your breed to have that holy position, but I can only pray that this journey teaches you a lesson concerning those that you have wronged in this way.”
“Granny!” Yanfei yells in shock as she moves between you two, “How could you say something like that to them? You’re not only insulting them, you’re also insulting the Creator!”
She turns around to face you as she shots a grimace behind her at the fuming hag. “I am so sorry about this, you should probably go now.”
Nodding with a sad expression, you speak in a confused tone. “I-I understand. It was nice meeting you and Madam Ping. I hope we can talk again sometime.” Twisting open the doorknob and pushing it open, you sneak one last peek into the room.
Yanfei has her back to you as she yells on a whisper level. Ping doesn’t look all that pleased until her eyes stray to yours. The smugness practically rolls off you in waves as she scorns at you with disgust.
-------------------------
It was official.
You were lost.
Looking at the doors and people walking around you, you tried to remember what path you took with Ping. But each door looked the same, with different people rushing in and out.
None of them even had time to talk to you as they wheeled out screaming and bleeding people from room to room. You got glimpses of dressings pressed haphazardly on wounds as you continued walking.
Surely you still had enough time until Ningguang’s dinner?
Trying not to freak out over the time, you continue marching throughout the seemingly endless hallways and avoid bumping into the doctors, nurses and more that rush around you. Eventually you arrive at an area of the building that looks a bit calmer.
You spot a woman wearing a dress looking similar to a work uniform and decide to ask her for directions leading out of the temple. You’re about to call out to her when she opens a door and enters it while cheerfully calling out.
“Thank you so much for all the help despite your busy schedule!” She continues to walk in, giving a half-hearted push to close it.
Sneakily, you plant your foot right at the hinge of it, making it stop before it actually closes. A sense of déjà vu nags you as you stand outside the room with your head resting against the wall. You close your eyes to listen to the conversation.
“It’s no trouble at all, Daiyu. I always enjoy volunteering to help those who offer sacrifices to the Creator here.” There’s a light tilt to the voice while remaining sturdy, a good indicator that the speaker is who you think it is.
“Even so, as the Yuheng of Liyue, you still have many duties. Much more than you did when you first began to help out all those years ago…” The anxious woman is met with a brief chuckle.
“As I’ve said before, Daiyu, you can call me Keqing during these times. I’m not here as the Yuheng, but as a servant of our God to learn more.” The faint click of heels can be heard as drawers of what you assume are bandages are opened.
“Well, have you finally come to a conclusion? You know about whether self-mutilation is an ‘overdone’ and an ‘inferior’ way of worshiping the Creator?” The question is met with brief silence before Keqing responds.
“I’ve already made up my mind around the same time as Rex Lapis’s death. Self-mutilation isn’t exactly wrong per se, but it should not be our main way of worship. Our bodies were painstakingly crafted by the Creator’s hands and should not be abused. It’s why I’ve strived to keep myself in perfect shape.”
A sigh can be heard with an almost bitter note.
“But humans can not regrow lost limbs. Thus, I do not believe self-mutilation is the best way for humanity to worship the gods. Blood offerings and even human offerings of other criminals can be done, but I believe that self-mutilation should be left for extreme sins and for the Adepti to present.”
With eyes trained to the blood-stained floorboards beneath your feet, you push yourself off the wall. It seemed you weren’t going to gain any useful information from here.
“The public won’t accept that kind of view that goes against what we’ve been taught for thousands of years. Then again, that never stopped you before - Aw, damn it! There’s barely any medical supplies here, too.”
The tapping of your feet walking away is concealed by the clicking of heels.
“There’s nothing left? Ugh, probably Ningguang again. She’s always doing this stuff.”
But perhaps you should have stayed just a bit longer.
“The Tianquan?! Oh, please don’t let her know what I said! I quite like my job!”
“Relax, Daiyu, she wouldn’t care about your complaints even if she did hear them.”
“Then why are you frowning like that?”
You never know what you might hear.
“It’s just a bit strange to me. Not long ago she was doing all sorts of planning with an annoyed expression, but this morning she was pleased. She must have either taken care of whatever was bothering her or hatched the perfect, foolproof plan for it.”
----------------------------
Thankfully, you did manage to find your way back to the first floor. (When did you even walk up the stairs?) Most of the people there were rather calm, with incense and prayer rooms decorating this floor.
The smell was of cinnamon and something with a strong woody scent. The one’s in the prayer rooms had healed scars exposed, either doing a full floor bow or at least on their knees.
If they had them, at least.
It was a gruesome sight if you were to be honest. Some had skin raw red from what looked like boil scars, others with self-inflicted writing carved into their skin. Words like; ‘Holy One’, ‘Savior’, and the most popular one of all: ‘Beloved Creator’ were in some way permanently branding their skin.
The wind blew from a certain hallway, as if Teyvat was trying to finally lend you a hand in leaving this temple of smoke and blood. Taking long strides past the rooms that muttered and screamed at varying levels and intervals, you see a set of wide doors.
WHAM
The whir of a sliding door before it slams into the doorway is all you hear before a hand is wrapped firmly around your wrist and pulling you into the dark room. Your breath is knocked out of you as the soles of your shoes search for purchase.
Your hands reach up to where you were grabbed to dig into the scalp of your assailant before you both fall to the ground from the struggle.
“Let go of me!” You grit out as the slender fingers continue trying to pin you down. A feminine grunt of pain is heard as you finally manage to push her away, making your assaulter hit the wall.
Like hell! You weren’t just going to leave after being attacked for no fucking reason. Rushing forward, you pin the person against the wall as your eyes adjust to the dark room. Silvery hair can be seen in a tangle between your fingertips as you hold her wrists against the wall.
“Shenhe, what the fuck were you thinking? Are you still pissed at me? I thought we cleared it all up.” With a mix of anger, disbelief and pure confusion, you stare at her face as her features slowly become more defined.
“I just wanted to see you again…” The kicked puppy look is not suiting the bloody bandages wrapped around her left eye. Or what used to be her eye. “I didn’t hurt you this time.”
“Dragging an unsuspecting person into a dark room isn't not hostile either, Shenhe.” She simply stares at you in silence, as if she’s incompetent enough to not understand your words. “We almost fought to our deaths last time we met. How am I not supposed to assume that you’re trying to hurt me?”
Shenhe’s head drops a little bit as her mouth opens and closes repeatedly with no success. After giving her a moment, you sigh with a hint of annoyance and let go of her. “I have to get going, Shenhe. I'm not going to sit and wait forever.”
“I’m sorry.” You glance back down at Shenhe as she sits on her knees with her hands clenched tightly on her thighs. “I’m sorry for hunting you down so insistently while framing you as someone who wronged me on a personal level.”
Could you really accept this apology when you did stab her first for killing those Hilichurls you were friends with? Then again, they did give you liquor while Shenhe convinced herself that you were an evil entity. “Thanks for the apology, but that still doesn’t change much. I spent days in Bubu Pharmacy trying not to die from all the shit you and Yelan put me through.”
“I already heard about it and saw the vivid details of your healing progress while I waited outside your window that day.” Those words alone had you whipping your head around to her as your jaw dropped.
“Shenhe, what the hell!?” She staggers back to her feet with a worrying sway before taking mute steps towards your shocked form.
“A good partner is one who is attentive and keeps detailed track of their lover's affairs and health, correct?” Trying to wrap your head around the twisted logic she presents you with, you bury your face in your hands.
“Yes, but not in the context of our relationship.” You stress as your arm automatically reaches out to stop her from swaying to the ground. With your hand firmly on her arm, you continue to speak. “I know that you don’t really use that word often considering Xianyun’s teachings, but it’s pretty fucking important.”
A sole iridescent blinks lazily at you before her whole body weight is pressing down on you. It’s less of a hug and more like a ‘glomp’. Deciding to hold her by her waist to prevent being crushed by the pure muscle mass that made up her body, her forehead rests on your shoulder.
It’s burning. Definitely unusual for a Cryo vision holder.
“Shenhe? Shenhe can you hear me?” You ask as her glazed over eye stares into yours with no recognition seen in them. Swinging your head around, you finally spot a blood stained coat off to the side.
“C’mon, Shenhe, just work with me a bit to get you back to bed.” You spit out as you carry more of her weight to avoid dragging her on the floor. Thankfully, she helps out by wrapping her legs around your body and despite the slight constriction, you still manage to carry her back to bed.
Dropping her on the bed, you carefully fix her up. Brushing her hair out of her face, pulling the covers back over body, and adjusting the surrounding bandages around her injured eye to fit snugly.
