This art is based on a sneak peek from For Want of a Nail, an as yet unposted fic by the commissioner, @notoftheskaal.
Yang was vaguely aware of the door creaking open, but couldn’t bring herself to care with the warm weight of Blake on top of her, hands in her hair, lips on hers, tongue—
“Excuse me?! On my bed?! I know Yang’s precarious bunk would probably collapse under both of you, but what’s wrong with defiling your own bed, Blake? Off! Now!
They broke the kiss at the sound of Weiss’s outraged screech. Yang looked to where Weiss stood pointing at them, face flushed almost tomato red and eyes narrowed. She looked rather ridiculous, and even more so seen upside down through Yang’s eyes, still flat on her back under Blake. Ruby stood behind Weiss, her eyes covered with a hand.
Yang blinked as Weiss’s words sunk in. About them being on her bed. But they weren’t? “Your—? But—” Yang looked around and her words stumbled to a halt. Books didn’t support the bunk overhead. Ropes did.
Oh. This wasn’t Blake’s bed. Come to think of it, they’d both been a bit distracted when Blake backed her towards the bunks, liplocked.
Weiss swatted them with her schoolwork binder. “Get off!”
They scrambled up.
“Sorry.” Yang rubbed at the back of her neck. It felt as hot as her own face. “Uh, if it helps, we didn’t defile it.”
“That’s a matter of opinion!” Weiss’s words hissed between clenched teeth.
“Clothes stayed on! We just kissed, nothing more.” Yang didn’t dare look at Blake. She was afraid she’d burst out laughing if she met Blake’s eyes, and that might be fatal even when Weiss didn’t have Myrtenaster to hand.
“With. Tongue!” Weiss jabbed Yang with an accusatory finger with each word. “That was no innocent kiss!”
“Not listening,” Ruby muttered, covering her ears. “Not listening. Nope. Not hearing anything mentally scarring.”
“Think of the children! Ruby had to see that too!”
“Uh, I’m not a child, and I clapped a hand over my eyes before I saw that.”
“Shut up, you said you weren’t listening!” Weiss elbowed Ruby.
“Ow, Yang’s right, you sharpen those!”
“Do not tell me your sister’s right about anything when she’s been an indecent trespasser!”
“It was an honest mistake, and we’re very sorry, it won’t happen again,” Blake said, voice smooth as her skin.
Weiss levelled her accusing finger at Blake. “You were smirking when you saw me, Blake Belladonna!”
“I was smiling. Anyone would smile after a kiss like that.”
“Smiling? That was no innocent smile. You looked like—” Weiss cut herself off, eyes flicking upwards, to the level of Blake’s uncovered cat ears. Weiss abruptly looked rather uncomfortable, as if she’d been about to say something she thought inappropriate to use for a cat faunus.
‘Like the cat that got the cream, huh? Or something like it.’ Yang risked a glance at Blake. There was no smirk on her face now, just her usual inscrutable mask. At least until she met Yang’s eyes and smiled at her.
Yang’s blush deepened and her heart skipped a beat. ‘You’ve got it bad, Xiao Long. Doomed, that’s what you are.’

Building a Full House
/== Master Post List ==/
Yang watched as Pyrrha Nikos seemed to have lost her mind completely. Ten minutes ago she dragged off Jaune, and now she was back in the cafeteria sneaking up on Weiss and Ruby.
Yang: I'm conflicted.
Watches as Pyrrha get's closer...
Blake: Why?
Yang: I feel like I should save Rubes... but...
Blake: But?
Pyrrha gets right behind Ruby and Weiss as they are arguing about whether cookies are an appropriate lunch.
Ruby / Weiss: EEP! / HEH!
Yang: I'm scared to... do you know what P-Money is up to?
Blake: No idea. Why don't you ask her?
Yang bites her lip as she watches Ruby and Weiss struggle in vain as Pyrrha holds them under her arms, and starts walking to the exit.
Yang: Yeah, I guess I should. P-Money!
Pyrrha stops, and turns now holding an exhausted Weiss and Ruby under each arm.
Pyrrha: Yang?
Yang: Hey... um... can I ask... what you're doing?
Pyrrha: I'm just building a Full house.
Yang: A full house?
Pyrrha: Yes, like the hand in poker... I'm just a little stumped... at the moment.
Yang: I don't get it.
Pyrrha: You do know what a full house is right?
Yang: Yeah, three of a kind and two of a kind.
Pyrrha: SO that is what I am building... I'm just not sure if I should go 2 blonds & 3 red-heads, or 3 blonds and 2 red-heads.
Yang: Huh? What?
Blake: Is that why you grabbed Jaune earlier?
Pyrrha: Exactly.
Blake: Okay. Why not grab Sun. He's blond, and that would also give you two guys and three girls.
Pyrrha: (menacing tone) Jaune's babies only.
Blake: Oh... okay... um... Yang's blond. How about her?
Yang: Hey!
Pyrrha leans forward to study Yang for a moment, before glancing at Blake and then leaning back.
Pyrrha: Thank you but no.
Yang: Hey! What am I not good enough?
Pyrrha: No, you are plenty good enough... but your Blake's Blond... so you are not "on the market"
Yang: Blake's Blond?
Pyrrha: I must be going, babies do not make themselves. If you have any suggestions, please let me know.
Yang: Blake's Blond?

Hello Hollowing, my prompt is this: After team RWBY finds themselves in the Ever After, they are met by a small child happily waving and guiding them towards the Tree instead of a certain Cheshire cat. Soon they were guided to the tree, with a mansion carved within. With children that looked like recoloured versions of their guide happily waving toward RWBY. They meet Neo, and Jaune, the small older woman clealry pregnant, along with Mint, and Trivia, and a woman similar to neo called CC... basically I want Jaune to explain why he has a harem of Neos with constant flashbacks of each neo having babymaking sex with him. With CC requires everyone else to overcome her instability. Blame Fatally Obsessed. I do not know why I make statements instead of questions.
Ah, okay.
This is way less terrible than I thought it would be.
---------------------------------------------------
This world is weird. Like, super weird. No, but like, SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUPER weird! Like, think of the weirdest thing you could think of, and it wouldn't be half as weird as what this was.
Okay, maybe not THAT weird, but it was weirder than Remnant, at least. Game pieces moved around, walking and talking like all the faunus and humans did back home. Not only that, but there were also talking animals, too! So yeah, this fairy tale world was weird.
But not as weird as what happened next.
"Hey! Over here!"
Team RWBY looked behind them and found a little girl waving at them. She had short, blonde hair, pale skin, and, as they got closer, blue eyes. Her dress was pink with a black sash wrapped around her belly.
"Um, hi?" Ruby awkwardly waved.
"Are you a Huntress?"
The question shocked the group. This was the first person they met in the Ever After, and she KNEW what a huntress is! Who was she?
"Um, ye-"
"Nilly!" A girl with long, brown hair ran up to the other girl and grabbed her wrist. Her dress was white with a pink sash wrapped around her belly, similar to the other girl. "We're not supposed to talk to strangers!"
"It's okay, Gats!" Nilly replied. "They don't look bad!"
"Don't you remember what Dad said?" Gats wagged her finger. "Looks can be decieving!"
"Um," Ruby stuttered, "we're not bad. Uh, y'know, if you wanted our opinion."
"She's right." Weiss added. "We're just trying to get to the tree."
"Oh! That's easy!" Nilly yanked her hand away. "Daddy can take you!"
"Daddy?" Yang asked.
"Mhm!" Nilly nodded. "Daddy is, like the best person to take you to the tree! He was up there before, y'know?"
"Nilly!" Gats chided. "They're bad guys!"
"Nuh-uh!"
"Yuh-huh!"
"Nuh-uh!"
"Yuh-huh!"
As the girls bickered, Team RWBY gave each other glances. This was very uncomfortable.
"Were we..." Ruby looked to her sister. "This bad?"
"Eh...." Yang shrugged. "Kinda?"
"Well, none of my siblings were like this." Weiss said with an unamused look.
"Pretty sure you're not as close with your siblings as Ruby and Yang were." Blake added. "It kind of makes me wonder what it's like."
"It's not great."
Suddenly, in the center of Team RWBY, stood a small girl with pink hair done in a ponytail, wearing a black dress with a white sash. She was so quiet, none of them heard her! As she walked to the other girls, they noticed she had a pink tail sway from under her dress.
"Nilla. Gats." She addressed the girls. "Mother's waiting for us." At this, the two girls stopped bickering. The leader looked at Team RWBY. "You come, too."
The little girl in the pink dress then walked forward, followed closely by the other two. Following the trio was Team RWBY. From a distance, a pair of eyes watched the seven girls curiously.
---------------------------------------------------
Neo sipped her tea, enjoying the quiet of the house. Her girls were out playing while her husband had left to run errands. They would all return before supper, as they always did. She looked down, admiring the one change to her otherwise routine life she'd made in the Ever After.
Every morning, she woke up, had breakfast, woke up her daughters, and then spent the rest of the day planning dinner. Tonight's dinner would be stewed vegetables.
"Ugh... Couldn't we have something with more meat?"
Neo cast a glare at the whining voice. The voice belonged to another Neo, though the voice was not quite her own. Instead, an annoying creature had taken residence in her body, wearing it like a coat, doing with it as they pleased.
"Oh, don't give me that look." The being replied with a roll of their neon-blue eyes. "Even Trivia is sick and tired of it!"
The woman in question, hanging clothes to dry outside, flinched. She shivered as Neo quirked a brow at her former self. She hid herself behind a wet sheet.
"Ow!" Mint, a disguise of herself used to infiltrate Beacon during the Vytal Festival with Cinder, flicked the being in Neo's ear. "Oh, I was not being mean to her!"
Neo hefted herself to her feet, hands to her back for support. Soon, it would be her turn to bring life into this world. She couldn't help but wonder what her child would look like. What mother didn't?
"Oh, and before you set the table," the being said, "we're going to have guests tonight. Four of them."
Neo eyed the being, unsure of what they meant. For all their schemes and plots, the creature wasn't a liar and often made use of their ability to see and hear things outside their home. If there were guests coming to visit, then there would be guests coming to visit. Neo would need more vegetables, and hands to pick said vegetables.
"Speak of the Grimm, as you say."
Neo looked to the door, and a tiny knock came from the other side. She opened the door, finding eight familiar faces.
"Mother." Greeted Berry with stoicism.
"Mommy!" Squealed Vanilla joyfully.
"Mom?" Called Gateau in concern.
Neo glared past her daughters to the four huntresses behind them. They swiftly reached for their weapons.
"Neopolitan?!" Litte Red exclaimed in her surprise.
"Of course she'd be here!" The Ice Queen growled.
"Is she pregnant?" The Kitty Cat asked.
"Guess she found someone dumb enough to knock her up." The Blonde Bimbo rudely remarked.
"Now that's just rude." All eyes focused on the timbre voice in the distance. A figure in rusted armor dismounted a large jackalope, named Juniper, and removed his helmet. Beneath was a ruggedly handsome bearded face with tired, blue eyes. He gave a chuckle. "Rude girls don't get dessert."

Yang's Birthday Spankings:
Before they knew it, 2pm rang the clocks, followed by a very insisted knocking on the door. Seems like Yang's little sign worked like a charm!
However, instead of a new playmate the duo is greeted by a very authoritarian looking Glynda Goodwitch, whilst several Beacon ladies can be seen scrambling around a corner to get away from the professor.
For what reason could the whip-wielding instructor possibly be there, one wonders.
Ok, I admit that I haven't worked much on Yang's version, (a lot of things in my life and lack of motivation), but before it's Ruby's birthday I'll do what I can. So send your "Ask" about Yang's birthday spankings. --------------------
Yang is on all fours, face on the pillow. Moaning without meaning as Jaune grabs her waist and fucks her non-stop.
Yang: Oh yeah!~💕 That's how I like it! Get in there nice and deep!!~💕
KNOCK KNOCK!
A loud knock was heard at the door.
Yang: *Stops* What the fuck? *She glances at her clock on the table* Oh shit, it's already 2pm.
Jaune: I'm going to drink some water while you answer the door. Maybe I'll go to the bathroom too.
Yang: Ok
The two separate and go to their respective tasks. Yang excitedly goes to the door and opens it energetically.
Yang: Welcome ladies to the breeding se- PROF. GOODWITCH!!!
She screams. Using the door, she covers her own naked body, try to find an excuse, but nothing came to mind.
Yang: W-What brings you here, ma'am?
Glynda: I was doing my rounds when suddenly I saw a group of girls in front of your door. When I did, they all ran out and I found this note. *She says showing the note Yang put on her door*
Yang: Whut?! I do not know nothing about that.
She says as she angrily sees the other girls watching from the safety of their own rooms, denying any involvement with said note.
Yang: Anyways, since I have nothing to do with that. I'm going to close the door now.
Glynda: *Stop her* Hold it right there. Where is he?
Yang: I really don't know what you are talking about.
Glynda: Do you think I'm stupid? You and your team have done obscene things in this great academy, but I never had evidence to punish you girls, until now.
Yang: What?!
Glynda: I discovered that when you girls do this it is one of your birthdays. And today is your birthday, Miss Xiao-long. *Gets closer*
Yang: *Moves back* U-Um...
Glynda: *She enters the room and closes the door* I also know that Jaune is involved in all of this. So where is he?
Jaune: *Comes out of the bathroom still naked* What's going on? Prof. Goodwitch!!!
He says in panic, as he grabs a piece of clothing from the floor to cover his member.
Glynda: And there you are, the person who started all this.
She begins to walk towards him slowly while Jaune walks away from her without losing eye contact.
Jaune: I swear, this wasn't my idea. B-Blake was the one who seduced me first and then Weiss…
For walking without seeing where you are going. Jaune's back came to rest against the wall behind him with no where to go.
Jaune: Please don't hurt me.
Glynda: Jaune, you have two options. You and Team RWBY will be grounded by taking missions with Prof. Port for a month or…
Jaune: O-Or...
Glynda's slams her hand on the wall near his head.
Glynda: Or you let me be part of the celebration.
Jaune: W-Well, it's Yang's birthday so…
Glynda and Jaune look at Yang, waiting for an answer.
Yang: Fuck yes!~💕 *She says with a big smile and a nose bleeding*
Moments later...
Glynda is naked hugging Jaune while he is lifting her under her legs and fucking her hard.
Glynda: Fuuuuucccckkkk!!!💕 It feels sooo good!!~💕
Yang: *Sitting on her bed watching the show while touching herself* Fuck~💕 best birthday ever.
Blake: *Watching from the ceiling and taking notes for her fanfic* Indeed~💕

