How's Behemoth? (I'm a fellow Rippers player and we are getting the fan-hitting phase of our campaign).
In the infinite limbo of a campaign on hiatus, I'm afraid! Or maybe more accurately "finished campaign with an open ending *just in case*".
They did get cured of their lycanthropy before the next full moon though! In a properly dramatic last chance after the cure we were planning on and working towards got swept out from under us. Everything got a tad rushed at the end because the GM was very tired of GMing and trying to wrap up. It was always meant to be a short thing and I only realized after the fact that it went on for like 6 months. He's much better/more comfortable as a short burst G/DM when our regular long form DM needs a break.
I think the shortest explanation for the cure is: "friendly" (Ripper-aligned) vampire all-but-drained Behemoth of all their tainted blood, and then donated a chunk of their bloodpack supply to revitalize them. Basically a full body transfusion. It was a good scene!
This was essentially a payment up front for dealing with the Big Bad for the vampire family and then leaving Venice for them to continue to "peacefully" rule/watch over. We then went to kill said Big Bad and succeeded, but one of our party got time-displaced. But that was the end of the campaign, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Just wanted to say you were one of the first artists that I had ever seen online (I am talking pokemon forums in like 2012) and to this day you have inspired me endlessly. I taught myself to draw using the Very Old Madotsuki tutorial you posted on deviantart & now I've been a full-time illustrator for about a year! Thank you so much for putting your art out there all these years!!! I can't thank you enough for just existing and creating your beautiful work. tytytyty!!!
oh... my god???
That is just. incredible to hear. Congrats on being an illustrator!
I am like. honestly speechless. Thank you, so much. I really cannot properly convey how meaningful this is to hear. Like. I can think of Ye Olde internet artists that did that for me, and hearing I've done that for someone else out there is beyond surreal. It's so reassuring - I don't need to have thousands of followers to make an impact. 😭 And you've followed me around different websites over years and through long breaks between posting??
holy SHIT the Madotsuki tutorial, I never would have remembered that thing in a million years if it was never mentioned again. That IS ancient.
Man. MAN. I really needed this, you have no idea. I've alluded a bit in the last couple posts and I won't get into it but yeah, been in a looong stretch of bad. Actual tangible life stuff but the prolonging is so much due to Bad Brain. I never, NEVER would have imagined someone thanking me just for existing. GOD.
I am going to treasure this ask forever. Print it out and put it on my wall for motivation. 😭 This is my Do It For Her!!

My love for Wind Waker managed to pull me out of a long and deep depression pit long enough to do this. Started playing the HD version and its just so pretty, I finally actually wanted to draw something. So here's my OC Wish in WW style!

Last couple months have been really bad! That's why I disappeared. I'm sorry but also like, had much more important things to focus on.
But here's a year in review of art. One piece per month. Some were really hard to choose! I was really prolific this year, honestly feel quite good about it. The Bad Things have maybe hopefully finally calmed down so I may be able to return to doing art stuff for myself in the new year.

One of few old pieces that still gets some attention on the original posts, so why not bring it to the forefront again.

No worries, I wasn't offended! I was just kind of baffled lol. Furries are cool and nice, I just feel like I'm really bad at animal faces in particular so it just. made so little sense to me XD
But no harm done, do not stress, friend <3

A small series of "Flower Language" (and leaves) portraits for some gems. I definitely did research (though couldn't tell you the sources anymore) and picked stuff out for all the major characters but only finished these three. Actually I found the notes doc I made, helpfully with reference pictures, so I can tell you what each of these ones are and what they mean! Under the cut.
Amethyst
Clematis (large light purple flowers) - Artifice/Trickery
Larch (pink and berry-looking) - Audacity
Sloe (blue berries) - Difficulty
London Pride (white with pink spots and middle) - Frivolity
Jewelweed (purple heart-shaped flowers) - Impatience
Coriander (background foliage, small ruffled leaves) - Hidden Worth
Peridot
Hollyhock (white, sort of trumpet shaped flowers) - Ambition
Euphorbia (small yellow flowers in clusters of three) - Persistence
Rose, yellow (...I think you know what a rose looks like.) - Jealousy
Clotbur (large three-pointed leaves) - Rudeness
Lapis Lazuli
Mourning Bride (large bunches of tiny white flowers) - "I have lost all"
Anemone (white star shaped flowers with deep blue middle) - Forsaken
Columbine, blue (Small white flower with long periwinkle outer petals) - Desertion
Jacob's Ladder (small purple flowers with long stamens) - "Come down"
Aloe vera (long thin spiked leaves) - Grief
Oak Leaves (wiggly? hopefully recognizable lol) - Bravery
I remember looking at a lot of different sources to get the kinds of meanings I was looking for. Not the usual stuff for bouquets that all mean varying levels of love and friendship and whatnot. So some of these could be kind of made up! You can never trust the internet. But I tried.

I think of these as "chibi" even if they're... mostly not. Really just simplified? Closer to the show's style than my usual, at least.
Also as an aside, I remember these started with Peridot - but without her enhancers. And was done one evening where my tablet's pressure sensitivity wasn't working, hence the frustration. (I redid it later to be the one above) Then, idk, I liked the little style and just did a whole ton. Here, have the wobbly one too.

uhhh
sorry to tell you this, but animals and furries are explicitly a weak point of mine. Definitely did not start off doing furry art.

These mostly kinda make me laugh now lol. There's plenty of problems (with the feet and shading especially) but like. I'm surprised by how much effort I put in, honestly. 2015 was a different time.

How about MORE STEVEN UNIVERSE
I wanna say this was done before it was clear Amethyst wasn't there for the war proper... but also Ruby and Sapphire are there so maybe I just willfully missed that detail lol, I don't remember exactly.

a rare fan art, cause like. errybody was drawing fem Gerudo Link. Theres some wonkiness here but I still mostly like it. Was a fairly early attempt at bounced light, too.
