Today's story is about a woman who was detained by the occupiers in the spring of 2022 and illegally sentenced to almost 7 years in prison. Iryna Danylovych is a nurse and citizen journalist.

She was threatened, blackmailed and forced to confess to things she did not do. Now Irina is in a Russian colony, her health is deteriorating due to the lack of quality and timely medical care.

Iryna Danylovych worked as a nurse at the Malachite rehabilitation center in Koktebel, maintained a social media page and several blog columns on the rights of healthcare workers and healthcare issues in the occupied Crimea.

The occupation forces abducted Iryna Danylovych in April 2022. She was returning from a night shift at the hospital when the occupiers searched her house and seized all her appliances, several books and documents.

There was no contact with Irina for more than a week. She was illegally detained by the FSB: she was subjected to psychological pressure, beaten, threatened with death, interrogated on a polygraph, threatened to be "taken to the forest" (ed. - meaning killed and buried in the forest) or "to Mariupol" (once again, killed), fed once a day, and not allowed to go to the restroom.

Eventually, the occupiers informed her relatives that a decision had been made to place her under "administrative arrest", allegedly because "she had transferred unclassified materials to another country". Later, they fabricated a "case" against Irina accusing her of "illegal actions with explosives."

The "proof" was the "discovery" of 200 grams of explosives in Irina's bag. And only on May 11, the lawyer managed to establish that she was in the occupation pre-trial detention center in Simferopol.

The "arrest warrant" was issued by the occupation "court" during a closed court session - without the participation of listeners, journalists, or Irina's relatives.

But the real reason for the detention is different. For covering the problems of the healthcare system, the crimes of the occupiers, as well as for protecting and promoting the rights of healthcare workers in the occupied Crimea.

Iryna was one of the first correspondents of the Crimean Process; she supported Crimean Tatar activists in the "courts"; prepared materials for the editorial office of Inzhyr Media; supported medical activists, recorded violations of rights under occupation.

According to Irina, she was kidnapped, taken to Simferopol and illegally detained in a basement, tortured and starved, and forced to sign a confession under threat of death, having been viciously planted with explosives after the "confession" had been forcibly extracted.

Complete hearing loss in the left ear, deprivation of necessary medications, suffering from headaches and earaches. This is what Iryna is going through now.

Irina was transferred to the Krasnodar Women's Correctional Colony No. 7 in Zelenokumsk. Every day, Irina's health condition deteriorated: in the occupation prisons, she gradually lost hearing in her left ear, developed otitis media, constant headaches and dizziness.

Back in July 2022, the political prisoner reported being beaten by an FSB convoy and psychological pressure exerted on her by Russian security forces. The occupiers also took away the opportunity to read, not returning the collection of poems.

To get medical help, she went on a hunger strike, but stopped it after 10 days, believing the promises of the SIZO administration, but no one has treated her and is not going to, watching the prisoner's health deteriorate.

According to her father, the colony allocates 90 minutes for the distribution of medicines twice a week: on Tuesday and Thursday. During this time, only 20-30 people out of a queue of several hundred prisoners manage to receive them.

"There are periodic fights among the patients for the opportunity to be in the front of the line and receive medicines. Iryna does not participate in this and has been deprived of access to the medicines prescribed by doctors, which we regularly send in parcels, for several months now," her father said.

Despite the illegal actions, torture and pressure, the occupiers failed to break the Ukrainian journalist, she continues to support Ukraine and believe that she will soon return home. "Only in such a strong Ukraine could such a strong you be born," said Iryna's father Bronislav.

Even behind bars, Iryna Danylovych continues to resist the occupiers and support Ukraine. The song "I am free!" performed by her is a symbol of disobedience and struggle, which the occupiers do not like, and the tattoo on her body that reads "Freedom is our religion" is her life's credo.

"Why were you starring at me?" you asked and he was like "oh nothing" but connie who is beside him shouted "He thinks you are so pretty y/n!" Eren be like ready to kill him.

You sat beside him on the cart to going another village. You were just enjoying the scenaries and when you turned your head around you caught Armin starring at you. And he got super embarassed and finally said "You are so cute that I can't avoid to look"

Jean

It was at rainy night and you guys were at tough situation. Trapped in the mission surrounded by titans and trying to figure out how to escape. You were embarassed coz the teammates are also being like 'oooh' and then jean got back into his scene again and yell to the teammates to focus on the mission where you just laughed at it coz he is so cute being embarassed.

Levi

He was finally relaxing with his tea and you were training your sword. He stares at you from his window as you looks really hot. You whiped your sweat from you forhead and looked up. You caught Levi starring at you and gave teaseful smirk at him. He was pretending not seeing anything but inside he is screaming.

Reiner

It was a free day and you were going out with your friends to the festival. Yes! Your in Marley. You and Reiner were voted to go buy icecream in the crowded line. You sighed and queue in the line. You were complaning about it and someone pushed you from behind as it was so tight in line. You happened to be like hugged Reiner wasit and caught him starring at you already. You were shocked and tried to moved aside but he held you tight and smirked. "Hold on me because you will get hurt if they pushed you more" Such a caring guy!

