After a lookback on my posts since october 2013, I see that I'm interested by a lot of different things.
But I can bring out some things.
First, I shared a lot of websites or interactive projects. I think it's important today to communicate with the guest and have feedbacks. And more it's interesting that the content is modified by the behaviours of the visitor.
I shared animations too. Classic and digital animations. I like the fact that the images are not like statues, we can move them, say something better with movement. That's why I posted a lot of GIFs, these new very short animations with a loop.
For the content, I do not share something especially. Maybe about the sky, the air, the space. I shared two Airlines identities, videos and gifs about space. But I posted about music (music videos, sound apps...) and about the technology (Summer Wars, applications, games...). I spoke about my passion about football too but I don't think it's something I could use for my professional project. Icould maybe speak about the way to communicate (I shared videos, logos, datavisualisations)
I think I would work about the space, who we can communicate in the air or WITH the air, like the radiowaves. I could use interactivity and sound, create something modifiable.

Few days ago I presented to you a non-selected project for France 4.
Last friday the channel launched its new identity with its new programs, made by Gédéon. The channel want to talk with the digital natives. On the journey the programs are made for children, and after 6:30pm, the programs are for young adults (18-25).
So they used colorful tint areas and new systems. They know the digital natives use internet more than the TV, so they show the hashtags or the Twitter accounts of the creators in the jingles. They used a splitted screen to with images that look like GIFs.
To launch the new programs, they broadcasted a slow show called Tokyo Reversed. That was impressive. You can take a look at it, I will not describe it here. Just look.

I know I shareda lot of digital works. But here is a different animation.
Guillaume Blanchet created here a stop-motion just with pins and strings on a board. The animation called A Girl Named Elastika tells the story of a little girl travelling around the world.
It's amazing because of the contrast between the simplicity of the tools and the poetry of the story.

I was searching for things about the Big Bang, and I found this.
This is a project called Funky Planets made by Julie Flogeac and Louis Ansa. They had to make an interactive project in 48 hours. So they made this.
Funky Planets is a poetic project about the space. How do we represent the universe? How do the aliens look like? And their planets? The two students of Gobelins used a lyrical way to express the universe. We feel good, like in a cocoon.
And this feeling is amplified with the sound, in the website.

Air France is a name that makes us dream. We dream about planes, travels, french savoir-vivre.
The communication department and the BETC agency wanted, i think, to do this with their new campaign.
We discover women (Air France is a woman) in French stereotypes. The posters look like fashion posters, because France is THE country of fashion. There is a frame like in Marie-Claire, the pics are very elaborate, the color of the frames are various. The stereotypes and the French heritage are in too: the French flag, the gastronomy, Versailles, the French Cancan, Paris.
Well, we discover the French culture through this campaign, so through the airline.
Air France, France is in the air

The film is out in theaters for last week. Go watch it!

Something very weird. That was my feeling after viewing Wrong Cops.
First, I want to thank my girlfriend because she offered me a week end pass for the Deauville American film Festival for my birthday.
So, this is the story of a police squad in the USA. The cops are not like we used to know in series. Those cops are corrupt, do bad things and are very not interesting. We can say that Wrong Cops is the ordinary life of very ordinary cops.
Quentin Dupieux, a.k.a. Mr Oizo, films here his 5th movie, and they are all very strange. But what is interesting in his movies? I think this is the absurdity of his scenarios.
In Wrong Cops, there is a dying person, a gay pornstar cop and a music-lover cop. The music is everywhere in this movie, of course Mr Oizo’s songs.
A very weird movie, yes, but a movie we remember because of the ridiculousness.

It's about football (again!).
This sport, cut in actions, is very interesting if we want to have statistics. We can count everything, like the number of reception by a receiver or the number of touchdown thrown to this receiver by the quarterback under pression in the redzone in the fourth quarter (ok it's exaggerated but we can).
Here are some data visualisations about games and players. We can see for example the number of rushing yards, the red-zone efficiency, the number of sacks in a season, the touchdowns...
I like the fact it's not just numbers, there is a big work about the reading facilities. In the first look we understand that it's about football and we find what we are looking for.

