At the beginning of 2020, I suddenly found myself in very new and strange circumstances — on the verge of an anticipated pandemic, global apprehension, and discussions about isolation and social distancing.
During that time, I made this illustration out of the need to come up with some form of a safe and comfortable mental space for myself, while putting together a few things that bring me joy into one image.
The first thing that came into my mind was a setting consisting of a slightly SF retro-futuristic living room, where the forever-burning fire inside contrasts with fierce winter winds outside. A round of the space, mid-century furniture, the coziness of the fire place and tall, exotic plants — all of them together inviting you. to step inside, lie on the couch and take a nap with your favourite furry friend. After finishing the final illustration, I added an experimental layer to it by playing around with frame by frame animation.
Fast-forward to three years later, I was approached by the team at Goodfit for a collaboration. They resonated with the illustration and proposed transforming it into a custom 500-piece puzzle. We then renamed it Homebody, to tone with the intended feeling of the original illustration.
"At just 500 pieces, the difficulty level for this puzzle is ‘Casual’, with easy to sort sections and an image that comes together naturally. Brew up a cup of tea and put on your fuzzy socks - Homebody is your ideal companion for a perfect night in."

I was encouraged to explore the intersection between some of the topics that heavily influence my work: characters, architecture, fashion, and futurism.
Illustration for the Poster x Poem group show that happened this summer in Timisoara / Romania.
The event aims to match local poets and writers with visual artists, by depicting poems through a series of illustrated posters. This one is my interpretation of a short poem by Alexandra Bodnaru.

I had the opportunity to collaborate with the amazing team of Golden Wolf for a fun Noom animated spot. The video features testimonials from real customers, rendered through warm, fluid, metaphorical animations.
My contribution to this consists of character design, main keyframes, and playing around with outfit variations.
I was invited to create an illustration that celebrates women in gaming and their achievements in the industry, as part of Women's History Month 2021. The image was used for a limited edition controller box and is also available as a free wallpaper on X Box in any device format.
Illustration commissioned by Sun Plaza Mall in Bucharest, for their 10th anniversary. The image is based on a text about imagining the world in the future where the digitalization of fashion and using recyclable materials and futuristic technologies become mainstream.
For the Getting Along column, which addreses topics like taking care of yourself, setting boundaries, and having difficult conversations, for people who struggle with all three.