Zeke

You were talking about how tiring your day was and Zeke didn't reply so you looked at him and caught him starring at you and zooming out in his thought. You yelled "Zeke! Are you even listening?!" And he was like super embarassed and told like "Yeah I am" And you asked him "Then what was I telling?" He can't answer and you were about to shout as he kissed you. "Don't talk. You are so pretty today"

Porco

You both were given to write down the reports after the mission. Other warriors left as they have finished and only you and porco left. You were in rush as you wanted to finish it quick and you felt uncomfortable all of a sudden and looked at Porco who was starring at you. He was caught and looked away quick and continued writing his. After you both done and turning in the papers you teased him "Do I look really good?" And he was like "Pray for it" and rolled his eyes and walked forward. You yelled as you ran to catch up with him "Yahh Porco! You were starring at me!" And he lied "When did I?"

so... a musing on the five couples i said i'd play this ask game with - and then, for additional fun, some i didn't - on a crucial question:

bellamort: lord voldemort was definitely not traumatised by the second world war and it's ridiculous to suggest otherwise. they're seeing oppenheimer, and bella only has to hold his hand for about half of it.

snack: they were going to go and see oppenheimer but they had an argument which culminated in them fucking over the kitchen table and missed the showing.

Kimetsu no Yaiba Stage Play Act 4: Entertainment District Infiltration report

10 December 2023, 18:00 show, Tokyo Dome City Hall

Went on a getaway to Japan right after internship ended and watched kny stage play bcus it’s my current fixation (especially Tengen 😭)

The report will mostly be comments on the actors’ singing and acting because I assume everyone has watched entertainment district arc but I’ll just write whatever is fitting with the event

Report with pictures of what I could get (not much) under cut

1. Arrived at Tokyo Dome City Hall from Roppongi after lunch with friend and went to the Tokyo Revengers Last Line exhibition at Roppongi Mori Tower around 4:30 pm bcus the show I bought starts at 6 pm and queue opens at 5. I arrived early to exchange my online ticket with a physical one (this is required and was mentioned early in the website upon purchasing the ticket)

2. Lined up and redeemed my ticket. Went inside to find my area seat written in the ticket (balcony 1, row 7, seat 79) and at this point I was conflicted if I should buy merch first or just wait until the end 😭😭😭😭😭 I‘ve never been to this place before so I went to look for my seat first. They don’t let you in until 15 minutes before show starts so we had to wait at the lobby

3. While waiting for the show to start, I gave out my muscle mice stickers that I just cut and wrote a small message at the back last night to the people that sat beside me. A seat to my left were two lovely couple from Canada. They reached out to me on Instagram a couple of days after the show 💕 and a seat to my right were two friends that went to see the show together. They were lovely as well 💜 I’m so happy that people seem to like the stickers

4. Before the show starts, they let us take pictures but not videos of the stage. It’s super pretty!!!

I love that they decided the ensembles to come out, walk around and interact with each other. Like a real entertainment district

5. The show starts with an opening number from all of the casts. The story starts from when Tengen captured Aoi and another butterfly mansion helper to help him with his mission. That scene was showed through a screen. THEN BAM TENGEN MY BELOVED?!!!??! he’s so… he really is flashy in real life I fr couldn’t take my eyes off him 😭😭😭😭 OK SEE u know Tengen’s headband right? When the spotlight hits, it shines and dazzles a lot I’m so. IDK LIKE IM SPEECHLESS I GUESS never thought it would look that way (ITS PRETY) he also runs with his arms behind he’s so cute 😭💙 stage play Tengen ponytail is longer than manga/anime and that made him look cute too… (u can tell that I just looked at him whenever he’s on stage HAHAAH)

6. Sending off the Kamaboko team to work! Tengen in his yukata… pretty… the wig he wore for both uniform and yukata is really soft??? Like when he runs, his hair bounces ☁️ anyway, Kamaboko team so funny I love them sm 😭🫶 everyone clapped to Zenitsu shamisen rush play! That was fun hehe

7. Muzan comes in to see Daki. The song that the actor sang was pretty catchy and his voice is sooooo so GOOD!!!!!! Genuinely speechless. The scene where okami confronts Daki was so cool. Yknow that Daki flew above and dropped her from a height right? They used the screen to show that she was in the sky and when she dropped okami, the background showed those rush lines when she falls. I think it’s a creative way to show that! This also was done similarly when Inosuke went chasing Daki’s obi after it captured Makio in her room. Inosuke was actually running in the same spot but facing different directions along with the background. Making it look like he’s running chasing the obi in the walls

8. Ooohhhh the scene where Tengen came from behind the owner asking him about Warabi Hime’s whereabouts was so 👁️🫦👁️ then moved to when Inosuke calling the muscle mice to bring his nichirin. THE MUSCLE MICE REAL AND THEY TALK HAHAGAHSJJF yea they had 2 ensembles in black with muscle mice on their hands on the floor bringing Inosuke’s nichirin 😭😭😭😭 IT WAS SO CUTE?!!?! The song Koinatsu sang when Tanjiro is leaving the brothel was really nice ;;; bittersweet bcus she’s also leaving for someone that is willing to marry her but she’s also worried for the people she’s leaving behind the brothel 😔

