had to take a hard break from my yakuza kiwami 2 playthrough

yeah its the kiss scene. blasted me right out of the ride. sayama just lost her father less than 12 hours ago, admits shes emotionally shaky, and the writer decides kiryu should go in for a kiss right there?

in normal situations thats just sexual harassment. and i still dont feel the chemistry bc yk2 kiryu is behaving awfully weird around women in this entry. the things he does and say sometimes crosses into sexual harassment more than once. its so weird.

dude's behaving like he's got depression from losing yumi and nishiki the year before, dealing with significant social awkwardness and just does that. after repeatedly pulling away from girls who are into him in the cabaret social outings. o<-< whats going on.

my current question being, is he unintentionally treating sayama as a rebound bc she resembles yumi physically?

i see the hint of reused tropes with yumi. the same trope of how they're both beautiful. yumi with her gekka bijin and sayama with multiple characters commenting on her beauty multiple times. the age too, matches up with roughly yumi's before kiryu got sent to jail in y1, being mid 20s.

i also cant really accept the age part. kiryu is 39. sayama is 25. sayama is also an overachiever and these types tend to be more naive and inexperienced when it comes to dating and relationships. its a little... hm.... nnmmmmmnmng. hm.

anyway, if he is using sayama as a rebound thats leaning into evil on the ethical heterosexuality scale. not as bad as yumi getting killed -- bc how dare she moved on instead of waiting for kiryu? bad faith interpretation here yes, but a plausible interpretation nevertheless.

this is definitely some kind of weird bad writing and i cant get behind it at all.

i also dont know why they didnt add sayama into minigames and write more banter fluff if she's mean to be the romance interest for kiryu. there's nothing. i can invite majima who happily hops by despite having to juggle 3 VERY big jobs, but i cant invite sayama? we have a little mechanic of increasing haruka's affection by doing her requests but all sayama gets is cutscenes...? really....? at least try...

none of these alone would be a deal breaker necessarily, bc they do actually mesh well on the surface level. there was a few scenes that made me cheer for them. but there's too much when its all added together that it cant save the bad payoff.

there is actually so much going on that im wondering if kiryu's actually into women at all, and in fact, not seeing them all as harukas. 🤔

also now looking back at that bucket list scene in y8: sayama. im sorry. the writers should have given you a life beyond yk2 and allowed you to move on.

the game isnt over yet im sure theres gonna be more Heterosexual Bullshit coming my way. i need a drink.

heyyy isnt it wild how when characters say that mk "literally never listens" that is Also a case of unreliable narration. mk listens a lot actually!! he listens to macaque's "you don't use a weapon, you ARE the weapon" monologue in 1x09. he listens to mac again in shadow play (since he was able to quote back the "then be a warrior!" bit). actually now that i think of it there are a lot lot lot of times when mk deliberately echoes someone else's dialogue and clearly he had to have been listening to them and internalizing it bc otherwise he wouldnt be able to repeat it (things like "chose the wrong successor," "to pain," and "harbinger of chaos" come to mind). the thing is tho that mk usually tends to listen to + internalize things that hurt him or otherwise confirm his own fears. so its actually worse in the long run for him!! :D

imagine you are MK. most of your life before this whole story began was you working under Pigsy, your boss/dad, and hanging out with Mei, your best friend in the world.

constantly, you will have Pigsy screaming up a storm about employee etiquette and how MK should clock in on time and “if you ever come to work late again, i’ll fire you!” or you have Tang telling you beautiful stories in exchange for free food because every tale he spins is magical and adventurous. or you have Mei who is a little bit like the little devil on your shoulder egging you on to another game or arcade or movie or outing because both of you never truly had a friend until you met each other and never know when to end your time hanging out.

and we see this in the second episode of season 1, where MK feels pulled in every direction with his job, spending time with Mei, helping out Sandy, and training with the Monkey King. EVEN BY S1 HE IS AT THE END OF HIS ROPE!!! And did anybody truly notice????? DID THEY????

and yeah, Pigsy, Mei, and Minky King are the big contenders for telling MK he isn’t listening, and honestly MK does have a problem with understanding the intent and meaning behind what his friends are saying as he’ll only take in the superficial. however, when it comes to the most stressful and dire times, MK is all ears.

