Summary: After a fight unresolved, you’re left to wonder if there is even a relationship anymore to salvage

“Oh my god, Y/n! Please, how many times are we going to have to go through this?” Seungmin asked you with wide eyes, his hands running through his hair for the nth time that night making it look wild and unruly.

“Until you prioritize me for once in your life!” You shouted back at him. Your voice was strained, and it came out sounding more like a plea, desperate to get him to understand how you felt.

You weren’t sure how long the two of you had been fighting for, but it felt like hours of just going in circles. You weren’t even sure what exactly started it, but the second you got to the root of the problem, everything seemed to unravel from trying to pretend that it was all fine for so long. You were in a standoff in the middle of the kitchen with him on one side of the island and you on the other, creating the distance that you had been starting to feel inside. You had tried to be patient with Seungmin, but it felt like the more you ignored it, the more he stopped even trying.

He let out a long and frustrated sigh, “why are you being so needy and unreasonable? You know that I’m an idol. You know that I have a lot of responsibilities. I try to give you as much attention as I can. Why isn’t that enough for you?” Seungmin was always trying to maintain an even tone during an argument, but you could tell this one was wearing the both of you thin. It scared you a bit as the thought of this being the final argument played in the back of your mind.

You scoffed disbelievingly at his words. You had no time to feel hurt by his accusations as you only felt anger simmering inside you from him not willing to see it from your perspective. “Needy? Unreasonable? Seungmin, you really think this is all about attention? This is the third time you’ve stood me up on a date. We haven’t properly gone out as a couple in over a month!”

“You think I want to? I’m busy, Y/n! I thought you knew what you were getting into when we started dating.” He threw his hands up in frustration as he offered you the same excuse as he always did.

“The Seungmin I started dating actually made me feel like his girlfriend! You put me on the backburner for everything these days, not just work. Am I so wrong for wanting to feel important to you?” All of your emotions were starting to bubble over, and you could feel the hot tears welling in your eyes. You swallowed thickly and clenched your fist, trying to stay in control.

Seungmin leaned back against the cabinets with his arms folded. He was silent for a moment with your collective breathing being the only sound in the room. His head was bowed as he pinched the bridge of his nose, “You are important to me, Y/n.” He said, stressing each word firmly before looking at you again. “I don’t know what else you want me to do. I can’t just ignore my career for you.”

You dragged both hands down your face, “You’re not listening to me!”

“I am listening to you, but you’re not being fair!” he volleyed back defensively.

You laughed sardonically as you took in the absurdity of looping back through another circle. “I can’t do this anymore,” you rubbed your temples as you started to pace.

“Do what? This relationship?” Seungmin asked you bitterly. You froze in your spot, and the tension in the room was palpable. Were you both really calling your relationship into question? Had it really gotten that far?

Your heart was quickening in pace at the thought, and it was getting harder to breathe. You were trembling from all the pent up emotion, and you tried to take a deep breath before facing Seungmin again. He was watching you closely with his eyebrows furrowed, and the hurt you saw reflected in his eyes made your anger slightly recede. “No, Seungmin,” you started defeatedly, with your shoulders slumping. “I just need a break.”

“A break,” Seungmin repeated before it was his turn to laugh sardonically and shake his head. “You know what, fine. I’ll go.” He grumbled as he grabbed his keys with urgency and stalked over to the doorway.

You just watched as he quickly slipped on his shoes and paused as he reached for the door handle. He tilted his head up, and you could see his eyes were glossy as his bangs fell away from his face. It felt like a knife was twisting in your heart as you clearly saw how torn up he looked in that moment, seconds from breaking down like you. You wanted to reach out to him, but you couldn’t say anything as he took a deep breath and walked through the door.

The air was stiff with finality as the sound of him harshly closing your door reverberated off the walls. As soon as he was gone, you crumpled to the floor and hugged your knees to your chest, and you purged yourself of the tears and frustration. Sobs wracked your body as you thought back on everything that had just happened, and how much it hurt you that Seungmin couldn’t just tell you what you needed to hear. You just needed to know that your relationship was worth making time for to him, but he did little to reassure you.

The feeling of Seungmin’s absence was overwhelming, and you couldn’t do anything to ease the sense of dread from the thought of losing him. You felt as weak as a puddle on the floor as you cried until you could only hiccup, and your head was pounding. You mustered up the strength you could to get yourself up only to bury yourself under the covers in your bed to block out the rest of the world. Not even sleep offered you comfort as your dreams were plagued with memories shared with Seungmin.

Seungmin and you were alike in so many ways that he made you believe in twin flames and soulmates. You both have the same way of thinking, you both reach the same conclusions, and overall you both just have the same perspective. You understood each other on a level that you had never felt understood with anyone else, but it also meant you shared the same flaws. Right now, you were worried that being such mirrored souls would be what caused the end of your relationship.

