Killer Croc and Jack Fenton are brothers.
Killer Croc was the first born, just a about 5 years older than Jack. Their father was a large man, much larger than should be possible considering he never had a meta gene.
But oh boy would it have not surprised them if he did. Because that man was strong, 10 feet tall, and shrugged off things that would injure most people.
Like a brick to the head.
Anyways.
Croc was entranced with his younger brother; he was so small so much tinier than he had any right to be, and cuter than a button. He babbled like most babies do, but Croc wouldn't think twice before calling his baby brother the best baby of them all.
His dad could fit him in the palm of his hand easily! Which was just one of Jack's many great qualities in his opinion!
Croc and Jack's parents weren't really on the best of terms, Croc could tell. He didn't know why, really, but he didn't want his baby bro to feel unloved in any sort of way, and it's not like he really had friends to hang out with, plus his parents were busy with jobs.
So he mostly spent his time taking care of and playing with Jack. Changing diapers, feeding him, lifting him up and down with his tail, just the normal sibling stuff.
He feels kind of bad for his dad though, whatever kind of job he had didn't even let him come home most days, and when he did he could barely even walk upright without falling asleep and jolting awake. He still made time for them, however, when he got those rare few off days.
He's honestly surprised that man managed to drive a car properly in the state he was in.
Their mother was often out of the house, Crocc didn't know what she was doing but he just thought it was like his dad. Unlike his dad, however, she didn't really like him. He didn't really know why, nor did he really care either if he was to be honest.
Around a year later the tension between their parents got so thick it could be cut with a butter knife. Then it turned to arguments in the rare times they both were in the house, he didn't even know his parents could make such cutting remarks to each other, and then both of them being in the house less than before.
Then when he turned 10, and Jack 5. They got divorced. Croc was left with his mother and Jack got taken by his father. His mother didn't take the divorce well, really, probably because at the same time she got fired from whatever the hell she was doing and was left jobless.
Then she dropped the bomb on his that his dad wasn't even his actual dad and Jack is only his half-sibling and then promptly abandoned him in the sewers with the rats and what was most likely very poisoned water due to it being the sewers and Gotham.
Well. Fuck.
Croc thinks that Jack doesn't even remember him due to how young he was, nor did he ever see his dad again cause, y'know, being abandoned in the sewers and all.
Then multiple years later he ran into his brother again and got DAMN was he tall. Not taller than him, but it was basically the equivalent of a gut punch to Croc, because he remembers his baby bro being so tiny, so baby.
He blames his father's genes for him being 8 feet taller now. A head shorter than him, sure. But he wants back his small baby bro alright.
Then he finds out his baby bro has a family.
And fuck did he not want to involve himself anymore in fear of being a catalyst for tearing said family apart due to being, well, him and all. Then he was promptly (quite literally) dragged over to meet said family despite his stance on the matter.
Then he finds out he's just treated like a normal person with zero amount of fear. His wife? She had to have a giant in her family too because she was 7 feet tall and was smart enough to kick his ass.
His daughter? 6 feet tall and their first meeting she accidently became his therapist. Also, he was sure she was a meta of some kind, probably something to do with wolves.
Then finally, their son.
It felt like he was thrown back to his childhood when he saw him, he looked so much like Jack did, and he was so, so tiny just like his baby bro was. He had to physically hold himself back from doing anything with the kid because he feared he would accidentally break him or something.
Then he found out that apparently his nephew was half-dead and that his brother and his wife hated ghosts with a passion, built a portal to the other side, had their city attack by the ghost king and then promptly found out about their son's half-dead status and had to do a major revamp of basically everything they knew and acted upon.
Which they're still working on.
Oh and also their daughter is a werewolf, she had a meta gene from someone of his dad's side and only recently activated it.
All of that which was a lot to take in for old Killer Croc, also he knew his niece had something to do with wolves.
So, Killer Croc in all of his life from the point of being abandoned at up to now, decided to go screw the bats and whatever they're attempts of figuring out what the fuck's going on with him (look at you Red Hood.) and decided to try and integrate himself into this family and brother's life again as best he can.

3 HC Prompt thingy!
1). Cracked Core AU
2). Full Ghost AU
3). Good Parent Fenton AU
(Yes, I am setting this up as easy angst:) )
Apologies if this was supposed to be three separate prompts because my mind is going down a 3 in 1 route.
Danny gets tired of protecting Amity. Really tired. Don't get him wrong, he loves protecting people. Obsession or not. It's just that he really misses having a normal life and figured taking a break for a while wouldn't be bad. Especially when his parents offered to take care of things during his little impromptu vacation. So Danny takes a little step back and his parents take over and all goes swimmingly.....until it doesn't.
You see it turns out a ghost's obsession is a little more serious than Danny has given it credit for. In fact, it doesn't take long at all for Danny's obsession with protection to rear its head. He keeps getting these twitches in his body and pangs in his chest. Both seeming to call him to action. To pick up the mantle of being a hero again. But Danny just chalks it up to missing his quip filled fights with his rogues and ignores these feelings. Until he wakes up one night with an unimaginable pain in his chest.
It feels like he's shattering into a million pieces. Like his chest is being forcibly ripped open. Like he's dying. All Danny can do is scream. He screams as a terrible fire-like feeling ignites in his chest and spreads through his body. He screams as his parents rush in and ask him what's wrong. He screams as he's loaded into the spectre speeder and taken to the Far Frozen. He screams until Frostbite injects him with something and the pain dies down to a numb throbbing.
As Danny calms, Frostbite asks him a question: "Have you been fulfilling your obsession recently?" At first, Danny says yes. After all, it's only been a week since he stopped protecting Amity Park. But Frostbite continues to prod until Danny tells the truth.
There's a grave look on Frostbite's face and he informs Danny how important one's obsession is. How it needs to be fulfilled constantly. One can only go about 3 days without fulfilling it. Then Frostbite gives the Fenton's even graver news. Danny's core is cracked.
Typically this is debilitating for a ghost but not the end of the world but Danny is a halfa and they have no way of knowing how it'll affect him. It may be fine. But it might also kill him. Given his vitals in the last hour, Frostbite is leaning towards the latter.
Luckily there is an experimental procedure that's been developed to heal cracked cores but the process has a decent chance at killing off Danny's human side. So Danny is left with two choices: Become a full ghost, or risk having a final death.
Danny's not sure he wants to do that though. To become a full ghost would mean severing his last ties to humanity. He'd have to live in the ghost zone full time to get enough ectoplasm. He'd no longer be able to go to school, get a job, or start a family. He didn't want to do the procedure, but he was dying, so he's parents signed off for him.
The procedure works and Danny is now a full ghost with a now whole again, albeit slightly damaged core. But nothing is the same. He watches the whole move on without him as he continues to fervently protect the innocent. He sees his parents grow old in the blink of an eye and his friends are moving on to better things in a snap. The world continues turning and people come and go but Danny cannot. For he is the constant protector.