9. The scene when Tengen found Hinatsuru ill and gave her an antidote… god I wish that were me… it might be just me liking the character too much but it somehow feels different in stage play than when ure reading the manga/watching the anime. Moved to Inosuke getting underground finding the obi’s nest of victims. The obi with people inside were shown through the screen. Inosuke spins while waving his swords around to cut and free the victims. There were ensembles in black moving the obi around. Very pretty! Like those gymnasts with ribbons!!! THE SCEEEENEEEEEE THE SCENE WHEN TENGEN COMES AND MET UP WITH SUMA AND MAKIO AAWHWHABWJEJFN 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭🫶🫶🫶 god I wish that were me!!!! (2) Tengen patting their heads was the cutest 😭💕

10. The fight scenes for a stage play were executed very well by using extra ensembles and the screen at the back. So, Tanjiro fighting Daki. Nezuko woke up and fought her. She beat Daki up and went berserk. Tanjiro sang a lullaby to calm her down and there they were, the mom with little Nezuko at the back as demon Nezuko reminiscence the past. Tanjiro actor’s singing is so good… I could listen to him sing all day 😳

The show then entered 20 minutes break and continued with the second half. I took the chance to buy merch at this time lol

Only able to get Tengen pin and the others were mostly dupes of Inosuke, Daki and Obanai… planning to sell them soon 😭

11. Gyuutaro appeared from Daki’s back. I love the Shabana sibling actors so so much??? 😭😭😭 they were soooo good acting as the demons!!! I couldn’t get enough. Honestly when Gyuutaro uses his sickles, it kinda look like crab waving its claws… 😭 one of Gyuutaro’s moves was his spinning blood move right? The ensembles in black come out with props spinning it around like those spinning blood move. It was so cool I was so amazed by that lmao Gyuutaro’s singing was top notch 👌👌👌 my absolute fav

12. Y’all… the scene when Hinatsuru came to shoot her kunais at Gyuutaro and everything went slo-mo, they really went slo-mo 😭 when Gyuutaro grabbed Hina by the face… that stirred something in me ngl at that moment came the flashback to when Tengen tells his wives to value their lives first then him, that song was cute. I felt the impact more during stage play. He really loves his wives equally and very much 💙💜🧡 Tengen’s siblings also appeared on stage during the flashback. Definitely didn’t expect that at all! It was very nice

13. Moving on to Kamaboko vs Daki. They made it into a number and while Inosuke was singing, Daki was at the back dancing 💃 I swear I love her so much. They made the stage play so funny and entertaining 😭👏 when Inosuke successfully cut Daki’s head, they had her actor wrapped in black cloth and Inosuke was holding it instead of just a dummy head. Inosuke then said we’re gonna run far now to Daki which wasn’t in the original and he said that so that Daki actor would be ready to run. Everyone in the hall laughed at that 😭😭😭😭😭😭

14. I can’t quite remember well the fight scenes but Tengen still had his left eye and arm fighting Gyuutaro until the end lol the fight with Gyuutaro and Daki until both of their heads were cut off were intense 🫨 lots of flashing lights and stuff were everywhere. It was cool

15. The Shabana siblings’ laid under rubble to hide their bodies so that only their heads could be seen. Gyuutaro’s past was so heart wrenching to watch. Demon Gyuutaro was even there to see his kid self being bullied and abused, demon Gyuutaro tried to stop those people away but he was just looking at his memory so the rocks still hits his kid self AND GOD THAT WAS SO PAINFUL TO WATCH. He hugged his kid self aa… demon Gyuutaro was also there to see his sister being burnt alive… AGAIN… 😭 I can’t get those scenes out of my head. It was so good, I cried along with everyone else ;;;; the part where kid Gyuutaro tried to call for help for his sister, demon Gyuutaro joined in the line and that made me welled up so badly 😭😭😭😭😭

16. In manga/anime, Daki changed to her kid self but in stage play, she was in her demon form when she begged to her brother to let her follow him. Gyuutaro carried Daki on his back to hell :( they finally cut off Tengen’s hand during the aftermath 😭😭😭 Suma actor was so cute when she yelled at Nezuko for burning her husband alive LMAOAOAAO

My thoughts/comments

Everyone acted in character and tried to be as close as possible to source. It was such an amazing experience 😭👏 this was actually my first time went to see a stage play so I didn’t have any expectations at all.

If you guys like a series and have the chance to go for their stage play, please go!!

I was genuinely 50/50 at first bcus I know I did this for my stupidly big fixation on Tengen. My friend who’s studying there really liked BSD watched the stage play live online and she really recommended me to go for it. I’m glad I went to watch it honestly 😭

Friday night hangouts/movie nights are a must and if they don’t happen, Gojo whines and whines until y’all end up actually doing something. Imagine the presentation nights with these guys:

Gojo: disney milfs I’d let destroy me respectfully

Shoko: crimes my friends have committed but I’m just too lazy to report them.

Geto: pictures of my friends that I will leak to the Internet if they ever do me dirty

Shoko and reader have most definitely rescued and raised a kitten together once. You haven’t brought it up to either of the boys because they are loud mouthed hooligans. Eventually Gojo finds out and tells Geto. You have to bribe them both not to tell Yaga. What happens the next day? Gojo accidentally rats you out to Yaga. Good news, Yaga reluctantly lets you keep the cat (don’t tell Yaga but he secretly loves the kitty.). Gojo steals the kitten right out of you and or Shokos hands and takes a nap with it resting in his chest.