She did apologize after all, it would be cruel of you to leave a person with a fever and probably an infection a mess on a bed.
That didn’t mean you were going to stay and nurse her back to health. Ningguang was probably at the restaurant at this point, and you weren’t going to be late for it.
Turning around, you take a quiet step toward the exit until a hand wraps frantically around your wrist.
“You forgive me, right?” Heavy breathing fills the room as her sweaty skin clings to the little contact she has with you. “I apologized sincerely, I’ll do it again if I must.” A trembling eye stares into your soul as her voice breaks. “Please…”
You stare down at the disciple with an unreadable expression until a smile breaks out onto your face. Shenhe’s grip loosens as hope begins to light up. Your other hand gently removes her fingers from your wrist before you whisper.
“Why don’t you sleep on it, Shenhe?”
Her eyes slide shut from pure exhaustion as you walk away and exit the room. After taking note of the room number, you resume your short walk to the exit. A nurse is nearby and just as you pull one of the wide doors open, you lean in to whisper a brief message.
The door closes shut behind you as the nurse rushes away. With careful footsteps, you walk leisurely toward the Xinyue Kiosk. The burning stares of civilians and soldiers alike are rolled off you in waves.
It was pointless to fight with the puppets when the puppet master invited you to meet her.
A feel like this part took forever. It's just the beginning of my spring break before I have another quiz and exam. So my break is just more studying, wonderful. My editor didn't need to do much considering the small size but I also feel like this wasn't the best of my work. I did write piece by piece every few nights when I got back home dead tired. I really can't wait for this semester to end…. But I'm also really excited to get started on the dinner with Ningguang! Taglist is always open!

"If the pedestal is beautiful, then the statue must be even more beautiful." (Yandere!Zhongli/reader)
a/n: I do not regret this one bit. while i do feel bad abt yaoyao's suffering, at least i wrote something unhinged again + it aint a zhongli fic without me referencing proverbs lMAO--
unreliable synopsis: “(Y/n) must be a really important person if Rex Lapis made them a statue, right?”
Tumblr media
Yaoyao found a realistic statue inside Mt. Hulao.
As she was exploring the area with Qiqi to find herbs, Yaoyao discovered a secret domain that was only accessible to children her size and smaller creatures like Yuegui. It was horribly muddy and extremely narrow. She wouldn't go there on purpose if she hadn't fallen inside after exhausting herself trying to climb a hill just for a stem of violetgrass.
She anticipated a dense mixture of dust and fog inside the cave, with layers of spiderweb adornments, but it was unexpectedly unscathed with the typical filth that embellishes a place over time. The table was piled high with multiple apparatuses that she was unable to identify, but its aesthetics screamed that it was an adeptus' prideful handiwork. Despite not being refused entry as most adeptal abode should do, she came to an unspoken conclusion that this must have been an adeptus' place, and her curiosity grew by the minute when she noticed a life-sized statue sitting in the middle of it all.
Yaoyao was unable to take her eyes off it as a halo of soft yet lurid orange light enveloped it. The statue wore a brown hanfu that was encrusted with citrine jewels fashioned into dragons and the Geo element's symbol. Their clothes looked ruffled on areas near the waist and thighs as though it was frequently hugged and touched around those parts. But what Yaoyao couldn’t forget the most was their black earring with a white tassel that hung on their right ear. She can't recall who she saw wearing that earring when she first saw it, but she had certainly seen it before.
Admittedly, the statue was nearly perfect if it weren’t for the fracture the child had caused upon bumping into it. Yaoyao would have mistaken it for a real person and apologized if it weren't for the diaphanous and stony texture it possessed.
Still, the farrago between real and fake stirred around the lost child’s head as if it was a major dilemma. She swears she had seen that earring somewhere and that chipping its pointer finger off the statue was an inexcusable and grave mistake. Was this statue designed after someone in history or a character from those fictional tales Master loved to talk about? Yaoyao couldn’t decide which is a likelier story, but she certainly didn’t want it to be the former.
In addition, what made it eerier was the anticipation of calamity on their face. It’s a look not at all visible. The majority would undoubtedly dismiss Yaoyao's perspective and assert that the monument exuded a stoic aura. But if such were the case, why does she see the look of a rabbit about to flee in their eyes? The statue’s face exhibited a great firmness that declared that it wasn't as it appeared on the outside.
The statue looked like it was fearing for Yaoyao’s life after what she had done.
To avoid amplifying her trepidation, the young girl focused her attention elsewhere. Near the statue laid a red baize-covered table full of tapestries and books Yaoyao could only reach by tip-toeing and underneath it was stacked with clothes, herbs, vulneraries, and letters without indications of the sender or addressee’s name. If so many offerings were being made, then someone really cared about whoever this statue stood for. A commendable devotion considering how the last letter was only dated about two days ago.
Whoever this statue was and whoever maintained this shrine must’ve mortified a penchant for humorous literature and scientific breakthroughs. It would've been a strange combination if it weren’t for how everything was aesthetically arranged. It was obvious that the domain was kept immaculate out of love and adoration. Under the watchful gaze of this statue, philosophy and science had united into one entity, and Yaoyao was positively enthralled.
However, it was a seasonable night and due to the touch of Nyctophobia children inevitably have, Yaoyao couldn’t tell the murky difference between excitement and fear as she quickly stumbled out of the cave.
When Yaoyao came back the following week after a busy lantern rite, the domain’s opening vanished. She brought Qiqi along and attempted to show her in quailing distress that asked for confirmation that should’ve been a hole in that wall— but Yaoyao was only met with the zombie’s catchphrase of: “I’m sorry. I forgot.”
There was no reinvasion of the cave's darkness. Not a single hump was left to indicate that something was concealed behind it.
And that led to Yaoyao hunting a certain “illuminated bird” down.
——————
“Aunty! Aunty!
“Must you grate One's ears with your incessant shouting, child?”
The bird continued to coast on its two legs while Yaoyao halted in her tracks, gasping for air. Although Yaoyao found it excruciating to attempt to keep up with the adeptus' quick treks in the mountains, it was obvious to any outside viewers that the crane was being merciful with her slow and tiny steps.
“P-Please stop aunty! I-I just want to ask a few questions!”
Cloud Retainer sighed and did as commanded.
After letting her describe the location and what she had seen inside it, Cloud Retainer nodded in the affirmation that what Yaoyao experienced truly happened. Yaoyao felt triumphant when the adeptus did not dismiss her babbling as some silly delusion, but she was unable to completely express it when she noticed a glimpse of sadness in her eyes.
“Of course it was real. One knows that location quite well, but One was never permitted to enter. That statue you spoke of would be none other than Rex Lapis’ depiction of (Y/n), the Wayward Pharmacist.”
(Y/n)?
Softly, the adeptus continued, “oh, (Y/n)… One remembers them rather fondly.”
Cloud Retainer did not raise her chin or adopt her customary condescending tone. Instead, her message matched her voice. Yaoyao was not the least bit confused by this sudden shift in demeanor.
They both know that name.
After all, (Y/n) (L/n) was Streetward Rambler’s first human disciple.
Yaoyao never inquires about (Y/n) with her master. All of Madame Ping's disciples were aware that they shouldn't broach the matter. Grief swarmed against Streetward Rambler so frequently that she bathed herself with distractions to wash away the acuteness of such regrets. She had done the most of what she could to relieve certain difficulties she had over the years, including mastering inventions and raising mortal children. While the majority of these were in her favor, the final diversion was less successful.
How can it not be painful when Streetward Rambler always sees (Y/n)’s old cheerful and ambivert nature in Xiangling and Yaoyao's eyes?
This was a rare chance to learn more about (Y/n) than just the faceless figure that her Master frequently likens her to. Madame Ping only ever briefly narrated (Y/n)’s deeds. Yaoyao relied heavily on individuals around her for her adepti history knowledge because she wasn't book-learned enough. Hence, inflicting a sense of confidence that she did not fully possess, the child continued to inquire.
“What were they like, Aunty?”
“You must understand how broad that question is.”
“Oh, r-right. Sorry!” Yaoyao sheepishly laughed. “I wanted to ask what was their personality like. Did they have friends? Or, well, what did they do?”
“(Y/n) was…” Cloud Retainer chuckled. Yaoyao couldn’t see a smile, but she heard it from her laughter. “—an obnoxious human.”
“E-Eh?!…” Yaoyao trembled. “S-Should I be worried that Master always compares me to (Y/n), aunty?”