Gaslight, Gatekeep, Girlboss, Godhood (DC x DP)
What’s the best way to cover up a secret when Danny can’t lie very well? Make an even more elaborate lie – but one that tugs on the heartstrings! My DC x DP Previous Works: Space Lover Danny, Kingmaker Danny, Service Animal Cujo, Danny yoinks Connor, Ghost Bruce HC + Ghost Jason HC
So, Danny's government just made his existence illegal. Which is rude and very othering and mean. In canon, Danny sort of slides around this but hey, this should be a pretty upsetting incident.
So, Vlad immediately switches his attitude (because your girl loves redeemed Vladdie!), and the two work together for weeks to try and minimise any chances of either of them getting caught. Danny is really feeling the whole “Only two of their kind” when his president declared open season on Danny (I don’t care if this isn’t how laws work in America. I’m not American I don’t care for foreign legal accuracy).
And so, weeks later, they’re actually together in ghost form with Extended Team Phantom (Tucker, Sam, Jazz and Valerie) trying to figure out their best way forward because if Vlad openly opposes these laws as Mayor too publicly the GIW might start looking at him way too closely and everything would unravel. They really can’t pretend that revealing the possibility of a human/ghost hybrid wouldn’t put events around whichever of them hadn’t been caught under a brand-new light.
Valerie is there pretending not to be emotionally invested in her boss’ and Danny’s welfare while reading a book and occasionally leaping in with “Devil’s Advocate” comments of how the Fenton parents and GIW might respond to some of their ideas.
Then the Justice League show up. Now there’s a whole law (please see Navigate any storm for my HC about the JLA’s relationship with the anti-ecto acts) they're obligated to step in. Now, I’ve been pretty uniform with who I’m including in these notfics so for a change, here we get Wonder Woman, Barry Allen’s Flash, Supergirl and I think Jason Todd but dressed up as Batman (Bruce got a booboo on his ickle frontal lobe and is out for the count, Flash and Supergirl are here because I loved their dynamic in all crossovers in the DCTV universe PRE-crisis).
Here we have the perfect storm of well read (Diana and Jason) but kind of gullible and not-as-paranoid as Batman (Flash and Supergirl, Jason is definitely suspicious but would defer to an expert like Wonder Woman in the right scenario).
Diana has shown up ready to fight, Hestia’s lasso glowing in her hands, and Team Phantom is sharp – they’re well trained and smart, but they can’t really compete against superhumans like the JLA. Diana demands that they all surrender and relinquish control over their human sycophants before being taken into custody for violation of the anti-ecto acts and performing actions of war on civilians or whatever other legal stuff she knows about.
The two halfas are floating and green so denying any knowledge would be bad. Vlad steps forward to try and babble on to buy Danny time and he scrambles for an escape. He doesn’t see a way out, but what he does see is the book that Valerie was reading. Percy Jackson. He looks back at Wonder Woman. Back at the book. Back at the Daughter of Zeus.
“Cousin! It’s so great you came to visit us at last!”
That at least gets Wonder Woman to pause. She asks what he’s talking about. Then “Batman” says not to let the ghost confuse them. He’s glaring at the vampiric ghost who seems to be trying to protect the smaller one. Vlad has legs, Danny has his little tail form.
Danny lets out the fakest laugh you’ve ever heard. He explains that ‘of course’ they weren’t ghosts. They were superpowered beings. Superpowered beings are protected by metahuman law.
“Batman” points out that they both look a lot like ghosts. Danny’s mind is scrambling for the right names. He finds them.
“Oh, I am actually the son of Melinoe, goddess of ghosts.” Daughter of Persephone, would make him Diana’s first cousin, once removed. Totally fit in with his power set plus she was a really obscure goddess who wasn’t very well known or documented, and therefore he could make up stuff about his ‘mother’ if he so chose.
“And who’s the vampire?” Barry asks, though Jazz, at least can tell that everyone is way less on-guard.
“I am…” There’s a very long pause. “His Father. Deimos. God of Dread. Son of Aphrodite and Ares!” Danny wants to smack him.
Okay, great, Vlad just ‘yes, and’ed Danny from being a demigod to the both of them being full-blown gods in their own right. Sure.
“Yes! I am Phantom…”
Jazz cuts him off to say that his name was Phántasma [φάντασμα] and of course the locals just anglicized it to Phantom from the original Ancient Greek. Danny agrees and goes onto explain how he was a pretty new god – y’know, comparatively – and these were some nice humans who were all considering becoming his priestesses and priest. Sam ducks in to explain how Phantom – sorry, Phantasma, was the god of ghosts finally relinquishing hold on their forms and surrendering to the afterlife. Something chill and small, nothing that would necessitate him getting involved with human affairs and no abilities that would mean any extra attention from the Justice League.
Diana starts to cry, she thought she was all alone in the world and right here was her cousin. All along she had family in the realm of men, family who had been so excited to meet her yet who had not reached out. Unfortunately, Danny made a mistake. Melinoe isn’t Hades and Persephone’s daughter. She’s Zeus and Persephone’s daughter. Diana connects the dots and in a single instant stops crying.
“A baby brother!” She reaches forward to squish Danny’s face.
Jazz takes great offense at that. Danny is her brother (though she can’t admit that). Danny’s at closest, Diana’s half nephew – but since he’s her half nephew on BOTH sides she’s willing to concede him as her full nephew.  Diana argues that since her Dad is Danny’s grandfather and great-grandfather plus great uncle, their ichor is close enough that he’s basically her full brother. Ironic as Deimos would actually be closer to being her half-brother. Vlad is a creepy old vampire though, not an adorable teen superhero.
Tucker makes up a very elaborate story about being too insecure to reach out before now. He requests Phantasm’s blessing to convey this story to Wonder Woman so that Danny doesn’t have to say anything.
Valerie gets out a notebook to try and map out this fictional family tree while googling all the deities’ names she doesn’t already recognise. It makes her thankful it is only fictional. Phantasma’s family tree looks more like a Christmas wreath. “Batman” is also trying to figure out the most appropriate relationship between Phantasma and Diana in his HUD.
This is when everyone has made their biggest mistake, not paying attention to Vlad for more than a minute. This is a problem he is thrilled to remedy. His chest swells and he starts to prattle on about how hard it’s been for him as a single father since his beloved Melinoe died in the God War (Wonder Woman’s cinematic canon prequel). Of course, Supergirl asks how they survived, and they say some very broad things about sheltering in the afterlife where Ares could not reach them, as gods are most powerful in their own domain.
Disregarding the fact that if this all were true, Danny would be about 100 years older than her, Diana acknowledges that a child without a mother must struggle and offers to help Danny whenever necessary. If he wanted to, he could come live with her in DC and meet all her superhero friends to help guide him.
They’re scrambling for a reason as to why Danny would turn down this offer. Vlad speaks first. He explains that since his mother’s death, Danny has overtaken her domain as the god of all ghosts and, while Phantom is very clearly not a ghost, he couldn’t possibly leave all his subjects. Especially since the stupid GIW keep attacking father and son. Vlad says that honestly, the US government should be glad that they haven’t smote them, the GIW and everyone else who would challenge them.
Diana is horrified. Ghosts are revolting scum, and her two new family members are full-blooded gods who shine with otherworldly power and definitely not the glow of ectoplasm.
Whenever any of the other superheroes (who are more clear-headed at this time) try and ask any probing questions either:
Danny insists that a mere mortal wouldn’t understand the scope of his abilities
Tucker yells at them for daring to question “Phantasma’s” great authority
Sam insists that she would hate to be told the answer, that everything her god does is for her to decode. She asks what they think the symbolism of Danny robbing a bank could be.
She offers to get them in touch with the president and he could make them both special advisors to the GIW – the JLA had only been called in due to how much trouble the agency were having and bringing two gods in would be a quick way to get the entire situation ship shape.
The flash gets in touch with Phantasma’s high priestess next week, he reassures everyone that the ‘misunderstanding’ is all cleared up. Danny’s officially the CEO of the guys in white.
Hope everyone enjoyed. Masterpost coming soon.
((Dan as Hades???))
Here's "Phantasma's" family tree - simplified

The starter profile picture on tumblr can be a square. One might even say, a box. Would Boxy, Lord of the Rectangular, The Box Ghost Himself, be able to intrude upon Technus's domain and seize control of the bot army of Tumblr?
@bonebrokebuddy responding because twin showed this to me and I became enraptured with this ask.
It really depends on what you consider a box, or the abstraction of a box. In my opinion, The Box Ghost would be able to force his control of boxes upon whatever he perceives to be a box.
The real issue is that nearly all bots I find have profilers of random women. So I’d imagine that a good portion of the bots would remain untouched.
But again, we must ask the question, “what would the box ghost consider a box?”
I’d argue personally that Boxy would be able to control not just the blogs of tumblr users or bots with the standard starter profile images, but every ask box that is enabled on the site.
I’d imagine it would open a “hey pee brain, you teleport?” type timeline where tumblr users would at first be confused to this flood of similar messages invading their askbox, then discover that this mysterious ‘virus’ that’s been taking over people’s blogs to use their ask boxes seems to have an actual person behind it and isn’t just a bot.
A massive surge of users would likely try to uncover the mystery behind who is behind it all, getting slowly pieces of information from the person behind the ‘virus’ who’s obsessed with boxes and all things rectangular. Eventually, bits of personal information releases, that the man behind the virus is dead and died in a box related incident (y’all can choose how, I’d imagine there’s multiple hc backstories for boxy), and the town & GZ he lives in. People would praise this absolutely insane ARG (and condemn. To many the ‘Box Ghost’ was a hacker that took over blogs and rendered them unusable for a period of time. rightly so, a good section of the website would dislike Boxy, especially of their blog or mutuals of theirs got affected.) until a user leaked that The Box Ghost was in fact, an actual being sighted often in Amity Park.
Then another user found a website of a government department funded to hunt ghost that listed a ‘box ghost’ as a dangerous ectoentity.
The discoveries from there came rapidly.
- papers by the Drs Fenton were found outlining how ghosts functioned
- posts from people in Amity Park complaining about frequent ghost attacks and drills
- social media that condemned and praised a ghost named “Inviso-Bill” for destroying public property, stealing, saving, and fending off ghosts.
- the mysterious election of the town’s recent mayor
- stories of the Box Ghost’s past encounters with Amity Park citizens
- information of other ghosts that also existed within Amity Park began being revealed and discovered
- attempts at contacting Amity Park citizens to discover more information, often yielding confused responses from those wholly unaware that those asking thought that the ghost attacks their town experienced were apart of an ARG
- the ‘#only in amity park’ tag revealing Loads of information about the town and their ghost troubles
then, an announcement on the GIW website thanking tumblr users for their help in providing information to capture the Box Ghost.
Immediately all asks from Boxy ceased. Panic and horror began to spread. What had they done?

