You've worked in the same bar for the past 3 years. It's fairly common for military men to come in and get drinks together. It's always soap, gaz, price, and the one in a mask.
One night you finally speak to the guy in the skull mask. "your name is?" as he looks at you, his cold eyes lighten.
"ghost," he said gruffly when soap elbowed him, he shot soap a glare and sighed making eye contact with you. "Simon. simon Riley." he gruffs.
you can't help but smile. "well then Simon Riley. want your usual?"
"Please," he says coldly
you and your friend spent the rest of the night talking about simon. "god i dont know what it is about him but." "jeez.."
"oh ew! shut up" your friend replies walking to the other side of the bar
you giggle "ah cmon, its not as nasty as you and your thing for that old one.
she giggles. "price is hot because hes a gentle man. simon just looks like he could hurt anyone."
"thats what i like" "feels like hed go to jail for me"
She rolls her eyes "okay mrs delusional."
the next few days some tension between you and simon grew. he cant keep his eyes off you. your literal eyecandy to him. and you notice.
"sarah he keeps staring" you say entering the back to "refill something"
she squeals. "girl hes so into you!"
you roll your eyes, "oh whatever."
Later that night soap walks up to the bar,
"hey y/n, you know my big friend Simon? ya he wants ye number"
your heart practically stops beating. "uh.. yeah sure here" You quickly write it on a napkin and hand it to him. you watch as soap runs away like a schoolgirl giggling to Simon as he hands it to him.
the whole rest of the night you were shocked. The big huffy man you think is hot wanted your number?
around 2 am you jolt awake as your phone buzzes. you grab your phone, its him.
"hey gorgeous its simon, or "big masked man"
"Hi simon" god you cant believe this is happening is this real?
"you should be asleep. what you doing up?"
ur heart flutters, (GOING FERAL LIKE YES PLS BOSS ME AROUND) "couldnt sleep"
"any reason why?"
(yes Simon ur the reason why) "nope no praticular reason why, just one of those nights."
"alright. want to get coffee tomorrow?"
"coffee?!" you think to yourself "Omg it's happening.."
"id love to get coffee"
"great. ill see you at happy cafs tomorrow at 9 am."
"see you there"
your freaking out literally, the man of your literal dreams is asking to go out on a coffee date?! Is it a date..?
"is this considered a date?" you text him a few minutes later
"yes, sweetheart. it's considered a date lol"
you throw your phone across the room screaming and kicking your feet. you can't sleep the rest of the night. too busy thinking about what to wear. finally at 6 am you give up and hit the shower, then walk to your closet. "god do I wear a dress? jeans hoodie?" finally you decide on a long-sleeved black dress, perfect for winter. you straighten your hair, do your makeup, and hype yourself up.
8:55 and you're a minute away from the cafe when u see him pull up. your heart drops. you're so excited yet so nervous, u practically black out until you bump into him.
"op, watch out there" he chuckles, "looking at your feet while you walk sweetheart or?"
you chuckle, "Sorry lost in my thoughts." sweetheart?! You can't help but blush as he puts his hand on the lower part of your back and directs you inside. you both sit down at a booth and a waitress comes over. you both order and wait.
you can't help but stare at him, even tho you haven't seen his face his eyes just capture you.
"I'm not gonna lie, sweetheart,. I can't keep my eyes off you at the bar,"
"might as well claim ye before you are no longer available" he smirks as you blush and look away
you spend the next 3 hours just talking getting to know him. And before you know it, (in a few weeks of course) you are dating, officially his. the man of your dreams is officially yours.

And for the finale we have Wayne Family Adventures-Definitely a good read but to be totally honest it does Duke DIRTY and it sucks so much of DC to have marketed as his series to not only not follow through at all and make it an ensemble cast instead but ALSO deprive him of his actual characterization and story to make him a demure weak black boy stereotype.I won't judge you at all for liking it if you decided to read it or have already but kindly keep this in mind and consider joining me and my mutuals in our rewrite of it to give our Signal of Hope and Chaos the writing he deserves or at least support us through likes and reblogs!Happy Jason readings and have a good day💕