“What nonsense— of course not. Take such compliment with high honor!” The bird towered her gaze above Yaoyao, clearly offended. Effectively, it seemed as if Yaoyao’s needless worries kindled afresh the snobbish Cloud Retainer everyone knew of. “There are only a few humans One regard as almost equals. Their obnoxiousness is what makes them wholly endearing and wholly human. If there was one true flaw One would nitpick out of all their traits, it would be their inherent obsession with longevity.”
Cloud Retainer shook her head. “Rex Lapis often debated with them over this, but (Y/n) was a stubborn mortal. Many occasions led to them being confined in a miniature domain that he keeps in his pockets. We did not agree with their dreams of becoming immortal. But other than that? (Y/n) was a humble loyalist.”
Yaoyao was inclined to believe that she was right because there were a few biological research sprinkled across the statue's domain. She had even read portions concerning Inazuman beliefs regarding stress and "ikegai" which might be related to a human's lifespan.
“Rex Lapis liked them despite arguing with him a lot?”
“Why, if you were there, you would see how adorable they were whenever they deluded themselves they could win a debate against an Archon,” the bird quipped humorously.
"Immortality had always been (Y/n)'s goal. One often told them to not be afraid of death or die worthlessly, but they never listened. They even tried to curse themselves to accomplish this, and astonishingly, they almost succeeded if it weren't for the Conquerer of Demons' unsleeping vigilance while acting on Rex Lapis' orders. The Archon always has an affectionate expression on his face when they pout over his interferences. One would have jokingly said that her friend is in love with a mortal if One didn't know any better."
“Wow…” Yaoyao covered her mouth with her tiny hands in awe. Neither of them seemed to realize that something was incredibly off about that ‘fun tidbit’. “(Y/n) must be smart if they constantly got Rex Lapis’ protection!”
“Indeed they were— were you doubting One’s abilities?! Had One not said they were close to One’s competency?”
“Ah, right.”
“They were an obnoxiously hard-working individual. Grinding their bones in hopes to grant impediments as a rival to Guizhong and I’s intellectual plays. (Y/n) lived a short life filled with effort and virtue, it is to no one’s surprise that Rex Lapis had conceived a great liking towards them,” she mused.
“Rex Lapis nearly caved and made them immortal at one point. However, he changed his mind after finding out (Y/n) had a human lover…” Cloud Retainer closed her eyes. “Perhaps that was an act of mercy. An Archon’s goodwill so that they wouldn’t have to suffer the fate of grieving for their beloved for all eternity.”
If only she knew the truth.
“They must be really important if they got a statue,” Yaoyao tilted her head, emanating a soft chime from her bell accessory. “Master only said that they were very kind and that they had a lover with green hair, and—”
“And?”
The adeptus was interested to learn what her old acquaintance talked about (Y/n). Did the grandmother compliment them on how cute they were? How, in essence, they were one of her greatest sources of delight and pride? Before Streetward Rambler took up the name “Madame Ping”, these were the typical musings she had over tea with both her and Guizhong. In a sense, Cloud Retainer merely pressed the question because she missed these times—
“And that they had a nice big family around Qingce Village! Two sons, one daughter!”
Cloud Retainer made a choking sound.
Impossible.
“Family?! Goodness gracious, it seemed Streetward Rambler has turned into quite a fabulist over time,” Cloud Retainer shook her head. “No, (Y/n) (L/n) unfortunately did not produce such a legacy.”
Legacy?
“I’m so sorry, I don’t get it, aunty. What do you mean?”
“They did not leave a child for me— for us to look after.”
Cloud Retainer cringed at her uncontrollably bitter tone. There was a point in her life where she cursed (Y/n) for this. Death was not something they can control— yes— but she used to be an ignorant fool who did not respect (Y/n)’s decision to never have children. Perhaps, in a way, this was because she wanted to see a new generation of like-minded people like them, but she will never forget the uneasy looks they gave her whenever she launched into one of her rants.
They may have been Streetward’s disciple but to Cloud? She was like their true mother. Much like most mothers of the old generation, she selfishly wished they left behind even a non-blood related grandchild for her to rear after (Y/n)’s name.
“They… have gone missing. They did not die with a family of their own— we did not even find their corpse. One does not know why Streetward Rambler would tell you that.”
“Oh… I’m so sorry. I didn’t know... It must’ve been a sad loss for the adepti and everyone else.”
Cloud Retainer only looked away.
“There was no pecuniary loss for us when it had happened, sure,” she said. “But yes, it was indeed a sad time for the adepti to lose both Guizhong and (Y/n) at the same time. There could’ve been a new province of knowledge and ventures— these virtues of arts were never grasped because death had stolen their privilege of penning down their strange yet wonderful conjectures.”
“Time and time again, they had failed to accentuate any alterations in their mortal structure,” she continued. “While others sought out their writings regarding their enlightened art pieces, few looked for their progress on human mortality. One only remembers a singular human who came to find (Y/n)’s transcendental medicines. One believes his name was Baizhu. If One’s explanations were inadequate, perhaps you must seek him instead.”
Yaoyao perked up. Well, that’s lucky. She was just about to head to Bubu Pharmacy to look for the pharmacist later.
“Ah, there you are, Yaoyao!!!”
Out of the blue, Ganyu and a face unfamiliar to the adeptus disrupted the scene. This human had indigo braids wrapped up in a tight bow for hair and amber eyes. Had it not been for Ganyu and a cute little bear clumsily climbing the stairs behind her, Cloud would’ve left immediately.
“Marchosius, it has been a long time...”
“♪~?”
“Woah… Is that Cloud Retainer, Ganyu?” The unfamiliar human gawked.
“That is that. One will no longer entertain questions. One shall take their leave at once.” The adeptus did not waste another moment upon noticing Xiangling’s curious gaze. However, Cloud did give Marchosius a look of respect before taking flight.
The little girl frowned.
“Yaoyao?”
“Oh, sorry,” Yaoyao smiled forcefully. “I just remembered I didn’t get to ask her the most important question.”
“Hmm? What question were you going to get an adeptus’ advice for?” Ganyu placed a hand on her chest. “Perhaps I could help? I may not know all the answers, but I do have some connections.”
“I’m just curious…”
Yuguei jumped off the basket as Yaoyao hastily removed it from behind her. The smaller adepti treasure leaped over her head and peered attentively over as if to assist her in locating the object she was seeking. When she did grasp it, she did not do so carefully. Instead, she held it out like a young child showing off a crayon during show & tell.
Ganyu and Xiangling’s blood ran cold as the child presented them with a dismembered finger.
“Ganyu, do statues made by the adepti bleed?”

The dragon and the sacrificial lamb ft. eroded!Zhongli + gn!reader
cw/tags: rape/non-con, angst, bad ending, yandere-ish zhongli? feral/eroded zhongli, biting, crying, restraints (courtesy of improper use of geo as usual ehe)
notes: Alright this is a special one get ready. There's two "version" of this story bc I couldn't decide which path I liked more. This one is the dark/bad ending. Both stories are exactly the same at the start, changing a few word here and there but then reach a point where they divert completely in reactions/emotions and the underlying feeling of the stories are very different. They can be read independently ofc so by all means feel free to choose which tags you vibe with more or enjoy picking up the differences between both!
Bittersweet ending version here!!
Tumblr media
Once upon a time…
A long, long time ago…
The people of Liyue revered their beloved Archon Rex Lapis. Just and kind, he led his nation for millennia, upholding order and contracts, defeating countless enemies, and defending their safe Harbor.
It is said the Lord of Geo took a human as partner, and fell in love deep and pure.
And his partner loved him just as much.
A love that would tragically become a twisted obsession.
It is said the God understood that even he himself was not immune to erosion, and it would one day be his downfall. So, he made sure his people were ready to live on without him. That his adepti were strong enough to subdue him if the day ever came.
As for his lover… well…
-----
Your bare feet crunch along the soft grass as you run and run, panting, gasping for air, almost tripping and letting out a yelp but quickly regaining balance and scurrying faster, past the falling golden ginkgo leaves, past the soft sound of rushing waters.
The golden sunset is gorgeous, dying the sky pink and orange with pastel hues but you simply ignore it, having grown tired of it, sick even. It is fake, an illusion. Just as everything else in this adeptal abode.
Everything except, of course, you and the beast you are currently fleeing from.