he absolutely understood LBD’s words when she put him and his self worth down, he understood Macky’s ire and vitriol (and was able to piece together that most of Macky’s words are a shield), he understood SWK’s aversion for allowing MK and the gang’s help with finding the rings because of their mortality

here is my assumption of what MK is learning from the people around him (bc my personal headcanon is that MK learns and understands how to behave and react from the people in his circle):

he’s learning that his friends’ needs are more important than his own

he has learned that a lot of his worries are meaningless because they typically get brushed off

in addition to that, he learned that if he has any issues, it would be better to keep them to himself because it truly is no big deal and will find some resolution eventually

he learns that nobody is fully certain he can do things on his own

he learns that many people (the villains) believe he’s someone they can mold into their own

MK is internalizing a lot of shit. and we see a snippet of that behavior I think in s3 where he bemoans about not being good enough for SWK and Pigsy’s is like “woah, wait a minute….did that asshole really say that to you???”

and the thing is, Wukong didn’t say that nor would he ever intend to say something that would make MK think little about himself; however, Wukong has his own issue of never elaborating on shit, so while he may have said “listen, bud, this journey is super dangerous and life threatening, and you’re still mortal so it would be best if you stayed here” what MK heard was “since you’re still a weak mortal, this mission isn’t cut out for you”

and yeah it just eloquently shows how MK internalizes the worst of people’s words (hey, like mentor like student, am I right? 👀) which is why it is so easy for the antagonists to creep into his head (LBD, Mac, Azure, Ink!MK, possibly PIF???)

update: almost gave myself spoilers trying to see if there were any strategys (specifically for the part with the falling objects. god i hate that part)

so i just wasted time repeating the bossfight AND almost gave myself spoilers!! ..uwahhh

so. since i wasted so much time on martlet. i'll give some personal insight onto how the attack is.

God awful

most of her attacks are easy, *especially* since if you look at the crosshairs, it shows you what direction the attacks will go in/come from.

so all you need to do is just stand there.

with the boxes, you just have to stick to the ground. its safest, just make sure not to get crushed by objects/incoming boxes. the WORST attacks in my opinion would be the feathers exploding into 3 extra feathers attack, and the wind attack with falling objects.

the first of the two is easier, just stay away from the big red feathers and treat it all like a bullet hell.

i still havent figured out a strategy for the wind attack, i honestly just hope i dont get a bad combination of objects and usually heal right before the attack arrives.

but, yeah! i also noticed if you apologize and then attack right after, she seems to skip a line of dialogue and also maybe an attack? its hard to tell.

so yeah! apologies for rambling

i'd also like to ramble once more; i like how all of these locations and characters clover meet are kind of implied to exist at the same time as the other monsters?

like, the dark ruins: frisk wouldnt encounter it because she never falls into the dark ruins.

the other part of snowdin? it makes sense it exists; we took a different exit out of the ruins, and if you look at the base game, you can overlook a HUGE forest. who knows how many more monsters there are around?

i think im gonna feel the worst about killing him. look at him. a little guy

Ryan fighting an opposing teams hockey player bc of something they said about you. Like you were wearing a tight black dress dress or something with your custom jean jacket with his number and name and one of the opposing players I like “you let your girl walk out like that?” And yeah.

You and Grace smith decided to look cute for tonights game against Michigan state, you just didn't realize that it would cost a fight between your boyfriend and the captain because the state captain couldn't keep his mouth shut.

"hey freshman," the captain calls out Ryan turns around losing the puck from his possession, "is that your girl over there." the whistle blows and the period ends, Ryan ignores him skating away, "you let your girl walk out like that." all ryan sees is red. He skates up to the state player throwing a punch

"Watch your fucking mouth." Ryan says angry

"You should control what your girl-" and another punch to the face, while the michigan state captain tries to punch him again

"what is going on." You say sinking back in your seat, grace puts a hand on your arm

"I dont know but Ryan isnt too happy," She says, "oh no now Will and Eamon is coming over."

"I dont want to see this, can we go." Grace nods her head helping you grab your things, when you walk out of the stands you overhear Ryan got a misconduct and is out, you just shake your head walking out of the arena with grace.

couple hours later, Ryan opened up your apartment door looking for you

"Baby." No sound. Ryan sighs heading towards your closed bedroom door, he opens it seeing you wrapped up in your big white fluffy comforter, "Hi pretty girl." you huffed, " I know your upset with me because i didn't see you wait for me and i know its about me fighting."

"Oh who would've thought." You say taking your eyes off the phone giving him a look, " Why did u fight Ry you know i hate it."