"Come on, mate, it's not that hard,” Chris said in English, to maximize the chance of not being overheard by the guests standing nearby. He placed his hand on Felix’s shoulders, turning him around. “Look, you just go up to her and ask. And if she refuses you - which she won't, by the way - you just come back here. There's plenty of people so you won't have to see her for the rest of the night. It's really that simple,” he instructed him, leaning forward so he talked directly in Felix's ear.
"Well, that's easy for you to say, Chrizztopher,” Felix grumbled, but still listened carefully to his words. He skimmed the room with his eyes, searching for a short black dress adorned with a beaded corset and embroidered blue flowers. Upon laying his gaze on you, a smile spread on his face, and his eyes softened. Chris was right; he had nothing to lose. You weren’t a part of the Stray Kids staff, so the chances of seeing you after today were low. “Okay, I'm going up to her,” he decided, saying it out loud to give himself confidence. He felt his friend squeeze his shoulders reassuringly.
“You got this, Lix. Go,” he nudged him in your direction and watched with a proud expression as his baby walked across the hall.
Meanwhile, you were standing at one of the tables with some of your coworkers. You had been JYPE's trusted and loyal employee, which is why you were invited to this gala event Park Jinyoung hosted at the end of the year. It was an honour to receive an invitation to the gala because the quests were carefully chosen each year. Sometimes it even happened that only certain members of a group got to attend. And despite working for the company for many years, this was the first time you were given the invitation.
You were spending most of the night with your friends and champagne glasses, occasionally dancing if someone asked you. Currently, you were playing a game of spot the idol, a tradition your friends, who were invited in previous years, invented. Every year, they would try to predict which artists would be the lucky ones, and this time they included you as well, since you were going to the ball with them.
“I think Sana is over there," you said, trying to discreetly point in the suspected idol's direction. “Red dress by-”
“Felix is coming,” one of your friends whispered urgently, interrupting you mid-sentence. You turned around, just in time for Felix to arrive at your table. He was dressed in tight-fitting black dress pants with a mesh dark blouse, covering it with a slightly bigger jacket that was black as well, to match the rest of his outfit. His blonde hair, which has gotten long enough to almost reach his shoulders, was curled into soft waves, framing his face and enhancing his fairy-like features even more.
Felix extended his hand toward you. “Do you want to dance?” he asked. He had a confident expression and a flirty smile on his face, but his eyes showed off his nervousness and obvious interest in you. Glancing over his shoulder, you caught a glimpse of Bang Chan and Han Jisung, both silently pleading with you to accept Felix's offer. You were going to anyway, but seeing his friends being so supportive. It warmed your heart.
With a smile, you placed your hand into Felix's awaiting one. “Lead the way.”
He beamed upon hearing your words, and like a true gentleman, he led you away from the table and then offered you his arm to take you to the dancefloor. The previous song was just finishing as you assumed the correct positions. A much faster song began playing - the DJ's surprise, as was announced just a second later. Two very different reactions then took place. Your excitement over recognizing it was cha cha was met with Felix's horrified expression as he watched other pairs begin to dance around you.
Felix licked his lips nervously. “I actually don't know how to dance this,” he confessed with his head down. “I thought they were going to play something like a waltz because they did for most of the night.”
“Don't worry, I can teach you. Just follow my lead, and we'll take it easy, okay?” you said while brushing your hand over his shoulder to calm him down.
“Shouldn't the guy do the leading, though?" Felix chuckled, already feeling a bit better. It made you feel happy to see Felix happy. The fans were right; the Felix effect truly works, you thought, suppressing a laugh. You knew Felix for all of five minutes, if you didn't count the occasional greeting when you met in the company building or at idol events, but you felt a strange fondness for him anyway.
You counted it and began leading Felix through the steps. As it turned out, he was a fast learner, which wasn't really a surprise. About halfway through the song, he was able to lead the dance on his own, and with a few instructions and your direction, you were able to perform some more advanced figures. When the song ended, you thanked him and congratulated him on his success with the dance. You thought now was the time for him to lead you back to your friends, but he surprised you.
“Stay for one more?” he asked, just as the first notes of a waltz song began to play. Unable to resist him, you agreed.
Felix's palm on your lower back strengthened its hold on you, pressing your body closer to his just as the dance required. He assumed the position, and with a confident attitude, he began leading you backwards. He gave you the luxury of only two steps to get used to the dance before he was leading you into a right turn, his firm but gentle hold on you not faltering even as you turned multiple times in a row. Turns were apparently his favourite, given the fact that they made up the better half of your dance, but attentive as ever, Felix made sure you didn't feel dizzy and slowed down from time to time to give you room to breathe. When the dance finally finished, Felix didn't let go of you; instead, he allowed you to slump against him and lay your head on his shoulder. Waltz wasn't even a fast, energetic dance, but, oh boy, were the constant turns exhausting. He began to gently sway you from side to side, following the example of other couples around you that slowdanced to the next song that began playing.
“Thank you for dancing with me,” Felix whispered into your ear at some point.
“The pleasure's all mine,” you replied, raising your head to flash him a happy smile. “You're a good dancer. I know you're great at hip hop, but I didn't expect you to be this good at ballroom too,” you said truthfully.
“What can I say, I'm a man of many talents.” Felix winked at you, undeniably following one of the advices Bang Chan must have given him. “Perhaps I can show you some more over a cup of... I would say coffee, but I don't drink that. A cup of anything else,” he added, grinning at you when you accepted.

part ii of the hat cpn. 👒inspired by the washing done, i decided to share other stuff that i’ve missed from the initial post. tho i think that the first post is more than enough to make a case. i think that if you are a cpf who don’t find this plausible from the first, a second one will do very little to sway your decision. but since this cpn is becoming a popular one, it’s only fitting that it gets more than one discussion post. ✌🏼

one that i forgot to add is how much YBO, across all platforms have posted material from gq moty which includes that hat. even if they probably know the conversation going around it. fans are interpreting this as him showing off, kinda like how he did it with the panther.
just going by the frequency on YBO weibo account. GQ = 9 iqiyi scream night = 5 redmi conference = 2 GRA = 5 Chanel Shenzhen= 2. WYB’s Paris trip has 11 but that’s understandable cause an overseas event like that warrants lots of posts. so for GQ which is a usual event in WYB’s standards, the amount of content is more than usual. we don’t know if this is because they shot a lot of material or he has some sort of requirement from them on how many posts to share. tho i doubt they could require that of him and his team.
cpn or not, we do appreciate all the content YBO has blessed us. 🙏🏼
another thing is when this first came out, people were likening it to Nanyang style of fashion which includes the hat. even people at the event noticed. this kind of style is tied to SG. and who was recently there? if you had a hat shop located in a prominent hotel singapore that also has cultural significance, wouldn’t it be best to have that kind of piece on hand? i’m also thinking about how thoughtful xz is in giving gifts. in this case, he knew wyb’s preference and at the same time it has something to do with the place he visited.

Tho his explanation is kinda sus because it’s about two people interlocking their hands like couples do. this episode was in 2018, and we think it made an impression on WYB.

this other one is also a coincidence, years ago 12/10 on 18:55 XZ posted the below message and it’s so fitting to whatever is going on right now. the same is true with them. tho they cannot be as vocal because of their status as celebrities — i’d like to think that sometimes they let things slip. they can’t help it. they are just living their life to the fullest and chose each other cause it is what makes them happy. i hope that it’s the same for us. that our loyalty remains with them and their love 💛