You were both stubborn and hated admitting when you were wrong, so making up after a fight was always another struggle until eventually you both caved in. This fight had been different though. When you and Seungmin had parted ways, you weren’t even sure if there was still a relationship to be mended. You were hesitant to reach out as you replayed the argument in your head, but the moment that stuck with you the most was the look in Seungmin’s eyes before he walked out, making you doubt if he even wanted you to reach out. So you waited, and when a week went by without communication, you were feeling like you had your answer.

You had just been going through the motions of life ever since then, and if you did feel something other than miserable, it was just numb. With each day that passed that your and Seungmin’s relationship was still in the air, you felt that hope slipping further and further away from you that it was just another bump in the road. You had been with him for over a year, and you couldn’t just forget the plans and promises you made together. For the first time, you had wanted it forever.

Some of the members had guessed that something was wrong between you and Seungmin with how long he was staying at the dorm and tried to check up on you, but you didn’t have the energy. You were just tired, and everyday you came home and crawled right back into bed, hoping to finally get some proper rest. However, your heart didn’t agree with your head as it couldn’t stop waiting for Seungmin until your eyes welled with tears and spilled down your cheeks. That’s where you were when you heard another knock on your door, and you groaned as you dragged yourself out of bed. Assuming it was one of the members again, you quickly tried your best to make yourself look presentable.

You took a deep breath to open the door, only to have it stolen by who greeted you on the other side. “Seungmin?” You asked tentatively, your voice barely a whisper, almost afraid that he was just a mirage curated to console your heart ache.

“Bubs,” he said, voice just as delicate and wavering slightly. The pet name made you feel a pang of sadness in your chest, but also a sense of relief in the same moment. He took a shaky breath, “can we… can we talk?” He looked up through his bangs with wide, pleading eyes and a tilt of his head that made him look like a wounded puppy.

All you could do was nod and step aside to let him in, still trying to process he was here, and you felt a sliver of hope for the first time since he walked out. You softly closed the door and took a second to gather your courage as you turned to face him. You crossed your arms over your chest, waiting for him to continue, but you could tell that he was nervous from his hands fidgeting with the hem of his t-shirt. When his eyes met yours again, they looked tired and sad.

He looked as afflicted as you felt inside, and you wondered if he’s been going through the same struggle as you had this week. “I’m… I’m sorry,” he started, shoulders slumping as he looked deflated. “I know I haven’t been the best boyfriend lately, and I’m sorry for not listening to you.” His eyebrows were furrowed and lips parted as he collected himself to continue. “But I meant it when I said you were important to me, and if you forgive me…” He took a cautious step towards you and gently took your hand in his, “I’ll do everything that I can to prove that to you. I love you, Y/n. Please forgive me?” His voice slightly cracked as he asked you the question, looking up at you with tears welling in his eyes.

“I love you too,” you said softly, looking back at him with round, vulnerable eyes. The corners of his mouth turned up a little in a small smile, and your heart picked up pace with how much you’ve missed him. “I want to make this work with you.”

At your words, he pulled you into a tight embrace, and your body fit perfectly against his as he wrapped his arms securely around you. He cradled your head softly with his fingers tangling in your hair, and you buried yourself in his neck, letting his comforting scent wash over you. He let out a shaky breath, and you felt his body shiver against you as he laughed in relief, “I want to make this work too, more than anything. I can’t lose you, bubs.” His voice was still raspy with emotion.

You pulled back to gaze into his eyes again, seeing nothing but love filling in the deep dark depths of them. You cupped the sides of his face with both hands, “never.” You reassured him before leaning in to give him a sweet, tender kiss on his soft lips, conveying all the love and longing you have felt. It was balm for your soul as you felt him kiss you back, warm hands gripping your waist with a familiarity that you craved. You finally felt peace in his arms, knowing this wasn’t the fight that ended everything, but the one that would make everything stronger in the end.

It feels like I've been working on this literally forever now haha. Anyone who’s been following me since my Deviantart days might know who this character is, but for those who don’t, she’s a My Little Pony OC I made back in 2013 based off the Tree of Harmony from the G4 cartoon. I’ve had these sketches sitting on my computer for way too long and finally decided to push myself and finish this “ultimate ref sheet” for her while adding in some minor design updates. Took the time to rewrite her backstory info listed below. Please check it out if you’ve got a moment! This character means a lot to me and one day soon I plan on trying to animate her. :)