Alright new prompt idea:
Everyone's weapons suddenly became sentient and gained the ability to talk.
(We'll start with one and work our way around.)
“Be careful where you’re swinging me!”
Ruby stopped for a moment as she heard the voice ring out from next to her, eyes glancing to try to find who yelled out to her. It didnt sound like Weiss’s or Penny’s, a bit more like Yang’s, but… she knew that couldnt be right since Yang was back with Blake and Jaune at the village. Though, there wasnt anyone else around her to talk to her.
“Ruby, watch out!”
Ruby took a quick step back as Penny blasted a grimm that rushed at her, heart pounding as she realized she had almost let her guard down. “T-thanks Penny.”
Penny rushed to Ruby’s side. “Your heart is beating rapidly. Are you okay?”
“I’m fine,” Ruby answered back with a small smile, aware that Penny had scanned her before coming over. “You dont need to worry.”
“And its not like you to get distracted in a fight,” Weiss said as she let go of the glyph that created an earthen wall around them. “Are you sure you’re okay?”
Ruby nodded and folded up her scythe once she was sure the grimm were taking care of. “I thought I heard someone yell out to me.”
Penny looked a bit confused. “But there is no one else here with us.”
“I know.” Ruby put her scythe onto her back and sighed. “Maybe my communicator picked up someone else’s frequency. I doubt we’re the only huntresses who were sent all the way out here in Anima.”
Weiss shrugged and sheathed her rapier. “In that case, it might be best for us to use Penny’s scroll as a relay. That way we can make sure its only us that we hear.”
“I’d rather keep everything the way it is in case Yang needs to reach us.” Ruby pulled out her scroll and removed one of the markers from a map. “Looks like we have two more areas to check for grimm. Then we can return to the village for the night and leave in the morning.”
Penny smiled. “Lead the way.”
Ruby nodded and started to make her way through the forest, eyes peeled as kept an eye out for other grimm that they might’ve missed. Though, her mind was still distracted by whoever yelled out to her. Penny was right, there wasnt anyone else with them, but she could’ve sworn the voice came from right next to her. She turned off her communicator for a moment to let it reboot as she walked deeper into the forest, watching as the sunlight almost seemed to disappear when leaves got thicker.
“The next time we fight grimm, make sure not to hit the plating on them,” the voice spoke up again behind Ruby. “I know I can cut through it, but it still hurts to do that.”
Ruby paused in her step and readied her scythe, looking behind her. “Who’s there?”
“Did you hear something again?” Penny asked.
“I-I thought I did,” Ruby said as she lowered her scythe. “It sounded like someone spoke to me right behind me.”
The voice spoke again, but this time quieter and sounded more like it was in Ruby’s head. “Because I was on your back. But now that I’m in your hands, can you please check my blade? I’m pretty sure its dented from our last fight.”
Ruby almost felt her heart stop as she looked around for where the voice came from again. Someone had to have been messing with her. Fox had telepathy that let him speak to others in their heads, so it wouldnt be too far-fetched to think that another huntsman would have a semblance similar to his. Though, as she looked down at her scythe, she swore she saw a reflection that wasnt her own in the metal of the blade.
“You see how my blade is dented, right? Can you please fix that?”
“Who are you?”
“Crescent Rose,” the voice answered, its tone starting to become a bit sarcastic. “You were the one to give me that name.”
“Crescent Rose.” Ruby whispered under her breath, still staring at her scythe. Normally, she’d been thrilled to find out her weapon could talk, but right now, it seemed like a nightmare. Another voice to listen to, one that she couldnt tell was real or not. “I’ll check your blade after we have a moment to rest. Until then, I have to keep fighting.”
“Fine,” Crescent Rose answered.
“You have been staring at your weapon for a while,” Penny said. “Are you sure you are okay?”
Ruby jumped a bit as she felt Penny’s hand on her shoulder, quickly folding up her weapon and placing it on her back. “Of course I’m fine!” she lied. “Never felt better! We’re almost to the next recon point, so I think its time for us to start moving forward!”
Weiss put up a glyph. “Oh no you dont.”
Ruby stopped just before hitting the glyph, turning around to face Penny and Weiss. “Look, what’s going on with me doesnt matter right now. What does is finishing our mission to make sure this new settlement  is able to survive. If we dont then it’ll get overrun and-” she paused for a moment as she watched Weiss unsheathe her sword and look at it. “Weiss? Are you listening?”
“Y-yeah, I’m listening,” Weiss said as she sheathed her rapier. “You’re right. We need to finish this mission before we worry about anything else.”
Ruby nodded slowly, not sure why Weiss had a sudden change of heart but not really willing to argue with it. Afterall, it meant that they could start moving forward for the moment. Though, the way Weiss glanced at her rapier looked the same way she did. The look of confusion on her face, the sudden change in how she acted, all familiar to what she just experienced.
“There’s been a change in plans,” Yang’s voice said over the communicator. “I need you, Weiss, and Penny back at the village.”
“What for?” Ruby asked. “We’re still tracking down the last of the grimm-”
“It’ll be easier to explain once you get back. I’m not sure how much you’d believe.”
“What about the grimm? If we dont take care of them, they’ll come back again.”
“That’ll be a fight we’ll take care of when it happens.”
“Understood,” Ruby said with a sigh. “Looks like we’re going back to the village.”
Penny paused for a moment as she looked out towards the direction they had been heading. “Are you sure that is a good idea?”
“No, but… Yang said it was important.” Ruby sighed and started walking to the village again. “Worst case, the grimm attack again and we’ll be ready-”
“Grimm to your left,” Crescent Rose interrupted.
Ruby stopped and looked to her left, watching as a few of the bushes started to shake as a pack of beowolves jumped out at them. She quickly grabbed her scythe, unfolded it and smirked as she sliced at the closest grimm. Maybe having a talking weapon wasnt going to be too awful.

Goodnight Kiss in Vacuo
Yang: Okay, you can do this. You've already kissed and made out before. You can give her a little peck on the cheek before bed. (Takes a deep breath and goes to the common area)
Blake: Yang, there you are. I've been looking everywhere for you. Do you remember my parents from Haven?
Ghira: Hello, Ms. Xiao Long.
Kali: Hello, dear!
Yang: (head starts to implode as her lungs stop working) P-P-Parents? Parents! Mr. and Mrs. Belladonna, Sir, Ma'am! Yes! I think I remember them from Haven.
Blake: (hides her laughter behind her hand) I was just telling them about you. (Blushes and twirls her hair around her finger) Or.... I suppose I should say us.
Yang: (smiling dopily at Blake’s laugh like a lovestruck idiot) I love you. 💛🧡 (Eyes snap open as she panics) Uh! Us! Yes! Because we are a thing! Girlfriends! We're... girlfriends....
Blake: (clapping her hand over her mouth to avoid laughing)
Ghira: (blinking blankly in moderate surprise)
Kali: (sparkly eyed as she plasters her hands to her cheeks)
Yang: (blushing) I.... Uh.... I was just... uh.... gonna go to bed. (Stiffly shuffles over to Blake) G-Goodnight. (Kisses her cheek before turning around like a toy soldier and marching back to her room)
Blake: (ears flicking with excitement as she blushes with surprised eyes and tenderly touches the spot on her cheek where Yang kissed her)
Ghira & Kali: (exchange glances) So, when's the wedding?

LET ADD MORE TRAUMA TO CAT VS DOG cause I thought this and so you must suffer with me after getting back Jaune due to CC trauma spilled something on his shirt and takes it off and what does everyone see? A bunch of claw scars all over his body and RWBY sees it was not just psychologically abusive but also very much physically.
Been looking for an excuse to post this for a while, so hope y’all like ;)
———
The Punderstorm is a bad time all around
Jaune tells RW about Alyx and Lewis while not mentioning a thing about CC. Even less than they’re mentioned in the original. To the point where it’s obvious CC was there during the events, Jaune is just deliberately avoiding talking about them
Weiss was already suspicious after the cat said “You didn’t tell your friends about us?” Because what is THAT supposed to mean?! But she gets even more sus after CC appears in the Punderstorm and Juane seems torn between standing between CC and RW, and hiding behind his friends.
Especially when the timeline diverges slightly, with CC still leaving but promising to be back to see their Sunshine.
And when Jaune flinches, Weiss sees. Because it’s the same way her mom would flinch every time Jacques moved too quickly.
They exit the storm, and Jaune is too shaken to even tease Blake and Yang about getting together. He doesn’t even notice when Weiss pulls Blake aside to talk, shooting him NOT subtle glances the whole time. All he can hear is CC’s voice, laughing in his mind.
While Jaune retreats into his mind to have his breakdown in peace, Weiss talks to the newly smitten bees about everything she saw. And they might be smitten, but BOTH of them are alert immediately when Weiss describes how Jaune acted around CC.
Personal experience is a bitch.
CC is a different flavor of toxic, sure. Less angry, more saccharine, but dangerous all the same.
When Weiss brings up that he flinched like her mother does, Yang’s mind drifts unbidden to the streaks of white in Jaune’s hair and the gray in his once-blue eyes. Blake was only with Adam for a few years. What could’ve happened to her if she was with him for DECADES with no hope of truly escaping?
Unfortunately they don’t have to imagine, because it seems like Jaune is a living specimen.
He takes them to his village, his home ever since getting poisoned by Alyx. And Jaune, shaken to his core and seconds from a panic attack, pulls a classic Jaune move and puts his fracturing psyche aside because Ruby Needs Crescent Rose.
Let it never be said that he has healthy coping mechanisms.
Weiss is more concerned because the Punderstorm clearly put them in situations that they needed to confront. It sped up what were inevitable meetings. It brought Yang and Blake together, and for some reason it brought Jaune and the cat together.
They have to talk to him. Ruby is getting some well earned sleep, so she’s not going to be any help. Yang and Blake share an unspoken conversation in that way that never fails to get on Weiss’s nerves, and Yang reluctantly agrees to let the two of them handle it.
When they step through the doorway, the first thing they see is his armor, rusted and corroding in a neat pile by the wall. Jaune is just sitting on his bed, on top of the paper covers, stock still and staring at his hands that are white-knuckling his knees. His hair is short, cropped even closer to his skull than it was before and streaked with so much white that there’s barely any blonde left.
Not for the first time BLake wonders if he’s been here long enough for age to do that to him, or if the stress of this fairy tale land was enough.
With the armor removed, they can see thick bands of white scarring up and down his arms, across his neck, curling away under the sleeves of his tattered Pumpkin Pete hoodie. The logo is all but gone. The scars look like claw marks, too narrow to be from the Jabberwalker.
Possessive.
Claiming.
A cat’s scratching post turned human.
Weiss wants to scream, but more than anything she wants to take Myrtenaster and give that fucking cat a taste of their own medicine. But Blake just walks forward, being careful to keep her movements clear and her footsteps loud. She sits on the bed and Jaune still doesn’t move, doesn’t even look at her.
Weiss thinks it would’ve been better if he’d flinched. This still, small, silent Jaune is worse than any Grimm. That’s not her friend.
Blake is rubbing circles into Jaune’s back, and Weiss feels like an idiot because she’s just STANDING there. She’s never been good at gentle comfort, hard truths are more her go to. But Jaune looks like if he heard a hard truth right now he might shatter like so much glass. A broken children’s doll with scars as cracks in the porcelain of his goosebump-covered skin.
Eventually Blake catches her eyes and her gaze softens. She nods her head to Jaune’s other side, and that’s all the invitation Weiss needs. All the while Blake keeps rubbing slow circles into Jaune’s back.
Now that she’s closer, Weiss can see that he isn’t frozen still, he’s trembling. Trembling in a way she hasn’t seen since nearly carrying her to the portal exit, shattered sword in one hand. Since charging at a Maiden with a death wish in his heart. Since stumbling back to the docks in Glynda’s wake, tear tracks making silverly lines through the dirt on his face and too-familiar lipstick smeared on his mouth.
“You know, Adam used to call me Darling,” Blake says quietly.
Weiss’s breath catches at the forbidden name, but Blake’s voice is steady. Even keeping vigil with their near comatose friend, she can’t help the curl of pride at how far her teammate has come.
“It’s such a simple thing, but I still can’t bear to be called that,” Blake continues, voice quiet and steady. “It’s a terrible thing to be trapped like that. Nobody deserves to be trapped with… with someone you hate and love and fear all at the same time.”
And finally Jaune’s shell cracks, a sob like a desperate gasp for air escaping his lips.
The trembling turns to tremors which turn to shaking sobs which turn to all out wails as Jaune crumbles like he’s as fragile as the paper covers they all sit on.