Fragaria Memories - Ever Red Visual Analysis Essay
"I still remember, the sun, the memories, and the lack of guidance, shown in this cross section of this red pieces/fragment. Truth/reality, even in time, you can't take it away. Forever certain, this is something I will not forget."
(Duration of Analysis: December 2023 - April 2024).
A. Wiki (Intro Tab: Overview of the story section).
The mains of each bouquet is shown through little fragments with the colour of their respectively bouquet. Though, note that Cielomort and Badobarm's fragments are showcasing their entire face, this shows that they're a whole, complete, untouched by the corruption of the anxiety brought by the seeds.
Now, look at Hallritt's fragment, a part of his face is cut-off right across the surface of his fragment, "Cross section of this piece/fragment". His purity - something so precious to him was taken away, not only that, but it was reversed. He was reversed, giving birth to his alter-ego, this evil Hallritt. Additionally, the part that was taken out matches perfectly with the "evil" part shown in the mv - this being a little clue for what is to come.
B. Music Video (Analyzing frames that feel important).
From what I've noticed while watching the mv, it has this margin that maintained throughout the mv, which is rather reminiscent of a camera, befitting the line "I still remember", 0:55, that would pop up along the intro. The connection here is that he's recalling these memories as if he was watching them through an old videotape. Though since his and his friend's memories don't align, it felt like an error in his mind(think of a movie where you told your friend about a certain scene and they disregard it, saying that it didn't happen in the movie and told you about a completely different scene instead), therefore causing the glitches we frequently see in the mv.
Another connection to the glitches is this shot of the Fragaria crest with impeccable lighting, I may add, making everything look oh so great before the "camera fell" and the lenses shattered (shown in various scenes throughout the mv but it's more prominent in this scene), the everything became lone, corrupted and gray, 1:05 - 1:11.
Who was holding the camera you might ask? Hallritt. After all, the ones who get to hold the camera are those who get to tell the story (quote pointed out by my best friend).
This is due to the reason that 1.) This is Hallritt's pov and he's the main character and 2.) He's too optimistic - Merold, 2024.
He's always excited whenever he's given the chance to help, he's passionate about fulfilling his duty that it feels like his joy and love for his job and the people around him is overflowing. This is why he's holding the camera, the one who got to tell the story. The one who caused all of this.
The next scene needed to be taken into account is the overlapping clocks 1:28 - this may symbolizes the, as the name suggests, overlapping of timelines. - As we know, there are two separate timelines, told by the voice dramas and the songs. The latter somewhat foreshadowing what happened in the past timeline.
Other than that, I have a feeling that maybe, just maybe, there might be a timeloop in Fragaria.
now, why do I think there's a possible timeloop?
CLOCKS. While yes, the clocks may mean that time has passed and they can no longer turn it back, they could also mean that they are running out pf time before the loop restarts.
I'll assume that it's the seeds' corruption on Hallritt that allowed this timeloop to start. And this aligns with the seeds' form of corruption as well, anxiety.
This timeloop theory is more on a figurative and psychological sense rather than a literal and physical one. This will be in relation as to how Hallritt was feeling upon being corrupted.
Since the seeds bring anxiety, I believe we should take a look at that. -Many people have repetitive anxious "thoughts" that trigger fear responses and believe they will never be able to get rid of them. - AnxietyCentre.com. "Can't take it away." "I still remember."
This is where the timeloop theory comes into play:
Hallritt's been corrupted, and is now having these anxious thoughts (memories), about causing the destruction during the first timeline. And now in the current timeline, he's once again having these thoughts because he still remembers what he has done, and while he's trying to make a change, he's also anxiously counting down the minutes until it's gonna happen again.
When corruption shall resurface.
After all, the current world is already corrupted, shown in this close up of the Fragaria crest now rusty (shown in various clips). The knowledge and sight of this may be Hallritt's trigger, causing him to have a fear response.
That response being the glitched out image of him and his friends, 3:29, that paired with the margin, makes it look like an actual videotape that one could watch (as pointed out earlier). This may contribute to the next scene where the words "Live in memories" appear, as well as when the color of the background went from, red to white, the red again, only for the transition to take place (which looks like the opening and closing of the eyes, most probably Hallritt's), switching to white once more, then a blur, , then gray, with each of the other knights' crest orbiting around Hallritt's before disappearing one by one.
What I would like to pay attention to is the thing is, despite Merold's crest being flashed first, his crest disappeared last, giving the impression that he knows something. Given that earlier, 1:27, him and hallritt were together in the middle of the line "Can't take it away". Other than that, later on, 2:43, he transitioned from his usual color palette to black and white. (Your Melody may give us some insights as to what that may be).
The transition from red, to white then black represents how Hallritt vies the current timeline, how every was so vibrant, rendered to black and white. (This, I believe, is where his repetitive, anxious thoughts is shown).
Other than that, my bestfriend also pointed out that the mv is basically just red, gray, then glitch and repeat, which gives way to the timeloop theory pointed out earlier.
I would also like to point out that in the second timeline, it's not Hallritt that is corrupting the world, it's the world that's corrupting Hallritt. Let me explain; the overlapping of timelines I've mentioned earlier plays here: It is because of that fact why the seeds are still having power over the world, why the Fragarian crest is already rusty, because despite the fact that the timeline restarted, the overlapping caused it to be corrupted by default, further triggering Hallritt's thoughts, leading him to think this will only last until the "end" of time.
"Ever Last".
He can never forget it, he will always be tied down by the ribbon's hold as if he was on a leash, bring everyone down with him, 3:42 - 3:45.
But he doesn't want that, no.
He doesn't want to hurt people, especially since it was all his fault, because of his "lack of guidance".
So he'll just glitch himself out of the picture, just so he'll not cause any more problems, 3:49. After all, that's what he is, right? A glitch?
But if there is one that's certain, "this is something I will never forget".