________________________________________________________ ✨ Harmony is the Tree of Harmony in mind, body and soul. ✨ Brought into existence as a magic sapling by the Pillars of Equestria before they sealed themselves away with the Pony of Shadows, the Tree of Harmony has been the silent protector of Equestria for thousands of years. Over time, artifacts grown from her branches called the Elements of Harmony were discovered by the royal sisters Princess Luna and Princess Celestia and used to battle many foes threatening the world with evil ambitions and dark magic. Years passed since the events of Discord being sealed away by the elements along with the banishment of Nightmare Moon, and for a time the elements laid dormant and mostly forgotten about. These powerful artifacts would eventually find their way into the hooves of the modern day Mane 6 as the current bearers and defenders of the realm with renewed purpose. However, the more the elements were used, the more of a magical imprint was left on them from their wielders when returned back to the Tree time and time again. The magic of these ponies’ friendships paired with their strong unique personalities ended up being a powerful catalyst, granting the Tree not only sentience, but a will to live and grow beyond her crystal body rooted to the ground. No longer content as merely an observer and guiding hoof for Equestria, the Tree crafted herself a new form to mimic the very beings that shared with her their love, care and adoration for the realm they protected against the darkness. Thus the Tree of Harmony became known as the living spirit “Harmony” ________________________________________________________ ✨ List of general information about Harmony ✨

- Her design elements are based off of more traditional unicorns with a long lion like tail, unshorn fetlocks, and split hooves. Her horn also mimics the branch shapes on the Tree of Harmony. - Her hooves and headband are made entirely out of crystal, just like the Tree itself was. If either gets chipped or cracked, she can repair it fairly easily. - Her hair flowers can be gifted to others if she so wishes. They grow back quickly when removed. They’re also magical and won’t wilt unless drained of magic. Flowers sometimes grow on the ground trailing behind her too. - She’s quite tall and sometimes forgets that when interacting with others. This can lead to some very funny, but awkward moments. - She gives great hugs, though she has to be mindful of her own size and strength when doing so. - She cannot leave the Everfree forest unless part of her magic remains behind so that the forest doesn’t grow out of control. (Can be either the Elements of Harmony left in her place or half of her natural magic in the form of a sapling) - Twilight and Spike were the first ones to find her when she created her new equine form. It was quite shocking to say the least seeing the Tree of Harmony moving around and talking to them. - She doesn’t understand social cues at first and relies on mimicking bits and pieces of the Mane 6′s personalities. But she’s still openly friendly and curious about the world around her. - She’s extremely protective of the Mane 6 on an instinctual level and will directly challenge a perceived threat to them unless talked down. - The Pillars of Equestria are basically her parents since their elements made her. She’s very fond and protective of them as well once they return from being trapped in limbo with the Pony of Shadows. - When using strong magic, her eyes glow light blue with whited out pupils. It’s a little unsettling and intimidating to look at. - Her magic is definitely a bit OP, but her full power is limited to the Everfree forest for the time being. Regardless, she has the advantage on her home turf if the need ever arises to defend herself or others. - She is however susceptible to different types of dark magic if her body is injured badly enough. No one knows what would happen if Harmony was ever corrupted by dark magic and they’d rather not find out ever. - The creation of her new form takes place sometime between season 5 and season 7 before the Pillars return, but after Tirek is defeated by the Mane 6.

I finally finished the piece for @prince-liest's OC, Tzafael! this really reminded me of how fun character design is (and also that I've completely forgotten how to make digital art, but that's besides the point...) <3

credit to @hogbogglerspirits for the umbrella design! I kind of butchered it so please look at the original and throw lots of love at them

notes about making the digital drawing:

holy shit this took me forever -- I was not kidding about forgetting how to make digital art lmao. I forgot how much less forgiving digital lines are and genuinely lost the spoons to even attempt lineart, hence just a sketch below the colors.

some of you might've seen the original sketch I sent to prince, which the digital version diverges from just a little. it's mostly the halo which I'll explain later, and I finally caved and drew the sixth eye (you can tell I drew and erased it multiple times in the sketch lmao -- still don't know if I prefer it with or without)

here's the original color ref by the lovely @gendermeh! my color scheme ended up looking really different, so some notes about that:

I was looking at references for magpies like this

and I wanted to basically follow that color scheme while also being somewhat similar to the original -- dark head/shoulders --> dark top of the jacket, bright blue wings --> bright blue bottom of the jacket, greenish tailfeathers --> green pants, hints of purple --> purplish sleeve and pant ends

I also tried (and mostly failed, let's be real) to capture the iridescence of the feathers -- they look like oil spilled on the pavement or iridescent hematite to me! I think the key ended up being adding bright greens/purples and roughly blending them into the blues or vice versa but I didn't really figure that out until I got to the pants lol.

I'm gonna be honest; I don't remember why I went with this shape for the tailcoat. I just remember being unhappy with the sketch and then trying a bunch of different shapes that mostly looked worse lol -- I think I landed on this because a split tail kind of looks like wings?