Okay, this is a DP x DC AU idea, but it could also work for a regular DP AU. The main premise is that Danny (Phantom or Fenton but I prefer Fenton) pretends to be magic user.
Normal DP AU idea first-Danny accidentally uses his powers in front of his parents and claims that it’s just magic because he thinks that his parent would be more accepting of him using magic rather than being a ghost. Surprisingly it works, but now they want a scientific explanation for it while Danny is being very defensive about it. They want to respect their son’s wishes, but being able to science magic is very appealing.
Now onto a more dc exclusive idea-there may be a no-meta rule in Gotham, but I’m pretty sure there’s not a no-magic-user rule there. So, in the case of Danny needed to use his powers, he could come up with the excuse that he just has magic.
And since Gotham is cursed to all hell and-I think this is a somewhat popular hc based on my semi-occasional lurking of the batman tag but take that with a bucket of salt-magic users don’t want to touch it with a ten foot pole. So when Danny’s asked, “then why are you here?” he can say “I don’t like dealing with other magic users they all suck.” Idk that’s just the most believable thing I can think off that Danny would actually say as an reason. I’ll be going more into this idea under the cut.
Now the actual reason for why he’s in Gotham can be anything. If he’s on a school trip he can just say “I’m on a school trip” if he uses his powers as Danny Fenton. He could be on the run, whether it be from his own parents, the GIW, Vlad, or something else. Sky’s the limit with this.
If he’s using his powers as Phantom, however, then that excuse probably isn’t going to work since he is obviously glowing and has an echoy voice, not to mention he’s also wearing a hazmat suit and definitely looks like a child who died in a lab accident, yet oddly looks completely untouched by anything that could’ve hurt him. So that wouldn’t work for my idea, so Fake-Magic-User!Danny Fenton.
Now Danny can’t keep this up forever, Batman-and the rest of the batfam-going to see some holes in his scheme(i know it’s not the right word but I can’t think of something better)and would try to get an actual magic user’s opinion. Now let’s get out what I think the five magic users I know of would react to the being asked to check this out-but also take this with a bucket of salt since my knowledge of dc is surface level at best;
Dr. Fate - It would funny if he was just, busy doing who knows what and no one could contact him. I’m pretty sure I’ve seen that in a fic once so :). But the best part would be that he appears once Danny reveals that he’s in fact not a magic user. Dr. Fate would float down from somewhere in the sky and say something along the lines of “You are Daniel [middle name] Fenton, the ghost hero known as Phantom,” I don’t know how he talks exactly, but it’s something like that. Just completely pulls the rug under Danny and just summarizes everything. Danny’s secret identity would’ve also been slightly revealed but Dr. Fate would put a nice little bow on it. Or maybe I have no idea how Dr. Fate acts so I would love for someone who did know more about him to put out their own ideas for this. Same goes with the other magic users I’m going to talk about.
Constantine - He would be like “Eh, he’s not hurting anyone other than himself, it’ll be fine. Come get me when he start tearing fabrics of reality.” Okay, not exactly like that but he would just not want to go to Gotham and the whole situation with Danny. From the Bat’s description, Danny wouldn’t sound worth his time/it would something that the batfam could easily handle. And he would just direct them to Zatanna for magic questions/suggest for them to just ask Zatanna and leave him alone. Speaking of Zatanna-
Zatanna - I have no idea on how she would act. The only reference I have for her is from the YJ cartoon so based on that she might go check it out immediately but Danny would try everything in his power to evade her until she gives up. He would definitely be able to do so unless Zatanna does some dues es machania(can’t spell that) that teleports her right next to Danny. Even her being able to track him he can still run away for days.
Raven - I’m pretty sure she’s a magic user, I don’t see why not. But like with Zatanna, the only reference for Raven is from a cartoon-Teen Titans(not go). So she probably wouldn’t care if Danny wasn’t a threat. Yeah I don’t have much to say I should probably rewatch TT.
Captain Marvel/Shazam - He is a magic user right? Anyhow, I’m pretty sure that he’d be the only one to actually meet Danny. But I don’t think that he would instantly go “yeah this guy’s not a magic user” but would instead be like “huh, this guy’s vibes are weird. maybe he just has weird magic?” But, I also like to imagine that by some twist of fate he’s the first dc character to meet Phantom and would be able to put two and two together(thanks Wisdom of Solomon). That doesn’t automatically mean that Billy would spill the bean though, depending on the impression Danny leaves, he would 100% help him out with his charade.
Basically, Danny would be able to keep this up for a good few months to weeks at best lol depending on how much of a threat he seems to be and how much he would actually use his powers.
But yeah, that’s about all I have on this idea for now. I hope y’all like it as much as I do :)

Akita's treatment of Gyro, its lasting effects on him, and how Gyro rose above it - Part 1
**LONG POST**
Ok, this is the first of a two-part post about one of my favorite parts of ‘Astro B.O.Y.D.’... the dynamic between Gyro and Akita. (The link to Part 2 is at the bottom)
Well, it was heavily implied that Akita was even more cruel to Gyro than Gyro was to Fenton- cold, harsh, demeaning, treating him as utterly worthless (anything he had to say, his value as a scientist and as a person, and all his hard work). He even addressed him as nothing but ‘intern’, just as Gyro always did to Fenton (and it’s my hc that Gyro earned his doctorate before the ‘2-BO disaster’, but Akita only continued to call him ‘intern’; the fact that Boyd called Gyro ‘Dr. Gearloose’ when he was first reunited with him early in the episode indicates this. There was also a graduation picture on his old desk in Akita's old lab, but it’s unclear if that was for his high school diploma or his doctorate, but I believe the latter). In fact, many of us in the fandom believe Akita was not only verbally abusive, but physically abusive.
Point A- When Gyro brings up his old mentor early on in the episode, he is clearly filled with pure loathing in his body language, face, and tone as he goes: “Back when I was just a lowly intern under the infamous… Dr. Akita.”
Tumblr media
Point B- Just look at the way he flinches and freezes up when Akita sharply cuts him off while trying to advocate for '2-BO' about his identity as a real boy ("NO! Now, go prep the monitors for the field test!"):
Tumblr media
Point C- Consider Gyro’s body language and expressions in these two separate scenes when he came face-to-face with Akita after 20 years:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In that first scene, this was the very first time he saw him in so long. And even though Akita had just ordered Boyd to attack them and the city (and up to that part, it was his worst fear that '2-BO would turn evil again), I totally think the shock of suddenly running into Akita again very much triggered him and only added to his anxiety.
And in the second scene, Akita was approaching them in the air on his hovering platform and saying sneeringly, “An intern with his own intern. Now, I’ve seen everything.” Gyro's expression clearly conveyed how especially triggered he felt, having Akita actually speak to him- that old demeaning address of “intern”, that cruel tone he never thought he'd hear again. Also, their respective physical positions- Gyro below and Akita above- was a metaphor for the power balance in their former relationship, with “lowly” Gyro always under him to suffer his abuse.
Tumblr media
Thanks to Huey’s keen observation skills, Gyro spotted Boyd's real core memory, uncovering the truth about his and Boyd’s pasts. I think even before a sense of freedom and relief (and even guilt for how he had viewed and treated Boyd) could set in, he was absolutely overcome with shock, horror, and rage. Not only that he had been betrayed by Akita, but equally- if not more- for Boyd’s sake, who he had blamed along with himself all those years. That poor, innocent child, who Gyro once cared about like a son and whose rights he defended to Akita, was just as much an unsuspecting victim and a pawn as Gyro in Akita’s mad quest for power.
Tumblr media
He immediately called Akita out on what he did- making it all about Boyd instead of himself, which I really loved because it proved his feelings were largely paternal- a parent confronting an injustice done to their child. And what makes this even more interesting is that Gyro immediately went from (I'm paraphrasing here) '2-BO is dangerous, he needs to be destroyed!' to 'How could you do that to him, you monster??'
Tumblr media
(Actual dialogue) "Oh, intern. 2-BO is and always will be a weapon for power, for evil."
Tumblr media
(Actual dialogue) "Not all my inventions are evil!"
Tumblr media
(Actual dialogue) "Some are just WILDLY MISUNDERSTOOD!"
Yeah, Gyro goes frigging feral. With those same words he always used to defend his machines, he unleashes a lifetime of frustration and rage. But again, it’s about more than just himself and a lifetime of wounded pride and failure as an inventor- it’s strictly coming from a place of righteous, paternal fury. And although he views all his machines like his children, Boyd is special because he was his ‘first-born’- his first sentient creation, but not the first to go evil after all- and he was actually made to be like a real child in the first place. Armed with the truth about what Akita did to Boyd, Gyro was speaking specifically on Boyd’s behalf even more than all his ‘failed’ machines combined.

Random question, but what are your favorite things about fendra? And what do you see are the biggest strengths of their relationship, and how do you try to incorporate that into your writing?
To me, both Fenton and Gandra represent that point in life when one is still getting used to being an adult and just trying to make your own mark on the world. Both of which have their own career paths that they have formed and set their eyes on and have their own way pursuing that path. The two have some similarities and differences with each other that I think benefit and build one another up
There are some differences between the two: Fenton is an open and social butterfly while Gandra is someone who is the exact opposite. Fenton is bubbly and optimistic while Gandra is a bit snarkier and pessimistic. Fenton is someone who has a lot of people in his life who will support him while Gandra has Fenton (at first). We don't know much about Gandra's personal life, but I think it's safe to assume that she probably cut her own family off; so when we first meet her Gandra was out on her own while Fenton is living with his mom
Guess I'm just a big fan of opposites attract. Whenever I try to capture that dynamic in my writing, I like to show that neither is bothered by the way the other is. In fact, their personalities have an effect on one another. Fenton's personality helps Gandra open up more while Gandra's personality helps Fenton build more confidence within himself
There are plenty of similarities. The two both have dual identities (scientist as well as superhero/spy), they're both minorities (that I definitely hc as mixed race, but the point is neither are white), and I personally think both are vastly underappreciated in their own fields
I always felt before Fenton met Gandra, he could be treated better by those who were close to him. In fact he was kinda flat-out ignored by people like Gyro and even his own m'ma that I don't blame him for acting out and jumping at the opportunities that came to him. Not to say that both Gyro and Mrs. Cabrera are bad people, it's just they didn't see Fenton the way he needed to be seen because they didn't quite get him and that's normal. It happens, sometimes the people close to you don't quite understand certain aspects of your life that others can. Like sure, he was still an unpaid intern when he started but he was really passionate about his job and ready to show what he had to Gyro and everyone else, but mostly he was ignored. His own m'ma just showed nothing but disinterest cause he was not getting paid as if that's all that mattered to her. I'm sure it didn't but I wouldn't be surprised if Fenton felt that way
And Gandra, she's someone who I think is one of the loneliest characters we've met in DuckTales. She was by herself. The only people that would kind of listen to her are people who would use her skills for their own advantage. I always assumed she was the type of person that would take any job that she can get and then move on with her life when she's done without making any friends
And to me, that's another reason why their relationship makes a lot of sense. There's this understanding between one another about wanting to be heard and seen for their own skills. It's been a while since I watched The Dangerous Chemistry of Gandra Dee! but I recall during their "meet-cute" that when Fenton asked Gandra what she did, there's a brief moment where Gandra looks caught off-guard. Her cocky facade just stopped because she was shocked that someone is taking an actual interest in her life
Another thing I love about these two is that they listen to one another. I loved seeing the two "science together" and when Fenton called Gandra out for her actions that had an effect on her. The two have always had chemistry with each other and even if some people don't like Fendra, they can't deny these two do have a nice friendship
I guess one way I love to incorporate that in my stories is by showing how supportive the two are in their own endeavors. I personally don't want Gandra to become an employee for McDuck because to me that's saying "In the end, all she needed was a corporate job!" when I don't think there was anything wrong with her freelancing and independence, she just needed to be careful and more mindful of her actions. So I love showing the two be supportive of each other's career paths. Both want the best for the other. And heck I work in the medical field (I'm a pharmacy technician nothing too fancy) and I've met pharmacists who are married to other pharmacists and usually their spouses work another job somewhere else
I also LOVE showing Fenton's superhero side and Gandra's spy side, because these two are more than just scientists. In one of my stories I showed they were an effective duo (which we did see a few times in the series) and I still have Gandra be called "Agent Dee" when she's working, why? Because that's her spy name! Not her F.O.W.L. name!!
I'm sorry mini-rant, but I always thought the whole "Oh don't call me Agent Dee. Cause that was my F.O.W.L. name :(" was a bit silly. Cause come on, she's a spy. Not because of F.O.W.L. or Mark Beaks, but that's career path she's going down because she's damn good agent. I mean really, let's say Gyro worked for F.O.W.L. and then left. Do you think he'd want to be stopped being referred to as Dr. Gearloose?! Hell no! He worked hard to get that title and he ain't letting anyone take that from him. but like if that's your headcanon that's fine. My headcanons are just as accurate as yours are
Also I like to imagine Gandra occasionally jokes about how she used to work for F.O.W.L. cause she's someone with a dark sense of humor. Like one of these days she'll be surrounded by the McDuck family during one of their adventure bickerings and Fenton would be like "Whatcha thinking about?" and she'd be like "Oh just how much I miss being in the Lost Library of Alexandria"

