there are two, count em, two fics where soldier either pops up in equestria or has just,,been here,, the whole time for no reason and those two fics have worked perfectly in their own way. now i love this au bc soldier is written in character and yet he still cares and learns a lesson and its SAPPY and SWEET.

his eyebrows furrowed and brought you closer to him. your head rested against his wet, cold chest but no it wasnt hold. not in the slightest. every touch with him was warm, even in this situation. everything was perfect. the setting of course, the beach was gorgeous and the sunset made everything feel so romantic. the weather, it was warm and cozy for the time being. yet your favorite part? the boy.

up until now, wanderer had simply talked with you because you were the only one around and weren't as annoying as anyone else. sometimes, you worked together because nahida asked you to accompany him on some mission. but that was it. he was sure he was always careful around you, and you wouldn't have time to put some spell on him that makes him want to wake up with you and eat breakfast together (even though he doesn't really eat. he'd probably just sit and watch you eat).

thats not all he's been thinking about either. some times he finds himself daysreaming about taking walks with you outside the sanctuary of surasthana, or what is it that makes that coy but knowing smile of yours appear on your face. what started the little habits that still present themselves in you now.

wanderer tries to do some digging on what kind of magic you used on him to make him start thinking about you so much, but all he gets is romance books and sappy poems about love. one time, he was forced to listen to some old doctor tell him about how he met and fell in love with his wife all because he went to see if what he was feeling was an illness instead.

wanderer who gives up trying to find out whats wrong with him on his own and, finally, asks nahida for help, because if she can't find anything then maybe it's hopeless.

all for her to tell him that he's not cursed or ill, he just cares about someone.

wanderer, now very confused, outright rejects the idea.

who cares if, now that the idea is in his head, he's wondering what you would do if he told you how he felt. or would you figure it out yourself without him even mentioning it. unfortunately, for a human, you were rather smart.

it doesn't matter that he's imagining you smiling brightly at him, or you leaning on his shoulder, or you trusting him enough to fall asleep in his lap, knowing he'll watch over you.

wanderer who now tries to avoid you, making it way too obvious and you notice it right away.

of course it's normal that he doesn't like being around people, but seeing him literally leave a room just because you, specifically, entered is a little worrying.

wanderer dodging your questions as you run after him, wondering what you did or if something happened, refusing to even look at you.

because when he finally does look at you and he sees that worried expression you have on your face, an unfamiliar pit in his stomach forms and he knows that nahida is right. that old doctor with his love story is right. all those stupid books and cheesy poems that made him gag were right.

wanderer cares about you and is stupidly, hopelessly in love with you. and he hates it.

for train ride home pt 2, it could be sappy "ive been taking this bus everyday to find you" but that doesnt seem to be the goal here

maybe you see each other in passing? he sees you, pulls you into an alleyway or something and youre about to panic when you realize its the hot perv from the bus. maybe he goes to walk away after and youre like "can i at least get your name"or something which is still kinda cheesy lmao.

in my head, its giving "i fucked this person once and i see them walking home so maybe i should do it it again". its not really giving much like "omg we should date" to me. so i think IF you were to do a second part, it could lean more toward a second encounter. but thats a strong if because to me, it doesnt need a part 2. i dont feel unsatisfied with the ending.

a major thing for fics is to either have a good, bad, or sad ending, but you wrote something different. im not sad, or mad. its kinda like "im unhappy that they didnt speak up" but its not the type of situation that would end in a date to me. im satisfied with them parting ways. i think that would require A LOT of thought to get it on the same level as train ride home.

*a pidge was a person to bring the illegal goods people request to get outside satellite.

Great I was the Judai 2.0 (no offense Judai is my spirit animal) but he could have said “like Silver Midnight or spark like Solar Blaze…” oh yeah the living dream. Kuri kuri. Cant complain to the guy cause his life line is “there is no useless card”…

You know what else is cute? Yusei trying to pronounce words in my language gosh thats so darn cute. (I was the first one who said “I love you”…in dutch…cause I didnt want him to know cause it was really early and the moment felt like that and I started saying it anytime I left him as a secret reminder he is loved…without him actual knowing what I said.)

The jester man seems quite cool, I am interested in the *MatPat voice* LORE of him as I both really like fantasy and really like theme parks :D

ohhhh you are so sweet!!!!! i am VERY glad to see another fantasy AND theme park fan ;w;

i can try and... summarize (<- is bad at that) bc this theme park in particular decided to give him quite the bit of lore sjkdhfsdk

so the e/fteling (thats the theme park) is connected via Magic to s/ymbolica. s/ymbolica is like. a whole other world lol. with other planets around it as well. p/ardoes is one of the residents of s/ymbolica but is also the mascot/protector of the e/fteling in the sense that he's there to protect imagination and keep it alive! which IS cheesy and sappy etc etc but i am the type of dweeb who falls for that

he's also like. an orphan. lol. was found as a baby in The Misty Woods and taken care of by his "godmother" though it makes more sense if she's just his adoptive mom lol

he has a gift for magic so in order to develop those skills and all that he studies as an apprentice to what is basically like. the head wizard. he's training to be his successor!

he's the jester to the castle of h/artenhof (where the king and princess of s/ymbolica live of course) which is where Head Wizard is as well. p/ardoes has his own little room in the castle with very cool things like a magic telescope and star motifs and books and lots of cool fantasy-flavored stuff. he studies/practices there a lot

there are some other characters too! both evil and good and for the most part very fun characters. the princess is definitely supposed to be his love interest but that's ok we're deciding that's not canon. she is cool tho i like her a lot!