Today I will talk about my other passion (with graphic design). This is football. Not the soccer, but the american football.
I play football since 2010 in the Léopards. I discover this sport thanks to a friend who invited me at a training. He read the manga "Eyeshield21" and played in the parc with classmates.
Today I am a 3rd-year player in the Junior team and also a captain of my team. It's the last year I play because of my studies, but I hope I will play again later, and I think I'll coach next year.
Of course I want to share my passion, and the videos or series I will introduce explain very good the game.
These videos are not what we expect about football: the NFL, the stars, the money, the girls, the glory or the injuries. It's about the young boys like me who play for passion and ambitions.
The first picture comes from First and 17, a webserie by the Washington Post. We discover a little high school team in Virginia, the Woodbridge Warriors. The documentary starts at the first day of training camp in August and stops after the end of the season with the recruit of the universities. We follow especially Da'Shawn Hand, a big young defensive end who is the #1 prospect in the US (the best high school player). We learn about the team, about the high school, about Da'Shawn and his family and about the coaches. It's simple and we discover how a young boy can resist medias and marks.
Look at the trailer here:
https://vimeo.com/71584388
and the first episode here:
http://www.washingtonpost.com/sf/firstand17/2013/08/30/episode-1-a-tough-start/
The second is a serie called Friday Night Lights. It's a drama television serie about the high school team of the fictive little Texan town Dillon: the Panthers. Created by Peter Berg, we follow during 5 seasons the coach Eric Taylor (Kyle Chandler) with his team. Of course there are football stars and losers, but we discover how football is important in Texas. All the town waits for friday night and its football team. We discover the religion, the tensions between communities, the high school, and of course the life of teenagers, with flirts and experiences.
Look at the trailer here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AG37AylK1_s
The third is closer of us, it's a webserie called In the Eye of the Hurricane about the Hurricanes of Montpellier. Created by Jordan Motyl (WZF Prod), the first season follows the Junior team until their French champions' title (I would have won this title). It's very interesting because we discover a football team in France where this sport is almost unknown. Of course this club wins and the local medias talk about it, but we see the means for this sport. The second season follow all the club with the junior team, but with the senior team and the formation center.
Look at the trailer here:
http://youtu.be/Giwy6Szo6l8
And the first episode here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TcwDjdWDOqU
And the fourth is a documentary called The Last Play realised by Alex Camara. It's a documentary about the junior team of the Mariners of Vannes. I think it's the documentary between the four that is the closer of me. It's about the 3rd-year players (like me) who play together since 4 years (like me). We follow their season until their defeat against Saint-Denis. I lived the joy after a big win, I lived the big road games with 8 hours in a bus, I lived the deception after an elimination. I lived the feeling that we are like a family on the sideline. But this year I will live the last season with the team, and the last play of the season (I hope it will be at the latest). Thanks to this documentary, I can imaginate how it will be.
Look at the trailer here:

And the YouTube edition documentary here:

Well, football is very important for me and I hope you will appreciate those videos and my article.
I love football.

Another website about music and interactivity. It looks like I'm attracted by it.
Here is a very experimental project made by Jono Brandel for the graphic design and the programmation and Lullatone for the songs.
Patatap is a web app which we create animations and sounds. Every letter is an animation and 5 sounds thanks to 5 ambiances.
It's very hard to compose a good animation or a good song, but we can experiment a lot of things. I love the fact it generates forms and sounds to create beautiful (or ugly) things.

"Dont worry be happy" sang Bobby McFerrin in 1988.
Today, Pharrell Williams sings Happy during 24 hours. No, he didn't record a 24-hours-long song, but almost.
We are from LA (they made it too) and Yoann Lemoine (aka Woodkid) produced this interactive music video.
Pharrell wanted to share his happiness all over the world and the internet. So they made a veeeeery long music video.
The music lasts 4 minutes. One day lasts 1440 minutes. 1440 / 4 = 360. So they shot 360 sequence-shots in Los Angeles (the city of Skateboard P) for the video. Pharrell Williams appears in 24 sequence-shots, and in the others we can find Odd Future, Magic Johnson, Jamie Foxx, Jimmie Kimmel or just anonymous.
It's interessant too that it's just not a music video, it's interactive. When we enter on the website, we discover the sequence-shot of our own hour. And if we want to discover other shots, we just have to browse the clock or use the arrows left and right. We can share a moment too, and see the shots with Pharrell easily.
It's very intuitive and we become happy after 5 minutes.
I think it will be the next type of music videos: not just videos, but interactivity with people because of the significiance of Internet today.