“Bobby Kennedy’s been shot!”
You stand next to Elvis, teary-eyed, as he clutches your hand like a lifeline. The two of you are directly in front of the tv in his dressing room, surrounded by the crew, all of you stunned as you absorb the news.
“We’re ready on set,” someone says quietly among the crowd. No one pays him any mind.
“Steve,” Bones says, “we gotta get back to work.”
Steve steps up, muting the tv.
“Listen,” he says, “I, uh, I just wanna say that… that this nation is hurting. It’s lost, y’know, it… it needs a voice right now to help it heal.” He gives the room a watery close-lipped smile, voice tight, “We have to say something.”
He turns and looks at your husband. “You have to make a statement, E.P.”
You turn at the sound of the curtain being pulled back as the Colonel enters the room.
“Mr. Presley does not make statements.” he says incredulously, working his way through the crowd, “He sings ‘Here Comes Santa Claus’ and wishes everyone a Merry Christmas, and good night.” He punctuates his statement with the push of a button, turning off the tv.
The crowd leaves, Steve and Bones giving you and Elvis each a comforting pat on the shoulder as they exit.
Elvis steps away to change out of his outfit for the special, leaving you and the Colonel alone in the other room. You sit down on the couch, ignoring him, and turn the tv back on, making sure to turn the volume up so your husband can hear the news coverage.
“Poor Mrs. Kennedy,” the Colonel sighs several minutes later, “it’s a tragedy. But, it had nothing to do with us.”
Elvis looks up, incredulous. “It has everything to do with us,” he says, stepping into the room.
“I just do not think we should be making speeches,” the Colonel explains, “about politics and religion—”
“Dr. King was shot 8 miles from Graceland while I was out here singin’ to turtles,” your husband scoffs, cutting him off. “And now this, and all you can think about is how many goddamn sweaters I can sell?”
“I am a promoter, that is what I do,” the Colonel says lightheartedly.
“And I’m Elvis Presley, that’s what I do!” your husband retorts, slamming the Coca-Cola bottle he’d grabbed on the desk with such force that it splashes onto the lighted mirror.
“Oh… Mr. Binder has certainly got inside of your head with all of his hippie friends,” the Colonel replies quietly. “You actually think that you singing your old songs dressed in black leather, sweating, mumbling incoherently to the audience was a good show?”
“Colonel, I know when I’ve excited an audience,” he replies with a subtle wink in your direction, showing off that confident smile he’d been missing for far too long.
“That was not a real audience, my boy,” the Colonel says matter-of-factly. “There was a sign flashing ‘applaud’ telling them when to clap for you. This entire jamboree was an embarrassment.”
He stands up from his chair, moving to stand beside Elvis. “You have embarrassed the sponsors, you have embarrassed yourself, you have embarrassed me. Now you can sing whatever songs you and Mr. Binder choose for 55 minutes,” he says dismissively, “but at the end of the show there will be a Christmas song. Or else we will be sued. No,” the Colonel amends, “you will be sued for breach of contract because I will no longer be the promoter of your career. I will have to leave you.”
Elvis only hums in response, face expressionless as he moves past the Colonel towards the door.
“Now I have convinced our friends at Singer Sewing Machines to come back tomorrow for ‘Here Comes Santa Claus,” the Colonel says. “I will see you in the morning, Mr. Presley. Oh, and as I recall,” he calls as Elvis steps out of the room, “Dr. King said rock and roll music contributed to juvenile delinquency.”
Elvis doesn’t deign to give a response as he closes the door, leaving you alone with the Colonel.
“How dare you.”
The Colonel turns to you as if he’d forgotten you were there, looking surprised at the outrage showing on your normally calm and collected face. You step forward, poking him in the chest.
“You have done nothing but manipulate him to try to shape him into whatever will make you the most profit— those damn movie musicals, this stupid Christmas special sponsored by sewing machines of all things? You dare to come in here and claim that those people out there were clapping because a flashing light told them to? Threaten to leave my husband after everything he’s done for you? You have no respect— none!— for the talent my husband has, and I for one would appreciate it if you left. Please.” You finish, nostrils flaring, and you feel as though you could burn a hole through the Colonel’s smug face with the fiery anger in your eyes.
The Colonel’s eyes narrow imperceptibly, his voice cold. “I have done nothing but care for that boy, Miss Y/N. I would strongly advise against saying anything like that ever again.”
You scoff in astonishment, “Care?! You’ve never cared about him; from the moment you saw him all you saw were dollar signs; a carnival attraction. My husband is a talented man who can hold his own in this business. We don’t need you. My Elvis doesn’t need you.”
“I know you want him all to yourself, but he will always need me, Miss Y/N—“
“No.” You cut him off, the condescension in his tone only succeeding in making you angrier, “You’re the one who needs him. And we both know that you’re absolutely terrified of the day he figures that out.”
You storm out, leaving the Colonel frozen in place trying to process your outburst.
After taking a few deep breaths to calm yourself, you head home, knowing that Elvis was going to be staying late at the studio to prep for tomorrow.

Unbeknownst to you, Steve went back to Elvis’s dressing room to try to talk to him about making a statement. He got there in time to see Elvis storm past him, looking like he was in no mood to talk, and then he heard your entire altercation with the Colonel.
Not knowing what to do, he decided it was best if he stayed out of it for now and returned to the control room to shut everything down.
He’s about to flip the last few switches when he hears Elvis singing the saddest rendition of “Here Comes Santa Claus” he had ever heard. He turns on the mic.
“We’re… pretty set for the number tomorrow, right E.P.? It’s pretty familiar territory?”
There’s a moment of silence, and then: “A reverend once told me, when things are too dangerous to say…” Elvis says, and Steve can see the spark of an idea in his eye, “sing.”
Steve, Bones, and Elvis work through the night on a new song, and only when Elvis is about to leave does Steve remember what he overheard earlier that night.
“E.P., hold on a second.”
Elvis stops in his tracks. “What’s up, Steve?”
“Look, I stopped by your dressing room earlier— I was gonna try to talk to you about making a statement, but you didn’t exactly seem in the mood to talk by the way you walked outta there,” he says with a dry laugh, “and I, uh… I overheard something.”
He proceeds to explain what he heard of your conversation with the Colonel. Elvis nods, listening intently. It was one thing to have flickers of thought like that for himself, but for you to outright say it all, to see the big picture… he realizes something has to be done.
“Thank you for tellin’ me, Steve” is all he says before he turns and walks away, a plan forming in his head.