"I didn't mean to fight, the spartan captain caught you wearing my name and he started talking shit about you and nobody talks shit about my girl." He says coming to sit beside you on your bed

"Maybe i shouldnt come to your games because its the second time." You began but Ryan shuts that down immediately

"You are coming to my games, you can wear a cute tight dress and my name on the back of your jacket any time, but nobody talks bad about you how the way you dress."

"i know Ry." You tell him

"Are you mad at me." He asks

"Why would i be mad, yes upset but im not mad at you for defending me again," You wrap your arms around him and he buries his head in your neck, "I also think you fighting is so hot."

(update on friend situation) just today they said in the group chat theyre all drawing gift art for each other and other friends... i'm still waiting on the paid art from them but they're doing art trades and stuff for free so i feel kind of like trash. im a bit of a bleeding heart though so im gonna give them like one more month before telling them not to bother finishing the art for me... id love my money back because it did cost a LOT of money but i dont want to be a dick so im just going to express my disappointment by telling them not to worry about the commission at all. i want to feel like i have some right to be mad in this situation but im very soft hearted and dont really have any other friends so if i lost these friends id have literally nobody else in my life :( and that kinda feels like hell for me to think about... i feel like im being treated like dirt but im still going to go christmas shopping for them.............. even if i feel like shit, i feel shittier if i dont get people gifts and stuff because i just think to myself, like, "i feel like crap if nobody buys me shit for holidays or my fucking own birthday and i dont want other people to feel that way".....

also im feeling a little sad because whenever my friends talk about their friends they dont even refer to me by name theyll go "[friend a name], [friend b name] and oomfie are in our server" or something. im not even a name to them... i feel like the last kid picked on a team but not even the last pick. like have you guys ever been on a sports team and you kinda got awkwardly waved over to one of the teams because nobody even wanted to pick you? yeah.

i wonder if im just really dense and need to pick up on hints that people dont even want to be around me. i even tried to post this video game i started working on lately because i thought it was really interesting and cool and i put my soul into it but everyone just ignored it in the group chat.

i think the social outcast route is probably my best bet at this rate, i think. im going to be pretty fucking depressed about limiting my social interactions but i think the depression from isolation isnt as bad as getting constant narc crashes from people not putting even a tiny bit of energy into friendships. like.. i honestly am not asking for very much. i get fucking narc highs if someone uses my fucking name in a conversation. i get highs from literally the bare minimum fucking interaction of anything directed in my direction im so desperate....

A/N:just a funny little drabble based on banter and commeradery. Also i would 100% tease the fuck out of obi-wan i wanna make him blush so bad, and i know i could. I just know it!

"Aren't you excited to get home and enjoy that four letter word?" Cody asked, excited to be heading home for a few weeks' leave. The others took that as a queue for a little guessing game, each offering their own four letter word. love?,Food? Beer?

"Anal?" Everyone paused nd snapped their heads to you. You forwned but kepts chewing your mouthfull of cookie slowly, flicking your gaze between the others.

"A-anal? Y/n? What the fuck? Your a jedi!" Cody broke the awkward silence with a yell, waving at you animatedly.

"Oh What like i cant be a jedi and like anal at the same time?" You said with a scoff rolling your eyes before taking another bite of your cookie.

"Well i? No? But.!?" He tried to find the words to argue his point but you cut him off.

"Exactly. Butts" you smirked pointing to him with a suggestive raise pf your eyebrows.

"Fucking hell!"

"This discussion is very inappropriate" obiwan called from his seat across the room. Desperately trying npt to massaged his temples as he felt another head ache coming. He knew you would rile the others up. You cpuldnt help it it was in your nature, not even being raised in the temple could get rid of your sadistic streak. And by force did they try to teach it out of you.

"Like youve never tried butt stuff?" You grunted at the older man with a light sneer. Not about to be judged by so eone who'd probably played more 'hide the salami' then you ever had.

But the jedi master held firm, trying to keep a stern gaze, but flushed. His eyes gave him away. No, he had never explored to that degree.

"Wait youve neve smashed a girls back doors in?" You pondered out loud unable to fathom the attractive man had never been given the chance to lay some back door pipe.

"Oh my god you havent? Well shit i thought he got it from you?" You exclaimed pointing a thumb in Anakins direction whoch ,and a few of the others chuckle. Anakin frowned for a second and made to ask what you meant, but obi-wan got there first with a sputtering yelp.

"I beg your pardon?! Who got what from me exactly?" Obiwans voice grew high. Offended by the insinuation. Yet still asked just to clarify he hadnt misheard you.