So i've seen. An au on this site, forgot who posted it (It had batman in it, I know. Loved that post.) but they gave me inspiration. Listen to me when i say. All halfa trio. All half. Dead. Halfas. Danny, Tucker, and Sam all going into the portal-- HC where it's more of a tunnel than a portal, actually--and each gaining different ghost powers.
The idea on the three of them being halfas is so cool to me. It has so much potential. So much bonding and angst. Random shananagins. More powers to play with, Danny probably having more time to persue his space hobbies. It's a win win.
Y'all can scrap over if they put on matching hazmat suits or not, (with or without the hazmat hoods/covers) but I wanna explain how if the Halfa Trio used masked hazmat suits, it would be halarious.
Like, actual hazmat suits with the hood covering thingies on them. Because it'd be so funny to see 3 ghost vigilantes in matching hazmats. Amity thinking that there's a ghost vigillante, but BOOM. Suddenly three (half) ghost vigillantes. Complete Ghost Busters vibes. They'd steal Fenton Works Ghost Flamethrowers for the asthetic. Ghost busting vaccums, too. Removable hoods on the hazmat suits, because Tucker dislikes the stuffyness, but Sam (and Danny) insists that they do good deads without putting their identities into the spotlight. (In case someone recognises them) Even if it is pretty stuffy. It'd make Danny think of an astronaut suit so he'd obviously be more comfy than the other two. They'd have shared powers like intangibility and flight, but also have personal powers like Sam's plant power. (I'm gonna use this as an excuse to put more space themed Danny in, admitably.)
Oh, also under the cut here is a more detailed bit about this au, from the POV of a GIW agent or something, writing a report to their superior. Idk, whatever y'all wanna imagine.
_______________________________________________
Amity was at war with itself over the first one. It's citizens believing that the different acounts were wrong. When one described their encounter with the ectoplasmic being, a few agreed, while others claimed that they had seen something different. The same suit, but a different being inside. That it sounded more feminen, not masculine. Or that they had short white hair that floated within the suit, not that they had a close shave. The being appeared more often, changing seemingly each time to one of it's three forms. theories that the ghost was a shapeshifter under the suit spread.
But then the second one showed up. And the third. All present at the same time. The citizens were baffled by the sudden change. The conclusion to my findings about the newfound 'hazmat ghost' is that there is actually three different ectoplasmic beings wearing identical hazmat suits, possibly purposely putting citizens under the guise that only one existed.
-THIS DOCUMENT IS UNDER REVISION. UNKNOWN INFORMATION WILL BE MARKED FOR FURTHER INVESTIGATION.-
It's hard to tell which one is which--unless they are in close proximidy to you, (which is highly unadviced) or by studying their vocals; unique eldritch sounding voices, muffled by the suits. But still somehow understandable when they need it to be. To us. Their chirps, trills, and what could only be described as something between growling and rocks being grinded together. Loud, heavy huffs.
While they can speak english to residents, they tend to speak to other ectoplasmic beings in "Ghost Speak". However, they don't verbally talk much to each other. A sort of mental connection could be at play between the three--that or they're obsurdly good at reading body langauge. It wouldn't be surprising, considering how.... close, they act.
"Ghost speak" in this case is unlikely, as while some pronounciations in "Ghost Speak" are several octaves lower and higher than any normal human's hearing range, static and several pronounciations are still heard. No such static or mumbling is heard when they interact in this way. The three entities seem to get most points across despite any worded context.
Attempts at recording their voices have all backfired, the requred technology unable to work properly around them (?).
They each seem to have different powers as well, a personal touch to their afterlife (?). One might come across an 'ecto fight' and place bets on vines cracking out of the ground and attacking the rival ghost, only to guess wrong; to ice spreading violently towords the perpretrator.
Spikes that shine in some places and pale in others; clear, a bright sky blue, a deep azure, or a dull, misty hue that holds the same cold as the void of space, or mercury at night. A poular yet idodic challenge between Amity youth is to touch said ice. Many reports of hospitilized teens with frostbite in the middle of summer have raised a few eyebrows between health officials. It's adviced to snuff out this trend when one comes across it.
The town acknoledges it as 'Phantom's' cyrocinetics, having seen the being with "fluffy (?) hair and pale as hell skin" ([REDACTED] witness report) blast freely on multiple occations. For reasons unknown, he (?) struck the hearts of many children (?) attending the local highschool, Casper High. Witnesses state that he (?) is fequently seen stargazing when Amity's gravity goes topsyturvy. The entity is able to lift objects when concentrating without physically touching them, and can manipulate the speed and direction of said object, seeming to defy Newton's laws. His (?) floating white hair appears to brush into his eyes a lot. Unnaterally pale skin, but a different shade than the hair. The green of his (?) eyes are the color of ectoplasim. The Fentons theorize on his possible obsession about space (?).
'Banshee' is the being which controls vines and various other living and non-living plant species. She (?) was nicknamed after seen loudly advocating against global warming and the removal of trees in Amity Park's playground. Many people fell into a sort of heavily ecouraged state after her (?) speech, racing to plant saplings in the middle of town. A popular misconception is that the being was named so because of her (?) 'ghostly wail', but the other ectoplasmic beings dawning hazmat suits also have shown the ability to retch a hollowing, painful scream. Her's, (?) however, seems to be slightly more powerful due to the 'encouraging' power behind it. She (?) is suspected to keep updated on human political views for unknown reasons (?). Pale skin. She (?) seems to have shortly cut white hair, around a couple inches from her shoulders. Green eyes. Possible obsession on spreading awareness, or plants. The expance of either obsession is unknown, however.
'Poltergeist' is rarely seen, seeming to be more of a support figure behind the scenes. It was noted in one particular scuffle, however, that he (?) had electric based powers. It's assumed that he (?) also has an advantage over tech, simular to 'Technus', an ectoplasmic revnent obsessed with human technology. The two seem to have a special sort of rivalry. Specialists brought in to observe their battles state that they butt heads through many different places physically in the internet, infecting the other's code with different viruses, bugs, and cyber attacks. Several well known games, apps, websites, and forums often fall prey to the duo's crossfire, causing momentary shutdowns. His (?) head is closely shaved, dark skin and a notably wide nose. His (?) eyes are green, same as the other two. Likely a tech obsession.
Ectoblasts, body manipulation, transparency, intangibility, flight, and their ghostly wails are all shared powers between the three ectoplasmic beings, along with the hazmat suits and stolen Fenton Works tech (?). Their blood runs green, ectoplasim in their veins. No other autonomy studies have been done on these particular beings.
It's obvious the relationship between the Fenton family, or the parents, at least, and the paranormal is a spiteful one. Even while wearing the Fenon's appearale, and often spotted with their weaponry. This tends to upset Drs Fentons. The Fenton's theorize that ectoplasmic beings are unable to possess feelings, and form from and by ectoplasim, sometimes apearing more humane than others. The Fenton's hypothesis is quite biased, but it makes our job easier in the long run.
_______________________________________________
Ok ok, so I named Tucker 'Poltergeist' because He and Danny's last names both start with 'F', and how 'P' can sound just like 'F' on certain pronounciations. I thought it would be a neat little comparison. That and it sounds like a name a paranormal person(nerd) would correct someone about all the time if they called it a ghost. I'm a bit hesitant to name Sam 'Banshee', because I know that while Sam can be a bit over enthusiastic about stuff, but it seems a little harsh, maybe? From amity's POV it makes sense, but I'm not sure. Let me know in the comments on Her and Tucker's names, and what you all would name them. I'd love to hear y'all's opinions. (Dani would go by Wraith, I think. That's what the phandom usually nicknames her, right?)
I also have an au with them wearing normal clothes. Basically, they have to do a lot of expirimenting with different clothes and how the colors invert after going ghost, and eventually figure out the right colors to pick for specially made hero suits.
Technically kinda not my au tho cause it was based on this one halfa trio au I saw and loved. (And made a dumb comment on but im going to ignore for my sake.) But if you see their post make sure to spread the love on there too.
Hhhhhhhh too lazy to spell check just gonna send this out now gonna ignore any mistakes throwing this post at y'all like im feeding sharks.
im am rotating them in my brain like they are in a mini microwave. Im sorry it's too late for me to turn. back. Would love to see more of this stuff.
But Idk, let me know in the comments about anything. How you like the au, how you think things would go, add ons.