Guardian Angels - Part 1
Written with permission from @danurso
Jaune and Weiss had been feeling unhappy. It may have had something to do with the heat of the Vecchian desert, but they both were sure there was more to it than that.
It had been years since they first met - not many, truth be told - but now nearly into their mid-twenties, the two wished they could have started out differently.
For themselves.
For the people they were before.
And for everyone else too.
But their chief regrets lay in how they first treated each other.
Jaune wished he hadn't been such a pest to Weiss, while she wished she hadn’t been so mean to him. The two had made up and moved on since meeting again in Mistral; it only happened a few times at Beacon after all, but still they wished to see it done.
Now, thanks to Ozpin, they finally had a way, and preparations were made. It took some time, but at last, everything was ready. Unfortunately, due to their personal timelines, they could only go one after the other.
Jaune insisted he go first.
Weiss was content with that. She had a lot to think about before trying this herself. More importantly, if his time shepherding children in Mantle was anything to go by, Jaune was a natural with them.
‐---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Their friends were a little concerned.
"Uhm." Ruby raised her hand, "Are you sure this is safe?"
"Of course we are." Flounced Weiss, "Oscar said that Ozpin said he's tried this before, so we ought to be fine."
"Yeah, but he also said nothing he did worked out for him." Blake pointed out.
Weiss had to admit, that couldn't be ignored.
"We're not just doing this for ourselves, though." Countered Jaune, "We're doing this for each other."
Blake and Yang exchanged glances.
Now, why did that sound familiar?
"Besides," He continued, "We've got timers set on our scrolls. That way, we'll know when we can't stick around in the past anymore."
"We just want you guys to come back." Nora didn't look very happy,
"It was pretty bad the last time." Added Ren.
Neither Jaune nor Team RWBY needed to be reminded. It had been a painful experience for Oscar, Nora, Ren, and Emerald when they believed their friends had gotten stuck in the Central Location. Although it hadn't been long for them, it had still been more than enough.
The relief they felt when they saw their friends enter the academy was enormous, and they all promised never to leave anyone behind again.
"Okay, fine, but," Ventured Jaune, "This time is way safer."
"He's right." Agreed Weiss, "Ozma isn't bound by the same rules as Ambrosius. So he can make a few changes if he needs to."
"That's also true." Conceded Yang, "But Ambrosius was from a God-made relic, so he can do a lot more. Ozma only has his magic powers, and he told us it was dwindling back at Haven."
"Oh, fine!" Weiss nearly threw her arms up, "So our plan is a little flawed, when have any of us ever made a perfect one anyways?"
"Every strategy has risks." Nodded Jaune, "And I find these ones acceptable. Besides, I'm going first."
Everyone stared at him.
"And that's a good thing how?" Demanded Nora,
"If it doesn't work, we'll know." Jaune shrugged as if it was the most obvious thing.
"Well, now I definitely don't want you to freaking go!" And she threw her arms around him,
"Oh, come on!" Laughed Jaune, "It's just a joke-"
Nora slapped the back of Jaune's head before he could finish.
"Ow." Jaune winced, "Ow-ow-ow-ow-ow-ow-ow-ow!"
"Not funny, dude." She had grabbed his face and was now stretching his cheeks open and shut.
Jaune blubbered as Nora kept on flapping his cheeks. The noise it made had Yang, Emerald, and even Blake giggling uncontrollably.
"Alright Nora," Ren soothed her, "that's enough."
And he carefully pried Nora's hands away from Jaune's face.
"Now then, if that's everything?" Weiss wrung her hands, ready to carry out the new mission,
"You're really set on this, aren't you?" Ozpin asked through Oscar,
"I'm afraid so." Nodded Weiss, "Perhaps, if we do this right, it'll make for a better future on Remnant."
"But you won't get to see it." Ozpin didn't much like where this was going, "Time travel doesn't work the way you'd prefer."
"That's as well may be," agreed Weiss, "but we'll at least do something. Maybe we'll even right a few wrongs we never got to before Beacon. Perhaps even well before then, for that matter."
Ozpin wasn't convinced, but there was little else he could do. So he simply let it go.
"Then, if you're sure." He sounded very solemn,
"We are." Chorused Jaune and Weiss.
Ozpin nodded and headed to a private room.
"We'll be back soon." Promised Jaune,
"I hope you're being honest." Ruby poked him in the chest plate, "Agh-"
"He is." Insisted Weiss, "We'll both be back very soon."
And quickly hugging their friends, Jaune and Weiss headed into the private room with Oscar. When they walked in, a great, bright swirling of light stopped them in their tracks.
"That's bigger than I thought it'd be." Remarked Weiss,
"Phrasing." Grunted Ozpin,
"Welp, here I go." Jaune cracked his neck, "Trip of my life."
"Be careful there." Weiss gently took his hand,
"You know it." Jaune gave her that classic smile of his.
Weiss's heart swelled, and she squeezed his hand a little tighter. Jaune smiled at her, and when she let go, he headed into the portal.
"See you soon." He gave her a two-fingered salute.
Weiss simply waved him goodbye and turned back to the desk she saw in the corner. She pulled out a pen and a little notebook and started to write.
She had to think of what she should say when her turn came.
‐---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Fourteen years ago . . .
‐---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
She had just turned ten years old.
Big tears dripped from her face and dotted the open rug space between her feet. She had come to a stop in front of the door to her father's study.
Father was angry.
Again.
She didn't know who, or what upset him now.
Nor did she want to.
All she knew was that he was.
And it scared her.
Terribly.
. . .
. . .
Jacques Schnee.
Her father.
The Chief Executive Officer of the Schnee Dust Company.
He and mother were fighting.
She heard a loud slap ring out from the study.
"We did not marry because I love you!" He snapped, "I only married you for the money, half-wit wench! I never loved you! I never loved the children! I never loved any of it!"
There came a horrified gasp.
"I don't understand why we even had so many children," He added, "I never wanted any to begin with!"
Those words stung.
Mother burst out the door and ran away, crying.
Weiss stayed where she was, too afraid to move.
If father was telling the truth, then what had he ever loved?
Would he ever love?
. . .
. . .
Could he ever?
. . .
. . .
. . .
. . . Could she . . .?
. . .
. . .
No.
. . .
Should she?
. . .
Was love even real?
. . .
. . .
Could she even feel it if no one loved her?
. . .
. . .
. . .
. . .
. . .
. . .
Father was storming back to his office . . .
. . .
He'd forgotten . . .
. . .
Mother had disappeared . . .
. . .
Did she remember?
. . .
Winter was gone . . .
. . .
She hadn't called . . .
. . .
Whitley wouldn't understand . . .
. . .
Would he ever?
. . .
"Well, brat?" Jacques' voice cut hot through the air.
Weiss jumped and looked up, trembling.
"F- Father-" She wanted to speak,
"If you wish to stain my expensive carpets," But he wouldn't let her, "You'll have to pay for them."
Weiss gulped.
"But- but-!" Her tears blurred her sight,
"Go to your room." Jacques said sternly, pointing the direction he faced.
Weiss still didn't move.
"I said go to your room!" Jacques raised his hand.
Weiss flinched, and shutting her eyes she braced herself.
"Hammer of silence!"
*THUD!*
A blow landed.
. . .
But not on her. Weiss opened her eyes, and stared in wonderment. Standing ahead of her, was a tall man.
He wore plate armour on his chest, shoulders, forearms, and knees; his whole set was painted a pearly white and accented by polished brass.
His shirt was black, his pants were brown, as were the spats over his black boots. A red sash was tied around his waist, under a black leather utility belt, which stood out prominently thanks to the brass buckle on it.
A handsome sword hung from his hip and seemed to chill the air around it; the guard and pommel were a shining, silvery steel, and the grip was wrapped in black cotton. It reminded Weiss of the Knights of Yore. Her grandfather once showed her pictures from old books, and she still loved to pore them over.
Then, throwing his fist forward, the tall man buried it in Jacques' stomach. A globule of saliva sprayed from his mouth as he stumbled backward. He coughed and spluttered, but he wouldn't get to breathe yet.
The man hooked his arm under Jacques' and hefted him up over his shoulders
"Throw-Down of Shut-Up!" He growled.
And with an easy effort, Jacques was sent tumbling through the air and broke through the wall ahead with a crash.
He wouldn't get up for a while after.
"That takes care of that." The tall man clapped his hands together, wiping them clean, "Serves you right, frosty blowhard."
Then, he turned around.
Weiss could hardly believe her eyes.
'. . . He's so pretty . . .' She thought.
Truly, this man looked exactly how Weiss expected all Knights to look beneath their helmets. His skin was fair, his eyes were a deep, captivating blue, and his soft, luxurious blonde hair bounced with every bob of his head.
He looked like one of the boys Winter liked, from that one band with the really catchy music
'What was it called again? No Direction?' Weiss didn't remember.
This was much better though!
The man saw her, smiled, and knelt down to look her in the eye.
"Heya." His voice was soft, and so was his smile, "Are you okay?"
"Uh- . . . Uh-huh . . ." Weiss could only nod.
The motion shook the tears from her eyes. The man saw this and quickly raised his hand. Weiss gasped and flinched again.
"Hey, hey!" His voice was still soft, "It's okay. I'm not gonna hurt you. I promise."
Weiss said nothing. The man very carefully wiped away her tears, and brushed a few strands of her hair out of her face.
Weiss felt amazed. Clearly, this man was very strong, but still so gentle. She hardly felt his fingertips brushing against her face.
"There." His eyes crinkled, "That better?"
". . . Yeah." Weiss's voice returned, "Thank you, Sir . . ."
"No prob, Snow Angel." The man assured her.
Well, there was a new name for her.
It sent her heart aflutter. No one had called her something like that before.
"Who are you?" Weiss wanted to know,
"Me?" The man pointed to himself, "Oh, y'know. I'm everyone's favourite."
"No, I don't." Weiss shook her head, "I'd remember you if you were my favourite."
If the man was offended, he didn't show it. He just smirked.
"I'm your one and only knight in shining armour." He declared, and struck a proud pose.
Weiss's eyes went wide.
"M- My knight-?" She was surprised.
"That's right." His smile widened, "I'm your knight. So I'mlike your guardian angel."
Her eyes shone.
"A-Are you really a knight?" Weiss was excited,
"Of course I am." The Knight insisted, and pointed to himself, "Look at my armour, only the best knights ever will dress like this!"
"Woww . . ." Weiss's eyes sparkled as it all sank in, "I have my very own knight in shining armour! This is the best day ever!"
She was so excited, she started bouncing up and down. Weiss didn't care if it was unladylike, or unsightly. Today had turned from the worst day, to the best day, and she was happy.
Her knight chuckled as he watched her happy little dance.
"Hey listen," He quickly called her attention back,
"Uh-?" Weiss stopped dancing,
"What's today's date?" He asked,
"September-" Weiss stopped and blinked, "September fifth . . ."
"And that means . . ." The Knight's smile grew, "Today's your birthday."
Weiss stared up at him.
"How did you know?" She quizzed,
"How do you think?" He quizzed back.
Weiss thought for a moment. Then it came to her.
"You're my birthday present, aren't you?" If it was possible, her eyes widened even more.
Her Knight said nothing. He just nodded. Weiss couldn't contain herself, and she squealed with delighted glee.
"Alright, come on, birthday girl." The Knight clapped his hands, "What do you wanna do today?"
Weiss stopped.
What did she want to do?
"Umm . . ." Weiss tried to think, but she was too excited, "I don't know! There's so much I'd love to do today!"
Her Knight understood.
"Then why don't we go outside and have some fun?" He suggested, "There's a few places I think you'll love out there."
That was as good an idea as any to Weiss.
"Ooh, yes please!" She chimed,
"Then that's what we'll do!" The Knight stood up, "Are you ready?"
"Yes, I am!" Weiss nodded,
"Then let's go!" And taking her hand in his, they headed to the front door.
But before they could reach the lobby, they were stopped.
"Ahh- 'scuse me?" Called a guard,
"Yes sir?" The Knight faced him,
"What are you doing with her?" The Guard asked,
"Oh, I'm taking the Little Snow Angel out for her birthday!" He said easily.
The guard, although trying his best to do his job, seemed a rather hapless man. But he didn't seem like he cared too much just then.
"Well, I can't let you out." He said, "Not unless I know she'll be safe."
"Oh, come on." The Knight, "We won't be too long."
He turned to Weiss.
"Will we, Snow Angel?"
Weiss looked between her Knight and the guard, and smiling bravely, she shook her head.
"No sir!" She chirped, "We won't be too long at all."
The guard sighed, that seemed to help.
"Okay . . ." He checked his pockets, "Well, I'll need some identification."
"Oh, sure." The Knight pulled a card from a pouch on his belt, "How's this?"
Weiss couldn't read backwards, it was up too high and the letters seemed all jumbled. It then occurred to her that she never asked her Knight for his name. Now she felt a little silly.
She also spotted on his other hip, a pistol with a long muzzle. She had never seen one like that before, but it very much reminded her of the ones Major Ironwood wore.
"Huh." Grunted the guard, "Looks like everything checks out. You're free to go."
"Thank you!" Smiled The Knight,
"At least be sure to come back before five o'clock!" He called,
"We will!" Weiss and the Knight hollered back together.
A black Limousin awaited them, quietly idling in front of the fountain in the loop. Her Knight drew ahead, and opened the door for her. The driver was relaxing in his seat, but sat up completely straight when he heard the doors open.
"Where to, m'dears?" He asked sweetly,
"Sky Mall, please sir." The Knight told him, just as sweet, "I'll be guarding the little lady while she's out for her special day."
The Driver nodded and cruised smoothly away from the Manor.
"Um, excuse me, sir, but what's your name?" Weiss finally asked him,
"My name?" The Knight blinked at her,
"I was so excited to meet you," She said and looked down at her lap, " I guess I forgot. I'm sorry."
Her Knight clicked his tongue.
"No, don't be!" He patted her shoulder, "Today is for you! I don't mind if you didn't ask."
"But it's still rude . . ." Weiss didn't smile.
Etiquette training was a must among the upper class citizens in Atlas. To neglect it was to imply you were poorly brought up, and Weiss did not want to make her family look bad.
But her Knight understood.
"Ani." He said.
Weiss looked up.
"Pardon?" She asked,
"Ani." The Knight said again, "My name is Ani."
Weiss giggled.
"But that's a girl's name." She pointed out.
Her Knight was nonplussed.
"It's short for Anakin." He clarified,
"Anakin . . ." Weiss murmured, then she frowned, "That sounds made up."
"It means warrior." Anakin explained.
"I don't think it suits you." Weiss still didn't really buy it,
"Well, what do you think my name should be then?" The Knight played along with.
Weiss thought for a moment, and realised she couldn't think of a better name herself.
". . . May I still call you 'Mister Knight'?" She asked.
Her Knight didn't tease her, he just nodded.
"Of course, Little Snow Angel." He allowed.
And that was that.
‐---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The two had a lovely day. They went for a treat from the bakery, had a drive through the suburban landscape, and even drove past the army barracks as well.
Weiss liked going there, sometimes, it meant a chance to see Winter. Unfortunately, she wasn't there, so Her Knight took her for ice cream instead. They even bought some for the driver. That made Weiss feel a little better, but she still wished to see the better members of her family.
And last of all, they returned to the Manor, and had a walk around the grounds. Jacques wasn't there when they returned, which everyone thought was just as well. It cheered Weiss up a lot. Although the house was cold, both inside and out, it was her home. And she was happy to have a friendly face with her.
The sun was going down, and bathed the snowy land in a warm, clementine glow.
Soon they reached the flowerbeds her mother always tended to with the gardeners. After passing through it, her Knight checked his watch.
"Ugh." He groaned, and stopped walking.
Weiss stopped too when she heard him.
"What's wrong?" She wanted to know,
"I haven't got much time left," The Knight shook his head, "I've got to go soon."
'Go?' Weiss didn't understand,
". . . You're not staying?" Her heart sank like a stone,
"I'm afraid I can't." The Knight looked sorry, "I have to get back to where I came from-"
"But you can't leave!" Weiss darted forward and hugged his leg, "You have to stay!"
The Knight stammered, for only a moment.
"You know I'd love to." He said honestly, "But I don't think your dad would like that very much. I did put him through a wall."
"But I don't care about that!" Insisted Weiss, "You said he deserved it!"
Her Knight winced, he clearly forgot she had heard.
"I did say that." He admitted, "But I didn't come here to stay with you."
"But why not?!" Weiss was very upset now, "You said you're my knight in shining armour!"
"I am." The Knight promised, "And I always will be! But I can't stay here. This isn't where I'm meant to be."
Weiss began to cry. It didn't make any sense. And now it had gone back to being the worst day all over again.
"Then why did you come?" She looked away.
Her Knight knelt down, put his thumb on her chin and guided her gaze back to him.
"Well, first." He explained, "I wanted to punch your dad. And I did, so I'm happy."
Weiss tried not to smile.
'So he did deserve it.' She thought,
"But second, and wayy more important." He added, "I came to see you."
"To see me?" Weiss tilted her head,
"Uh-huh." Smiled the Knight, "Because you needed someone to help you smile again."
He brushed her tears away once more.
"He," He gestured with his head to the mansion, "he's not very smart. He's just a big, blue dummy!"
That made Weiss giggle through her tears.
"But he's not blue." She wrinkled her nose,
"Yeah, not yet." The Knight winked.
"Are you going to turn him blue?" Weiss thought that would be a hilarious trick.
Her Knight considered.
"Well," He tried, as if weighing his options, "I mean, I'd like to."
"Then why not?" Weiss pouted, through a little smile,
"I get the feeling someone will take care of that for us." The Knight told her.
Although Weiss didn't believe it, she hoped it would happen soon.
"He doesn't know how incredible you are." He moved his hand to her cheek, massaging it, "How amazing you'll be, when he's not being a meanie to you."
Weiss stared up at him.
"Me?" She couldn't believe her ears, "Me? Amazing? Really?"
"Yeah." His smile became serious, "it'll take a while for you to get there, but you will. Because you are that amazing."
He ruffled her hair.
"Then again, I guess your dad is always being mean, so maybe he'll never get it." The Knight's smile returned, "But there will be people who do. And those people? They'll be the best ones you'll ever meet."
Weiss blushed and looked at her feet. Her grandfather would do this to her and Winter when they felt down.
"How do you know so much?" She wanted to know, taking his enormous hand in her's,
"Because I can see it." The Knight didn't miss a beat, "In your eyes. And in your face. You're a strong girl, and I know you'll grow into someone even stronger than you are now."
"I'm strong now?" Such a thought never occurred to her,
"Psh-yeah, you are!" Chuckled the Knight, "I bet Ol' Nicky'd be proud if he could see you now."
Weiss's little heart took off and soared.
"Do you mean it?" Her eyes sparkled with hope, "You can see all of that just by looking at me?"
"Of course I do." The Knight ruffled her hair again, "And yeah, I can see it. You're a regular, little Snow Angel!"
Weiss felt happier than she had since as far back as she could remember.
"Oh." She choked, "Oh, thank you, Mister Knight!"
She threw her arms around him. Her Knight shook his head and picked her up, and standing to his full height, he gave her a squeeze.
"Anytime Snow Angel." He whispered, "Any time."
The two of them stayed like that for a moment. Jacques groaned from his gurney at the hospital, quickly being tended to byt the staff. Suddenly, a faint beeping went off behind Weiss's head.
"What's that?" Weiss pulled back.
Her Knight checked a flashing green device on the back of his left wrist.
"Agh," He grunted, "we're cutting it really close."
He knelt down and put her back on her feet.
"Listen, my time here is almost up." The Knight showed her the device on his wrist, "I have to go now.
Weiss's face fell.
"Okay, I guess." She said, flat as a slate,
"Come on," He nudged her shoulder, "Don't be like that."
"But, but-" Weiss couldn't stop sniffling, "But we'll never see each other again."
"Yes we will." Insisted the Knight, "It might be a few years from now, but we will meet again."
Weiss raised her head.
"You promise?" She asked him doubtfully.
Her Knight gave a reassuring smile.
"I promise." He nodded.
Then, as if on queue to Weiss, he stuck out his pinky.
"Swear on it?" He asked for her.
Weiss's eyes widened again.
He knew she would want to.
If this knight was a present from her grandfather, then by the Gods, had he chosen well.
All she could do was nod. And they linked their pinkies together.
"Now, it's official." The Knight punctuated the promise with every word and their digits unlinked.
A loud rumbling roared behind them. Weiss peered behind him to look. A bright, swirl of energy twisted to life behind them.
"Wow . . ." She marvelled, "What's that?"
"That's where I came from." The Knight told her,
"Where is it?" Weiss was needed to know,
"You'll see it someday." The Knight patted her cheek and stood up, "Now I really have to go."
Weiss sighed.
"Okay." She said sadly, and hugged him again,
"Don't be so sad." He said softly, hugging her back, "You know I'll always be with you."
"Will you?" Weiss was desperate,
"I will." He nodded.
Letting her go, he saw now that she wasn't as sad anymore. She was smiling a little bit.
"Atta girl." He smiled, "Just keep your Rusty-the-Rusted-Knight-stuffie close, and you'll never be alone."
Weiss perked up.
"How'd you-" She tried to ask.
But before she could, her Knight turned around and headed for the bright swirling.
"OH!" The Knight stopped short and whirled around, "I almost forgot to tell you."
"What's that?" Weiss stepped closer,
"I know you're thinking of going to a school called Beacon, am I right?" He tilted his head,
"Um, yes?" Weiss hadn't given it too much thought just yet,
"Well, if and when you do go there," He told her, "you're probably gonna meet a really dorky blonde kid."
"I will?" Now Weiss was very perplexed,
"Yeah, probably." Nodded the Knight, "I'm just gonna ask you to be nice and go easy on him. He's a good kid, and he's honest too, but he's kinda goofy. He won't know how to express himself properly."
Weiss nodded. She wasn't sure what to make of this.
"Uh, alright . . . yes . . . I can do that . . ." She frowned a little.
This didn't make sense, either.
"D'ah," He waved it off, "you'll get it when you see him. Again, just don't think too badly of the kid, okay?"
Weiss nodded again.
"Okay," She was more resolute, "I promise!"
"That's all I'll ask." He smiled happily, and stepped towards the swirl, "Ooh, wait one more thing!"
Her Knight turned back around to face her.
"Also, when you go to Beacon," He added, "You're probably gonna meet this really pretty girl with red hair and green eyes."
"Mm-hm?" Weiss nodded,
"Just try to be her friend as well." He told her, "She hasn't had it easy either, and she would love to have real, true friends in her life."
"She won't have any when I meet her?" Weiss frowned,
"I'm sorry, but no." He shook his head, "She won't."
That sounded awful. Weiss made her decision.
"Okay!" She promised, "I'll be good to them both!"
"You've got a heart of gold." The Knight patted her head again, and finally he turned away, walked up to the swirl, and stepped into it, "Bye-bye, Snow Angel, I'll see you again someday!"
"Goodbye, Mister Knight!" Weiss called out, "I love you!"
Her Knight said nothing. But he turned back a little, giving her a kind, broad smile. Weiss smiled back when she saw it. And with a deep humming and droning, he stepped through the swirl, and it disappeared.
‐---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
By the end of that day, Weiss felt better than she had in years. She found a note pad and a pencil in her room, and jotted down her promise to Her Knight.
She would keep it.
No matter what.
‐---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
That night, as Klein the butler tucked her into bed, he saw how she was smiling - he'd been at a different part of the Manor all day, and was secretly upset to have missed his 'Little Snowflake' on her biggest day yet.
"Oh my dear," He covered his mouth and yawned, "Oh, excuse me. You look very happy."
"I am Klein." Weiss gratefully snuggled her Rusty-stuffie when he handed it to her, "Today was the best birthday I can remember!"
Klein's eyes turned yellow.
"Oh bother, was it?" He asked excitedly, and clicked his tongue, "Oh, and I've missed it."
"Well," Weiss fidgeted, "I don't think you would've liked how it started . . ."
Klein's eyes turned violet.
"Um?" He felt wary,
"Father said he didn't love any of us." Weiss told him,
"No!" He gasped,
"Mm-hm!" Nodded Weiss, "He shouted it out really loudly, right in mother's face!"
That made the butler very angry, and his eyes flashed red.
"Why, that insolent, frosty blowhard!" He snapped, then remembering he was in front of Weiss, he quickly recovered, "ATISHOOO! Oh, my! I'm so sorry, my Little Snowflake. Something came over me-"
"That's what he called him!" Weiss's eyes shone like the northern lights.
Klein paused.
"What who said?" He asked her,
"My knight in shining armour!" Weiss recounted, "Ooh, you should've seen it, Klein! He threw Father through a wall, and he didn't get back up until after the other staff had him taken away!"
Brunhilde, one of the maids, told Weiss everything after her Knight left.
The butler stared.
". . . Is that why the Master wasn't at home this afternoon?" He asked.
Secretly, Klein wished he'd gotten to see that himself.
"Yes!" Weiss nodded, bouncing up and down in her bed, "I was so sad and scared when Father started yelling again, but then he swooped in and shut him up!"
Klein was so overjoyed, his eyes turned back to yellow.
"Oh, how wonderful!" He was delighted, "This knight of yours sounds like just the sort of man we need around here!"
Both Klein and Weiss knew they really shouldn't be excited about something like this, but as Jacques was still in the hospital, there wasn't anyone around to tell on them. Another worrying thought came to him, however, and his eyes went back to violet.
"Um, beg Pardon, my Little Snowflake," He asked, "But where is this knight of yours now?"
Weiss shook her head.
"I don't know." She sighed, "He said grandfather got him as a present just for me. He came here to tell me that I'm going to be amazing when I grow up, but then he walked into a big glittery-shaped-thing and left."
The butler frowned. He could understand now why Weiss was so upset about it.
"Oh, please, do cheer up, my dear?" Klein patted her head, "I'm sure you'll see him again someday."
Weiss nodded again, mutely.
"He promised we would." She remembered, "I just wish I could see him now . . ."
"Well, what if we tried to find him?" Offered Klein, his eyes turning brown, "I'm sure we could do that. What did he look like?"
Weiss thought for a moment.
"He had golden hair," she recalled, "and his eyes were like the ocean."
"Ooh, go on." Klein was rapt with attention,
"He was tall too!" Added Weiss, "As tall as Grandfather! He wore armour like his, with the big chest-part, and knee-pads and shoulder-pads."
She paused and pulled her knees up.
"He was really pretty . . ." She finally said,
"Mm-hmm . . ." Klein nodded thoughtfully, "I see then . . ."
His eyes turned back to yellow again.
"This knight of yours sounds truly wonderful." Klein assured her, "I'll send word out to a few of our contacts and see about finding this knight of yours."
". . . Okay, Klein." That helped her a little, "Thank you."
She peeled out of bed and gave him a tight, warm hug. Klein felt startled at first, but hugged her all the same.
"Do you think I will get to see him again?" She wondered, still holding onto him.
Against his better judgment, Klein answered.
"I'm sure I know you will." He promised.
He gently laid her back down, and drew the covers up.
"Good night and happy birthday, my sweet Little Snowflake." He wished her, "Sleep well, and pleasant dreams."
"Good night, Klein." Weiss wished him back, "You too, a-and the others as well."
Klein nodded with a smile and left the room, shutting the door behind him. Weiss shuffled further down beneath her covers and snuggled her Rusty-stuffie again.
"Good night, Mister Knight." She breathed, "I hope I get to see you again soon."