"Well, you know you got anakin when you were young, i gathered he got that cocky adventourous sheet freak vibe from you? But now Im geussing not?" You shrugged

"Wait i give off sheet freak vibes?" Anakin asked from the door, a little too excitedly if you do say so yourself.

"Err yeah.... did you not know that? Like half the temple thinks your a kinky son of a btich... and they think you got it from him" you explained whilst slowly pointing to obiwan, who despite blushing looked completly blindsided. And appalled.

"Jedi have fantasy fucks?"

"Im stil, surprised to find out you guys have sex? Like kriff! You live in an actual temple" You rolled your eyes as the guys spoke out loud, completely confused. It was like they belived jedi were a differe speices. Idiots.

"We're not fucking abstinent. We just dont form relationships. We are free to fuck all we want;i mean damn you can fuck without being lovers. So in other words yes. Jedi women have fantasy fucks. And most of the ones i know;which is a fair few are sort of split into two camps. Obi-wan and Anakin. Some are simps for windu too but err. No thanks i tryto avoid that particular locker room talk"

"Im a fantasy fuck? Thats pretty awsome actually." Anakin laughed puffing his chest with pride. You giggled at him nodding, pleased that he atleast found it amusing.

"Thats the spirit" you praised him with a beaming grin.

"Anakin, y/n can you both just shut up? Please I just? I didnt need to know this type of thing happened in the temple." Obi-wan huffed pinching his brow. Clearly he was getting fed up with the two of you and your laid back attitudes. Honestly why the hell the council had paired you two together in the same troop he will never know. You both brought out the worst in each other.

"To be honest obi-wan, you should be proud, i mean being a temple fantasy fuck is quite something. We are a religious bunch... maybe sacrilegious now?" You teased lightly trying to lighten him up with so e jokes. He really was a stuck in the mud. But then again that stern yet caring disposition was what had granted him the 'daddy' moniker. His reply was a stern grunt of your name, warning you to pack it in.

"What? Im Tying'na make you feel better. No one likes a sad obi-wan. Especially the ladies at the temple" you pouted glearing at him crossing your arms. But he held your gaze, raising a brow.

"Am i a fantasy fuck in the temple" the question came from cody, sitting beside you. You paused for a moment before pointing at him a little.

"You know what? I'll ask around and get back to you on that cody" the conversation seemed to stall their, much to the jedi masters relief. Anakin looked to obi-wan seeing him relax, thanking the stars anal was jot the topic of discussion now. He smirked, he couldnt have that now could he?

"Sooo anal?" He asked, turing his head to you suggestively smirking, before sending you a not so subtl wink. Obi-wan deapanned before ha ing his head. Muttering ' For fuck sake anakin' under his breath.

"In your dreams pretty boy" you uttered smirking back at him enjoying the little tit for tat, and the fact anakin was in a playful mood, whoch was rare nowadays.

"Ah your an obi-wan kind of girl, gotcha" he grinned crossing his arms and tipping back to lean on the wall.the others laughed and began hooting like a bunch of overgrown teens.

"Fuck you!" You cursed glowering at him playfully.

"I just tried, but you turned me down" he coundptered sending the clones into peals of laughter as your face turned red and yo tried to find some scathing reply.

"Anakin stop it!" Obi-wan chided half heartedly. He couldnt help it, deep down he did enjoy seeing the old playfull anakin rear his head. It was rare.

"Oh i think the feelings mutual. Lucky obi-wan y/n~" you flushed brighter and squeaked. The grin on obi-wan's face dropped and he began scolding him. But as usual it fell on deaf ears.

"Thats not fair! Jedi get the force, the sabers, and now anal?!" Cody cried raising his hands in a 'what the fuck' gesture. You threw your head back laughing at the list of jedi perks. Even anakin broke out into a thunderous laugh. Clearly the man had done the back door break in probably to avoid pregnancy; much like you if your honest.

"no one is getting anal; dont you dare give me that look y/n" obi-wan stated making the room break out into a chorus of groans. Yoh giggled though, your pout had caught iphis attention.

"Boring old fart" you snipped slumpjng back into your seat with a grunt.

"Hey! Watch it" he growled snapping his fingers whislt pojntjng at you.