KEPT the shoes -- absolutely magnifique. I wish I knew how to color gold better.

added lots of jewelry! they like shiny things :)

ALSO PLEASE LOOK AND APPLAUD ME. I FINALLY REMEMBERED TO LABEL MY LAYERS!! NO I DON'T REMEMBER WHY THE HALO HAS ITS OWN LAYER.

alright, time for some more design notes/explanations + draft sketches!

but first, a couple disclaimers:

I want to make it very clear that I LOVE everything about the original design. I made a lot of changes based on personal preference/the way I interpreted the character. I was actually planning on making a digital piece that was more faithful to the original design too, but I was just out of spoons for it cause of life stuff.

you probably shouldn't try to read the notes I made in the sketches I'm about to show you unless I say otherwise. most of it is incoherent brain vomit in illegible artist handwriting and I'll transcribe/explain the stuff I think is important :) (the stuff in quotes are direct transcriptions of my notes)

I know my sketches are very messy lol. I only draw for fun, so I usually don't force myself to make stuff any neater than necessary unless it's supposed to be a formal piece. try to bear with me.

my first few sketches of them! (I think?) this was before I sent prince a laundry list of questions so I was still trying to get a vibe

"magpie -- beak lips?" -- you'll see this in a few sketches; I considered giving them the lipstick design that velvette has since it looks like a beak. I still kind of think it's cute, but 1) I'm pretty sure velvette is the only character that has them, so I didn't want to make it seem like they were related somehow and 2) I thought it might be distracting with how much other crazy stuff I ended up including in their head/face

also, sidenote since it's relevant to what I said about vel: something I realized was important is how one character's design relates to the designs of the rest of the cast. I wasn't sure how much I should've gone for what looked good in a vacuum, how much should be based on what other characters looked like canonically, or what other characters would look like if I also designed them. it ended up being mostly the second option, but it was honestly still a struggle. should I take away some of the tumblr-sexyman-ness (no shade to tumblr sexymen; I love them) because there are other characters that already have it? should I relate their design to sera's and emily's in the show or should I think about how I would've designed sera and emily? should I follow some of the design philosophy of the original show and just throw stuff on there because it looks cool (the answer is yes btw)? decisions, decisions ...

I don't think this showed up really well in most of the drawings, but they actually have a black line down their nose! let's take a look at sera:

since they're siblings, I wanted to include some similar facial markings. the nose line ended up being the only thing I kept though -- I was going to include freckles, but I have a compulsive need to give every character giant bottom lashes so there ended up being no room T.T I like that the magpie's hints of purple kind of match hers tho!

the wingification of the hair begins! I was still unsure of it at this point, but it was an idea I had since I was kind of struggling with how straight the feathers were in the original.

"maybe the ones on their head count as wings (so only one main pair)" -- I originally just had the 2 pairs of wings on their head, so I was thinking of just giving them 1 pair on their back so there would be still be 6 total. also this middle drawing of them is meant to be their exorcist outfit (I wanted it to be a cross between what the other exorcists wear and sera's outfit)

at this stage, I was thinking of giving them more magpie-like characteristics, so I looked at some references and tried to emulate them in a more human design. this ended up being really awkward so I scrapped it, but I still like the idea that their exorcist mask looks like a bird (kind of like a plague doctor's)

peekaboo! I love the idea of them using the wing hair to cover their eyes lol. (ended up using that idea for my own seraph OC since that's their biblically accurate purpose: to cover their eyes/faces in reverence/humility -- doesn't really fit with tzafael tho lol, so they show their face most of the time)

an eyeball in the bowtie -- pretty self-explanatory. the eyeball motif is important.

the one in the middle is just me practicing drawing the original design, and the one on the right is another exorcist outfit I think. I wanted to include the diamond motif/points that sera has on her dress (the diamonds on the bottom turn into eyeballs, which is why the final design also has eyeballs on tzafael's sleeves/pants)

lots of notes on the side based on what prince said in response to my ask

"localized omniscience (power of sight) -- cool + ironic that their sight was supposed to serve God but made them see Heaven for what it really is instead"

another exorcist outfit, this time including the feathers

I was also experimenting with the halo; I was trying to make it look sort of like sera's crown, but that didn't feel right ...

some practice with eyes -- my style is pretty flexible with eye shapes, so I try to make them suit the character. I drew lute's eye and also an actual magpie's as references -- lute's because of the exorcist background and also because they looked appropriately sharp, magpie's for obvious reasons. once again, my compulsive need for giant bottom lashes strikes

there was honestly a lot to balance with the eyes -- I wanted them to look condescending/bored (lowered top lid) but also amused (raised bottom lid) and like a magpie (round) but also harsh/mischievous (sharp, maybe slit pupils like a snake) and similar to sera's (but not too decorated -- also does it make sense for them to look like sera's if emily's don't even look like sera's?)

considered having wings on the shoulders -- the magpie pattern is super cool, so it would've been nice to have that somewhere more explicitly in the design. I still think that might fit in an outfit they would wear in heaven (maybe for formal occasions)

the introduction of the sweatervest! honestly I kind of love this for the way it captures more of the preppy, spoiled old-money upper-class vibe some heaven residents have, but it was scrapped since I couldn't imagine them wearing that while trying to scare the denizens of hell. maybe something they wear casually though.