Seijuu Sentai Gingaman; Remnant, Chapter 1: Ginga Tensei! A Great Power Found in the Lost Galaxy!
Tumblr media
In the deserts of Vacuo;
Oscar(laying on his back after trying to run back into the portal they came from): NO!!!
The portal they came from starts closing, only for five figures to come flying out of it and landing on a heap on the ground.
Oscar(getting up): Oh my gods…
Oscar approaches the figures as they start trying to untangle their limbs from one another.
Yang(groaning): Weiss, get your elbow out of my face!
Weiss(yelping): Who’s hand is that?!
Blake(yelping): SORRY!!!
Ruby(sitting up): Yang? Weiss?
Ruby(grabbing them in a group hug): YOU’RE OKAY!!!
Oscar(relief in his voice): You all are…
Nora(running up, worry on her face): Wait…
Nora(looking around in panic): Where’s Jaune?
Jaune(voice muffled): Down here!
Ruby glances down and sees that she had landed on top the back of Jaune’s head…With her thighs smothering either side of his head!
Ruby(blushing and petal bursting away): I’M SO SORRY!!!
Jaune(getting up): You’re fin-ACK!!!
Nora(grabbing Jaune in a tight bear hug): I WAS SO WORRIED, I DON’T WANT TO LOSE MY BIG BROTHER!!!
Jaune(wincing): I’m*ack*glad*ack*you see me*ah my ribs* that way Nora!
Nora(letting go): Don’t scare us like that again!
Jaune(rubbing his ribs): I’ll try to avoid it…
Emerald(looking towards the desert): I don’t mean to interrupt this touching moment, but…
Ren(blasting away at the approaching horde of Grimm): We’re about to be overwhelmed!
The group looks towards the group heading towards them, with most of them realizing that they had lost their weapons while on the pocket dimension, and Crocea Mors’ blade was shattered.
Jaune(groaning as he sheaths what remains of the blade): We’re so screwed…
Blake(having lost Gambol Shroud, seeing Jaune walk forward): What are you doing?
Weiss(worried): Your aura broke, remember?!
Jaune(converting the sheath into its great sword mode, providing his hilt with a replacement blade): We have to protect these people!
Ruby(grabbing one of Ren’s Stormflower pistols when offered): He’s right!
Emerald(turning to Yang while offering one of her sickles to Blake): Didn’t you go over the edge, how did you survive?
Yang(loading a new set of cartridges into Ember Cecilia): No idea! It was like something grabbed each of us and pulled us out.
Nora(preparing her hammer): Here they come!
Just as the small group of Hunters prepare to meet the horde of Grimm head on, a large gust of cold wind blows past them, creating a blizzard in the middle of the desert.
Whitley(turning to face the source with Willow and Klein): Winter?!
Winter is seen walking forward upon small steps made of ice while suspended in the air, glaring at the Grimm before her.
Oscar(realizing what this power is): She’s the Winter maiden!
Weiss(realizing what else that meant): Then that means…
Yang(looking at Ruby with wide eyes): Penny…
Ruby(falling to her knees in grief as Winter engages the Grimm): No…
Jaune(kneeling down next to her with guilt clear on his face): She told me to do it, even when I said no…
Jaune(as Ruby looks up at him, with tears in her eyes): She told me to let her choose something herself…
Jaune(hanging his head): I’m sorry…
Ruby(wiping her tears): It’s not your fault…
Jaune(looking at her confused): Huh?
Ruby(getting back up): It’s Cinder’s…
Ruby(looking Jaune in the eyes): We’ll make her pay for every death she’s been responsible for…
Jaune(giving a small smirk he draws his great sword): Together.
Just as it seems like Winter is about to be attacked from behind, the Grimm behind her is hit by an electric shock, forcing it to collapse.
Sun(calling out as he and Neptune arrive with a small fleet of Bullheads): Need some help?
Blake(stunned): SUN?!?!
Neptune(as he continues to fire on the Grimm): What are we, chopped liver?!
Ilia(standing besides them): Oh grow up will you?
The Bullheads land and open up, allowing Taiyang to disembark along with most of the staff from Beacon!
Taiyang(motioning towards the bullheads that landed): Okay everyone, hurry up and got on!
Yang(confused): Dad?!
Ruby: What are you doing here?!
Port(shooting at the Grimm): We got your message, and we’re here to help!
Jaune(running up to Sun, Neptune and Ilia, cutting down Grimm that got too close as he went): How did you guys know where we were?
Sun(wielding his gun-chucks): I don’t know!
Neptune(wielding his weapon in trident mode): It’s almost like there were voices in our heads…
Ilia(grabbing a Grimm with her whips and electrocuting it): Telling us where we had to go…
Ghira(helping people board): We can question what it was later!
Kali(guiding others): We have to help the people!
A blond man resembling an older version of Jaune with a mustache runs up and starts cutting apart Grimm with a double edged sword, turning to fire at a group about to pounce upon some of the evacuees with the pistol built into the sword’s hilt, reducing them to ash. This man is Jaune’s father, Nick Arc.
A blonde woman who slightly resembles Saphron, but with her hair a brighter blonde helps organize people as they board one of the many bullheads present, while shooting at Grimm that got too close with a powerful hand pistol. This is Nick’s wife and Jaune’s mother, Blanche Arc.
Nick(turning to a stunned Jaune): What? Did you think we’d just leave you to handle this by yourself?
Blanche(shooting at Grimm): We NEVER turn our back on family! Now we have a job to do!
Ruby(wielding the half of Stormflower Ren gave her): They’re right!
Jaune(glaring at the Grimm): Let’s get to work!
Meanwhile, back in Atlas;
Salem(gazing upon a seer after she finished reforming): They think that they may have escaped me, but they’re sadly mistaken…
Salem(ordering her Grimm to swarm them): Destroy them all!
Jaune(slashing as many Grimm as he can apart): THERE’S TOO MANY OF THEM!!!
Yang(with Grimm jumping upon her): THEY’RE EVERYWHERE!!!
Taiyang(running to Yang, barreling through Grimm as he does): HANG ON SWEETIE!!!
Ruby(being overwhelmed): HELP!!!
Jaune(eyes widening): RUBY!!!
Whitley(seeing Grimm start to get past Winter): THEY’RE BREAKING THROUGH!!!
Ren(starting to slash at Grimm with his pistol’s blade): I’M RUNNING LOW ON AMMO!!!
Oscar(knocking Grimm aside with his cane): JUST A LITTLE LONGER!!!
Jaune(running towards Ruby): HANG ON!!!
Jaune starts slashing the Grimm aside in a mad frenzy as he gets closer to Ruby, he speeds up when he sees Ruby start to be seemingly buried under the Grimm.
Nick runs up and starts slashing and shooting at the Grimm, allowing Jaune to get closer to Ruby.
For a brief second, Jaune sees Pyrrha’s glove over Ruby’s own before he snaps himself out of it and reaches out, grabbing Ruby’s hand and yanking her towards him, slashing the heads off of many Grimm as he does so.
Jaune(as he continues slashing while holding her close): You good?
Ruby(blushing briefly at how close they are): Y-yeah!
Nick(delivering a slash of flames using fire dust crystals forged into his blade): Any of you have a plan to push them back?!
Ruby(looking around): I might be able to deal with all of them if you can buy me some time!
Jaune(glancing at her in worry): And if you can’t?
Ruby(looking him in the eyes): Then we make them work for it!
Nick(grinning as he channels some aura into his pistol and releases it as an energy shot): Oh, I like her!
Jaune(scowling as he continues cutting down Grimm): THERE HAS TO BE ANOTHER WAY!!!
Just as the young hunter finishes his sentence, the sand beneath them starts rumbling and something begins to emerge from it, drawing the attention of everyone present, even the Grimm.
Oobleck(gazing upon the mysterious structure): My word…
This new structure appears to be a colossal temple, with five giant stone statues of a lion, an ape, a falcon/dragon hybrid, a wolf, and a wildcat around the entrance.
Suddenly, without warning the eyes of the statues glow and they transform from stone into living beings and gaining color, the lion becomes red, the ape blue, the falcon green, the wolf yellow, and the Wildcat pink. The colossal beings gazed down upon the Grimm and with a roar from the lion, they begin attacking the creatures of darkness!
Goodwitch(from her place in one of the Beacon bullheads): WHAT THE HELL?!?!
Blanche(staring in shock): You can say that again…
The giants make short work of the Grimm, leaving everyone in shock of the display of power.
Neptune(turning to Sun): Is THAT normal for the desert?!
Sun(turning to his friend): OF COURSE NOT!!!
Ilia(slapping Neptune across the back of the head): NONE OF THIS IS NORMAL!!!
Jaune(holding his hands up as the lion gazes down at him, with Nick holding his sword ready to protect his son): Um, nice kitty?…
Yang(noticing something about the wildcat): Rubes, I think the pink one is looking at you…
Ruby(looks up and sees that the pink wildcat is indeed looking down at her): Uh, why is it doing that?
Ren(noticing the Green Humanoid Falcon looking at him): It’s not the only one.
Oscar(holding a hand up and petting the yellow wolf as it lowers its head before him): They’re friendly…
Whitley(seeing the ape crouch down before him): What do they want?
???: Come…
Jaune(looking around): Did anyone else hear that?
Weiss(confused): Hear what?
Jaune(still looking around): I thought I heard a voice…
Nick(concerned for his son): We didn’t hear anything.
???: Come…Gin…man…
Ruby(perking up): I heard it too!
Blake(straining her ears): I didn’t hear anything.
???: You…ave…en chosen…
Oscar(looking around): Me too!
Ozpin(within Oscar’s mind): What are you talking about? I don’t hear anything.
???: …must…otect…laxy…
Whitley(turning towards the temple): I think it’s coming from there!
???: Seize…destiny….
Ren(hearing the voice and noticing the giant beasts gesture towards the temple): You want us to go in?
The beasts nod their heads in agreement, causing those who heard the voice to start heading into the mysterious temple, with their friends following after them, only for the giants to block their path as they made to follow after them and shake their heads.
Yang(indignant): What’s the big idea?! That’s my sister!
Jaune(turning around): I think we’re the only ones allowed to go in.
Whitley(noticing his family’s worried faces): But why?
Oscar(looking into the temple): Only one way to find out…
Nora(calling after Jaune and Ren): Be careful you guys! You all better come back in piece!
Nick(collapsing his sword’s blade and placing its gun form into a holster on his hip): Watch out for any traps in there!
Back in Atlas;
Salem(seeing this through her seer): WHAT IS THIS?!?!?!
Salem(seeing her inner circle approaching her): THERE YOU ARE!!!
Cinder(smirking cockily with the relics of creation and knowledge in her hands): Two relics, and Atlas and Mantle are all but rub-
Salem(cutting her off): THAT DOESN’T MATTER!!!
Salem(motioning to the seer): We need to start heading to Vacuo immediately!
Watts(seeing that everyone managed to escape the pocket dimension): So they got out? It doesn’t matter, we’ll just cru-
Salem(interrupting him): It’s not that, I’m referring to the giant temple and animals that emerged from out of the sand!
Salem(as she starts creating a new Monstra using her magic): We must depart and investigate immediately!
Tyrian(confused): Why are worried about them?
Tyrian(as the new Monstra starts taking shape): Surely my goddess has enough power to dispatch these lowly creatures?!
Salem(once the Monstra is halfway finished): What concerns me is that I have NEVER seen creatures such as those before! Same with that temple!
Salem(once the new Monstra is completed): We must get their quickly, it might contain another, secret relic of those pathetic gods!
Meanwhile, inside the temple;
Jaune(looking around and noticing drawings of 5 warriors wearing colorful outfits, wielding swords): What is this place?
Oscar(asking Ozpin in his head): Do you recognize any of this?
Ozpin(stumped): I don’t know what any of this even is, I’m just as confused as you all are.
Whitley(looking at a drawing of one of the blue figures holding their sword out to a young man, with the next picture depicting the young man now wearing the blue outfit as they held the sword): I think these warriors were given their responsibilities by the ones who came before them…
???: Keep going Rangers, you’re almost there…
Ruby(looking up without realizing that her aura had recovered and was now pink in color): There’s that voice again!
Ren(confused): What did it mean by “rangers”?
Jaune(seeing a bright light coming from underneath the double doors before them, with his aura having also recovered and now red in color): Something tells the answers lie through those doors.
Jaune and Ren head to push the doors open, only to struggle with how heavy they were. Ruby begins assisting Jaune with one door, while Oscar and Whitley help Ren with the other, with no one noticing Oscar’s aura flashing and becoming yellow in color, while Whitley’s became blue.
They manage to push the doors open and discover five identical swords embedded within a large stone before them, a bright light shining down upon them.
Ruby(looking at the swords closely): Aren’t those the swords from the drawings?
Whitley(noticing a medal depicting an ape on one of them): They are!
Ren(confused): Why are they in a stone?
Oscar(also confused): And what are we supposed to do now?
???: Draw the swords…
???(as Jaune and Ruby look up and see a drawing depicting five figures drawing the swords from the stone, with the elements flowing around them once they removed the blades): Only those who are selfless and noble of heart can be found worthy of drawing the Starbeast Swords.
Whitley(confused by the voice’s words): Could I really be considered selfless?
???: When a life was threatened, you rose to the occasion and provided assistance, and you did not run when those you truly cared about were in danger…
???(as Ruby gazes at the blade with a wildcat medal): Draw your swords…
???(as Oscar gazes at the sword with the wolf medal): Prove that you are worthy of great power…
???(as Whitley nervously turns to the sword with an ape medal): Of wielding it for the sake of others…
???(as Ren focuses on the sword with a falcon emblem): To prove to yourselves that you will never run from those in need…
???(as Jaune places his hand on the hilt of the sword with the lion medal): That you are willing to protect their smiles!
Jaune’s gaze focuses on the lion medal as he hears a distant roar, and thinks about his family, his sister Saphron smiling at him in pride the last time they saw each other. Of the little children he helped in Atlas.
Most importantly, he thought of how often Ruby would smile at him and their friends in Beacon. Before everything changed, and she started smiling less and less…
Jaune(thinking with determination as he fully seizes the hilt): I WILL protect her smile!
Jaune then draws the sword, with a burst of flames briefly encompassing him without burning him at all, leading them all to realize the change in the color of his aura.
Seeing her best friend filled with determination encouraged Ruby to do the same, as she grabs hold of the sword before her and pulls it out, causing her aura to fully flash pink, as sakura petals swirl around her in place of her usual rose petals.
Ren and Oscar then draw their own blades, as wind and lightning course around them, leaving Whitley to stare at the final blade.
Taking a deep breath, Whitley steels himself as he grabs a hold of the hilt.
Whitley(thinking as he seizes the bolt): I am NOT my father…I won’t stand by while my family is in danger anymore…
Whitley(remembering Weiss hugging him after he brought Klein back to help Nora, of how Willow smiled at them after so long, of how Klein actually treated and cared for him like a normal child, of Winter looking at him with worry as he entered the temple): I’LL FIGHT TO PROTECT THIS HAPPINESS!!!
Whitley draws the final sword as ripples of water swirl around him and his aura glows blue.
Suddenly their auras all start glowing and they all clutch their head as they feel an sudden influx of new memories.
Of warriors who fought off alien invaders on another far away planet. Their experience, their skills, and how they were willing to give it all up in order to protect the planet itself. Most importantly, they learned the name given to the warriors shown in the drawings…
Jaune(after recovering and gazing up at a drawing depicting the group of five warriors): Gingaman…
Jaune(once the others have recovered): That’s who they are…
Ruby(looking at the sword in her hand): That’s who we are now…
Ren(confused): But according to those memories, they’re from another planet…
Whitley(following along): So how did the Starbeast Swords end up here?
Oscar(looking around): Something must have brought it here, but what?
Jaune(after figuring out how to collapse the blade into its storage mode and placing it in his pocket): Something tells me that this is part of something bigger…We should get out of here and meet up with the others.
Meanwhile, outside;
The now identified Starbeasts suddenly turn their attention to the horizon, with GingaLeon emitting a low growl, drawing most of the hunters’ attention.
Taiyang(looking towards the distance and seeing Salem’s Monstra): Oh no…
Tai’s scroll suddenly goes off and he answers, revealing a panicked Qrow.
Qrow(over Tai’s scroll): Tai, get out of there! We don’t know why, but Salem’s on a warpath heading towards you!
Taiyang(nodding): We’re leaving as soon as Ruby and the other’s come out of the temple!
Qrow(worried): They went inside that temple?! Whatever, you need to get them out and leave!
Nick(readying his blade): There’s no time!
Blanche(pulling out her pistol): PROTECT THE BULLHEADS!!!
Before Tai could even start to prepare himself for battle, the beasts start growling and roaring, before glowing brightly.
Once the glowing subsided, the beasts resembled giant mechanical versions of themselves having assumed their Silver Starbeast forms, and they start running towards the Monstra!
Qrow(noticing the Beasts from Robyn’s airship as they approach the temple): What the hell?
The Silver Starbeasts then jump into the air and begin transforming!
The lion’s head folds up while it’s body collapses into itself, forming an upper body.
The gorilla’s arms fold in its body and its chest folds down onto its legs, and it splits open from below the shoulders, forming a pair of legs.
The falcon lands on top the gorilla, forming part of a waist and a back piece.
The Wildcat and Wolf fold in their legs and straighten out their bodies to become arms as fists emerge from them.
The five otherworldly beasts come together, with the lion’s jaw flipping down to reveal a silver face with blue eyes as yellow horns manifest on either side of the head, forming a colossus of metal. They have become;
Tumblr media
Seijuu Gattai, GingaiOh!
Robyn(eyes wide as she brings her airship down to land by the other bullheads): Oh my god…
Jaune and the others emerge from the temple and gaze upon the mighty titan, and smile as they see it approach the incoming Monstra undeterred.
Salem(enraged by this incoming Titan): UNLEASH THE LEVIATHAN!!!
From beneath the Monstra, a great deal of Grimm essence is released onto the sands of the Vacuo desert. A Grimm starts to take shape from the goo as GingaiOh approaches, becoming a Leviathan Grimm!
Sun(eyes widening): Wait, is this really happening?!
Nora(smiling in glee): HELL YEAH, GIANT MECHA FIGHT!!!
GingaiOh draws it’s Silver Armor Sword as the Leviathan draws closer, and meets the Grimm head-on with ease. The otherworldly Titan delivers a savage left hook across the Grimm’s face, pushing it back and causing cracks to form in its boney mask!
Watts(stunned at the sight of the cracks): Impossible…
GingaiOh notices that the Leviathan was left dazed by the punch and proceeds to raises the Silver Armor Sword as it starts gathering energy, causing the blade to start glowing!
Maria(as she and Pietro disembark from Robyn’s bullhead, having been picked up by the Happy Huntress and Qrow as they left Atlas): What’s it doing?
Sun+Nora(grinning widely as they realize what’s about to happen): IT’S ENDING THIS!!!
As the Silver Armor Sword is almost done charging the attack, Jaune and the others hear one of the voices that spoke to them call out the name of the attack as they approach the evacuees, they join the mysterious voice in calling out the name of the attack as they bring out the StarBeast Swords and point them at the Leviathan.
???+Jaune+Ruby+Ren+Oscar+Whitley(once the Silver Armor Sword is done charging and the blade glows with galactic energy): GINGA JŪŌ KIRI!!!(GALAXY BEAST KING SLASH!!!)
The face of GingaiOh scowls at the Leviathan as GingaLeon’s roar can be heard by everyone present as the Silver Armor Sword is brought down onto the Leviathan, slicing its body clean in half!
GingaiOh turns it’s back to the Grimm as the two half’s start falling to the ground, before they explode from the energy of the attack, ensuring that not even ashes remained!
Pietro(adjusting his glasses back into place because of the explosion’s shockwave): Incredible!
Salem is left stunned by the display of power she just witnessed, before she spots Jaune, Ruby and the others holding the StarBeast Swords, and her disbelief soon gives way to anger.
Salem(turning to her inner circle): I don’t care what you do, or what it takes!
Salem(pointing at various Seers she summoned, the first showing the mysterious Temple): Destroy that temple.
Salem(pointing at the Seer showing GingaiOh): Destroy those Beasts!
Salem(pointing at the final Seer showing Jaune and the others before the evacuees, StarBeast Swords in their hands): AND DESTROY THEM ALL!!!
Cinder+Tyrian(bowing down as Watts quickly leaves the room): Of course my mistress!/Of course my goddess!
Salem(enraged): NOW!!!
The Monstra then drops more Grimm essence onto the desert floor, creating another Leviathan as well as many of the smaller Grimm to attack the evacuees.
Another large pool of Grimm essence is deposited and another titanic Grimm starts to take shape! This one baring a slight resemblance to the Leviathan, but with more mass and looking like a kaiju from the popular monster movies. This is the Grimm known only as, the “Godzilla” Grimm(from Ice Queendom’s intro, that’s literally the name they use to refer to it for now on the RWBY wiki).
Jaune(grinning at the two Titan sized Grimm, knowing that GingaiOh would handle them easily as he raised his StarBeast sword in support): YOU GOT THIS GINGAIOH!!!
Neptune(turning to him): You know its name?
Ilia(noticing the swords in their hands): Were those inside the temple?
Ruby(holding up her blade): Yeah, it’s a long story.
Ren(turning to the horde of Grimm heading towards them): We’ll tell you all later…
Oscar(spotting Cinder and Tyrian leading the horde): Right now, we have some business to take care of.
Whitley(gazing at the sword in his grasp): Time to see what you’re really made of Schnee…
Jaune(thinking as he gazes at the lion medal on his sword): From what we saw in those memories, the Gingaman could transform using their powers…
Jaune(as the eyes on the medals on each sword glow their respective colors): Which means so can we!
Beams of light travel from the hilts of the StarBeast Swords and onto the wrists of their wielders, before subsiding to reveal wrist mounted devices with a golden dial, a series of lines in the five colors of the users, a blue gem, and a silver button with a black zigzag pattern running through it.
Jaune and the others knew exactly what to do as everyone looked at the display of light in confusion.
Jaune(as he turns his dial to the red line while glaring at the approaching Cinder and Tyrian): Ready?!
Ruby+Ren+Oscar+Whitley(turning their dials to their own colors as Cinder, Tyrian and the horde of Grimm stop and stare in confusion with everyone else): Ready!
Jaune+Ruby+Ren+Oscar+Whitley(holding their hands in front of their chest, palms open and facing away from them before swinging their arms out and pressing the silver button): GINGA TENSEI!!!(GALACTIC REBIRTH!!!)
Their bodies become engulfed in light and they raise their hands into the air above them as energy gathers and forms suits upon their bodies.
Tumblr media
Nick(stunned as he sees his son and the others transform before his very eyes): Woah.
Weiss(stunned): What is this?
Yang(concerned): What did you find inside that temple Rubes?
Cinder(annoyed): You really think a change of clothes will be enough to deal with us?!
Cinder(pointing at them with her Grimm and ordering the Grimm to attack): GET THEM!!!
Jaune(turning to the gathered Hunters, and snapping them out of their shocked stares): Tell the pilots to start taking off!
Ren(while facing the Grimm): We’ll help hold them off.
Ruby(looking at her gloves hands): This feels incredible!
Oscar(bending his fingers as if they were clawed): It’s just like those visions we had!
Whitley(looking at his gloves before clenching his fists with determination): Let’s show them what we got!
Jaune(addressing the gathered Huntsmen and Huntresses): What are you all waiting for?!
Jaune(as he and the others start charging at the Grimm, arms spread and crouching as they ran while GingaiOh starts engaging the Titan sized Grimm): LET’S GO!!!
(Cue “Galactic Warriors Gingaman”, the official alternate English version of the Gingaman opening)
Make a dash!
Jaune and the other Gingaman reach the herd first and start fighting them bare handed and keeping them at bay.
Cross the universe saving Mother Earth
Whitley delivers an uppercut, knocking a Grimm into the air with his new found strength.
Dash Off!
Ren jumps up and grabs the Grimm in mid air and slams it into the sands of the desert floor.
Whole 'round the world waiting for the peace
Cinder(enraged as she and Tyrian see the five of them dealing with the Grimm with newfound strength and skills): HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE?!?!?!
Tyrian(pointing at them as the other hunters join them): WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE TO STAND IN OUR GLORIOUS GODDESS’ WAY?!?!?!
Howl it!
Jaune(as he grabs a Grimm and tosses it aside with ease): You really want to know?!
Roar it!
Ren(jumping up and wrapping his legs around a Beowulf’s neck and twisting his body in midair to throw the Grimm aside): We’re the latest in a long line of warriors!
Whitley(while lifting a Beringel with surprising ease and tossing it towards a shocked Beringel): Protectors of love and peace!
Louder!
Oscar(dragging a Creep across the ground while running on his hands and feet as Ruby does the same to a Sabyr, as they proceed to throw them towards Nick and Qrow as they slash the Grimm with their swords): We’re the one who won’t let you hurt anymore people!
Ruby(glaring at Cinder under her helmet): We won’t let you steal the happiness from others!
Gingaman!
Jaune(grabbing a Sabyr as it charged at him, before dealing a flaming punch at its face, shocking Cinder as the Grimm bursts into flames, before striking a pose): GingaRed!
GingaRed(giving a thumbs up): Jaune Arc!
Tumblr media
When the heart beats for love, it's gonna beat the vice
Ren(evading a charging Grimm as it was then chopped by Port’s axe, striking his own pose): GingaGreen!
GingaGreen(thumbs upping): Lie Ren!
Tumblr media
Listen close to the ground
Whitley(delivering a kick to a Grimm, knocking it backwards for Winter to stab it with her swords, before assuming his own pose): GingaBlue!
GingaBlue(thumbs upping): Whitley Schnee!
Tumblr media
Beating strong enough to treat the lives
Oscar(with lightning coating his fingertips as he delivers a raising scratch on a Boarbatusk, throwing it onto its back for Emerald and Blake to attack its exposed belly before he assumes his own pose): GingaYellow!
GingaYellow(flashing a thumbs up): Oscar Pine!
Tumblr media
Astro energy filling up power to space
Ruby(dragging a creep across the ground with her semblance, leaving behind pink sakura petals instead of her usual rose petals, before tossing the Grimm towards an awaiting Nick to slash it in half, as she assumes her own pose): GingaPink!
GingaPink(thumbs upping): Ruby Rose!
Tumblr media
Come on kickin' Gingaman!
GingaRed(as they gather and he points towards the sky before bringing his hand down to point at the enraged Cinder and Tyrian): The Legendary Blade that pierces the Galaxy!
Tumblr media
Ride on ridin' Gingaman!
GingaRed: Seijuu Sentai!
Gingaman(posing together): GINGAMAN!!! REMNANT!!!
Tumblr media
Five elements from Galaxy, get all together!
Cinder(forming a blade with her maiden powers): I DON’T CARE WHAT YOU CALL YOURSELVES!!!
Come on kickin' Gingaman!
Cinder(using flames to fly towards them): I’LL STILL KILL YOU ALL!!!
Ride on ridin' Gingaman!
The Gingaman draw their StarBeast Swords from the hilt on their waists and leap forward to meet the charging Cinder and Tyrian.
Piercing through the Milky Way
GingaRed and GingaPink meet Cinder’s blade and easily shatter it with their swords, forcing Cinder to move back and create two more blades to dual wield. She is quickly overwhelmed by their combined might, and is thrown back by a fireball from GingaRed.
Oh, legendary blade
The other Gingaman deal with Tyrian, with Whitley catching his tail before it could stab into him, allowing Oscar to sever the prosthetic stinger from it, before Ren sends a mini tornado at the mad faunus, sending back alongside Cinder.
Galactic Warriors…
The StarBeast Swords glow again, before claw shaped weapons appear in the Gingaman’s hands, the Mechanical Blade Kibas.
Gingaman(holding out their Kibas in a star formation aimed at Cinder and Tyrian): Kiba Imperial Wrath!
The Blades glow as they charge up energy, before releasing a beam of energy at the pair.
Gingaman!
The beam hits the two, causing them to seemingly explode, with their auras shattering as they had taken the brunt of the attack, with the skin of Cinder’s left Grimm arm being burnt as a result.
(End song)
GingaiOh easily dispatches the Leviathan like it did the first one, but is pushed back by a head button from the Godzilla Grimm.
GingaiOh gets back up and stares at the Grimm while Salem grins at final managing to land a hit on the mechanical Titan.
GingaiOh then removes the upper half of Gingalcon’s body from its back, forming its secondary weapon, the Galcon Bowgun.
Energy starts gathering at the tip of Gingalcon’s beak as GingaiOh ready’s its ranged finisher.
Salem(seeing the energy being gathered, as she orders her Grimm to interrupt the process): STOP IT!!!
The same mysterious voice from before calls out the name of the attack for all to hear as GingaiOh takes aim at the Godzilla Grimm.
???(as GingaiOh fires the shot): RYŪSEIDAN!!!(METEOR BULLET!!!)
The energy blast completely decimating the Godzilla Grimm as it charged at it in an attempt to stop it, creating an explosion, much to Salem’s anger.
Salem(seeing Tyrian and Cinder being defeated): MUST I DO EVERYTHING MYSELF?!?!?!
Ozpin(from within Oscar’s mind, amazed): Incredible! Mr Arc and Miss Rose were able to easily defeat the full might of a Maiden!
Before the Gingaman could approach the downed opponents, they jump back on instinct, avoiding a barrage of explosive shots as Watts runs up in front of his comrades as they get up.
Watts(aiming his gun at the gathered hunters and Gingaman): You two let yourselves be beaten by these people? Pathetic…
Cinder(getting up with a scowl): SHUT…UP…
Before another fight could break out, an angry shout from the Monstra catches everyone’s attention.
Salem descends from her mobile base, and lands before her inner circle, a look of rage on her face.
Nick(readying his weapon): Things just got worse for us, didn’t they?…
Salem(her eyes glowing with her magic): You have NO idea…
But before the Queen of the Grimm could left a hand to blast her enemies with a blast of magic.
???(as the Gingaman, the hunters and the evacuees start glowing): Pardon us…
???(as the glow gets brighter): But it’s time to go…
???(as GingaiOh starts glowing just as brightly): You’ll have to continue this at a later date.
Once the glowing subsides, Salem uncovers her eyes and sees that the everyone has vanished, along with GingaiOh, the Bullheads, and the Mysterious Temple.
Salem(absolutely LIVID): AAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGHHHHHH!!!
Meanwhile;
Whitley opens his eyes once he feels the glowing light subside, and sees that everyone are now on what appears to be a large hangar bay, with the Bullhead pilots exiting their crafts to look around in confusion. Especially since there appears to be more people than just the evacuees of Atlas and Mantle.
Whitley looks around as well, only to stop as he sees what lies behind the hangar’s exit as his eyes widen in shock.
GingaBlue(getting everyone’s attention): Um, guys…
GingaBlue(as everyone turns to him): I don’t think we’re on Remnant anymore…
GingaRed(turning to Whitley after seeing that a surprised Saphron and Terra were there with his nephew Adrian): What makes you say that?
GingaBlue(pointing outside): Because Remnant’s right there…
Everyone who heard that statement turn in the direction he was pointing and their eyes widen in shock as they see that they are floating in space and see the planet of Remnant before them.
Blanche(gazing out into the void of space in amazement): Oh my god…
Pietro(looking around in amazement): What is this place?
Raven(walking up to them with her sword drawn, and her eyes glowing): That’s what I want to know!
Qrow+Taiyang+Nick(shocked and readying themselves for a fight): RAVEN?!?!?!
???(coming from all around them): Do not be alarmed!
The mysterious voice reveal themselves to be 3 figures with red, blue and yellow hooded cloaks respectively. Underneath the cloaks, they are seen to be wearing costumes similar to the Gingaman, albeit the designs appear to be constantly shifting in appearance, always keeping their respective colors with each shift.
???(pulling their hood back to reveal a red helmet with a black visor in the shape of a phoenix, before it shifts into a helmet with a cheetah motif and a red visor reminiscent of sunglasses, with their costume being a mix between a red and black gi and what appears to be a red and black pirate coat with gold trimming): We mean you all no harm!
Blue(his costume shifting as well between various designs, with even their gender shifting at times): We brought as many people as we could from each major settlement aboard this ship.
Yellow(shifting between designs and genders as well): We did so to save as many people as we could.
A young 12 year-old blonde girl, with blue eyes steps forward with another blonde woman about Winter’s age and height. These are Jaune’s sisters, Kelly and Garnet Arc, respectively.
Kelly(confused): Save us from what?
Emerald(still looking at Remnant): What is THAT?!
Everyone turns back to look at the planet, and notice what appears to be a wave of dark energy washing over the planet, originating from the deserts of Vacuo.
As the wave washes over the planet, they can see the green representing the vegetation turning black, like volcanic stone, causing many to worry, and Ozpin to realize what has happened.
Ozpin(taking control of Oscar’s body in shock): Salem…
GingaGreen(stunned): What did she do?!
Ozpin(explaining): She released a large burst of uncontrolled magic, terraforming the entire planet to mimic the terrain of her Grimmlands…
Ozpin(turning to the others): Anyone left on the planet was likely turned to stone…
Oscar(given control back, and removing his helmet to reveal his wide eyes): No…
Red(addressing everyone there): The change to your planet can be undone. We brought you all here to be relocated to another planet until then.
Jaune(removing his helmet while turning to the figures, shocking his sisters upon seeing his face): Who are you?
Ruby(holding her helmet in her hands beside her best friend): And what do you want from us?
Red: We are the Morphing Masters, guardians of the morphing grid.
Blue: We are partially responsible for granting you these new powers.
Yellow(motioning towards a fourth figure walking out from the shadows): As for your second question, you’ll have to ask him.
The final mysterious voice reveals themselves to be a man in a fully red costume, with a high collar, gold highlights, and a badge on his chest that bears the number “45” over his left breast.
???(striking his own pose, taking the form of various warriors in red, including an outfit identical to the one Jaune’s currently wearing): I am the one who inherits the red souls, Akared!
Akared(crossing his arms over his chest, as GingaiOh separates into the individual StarBeasts behind him): We have quite a lot to talk about with you all…
The Adventure Begins!
Next Time;
Jaune: Our planet’s part of a “Lost Galaxy”?!
Oscar: Oz!
Ozpin: I have my own body again!
Pietro: Penny, you’re alive!
Penny: How is this possible?! I remember being stabbed!
Akared: Welcome to the planet Kaien in the Shishi System!
Weiss: That alien has a dog head!
Blue: The refugees will be staying here until the damage to Remnant can be undone.
Alien: What business do you have all the way out in this part of space?
Salem: I’m a planetary conqueror, and I’d like to place a bounty on the Seijuu Sentai, Gingaman…
Yellow: You must head to Earth to best learn how to use your new powers, as well as uncover the truth about the Brother Gods…
Blue: This planet is well protected by its king, he’ll ensure that nothing happens to the refugees.
Bounty Hunter: I’m here to collect the bounty on the Gingaman!
King of Kaien: YOSSHA, LUCKY!!!
Neptune: What are Grimm doing here?!
Cinder: Time for a rematch!
Tyrian: FOR MY GLORIOUS GODDESS!!!
Nora: He transformed too!
King of Kaien: Super-Star! Shishi Red!
Ren: He’s Super Sentai too?!
Whitley: The alien grew!
Yang: What’s that guy doing?!
Stranger: You go! I go! Here we go!
Strange Device: FUSIONRISE!!!
Stranger: GEED!!!
Blake: HE BECAME A GIANT!!!
Sun: HE’S AS TALL AS GINGAIOH!!!
Geed: I am Ultraman Geed!
Ruby: Something tells me we’re going to get used to seeing things like this…
Gingaman: Next time…
Gingaman: “Chapter 2; Goodbye Lost Galaxy!”
Gingaman: Don’t miss it!