"What ever you say daddy~" you laughed when his composure slipped and his cheeks glowed. You smirked at him. Gotcha! He rolled his eyes waving a hand at you before slipping away from the group with a sigh. By know youd thought he'd learn youd do anything to rile him up. Teasing was pretty much the only fun you got. Well untill you got so e leave and found a little fuck boy.

i absolutely love bbh and i see where you're coming from totally when you're frustrated with red team's grudge against him. it's frustrating when watching from bbh's perspective because yeah. he is just playing the game, he's trying to save his kids, he's merciful when he can be and is very polite. so i totally understand the frustrations bc it seems like others hate him for completely unfair reasons.

but from the red team's perspective- they do not actually think he is evil. Like they fully understand why he's doing what he's doing and don't really actually hate him. it's just a bit that they're running with. The "badboyhalo is our specter of death, our mortal enemy" is really just a funny thing they are doing.

They're not really super focused on lore rn so i think the conflict gets rough though, with q!Bad having such strong roleplay motivations and the red team kinda just messing around rn and having fun. Their plan right now is to just play and wait for lore clues to pop up so they can figure out what REALLY must be done.

also the agreement with ElQuackity wasn't even about BBH or the Blue team at all, i think the players just wanted Green to have a win for motivation.

this helped because i heard that green and red were teaming bad, which again isnt awful, i can totally see a fun way for it to play out, i just get flashbacks to people saying that bad deserved to be caged back during that arc. like if red and green team just obliterate bad i dont want them to be seen as perfect angels for doing so, you know?

im also looking forward to green possibly winning today (even though i think blue has been doing some great stuff lately, but im biased lmao)

basically, i get the grudge, i just dont like how some chatters, some people on twitter, and the rare person here takes it like it has actual needed weight to it, and that its not just their characters holding onto a grudge a bit too hard.

i am also almost always on the defensive because I Know how people hold jaiden, cellbit, slime, and foolish (and philza argh) to this 'perfect angel' standing while they decimate bad for doing something even slightly morally questionable, while idk, foolish is a cop, jaiden literally ignores how cucurucho tortured her friends, cellbit killed several innocent people, slime.. idk slime's pretty chill, and philza,, is lowkey a bystander sometimes.

It’s pouring outside. Absolutely pouring. A torrential one if you will. The wind is howling, and Techno worries for the safety of their house from the massive tree in their backyard.

Techno looks over to where his dog is sitting perfectly at the front door, tilting his head back and forth. “No, Floof. We are not going on a walk in this weather. Are you crazy?”

Floof whines, before jumping up and down in a circle and barking.

Techno gives him a deadpan look. “You are. You have finally lost it.”

Floof ignores him, and continues to bark. There is no way Techno is giving in to this tiny demonic ball of white fluff.

Techno stands up, and instead of going towards the front door, he moves to the back one. He unlatches the lock, and waits for Floof to come running. Floof does, without hesitation, and Techno can hear the clitter clatter of his nails hitting the hardwood. When Floof reaches the door, Techno slides it open, and all of the sudden the pouring rain and rushing wind become much, much louder.

Floof sits in front of the door, and turns to look at Techno. Techno is pretty sure he can see the despair in his dog’s eyes.

“Yeah. Thought so. You’re just gonna have to wait it out bud,” says Techno as he closes the door, latching the lock.

Floof this time doesn’t argue, and instead lies down in front of the door whining. Techno gives him a pat twice on the head before, going back to where he was gaming on his computer. He was mining for his new faction on the (twentieth) Minecraft server Skeppy had forced him to join.

A flash of thunder rocks the house, and he looks back out at the stormy world outside. Really, he can’t see anyone going outside in this weather. He pauses, looking back at the Minecraft world on his computer screen. Unless…

It is. But Skeppy doesn’t need to know that until he gets here. Plus, Techno wasn’t lying when he told him he would give him the netherite he found. Techno isn’t that cruel.

Techno prepares them hot chocolate and popcorn, planning on gaslighting Skeppy that the whole reason he tricked him over was so they could watch a movie together, and definitely not because he just thought it would be funny to see him get soaked.

As Techno is mixing the powder into the heated milk, he hears a knocking on the door and grins. He finishes stirring, before grabbing one of Floof’s towels and walking to the door.

He opens it to reveal a completely soaked Skeppy. His hair is dripping into his face, and the thin wind-breaker he’s thrown on has been changed from the light aqua colour it normally is, to a dark blue.

“You are so lucky I only live five minutes away,” Skeppy says, glaring at him.

“Oh Skeppy, what would I ever do without you?” Techno replies, taking a step back so Skeppy can enter his house.

As Skeppy is taking his shoes off, Techno closes the door behind him, locking it before throwing the dog towel at Skeppy’s back.