"yes nictating membrane (on every eye!)" -- AHH I'm so sad I didn't end up putting this to use. I just feel like the whole effect is based on actually seeing them blink, and I don't animate lol.

ugh, the nefarious laughter one ... don't worry I tried harder on a sketch later on lol.

"like the diamonds on Sera + Em" + "diamonds turn into eyes?" -- I draw the diamonds on the sweatervest turning into eyes later.

tried an actual bow instead of a bowtie -- very cute but didn't fit the vibe.

a skirt! I think they would wear a skirt sometimes.

"FUCK ASS BOB" -- asghdk the wingification of the hair continues. unfortunately, I'm realizing at this point that the silhouette of the hair is starting to look a lot like alastor's. I gave a very half-hearted attempt at mitigating this, but it goes back to the thing of how much I am obligated to the original show's designs and what looks cool to me -- I think the wing hair fits them and I didn't want to change it because of alastor, plus my alastor design actually has completely different hair anyway. I did add a third pair to the back to look like a ponytail though.

introduction of the scarf! I was actually going to include this in the final design but uh,,, I forgor. are you starting to see a pattern.

the reason for the scarf is that the "tzafael going to places they know they'll draw attention/can incite chaos" reminded me of that scene in avengers where loki walks into a fancy building looking pretentious af and just casually stabs a guy's eye out. not really the same thing but I felt like the vibe matched. hence, loki's funny little scarf fit.

uaoughdfjh it was SO FUN to draw the wing hair, and it was at this point that I realized they had to stay even though I wasn't sure if it was too different from the original.

gossiping with rosie cause that's the first person I thought of -- tzafael also summoned a pearl necklace to clutch because of the sheer drama of it all (your ex-husband did what??)

also started drawing the rings on their hands. magpie like shiny.

lots of notes cause I was trying to compile the things I still needed to think about/incorporate into the final (I thought this was gonna be the last draft ... haha)

trying to include more bird/eye motifs

"fish ... purse?" -- ha! I forgot I was gonna give them a fish purse. I think I drew that in a later sketch, but not them wearing it.

"picked up Hellish traits bc of extended stay -- existential crisis?" -- I asked prince about the sharp teeth, and their answer implied that they became sharp as they stayed in hell longer, which got me thinking ... I feel like that's actually a great body horror concept. lucifer falling and looking like a normal angel at first, eventually waking up to more and more devilish features and feeling more and more like he's lost his home and his past self ... spooky.

another exorcist outfit -- I actually really like the eyes on the ribs! I never made a final draft for the exorcist uniform, but it would probably look close to what I drew here.

the one on the bottom was meant to be similar to the feathered shoulder pad idea, but this time with the whole magpie (with giant eyes). tried putting the "freckles" (really just dots in this case) over their brows, but that ended up looking kinda weird.

the eye is pretty close to the final design

the one on the right was supposed to be the full final design, but I was totally off lol -- the long trench coat really doesn't give off the right vibe at all

playing around more with the loki vibes of the scarf, also added an eyeball to the chest

I never got happy with the design of the back of the coat -- I think it should probably just be blank at this point. but the sketch here is meant to look like wings/tailfeathers.

yet another exorcist outfit, this time with more magpie motifs. I actually like this one a lot, but I probably should've added the eyes on the ribs from the last sketch. I think I also considered giving them actual tailfeathers at this point.

this is after I finished the sketch for the final piece and realized I didn't like the halo design. I drew lute's, sera's, em's, and adam's as refs. (honestly I love the show's idea that each person/people of each rank have a different kind of halo -- I wonder if they can switch them out?)

my main inspiration ended up being the exorcist halo, but I made it look more like an eyeball -- since it always points toward heaven, we can say it's always "looking" at heaven.

(also sera's feather lashes! they're so cute)

Could you write something for Jess Park since she got her england call up recently. Maybe with reader being a starter on the team and taking Jess under her wing and then they catch feelings for each other?

Finally - Jess Park

(Based on the England vs USA game on Friday 7th October 2022.)

It was currently the 65th minute of a gruelling game against the USA. After Lucy got kicked in the head you were furious that play didn't get stopped and made it your mission to score as much as you possibly could.

After Georgia scored the penalty that the ref took forever to say we could have, you tried to make sure you were open for the ball so you could try to run with the ball so you could score at least one goal.

Lucy stopped yet another attempt on goal by the USA and saw that you were open, she pinged the ball over to you as you started to slowly run to get the ball which you did successfully.