It is useless to try to escape, this you know, and your heart clenches painfully as tears prickle at your eyes. You’ve done this before, played this game many many times. But at least for one moment… just one moment…
A roar turns your blood to ice and against all common sense you look over your shoulder to see a massive long dragon twisting in the air and diving straight towards you.
Your legs tremble and fail you as you fall down, the grass is soft but your body aches, tired, burning. You scramble around frantically to stare at the beast again and your eyes widen in panic as it lands right on top of you, majestic and terrifying, caging you with its serpentine body. The golden claws alone are as long as your forearms, digging on the ground at either side of you.
You whimper.
The dragon lowers his head, growling at you, fangs mere inches apart and you squeeze your eyes shut, tears running down your face.
“Why do you run away from me?”
“Leave me alone!” You scream.
“Are you not happy with me? My mate?”
At the words you only sob harder.
Mate.
Oh, how much joy did that word bring you once. And now you can only feel your heart shatter.
You feel a shift in the wind, in the energy, in the light around you, and when you open your eyes, the massive dragon has faded to a more human appearance. He changes back to the form you’re most used to.
Long strands of dark hair tipped amber, striking golden eyes with stunning red lines that highlight their sharpness, a handsome face and a muscular body with arms died black, and lines of gold… lines that run along his cheek and down his neck. Cracks, like a broken glass, like scars, under his eyes and around his chest, ruining the pristine skin and unable to disappear despite his ability to change forms.
The undeniable marks of erosion.
You snap back to attention when he dips down and starts nosing at your neck, his hands pulling at the robe you’re wearing, the only article of clothing you picked up before scurrying away from the mansion. It parts open easily, revealing your naked body to his eyes, littered in past bruises, hickeys and bite marks. Claims from the dragon.
“W-wait. Stop-!” You try to push him back, panicked, desperately pressing your palms against his broad shoulders, but of course he’s immovable as stone.
You kick and trash until he gets irritated and suddenly your arms are immobilized, held above your head and pressed onto the ground by heavy geo cuffs.
“Submit.” He growls.
You squirm a little more until your body sags into the ground, exhausted, panting. There is no use. Instead, you shudder as his hands grope and rub all over your body, rough and callous.
He spreads your legs and slots between them as your breath catches. His palm presses at a spot on your navel possessively, a glittering geo symbol engraved on your skin there, glowing subtly like his horns. You whine.
Then his touch goes lower and teases at your entrance, circling the hole and dipping in just barely.
“Z-Zhongli-!”
Another growl comes out of his throat, deep and guttural. “You dare speak another man’s name in my presence? In my realm? When you belong to me?!”
Your whole body shakes, with rage, with fear. Your heart about to burst. You grit your teeth and glare at the dragon god with as much venom as you can.
“I don’t belong to you!”
He snarls, eyes widening to serpentine slits.
“Insolent. No matter, I’ll fill you up again and show you.”
The eroded God leans down to bite at your neck and you yelp, sharp fangs break your skin and you cry as you feel the warm blood spill. His claws prick at your thighs as he starts unceremoniously humping against you. The ridges on his draconic cock making your hole twitch and you gasp as he presses in, dipping slightly inside your thigh warmth. No need to prepare your body after so many years of coupling. Your hole already soft and molded to him like a worn-out toy.
“No, please… n-no.” Your voice breaks, tears running down your face.
Everything turns blurry, fuzzy, and your head spins.
How had things ended up like this?
You see no love in his eyes, no recognition. And you don’t recognize him either anymore. This creature, this beast… he is not your lover. He is not Zhongli…
And hasn’t been for who knows how long…
Zhongli raises one of your legs and rests it on his shoulder while straddling the other and pushes further in the slick warmth, ignoring the sounds you make. “Too big! I can’t-!” You scream and it just urges him to slam it in. “No- Ahh!” Sheathed all the way to the hilt, Zhongli groans as you clench around him.
He immediately starts thrusting and you feel the world tilt. It’s all too much, the sound of skin slapping against skin, your walls getting battered by his thick member, his animalistic grunts and groans, and the way your body betrays you… a speck of pleasure mixed in with the pain.
It's so cruel.
“Sto- gh! Stop it! Zhongli, please…!” You sob.
Zhongli hisses, muscles taut and flexing as his hips buck into yours, finally finding that spot that has you choking out a moan, your body shivers, forced to surrender and feel everything, a hot coil building on your lower stomach where the mark of geo glows as he continues to take what he wants from your struggling form. He laps at your skin and nuzzles there, almost lovingly. “Mine.”
Your moans start turning sweeter, previously pained sounds turning to vocalizations of carnal lust, your eyes glassy. You try to fight it, conflicted, but the stimulation is too much.
You come with a raw cry through gritted teeth, tears flowing down your cheeks and your own juices coating your skin causing you to feel dirty in more ways than one. Zhongli continues through your overstimulated state, chasing his own pleasure as his thrust become erratic until finally, he stills deep inside and moans long and low, painting your insides white.
You feel him twitch inside you and groan, absolutely exhausted, overwhelmed with emotions, feeling sick, used and abused. He lowers your leg but doesn’t bother pulling out, keeping you there as he nips at your skin, murmuring soft words. “My mate. All pretty and filled up. All mine. Love you.”
You can’t bear to hear those words, spoken in the voice you continue to love after all this time. It shatters your soul, breaking it to pieces like the corroded dragon’s destroyed mind.
Feeling about to pass out, you close your eyes and your head lolls to the side, sniffling against your own forearm as tears continue to fall. “I love… Zhongli. Miss him. I hate you…”
He dissolves the geo shackles into specks of gold and holds your unconscious body in his arms, satisfied with the claims and scent he’s left on you. His tail swishes slowly, pleased with himself as he carries you back to the abode’s mansion.
Home.
Were he’ll keep you safe, bound to him.
Forever and always.
-----
…It is said that his lover is the key to keep the eroded God confined.
Trapped by the possessive dragon in a sealed realm, to keep him ensnared, enchanted and bound to them.
Until they both turn to dust.

zhongli
"Good boy," you say. Zhongli's heart hums, singing a hymn dedicated to you within the confines of his chest. He hopes you can hear it. Can you tell how devoted he is to you? His every breath is yours; yours to do with as you see fit.
Zhongli's eyes flutter, a dainty blush forming on his features, only for you to see. His heart beats ardently against his ribcage as your hands tug and gently pull at his scalp, scratching at the surface intermittently.
He kneels before you on your throne of intricately carved Cor Lapis and Noctilucous Jade, his head resting on your thighs. Zhongli's lips tremble with the desire to leave soft kisses upon your skin, to worship with everything you have bestowed upon him, but he withholds the urge; fearing that if he makes any sudden movement, revealing his desperation; your affection would stop.
As you whisper sweet praises to his ears, Zhongli finds himself ever more enamored with you.
childe
"Childe, you're such a good boy."
Childe purrs. Your fingers trail from his neck to his back, lightly scratching at his skin as you go. He leans into your touch, seeking your warmth; a part of him hopelessly praying that he'll drown in it. Would you let him, if he begged enough?
He looks up at you lovingly, worshipful ardor filling his frenzied gaze. "Yes," he whispers to you, his voice soft and breathy, almost desperate. "I'm your good boy. Only yours, your Grace."
You chuckle. Childe finds himself crooning at the sound, thinking the noise akin to an angelic choir's concordant singing. He wishes for nothing more than to lose himself in it. As he pushes himself further against you, wishing for this moment to never end, he kneels his head and whispers faintly:
"Don't leave me, please."
aether
"Aether," you coo," "you're my good boy, aren't you?"
Cupping his cheek, you stroke your thumb gently over his fine, pale skin. Aether leans into your warmth, breathing brisk and ragged. "Yes, yes! I'm your good boy!" He says desperately, urgently, begging that you'll continue your praise.
If Aether had a tail, it would be wagging. "All yours." he adds, a deep red blush blooming on his delicate features. "No one else's."
You hum. His heart lurches in his throat. Do you not believe him? Aether repeats the sound in hishead like a broken record, looking up at you from his kneeling position with zealous devotion. He bows his head, then, and murmurs against your thighs.
"What do I need to do to prove it to you? For you, anything."
xiao
"Xiao," you sing. You trail a gentle finger up to his chin, softly tugging his head to look at you. A pink the same color as the apples of his cheeks tints his ears. "You're a good boy, right? My good boy?"
Xiao swallows thickly, finding it difficult to swallow in your presence. Difficult to breathe. Difficult to look at anything but you. He bites the inside of his cheek, his mind hazy and light-headed from being so close to you: his god. He chokes when you ask him again, your palm resting against his cheek, forcing his gaze to meet yours.