Geto and reader have a book club and they are the only members. I just think that Geto has really good taste in books and gives great recs. And that’s how your two person book club came about. There have been multiple occasions where Gojo has walked in on you and Geto having an absolute cry fest over a really sad book. Did you and Geto throw books at him so he would leave? Yes. Did Gojo complain about the paper cut to Shoko until she healed it? Also yes.

Gojo forces you to go on snack runs with him. Whether that be snacks for yourselves or for the group on movie nights. Craving a snack in the middle of the night? So is Gojo and that is why you’re both sneaking off campus to grab snacks. One time you both got caught by Yaga, but bribed him with snacks this resulted in your punishment being not as severe.

If your technique requires you to go on missions with Gojo and Geto, you’re in for a rollercoaster. These two hot menaces cannot for the life of them be serious when they are together. Let's be honest you too aren’t as serious when on missions. Whether this be you and Gojo having a photo shoot with the curse you just killed, or you and Geto roasting the curse and cackling at each other. The shenanigans are 24/7 with these two. You get hurt though? All hell breaks loose. Geto is right by your side immediately making sure you’re ok while Gojo is going absolutely feral in the curse that hurt you.

Or maybe your technique relies on you to hang with Shoko? Your days are chill listening to a playlist you both created together while practicing your technique and messing with the underclassmen (with love of course.). This also makes you the first two people Geto and Gojo come to after a mission if they got hurt or roughed up. Geto is usually fine but Gojo is the biggest baby you’ll meet and milks the tiniest bruises. “Omg y/n 🥺🥺 I got a cut on my hand will you fix it 🥺🥺” queue you examining Gojo’s hand and it’s the size of a paper cut.

Road trips? Gojo is on snack duty, Geto is in charge of driving and planning the trip, Shoko is in charge of music and you’re there for the vibes. Geto handed his phone to Gojo for one second while pumping gas which resulted in you guys spamming his phone with selfies, Gojo downloading games on his phone, and accidentally closing out of Google maps. Geto never handed his phone to Gojo again. Don’t tell Geto but his wallpaper is now if you, Gojo, and Shoko are lovingly flipping off the camera.

Gojo makes thirst traps often and sends them to the group chat before uploading it. This is y’all’s time to shine and bully him out of love…of course. He pouts but eventually posts them. thank you so much!!! i'm so glad that you enjoyed it <3 and oh boy... the original story... buckle up for a bunch of Worldbuilding that i did for a day and got tired of.

after finishing the latest archon story, i knew i’d want to write a longer story for scaramouche, which had me split between three ideas. one was a completely different story that’d take place from the POV of a fatui agent to “watch” over and provide reports on his darling/the progression of her sympathy for darling leading to some unfortunate events. as i started drafting it up, i realized i wanted something that focused more on scaramouche and his chaotic inner thought life. i had tons of thoughts to expound on that i just couldn’t get to because he’s barely physically present in that idea HJTKEM it’s 90% the fatui agent’s inner monologues and her relationship with the reader going from

irritation over this whack assignment → budding interest in reader → intense inner turmoil over where her loyalties lie → uh oh mr. mouche isn’t very happy about this development

so into the lock idea vault it went! who knows, maybe i’ll free it one day.

the next idea is what “he who hides behind a mask” comes from. i went from thinking about a more passive reader to an active one, then was like hmm what about a fatui reader 🤔

originally, she was going to be a “black widow” type deal. raised as an orphan in arlecchino’s house of hearth alongside others to seduce/gain information from men at arlecchino’s behest. in the story, arlecchino would want to keep an eye on some of her fellow harbingers, assigning some of the women in this sect to catch their eye. however, the agents arlecchino sent to win over scaramouche hadn’t been successful at all. she’d tried different appearances, different personality types, but nothing seemed to be working. that’s where reader would pop in and be assigned her first mission. arlecchino considers reader her “wild card” since despite reader being bottom of her class, arlecchino still saw potential in her.

ANYWAY the gamble would end up paying off since reader’s unconventional methods somehow made scaramouche interested. somewhere down the line, reader would stop secretly sending messages to arlecchino updating her on scara’s latest activities, which causes arlecchino to oust reader’s true identity to scaramouche as a punishment. queue scaramouche’s heart being obliterated and him going berserk. reader actually came to genuinely return scaramouche’s affections, hence her ceasing communication with arlecchino/feeding her false info. buuut scaramouche wouldn’t be in the state of mind to think about those factors.

the more i thought about it, the more i realized i just didn’t want to make scaramouche suffer this much HJTENKGMR he’s been betrayed so many times that this fourth betrayal would really do him in. so i decided to scrap the arlecchino storyline and let reader and scara have their own thing going on. as interesting as i find the original idea, i’m happy with the direction the story took in the end 😌

A/N: Female reader, posting the first part so I have motivation to complete this, cause this prompt has been stuck in my head for a while now for someone not in r6 but idk how to write them so I’m FORCING this idea to be about doc.