You had the ball at your feet while rapidly running towards the opposition's goal and dribbling gracefully around USA players. You were at the final stretch to the goal so you kicked the ball as powerfully as you possibly could but Dunn ran at you to stop the ball but she missed the ball completely and ended up banging each other's knees with a lot of power.

So much power that you collapsed to the floor screaming in agony. It sounded so heartbreaking that it made everyone rush over to you while you were crying while holding your leg. “No…” Sobbing as you knew what had happened, it was your ACL again.

“Give her some room.” Lucy says as she bends down to talk to you and holds the hand that wasn’t holding your leg. “Is it what I think it is, mate?” She asks you sadly as you nod your head. “Of fucking course it’s my ACL! The physio said it was too early to come back but I insisted that it was fine, I should’ve listened. FUCK!” You punch the ground angry at yourself for insisting you were ready to come back when you definitely weren’t.

The Medic’s come over and assess you quickly before giving you some pain relief which makes you quite loopy as it starts to kick in which is when you hear that Jess Park is subbing in for you. “Tell Jess that she is going to be amazing please?” You ask Lucy as the Medics start to take you off of the pitch to the ambulance that was on standby.

It felt like it took hours to get to the hospital when in reality it only took 15 minutes to get there and once you did you hated it because you knew that your worst fear was going to be confirmed.

They did the surgery on your leg later that night and the first person that you saw when you woke up was Jess, she was curled up on one of the smallest chairs in the room. You saw that there was a pen which you assumed was the nurses, you took it and aimed for Jess and threw it at her.

Jess shot up and looked directly at you, shocked that you were awake already. “You’re awake!” She said as she pulled the chair that she was asleep on over to the side of the hospital bed you were laying on and leant on the side of the bed. “What are you doing over there? Come give me some cuddles.” You say while slurring your words due to the pain medication you were on and pat a space on the bed.

Jess got up out of her seat and crawled onto the bed next to you then you cuddled into her side while being careful of your leg. “Thank you Jess.” You say as you relax into her. “I’m going on loan to Everton.” Jess says just loud enough for you to hear her and when to do you look up at her. “We could use someone with your skill on the team, plus your not bad company.” You chuckle while you talk to her.

After a while of you and Jess just talking about the most random stuff, from football to holiday destinations, you started to get quite tired from all the pain relief you've been given and you slowly nodded off while cuddling up to Jess.

When you started doing rehab which was usually at either Everton or your own home, which is when the physio would come over just to give you basic everyday exercises.

But after a while Jess would come in as you were doing your rehab and help in any way she could even if it was just passing you, your water bottle. That made you happy, it didn’t make you feel as lonely as you did.

Once you could walk decently you asked Jess “Do you want me to walk you through some drills?” to which she immediately said “Yes, of course! That would be great.” You chuckled at her eagerness which caused her to blush and suddenly you were thinking about how adorable she looked when she got flustered.

The first drill you got her to go through was volleys. You would throw the ball to her and the first couple times she missed but eventually she started to know where she was going wrong and made it better.

The second drill that Jess did was penalties which you got one of the coaching staff to stand in for a goalie since you couldn’t for obvious reasons. You told her how to trick the keeper into going the opposite way.

The third drill was dribbling and agility. You set up a small obstacle course where she would dribble through the cones in the centre of the pitch and then run as fast as she could to the edge of the penalty box and then jog back to the centre before doing it again.

You did a few more different types of drills and then you looked at your watch, you were shocked to see that it was so late. “Jess!” You shouted at her as she was at the other side of the pitch and she quickly came running to you. “It’s 10:45pm, we should head out. You wanna come back to my place? We can pick up some chinese on the way to my flat, if you want to of course.” You ask her nervously and Jess throws her arm over your shoulder. “Why not?” Jess says as she smiles at you and all you can think is, oh my fucking god when did she get so attractive to me? You just smile back at her.

The both of you start getting together all the training equipment that you used and take it back to Jess’s car, she drove you here since you could drive to the boot currently on your leg. You get into the passenger's seat and put on your seatbelt, Jess doing the same on the driver's side.

You reach over and take Jess’s phone out of her pocket then plug in the aux cable to it since she couldn’t do it since she was driving. Unlocking her phone you go onto Spotify and put her playlist on. Jess started mouthing the lyrics to the song that was on and you just sat there admiring her beauty.

The both of you sat on your sofa in the living room while eating your food off of the coffee table. You got egg fried rice with king prawns and cashew nuts and Jess got beef chow mein with salt and pepper chips. To share you got vegetable spring rolls and banana fritters for dessert.

A while after you both finished Jess asked if she could jump in the shower because she was sweaty from running drills all night and of course you said yes.

Jess went to the bathroom and got in the shower but what she didn’t think of was getting a towel and some clothes.