The next morning, you arrive at the studio with Elvis. He had talked with you about his new song and his plan for filming today and you were completely on board, you couldn’t be prouder of him.
He had also talked with you about the conversation you and the Colonel had.
“I’ve had thoughts of droppin’ the Colonel for a bit, I’ll be honest,” he had admitted, “but to hear it the way you said it, all laid out with the big picture, I—“ He faltered for a moment, grasping your hand, “And then to hear the way he spoke to you… I’m firin’ him right after the performance today, I promise you baby.”
“I don’t want you rushing into anything, honey,” you had replied, concerned.
“Don’t worry, my love, I’ve got it all figured out. He won’t have his claws in me— in us anymore after today.” he had said, squeezing your hand reassuringly.
You stand near the set, decorated to look like a page out of A Christmas Carol. The Colonel surely loved that, you think, but he’s about to be very disappointed. You beam with pride as the cameras frantically turn to Elvis as he steps in front of the lighted sign and begins performing his new song, “If I Can Dream”, with more emotion than you’d ever seen in him.
The cameras cut after his performance and he turns to you, chest heaving. You run to him, and whisper as he wraps his arms around you, “That was incredible, baby.”
“Couldn’t have done it without you, darlin’” he whispers back, pressing a kiss to the top of your head.
The tender moment is interrupted by the Colonel storming down from the control room.
“Mr. Presley!” he shouts, face livid, “Was I not perfectly clear that there was to be a Christmas song today?”
“You were,” Elvis responds calmly, “I just thought that this was a smidge more important than sellin’ Christmas sweaters and sewing machines. Oh and by the way, Colonel,” he adds nonchalantly, “you’re fired.”
“I— what?” The Colonel looks genuinely confused for a moment, and you almost feel bad for him— before he opens his mouth to snow your husband yet again. “My boy, you don’t mean that! I’ve been with you through everything, we—“
“Yes, and I think it’s time we went our separate ways.” Elvis says firmly, “Especially after how you treated my wife.”
The Colonel blinks, then turns to you, his face nearly purple with anger. He hisses, “You did this, you—“
Your husband steps in front of you protectively. “Oh no, she didn’t do nothin’. You’ve had your claws in me since I started out and I am sick and tired of it. This was just the final straw. Security,” he calls “could we get this man escorted from the premises, please?”
The Colonel is escorted out, and Elvis turns to the control room, calling out, “Now I’m not sure if you fine folks from Singer Sewing Company are still here, but I’d still like to perform a Christmas song for y’all, seein’ as you came all the way here. Also, I’d very much like to avoid bein’ sued by y’all if I can help it,” he jokes. He performs a very sweet rendition of “Here Comes Santa Claus” (the irony is not lost on you with that one) before rushing everyone back to his home.
The two of you sit in your room, curled up in bed together while Jerry, Steve, and Vernon, along with a team of lawyers, try to figure out how to get the Colonel out of your lives for good.
“Y/N, my darlin’, my angel,” Elvis says quietly, “I’m so damn sorry about that damned evil man. You should never have had to put up with everything he did—“
He’s been apologizing for far too long today. You shake your head, “No, Elvis, I… I sensed something was off about that man the moment I met him, I should’ve said something sooner…”
“No, sweetheart, no,” He cups your cheek, turning your face so you’re looking into his eyes. His voice takes on a serious tone, wanting to make sure you hear and understand every word he’s about to say, “You did not deserve that, not even one bit of his bullshit. I love you darlin’, more than words can say, and I cannot thank you enough for sticking with me through this entire thing. I truly cannot thank you enough, my darlin’. I love you forever and always.”
Speechless, you pull him in for a kiss, tears brimming in your eyes as you wonder how the hell you got so damn lucky.

Elvis enlists Jerry to be his new manager, and continues working very closely with Steve and Bones as he plans his world tour (“I’m 33 years old and I’ve never been out of the country, ‘cept for the service,” he had lamented to you when the idea first came to him.)
He’s absolutely thrilled at the idea of performing for crowds in Europe and Japan, and even more ecstatic at the idea of having his own plane to fly him there. The “Evelyn” is his other pride and joy, he jokes, second only to his actual daughter.
One day, in the midst of packing to leave Graceland for the first stop on the tour, Vernon and Jerry come running in, looking frantic.
“Dad? Jerry? What’s wrong?” Elvis asks, concerned.
They turn to where you and Elvis are standing by the car. Jerry gestures for Vernon to speak first.
“Well, son,” he begins, “I got a call this morning from… from the Colonel. Saying somethin’ about ‘we still owed him for everything’ and started rattling off numbers and prices for things he wanted us to pay for. I went and got Jerry right away.”
Jerry takes this as his cue to speak, “The lawyers went over the papers and said that he wasn’t entitled to anything like that. I think he’s still assuming that we haven’t bothered with a lawyer, seeing as he’s making demands like this. But anyway,” he shakes his head, getting back on track, “I did some digging, and it turns out Colonel Tom Parker doesn’t exist. His real name is Andreas van Kuijk. He fled from Holland a while back and created this entire fake identity. He’s a con man. Always has been.”
“He’s… what?” A mix of confusion and anger dawns on your husband’s face as he furrows his brow, trying to make sense of what they had just said.
“Dad, did you figure out where he was callin’ from?” He asks after a moment of absorbing the news, suddenly all business.
“Uh… I think it was the Stardust?” Vernon replied, naming the popular hotel and casino in Vegas.
“Let me guess,” you speak up, noting the determined glint in his eye, “we’re making a stop on the way to LA?”
He nods. “Yeah, baby. I wanna talk to this bastard.”
Between all of you, you’re somehow able to organize a quick pit stop in Vegas on the flight to LA, and you accompany Elvis to the Stardust.
You find the old man sitting alone at a row of slot machines, putting coin after coin into the machine. He looks up as you approach, and a surprised smile spreads across his face.
“My boy! You’ve returned! I hope there are no hard feelings—“
“I ain’t here to take you back, you snake.” Elvis hisses. “My father told me you called. You seem to think you still got your claws in me.”
“Well, my boy, I am just trying to be an honest businessman and get my money’s worth. You owe me quite a bit from all the years we worked together.”
A laugh tears from your husband’s throat, “An honest businessman? Really? After what we’ve learned about you? You haven’t said an honest thing to me in your life, not even your name. Oh that’s right,” Elvis sneers, seeing the Col— van Kuijk’s eyes widen just the slightest bit. “We know all about you, sir. All the lies you’ve told. Are you even from Holland, or is that another lie?”
“Does it truly matter where I am from?” he says smoothly, “I discovered you! I made you! You would be nothing without me!”
“How dare you, you toad.” Elvis spits, “I may have gotten my start with you, I’ll grant you that, but— well. I believe my wife told you this before: I. Don’t. Need. You. You made 50% of everything I have ever made since I started out and you think you can come back here and bleed me dry? No, sir,” he says with a dry laugh, “You and I are done entirely. Have a nice life, Mr. van Kuijk.” He spits out the name of the conman like it’s a curse word. Before van Kuijk can say another word, he grasps your hand and leaves, content in the idea that that will be the last conversation he ever has with him.
Back on the plane, you and Elvis are alone. The others elected to drive and meet you in LA, and it turned out his father didn’t necessarily like flying, so there’s no one around to bother you as Elvis continues showering you with affection, telling you how much he loves you and how grateful he is that you gave him the push he needed to finally get rid of that old conman in the first place. He’s pulled you close, and his hands snake around your waist as he says, as if the thought had just come to him: “Darlin’, have I ever thanked you properly for that?”
“…Yes?” you reply, confused. “You just said thank you to me at least 20 times in the last 10 minutes, honey.”
“No, darlin’…” His grip on your hips tightens the slightest bit, and you finally notice the look in his eyes as he moves to plant kisses down your neck, murmuring against your skin between each one, “have I ever… thanked you… properly?”
You can only whine as he reaches a particularly sensitive part of your neck, your hands winding into his hair, and you feel his lips curl into a smile.
“Don’t worry, sweetheart,” he breathes, moving his attention to the other side of your neck, one hand snaking back to slowly, slowly, slowly undo the buttons along the back of your sheath dress, “‘M gonna make sure you know exactly how grateful I am for everything you’ve done for me.”
Your husband is extremely thorough in his appreciation of you as you fly off to LA, and everything, finally, is as it should be.