"Y-Yes," he manages to stutter, unable to think of anything else but the sensation of your skin against his. As you pull your hand away, Xiao finds himself quickly adding, "I-I'm only your good boy. Only yours, your grace."
You laugh, the sound echoing in Xiao's head. He prays that he'll hear it more often.

Chapter Two, A Harbinger
Sequel to The Moon Will Sing and Time Alone
Chapter One
Summary: Stories are told of Rex Lapis the God of Contracts and his darling the Goddess of the Moonlight, but what people do not know is the truth of what their relationship really is. People think at Rex Lapis’s death that his wife would be the first to weep, but what if she is the first to smile.
Tumblr media
You stood there in absolute shock for a moment, not even noticing the Millelith rushing in and taking in suspects who got to close. All you could do was stare at the body before you and wonder if you were really free after all this time. You could hear the voice of Lumine but could not process it until you felt the hand of the blond woman grab your own which made you flinch for a moment.
“We have to go, now.”
You could only nod as you almost mindlessly followed after the traveler. You two snuck around the guards, ducking behind the pathways, hiding behind pillars and plants, but you could barely process anything besides the blood roaring in your ears and the shake of your body. You were really free, you could leave, your contact was till death do us part and death did, you could leave.
You had managed to evade much of the Millelith, Lumine peaked around a corner to make sure no one was watching before she waved you and Paimon to follow. She just did not notice the leaf beneath her foot, with one step she alerted the entire Millelith. She grabbed your hand and pulled you behind her, running and even jumping down the stairs.
You could hear shouts of…
“They’re here!,” and, “Arrest them!”
That shot your mind back into reality very quickly, you were a suspect for the murder of your husband. As Lumine led you to turn the corner of the stairs, you only found more Millelith coming to meet the three of you and Millelith chasing you from the other direction of where you came, you were cornered. You could try and summon your own divine magic, but it would look far too suspicious without the use of a vision, if you got out of this you would have to see to the purchase of a fake one . Now you were only in a state of panic as Lumine drew her sword, but there was no way she could fight all of them off.
“Hey girlies-hold still.”
You saw it before you could process what the voice said. You saw arrows made out of water blast down on much of the Millelith before you, knocking the weapons out of their hands. Then jumping up from behind you, seemingly from the rooftops, a man, dressed in gray, red hair, blue eyes, and a strange mask on the side of his head. Upon landing on the ground he was able to cut through the remaining Millelith, quickly and accurately with blades made up of hydro energy, it seemed only second nature to him. Before you could process anything of what just happened, the bodies of the Millelith were on the ground, but there were more coming.
“Come with me.” He said, gesturing his head, and you and Lumine did not think twice before running after him.
—————————
You stood nearby while Lumine and Paimon caught their breath, but something you noticed is that the red haired man did not look exhausted in the slightest like you, but you were not mortal, so who was he?
“Paimon is exhausted.”
“Just what muscles does magical floating use exactly?” Lumine snapped back and you would have cracked a smile if it was not for your shocked state. Paimon was almost about to lose her head if it wasn't for you turning your attention to the man.
“And you are?” You questioned, trying to seem polite, but not joyful given what just happened.
“Call me Childe.” He answered, giving a polite semi bow to the three of you.
“Childe? What, so we’re supposed to dote on you?” This comment made him laugh and shake his head no.
“No, no, not at all. It’s an alias of sorts.” You watched as Childe shifted his attention to Lumine, which means he is probably here for her and not you which came as somewhat of a relief given that nowadays you were simply known as a housewife to a funeral parlor employee to the people of Liyue Harbor, your real identity remained unknown to them. “In Mondstadt, I don’t suppose you came across a “Signora” by any chance?”
Apparently this had some sort of implication that you did not understand, but clearly Lumine and Paimon did because not a moment later…
“You’re Fatui! One of the Harbingers!”
This statement from your floating friends snapped you right out of thoughts and made you go wide eyed and look up at him. By no means did you want to but you had the means of defending yourself if need be, but his response soothed that suspicion.
“Oh no. Don’t worry, I’m not looking for a fight. Signora gave you quite the bad impression, huh?” He tsked and rolled his eyes. “That woman… can’t say I’m a fan either. Right, let’s forget about her, shall we? I’m here to help you…” his eyes darted over to you for a moment, making direct eye contact. “…both of you.”
“Go. Leave.” Lumine snapped, clearly not wanting to deal with the Fatui and you could say you shared the sentiment.
“I don’t need help from the Fatui.” You said, turning up your nose and crossing your arms, trying to seem closed off. “I may not know what happened in Mondstadt, but I am quite fine on my own thank you very much.”
“I’m not a bad guy…” you raised an eyebrow to his statement, which made him pause for a moment. “Okay perhaps I’m kinda a bad guy, but I’m not here to give you any trouble. Would it be too much to ask for you to keep the sword sheathed?”
You watched as Lumine grew somewhat relaxed but not letting her guard down, so you shrugged. Might as well make sure Lumine is okay before you run off.
“I thank you for your knightly nobility, Lumine, and you ma’am for your willingness. I heard of your deeds in Mondstadt…” He then again glanced at you, a smile on his face as if nothing was wrong with what he was about to say, but he didn’t say anything to you, just looked back at Lumine. “So I couldn’t help but notice you during the proceedings back there and because I had my eye on you the whole time, I know it wasn’t either of you. Someone else was clearly behind this. Regrettably, given I’m a Fatui envoy from Snezhnaya… there’s no way I’d be trusted after something of this magnitude, the ruling Qixing of Liyue has always been overly suspicious of us.”
“Well can you honestly blame them?” Paimon said, scolding the harbinger which made you snicker along with the laughter from the harbinger.
“Guess I shouldn’t try to deny that. Okay, sure. Maintaining a distance between strangers is probably a good idea. Either way, I’m already used to it at this stage.” He glanced around before looking back at you, clearly wanting to wrap up this part of the conversation. “But right now, if you want to clear yourselves of any suspicion- you need to get yourselves to Northland Bank. Staying here isn’t an option. As the old Liyue saying goes, the walls have ears.”
Lumine glanced at you for reassurance and you could only give a mere nervous shrug. “That is actually true, I’ll see to it that you’re okay, but I can make no promises beyond that.”
You two followed the harbinger up through the buildings of Liyue, including your own home, which was locked now and all the lights were off which made you sigh. When you reached the bank, it looked like any ordinary business in Liyue, minus the Fatui agent outside, standing guard. You heard Childe and Lumine converse in the background while you stared over the city, it was all but a panic. The death of your husband and captor had all shook the city to its core, much like an earthquake. You sighed and wondered what was to become of this nation now in Rex Lapis’ death? We’re the Qixing to take over? Or perhaps the Adepti?
“This is a…”
And speaking of Adepti, out of the corner of your eye you spotted Childe handing Lumine a slip of paper and you nearly gasped.
“Where did you get that?” You demanded, cutting Paimon off, which made Lumine raise an eyebrow before looking between you and the harbinger.
“What is it?”
“All I know is that it is a sigil. A sigil to keep the “mighty and illuminated Adepti” from bringing harm to you.”
“Adepti?” Paimon questioned, also looking terribly confused like Lumine.
“If you head north from the harbor, then west from Guili Plains, you will eventually reach a stone forest known as Jueyun Karst. The people of Liyue believe it to be the abode of the Adepti.”
At Childe’s explanation you heard and saw Lumine sigh and roll her eyes. “Isn’t it just a legend?”
“I assure you it’s not, the Adepti are very real, and trust me, no one ever goes in if they value their life.” You say, interrupting the harbinger before he can speak. You know the Adepti all too well, Moon Carver, Mountain Shaper, Cloud Retainer, you even had the odd encounter with the Conqueror of Demons from time to time. You could only imagine what their reaction would be to the death of the Prime Adepti. “I could only imagine what anger they’ll be in at the death of Liyue’s Archon.”
“I hate to admit it, but thanks to Mrs. (Name) your Fatui intel seems alright.” Paimon replied, glancing over at you for a moment to make sure you weren’t going to say anything else. “But. Why would we go looking for the Adepti anyway?”
“Because the Adepti would clear you of any suspicion.” Once again you answered before Childe could and he nodded.