Proper Characterization in Ships
Does anyone else prefer to keep character's sexualities in-character even if it means that it goes against your preferences?
This is something that I do, personally. Like, I will watch the way a character acts & behaves, & take into account their canon preferences when writing about them.
For instance, I prefer het ships with maybe some yaoi ever once in a while. However, if I can't see a way for me to do that & remain true to the person's character, I won't do it.
I'm gonna use Danny Phantom characters to make my point. For instance, Tucker Foley is straight & you can't make me ship him gay or bi because he just doesn't give me that vibe.
However, Dash Baxter on the other hand, I could possibly see as either closet gay or bi just by what we've seen of his character. I personally prefer to portray him as bisexual heteroromantic, but that's just me.
I don't ship Sam with Paulina ever because they hate each other. They might be bi & I'm willing to stretch my imagination that way, but I can't see Sam as a lesbian because of her obvious attraction to male characters.
I could maybe see Paulina as repressed lesbian, but even if both her & Sam were all-out lesbians, I still would never be able to ship them together because that,to me, would just be such a toxic relationship.
Danny, to me, is straight &, I know that I might get a lot of flack from this, but I at least respect Hartman's part in bringing us Danny Phantom enough to take his word into consideration. Like, I don't see Danny as trans as he's shown shirtless twice, once in Eye For An Eye in a newspaper & once in Urban Jungle, & Hartman's declaration only cemented my own personal opinion. Like, sure, go ahead & hc it all you want. It's your right & I'm not about to take that from you, but the fact is that canon Danny is biomale & that is okay.
I also think that Vlad is technically bisexual but with a preference for women & is also heteroromantic. Also, sapiosexual & an Amazon Chaser.  Hell, maybe he's got some sort of buried psychosexual thing for Jack but rejects it!
I also think that all Fenton males are Amazon Chasers by nature.
Jack, I think is mainly straight, but might have a homoromantic crush on Vlad but doesn't realize it. Like, Vlad is the exception to the rule of Jack being straight.
Maddie is heterosexual, but also sapiosexual & morosexual, so Vlad never stood a chance.
Despite my personal preference for het ships, I will still choose to see a character as whatever they present as in canon even if I don't prefer it. So long as there is enough evidence to convince me of your point-of-view, I will consider it. You have to convince me that your ship works or I'm not gonna be invested in that part of the story.
If a character is straight, nothing anyone can do can convince me otherwise. I might be willing to wiggle around with bi, but not something that is the exact opposite of what they are because I feel like it's disrespectful to the source material. Hell, I'll even believe that the character in your ship is an exception to their personal preference rule provided that the characters in question have enough chemistry & you state that it's a case where it's an exception.
Like, Tucker is straight, but you ship Savant Par. Just acknowledge that Tucker is straight, but say that Danny is the exception to the rule & I'll believe you because they have chemistry. I don’t ship in myself, but I'll be willing to believe it.
Or Dash; maybe he's gay, but he makes an exception for Paulina because they mesh well?
You have to make it clear that the character wouldn't normally be with a person of a certain sex, but that the other half of the ship is the exception to that.
I'm not saying that you should stop shipping the characters you wanna ship. Just be cognizant of the fact that if I don't see the same chemistry that you do between them, then I'm not gonna believe that these 2 were 'always in love' & 'destined to be together.' It might even put me off your entire story if I find it cringe enough. Also, be careful with the 'destined to be together' thing, there are only so many ways that you can write that kinda thing correctly & Twilight didn't do it.
I also don't like it when writers ignore canon relationships & the characters feelings for other characters in favor of trying to make it seem like their preferred ship was always it. It's just lazy writing.
Like, I prefer it when writers go about their stories ship in such a way that it acknowledges the canon, but basically says "they were together or had crushes on each other then, but this is now." To me it makes the story more believable.
Like, say you want to pair Danny with Dash. I don't like the pairing, but if you're gonna do it, don't make it seem like Danny was always gay & always liked Dash when it's obvious that he hated Dash in the show & has had things for Paulina, Valerie, & Sam. It's unrealistic as far as Danny's character is concerned.
Instead, make it more complicated. Maybe, Danny's an ally & learns about Dash's struggle with a homophobic father. Maybe, he offers to go on a date with him to be supportive of his preferences & it snowballs from there.
Just make your ships plausible. It has to make sense from a character standpoint otherwise it'll nag at me all day & the story isn't as satisfying as it could be. There's only so far that my suspension of disbelief is willing to stretch.

some trans!danny headcanons just because
or more like lgbt because this dude's definitely bi you cannot sway my mind. i need to dump these hcs somewhere people.
kind of a long blog i'm sorry.
i think danny realized his stance on gender quite early. probably early years of elementary school or smth. what i'm trying to get to with this is that his classmates could literally not care less and most probably didn't even realize the change. danny just became the standard instead of dani very soon.
jazz helped him most with his transition when he was a tween and helped him come out to their parents some years prior.
i like an idea i read just recently how jack goes "oh, danny-boy sounds great, son!" i love jack. he would definitely be like this.
jazz is definitely also the one who did the research on transitioning. danny knew she would help him with those things and he can't be bothered with them if she's already up for it anyway so he never told her to stop lol.
he probably eventually does some research on his own, though. both because some things are hard to ask/explain and because jazz didn't want to invade his privacy too much, especially as they got older.
the first time they go out to buy "boys' clothes" danny was so excited he probably throws all applicable aisles upside down ngl. they get told off for it by some store clerks later but they humor the kids all the way anyway. it's just what they have to say according to the rules.
when dash finds out, he will threatens to "stuff you into a locker just like i do fenton if you misgender him". it works really well and dash stays the only one to stuff him into lockers and hang him to flagpoles, just because "he's a loser".
very little changes between their dynamic which danny is honestly grateful for. although he could've gone without the bullying, but it's just whatever. however, down the line danny does notice that dash will be more careful with him and rarely has his hands near his chest.
literally every ghost understands him. even the most violent and evil of ghosts will beat up people who dare misgender him.
danny insists to both dash and ghosts that he can definitely handle himself though. but both threats already keep people enough at bay so he really doesn't have to anyway.
that, and amity park's small. there's very few people who had to be intimidated at all.
after years of being a half ghost and getting more used to and knowledgeable on ghost culture and practices, he'd probably reconsider his gender identity. this because i firmly believe most ghosts don't have a perception of gender. no one judges based on physical appearance considering there's so many ways people can die resulting in vastly different ghostly appearances.
that, and c'mon. they're dead. gender is the least of their afterlife concerns.
he'll still feel more masculine than anything, but the way no other ghosts ever judge him based on, well, literally anything a human would he starts feeling a bit of detachment from the concept of gender in general.
sooo what im trying to say is, demiboy danny? yes, demiboy danny all the way.
he might vibe with he/they because of this realization hmm.
looking back on when dash threatens people for danny's sake, he realizes that's probably when he found out he has a thing for other dudes too. something about him being so caring struck his heartstrings, much to his dismay. not like he'll ever admit this to anyone willingly.
i think jazz is definitely also sapphic. all girls are sapphic, they definitely give that vibe. anyway, the fenton siblings will often talk about their (celebrity) crushes together during their puberty years when hormones run amock.
while jazz is the one who does the research, sam probably helps him with all binder related stuff. she teaches him how to bind safely and reminds him at school to not wear it for too long after school or else it'll be dangerous.
idk why but i feel like sam would have some experience or at least knowledge on binders.
i think he's very confident in his identity and with himself. he may care about what people think of him sometimes, but his gender identity is not one of the things he cares about what others' opinions are.
he probably goes on T when he start's high school? he becomes more of a beanpole than he already was.
"you think you have it hard? im trans, gay and most of all DEAD. the universe didn't even let me pick a struggle." (/s) - is probably something he would say.
edit: i forgot this but i think danielle will decide to go by elle instead of dani to avoid verbal confusion but also because she knows that's what danny went by in the past. she respects this part of him a lot and decided against going by dani partially because of that.

While I was slightly disappointed by the end of DT that it lost a bit of found family angle by making Webby Scrooge's daughter, I still disagree with people from the fandom who bash the series entirely now and say it's completely lost for a few reasons (if it's your opinion, it's fine, I just disagree with it).
First of all, found family is still there. Webby was already part of the family, this was just a cherry on top for her. But it's heavily present with both the main cast, with characters such as LP or Beakley or the supporting cast, with the Sabrewings, Drake and Gos etc.
However, one thing that I haven't seen discussed much is how non-traditional a lot of family dynamics are. I'm mostly referring to parental figure-child dynamics here.
Yes, most of the main characters are blood-related but we don't have a single traditional, "perfect", nuclear family from the 50s, with mum, dad, two kids and a dog. Not that there is anything wrong with that but it's very nice to see a bit of diversity there, especially as someone who grew up in a non-traditional family dynamic. I still live and have always lived with my mum and my maternal grandparents. I don't have any contact with my dad. My uncle and grandpa both play an equally important paternal role in my life and my cousin is like a sister to me. Often times when you see families like mine on TV it's because they are broken, it's supposed to be tragic. Ok, things are not perfect, we do have struggles, but I've had enough of non-traditional families being presented as this horrible, horrible thing that will leave you a traumatized husk forever.
And then DuckTales came.
We have Donald, an uncle who is raising three boys as a single parent. And while there is an element of tragedy to this, it's not because he is a single parent raising kids, it's because he is a single parent raising kids with no support because his family, which was kind of non-traditional, to begin with, fell apart due to miscommunication.
Then we have Beakley, a grandma, who we later find is adoptive, raising her granddaughter.
Scrooge is implied to have raised Della and Donald for a certain portion of his life.
Della is a single mum and at no point does the show go "Oh, you need a father in your son's life!" (Yes, Donald is the father figure, but the show doesn't try to give Della a male love interest because "boys need a dad".)
Gosalyn is another kid raised by her grandparent and is later taken in by Drake, and, while the show never stated it they do have a bit of father-daughter dynamic, during what little screen time they've got. Not to mention that LP is basically the other dad. Ok, that is a bit of the general fandom HC, but LP is like "We're a family" through the entire LGD so...yeah, it's in text too!
Sabrewings are probably the closest to the "two parents, two kids" situation but they are two men, which I'm not saying is less "normal" than a hetero couple, but is still, unfortunately, considered less traditional. And they are a couple who adopted a teenager, who fully sees them as parents!
Ok, Daisy and Donald adopting May and June also fit the typical nuclear family bill, but that's essentially like a couple adopting one of their relatives who are without parents.
Of course, Gyro as a single parent to Boyd can't be left out! And a single dad while we're at it. (Ok, again, they kind of dropped the ball and they are not on screen much but from the bits that are there, it's not hard to extrapolate this.)
Fenton is raised by a single mother who also has a career and is very supportive of her son.
There might be more, but I think I covered the main characters.
I might be looking too deep into this, I'm probably looking too deep into this, but it was really nice to see it on screen. And see it represented casually! Like you see the McDuck extended clan/social circle as one big, weird, extended family but it's part of their charm. It's not an issue.
Ok, I have no idea how to conclude this post so...
TLDR:
As a person from a somewhat non-traditional family, I really like that, between the mix of blood-related and found family the show focuses on, they have a lot of non-traditional, non-nuclear families.