My 30 years protecting the Queen: dry humour, heartfelt gifts and travelling the world by Hugo Daniel (September 17th 2022)
Taking in the beauty of a misty Scottish moor amid the bustle of a Balmoral grouse shoot, the royal protection officer Dick Griffin turned to check on his charge, the Queen, only to get the shock of his life.
It was September 1995 and, at first glance, the then 69-year-old monarch had disappeared. As he searched anxiously through the thick fog, he finally caught sight of her — lying flat on the ground, a dead grouse beside her.
“Because it was so foggy we couldn’t see [that the grouse had] hit her in the chest,” Griffin said. “You can imagine the velocity of something like that falling down to the ground — it just flattened her completely. So I had to get her up and discreetly brush all the feathers and plumes away from her. She was shaken up and badly bruised.”
The equerry who had shot the bird was understandably embarrassed. “But then [they] saw the funny side of it, because the Queen saw the funny side of it. She said, ‘What an odd thing to happen’.”
Griffin, 71, shared his memories of more than 30 years as a protection officer for the royal family over a cup of coffee in a Pret a Manger near Buckingham Palace. His son, Gareth, 42, is a uniformed firearms officer and was on duty at the palace when the Queen’s coffin arrived there on Tuesday evening.
Since her death, a news clip from the Platinum Jubilee has re-emerged in which Griffin revealed how, during a walk on the Balmoral estate, the Queen posed for a photo with two American tourists who did not recognise her.
He said he was glad the story had been a “comfort” to people, with many reposting it and calling it their “favourite Queen story”. He described her as a “remarkable, caring, wonderful person”.
Griffin, who had been due to have lunch with the Queen next month, will attend the smaller, more personal committal service at Windsor Castle’s St George’s Chapel tomorrow after the funeral at Westminster Abbey. He says all seven police officers who worked for the monarch have been invited.
Griffin now gives talks about his career to raise money for the Kent, Surrey and Sussex air ambulance.
His three decades with the royals began in 1982 as part of a team that reorganised palace security after Michael Fagan broke into the Queen’s bedroom. After that, he was assigned to act as Prince Edward’s protection officer at Cambridge University from 1983 to 1986. He worked on assignment for Prince Philip for 13 years until 1999 and then for the Queen until he retired in 2013.
He travelled with the Queen and Prince Philip to 161 countries. “Often you were in the car with them, just chatting away. She would ask about my family and all my marathon running. Once I went to South Africa to do the Comrades marathon, which is 55 miles, and you had a chip on your shoe so people could follow you at home. She got one of her footmen in front of a computer for ten hours to follow me, to see how I was getting on. The footman wasn’t too impressed.”
When Griffin’s running club in Bromley, southeast London, held a party to celebrate his 100th marathon, the Queen marked the occasion with a letter, showing her wry sense of humour. In it, she jokes: “We are delighted that your employers allow you sufficient time to train for, and take part in, such events.”
At his first meeting with the Queen and Prince Philip in 1983 at Windsor Castle, a week before he went to Cambridge with Edward, the couple were keen to learn about the background of the man who would be guarding their youngest child.
“We were sitting on lovely chairs and the staff were giving us coffee and the Queen said to me, ‘Can you tell Philip and me what you used to do before you came to royalty protection?’
“It was probably a question I’d prefer they’d not asked, because my job for the past six years had been [at Scotland Yard’s obscene publications branch policing] prostitution, the brothels, the sex shops and pornographic cinemas.
“The Queen said, ‘Good gracious, Mr Griffin. What on earth does Edward need a police officer with your qualifications for?’ and, before I could answer, Prince Philip said, ‘I don’t know. But they can have some wonderful parties at Cambridge.’
“That was my first experience of Prince Philip and his one-liners.”
The next time Griffin met the Queen, he remembers her sitting on the floor of the Waterloo Chamber at Windsor Castle to watch a private performance of a play that Edward and friends had originally performed at Cambridge, in which Griffin had a cameo role.
The roof was leaking. “Water was landing on top of the Queen’s head. She was all dressed up, having just come from dinner. Several members of the household offered her a seat, but she said ‘that’s not necessary’ and sat on the floor in the aisle and put a programme over her head to keep dry.
“That was one of my first impressions of the Queen, and I just thought, ‘What an amazing lady.’”
Griffin’s three-decade career as protection officer spanned security threats ranging from the IRA to Isis.
“Of course with Islamic terrorism and suicide bombers, we had to really ramp things up,” he said. “But nothing fazed the Queen and Prince Philip. We’d try to encourage them sometimes not to be so open on walkabouts, but nothing would change her.”
He was in the car with the Queen on the day two months after 9/11 when an American Airlines flight crashed in Queens, New York. It would turn out to be an accident, but there were fears at first that it was terrorism-related.
“I was bringing the Queen back from Windsor Castle and my mobile phone rang and it was my son. I spoke to Gareth and he said there might be another terrorist attack.
“I told the Queen, and then, five minutes later, Tony Blair rings up to brief the Queen, and I always remember her saying, ‘Yes, prime minister, I know. My policeman’s son has just phoned to tell me.’”
In 2005 Griffin’s first grandchild, Joshua, was born and the Queen insisted on meeting him.
“She said to me in the car one day, ‘For the last nine months, all you’ve talked about is how excited you are about being a grandfather, and now your grandson has been born, you haven’t even bothered to introduce me.’ So I had to arrange a date and time so the Queen could have a cuddle. She was thrilled.”
He saw her love for her own grandchildren, too. For Christmas in 2010, Griffin and the other protection officers decided to give the Queen a wind-up clockwork duck that played music and laid an egg every 30 seconds, something they had found at a flea market on a recent state visit to the United Arab Emirates.
“My wife wrapped it up all beautifully with ribbons and gave it to the equerry to present it to the Queen on Christmas Day. We got this beautiful letter from the Queen saying how much she enjoyed it and Edward’s son, James, had so much fun playing with it.”
In the letter, the Queen wrote: “To the PPOs, many thanks for the unusual Christmas present from you all. It certainly livened things up and little James’s face was a picture when the duck laid her eggs! Thanks for making us laugh.”
When Griffin retired, in 2013, the Queen gave him the best gift of all. She had paid for him to have a retirement party in the state department at the palace, with 200 guests, and at eight o’clock she joined the party, with Prince Philip and the Earl of Wessex.
“That was the biggest present she could give me,” he said.