So Far Away AU Part2
Chapter 1: Goodbye
It’s been a week since the war ended but the sense of melancholy was high in the air. The sound of scurrying people in white and the incessant beeping of the life support was ever present, but Jaune’s attention was not focused on them at all. His tired eyes looked softly at the young woman on the hospital bed, dressed in a light blue hospital gown.
Her skin was ghostly pale and her arms were weak. Her usual light blue eyes were hidden behind her eyelids and her usually tied up platinum blonde hair was free. The scar that runs vertically down her left eye and face, didn’t diminish her beauty. The white-haired beauty lay there, seeming lifeless, the beeping of the monitors betraying that notion every single second. The dripping IV needles that were pinched into her veins gave her enough nutrients to nourish her and the nasal cannula leading into her nostrils gave her the much-needed oxygen.
She was Weiss Schnee. The only survivor of Team RWBY was declared to be in a vegetative state. A dear friend of Jaune. He held her frail hand gently and activated his semblance. It was a futile attempt. The doctors have told him that. The injuries Weiss had received were internal. No amount of aura amping could heal the damage in such a manner, but the blonde could only hope.
Weiss… she meant a lot to Jaune. Sure they started on the wrong foot, but they have come to see each other as trusted friends. She even helped him a lot when he tried to assimilate back into society after the Ever After shenanigans three years ago.
She was also the first person the rescue had found in the rubble. He was the one who found her. She was stuck in between rocks and he had heard many rescue personnel how lucky she ended up being stuck in that small space. But Jaune didn’t know whether Weiss would consider herself lucky. Three hours after Weiss was pulled out, Yang’s body was found and six hours later, they found Blake’s corpse. It was after twelve hours after finding Weiss, they found Ruby and Oscar’s bodies along with the sword of destruction. Right now, the sword was in Winter’s possession.
Suddenly, a low rap of the tap was heard against the door and Jaune looked in the direction to see Nora enter the room, wearing her mourning clothes. The knight goes back to watching the sleeping beauty as he feels a hand on his shoulder as Nora asks, “How is she doing?”
“Same thing as usual”, was the reply Jaune gave and the red-headed woman couldn’t help but grimace.
“Ren was asking whether you would be joining us. You know, we can understand if you don’t want to…” Nora hesitantly asks.
“Just give me a minute”, Jaune cuts her off and as he looks at her with his sapphire eyes, he says, “Can’t afford to miss it, can I?”
“But Weiss…” Nora states but she stops herself as Jaune stands up from his seat, while placing the sleeping woman’s hand gently in its place. With his index, he slightly shifts the white hair clear from her face.
He then walks towards a coat hanger, he says, “The doctors can see her for a few hours. But if there is any development, I’ll be coming back”, and he picks up his coat. Without slinging it on his body, he walks towards Nora and as he gently holds her by her shoulders, he says, “I want to give Ruby and others a proper send-off and that won’t happen if I coop myself over here”.
Nora’s lips quiver a bit as Jaune smiles gently at her and he simply nods. She then walks out of the room and the blonde knight follows right behind her, not before giving a glance at the sleeping woman. He lingers for a while, then without a word, he walks out, keeping in mind to inform the nurses to check up on her once in a while.
It was collectively decided that every single casualty of war would be laid to rest through cremation. Jaune had no idea whether the method was because they were on Vacuan soil or it was decided with logistics in mind. Well, he had to agree on one thing. It is easier to transport ashes when compared to an entire body.
Right now, he was patiently waiting in the cremation room, along with Nora and Ren. Headmaster Theodore was kind enough to lend them the largest room which had four incinerators. Cremating them together seemed more appropriate at the time. Qrow was also in the room holding on to Ruby and Yang’s weapons while Ilia was doing the same for Blake’s, silently mourning the loss of their dear ones. They held onto those weapons dearly and the blonde knight understood their attachment to it.
They had this tradition in Vacuo where they burned the weapons of the warriors along with them. Weapons are considered the extension of one’s soul and burning them together with the corpse of their owner is considered letting go of this world completely. It made Jaune wonder if he were to die in this war, would Crocea be burnt with him? The sword was never his, to begin with. It was passed down through the family and he stole it to become a huntsman. There was some aspect of Pyrrha in it too. So would the burning of his sword be considered his death or the death of the heroism in his family?
If Jaune had his way, he would never have burned his friends’ weapons at all and in fact, he would keep them with him till the day he breathes last. He already has experience maintaining weapons that were not his. But in the small corner of his mind, he couldn’t help but ask whether it was right or not. Well, he didn’t have the right to say it. He didn’t hesitate to assimilate Pyrrha’s weapon into his sword. So who was he to have an opinion?
The door opens and personnel in hospital gear come in, wheeling in four stretchers, and is closely followed by Winter. The stretchers were covered in white sheets and Jaune didn’t need to know who was under those sheets. The somber mood that was already present in the room fell as the personnel gently lowered the covered bodies into the coffins that were prepared beforehand, and as they removed the covers to reveal their face… that was when all hell broke loose.
The wails, the tears… It was indescribable. Qrow broke down on the floor hugging the sisters’ weapons tightly to his chest while Ilia cried in her place, being consoled by Sun and Neptune. Nora cried in Ren’s arms while tightly holding onto Oscar’s cane. Winter… the usually stoic and calm Winter was also crying. The only person who was not in the room was Weiss and Jaune knew that if she was here, she couldn’t bear to see her team’s cremation.
Jaune couldn’t hold his tears in. He has seen many people die. He already knew what it felt like to have someone close pass away, but… he couldn’t help it. Ruby was the first friend he had in years. It felt like yesterday when they had met each other for the first time. Yang and Blake were close too. He still remembers how Yang used to nag him and how they used to train together. He still remembers how Blake used to go fully cat mode from time to time. Oscar… Oscar was like his little brother. He still remembers how he had gone with him to movies with Weiss.
They had been through a lot of stuff together. They cried together. They fought together. They laughed together. But the very idea of sending them off pained Jaune a lot. He couldn’t do anything. There were times when he would remain wide awake at night, thinking what would have happened if he had left Winter to deal with Cinder and went after them. What would have happened if they didn’t waste time with Cinder? What would have happened if they had reached the site early? Would his friends be alive? Would he live to protect them for long? Thoughts like them made him wish that he would also have died with them.
It was Ilia who made the first move. She stumbles towards Blake’s coffin and as she places Gambol Shroud next to the feline faunus’s corpse, she breaks down once again. Sun was trying his best to hold his tears as he helped her up. Nora takes this as her turn and walks towards Oscar’s corpse. She places the Long Memory next to him and a few of the things he had collected over the years with them. There were a few of the things Jaune recognized. It took Qrow the most time to collect himself. He saunters towards his nieces’ coffins and he starts to cry as he places their weapon in along with them.
Jaune didn’t dare to look at his fellow leader one last time. He had yet to properly apologize for what he had told her in Ever After. He was yet to make those cookies Ruby asked for as an apology. He had yet to tell her what he felt for her. He had yet to hear what she had to say about the feelings he had for her. Then why? Why did she leave so early? He believed that if he saw her one last time, then he wouldn’t be able to hold himself back. He might not be able to…
But he has to see through. Ruby was his best friend. Ruby was someone he loved. She is someone he still loves.
So he took the initiative.
He steps forward, slowly but surely. With every step he took, he took deep breaths to calm himself down. It felt like an eternity when he finally stood beside resting Ruby. His lips quiver as his hand tucks her stray hair behind the ear. Her normally flushed skin was now pale. Her eyes brightened his day and many others were closed to the world. Her smile was non-existent. It was as if she was in a deep sleep, but Jaune knew better.
“Hey Rubes”, Jaune starts, his voice quivering. His sapphire eyes shed tears as he struggled to find words to say. What was he supposed to say in the first place? He was never good at articulating his emotions properly. He was called dense many times. He took his time to process things. Coming up with something to say was not up to his forte.
His eyes took in every single detail that he could see. The coroners did a good job of cleaning them up, but Jaune could see those faint scars and bruises on Ruby’s corpse. He could see that one wound which was hidden under her hair. He could see how her lips were dry and he couldn’t help but tear up even more. How did she feel at the last moments of her life? Was she scared? Was she in pain? How long did she endure against that witch?
So Jaune decided to do one thing that felt right to him. Ruby might have had a painful death, but he will comfort her as she is being laid to rest.
He takes her hand, slightly flinching at how cold and stiff it is, and gently rubs it in his palms. A gentle smile grows on his face as in a low voice, he says, “There were many things I wanted to talk to you about and I’m not sure where I’m supposed to begin. I’m… I’m sorry. I’m sorry that I couldn’t be there for you. I’m sorry for the things I have said. I’m sorry that I couldn’t be by your side when you needed me the most. I… I’ve always loved you, Ruby. You helped me a lot, that I couldn’t help myself falling for you. I couldn’t say it because I was weak. I was scared. You were my light and I have no idea what I’m supposed to do. But you don’t have to worry about me. I’ll figure something out. We always did. So… so sleep”.
He then leans down and places a kiss on her forehead and he ends by saying, “See you on the other side, Crater Face”. And with that being said, he walks out of the room, tears streaming down his face. Nora and Ren didn’t try to stop him; he wouldn’t have stopped even if they had tried. He didn’t go far. His legs gave out. He couldn’t control his fall. He just wanted it to stop. He just wanted it to end.
How long he was there… he had no idea. He came back to his senses when he felt a hand on his shoulder. He looked up expecting to see Ren or Nora, but it was Winter. He must have looked like a mess when the frown on the woman’s face fell even more. Her eyes soften up as she says, “It’s time”.
Jaune nods as he slowly heaves himself up. The white-haired woman just looks at him as he collects himself. The blonde knight of rust stood there, unable to bring himself to attend the send-off but he must go through it. Ruby and others deserved that at least. He looks at Winter who looks at him with concern and he says, “Let’s go”.
Winter nods and walks forward and Jaune follows her. They entered the room once again and this time it seemed everyone had collected themselves. The sense of melancholy was weighing upon them but they had collected themselves. Jaune finds himself standing next to Nora and Ren once again and with him in his position, Winter gives the incinerator operators a nod of approval.
The operators nod and they gently slide the coffins into the furnace and close the door behind them. As soon as the last door was in place, the operators collectively nodded at each other and fired up the machine.
Slowly but surely, the fire envelops the coffins and heat engulfs the room. The sight of fire behind the glass of the furnace was mesmerizing but Jaune felt no joy looking at them. Sobs broke out in the room once again and tears found their way out of Jaune’s eyes once again.
The knight thought to himself. What was he going to do now? He wanted to be a huntsman all his life, and Pyrrha helped him shape up to tackle that dream. He might have been a leader, but he looked at Ruby for guidance. But now… what was he supposed to do? The war with Salem was over. Ruby is dead. But the Grimm are still around. But he is tired of being a huntsman. So what now?
His gaze falls on Ruby’s burning coffin. At the end of his life, he would see her again. He would see Yang and Blake too. He would see Oscar too. He was prepared to die but death was not ready to claim him. He would definitely die but the day of his death was yet so far away.