It drops to the floor, and Skeppy picks it up. He’s about to rub his face with it, before he squints at it. “Is this Floof’s?”

Techno shrugs. “Maybe. You got a problem with that?”

“I’m not a dog, Techno!”

“Debatable.”

Skeppy throws the towel at Techno’s face, laughing. “Fuck you, Techno!”

Techno cackles back, before making his way to the kitchen, grabbing him the clean and human towel he had prepared before, and giving that one to Skeppy. He then goes to finish the popcorn he was making.

Skeppy follows him all the way through, and when he gets to the kitchen he pauses, scanning the living room where the singular bookshelf that Techno’s family has downstairs is. There’s silence for one moment before, “Oh, you’ve got to be shitting me.”

“You really have to get better at not being gullible, man. You give Bad shit all the time for it, but really man? You thought Floof knocked that down?”

Skeppy laughed. “Shut up, man! I hate you so much.”

“I’m still going to give you the netherite.”

“...Okay. I hate you a little much.”

“That’s not grammatically correct at all.”

“Fuck off.”

Techno finishes with the popcorn, and hands Skeppy the mug of hot chocolate he’d made him. “Let’s go watch Megamind.”

Skeppy takes it without hesitation, and follows Techno to the couch in the living room, with the very clearly knocked over bookshelf. “You could’ve just asked me to come over.”

“This was funnier.”

“You are the worst.”

“I made you hot chocolate and popcorn, and this is how I’m treated? Fine, next time you’ll get nothing in return.”

“No, no no no no— It’s great. Thank you, Techno.”

“That’s more like it.”

DOUBLE WARNING I don’t rule out that over the many years of being in dxs fandom, the main concept of game's lore in my head just didnt messed up with my own headcanons. it is alteady messed up. cuz. yk) me n my besties created the full story aND - [GUNSHOT]

yeah i know it is strange to say, that dx has more main characters that just. Adam, JC and Alex D, cuz. They are Literally The Main chars. But back to my seven.

As i said before i love them all equally, for different reasons. One thing abt dx as a game is that characters arent plain and they are multifaceted.(?)

Adam

I love Adam for his complicated story, personality, for his own struggles, motivations and how they are represented in game. These small environment storytelling pieces and music that creates the mood (wait redswa it isnt abt the environment). What im trying to say. Through the gameS - dxhr and dxmd - we can see how Adam is healing from his trauma, and how heavy it was. Also needet to be noted how he interacts w another characters. AND this tension between him and Frank but how at the end of the day (but lit at panchaea) Frank is still cares a lot abt Adam.

Also Adam is just like my bestie. Moral think for yourself. Yeah.

Pritchard

ONE thing i need to say abt frank is HESSS JUST LIKE MEE FRR, and now imagine some kind of cringe sigma phonk playing on the background. Yeah thats it. I relate to him so much but like. in more✨deep infj cringe way✨ Have you evere feel like Pritchard is gonna explode from nerves or even neurotism? Or like from blast of incomperhensible mess of feelings but he hides it? This is what im talking about. Heyy dont judge me i need to project some shit to my faves okay???? Damn how could you tell i have a lot of hc on dx? i have no idea!

I love Pritchard's informality. I mean. BRO WHY YOUR BIKE IS EVEN ON YOUR WORKPLACE???? AND THIS FINAL FANTASY POSTER???? AND THIS TV INSTALLATION??? honestly?understandable.

In Prague, Frank is still reminds Adam abt himself. Yeah i knoe it is for game purposes, but imo in lore perspective: Pritchard is gathered a lot of info for Adam (basically dxhr retelling), and this small detail: Adam keeps Pritchard's book. (i know you can find them anywhere in Prague, but still (methink eidos gaf later abt this texture and put it anywhere jus because lmao))

Megan and Malik.

Another notable thing that i like in dx series is that women in game arent sexualized. They arend "simple and f🤮ckable objescts" Megan is a scientist, on a verge of the greatest innovation. Yes. We dont know much abt her bc she is literally missing. Malik is a pilot. Damn i love her sm. Her chardesign. Strong and powerful charisma and nonconfotmity. Faridah's sidequest in Hengsha???? MY GIRLLLL GO AND GET AND BEAT SHIT OF THIS ASSHOLE. 👊👊👊👊

I remember how sad was i, when Malik was killed in dxhr and how happy was i to find out her little gift in Prague.

Overall kinda sad that there is not much screentime of them.