A couple of minutes later…

“Y/N! Can I have a towel and some clothes please?” She shouts to you a little embarrassed. “Already ahead of you. Am I alright to come in?” You ask her not to want to make her uncomfortable by just barging into the bathroom. “Yeah!” Jess said as she was waiting to get out.

You quickly enter the bathroom and place a tracksuit of yours on the counter top. “Could you pass me the towel?” Jess asks as she turns off the shower and holds out her hand which you give to her.

Before you could leave the bathroom she gets out of the shower with the towel wrapped around her which makes you freeze in place while checking her out. “See something you like, babe?” Jess teases you blush as you stare at her. “I-i…uh…just g-gonna…” You stutter while pointing toward the bathroom door and race out of it.

Jess see’s what the time is and asks if she could stay over because of how late it was, obviously you said yes.

“Uh…you can either sleep on the sofa or share with me.” You say as you hug Jess from behind as you both sway back and forth. “I’ll share with you. I love cuddling you.” Jess says as she holds your hands in place as sighs because of how relaxed she feels whenever she is around you.

The both of you stay there for a while just swaying, if anyone saw the two of you they would instantly think that you two were dating but unfortunately you weren’t…yet.

You were planning to ask Jess now, to come on holiday with you since she had a two week break which you were very glad about. If she said yes to going on holiday with you for a week and a half to Italy, you were gonna confess your feelings to her and ask her to be your girlfriend.

“Could I ask you something?” You say to Jess while you both were still swaying but you now had your head buried in the crook of her neck. “Course you can babe.” Jess says in her soothing tone, everytime she calls you babe it makes you feel all fuzzy inside.

“Would you like to come on holiday with me to Italy?” You ask which makes Jess turn around in your arms so that she could look at you. “Really? I’d love to.” Jess says as she hugs you tightly and squeezes you.

______________time skip, half way through the holiday in italy______________

You looked at Jess as she sunbathed on a towel at the private beach you were on and you just sat there looking at her like she was the only person in the world.

“Jess?” You say nervously, you were finally gonna do it, you were going to tell Jess that you were in love with her and you have been since you first met her. “Yeah?” Jess replies as she sits up to look at you which somehow makes you even more nervous. “I need to tell you something.” You say which makes Jess look at you worriedly and she nodded not wanting to interrupt you.

“Oh god…I didn’t think this was gonna be so hard to do.” You take a deep breath and down the rest of your beer for a confidence boost.

“When we first met at your first England camp I thought ‘wow, this girl is talented, gorgeous and one of the kindest people i’ve ever met’ that’s the exact moment I knew that I wanted to be more than friends but I didn’t act on it because I we barely knew each other. Now that we’ve known each other for quite some time I thought that it was finally time to fess up.With the way you have been treating me lately has made my feelings for you grow tremendously. I have fallen in love with you, I’ve never in my whole life ever felt this way before and I hope that you are willing to explore these feelings. So, will you, Jessica Park be my girlfriend?” You ask emotionally as you hold her hands as you look in her eyes to see tears welling up in her eyes.

“I’d love to be your girlfriend.” Jess quickly says before pulling you into a much needed kiss.

The two of you spend the rest of the holiday in a love-struck daze with one another.

You are not Alone - Process

I'm finally organizing a post to show you guys a little of my process. I thought it would be a good start to do it with an personal piece that could got me open to more experimentations :)

This is a personal piece I created for Cynthia Sheppard's "Illustrating the Emotional Narrative" Class. I had an idea of Medusa and the illustration would be about a friendship that overcomes the character's curse.

Based on the method Cynthia presented to us, I structured a briefing for my image focusing on Medusa's character as it follows:

GOAL/MOTIVATION

Being relaxed with her friend's visit.

OBJECTIVE

To feel happy and cared for by her friend regardless of whether she is a monster.

ACTION

Relax, rest, to let her guard down.

TONE/MOOD

Medusa feels calm with the presence of her friend.

Melancholic and grayish colors in the surroundings to represent Medusa's lair. But with room for hope that she will not live a life forever alone.

Based on this infos, I made some thumbnail tests where Medusa's friend would be visiting her in her lair.

From here I asked some colleague's opinions and we came up to the conclusion that thumbnail E would be the best. Then I started testing light and values.

Next, I colored the thumbnail and made some adjustments. I usually sctructure my thumbnails up to this point so that I can be sure of how I am going to paint the scene definitively later on.

Now for some ref time! I took some photos to simulate the light so I could answer any doubts about anatomy, light and shadows. I won't post the images since they are a little too personal :) In addition, this step helps me with a clearer ideia about interactions between the two characters. With organized refs, I was able to start definitively structurig the piece. Next, time for sketch the characters.

After the characters start, I focused a bit on the background to help me moving along with the image.

Back to the characters. I always begin with a lighter base for them to keep the shadows from getting too dark.