Broker (Final Rose)
"Why are we here?” Weiss asked. “This place seems... kind of shady.”
The nightclub, while full of enthusiastic patrons, nevertheless retained a certain shadiness to it. The building looked more like a repurposed warehouse, and the bouncers at the door seemed rather more grizzled than was strictly necessary.
“Because Blake wanted to know if the White Fang have been up to something, and the person who runs this place can tell us,” Yang replied.
“And you’re sure they’ll speak to us?” Blake asked. The Faunus’s brows furrowed as she took note of the Aura signature of the bar staff. They had enough power to actually fight off a team of decent hunters.
“Yeah. I know somebody who knows somebody who knows them. They’ll speak to us.”
“And is there a reason Ruby isn’t here?” Weiss asked.
“Because I don’t want my little sis anywhere near a place like this.” Yang led them toward the back, and a burly wolf Faunus with almost as much Aura as Yang stepped forward to bar their path.
“Where do you think you’re going?” he growled.
Yang slowly, very slowly, reached into her pocket and pulled something out. It was a charm of some kind. The wolf Faunus’s eyes narrowed.
“Where’d you get that?”
“A friend of mine gave it to me,” Yang replied. “And she said to tell you to tell your boss that there’ll be a discount on the next shipment if she gives us a hand.” Yang paused. “Authentication code Gary-Hamster-Snake-9000.”
The wolf Faunus tapped the communicator on his lapel. “Boss, we got guests here to see you. Yeah, they check out. They knew the phrase and the authentication code too. A blonde, a cat Faunus, and the Schnee heiress.”
There was a brief pause, and then the wolf Faunus motioned for them to go ahead. He fell into step behind them as a handful of other guards moved into position as well.
“Uh... Yang,” Weiss said. “This seems kind of...”
“Relax,” Yang said. “We’ll be fine. The people here know what the deal is. Just let me do the talking.”