Summary: At the end of a mission you end up going AWOL much to Rainbow and NZSAS's despair. After discussing the matter Rainbow agrees to take the lead on the situation. With the help of Tania, Gustave heads to America in order to track you down to figure out what went down and why you went AWOL.

Sombre expressions were held all around. Sam leaned on the table, his face staring down while the weight of the situation held heavy on his shoulders. Next to him was Harry, seated at the table. Harry was the only one who sat normally while Tiana sat on top of the table, one leg touching the ground slightly while the other was suspended in the air of her side sit. Their eyes flickered to the door as the last member of the group joined the room. Gustave. He was met by their serious expressions, after some consideration they had decided to pull him in on the situation yet kept it a secret from the rest of the operatives. With the dying tension of Nighthavens absence, Rainbow had started to recover. New bonds were formed in the place of destroyed ones of the past, something like this wouldn't help. It would only be a constant reminder of the bad. Someone Harry didn't want.

Sam looked down at the table, he knew Harry would be best to bring the doctor up to speed, he was the best diplomat out of the three of them. Taina gave Gustave a half smile only for a second, one of greeting and perhaps a little of pity. Gustave's brows narrowed as he examined the three before he slowly took a seat in front of them. "I assume something bad has occurred." Not a death, they wouldn't broach such a subject like this.

"Exactly three days ago K was declared AWOL." Harry knew Gustave wouldn't care for beating around the bush. To straight up tell him of the situation was the far better option. It was kept professional and on topic, a level which allowed Gustave to focus on the situation rather than his almost deafening heartbeat that raced in his head.

"Yesterday NZSAS contacted us with this information in hope to continue their investigation into the matter. One in which we have agreed to take over the primary responsibility of the investigation." Gustave's eyes hardened as his hand clenched ever so slightly.

"As you are probably the person who's closest with her on base-"

"Perhaps even off base." Sam interrupted with a mutter which Harry continued to speak, the commend undiscussed.

"We agreed that your insight would be highly valuable, both in terms of your professional opinion and we'll your more personal opinion. This matter is one officially on the books." Harry's eyes flickered to Taina and then back to Gustave's. "But it's still one to be kept on the down low. Aside from those present in the room, only Meghan is aware of the situation."

If someone were to overlook Meghan they would have found her tucked away in the privacy of her dorm room, away from prying eyes. While they talked with Gustave about the situation she was on her laptop and making calls, there was a lot of possible CCTV footage to sift through. "Now the specifics of the situation, Sam if you would please." He nodded to Harry at his queue and pushed off the table.

"She was expected to report in at their base at 2000 hours. After a day went by they checked the civilian fight she was meant to take. The ticket was never checked." He gestured to the map of America behind him. Now Sam had moved out of the way, Gustave had a clear view of the board that had been built up behind it. On it had a large map that took up a quarter of the board. There were pins in your last known locations in green and then where you were supposed to be in red. There were three red pins. One at Auckland airport, one at the NZSAS base and one at IAH Airport in Houston. The red thread lead to the green pin out in the middle of nowhere where it jumped around a few spots before dragging back to IAH Airport.

Next to the map on the board were a couple of pictures, one of the Ford that you had been assigned, a portrait of your face and what you had been wearing that day. Under that was a small picture of an American agent who had been the last to see you. Next to his portrait was a long note of the report that the NZSAS from him. In the bottom right-hand corner they had information about what you had been doing there. "She hadn't been in America for long, two days. They had a joint operation with the FBI about a planned attack against her country. She was there to oversee the apprehension and gain any further intel. From what we heard the mission was a complete success."

"From what we know, nothing would have set her off during the situation. Agent Banks reported she seemed completely normal, in fact, she was credited with keeping the situation calm and reducing the tension." Harry's eyes flickered to the portrait on the board. There were small yellow notes placed, some just added information or questions that both Harry and Sam had made. On the white post-it notes, there were a couple of notes that Taina had made. Gustave's eyes glanced at the small picture of himself, one that had a note about your relationship. Domestic problem? It was Sam's handwriting on the note.

"You want to know if we fought," Gustave spoke up, his eyes making contact with Sam's.

"We want to know if she told you anything if anything at all happened." Taina had her arms folded and Gustave nodded slightly understanding the situation.

"She didn't mention anything. I haven't noticed anything off about her. Nothing bad happened between us, we are doing great really." Taina leaned back and looked away as she absorbed the information.

"So either this wasn't something planned-"

"Or she hid it from Gustave as well." Tania hummed. Gustave's brows narrowed and he swallowed before he spoke, trying to not sound overly defensive.

"Perhaps her absence is not one of will."

"There's been no distress signals, her phone, car, everything dropped off the grid." Sam explained.

"However the drive does take her through an area without reception and CCTV. The possibility that something happened to her hasn't been ruled out." Harry gave him a reassuring smile.

"We haven't ruled out anything at this point." Taina informed him, glancing at the two men.

"From what we know she has a safe house in Texas which we are planning to send Taina to investigate." Harry looked towards the woman as he spoke before looking back at Gustave.

“I know the one.” Sam glanced at Harry at Gustave's comment. “I’ve been there, once a few years ago.” He clarified, why he had been there wasn’t something he mentioned.

"More the reason to… well we wish to send you with her. In the odd case that she is there, we hope your presence could help the situation."