“Once again, she is right. Liyue was founded by the Geo Archon and the Adepti- of course, it was built by force.” Childe’s explanation made you think. Did you really have a hand in building Liyue, or were those just the stories told as you sat at your husband's feet? You were not an Adepti but surely as a goddess of Liyue you must matter to its formation in some way besides being a pretty little songbird to sit by its Archon’s side. “Look for them. And be faster than the Qixing’s messengers, so you may give your version of the events first. If there is anyone who can help you now, it can only be the mighty and illuminated Adepti. If that fails, there is one last source we can turn to, the wife of Rex Lapis if she is still alive.”
Oh dear…
“Rex Lapis has a wife?” Paimon asked, turning between you and Childe. You both nodded but let the harbinger explain thing one, out of fear of over sharing and exposing yourself to the group in front of you, after your newly acquired freedom.
“He does, the goddess of Moonlight and Rain. There are many stories of their love, but from what I understand she is a gentle and loving goddess. If Rex Lapis is the father of Liyue, looking over it and protecting it, then his wife is the mother, nurturing and caring for her children.” Childe laughed a bit and gave a bit of a shrug. “Despite her name being practically unknown, the people hold her in the same amount of reverence as Rex Lapis despite her being far more weak than her husband.”
“I wouldn’t say all that about her, Liyue hasn’t even seen her in hundreds of years.” You said, turning away from them, going to look over the city of Liyue Harbor. Childe was right, Liyue did see you as their mother, your gentleness, your compassion, your tenderness. But these traits made you prone to your husband, you were forced into this position, you were weak. “I’m sure at this point she is nothing but a bedtime story.”
“I wouldn’t be so sure, I think she matters much more to Liyue than you think.” You hear the harbinger speak as you lean over the railing, your eyes never once leaving the figures in the streets. “Perhaps more of the truth shall be revealed here in the next few days.”
“Perhaps… Perhaps…” You sighed and turned around to face the three before you. “As opposed as I am to it, you will need a guide to Jueyun Karst. Lucky enough for you I know the way.”
“You’ve been before?!” Paimon gasped and you nodded. “But didn’t you tell us no one should go? Why would you go?”
“Don’t worry about that right now, finding the Goddess that is Rex Lapis’s wife is next to impossible so the Adepti are your only hope.” You sighed and looked off to the streets of Liyue Harbor one last time. None of them know where you are, nor what has happened to you over the last few thousand years, and perhaps ignorance is bliss. Despite the mortals not knowing, the Adepti did and nor did they mind which made you shiver. “But I would be lying if meeting the Adepti did not shake me to my core.”

I haven't posted for a month lol ๋࣭ ⭑ Yandere! Morax and his love. Summary:Yao-Yao leads about Y/N in a story book and asks her mentor more about the lady, she would be fascinated in so. But Cloud retainer would not tell a tale so disturbing for a kid.
Short. All my post are short

˗ˏˋ ★ ˎˊ˗ Warnings Kissing without consent Yandere themes ! I do not condone to this irl ! ๋࣭ ⭑
“You seem to know Y/N alot cloud retainer!”
“You're mistaken child. She, was the closest to Morax one simply mangled in their story.”
“Story?“ The beaming child Yao-Yao chirped, her eyes shining like diamonds.
“Surprising really.”
“Y/N fits every aspect of talent, looks, and personally. That was what made who Rex lapis is today. They often soured the skies, sit by the shores of Yaoguang Shoal or enjoy the sight of Jueyun Karst. She was his pride and joy, One cannot simply think of any possibility on how he will survive without his love.”
He would've let himself eroded. Morax would've set himself on stone and went insane centuries ago. Weren't it for their saviour. No matter how much Cloud retainer covers your markings or sometimes ignoring them completely, The bird does find ways in excusing your marks from the other adeptis, not anymore since you and Morax are already one. She doesn't have to fear that you go insane? Not that you weren't on his care.
Morax gladly agreed to be sealed to a domain, that you also with be. You were already immortal thanks to his 'gift' surely you won't mind spending eternity with the man you love.
(Your perspective)
Loving the gold he frequently gifts you, necklaces, bracelets, matching rings all jewels you could lay your eyes on. It would be at your door next morning.
You remember the gold chains that was in your door step with a letter with his initial in it.
The last morning you will ever see the (Real)sun rise. After being knocked out for God knows how long, you found yourself laying in land filled grass with glaze lilies, the Sun was shining down on you a strange phenomenon which was one in a million day in teyvat. There also laying in the grass was him. With your hands bound together by the same chains he sent. Noticing you awoke, he moved over your side and on top of you, tapping the chains
“Haven't I told you, that one day I would be turning my fantasy to reality? Now we're bound for eternity!” Morax chuckled in a sick and wicked way that you felt a knot building in your lower area.
His rough and gentle hands caught yours greedily bringing it up his cheeks so you could feel how incredibly cold it was. Almost in humane. His other hand scoping a handful or your locks playing with it.
Well, you know now how easily he gets sour when he groped your hands that tangled with his. His face coming closer and whisper in your ear
“Aren't you happy dear? Now that you're mine...” He forcefully grips your cheeks turning them bright red in the process, bringing his lips close to yours before kissing you passionately
Gold rusts anyway.

Congrats on 800 followers!!!
Ever since I learned about SAGAU, I have been nervous to play music (idk why though??) But I listen to people like Cupcakke and Ayesha and now I'm wondering what the acolytes' reactions would be to the creator playing weird music ^^
🌸Thank you, thank you!🌸
Ahh, I do enjoy myself some good Cupcakke and Ayesha. I got both of em on my playlist, haha! I listen to some pretty out there music as well, if hyper-pop counts as weird. Who knows~ Anyway somehow this became Consort!Diluc and I apologize, my brain went running with this ask and it became.. this.
Warnings: Sexual Content. Cult and Self Aware AU. Somewhat Yandere.
Contents: This could be considered a crackpost at some points. Includes the song squidwards nose / commentary from because I bop to it, aight? . There is mention of "holy dildo." Forgive me i thought it was funny. Diluc is completely devoted to you(he wants to be your consort) and is suddenly worried about his dick size. Not beta read we die like rex-lapis.
Anyway!
I imagine it would be a normal day like any other in Mondstadt. The city is bustling, Flora giving people cute little flower crowns to promote her flower shop, bards singing about various topics and styles, Knights of Favonius helping people find lost cats, etc etc.
In the middle of the town square, stands your current puppets (thats what I call the"vessles" in my au) , in this case the traveller. I imagine depending on the emotional connection/friendship level you have to each of your puppets, people can sometimes hear you through them. Like a walking speaker or smth.
Since the twins don't got a friendship level, its just the equivalent of maxed out. They're crafting up some condensed resin for you, since you were AFK and they knew you were going to do so anyway. They were doing their best to ignore the loud music that they are emitting whilst doing so, Timaeus and others looking at them with wide eyes.
It isn't often your non-puppets hear obvious signs of the creator themselves, ya know! Literally everyone likes listening to you, whether it's Lofi music, rock, pop, or your voice itself!
Whenever they hear your voice from one of your more connected puppets, everyone is just filled with bubbles of happiness and excitement. Like! yay! I am directly in the High Gods presence! Sorta! Not really but its stilly exciting!
This time though, its a bit more of a "Ayo what the fuck?" sort of feeling instead of the usual.
Loudly blaring from their beings, was Cupcakke, and the iconic song "Squidward Nose".
Jean? Red faced, making sure no children are in the area, hands covering her face as she does her best, and fails, to think on who "dora the explorer" is, instead thinking about her god wanting a dick apparently as large as "squidwards nose". She has the church and the sisters notate this in a book. Might be some form of holy dildo or something, who knows.
Lisa is laughing her ass off the entire time, patting her on the back as she helps annotate notable things in the song with a few of the sisters from the Cathedral. Gotta keep their holy bible updated, afterall. She is tempted to write a new thesis for the scholars at Sumeru just for kicks and giggles about how their High God could potentially be more human than formerly assumed. She has a great new evidence, after all~ then again, the scholars at Sumeru are batshit crazy, so many not.
Venti is right at the travellers side, committing the song to his memory the best he can. Definitely getting in the way of them actually crafting the Resin, much to the twin's annoyance. He is always at whoevers side when you are playing any type of music, the music is completely new to him after all. You can bet he will be doing his best to sing the song at any late night tavern performances, even if he isn't getting all the references outside the obvious sexual stuff. Its an instant hit at Angels share, not just because Venti is singing it, but because the High God apparently likes the song as well. Also because its a great song.