“So... what can this humble Dia do for you?” The fox Faunus behind the luxurious oak desk asked. She had the same petite frame as Vanille, but her hair was the same pale white as Weiss’s, and her eyes were a piercing steel-grey. “After all, any friend of Vanille’s and Diana’s is a friend of mine.”
Yang sat down at the table. “We’re looking into the White Fang.”
“We are not involved with the White Fang,” the fox Faunus spat. “We are Yun and Dia. The only thing the White Fang can expect from us is a spear to the gut.”
“I know that, but we’ve been chasing leads. You have people in some of the other clubs and underground exchanges. The White Fang have been doing their best to cover their tracks, but we think they might have been trying to slip a few things into Vale.”
“Oh?” The woman folded her hands together, and her fox tail curled onto her lap. The wolf Faunus stood beside her, ready to attack at a moment’s notice. “What sort of things.”
“Nothing big,” Blake said. “But a lot of small things... innocuous things that aren’t threatening until they’re combined. Nothing would be flagged, but you would see an increase in overall smuggling volume.”
“Hmm...” The fox Faunus tapped her manicured fingers on her desk. A flick of her wrist called up a holographic display. She glanced at it for a moment before gesturing again. A map of Vale appeared with a handful of locations highlighted. “I have noticed a significant increase in smuggling requests from these locations. It’s beyond the usual seasonal change. While I don’t know exactly what was smuggled - that’s not my turf - I do know that the people there would not smuggle anything large and risky. It’s not their style.” Blake memorised the locations. “Can you introduce us to the people who run those places?”
“Well...” The fox Faunus smiled. “That might go beyond the scope of the courtesy I owe Vanille and Diana. It would, I think, require compensation.”
Thankfully, Yang had come prepared. “Diana gave me this.” She slid a data storage device across the table. “It contains the authentication codes for surveillance drones being used by the Mistral intelligence services to monitor your facilities in Mistral.”
The fox Faunus sat up. “Really?”
“In exchange,” Yang continued. “We expect your full cooperation in investigating the White Fang’s connection to any smugglers or other... individuals or organisations operating in Vale.”
The fox Faunus grinned. “We have been struggling in Mistral, haven't we, Lykos?”
The wolf Faunus nodded. “Indeed, we have, ma’am. With the authentication codes we would know what the Mistral intelligence services know... and we could show them what we wanted them to see.”
“Precisely.” The fox Faunus nodded. “Very well. I accept your proposal, Yang Xiao Long.” She extended a hand. “I am Oerba Dia Chione.”

Author’s Notes
Although Vanille’s business are all completely legal, she maintains a connection with the underworld, certain segments of which are operated by the Dia. Diana, likewise, also maintains such connections. Chione runs a range of clubs, restaurants, and other such venues throughout Vale and has other business, such as smuggling, bootlegging, and so on. Vanille knows her from her early days when sold bootleg booze to raise money. Chione helped her distribute it. Chione knows Diana since Diana’s drones are the most popular in the world. She has eyes and ears everywhere, and she is Vanille’s number one minion.
Although Yang doesn’t have strong connections to the underworld, she knows that Diana and Vanille do, and has asked Diana for a bit of help with chasing down leads on Blake’s behalf.
It helps that Diana and Vanille are exactly the kind of people you need to keep on your side. Vanille is probably the richest person on the planet and can drop a missile strike on you whenever she feels like it. Diana is one of the few people in Vanille’s intellectual timezone... and she is one of the most powerful people on the planet. Doing business with them and making friends out of them is way better than picking a fight.
Note that people like Chione don’t get into conflict with Roman since Roman is known to have powerful backers (although few are aware of his exact connection to Jihl). It’s enough that when Chione asked Vanille about it, Vanille said not to mess with Roman. As a courtesy, Roman also stay out of the way of people who are friendly with Vanille and the gang.