“Of course.” Anything to resolve the situation peacefully. It wasn’t what he said, but its what he thought. The meeting afterwards didn’t run too long, Gustave was thankful when it finally finished.

In the safety of his bedroom, he sat on the bed with a sigh. His heart thrummed ever louder as his body dipped down on its soft surface. He knew you, he knew you weren’t the type to abandon. Something screamed off about the situation and until he found any proof of the situation he was going to presume that something bad happened. You wouldn’t have abandoned your team, wouldn’t have abandoned him.

The flight to Texas was one of pressure and silence. Taina and Gustave spoke little about the situation, it wasn’t until they received a call after their landing did they finally speak with each other. On the side of the road Tania pulled over, the sedan was parked out of the way while Gustavbe brought up the shared laptop in the middle console. There as the call went through they were greeted by both Sam and Meghan. “So what do you have for us?” Tania asked, her hand supporting her head while she leaned on it. Meghan sent through several files that Gustave promptly brought up on the screen, covering Meghan's face ever so slightly.

“So the car she was assigned did get pinged, at some point she got off course and started to go South away from Houston.”

“This is on the way towards her safe house.” Tania noticed and Meghan nodded in response.

“Exactly, we have CCTV going through an intersection as well.” Gustave found the video file that had been sent through. While it didn’t have any volume they could easily identify the license plates in the black-and-white video.

“Hmm, rewind a little.” Taina asked and Gustave followed her instructions, the car had been speeding and when they paused her brows furrowed. “Do we know what state the car was in when she left her mission?” Meghan looked towards Sam and he paused.

“We weren’t told of any damage to the vehicle but I can get confirmation.”

“The front of the car, it's damaged, you can see how it's out of shape, the driver side door as well.” She pointed, Gustave had to look forward, it wasn’t the largest of videos but after a moment he could see what she was talking about.

“That brings up the possibility someone could be after her.” Gustave turned his face to Taina as he spoke and she nodded in agreement.

“While her file is classified we do know she has had extensive work in America, it’s why they sent her in the first place.” Sam explained.

“Which means a decent amount of enemies.” Tiana hummed.

“Then why would she go off course? Wouldn’t she have made contact and arranged for extraction then?” Meghan asked and they all paused, it was logical thinking.

“A mole perhaps? Not trusting the Americans?”

“There's too much going on to properly speculate at the moment.” Sam huffed, but he agreed trying to figure out your mental state was a priority and would change how they approached the situation.

“There's one thing to note, this was pinged about three hours later than when it should have been if she were to be continuously driving.” Meghan explained. A lot could happen in three hours.

“She drives rather fast as well.” Gustave hummed.

“We'll continue our way to the house, call if you find out anything more.” Taina said goodbye, Meghan nodding in response before the call ended leaving Gustave to pull the laptop onto his lap while Taina started the car up again.

It was night when the pair of them arrived. The house was rather quaint, the first thing they both noticed was the car that had been abandoned on the front lawn. The area was rather bare, in the middle of nowhere one could see for miles, any element of surprise would have been lost in the day. Thankfully the darkness of the night concealed the car as it slowly rolled in, its headlights off. The house was one story, with a garage to the right, a typical house. The car turned into silence as the pair of them left it, the dust settled around them on the gravel road. Taina's hand felt the metal hood of your assigned car for a moment. “Cold.” Up close they could see the damage, the car had certainly taken a beating, dents covered the front of it added with a spray of bullet- it was obvious you had been in some type of fight.

Their footsteps crunched on the ground as they approached the dark house. Gustave paused at the front door, his knuckles against it as he looked over his shoulder to Tania. She nodded, her hand going to his pistol, they had no idea what they would get when they opened the door. The sound of his knuckles echoed out, joining the sound of crickets. “Mon amour, are you there?” He paused waiting for a moment but there seemed to be no answer. His eyes flashed to Taina and he took a few steps.

The slam of her foot against the door would have kicked in any normal door, but the frame didn’t budge and she let out a sound in annoyance. It was reinforced. Brute force wouldn’t get them through the door rather quickly. She went to one of the pockets of her pants, fishing out a small lock-picking set and got to work. A few minutes later a grin spread across her face and the door clicked open. Gustave flicked his hands on the light switch and he stopped at the scene in front of him. Blood trickled on the ground, a trail which had the odd bloody hand print on it, Tiana suspected if she went outside during the day she would see a similar sight originating from the car. It seemed you had set up shop in the large lounge that built up most of the building.

A chair had been dragged out by the dining room table. There was a plate next to it with what looked like to be medical disinfectant, a pile of bloody cloths and a bullet in the middle of the plate. Tania started to sweep the idea while Gustave made his way to the area. On the table, his hand brushed over the remnants. “All clear!” Taina's voice echoed through the building. “Gustave, come here for a moment?” She called and his head lifted up, leaving the mess and making his way to the origin of her voice, the bedroom. His hand hovered over his gun as he crept up, his shoulders falling when he saw she was safe.

The room was far more of a mess, the wardrobe had been ripped out, clothes decorated the floor while the bedside table was also open. What made Tania pause was they weren’t your clothing. “These are the clothes I left here.” His eyes looked over them, it wasn’t many but you had convinced him that in the odd case of emergency it would be nice to have a set there. You had been looking for something, what it was though, he didn’t know.