Because I was aware of my bias going into it, I gave this song a few more listens than I typically do before forming an opinion. And like I suspected, the only reason I like this song is because of Jimin.
Taeyang gave me nothing to work with I'm sorry. The D'Angelo aesthetic failed to land, the only person who brought sauce to this joint is Park Jimin. I think even Taeyang, Teddy and co recognize that too, because though it's Taeyang's song and technically a feature, it feels like Jimin's song with Taeyang featuring. (The lines split is also smart from a business POV because it will get ARMYs and Jimin solo stans to buy/stream it more). Jimin has writing credits [*] so I can only assume he wrote his verses because the difference between his verse and Taeyang's is like night and day, and in Jimin's verse, the lack of gendered pronouns is something I can't help but notice.
In terms of jikook/ML collabs so far, I actually prefer this to Left & Right and Dreamers, but I like Bad Decisions more. So I'm giving this song a solid 6.8/10. It's a decent track and the hook is fun to sing. And thankfully, the song is short enough.
Frankly, if this single was supposed to whet people's appetites for Taeyang's album, it does the opposite for me, but it does do that for me with Jimin with PJM1. I **need** to hear more Jimin.
Anon in Ask 4, Taeyang has said there's a live performance so it's possible we get to see Jimin perform it live with him. (Jimin is blonde right now, in case anyone forgot)
Anon in Ask 5, you might not have heard, but ARMYs have a running joke that the tannies collab with people unlikeable to the fandom. I think a collab between Blackpink and BTS/any of the members is certainly possible (everything is possible in Chapter 2), but it will be a character building exercise for everyone involved.
And y'all know all I really do in those sorts of situations is laugh.

Lewisohn vs. Cynthia Lennon, Pt. 2 of 3
For part 1, click here. This post contains the next five endnotes in Mark Lewisohn's Tune In that reference Cynthia Lennon's A Twist of Lennon (1978). Part 3 will have the last of the Twist citations, as well as a couple of citations that use her autobiography John (2005).
Twist p.51 vs. Tune In 15-45

There’s no direct quote here, and the details in Twist and Tune In mostly match up. Mostly. Lewisohn greatly overstates Cynthia’s mother’s dislike for John, though. As Cyn relates it, her mom was happy to have Cynthia spending more time around the house (she’d been spending little waking time there during her relationship with John), and asserts that her mother was likely hoping things would fizzle out between them. Cyn says her mother “had never been over the moon” and “[hoped] that ‘Out of sight out of mind’ would prove the case.” Contrast that with Lewisohn’s “hoped plainly and simply” that their relationship would end, calls John a “Liverpool lout”, and says that Lil Powell wished “she’d never have to see him or hear about him again.” Rather more emphatic, wouldn’t you say?
It's possible that Cyn downplayed her mother's dislike for John. As a biographer, Lewisohn absolutely should take into account the possible bias of any given source, and it's reasonable to assume that Cyn might show some bias towards her mother, given the end result of her relationship with John. However, it's one thing to suggest the possibility that tensions were higher than Cynthia portrayed, and another thing entirely to definitively state they were without giving a source for this conflicting account.
Twist p.51-54 vs. Tune In 16-27