Speaking of Angels Share, Diluc's face, is obviously, also as red as tomato when he hears Venti reciting the song later. He enjoys very much being a puppet, and he is definitely incredibly devoted to the High God. (aka you). He has to be devoted if he wants to fully commit himself to you, and possibly be your consort if you come down to Teyvat one day! This entire situation is completely uncouth, much to his dismay. He thinks its ruining your image before he realizes it is simply expanding it. Also, he is very upset. He is packing down there, definitely. But now he is self conscious because what if squidwards nose is better? He should honestly really kick out Venti, even is he is an Archon. Its getting in the way of his business.
Kaeya and Rosaria know about Diluc's somewhat obsessive worship and desire to be your consort, and they also know exactly why thats he is so red faced and upset and Venti's song. And because they absolutely enjoy it, they keep on giving Venti bottles of alcohol for encores of the song. And more, and more. Until Diluc has to excuse himself and leave. They are laughing the entire fuckin time. They always enjoy listening to your music whenever its playing, and they definitely agree that you should play similar songs more often. Its incredibly amusing.
🌸
Anywho's, that was fun to write! I do not know why Diluc was on the mind, but to be honest, I simp for the man highkey soooo-
Hope that was all alright for you dear Anon, and I hope you have a good day!

YANDERE BAIZHU! YANDERE BAIZHU! YANDERE BAIZHU!
Tumblr media
GN reader.
Warnings: This is pretty morbid, induced illness, death, grief angst, horror, mentions of blood, Baizhu is full yandere, reader is clueless.
<̴̖̖̮̼̻͛̎̈̄3̸̙̞̺̎͊̊̓̀ <̴̖̖̮̼̻͛̎̈̄3̸̙̞̺̎͊̊̓̀ <̴̖̖̮̼̻͛̎̈̄3̸̙̞̺̎͊̊̓̀
In the late afternoon sun, the gentle petals of the flower wither. It elicits a strange smell, lingering in the clinic between the bitter nodes of the herbs.
Sweet.
It had almost become a routine now, you dragging the kid in for her weekly medication and promising her sweets afterward. This time it was almond tofu.
You hunched over to talk to Little Meng again, and a faint scar peeked from under your shirt as it rode up.
But looking at you was never really easy. Baizhu peeled his eyes away from your skin. It was the cut that he had sewn up for you. He had felt a pit in his stomach when he had seen that wound, splitting open your skin like a red mouth.
You had come in grinning after you had an untimely face off with a geo-vishap. He remembered every wound he healed on your body. Every scar like the back of your hand.
"I was just collecting Core lapis." You had explained airily, fanning yourself.
“It will need ssstichess.” Changsheng stated.
“Qiqi…will…get…the…suturing…tools.” The zombie said before hurrying inside. Baizhu crouched down, lifting the hem of your shirt to inspect the wound better. The thin fabric clung to your skin from the sweat.
“You must be more careful,” he said. His voice sounded light, strained from the proximity. A feverish haze clouded his mind as he smelled your blood.
His fingers worked deftly, practiced strokes as he stitched up the wound.
"All done." He sighed, his tone noticeably somber. "Why did you have to go there alone?" He asked you,
You looked at him as if it was obvious. "My brother needed it," you explained through an adoring smile. You shook your head as you continued "he wouldn't shut up about it, plus you can sell them for a good price..."
You chatted on but Bazihu's face soured. You were too attached to that brat. Snotty-nosed and idiotic. Hung on you like an albatross around your neck. He took up all of your time, what's worse was that he demanded it. A weight you would better be rid of.
And when it wasn't your stupid brother, it was the entirety of Liueye.
You were always on your toes, skipping from place to place, a blur before him, like the wind that never stops blowing. Of course, he was a patient man, but even his resilience had limits.
"Even so," Baizhu replied, "You must learn to take better care of yourself," he said, he dropped the scissors and string in the bamboo-sewn basket beside him.
"Yes, doc." You replied sheepishly before hopping to your feet.
"Wait a minute now, I haven't given you any ointment-"
But you were already halfway out, "Sorry Baizhu I gotta run, I'll come by for some later I promise!" You replied, the departing smile craving into flesh.
Something in him stilled as he watched you run back.
"Does... this... go... in the... incinerator?" QiQi asked him. The doctor gritted his teeth, biting down on his cheek so hard he drew blood. His fingers dipped into the basket, pulling out the cloth soaked in your blood.
"Yes QiQi." He replied, dismissing the zombie. The child followed through at once, trotting away with the basket. Baizhu knew that this was the borderline. It was sick and psychotic. A line couldn't return from once he crossed it.
"What are you doing?" Changshen hissed as he brought it to his lips. But the desire was maddening. The metallic taste of your blood curled in his mouth. A part of you to keep to himself forever. His fingers curled around the cloth, droplets of blood sliding down his knuckles. Surprisingly his heart was perfectly still as he snaked his tongue out to taste it again. To taste you again.
"Oh Baizhu." Changsheng's voice hissed out.
At that moment the thought was as simple as it was sudden. He had to own you.
His amber eyes followed your figure as it walked back to the bustling crowd of the harbor.
And if he had to own you that deadweight of a brother had to go.
<̴̖̖̮̼̻͛̎̈̄3̸̙̞̺̎͊̊̓̀ <̴̖̖̮̼̻͛̎̈̄3̸̙̞̺̎͊̊̓̀ <̴̖̖̮̼̻͛̎̈̄3̸̙̞̺̎͊̊̓̀
He was taken by surprise when it actually worked. Being the most trusted doctor in the harbor, his ways weren't even questioned. Your brother's death was easily brushed past as a tragedy.
It had been perfect, everything he had dreamed of. You had sobbed silently, trembling as the rain poured down outside. He could tell you had run back to the village in the rain. Your clothes were completely drenched, but he didn’t mind at all. He had never felt so full before. The way you had curled into him in your moments of grief, burying your face in his chest.
He had held you regardless, ignoring how the poison was already causing the corpse to rot, flooding the room with a sap-like sweet smell. Ignoring how you were still soaked from the ice-cold rain and ignoring Director Hu's steely- skeptical gaze.
That moment was his epiphany. His fingers trailed down your arms, it was the moment he had waited for all this time. This is how he could have you. This was the only way you would ever need him.
Through grief and pain.
But it didn't last.
You had gotten better.
Healed they said. With everyday you learnt to live with the pain, you pulled further away from him. Your visits to the phramcy getting shorter.
Your pursuits taking you further and further away from liuye, further and further away from Him.
He couldn’t fucking let that happen. Not when he had come so close. Not now when he had gotten away with so much.
If he had to own you, he couldn't have you jumping around.
<̴̖̖̮̼̻͛̎̈̄3̸̙̞̺̎͊̊̓̀ <̴̖̖̮̼̻͛̎̈̄3̸̙̞̺̎͊̊̓̀ <̴̖̖̮̼̻͛̎̈̄3̸̙̞̺̎͊̊̓̀
"Why don't I get you a full dish of Almond tofu to celebrate later?" You said.
The child looked up at you with a tear-soaked face, "Y-You promise?" She choked out through her sobs.
"Of course!" you said, "You can even help me make it later."
"Okay." The child replied, shifting on her feet. "I'll have it."
Gui gave out a relieved sigh, " Then I shall prepare it right away." he said clapping his hands.
You gave him a weary smile, finally deciding to sit down on a chair near you. His eyes caught the faintest tremor in your legs as you did.
It won't kill you now. He would never do that. He just loves you so much, he wants you away from all the danger.
And watching you today he can tell it's working already. The small amounts he had given you wouldn't show the direct effects right away. It would happen over time, lazily, lulling you into a false sense of safety.
The faint flush on your cheek, the ragged out-of breath manner in which your chest heaved. Such a reaction from just walking up the stairs to the pharmacy.
The delight was almost too much for him.
"Everything all right?" He asked you, finally deciding to step in. You gave him an exhausted smile, "Yeah." you replied shakily, "Just a little tired."
He had made the poison with so much love, so much dedication. Crafted from changsheng's own venom and sweetened it with honeydew. He wondered if he would taste it on your lips. He would finally taste something else then, something other than the harsh bitter medicine he had to drink all his life.
He had known there would be no cure. Something made from changsheng's venom couldn't ever be negated. By no one else, and after a while even he wouldn't be able to stop it. You would have to live with it, to bear it's pain for the rest of your life, live every breath laboured. Yes it sounded harsh but that's what you had done to him, didn't you see?
Crippled him with the thought of you, day and night. This way you'd know what it felt like. This way you would need him. You'll need him to live. Always.