After starting to paint Medusa, I thought it would be better to change the angle of her face a little to make the details of the side wings and the orange eyes clearer from afar.

And to finish it off, the final rendering and polishing phases :)

Super Bowl Thoughts For Those Who Care

I am now fully on board with the "NFL is scripted" conspiracy theory. Or at the very least, that it's heavily rigged for it's poster superstars.

Let me start off by saying that I have massive respect for the Chiefs organization. Mahomes and Kelce are fucking nuts and absolute freak of nature athletes, and Andy Reid is one of the greatest head coaches of all time. If you guys had won literally any other way, I would be full-heartedly congratulating them.

But you didn't.

You won off the most. absolute. BULL SHIT penalty I have ever seen in my decades of watching football. Defensive holding call on an incomplete on 3rd and 8 with 2 minutes left and Eagles have two timeouts left. Juju goes to the line and Bradberry makes contact, penalty flag thrown.

The problem with this: that was not flagworthy at all. To start with, it's a relatively penalty free game, meaning the refs are content to just let the athletes compete and play it out. In a game like that, you can't suddenly throw the flag for a nitpicky penalty like that that clearly doesn't impact the play enough to change the outcome. You can't let these guys play physical all game long and then suddenly decide that they're not allowed to play the way you let them play all fucking game.

Secondly, Mahomes threw that ball 12 yards away from Juju, it was completely uncatchable even without the "hold". Even without the contact from Bradberry, Juju is never catching that ball.

Finally, IT'S NOT EVEN A FUCKING FOUL. Contact was made literally RIGHT at the line of scrimmage, and you're allowed to make contact within the first 5 yards of the line of scrimmage. There is literally no flag on this play whatsoever.

So congratulations to the Chiefs and the NFL. Instead of possibly having one of the most memorable Super Bowls of all time with a chance to let the Eagles have a final potential game winning drive, you made it so that the worst flag of all time was thrown and revealed that you're completely on the take. And now the whole world knows it too. Everybody in the entire world knows that the flag would never get called on anybody ever unless they were going against the Chiefs.

You have now painted Mahomes as the New Tom Brady. Not as in the greatest QB of all time, but as in all he has to do is whine about a flag and the closest ref will throw one for him. You took one of the greatest, shining superstars of the sport and showed everyone that you'll do anything to make it so that he wins. Forever tarnishing his legacy, instead of his outstanding athleticism, he'll now be remembered as the QB who needs the refs in his pocket to win.

Sincerely, Disappointed NFL fan.

Thing I did a while ago and forgot to post silly me, presenting Vector across the like spectrum of mew to two, rambles under read more

So Little Blue is the mew that Vector started out as originally, in honesty she likely would've gotten quite fluffy into adulthood also sporting the iconic ear fluffs however I forgot this until it was all done/it's a representation of her unchanged from her original rebirth state as she was probably a smooth furred little mitten who would've grown into her fur eventually, not much to say slightly bigger than average shiny baby

Now what if somebody saved Little Blue before her mind and body was fully pushed and contorted and experimented on until she entered into her Vector state? Vector Glimmer represents that possibility, she is still altered having some human dna in her and her own extra dna is locked and altered in particular ways but she's not near enough a mewtwo she's still a mewish creature. This version came to mind when talking to @mewtwoevolution wherein Nine showed up to protect the poor mew from experimentation taking the trembling mitten who's body was morphing out of her control and took care of her, her name coming from the other definition of Vector as Nine had found her with direction and magnitude and then she showed growth to match while also getting their last name becoming Nine and Glims weird little daughter it's very wholesome, side ref to show that despite being mostly mew she is still a bit altered/abnormal

Vector is well Vector, her canon interation the feral girl herself changed forever by cruel experimentations pushing her biology as she harbors a disease developed in her body from so many tests and exposures her jelly like sections used to feed and nourish the pathogens that do not affect her.

Subject V, a Vector that they'd kept contained and pushed further into the mewtwo change or probably more likely from this point she is a clone made from Little Blue that was also experimented on her body still mixed with diseases she still adapts a jelly section for dealing with it all but not a full mewtwo yet but increadly close! She was likely the only one to survive the tests her batch was put through hence being so late in the alphabet they perfected whatever they were doing with her.

Finally the full mewtwo variant Subject - 273, absolutely a clone from Little Blue don't look at how big of a number that is or think about how many they made, did they all fail did they get sold to buying customers or sent to other labs for more experiments? We don't know... Her number is actually an incredibly obscure reference to the character of mine that she is based off of, it makes me happy.

Subject V and Subject - 273 do both have 3 fingers like classic mewtwo I was just struggling to draw them so hidden hands go brr. Subject V likely has two second necks still but they are significantly more fused together and cannot move unlike Vectors meanwhile Subject - 273 likely has a singular neck with a ridge line implying it has started to split but never full did