Ghost Prince Danny who has been adopted by Pariah Dark, known tyrant of the Infinite Realms that has hated and tried to wage war with humanity for eons before being put to sleep.
Then, there is Raven. Daughter of Trigon.
Danny was just going through some kind of royalty training, that he didn't want nor cared for, when they dropped a bomb on him.
Apparently, Amity Park and the rest of the world he knew exists in some kind of weird pocket dimension that was surrounded by the Infinity Realms.
It went like this:
Infinite Realms > Unworld > His world > Unworld > Infinite Realms > basically everything else.
Which was pretty shocking information to be told straight up.
Anywho, he then decided to go and visit his father (Pariah Dark not Jack Fenton) because it was a way to get out of his studies, he's very thankful that Clockwork stepped in and allowed him to go.
Only before reversing his clock and changing him into a kid, of course, and Danny was like "Why???" and Clockwork refused to explain further than his signature calm, all-knowing smile.
So, he arrives in the dimension and then decides to withhold his visit for now because he wants to explore. He finds this dimension to be very different to his, there's magic for one thing, superheroes and villains for another, and actual proof of aliens.
Safe to say, he's gonna be withholding that visit for a while to explore and check out the differences.
Then he gets summoned, and uh, he didn't know that could happen but it did. Then some heroes pull up, fight the cultists, and then look at him a bit weirdly because they were expecting the Ghost King aka Pariah Dark.
He's his son.
Which, apparently, makes them even more apprehensive than they were a while ago. Something about being the son of a tyrant who was known for enslaving worlds or whatever.
Then, he meets Raven.
Meeting her was pretty.... awkward? He thinks? Cause it seemed like she wanted to say something but didn't know how to say it?
Then, while he was sitting around (because apparently, he was being kept an eye on by the Teen Titans) by himself just zoning out, she sat down next to him, and started to talk about her own father and how he was also a known tyrant and enslaver of worlds, and she was apparently the key to the destruction of this world and stuff.
But she didn't have to be something like that, that she could choose her own fate and be good, and so could Danny.
Danny, is, well. Stunned. Then started crying.
He then realized that his it's been a while since he blinked, and that's probably why he's crying. But Raven doesn't know that and assumed she caused this and is trying to get him to calm down and Danny is already calm he swears-
Looking like someone under 10 probably didn't help, neither was trying to wipe his tears away and claim that he was fine but hey! He was trying his best alright-
(Meanwhile, the Ghost tyrant and enslaving of worlds in question: Farmer with quite the ghostly (and kingly) secret. Yes this was an au that was mixed in with Farmer Pariah, because I like that au and this hc is one of my favorites for Pariah, along with him having an intense love for horses :D)

Ah. I think we have different ideas of how cores work. My logic is that cores can either be hot, cold, or general. Specific elements fall under one of those categories; like fire & lightning elements fall under the category of hot cores, while ice & water elements fall under that of cold cores. I figure that Vortex, himself, would have the almost unique to himself split core, being both hot & cold, to simulate warm & cold fronts. Dan would've been another example of a split core because of how he came into existence. Split cores are known for erratic behavior & sometimes even split personalities. Anyway, at the same time, a ghost's core temperature & element are also an entirely separate thing from Obsessions. Sure, Obsessions can have an influence on them, but only to a certain extent. Like, Obsessions are only one aspect of a ghost's core. At least, that's how I think anyway. Like, I follow the ideas that most powers are based on Obsession & Danny's Obsession is protecting people, so most of the powers he obtains are because of that. However, his other powers are based on his core element, such as his Ghost Sense being an extention of his ice element & I hc originates from a hidden skill of the Fenton lineage. Such as how Jack seems to sometimes notice when a ghost passes behind him or is able to fight off possession to a degree.
Also, I read somewhere that part of the reason why Danny has an ice element is related to his desire to 'preserve life' & I just sort of liked that? If core elements were only based on Obsession, then Danny wouldn't have things like the ghost stingers.
neat. i suppose the hot or cold physics would also be based on they type of ectoplasm the core is made out of? it's a theory that can stand on it's own certainly.
honestly i don't actually have strong feelings about core or ghost physics. the extent of what i know is based on observation of canon (which is inconsistent) and what i need for a given fic. i'm down to make up more or add and subtract elements depending on what the fic needs. it's all up in the air and flexible to me.
as for the family/genetic influence. we definitely see that the family has a degree of sensitivity to ghosts. jack in particular. and we know that a few generations back the family were still wrapped in the paranormal, in this case witch hunting rather than ghost hunting. there's probably something there, i wouldn't necessarily say it's a core type but it is some sort of psychic ability that could influence the likelihood of becoming a ghost.
i also would say that any offensive powers danny has are still for defending the town and fighting ghosts off. offense can be used to protect. so it doesn't negate an obsession based core. there's plenty of wiggle room though. like i said. go with your heart. - Hestia

Thanks to there being something of a resurrection of the Phandom on my dash, I’d like to share an AU concept I’ve come up with.
I call it “Fenton’s Inferno.
The rest will be below the read more
Danny died mere days before the Portal accident was supposed to half-kill him.
This has set all sorts of timelines into disarray.
Maddie Fenton, reeling from her son’s death throws herself into her work double-checking everything and finding the ‘On/Off’ switch was INSIDE the portal so she made sure it was unplugged flicked it on and once they’d done more of their due diligence, the Fentons fired up the Portal.
Shortly after, they use their Specter Speeder to go into the zone and find the Ghost Zone is nothing like they’d imagined.
As Jack is blathering about the data, Maddie’s eye is caught by strange doors in front of strange pockets.
One in particular seems to be a door that looks uncannily like the one to their ghost zone and it’s in front of what looks like Cape Canaveral crossed with the Moon. They enter it after a moment.
There, with a sort of blue-white skin tone, white hair, and glowing green eyes floating in front of a space telescope was Danny.
“Mom? Dad!?”
His retaining of his sentience and memories was a shock.
“Is it really you, Dan-o?” Jack asked.
“In the…ectoplasm,” Danny said awkwardly.
“What is this?”
“It’s my lair! All Ghosts have them, or so my mentor says!”
“Mentor?”
“Yeah, like a ghost that guides you through being dead?”
“But you weren’t supposed to die that day,” Maddie said suddnely. And in her heart she somehow knew that to be true.
“I’m not even the youngest ghost here,” Danny said rubbing the back of his neck.
“Aren’t you mad you’re dead?” Jack asked.
“Disappointed maybe? There was so much I wanted to do but I’m ok. It wasn’t your fault,” Danny said.
“Then come back with us to the human world.”
“Can’t do that. Ghosts belong in the ghost zone,” Danny said.
“Has anyone ever tried to fix death?” Maddie asked.
“Way too many and it doesn’t end up well,” Danny said.
He paused and floated over to a corner of the lair and came back with something.
“My…mentor ghost. He…he doesn’t think I should have died either. Take this. I have a spare.”
It was a cog-shaped medallion with “CW” on it.
“Talk to him.”
——————— ———————
Him turned out to be a powerful entity called Clockwork.  He agrees with Maddie.
Danny should not be dead.(fully)
Danny’s premature full death has royally screwed up the timelines and mostly in negative manners.
“Though, should we bring him back? He seemed happy in that lair,” Maddie said.
“But he wasn’t. Maddie, he was only tying to make us feel better so we could move on.”
“That’s precisely what he was doing. Your son has a remarkable capacity for helping others.”
“How can we bring him back? You’re the master of all time? Can’t we time travel back to when he died?”
“Afraid not in this case. A couple of near-sighted eyes are keeping too close a watch on me to simply allow humans through.”
“Then what can we do?”
“There is a way to restore your son’s human existence, something only a human can do. Follow me.”
———————————— —————————
Clockwork leads Maddie and Jack to a part of the Ghostzone that feels both empty yet filled with…something
“This is as far as I can go. Within you’ll face many trials. Life is not cheap. To restore your son, you will need to pay a hefty price.”
“Name any price and I’ll pay it!” Jack said.
“Even your own life?”
“If that’s all it takes, you can have it!”
“Good. Keep that passion. You’re going to need it and this: good luck.”
——————————— ———————
From here the idea is Jack and Maddie have to face different trials based on their own lives, fears, and ambitions all while passing lower and lower into this strange dungeon like building.
Unfortunately for them, they’ve had a stalker: Skulker.
He reports them to Vlad who first barges into Danny’s lair to meet “the little badger”
He’s shocked that Danny’s lair is so complex when Danny’s only been a ghost for a month.
It’s my personal HC that Danny would have always been a powerful ghost and Full Ghost!Danny’s powers are celestial based and he’d, eventually, be strong enough to challenge Pariah Dark but the Observants don’t care that Vlad’s actions would cause wide-scale death and destruction in the human world by the time Full Ghost! Danny had grown powerful enough to take on the Ghost King and take his place.
As far as the observants are concerned, Clockwork merely needs to groom Danny into a good future Ghost King and keep him safe during Pariah’s rampage.
So Vlad tries schmoozing up to Danny realizing this ghost would eventually be powerful and offers him protection.
Danny declines and taps his medallion.
Vlad can’t exactly top Clockwork in power level and he knows it.
So he finds the Descent with Skulker’s help
Vlad being a halfa can, of course, enter but Skulker cannot.
But Vlad’s ghost powers are on the fritz.
So now it’s a race between the Fentons and Vlad to get to the bottom and bring Danny back.
Vlad, so he can have Maddie and Danny in his debt.
The Fentons because they love their son
——————— —————
That, so far, is all I have for this AU.
BTW the reason Jack and Maddie aren’t trying to rip ghosts apart  “Molecule by molecule” is Grief. They’re not their usual selves.