France 4 is a public french TV channel. Like every channel, it has to change its break-bumpers frequently to stay in the mood.
Here is a non-selected project by the Argentinian studio 2Veinte.
France 4 is a channel for entertainment and broadcast mainly fictions, music programs, sport, documentaries and culture programs. Its main color is purple.
So 2Veinte decided to use the geometric shades to reveal the diversity of its programmation. The colors are pastel because of the young target who feels good with these tones.
Well, this will not be the new design of the channel, but the new one will be reveal on march 31st, and I'm excited to discover it!

It's just a gif about coffee, but WOAW, it's incredible.
The picture is very simple, just a solid color in the background, a shadow and a cup seen above it. But the animation makes all! Look at the life created by the reflects of the coffee. It really seems real!

The sun shines in this advanced summer. I want to go to the beach, see my family, discover new places. But even if we are (almost) in summer we stay all year long on the internet, and especially on the social networks.
Summer Wars is an animated movie produced by Mamoru Hosoda in 2009.
Kenji is a young japanese student. He is mathematic-gifted and works during the summer in the maintenance service of OZ, the biggest social network on the earth. He is invited in Natsuki's family (his secret love) and has to play Natsuki's fiancé for her grandmother. Unfortunately OZ is attacked. Kenji and Natsuki's family are so launched in a real war to save the avatars and the world.
First, it's interesting because of the theme. Today we all almost are on social networks and the administrations use internet to work. Just because of a virus, all the country is in jeopardy.
Secondly, Hosoda found a good way to tell the difference between the virtual world OZ and the real one. OZ is representated in Superflat (I spoked about this here) with virtual animation, shades, 3D effects, weird avatars, a floating world and flashy colors. On the opposite, the real world is a traditional japanese anime, with black lines, pastel colors and traditional music.
Thirdly, I like the contrast between modernity and family traditions, and we can see that it's possible to use traditional ways to fix a very contempory problem.

I like to travel in airplanes (I already said that here) and I very like airlines with a good visual identity.
Air Inuit is a little airline based in Canada and deserves the fourteen little Inuit villages in the Nunavik's region. The Inuits depend on it to receive food and essential services.
To show how they love nature and wildlife, the studio FEED created a pattern inspired by M.C. Escher with white and red geese. It respects the arts and crafts of the Inuits too. To go along with the pattern, Jean-Baptiste Levée created a typography called Air Inuit Sans, a sans-serif font using the latin alphabet and the Inuktikut syllabics.

My classmates like to listen to Beyoncé. How many times do we have watched to Single Ladies when we had breaks?
Soundboardt (a pun with her catchphrase "Surfboardt") is a website created by Beyoncé's fans taking over the best catchphrases of her new eponym album. The site made in Flash uses the colors of the sleeve (black and pink) and its type, and illustrates the catchphrases with pictures taken in the music videos of the different songs.

I'm a graphic design student, and I learn to relay the emotions graphically. But sometimes I have to use the sound too, and it's difficult for me to find the good one.
Thanks to Emotions of Sound created by Amplifon, I now know which sound is the best for which emotion. And the best is I have to say myself what is my emotion listening to a sound.
Furthermore, the pictures used in the background are very communicative and help us to feel an emotion. The pictures are colorful and represent the inside body (foetus, heart) or landscapes.
Just discover the emotions!

A gif I found in Tumblr. According to its creator, becojo, it's a vision of a polar equation.
I made a scientific degree and of course studied maths. I didn't really like it, but I loved the way to represent the functions. With this gif, it goes very far! I'm a contented man.