Patreon Reward: Pure Support Group, Chapter Nine: Malachite Sisters
It's time for the Malachite Sisters to tell their story...
Pyrrha looked over the group that had arrived for this meeting of FABJA. It was a rather full house this time, or at least, it felt more so than usual.
Velvet and Ruby were sitting next to one another, whispering fiercely to one another as they talked about something, most likely Joan related. Judging from the tents in their lower garments, it was Joan related.
Weiss had her hands over her lap, but from her blush and fidgeting, she too, was aroused. The reason? Coco was next to her, whispering and showing her pictures on her scroll. Pyrrha narrowed her eyes, and hoped for her sake that none of them were of Joan, especially taken without her permission. Otherwise, something bad may happen to her legs once Nora found out.
Across from them, Neon and Ciel sat with Fiona, muttering softly as they gestured to one another, Neon the most animated and Ciel the most subdued, with a silent Elm behind them, though she was obviously effected by the words.
Reese and Arslan were sitting together, Reese actually in Arslan’s lap, and Pyrrha prayed to any god that was listening that they weren’t actually fucking here, otherwise, Nora would literally not be able to be stopped, especially since she had Lian on her lap right now, mainly to hide the hard on she was sporting.
The only reason all three of them were there was because Joan had decided to have a ‘sleepover’ with May tonight. She wouldn’t deny the jealousy she felt at that, but it made it easier that Joan was obviously just wanting to spend some time with her godsister.
Yang and Blake were towards the back of the room, chatting with one another as they talked about more mundane things; then again, neither had seen Joan that day, as far as she knew.
Her eyes slightly narrowed as she took sight of the last five, huddled in a circle. Cinder Fall, Emerald Sustrai, Neopolitan Torchwick, and Melanie and Miltiades Malachite, the twins looking haunted and ruffled as the other three sat around them. They were silent, but Pyrrha could tell that they had given the pair some form of comfort.
But now, it was time to start the meeting.
She coughed into her hand, silencing the conversations and bringing attention to her. She gave everyone a pleasant smile. “Hello, everyone and welcome to a new meeting of FABJA. Tonight, we have two speakers who had an experience at the same time…” she glanced to the blushing twins, “Melanie? Miltiades? You have the floor.”
The twins looked at one another, both flushing horribly, before they spoke in tandem.
“It was earlier today…” they began,
~
Melanie and Miltiades groaned as they thumbed through the books on Valean History, having to do research for a combined project for Doctor Oobleck and Professor Port about Grimm Migration Habits and how they had impacted the creation of Vale.
So, here they were, browsing through at least fifty books with publication dates ranging from five years ago to before the Great War, some of which were rare since a lot of books had been destroyed in the effort to eradicate art itself. And they still needed more sources.
“I’ll go and see if there are any more books relating to the subject, Milty.” Melanie rose from her seat, happy for the excuse to stretch her legs and get away from the books that were currently turning her brains into soup. She swore at words and events were bouncing around and getting mixed up in her head. Which they probably were. She was smart, for sure, but History wasn’t her strong suit. Which is why she and Miltiades were doubling up on the project.
Stretching, Melanie felt her joints pop before she made her way down between the stacks of books, wondering what works would actually help with their project. As she walked down the stacks, she wondered if any of the books at all would be worthwhile to help with their project.
As she made her way through the stacks, she bumped into someone, both of them yelping as they managed to avoid falling over, Melanie wondering who she had hit, only to suck a breath in as she saw a blonde braid of hair, bright blue eyes, and curves that strained the uniform that they wore.
Melanie felt her cock chubbing and her balls gurgling in her panties already at the sight of Joan Arc standing before her, looking frazzled as well from the bump.
“Sorry, sorry!” Melanie blurted out, hoping that she hadn’t upset the beautiful girl that she and her sister had been wanting to get closer to.
Thankfully, the blonde only smiled. “It’s okay, Melanie, I wasn’t looking.” and boy, did the fact that the blonde recognized her off the bat sent her heart a flutter. “What are you looking for?”
“Miltia and I are working on that project that Port and Oobleck about how Grimm Migrations affected history. We’re hip deep in books and still need more sources…” Melanie sighed, shaking her head.
She forced the blush down as she saw Joan visibly brighten, her smile almost blinding in nature at this point. “Oh, yeah that was rough. Thankfully, I finished that a couple days ago!” Melanie blinked once, twice, three times. Then, Joan said the magic words, ones that sung like an angelic chorus in her head. “Would you like some help with getting a few more sources that you may not have?”
Melanie couldn’t nod her head fast enough. Getting to spend time with her cute crush and getting what she needed to finish this hellish project with her sister! Count her in!
She followed the bubbly blonde through the stacks, her eyes embarrassingly dropping below the waist immediately and following the swing of her hips. She tried to resist, but it was impossible. Joan’s hips and rear were fucking hypnotic; it was like watching a pendulum sway.
She felt some pain on the inside of her mouth, but assumed she bit herself by accident when they had collided. It couldn’t be anything else, after all.
Melanie whimpered as she felt her cock swell in her panties as she watched the sway and jiggle before her, her balls reminding her of the fact that neither she nor her sister had emptied themselves in the past couple of days, since they had been forced to focus on this project.
~
Miltiades buried her face in her hands. “That’s when Goodwitch asked me about scheduling our Semblance check…” she mumbled, the red of her cheeks bleeding through her hands.
“Wait...you mean you-” Yang was cut off by Melanie continuing, her voice shrill and echoing through the room.
“Anyway!!!”
~
Miltiades was wondering where her sister was, it having been several long minutes already, although she did understand that she probably was looking through the stacks for books, but that did not explain the sensations that their semblance was giving her.
A quick lance of pain, followed by a bubbling sense of arousal, making her cock bloat a little as blood rushed to it. She bit her lower lip as she tried to calm herself (and Melanie) down. The last thing either of them needed was for them to have an ‘attack’ in the library and be banned from it.
“Miss Malachite?” Miltiades was pulled from her thoughts as she heard a voice call out to her, and glanced up, swallowing hard as she saw Deputy Headmistress Goodwitch having walked up near her without her noticing.
“Yes, Professor Goodwitch?” she asked, biting the inside of her cheek again to try and signal to Melanie to knock it out, whatever it was that she was doing.
“Yes, I wanted to tell you and your sister that we have scheduled several tests to see if we can’t help you both with your semblance.” while Miltiades would feel relief at that statement, since Beacon’s idea of ‘training’ would be leagues more sane than Neo’s (despite how much it had helped), the rapidly building arousal in her belly, in her balls, was filling her with panic instead, and she was hoping that the damned signal was letting her sister know to stop whatever she was doing.
~
Melanie was in heaven. She was currently sitting at a table with her (and several others close by, but they didn’t count) and pouring over several books and taking notes with her. They were close enough that she could smell her, the scent of lemons and oranges tickling her nose. Part of her longed to ask if it was her natural scent or a perfume, but she refrained, feeling it would be too creepy.
She felt creepy enough with her cock being a steel beam underneath the table, practically touching the tabletop from the bottom as she listened to Joan’s voice and her eyes following her swaying boobs as she leafed through book pages.
She knew that she was in real trouble now, panic starting to hit her as she realized that she wouldn’t be able to get up at all if she needed to, and anyone looking under the table would see something incredibly embarrassing.
“-the Slaughter of Nevermore Ravine was called that due to well, the Mantle Army being stupid enough to go into a dry ravine and being pinned down and most of their forces impaled by Nevermore Pinions from the ones that were nesting there.”
Okay, Melanie knew that the subject matter was morbid, but hearing the beautiful girl saying the words ‘pinned down’ and ‘impaled’ put more intimate images in her head, ones where the girl speaking was ‘pinned down’ between her and Miltiades and ‘impaled’ on their cocks, squealing and writhing in pleasure as they fucked her.
She was only half listening now, vaguely noticing that the others around them had left, leaving them alone, which she was going to savor.
Melanie was pulled out of her thoughts as Joan suddenly put a hand over her mouth and yawned, her incredible bust pushing out against the button up top, straining it. Oh, how she wished that she could see under it…
POP! POP! POP! POP! “EEEP!”
Melanie’s eyes widened and her mouth fell open as the buttons on Joan’s top exploded off of her body, flying across the room and ‘plink’ing along the ground as Joan’s top opened up and her absolutely massive breasts spilled out, cradled in a lovely blue with yellow trim bra that looked like it was on its last legs holding her impressive proportions.
Joan immediately tried tugging her top closed back over her chest, but all she succeeded in doing was making her breasts jiggle in such a way that Melanie had no hope in keeping her arousal down. Standing, she covered her chest and rushed off, her skirt moving with enough force that she saw pure white silk before the blonde vanished into the stacks, leaving her alone.
Biting her lip, Melanie buried her face in her arms as her balls unloaded all over the floor beneath the table with extreme prejudice as she came with a muted scream of pleasure.
Through the pleasure, all Melanie could do was hope that Miltiades had managed to get somewhere without embarrassing herself…
~
Miltiades wanted to die. Why? Not only had something enticed her sister to an orgasm, but she had been hit as well due to the ‘looping’ effect of their arousal! That wouldn’t be too bad, but the fact of the matter was, she hadn’t been able to get away and to a private place in order to release!
The result?
She had cum, and not only had she absolutely ruined hours of their work, Professor Goodwitch stood still before her, frozen in shock, her face and chest splattered with her cum.
The silence was damning, before Glynda spoke, her voice dead. “We shall never speak of this, Miss Malachite. Please take your sister to the Infirmary at the appointment time next week.” the woman growled, before stalking off.
Miltiades dearly wanted to ask if she was actually going to walk the halls painted in her cum, but she wasn’t stupid. As it was, her balls were still emptying themselves, and her voice didn’t work anyway, so it was a moot point.
She groaned, face planting into the table, the cum soaked papers sticking to her cheek.
~
“And that’s what happened…” Miltiades groaned out, both herself and Melanie shuddering and cum seeping through their clothes as they remembered what had happened earlier.
While everyone was sympathetic at the story, there was one other pressing matter, a persistent thought that only one person dared ask.
“How did you survive jizzing all over Goodwitch!?” Yang blurted out, her own erection straining against her shorts.
Both siblings buried their faces in their hands, refusing to speak anymore.
Realizing that she had to get things back on track before they derailed (especially since Nora had that look in her eye that said that she was about to listen to impulsive thoughts, and Reese was squirming on Arslan’s lap) further than they already were, Pyrrha coughed into her hand and cleared her throat. “Okay!” she flushed a bit as she heard her voice reach a high pitch, but she soldiered on, “Yang, that was rude, you know the rules of this support group!” she saw Yang flinch, and looked back at the others. “Melanie, Miltiades, thank you for sharing, and I am sorry you had such an embarrassing experience. Let’s all retire for the night...we all need to get some rest, I believe.”
“...and we all need to dump out a few loads as well…” despite the fact that it was plainly Neon that muttered that, no one said anything.
It was very true, after all.

Ladybug Week Day 2: Vampire x Werewolf
Ruby smiled as she walked through the streets of Vale, her eyes looking at the windows of the buildings as she watched the sun set and keeping her umbrella open to provide enough shade until she could make it to the market before it closed for the night. It bothered her that she couldnt spend more time among the people that she protected, but she had made peace with that during her time at Beacon to become a huntress. She stopped at one of the stalls, carefully moving her umbrella to keep her hand in the shade as she reached for an apple and looked it over. “How much for four of them?”
“Three lien,” the merchant answered.
“Then I’ll take them,” Ruby said as she dug through her pocket to grab her card to pay. “And I’ll take a pound of strawberries too, please.”
The merchant nodded and started to bag the strawberries and apples. “You should hurry home before the sun sets. Its supposed to be a full moon tonight. You dont want to go missing like others last month.”
Ruby took the bag and looked up at the sky, watching the clouds as they moved overhead. “I think I’ll take my chances on that. I’m a huntress, so I can take care of myself.”
“Still, you’ll want to be careful. They say a monster lurks the streets.”
*Which is exactly why I want to be out here,* Ruby thought to herself as she walked away from the stalls, pulling out one of the apples and taking a bite. She paused for a moment, trying to savor the taste, though it didnt do much for her like it used to when she was younger. Still, it sated her enough to not have to feel like she had to feed on anyone and that was enough for her.
The sun finally set and the sounds of doors slamming shut filled the air of the empty streets. Ruby closed her umbrella and used her semblance to get to the top of the nearest building, rushing around in a flurry of bat-like petals that drifted in the air. She stopped her semblance once she reached her goal and closed her eyes to listen to the heartbeats of those that were near her. A racing heartbeat caught her attention and she lunged to action, nearly transforming into a bat mid semblance.
Once she reached the source of the heartbeat, she quickly ducked behind a building as she reformed from her semblance, fangs at the ready until she saw Blake staring at the night sky, waiting for a few clouds to move. “Blake?” Ruby asked as she pulled her fangs back. “Are you alright?”
“Y-yeah, everything is fine,” Blake said nervously as she turned around and gave a small smile, her eyes glancing between Ruby and the cloudy night sky. “What are you doing out here? I thought you’d be out on a mission for Ozpin.”
Ruby walked over to Blake and handed her an apple from her bag. “I got back last night. Just a quick search and destroy for some grimm that were causing problems for a village out near the border to Vacuo. Wasnt anything Yang and I couldnt handle quickly.”
Blake took the apple and stuffed it into a pocket as she went back to gazing at the clouds. “So why are you up so late? Out for your nightly stroll?”
“Something like that.” Ruby found a spot to sit down and looked up at the sky with Blake. “Rumor has it people are going missing. I want to find out what’s going on.”
“And… where did you hear that?”
Ruby paused for a moment as she heard Blake’s heart start to pound again, the heart beat almost calling to her. She licked her lips for a moment as her fangs instinctively started to show again. “From one of the merchants. What about you? Trying to do your usual stargazing?”
“S-something like that,” Blake said, her voice starting to grow shaky as she watched the clouds start to move and the first light of the moon start to show. “I… I need to go.”
“Wait Blake-” Ruby sighed as Blake took off running, using her semblance to jump around the rooftops. She took a deep breath and used her semblance to rush after Blake, dropping out periodically to keep to the rooftops. “Blake! Where are you going?!”
“You cant follow me!” Blake yelled out before finally stopping as the light of the moon hit her. “Shit… not now…”
Ruby finally caught up to Blake and slowly walked to her. “Blake, what’s going on? You’ve been avoiding me for months now, we never go stargazing anymore, never go on missions together… I’ve been missing you.”
Blake winced a bit as her bones started to crack as she shifted, her voice straining. “Ruby, you need to leave. Now.”
“Not until you tell me-” Ruby stopped as she watched Blake shift into a large wolf, taking a few steps back to take everything in as large, amber eyes stared back at her. “This… certainly explains a lot. Come on, we need to get you out of here before someone tries to hurt you.”
Blake whimpered a bit, backing up nervously.
Ruby followed her and gently pet her fur, letting her own fangs show. “I know a place in the forest we can go until the full moon is over. And then, you have a lot of explaining to do.”

Can we have Kela surprising The Bees and have her walk in on Blake and Yang when they are having some of their adult time?
This would definitely happen once or twice if not a dozen times. Sorry for the high level of adult themes to start in the response. My mind just went there.
WARNING!!! 18+ THEMES TO START!!!
*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*
Yang: (grunting and groaning as she sits on the edge of the bed with Blake in her lap, her hands on Blake's ass - helping her bounce up and down on her rock hard cock) This a good pace, babe?
Blake: (legs shaking and wrapped around Yang's waist as she rolls her hips into each thrust, her tits are bouncing in Yang's face, and her hands are clawing at her shoulders) Yes!~ Gods, yes!~
-Door Squeaks Open-
Kela: (peeks through the door while mostly hiding behind it) Mommy? Yang?
Blake & Yang: (freeze)
Blake: (looks over her shoulder in sheer terror but tries desperately to play it off) Kela! Sweetheart, what's wrong?
Kela: (blinks in confusion and cocks her head) What are you doing?
Blake: U-Uh..... We're... Um....
Yang: I'm showing your mommy a new wrestling move.
Blake: (stares at Yang in disbelief and mouths: "Wrestling?! What?!")
Yang: (mouths back: "I'm sorry! I panicked!)
Kela: (rubs the sleep from her eyes as she hangs on to Finn in her arms) Okay.... I had a bad dream....
Blake: Oh, sweetheart. (points to her robe hanging on the edge of the bed)
Yang: (leans back, grabs the robe, and flings it around Blake's body)
Blake: (winces as she pulls herself off of Yang's lap and quickly ties the robe shut before rushing over to Kela and holding her tight) Honey, what was the dream about?
Kela: (sniffs and shakes) I don't want to talk about it.... Can I sleep with you tonight?
Blake: Uh..... (glances over her shoulder to where Yang is pulling the last of her clothes on)
Yang: (finishes getting dressed and gives a thumb's up)
Blake: Uh-of course, sweetheart. Come on.
-Later-
Kela: (fast asleep in Blake's arms)
Blake: (sighs) Gods, that was mortifying....
Yang: (pressed up against Blake's back) Hopefully, she was mostly asleep and won't remember.
-Years Later-
Kela (16): (eating lunch and pauses mid bite as her face pales) They weren't wrestling...

A Strange Life: Chapter 14
Chapter 14
A New Beginning
The pool was so warm. I floated there, just enjoying it. Yang had been so surprised when I took off my clothes... but so willing to follow along. I turned to look at her... but I was treading water alone, the only sound an insistent beeping. Fuck. It’s time to wake up. I tried to reach over to slap the alarm, but something was holding me down. I struggled. I don’t want to wake up! Not yet. Five more minutes!
I opened my eyes and stared up at fluorescent bulbs. Those aren’t my lights. I turned my head, wincing at the stiffness and paused, a smile sneaking onto my lips. Yang was curled up on a chair, asleep. She was so beautiful. I licked my lips and was surprised at how dry my tongue felt. “Yang?”
The beeping was continuing, but it was starting to beep a bit faster now. That’s not an alarm. Wait. Where am I? I looked around. To one side and behind me there were monitors, one with green lines dancing in accord to the beeps. Oh. That’s right.
My eyes drifted back to Yang. You’re okay. You’re alive. My side itched and I tried to scratch it, only for feel something constraining my arm. I looked from side to side. I was constrained and I closed my eyes, tears welling. “Yang! Yang!” Yang’s eyes blinked open as I started pulling at the constraints. “Get me out of this! Please!” I pulled harder and felt her arms around me.
“Calm down, Blake! Calm down! It’s okay. It’s okay. You’re safe. You’re safe.”
I heard voices and looked up as a nurse rushed in. The beeping of my monitor was starting to race and she injected something into the IV. My brain started to feel mushy and I struggled hard, fighting the drugs. He waited on the other side of the drugs. I didn’t want to go there. I didn’t want to leave Yang.
Darkness claimed me again.
-
The beeping was still there. I shuddered, my eyes flickering open. Fluorescent bulbs met my eyes. I shifted my hand and felt a squeeze, and glanced over into concerned lavender eyes. “Blake?”
“Yang? Goddess, it’s really you?”
She laughed softly. “I’ve not been called a goddess before. I kind of like the sound of it.”
I blushed and licked my lips. “I’m thirsty.”
“Hold on,” she said, letting go of my hand. She reached over and grabbed a cup from an end table next to the bed. She brought one of those little sippy cups up to my lips. “Drink up, kit-cat.” I sipped the water, letting it swish around in my mouth, and swallowed. It trickled down my throat, almost burning. I took another sip and repeated the process, resisting the urge to just start drinking deeply.
“Okay. That’s enough,” I whispered. My throat was raspy, like I’d not spoken in weeks, and I glanced over at Yang again, though she seemed unchanged. At least her hair wasn’t down to her knees.
Yang eyed me and smiled. “Why the smirk? Not that I mind! It’s wonderful to see you smile again, Blakey.” Her hand slipped into mine again, her fingers entwining my own....