Summary: Danny had known the rules— that being beaten would lead to transfer of the crown, instructed to him by their ominous guardians— but he hadn’t exactly considered all the implications of that.
For: @ghost-strawberry
Prompt: (Danny is ghost king hc) Danny loses a fight with Sam and the title of ghost king is transferred to her, despite Sam not being a ghost.
Words: 3,344
“Haha!” Sam barked triumphantly, standing over her defeated enemy in a display of dominance while stomping a scary combat boot, “I won.”
Danny let out nothing but a low keening sound, slumping on the Nasty Burger table and leaving his arm in its defeated position.
“Darn,” Tucker chimed in, “I thought that with all the ghost fighting and workouts you’ve been doing, Sam finally would stop being the reigning arm wrestling champ.” He paused, melodramatically draping a hand over his forehead and intoning, “alas.”
Danny only repeated the same mournful noise, all the sentiment of my arm is going to bruise and Sam will never let this go packed into a drawn out moan.
Before Danny could construct his complaints into something that took the form of language, there was a great burst of green fire that ensconced their cheap, plastic table. In the time it took to flinch, the ghostly flames had already washed over the group— and… done… nothing?
No, that wasn’t right— it hadn’t hurt them, to be more accurate. Their table, and the tile around it, looked like someone had carved a circle into the floor, taken everything within that circle (read: the trio, several overly greasy foodstuffs, and three shakes) and dropped it right into the Ghost Zone, if the swirling green abyss was anything to go by.
(Back in the human realm, the patrons of the Nasty Burger were left with their own overly greasy foodstuffs visible in their mouths held ajar as they stared at the smoldering circle that once held three teens and cheap fast food chain restaurant seating— horribly cheap plastic booths on a table that maybe had the suggestion of meeting bare-minimum sanitary requirements. A lone green flame died out, and acrid smoke wafted away. Same shit every day, a tired cashier thought).
Before them: the Coroners. Dark-colored ghosts with a litany of dark colors with glowing green antlers that twisted into the suggestion of the shape of a crown, and gnarled hands that all had the same mark of a skull on each knuckle. Between the name and the appearance, they were very ominous, to say the least.
Danny recognized them from the last time he met them: his own coronation.
Sam and Tucker, who were not there for that ritual because it occured after the fight with Pariah, were just as confused and scared as Danny was the first time. “It’s ok!” he yelped at his friends who were readying their on-hand Fenton weaponry. “I know them. They’re the Coroners.”
Sam shot him a look that said that is anything but encouraging, and Danny winced.
“They… do… the coron-ing,” Danny said slowly, because he didn’t know how else to phrase it. “Like, the monarchy ruler stuff.”
“Down with the monarchy,” Sam intoned almost instinctively, but still pocketed the lipstick laser once again, settling down and taking a more casual sip of her strawberry shake.
Tucker, meanwhile, just kept his shaky hands locked around the box of fries, determinedly not looking at the wraith-like creatures that had deer skulls sticking out of dark garb.
Sam paused in her slurping, considering the Coroner’s job in her mind more thoroughly. “I guess it makes sense, ‘cuz the Ghost Zone doesn’t have a pope to do it,” she admitted.
Tucker relaxed, and snorted. “Ghost pope.” The idea (mixed with the special breed of hysterical comedy that comes with  stress) elicited great humor.
Fear abandoned, now they just looked confused. Danny was too— because, “why are you here?” He frowned down at himself. “Are you, uh, rebelling? Or do you have an important message? Or…?”
That was one-third of the Coroner’s jobs: rebellion. Or, more accurately, inciting rebellion. To understand, one must understand two-thirds of their job: the second third was that someone had to pass down the Ring of Rage and Crown of Fire. After the defeat of Parkah, the ancient ghosts were very grateful that Danny had taken it from Pariah Dark after his reign of tyranny, given that he had destroyed them… because of the first third of their job. See, the Coroners were also supposed to act as some representative electoral body of ghost-kind in deciding who passed a somewhat okay-ish ruler, and if that didn’t work out, they usually incited rebellion against said tyrant, or inevitably did so when a once kind ruler became glutted with greed and violence.
So Pariah trapped them, which (admittedly) was a rather sensible plan, and (also admittedly) a major design flaw in the ring and the crown. After all, given the requirement for the initial rights to ring and crown were to battle and defeat its previous user to gain access (it could be peacefully passed, but that option had never happened), and really, nothing of the Coroner’s judgement would make an impact outside of someone saying no— that is to say, the ring and crown wouldn’t just poof. Thus, it seemed reasonable to assume that the battler would continue, well, battling for that power.
The last third of their job is significantly less exciting— as Danny put it: messaging. It simply was to act as ghostly servants; knights, mailmen, whatever the King and the ghosts that needed the King may require. Danny largely told them to use their own discretion in solving conflicts, because he was just one teen barely keeping his grades above Cs, and then left them to it.
So yes, Danny was kind of worried that somehow, such a dramatic summons would be some kind of ominous warning on the way he was being a king— which, to be fair, he was barely being a king at all— due to the aforementioned second-third of their job.
The largest one with the most elaborately twisted antlers pointed a long, bony finger at Sam. Its voice, which sounded both grand and incredibly spooky, boomed thusly: “this human has bested you in battle. Thusly, according to the sacred laws of the Ring of Rage and the Crown of Fire, she shall be bequeathed the title of ghostly monarch. Ye, Danny Phantom, halfa, who have bested Pariah Dark, have lost to Sam Manson, human, and cede your title as ruler.”
In a circle, the thirteen wraiths whispered, “and the cycle continues.” It was murmured slightly out of sync, but it gave less of an impression of untidiness or lack of professionalism, and more of an ominous feeling, like there were many more voices than just thirteen.
Danny was slightly less freaked out than Sam and Tucker by it, given they had said a similar thing when he was coronated, but with far less spooky fanfare, and more normal, excited fanfare. Mostly, Danng was spooked more by the suddenness of the thing, and the prospect of it.
In the hands of the largest one that was clearly the leader, the Ring of Rage and the Crown of Fire appeared in a dramatic swooshing of green flame.
Danny’s eyes widened. “She.” He paused, because he couldn’t really argue with that. It was— technically, sort of— a battle. And in the Ghost Zone, might made right and all that. Still.
Sam and Tucker stared, jaws agape. Between all the new info and now this revelation, their brains essentially bluescreened.
Danny, even though he was previously initiated, wasn’t in a much better state— all he managed to get out aloud was an incredulous, “it was arm wrestling?”
One of the smaller wraiths, its crown of horns barely nubs, drifted forwards to their Nasty Burger island that was adrift in the Ghost Zone, and asked in its voice of crackling dead leaves, “is this the manner in which you were beaten?”
Sam, herself, recovered from the mental “404” page, and her first reaction was to release a huge guffaw of laughter.
Danny slid forwards onto the table, thoroughly spent between embarrassment and confusion. All he articulated was a very, very long groan.
“May we, uh,” Danny said slowly, turning towards the head wraith and looking at the glowing points set in the skull’s sockets, “have a moment to discuss?”
Tucker made a vague noise between worry and agreement.
“So long as the queen wishes,” it bowed to her, deeply reverent.
“Wait,” Sam ordered, smile growing on her face. “If I were queen,” she said slowly, “would I be able to get rid of this monarchy?”
“Tis not a monarchy, my lady,” one of the thirteen said, antler crown bobbing.
The whole table of teens processed this for a moment.
Tucker burst into incredulity first: “you literally called her a monarch just a few seconds ago!”
“A title, nothing more,” a Coroner corrected. “Nay, you do not hold much sway over them, rather, it is they who hold sway over you, sending message to help resolve conflicts, be they fullscale fights or quarrels.”
Danny groaned, suppressed memories bubbling up: the many times the Coroners had come to him with arguments regarding ghost territories, many attempting to use Danny as a weapon or a diplomat or bodyguard or— so on.
Thus far, a handful of months into his kinghood, Danny had stopped one “fullscale fight” that bordered on a war. (...This was also related to territory, however).
Either way, that was a long way to say: the statement that it was just a title held up. The ring and crown didn’t actually really get him any political leeway with the ghosts— it was more of an… intimidation tactic that some ghosts fled from, because the ring and the crown were no more than power boosters.
Asides from that, all he got were updates on all the troubles in the Zone that supposedly needed him (most of which actually didn’t). The Ghost Zone was a lawless place, so a title of king was not worth much outside of sheer power display.
For the most part, the things had just served to place a target on his back, specifically, because any lost battle would mean they were his no more, and that the power would be passed to the victor.
Sam, seemingly on the same line of thought as he, hummed, “would ghosts know I was the… Ghost Queen?” At declaring herself monarch (even if it was apparently in name only), her face did a bit of an involuntary, complicated twisting motion.
Danny picked himself up from his pathetic slump, and aimed an intrigued-but-confused look at Sam.
Tucker caught on a bit faster— “so if the ghosts think Danny’s still the king, they fight him— but there’s no risk involved in him losing.”
Sam nodded, smiling a little sappily.
Danny just made a mushy “aw,” sound, seeming to consider it.
It was hard to read the expressions of the ghosts that surrounded the trio’s private, floating chunk of the Nasty Burger establishment, because said ghosts wore skulls… but they seemed baffled, though reluctantly accepting. It was all in the tilt of their heads and the pause of their voice as they said, “great Queen, whatever thou shall ask of us.”
Sam nodded again, then paused. Her face cracked into an eager grin— a dangerous grin. “Do I get cool powers from this?”
After receiving the crown, Danny had gotten a boost in his own powers; nothing new, just everything that was there was doubled. Double the size, the intensity, the spookiness, the everything. Needless to say, being goth and being active in fights as she was, Sam was excited for ghost powers. She was momentarily lost in visions of a sweeping gothic outfit, one of pure black with smokey edges, decked out in spikes, etcetera— in other words, “edgy.”
Tuck, meanwhile, had a far more practical askance: “hold on. She’s a human, right?”
Of course, it wouldn’t be the first instance of humans vaguely receiving or being influenced by ghost powers in some way; Undergrowth had done it, there had been that time with ghost mosquitos, and the one with that Egyptian staff, and the whole incident with the dragon-rage amulet… not to mention the halfas themselves, obviously. Still, it was not all that hope-inspiring to consider that all of them save for the halfas were essentially some degree of possession (or, at the least, something infectious and negative).
Aloud, Tucker continued to contemplate. “It’s not exactly reassuring to call them ghost powers, with uh, death. Involved.” It was a choppy sentence, but it got the point across; Danny was a special case, but even a half death wasn’t exactly desirable.
The glowing eyes of the coroners seemed to wink in amusement, insomuch as points of light could display emotion. “Ghost powers , says the queen.”
“Ghost powers,” the others echo— not ominous this time, because they are chortling, seeming to be one step away from elbowing one another.
Sam flushes a bit. “What’s so funny about that?” she grunts, offended.
The coroners all bow deeply. “We meant no offense,” speaks one from the crowd, and it is followed by a wave of nodding before any of the trio can tell which one was even talking. “We simply find hilarity on your naivete.”
“Elaborate,” she ordered with extremely thin patience.
“We were hasty in calling you the monarch yet,” the largest explained in its ancient, crackling voice, slow and thoughtful— annoyingly so.
Sam pinches her nose, understanding with perfect clarity why Danny had complained dealing with these pretentious, cryptic weirdos. “Elaborate,” she commanded once again.
“You are not the monarch yet, because you have not died,” it informed with great solemnity.
The Nasty Burger chunk floated in stunned silence as the trio absorbed that.
“Die?!” Tucker yelled, banging the table, upsetting both the fries and the silence.
“You have a fascinating and naive way of phrasing it, but perhaps ghost powers is not so far from the truth,” one of the antlered creatures mused, not really addressing the obvious tension or concern. “For indeed, the ring and the crown do power the spiritual energy—“
“They’re just ghost batteries!” Danny interrupted, baffled and surprised.
Sam herself then interrupted the interruption with a scoff, creating a horrible stack of domino-ing interruptions. “All this pizazz over just a power source that I can’t even use?”
“You are incapable of using it as you are now,” a coroner pointed out. Something in all their eyes glinted ominously, and their antlers seemed to shine with ethereal light. “You are disconnected while living,” one said. As a group, they began encircling the private bit of Nasty Burger, wraith-like cloaks brushing against disgusting tile that was glossy with grease of burgers long past. “But we will fix that,” the coroners intoned as one.
Danny finally took some initiative, fluidly erupting from his seat and transforming into Phantom in a singular motion. It felt just a tad ridiculous to he hovering over a Nasty Burger table that was ridiculously out of place in the abyssal green of the Ghost Zone, but that only graced his mind for a moment. Instead, the primary thought was one he voiced aloud: “are you going to kill her?” Danny may have been a C student, but regarding threats he was not slow on the uptake— he’d been in enough fights to get a good instinct. For their part, Tuck and Sam took it too— partially cowering behind Danny while brandishing their own Fenton brand lasers.
The dark spirits jolted to a stop, and tilting their many skull-heads quizzically— a nonverbal askance of why fight? All their minds were whirring, and the first theory from the group of coroners was this: “are you hungry for this power once again?” The group around chortled, a veritable cacophony like many dead leaves being kicked around by whistling wind. It was a taunt, clearly. “This is the natural order of things, halfa. You cannot deny it. You have lost. She has won, won spiritual power, power we take from you.” An enormous pressure of dread emanated from the threatening beings, seeming to push at Danny’s chest— it threw him off kilter in the emotional sense, but also the literal given that he was midair. “If you desire it returned to you, then beat her as she did you, as is the rites of the Ring and the Crown.”
“I’m more upset she’s gonna die!” Danny barked, a little sarcastic and a lot tense, gesticulating wildly as though that could free his limbs from the lead of supernatural fear. As he did so, his hands became enveloped in his own charging ectoplasm— like a snowball dragged through snow to gather more icy slush to its mass, so too did Danny draw the pure ectoplasm from his surroundings.
“I would like not to die,” Sam agreed quickly.
“If it counts, I’m thirding that motion,” Tucker put in as well.
The coroners pulled back, seemingly startled. “You… do not want this power. But you do not get to choose. ” Their antlers still held an ominous and powerful glow, which spoke to the fact that they had already made their choice in regards to the whole death thing.
Sam drew in a breath, preparing her “hell no” tirade— when Danny exploded into motion, wrapping a gloved hand around Sam’s hand that didn’t have a lipstick laser in it, and propped them sloppily on the Nasty Burger table. He held his elbow on the table and their chained hands up. Before she could process what on earth he was doing, he painfully but desperately slammed their linked hands down against the table.
Everyone was staring at Danny, ghosts and humans alike. Silence reigned— utterly baffled, confused silence. It was though a massive, unspoken huh? has slammed down onto the area.
“There,” he said, reedy desperation coloring his voice. “I won the arm wrestle match.”
Sam cottoned on pretty quickly— “oh no,” she groaned, “Danny, you beat me. You won .”
Tucker shot her a look— the emphasis was a bit hammy— but said nothing, only watched hopefully as the coroners seemed to enter something of a loading state as they processed the turn of events.
Then, startlingly, they quickly and fluidly bowed simultaneously. “Long live our shortest reigning queen,” they said with great solemnity, “and welcome back, our halfa King. Long may he reign.”
Needless to say, the trio’s sigh of relief was about unparalleled.
“If I am to reign,” Danny said slowly, recovering but still trying to sound poncy and official (rather than yell at them as he desired), “may we, in the future… discredit joking competitions?” It was delicately phrased, awkward pauses as he deliberately chose fancy phrasing, but it at least got the point across (even if Danny could swear that despite having skull faces and only pinpricks of light for eyes, the coroners were making faces at him).
The coroners stares at each other, cloaks rustling but no sound passing between them.
“Yes,” the largest said suddenly, “such a request is reasonable, for a half-human teenager.” With exasperation, it added: “you already were an exceptional case in your ruling.”
“And in general,” a smaller one piped up snarkily from the back, to be shushed by what was likely a superior.
“Right,” Danny clapped his hands together and huffed, relieved but still tense.
“Now, how do we get out of here…?” Tucker questioned, trailing off and looking at the abyss. He traced his fingers on the table, then his face lit up— “uh, can I keep this? It’s authentic Nasty Burger merch, technically, and it’s nor like they’re really gonna need it when it’s been diverged from this reality, let alone their store—“
Before he could continue, there was a snap from one of the coroner’s gnarled hands, and a great bout of green flames engulfed said hunk of Nasty Burger— for the second time that day.
When a very stunned Danny Fenton, Sam Manson, Tucker Foley, and smoldering, partially aflame  with emerald Nasty Burger chunk snapped back into place within the mortal realm, a certain cashier stared balefully at the fused tiles and remnant ghost flame, thought same shit every day once again, and promptly asked: “do you want more to order?”
And thus, the status quo was restored, for better or for worse.