You shook your head, "I feel like I'm getting lightheaded more often." You said softly.
His fingers were clammy as they felt your forearm. “Remember the medicine takes it own time to show its full effects.” Baizhu replied,
“That aside, are set for the trip to Inazuma? I heard the Crux is leaving tomorrow morning.”
A darkness crept onto your features. Your shoulder’s slumped, a feign smile lacing your lips, “I- decided against it this time.” You replied.
“I see,” Baizhu said.
And if you didn't already, you'd learn to love him eventually.
"C-can i g-get almond tofu n-now?" Meng sobbed curling her small arm around your leg.
You gave her head a small pat, "of course."
Baizhu smiled as he handed you your poison, "Now don't forget your own medicine either." He reminded you, the vial was small, fitting in the palm of your hand. "He stayed up lasst night to make it," Changsheng added.
The gratitude in your eyes tightened his chest, "Thank you, doctor." You chimed back, "You do too much for me."
Baizhu smiled, behind him the violet of the flower looked hauntingly beautiful. The setting autumn sky making it glow like a yellow-eyed predator.
You'll need him forever.
"It's only my duty."
<̴̖̖̮̼̻͛̎̈̄3̸̙̞̺̎͊̊̓̀ <̴̖̖̮̼̻͛̎̈̄3̸̙̞̺̎͊̊̓̀ <̴̖̖̮̼̻͛̎̈̄3̸̙̞̺̎͊̊̓̀

well, personally if we're going to take into account my crippling lack of belief that i can be loved romantically, then to make it even i would say that they're all incredibly jealous husbands who would size up and at the very minimum would give a death glare to any men who manage to make me genuinely laugh.... but i suppose that would be too ooc for them 😔
henceforth are my answers as a barely decent writer:
𝔃𝓱𝓸𝓷𝓰𝓵𝓲 ᡣ𐭩 does not get jealous. why should he when we've become lovers in all the many lifetimes i've had? and if i ever stray off the right path, he's confident he knows the most efficient ways to pull me back into the right lane. in his dragon form, though, he gets jealous at the strangest thing. i've found chonkli hissing at the lizards roaming around the house, caught him wrestling with the rex lapis plushies that i cuddled the night before, and observed him getting sulky if i don't choose to wear any cor lapis accessories for a little too long, as if that in itself is some kind of capital offense.
ⲇⳑ ⲏⲇⳕτⲏⲇϻ ᡣ𐭩 does not get jealous. or maybe he knows how to hide it and 'cleans up' really well. if anything, he knows that i get awkwardly uncomfortable when people flirt or act too buddy-buddy with me, and he would always flawlessly pull me out of such situations within less than a minute. green. red. green. red. red. red.
𝔴𝔯𝔦𝔬𝔱𝔥𝔢𝔰𝔩𝔢𝔶 ᡣ𐭩 is more prone to jealously when i don't give him enough attention for too long. man channels his nonexistent siberian husky heritage and plays the awoooaoooaoaooaooo card (translation: "i will not shut up until you give me the attention i deserve pay attention to meeeeeeee")..... it's kinda cute, actually.

One thing I personally really love in yandere content is like captive wedding looks. The dress is so tight it stops you from being able to run away, or the bouquet is hiding the fact your hands are tied tightly together. There's a muzzle on your face - matching the rest of your outfit aesthetically, but so horribly efficient at keeping you silent and unable to protest the vows. Something about imagining yanderes using these kinds of things when getting you legally hitched to them is just sooooo tasty to me
ooh i haven't thought much about this but it is a VERY good concept. i'm a very big fan in yandere content of . . . being manipulated or blackmailed into doing things, and weddings are an exceedingly good way to show that - bartering with your own body, your own hand in marriage, or someone demanding that as the price for their help? looking for all the world as though this is a perfectly amiable union, but secretly you despise them?
and a bouquet to hide bound hands is SO good, oh my gosh. i'm also a fan of . . . hmm, a delicate necklace where the charm is a tiny lock; or being made to dress in colours that are associated with your yandere, or wear motifs that are theirs. especially for a wedding! zhongli giving you cor lapis jewels, a crown of windwheel asters in your hair for venti, diluc always choosing to have you in red when he can.
'too tight dress' - a corset, just as restrictive as the role you've been forced into. high heeled shoes if you're not used to walking in them; for it's so much harder to run. a delicate veil that only your yandere will lift for the kiss - because only they can briefly tug at your gag to press a kiss onto your mouth before smoothing it back into position, for nobody really needs to know.

Morax is a god. One of war and bloodshed. One who bathed himself in the crimson ichor of his enemies. Though he found no satisfaction in it, he never stopped himself from staining his hands red.
Rex Lapis is an Archon. The oldest of the seven, tired and apprehensive— the god of history and commerce. One who has lived throughout history and witnessed the deaths of his allies, never allowing himself the chance to properly process his emotions.
Zhongli is nothing but a mortal man, though thinly veiled in his former divinity. A shadow of his previous self, though he still shares a fraction of the power he used to hold.
All of it, rendered meaningless when he is in front of you.
Zhongli is a traditional man. He courts you with glaze lilies and qingxins; cor lapis and noctilucous jade shaped into delicate, intricate jewels. He enjoys the way you stumble over your words when he hands them to you.
You might try to reject them, seeing how clearly expensive they are, but Zhongli reassures you that no price is too high to please you. Any attempts to deny his gifts to you are met with swift refusal.
Zhongli loves it when you wear the things he gives you. It gives him a sense of pride, to see someone as lovely as you wear something he personally picked out. Zhongli is extremely observant, as well, and if he picks up that you dislike any of his gifts— even slightly— he's quick to cast the gift away and never make the same mistake again. The last thing he wants to do is leave you unhappy, either at him or something he did, whether it was his intention or not.
As attentive as he is, you would think he'd be more careful with his tongue. But Zhongli is old, and things are bound to slip. Maybe a remark about something he couldn't have known without you telling him, or something you did the other day when Zhongli wasn't with you.
He'll tell you it's because he has a good eye, that's all. He notices things others don't. He'll say that someone saw what you were doing that day, and they simply told him— no need to get yourself worked up. You believe him, if only because you desperately want that to be the truth.
It's a half-lie, on Zhongli's part. He would never disrespect you so much as to invade your personal privacy himself. However, having someone else do it isn't out of the question for him.
It's Xiao who watches you, though you'd never figure that out yourself. Zhongli has him report everything you do to him. He just can't bear the thought that something might happen to you— he has to know what you're doing all of the time, just in case.
He'll cater to your needs above his own. You may make a small comment about the way he dresses, and he'll take it to heart. If you mention that you'd like to see him dress more casually, that he doesn't need to be so formal all the time, then Zhongli will do so.
If you talk about the way he speaks, asking why he's so proper all the time, saying that he can relax around you— he will do so, even if you might've been the one who misunderstood that that was simply the way he spoke.
Zhongli puts you above all, even himself. If you ask him to kill someone for you, then he will do so. He will willingly kneel and worship you if you so desire.
Eventually, he will reveal himself to you. It was inevitable. You had your suspicions that Zhongli wasn't who he said he was— with the way he spoke about history as if he had been there to witness it, or how he always looked at you with a far-off look in his eyes as if he didn't really see you for you.
Him revealing he had someone stalking you for your 'protection' also left a bad taste in your mouth.
Though Zhongli would never admit it to you, he was worried about whether your view of him would be tainted in some way once he revealed himself to you. He wasn't worried so much that you'd think him lesser, but rather, that the person he'd fallen in love with would feel intimidated and scared in his presence; retreating into their shell whenever around him.
Zhongli is aware that his worries are a little silly, in the sense of why would he worry about what you thought? Had he still been Morax, maybe he wouldn't have cared at all what you felt. But he wasn't Morax anymore; now, he was Zhongli, a mortal man who worked as a consultant of the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor, and a man who was deeply, deeply in love with you.
Your thoughts are the most important to him. Anything you asked of him, he would do without a second thought.
You could convince him to become the Geo Archon again if you wanted. All it would take would be your soft touch and the fluttering of your eyelashes for him to become putty in your hands. He'd go to The Tsaritsa and break their contract himself, for you. Something he'd never do for anyone else; only for you.
It's common sense for him. Why would he deny you of anything, when you deserve everything?  Of course, Zhongli is blind to his own hypocrisy. He says he hates lying to you, but then doesn't tell you about his true identity for months. He tells you he's happy to finally have it all off his chest, but then doesn't tell you he's had someone following you around during the entire time you've been together.