“Why would she be looking through them?”

“I don’t know, there wasn’t anything in them.”

“She's certainly not here but her car is still here, do you think she went out on foot?”

“She might have taken her Toyota, I remember we didn’t use much it while we stayed here but there was one in the garage.”

“Do you remember the plates?”

“Non. We were rather busy.” He coughed and looked away much to her roll of the eyes. He moved on to what he discovered about the living room to catch her up. “I do know it’s been at least an hour since she was last here, her blood is dried. I’ll send Meghan a notice about her car, it’s a Japanese import so I double there would be too many on the road.” He let out a sigh, you were injured and alone, and he couldn’t help but worry. “There's a spare room down the hall. We should rest for the night, hopefully, by then Meghan will have something for us.”

time to engage in some Speculation*

*seriously, don't pretend i have secret insider info

***thats why im posting this here (no one reads this really) and not on twitter and im already beginning to have second thoughts abt keeping it up so we'll see i guess

i'm not gonna say that aaron's blog post today isn't pr-washed, it totally is (wouldn't get published otherwise). i didn't expect to see any blame laid at the foot of corporate mismanagement. but what i did expect (and did see) is creative mismanagement i've (and others) suspected for a hot minute.

team 4 originally thinking of themselves as an 'mmo team' post-ow launch, with their ultimate goal being the rebuilding of project titan, explains so many strange creative decisions kaplan and the old leadership made prior to his departure. they never really saw ow as we saw ow. we saw it as a fun competitive shooter. they saw it as a stepping stone on the way to creating this massive mmofps.

early in ow's history there were so many weird balancing decisions (example: trying to make each hero equally viable in all situations, balancing around quick play). before the closed beta, im pretty sure they only wanted ow to be playable in dedicated teams of 6. meaning no solo queue. which seems like a REALLY weird decision for a competitive fps, right?

well, now it makes sense. they saw ow as this small part into building this big mmo. chasing that white whale that was project titan. and yeah, in hindsight, easy to think "well they couldn't make it work once, why did they think they could the next time?" well they probably didn't expect ow to be a big runaway success, either. they might've felt like they had the right idea, wrong approach.

it also explains (although i think budgets fall into this as well) why they didn't want to just build a new team for ow2's endgame pve. they saw team 4 as the team that did "everything." that handled the whole franchise.

ironically, we probably wouldn't have gotten archives or (in august) ow2's story missions if it wasn't for that creative vision. we know from former ow producer tracy kennedy that kaplan was thinking of a sequel before ow1 even shipped. that was ow2 and its pve, and eventually... ow3?? the mmo?? so it was something they'd prolly planned to start exploring early in ow1's life cycle.

this also explains why the original ow2 announcement in 2019 was so controversial (thats ignoring the whole blitzchung stuff, which i have zero desire to talk about). i remember kaplan being... kinda hostile in some interviews. like, he was interviewed by nathan grayson during blizzcon 2019 for kotaku. in the published version, grayson expressed frustration that ow1's development had been put on ice for a sequel he didn't really want or expect. kaplan mentioned this first interview in a second interview later (although grayson wasn't mentioned by name). like, he was being professional abt it i guess, but he was clearly upset grayson did not understand the vision and sorta accused him of insulting his team (which i don't think grayson was trying to do, either).

but also--how were we supposed to react? we had no idea the goal was to make titan again. we just assumed ow would function like lol or dota. i guess i can't help but be a little angry. i think the team meant nothing but the best, but a lot of fandom angst could've been avoided if we were told abt what ow1 was (a stepping stone to a larger project) instead of what we thought it was (an always supported online game).

this of course ignores all the corporate mismanagement, which i suspect Jason The Video Game Reporter Guy will cover in the next few weeks. i hold no love for kotick and his goons. but if what aaron is saying is at least marginally true, then the old vision was also a problem. its very easy to lay all the blame at abk corporate and a lot should be, but someone had to pull the creative plug earlier i feel.

at the very least, we now have leadership that's willing to make the tough choices, i guess? i'm certain the mentality of many will be "well they should've done this years ago" but hindsight is 20/20. i'd rather focus on rebuilding now (which is what i think the goal is). and while i have issues w ow2 in it's current state, there's also quite a bit of things i like, and quite a lot of goodwill their narrative team has fostered with me (it helps that the lore/characters/story are my favorite thing perhaps).

i also don't really "blame" aaron or jared. it sucks they've become the face of this when it was a different team, with different members, different structure, different makeup. yes aaron was there but he also wasn't director or ep. jared's been at blizz for like 6 months. i'm not saying trust them wholeheartedly but also... don't treat them inhumanly either.

The Netherlands has granted approval for Bulgaria's inclusion in the Schengen area, as per a report by "Reuters." Prime Minister Nikolai Denkov, speaking after the European Council meeting in Brussels, anticipated positive news, highlighting the crucial decision made by the Dutch government.

"Happy to announce that today the government informed the Parliament of its support for Schengen accession of Bulgaria. NL already expressed its support for full application of Schengen acquis to România in December 2022. My congrats to both countries for the good work done!"