Headcanon #015
Danny Fenton is trans (ftm).
He came out to his parents around 12 years old. At first they where confused, not full understanding what Trans ment. But they accepted their son and educated themselves on the matter.
He came out to his friends around the same time. Tucker also didn't fully understand, and asked alot of questions.
"So do we still call you Danielle?"
"No, thats my old name. My new name is Daniel, Danny for short."
"So are you going to get surgery?"
"Maybe in the future."
Etc.
Sam understood the situation, also feeling not quite right in her skin. She began wearing gothic clothes, inspired by her best friend, and felt more at ease.
Jazz instantly began reading up on the subject in order to support her little brother. She even bought him his first binder (skin color, so he could wear his signature white shirts). Through this she discovered her love of psychology and dreamed of becoming a therapist.
At the start of the new school year: Danny and his family had filled out the paperwork to use the mens bathroom, changed his name legally, and bought him an all new wardrobe to fill comfortable in.
His peers where a mixed bag. Some supported him, others didn't, the majority where indifferent about it. Surprisingly, his bullies didn't care. They asked a few questions and that was it.
Dash: So your a boy now?
Danny: Umm... yes and no. It's more complicated than that.
Dash: But you want to be called Danny and use the men's room?
Danny fully execting Dash to make fun of him: ...yes.
Dash: Okay... Ive got a cousin who used to be a boy. We're not allowed to talk to them or that side though. My pops says that he's a freak. But he doesn't seem like one. Your a freak... not because of the gender thing, you where one before this and your still one now. So don't expect to be treated any less.
True to his word Dash still bullied Danny, but added some physical violence as well since "he was a boy and could take it."
When he got his powers he felt at ease in his ghost form. He looked more masculine, like how he felt on the inside. He knew that his family couldn't afford hormones or surgery, so Phantom became his little escape
(Danny's parents where security saving money so that they could help their son transition fully. They wanted to surprise him for his 18th birthday)
Author Notes:
I am not transgender so I apologize if I got some things wrong. I am genderqueer and gay, so I used some things from my own experience (like Dash's cousin).
I do love this HC, Ive been rewatching Danny Phantom to refresh myself before reading 5 Years Later. I'm keeping this HC in mind and it does make a lota since (at lest to me)