AND another notable thing. Megan and revolver. Revolver as an inspiration. OK I GOT IT

Eliza

Its 2028 and AI is already taken big steps in development. Questions of self-consciousness of an AI were asked in a lot of sci-fi creations. And deus is not not an exception. Love how Eliza obtains her own conscious during the game and how it leads to project Hyron at the end. I have a lot of thought abt p. Hyron overall. Another topic ngl.

And ofc her design is beyond all praise. Thank you designers for NOT making her oversexualized.

During dxmd Eliza is also questioning a lot of essential questions. I know she does. But cant remember what exactly it was. Need to replay tho

Vaclav

Love him for his light distinctive punkie nature, with big heart and ready to help whenever you need it. Vaclav tries his best so much. In library we can find cz-eng vocabulary with medical terms, when ig most of his patiens are czechs... says a lot

I would say that vaclav is silly but not stupid, not even naive. We can find him on Dvali's blacklist, but he is important for them. (but we also remember that otar just dont like him cuz vac knows radich's secret and otar is not (mb that the reason why vaclav is blacklisted))

well how to say it.. he's soul is good and lovely, he is not evil or dark. Idk cant find an eng analogue.

Since the accident Evan hadn't seen Michael in years, he missed him greatly, every time someone entered the restaurant, Evan felt a resurgence of hope rush through him, hope that quickly died down as he realised Michael still hadn't returned to him. Evan feared he would never see Michael again.

He often spent his time alone, a phantom in the shadows, a silent observer. The other spirits were all very angry, but Evan still envied them. They all had a physical form, they could communicate with one another, they weren't alone.

Night 1

The security guards always came and went, never staying for more than a week. So when a new security guard showed up for their first shift no-one batted an eye, they'd kill him then wait for a new one. This one was different though, they all recognised him, but only Evan knew him for who really he was.

Michael was listening to the previous guards message, he had stayed longer than any other before the unfortunate circumstance of his death. Evan felt his non-existent eyes begin to well with non-existent tears of joy as he finally saw his brother after years of longing.

Evan tried to make contact with Michael, but having no physical form ment his communication was limited to small flickers, the first thing Evan told him was

Night 2

Once Michael got settled in and picked up the phone, Bonnie quickly left the stage, on the move towards Michael. Evan began to panic, scared of losing Michael when he just got him back. His fear turned to courage as he shut the door on Bonnie's face.

Michael stared in shock at the door that closed on its own. He hesitantly turned on the light by the door, flinching as he sees the haunting silhouette of the animatronic rabbit. He feels the guilt within him rising, he knows they mean him no harm, they're just scared, and vengeful towards his father, they just can't tell the difference.

Evan can feel the sorrow within Michael, he knew his brother so well. Even though he had nothing to feel guilty over, Evan had already forgiven him, Michael still felt like it was his responsibility to atone for their father's sins.

Night 3

As worried as he was for Michael's safety, Evan was ecstatic that he kept coming back each night. He knew it was selfish, but he simply didn't care. He finally had his big brother back, and he would fight to keep him.

This was going to be the most intense night yet. This is when Freddy began hunting his prey. Evan and Michael would have to work together in order to protect him, Evan knew he was in danger, but he was secretly excited to spend this time with Michael.

Evan fought off Freddy and Chica when necessary, lessening Michael's workload significantly. Michael was greatful, but curious as to who his mysterious helper was, but he wouldn't question it, he knew how rare it was to have an ally in a place like this, that wasn't just a prerecorded message.

Night 4

The previous night guard was dead. Evan already knew, but seeing the shock and horror on Michael's face made him feel bad. Evan would never hurt Michael, nor would he let anyone else, he just had to protect him tonight, and every other night.

Evan continued to fend off Freddy and Chica, but they were getting more and more angry, more and more powerful, they were draining his energy. With each time they tried to attack Evan became weaker.

Evan knew he wouldn't have enough energy to keep going so he returned to Michael, hoping to gain enough energy to defend him from direct threats.

Once the six am alarm blared, Michael practically ran out of the restaurant, not even stopping to thank Evan for his help. But Evan understood, he must be so confused and scared. He could only hope and prey that Michael came back tomorrow night.

Night 5

Michael returned for another night, having barely any time to prepare before the animatronics became active. Evan jumped into action, keeping Freddy and chica at bay.

Now that Evan knew his limits, he knew when to fall back to Michael and regain his energy. As much as Evan liked protecting Michael now that he had the ability too, it felt very nice to know Michael could defend himself, and Evan.