This was said by Willemijn van Haaften, the ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Romania in a post on the "X" platform

Nikolai Denkov emphasized the extensive efforts undertaken in recent months, citing the passage of laws in Bulgaria's National Assembly and the establishment of a specialized monitoring mechanism linked to the rule of law. He attributed the positive outcome to November's successful mission in Sofia involving the Netherlands and Austria.

"To reach this point, there's been considerable progress—a series of laws passed in our National Assembly, the establishment of a special monitoring mechanism related to the rule of law, and a fruitful mission in November attended by delegates from the Netherlands and Austria. These indicators paved the way for what we hope will be a favorable decision from the Netherlands," Denkov stated optimistically.

The Dutch Parliament now needs to review and finalize the decision to lift their veto.

However, this outcome has complicated the formation of a governing coalition, possibly extending negotiations for months. Mark Rutte's actions potentially intensify pressure on Nehammer to reconsider his stance, particularly as Austria stands as the sole dissenting voice with less explicit demands compared to the Netherlands, an aspect that impacts Bulgaria and Romania.

Vienna proposed a phased approach for the two countries to enter the passport-free travel zone, suggesting an initial inclusion from airports and ports followed by land borders, albeit without a clearly defined timeline for the latter stage. Reports from Romanian media indicate a willingness in Bucharest to entertain and possibly accept this compromise, despite the drawback that long queues of cargo trucks at borders with Bulgaria and Hungary might persist. Bulgaria holds a more resolute position, demanding a definitive decision from Vienna with specific terms for implementation and complete inclusion in the Schengen area.

Denkov also addressed ongoing negotiations with Austria, indicating that potential solutions are being exchanged in written form. That Toilet is a basic need is something we do not realize since all our homes have not one, but many toilets. But, the importance of toilets was brought home to me when I started Helper4U. When we rented out our first office space, we were on a shoestring budget, and thus had a space constraint. To tide over this, we encouraged girls among our staff to work from home if possible. But, we were amazed to find that they all preferred working from the office rather than from home, even if it meant they could earn more and could also work flexi-time. This was quite surprising because as working women most of us would jump at the opportunity to work flexi-time, not travel, spend more time at home, and still earn more.

Having a Toilet: A luxury for some

On doing some simple research it turned out that the simple reason for this was the absence of a toilet at their homes. All these girls were from slums nearby. They had to use a communal toilet, which was always very dirty, and had no water supply most of the time. Even if all else was well, they had to wait in a queue to use it. That was the first time we realized the impact a toilet can have on people’s lives. Hence we say: Toilet Ek Jaroorat (Toilet is a basic need)

For millions of women, therefore, having a toilet means becoming free: A toilet can be Freedom For Her from so many things. Even for men from slums, it is a luxury. Many drivers come early to work so that they can use the cleaner, and more accessible toilets in the buildings of their employers. This is in stark contrast to the dirty ones in their slums. We, the more blessed ones (with at least one toilet at home) cannot even imagine how not having a toilet can impact the whole life of people, right from what they eat, when they eat, and how they ”go”.

This is not the situation in India alone. Globally, millions still suffer the fear and indignity of relieving themselves in the open or in unsafe or unhygienic conditions — a situation that is most dangerous for girls and women. For more than 1.1 billion women and girls globally, a lack of toilets results in an increased risk of poor health, limited education, harassment, and even attack. WaterAid’s third annual report reveals that women and girls bear the brunt of the Global Sanitation Crisis. Not having access to a toilet puts girls at risk of harassment and attack when finding somewhere to relieve themselves or manage menstruation. Lack of a decent toilet at schools is also a reason for many girls to miss or drop out of school.

How important toilets are for girls can be also gauged from the happy faces of these females posing next to a toilet. Would any of us ever think of posing next to a toilet, leave alone smiling away too?

Some interesting facts about toilets

India tops the list for the longest line for the toilet. While there has been immense progress in improving access to sanitation through the Swachh Bharat (Clean India) Mission, there are still more than 355 million women and girls in India waiting for access to basic sanitation. If they would make a line, it would stretch around the earth more than four times.

Around 289,000 children under five die every year from diarrhea related diseases caused by poor water and sanitation. That’s almost 800 children a day, or one child every two minutes.

Between 2000 and 2015, people defecating in the open dropped from 1.2 billion globally. (20% of the global population) to 892 million (12%). Still enough waste is produced in the open to fill seven bathtubs every second.

This World Toilet Day, on November 19, governments are pledging to do their bit. But, how can we homeowners support this basic human right?

One simple suggestion for all homeowners

Allow your domestic Helpers to use your toilets if they need to go. Rather than send them to the road or bushes nearby, allow them to use your toilets. After all, once flushed, the waste goes through the same process, irrespective of who generated it. Similarly, if someone defecates in the open. And in many of our homes, they are the ones cleaning it. And who knows, they may already be using it in your absence. So, allow them to use it, and feel the joy of giving.

We are all prone to diseases, again, irrespective of who generated it, and where. So prevent it the most you can. A simple gesture at your end will help keep the surroundings in our cities clean.

Allow Helpers to Use Your Toilet. Discourage the use of open spaces that are open defecation.

Remember: Having a toilet is a human rights issue. Everyone has a right to health and dignity. Let us pledge to contribute to it the best we can.
