ACOSF Friendships

One of my very favourite (if not my favourite) storylines of this book is the introduction of Emerie and Gwyn. Not just because of the friendships they form with each other and Nesta, but because they give a wonderful balance to the series that I honestly didn’t realise was lacking until they were introduced. Having two wonderful, funny, kind, empathetic and all round amazing females in the narrative that aren't part of the original Inner Circle of the Night Court just adds so much more depth to the story. The fact that they become like sisters to Nesta and she finds her own inner circle and strength with those that have been through their own trauma is honestly just perfection. They all needed each other, they all benefit from each others company and friendship, they all make each each other stronger and happier by being friends. Fierce lady friendships are highly underrated, especially in many fantasy books where females are often written as being pitted against one another. Cassian and Nesta finally getting together in this book is wonderful, but for me, Nesta, Emerie and Gwyn’s love and friendship, and everything they go through together is so much more poignant and important to the story overall.

Points from todays live by Sarah about CC2, spoilers about ACOSF and future book info.

-Crescent City 2 hopefully out a year from now. She doesn't think there will be any possibility it will come out this year.

-200% more Tharion in CC2

-She knows without a doubt what the title is but won't be revealing it for awhile.

-Artist is working on the cover but it hasn't been finished, it is the same artist as Crescent City 1 cover.

-Next ACOTAR world book will be a whole book and not a novella

- She’s not interested in writing wedding/mating ceremonies because she feels people would think they’re too cheesy and lame. She does know how the ritual will happen because she actually wrote Feyre and Rhysands but it was cut from the book. She will take into consideration about adding them in any future books but no promises.

-She hasn’t started writing the next book but she’s very excited and the story is already forming in her head. She’s not allowed to say whose story it is but she feels it’s very obvious based on ACOSF who it will be.

-Joking that for the 10 year anniversary of ACOSF she will release an uncut version with all of the spicy scenes including the threesome.

-She felt the threesome she originally wrote complicated the story between characters too much.

-The red star was definitely Aelin, Rhys actually sees Aelin and helps her but only told the others it was a red star. He helped her out of instinct because it happened so fast. She originally wrote the scene but it was cut from the book.

- Josh hasn’t read ACOSF yet. He was laughing saying he doesn’t mind reading the sex scenes because they sound familiar to him lol!

-She’s known for years the baby was going to be called Nyx. She already has planned the genders (and how many there will be) of future offspring of the main characters.

-She’s going to have a lot of fun writing more scenes that involve the House.

-Joking that the House now needs a mate too lol!

-We have definitely met Elains love interest over the course of the previous 5 books, but she won’t say anymore.

-Bryce and Hunt will be very satisfied in CC2

Talked about Eris, he’s her favourite from the autumn court and is in a decent amount of the book but won’t say anything else.

A good amount of Azriel, in the book more than Eris

Azriel has a lot of his own stuff going on in the book, SJM is obsessed with Az and thinks of the song Mr brightside every time she thinks of him and she doesn’t know why.

Nesta and Az start to understand each other a bit more, and Az treats Nesta like a regular person and there’s a lot of mutual respect and understanding between them. She can’t decide if Crescent City 2 or A Court of Silver Flames is steamier, at a hard press as of right now ACOSF, but she’s still editing CC2 so she’s not sure which one will be steamier when both are released.

Tharion has a dirty mouth and uses it in CC2

We definitely find out what was Nestas Christmas gift from Cassian was that was thrown in the river in Frost and Starlight.

It was something he thought she would really love and was very precious.

She reconfirms Aelin fell through Crescent City but won’t say if they will have any other crossovers in future books.

Helion will definitely be making an appearance and we may see a little of the other High Lords.

Lucian makes several appearances

Sarah is really proud of Nestas personal growth in this book, and she’s more proud of Nestas growth than any other character she’s written.

Nesta finds her own version of happy ever after but we as the readers will suffer before getting to it.

Can we talk for a bit about this sweet moment where Abraxos kept Elide safe and warm so she could sleep. Meant to be a tough as nails (with literally iron teeth and tail spikes) Wyvern, and yet he wanted to calm Elide, helped her sleep. He also loves sniffing flowers, sunshine and free falling off towers like he’s dead just because it’s funny. 😂 My sweet boy Abraxos. ❤️