They kept on fighting the animatronics until 5:57, when the power went out. Michael was paralysed, Evan knew what happened to the guards if the power ran out, and he would never allow that to happen to Michael.

5:58, loud, slow thumps could be heard getting closer to Michael, stopping just outside his door. Evan prepared himself for a fight. A classical tune began playing, small lights flash, showing the animatronic waiting in the shadows.

5:59, the tune and lights stopped and the boys were thrusted into darkness once again. The silence was deafening, occasionally being interrupted by more thumping. Michael prepared for the worst.

6:00, the alarms rang. Michael ran out as fast as he could, Evan followed close behind, gaining speed as he neared the exit. He was so excited to finally be free, to leave with Michael. Michael quickly left the restaurant, once Evan tried to leave with him, an invisible force prohibited him. He tried again but once again was unable to.

"Michael!" He called out, "Michael! Help me! I'm stuck!" Evan pleaded but Michael kept running. "Please don't leave me alone again." He whimpered before falling to the ground again, "Please, Michael, help me." He cried, like he always did. Just give up and cry.

what's yr fav hidden gem horror game thats been wiped off the net

the fishermen and the worm :( i first heard it got gone when i randomly got a dm on reddit of all places bc once upon a time i commented on a post recommending it as a creepy game that doesnt look like horror at first, n the person basically went 'yeah hey do u still have the files for this bc turns out its gone from the net' n im like AGH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO bc i lost those in between moving computers many times

iirc the only surviving proof of it existing is an incomplete lets play series on youtube n also some screenshots i took revisiting the ending location to show my bf a long time ago.

it was a very neat little game n it makes me sad the creator wanted it gone but i guess i sort of can understand it bc sometimes as an artist ur gonna get embarrassed of ur old art n want to move on from it n see it gone off the net, i know ive done that with like, p much all my old devart profiles (i have none atm)

you might be wondering what it was about... to give a summary, its about these two little guys who are dubiously in love or maybe just besties who live in like this cartoony paradise in a hole n call themselves fishermen but then theyre like. hey why do we call ourselves that if weve never fished. so they go to their elder and are like HEY WHERE THE FUCK IS ALL THE WATER n hes like FUCK YOU THERES NO WATER HERE ITS ON THE SURFACE YOU STUPID FUCK. so they go to the surface n they meet this worm bug lady whos rly nice n sort of a mother figure to them, shes like rly old, shes been told by her moms (<3) to wait for these two guys for thousands of years in that very same spot. theyre like can u show us water n shes like yeah n points to a speck on the horizon n theyre like wtf we meant to fish in n shes like ohhh okay. yeah we gotta go to a different place for that.

AND THEN. THE REAL GAME BEGINS. you see bc every place in this world is called an 'age', n the more you traverse it, the weirder n often times creepier it gets n the more u get the feeling this is kind of telling the story of someones life? but you cant figure out who. not yet at least. without spoiling too much though, i rly like all the diff visual n style changes for every age, the next age you encoutner right after you move away from the worms spot is genuinely really fucking creepy n with this genuinely NASTY looking grit to it n it only gets more fucked up the more u play through it. thats around the point where i realized OH. oh ive been tricked. this ISNT a silly goofy haha rpgmaker game thats short n sweet! THIS IS A SCARY GAME!

but as ive said every age has a diff look to it, one other is psychedelic, another almost looks like a dr seuss book... so on. eventually, everything starts coming together, n what i rly like about this game is that it doesnt just give u dead ends, it expects you to be smart to figure it out, yes, but it also gives you PLENTY of evidence to figure it out n flat out tells you some stuff n by the end youre probably gonna just naturally know what happened.

i will also say looking back on it i rly appreciate the underlying theme of being gay n growing up gay n how the world aorund you affects you, theres like, SOME REALLY DARK fucking themes when you really get down to it and actually study the full on implications of what its trying to tell you. it rly gets dark with like, how bad homophobia can get n how heartbreaking n desolate sometimes the experience of being a gay kid can be when u have no one who you think you can trust n then growing up into a gay adult whos just getting more confused n worried about the future n sometimes even getting taken advantage of.

but despite all the horror n darkness... its a game that knows when to give you plenty of breathers, the three main characters are so charming they just shine naturally, they combat all the darkness by just being themselves. theyre not the ones who lived through all this horrible crap, theyre just bright little cartoon guys who want to go fish! n by god(s, in this games case) theyre gonna do it!!! n in the end... they may just decide to make things better for everyone else. the game has a good ending. its good guys. the game is good.