the castle functions very similar to the d/isney parks castles! u walk into the park and see it as like an icon of said park. however this castle is also the entrance to the ride called s/ymbolica which is one of the best rides i've ever seen lol also his animatronic is. cute

and naturally he. is very prone to wanting to get people to laugh or smile or whatever. he appears as a meetable character in the park and it's very cute ;w; he's very very sweet and if he really is meant to protect imagination and magic and aaaaall that my god. he's doing a great job (<- is literally gay)

Chris apparently "I want what Sherry and Leon have" and went about it in the worse bad way (Sherry Birkin is in RE2 and she has powers/ lowkey abilities after being infected and cured of it) Leon and Sherry did see each other in RE6 (but somehow avoided mentioned Claire... thats bs I'll just say that)... also the "we have a clear shot line" is so much worse now and the "you're needed Eveline" is bad... side note I love how goofy the memory attached to the bottle in the Winters House is

In a way I find it kind of hilarious what they're doing with Chris, because unless any later games involve the Winterses in any manner, I won't even bother learning anything about the rest of the games, and it might be there where Chris might get some development on his very questionable decisions in RE8 and the DLC. So I'll be left with the thought that Chris was an insensitive idiot for no goddamn reason and I'll never look back in anything RE because I'm just not invested enough in the rest of the franchise. And I'm pretty sure Capcom knows there are people who are exactly like me and who they'll lose if they just shrug off Mia and Rose and instead have re7 and re8 as a mere stepping stone for Chris' character fallout. I just kind of find it ridiculous if that was what they were going for. Otherwise they made Chris an insensitive idiot for no goddamn reason ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

And yeah omg I was a little disappointed the post credits scene didn't show it was actually Ethan walking towards the car, but the whole scene has a whole new light now with what we know of the DLC. Rose willingly working for Chris' team but they still have a sniper trained on her at all times?? With Chris' questionable behavior, it's not a stretch to think he might have actually become a villain by this point and full-on using Rose (and betraying Ethan's trust and last request to him). And the Eveline part... Because Rose saw with her eyes what Eveline tried to do, and them "joking" about it? After she had spent her childhood being bullied for her powers, now willingly using them to help them and they still bully her about it?

And that is supposed to be the end? Oh Capcom you silly little goose :)

Like honestly even after my first impression of the DLC I wasn't sure they would do a Chris corruption route... But honestly all this would be a pretty good setup for that. Maybe that's why he's keeping her away from Mia, to alienate her from any family and make her feel unwanted and unlovable, practically making Eveline 2.0 but this time making Rose trust him... I mean the other guy did call her Eveline to her face... Maybe it's more than just a joke, maybe they call her that because that's how they see her 🙃 then I'd say it's a very good thing Rose keeps some parts of her powers a secret from Chris.

I mean that's all just a theory, I don't know anything about the other games and their story, I may be overestimating the writers and/or seeing things that aren't there. I am sorry Chris fans. I'm just having Thoughts™.

That memory with the bottle is pure Ethan cheesiness. "She just cannot get enough of this stuff! :D" in casual sappy Ethan fashion. His other memories are cute and emotional or just him wondering how she'll be like when she grows up, and this one is just "Look at my baby girl she loves drinking milk isn't she amazing!!". God idk what they're doing with Chris and what I'm supposed to think they're doing, but with Ethan they knew what they were doing and they knew what we wanted. He barely has any spoken lines and he expresses so many emotions in his words, I love him so much 🥹

Every Friday at exactly 3:50 pm Draco makes sure to kiss Harry.

Every Friday. He hasn’t been late once either. Because Draco always drops everything he’s doing, no matter what he’s doing, to go and look for Harry. It’s not that easy sometimes. Harry has a job that, unlike Draco’s, requires him to actually leave the house. Whenever Draco shows up at his workplace, Harry’s face lightens up. He has never complained about Draco interrupting his work. Not once.

Even when they’re fighting and they’re both in a bad mood, they briefly forget about it when it’s 3:50 on a Friday. Like right now. They had an argument last night about Harry getting a motorcycle. Draco just doesn’t get why Harry would want to spend that much money on something that will probably kill him. They both fell asleep with a scowl on their face and they didn’t talk while eating breakfast. Harry left the house while Draco was reading the paper.

But now, as Draco stands in front of him, Harry is smiling at him fondly. Merlin, Draco just never tires of that smile. Even after all these years.

He glances at the clock and sees it’s 3:49. His eyes find Harry’s and they hold so much love, it makes Draco shudder. He takes Harry’s hands in his and pulls him closer. When his lips brush Harry’s, a familiar feeling washes over him. It’s warm and invigorating, reassuring and exhilarating. Kissing Harry will never fail to consume and mesmerize Draco.

Harry leans away again and brushes his thumb over Draco’s cheek.

“I still have a bit of work to do, but I’ll try to be home early, okay?”

“Okay,” Draco whispers, his eyes still closed.

He feels Harry kiss the tip of his nose and can’t help but grin. He pulls Harry back into a tight embrace and relishes the feeling of Harry’s body shaking against his, as Harry laughs out loud.

“I love our Friday afternoon kisses,” Harry murmurs.

“I love them, too.”

Draco really does. Because it was 3:50 pm on a Friday afternoon when Harry Potter said “I do” and kissed Draco for the first time as his husband.