We’ve got a few problems here. First, Cyn does not mention Dot going along to take photobooth shots with her in Twist (see above) and John (p.55). I believe there’s an anecdote about Cyn and Dot taking pictures of each other at home to send to John and Paul, but the photobooth story only features Cyn.
The next issue: “Quasimodo.” I have to admit I don’t like the way Lewisohn writes about John mocking the disabled. It’s one thing to use the offensive language John would have used at the time (“cripple”) in quotes, or to indicate to the reader that John was using derogatory language, but Lewisohn leans really hard into it. He seems to relish using “cripple” or “cripping” whenever possible. In this instance, Cyn tells us that John sent her pictures of himself as a hunchback. Lewisohn says he did the shots as “Quasimodo.” I’m not sure if the implication is that John was doing a particular character bit, or if “Quasimodo” is a stand-in for any hunchback—is it like calling any tissue a Kleenex?
Lastly, Lewisohn describes John’s correspondence as “steamy letters, full of sex, passion and cripples.” I don’t think this is an incorrect description, but I do think it erases the depth described by Cyn in both of her memoirs. In Twist, Cyn describes how John would write about their terrible living conditions and bum-deal contract. She also said that “John seemed to be changing” (see p.54, above), becoming less destructive as he spent his time creating music. In John (p.56), Cyn says, “He wrote about every aspect of their stay, including those he would never have wanted his family to know about.” By Cyn’s account, she was John’s confidante, an important outlet during a period of trouble, change, and creativity, but Lewisohn hones in on the horniness and the goofy/offensive pictures.

The other source Lewisohn gives is the It's Only Love website. Their page about Dot Rhone can be found here. The color choices at the source can be difficult to read, so I'll copy the relevant passage here:
Then Brain Epstein became the Beatles manager. "He said we couldn't go to the concert's [sic] anymore. We obeyed him. We were very annoyed but we thought, if it helped their careers we would do it... I could see that Paul wa [sic] growing away from me. I knew what was coming. And all these years he had been having his bits on the side and it was getting so easy for him. he [sic] was young and he couldn't resist. That was a time of sadness but also release. I didn't keep trying so hard or worrying about trying to keep up, or saying the right things or not having my hair right or not being enough fun"      The relationship ended in the Summer of 1962 when The Beatles were weeks away from national fame. Dorothy will never forget the night Paul visited her and told her they had to break up. He called unexpectedly at her flat when she was wearing her mother's cami-knickers and a baggy old sweater, with her hair in rollers. "Paul said we'd been going out so long that it was either get married or split up. He said 'I don't want to get married, so even though I love you we'll have to finish.' He didn't cry but I knew he felt badly and he was sorry, just by the way he looked. I burst out crying. I said how can you do this? What am I going to do? I thought he might come back because it had been three years, but I suppose really I knew."

In pink, we have Lewisohn's misrepresentation of Cyn's account of the breakup. Note the wildly different timbre. In green and yellow, we have Dot's account from It's Only Love. At the source, the green text comes after the yellow text, seemingly in response to a different question in the original interview.
A note about Lewisohn’s source: It’s Only Love is a fansite devoted to the Beatles’ wives, girlfriends, and rumored flings. The last update is from November 2007. I don’t have any reason to doubt the information on this page (it’s not like Mark Lewisohn is the webmaster), but it’s not rigorously cited. There’s a partial list of sources on the Dot Rhone page that lists a few books, a “Dorothy Rhone interview October 1997”, and ends with “various Beatles and McCartney biographies.” I have found no indication which quotes on the page come from which source—which is fine. It’s a fansite from the early to mid 2000s. That said, if I was writing a doorstopper of a biography, I would hesitate to use that as a source.
I’ve done some digging to try to find the referenced October 1997 interview but have not had any luck. I’m not the world’s greatest internet sleuth, though, so if anyone is familiar with that interview, please let me know!

ALSO! I try my best to note points for every character, but tend to get a little caught up by Bee (although I think I do a pretty good job with the notes regardless) so do be warned.

Honestly, wouldn’t even be surprised if this episode was secretly going to have plot B involve Bumblebee actually having gotten hurt, but it was scrapped.

08:37 - WHY NOT THOUGH?? What is the harm in letting Bee try to kill Megatron? + that’s the way a dog acts when you’re trying to stop them from barking.
08:44 - Bee was still fighting against Bulkhead, how could he not have gotten free? Granted, there isn’t much experience to go off with how strong Bee is when he’s angry, but it would be a safe assumption that Bulkhead’s weak grip on Bee’s shoulder’s would’ve been ineffective in restraining him.
08:47 - Doesn’t Optimus say if someone’s been hurt?
08:57 - no, why did they give Bumblebee the same personality as my dogs? He forgot to be angry for a second, before turning around

09:02 - then she puts her hand on his back and right before they fade out, he’s leaning forward, most likely to check Raf. (It happens too quickly for any screenshots)

09:41 - ‘into’ implies that it’s in a seperate room.

10:09 - as soon as Ratchet started freaking out is when Bee expressed being upset.
10:10 - to note is that Bee curled up his hand, which is what Optimus does whenever he’s not totally calm.
10:17 - Was about to point out that Ratchet just called Raf weak, until I realised that it’s what Megatron was doing. Megatron deemed Bumblebee the weakest of the autobots, which is why he attacked him, but wasn’t bothered by Bee not having suffered because he still harmed someone weaker therefore still fulfilling the prophecy.
10:46 - heavily animated Megatron.
10:55 - his eyes do be purple… and lined up correctly.
11:20 - they’ve become aware.
11:27 - I’m embarrassed to say I thought that was a transformer at first.
11:35 - I mean.. maybe??
11:39 - How would June intend to stabilise him if she doesn’t know the severity of it.
11:56 - this would be a more effective speak if we haven’t seen her act super recklessly in honour of Tailgate and Cliff.
12:01 - AIN’T THAT RICH! + Seriously though, whatever he had said was probably a threat and he punched a wall, expressing emotions when they become overwhelming is a way to manage emotions and keep them in check. It was better he yell and do repairable damage than suppress it and let it build up over time until it becomes too overwhelming and he hurts someone.
12:37 - Ya know, Ratchet could’ve used that free time to check on Bee. May have given him a hint to work out what they could do to help Raf, or, at least, have kept both of them occupied for a bit.

If that's true, then why wouldn't he have suspected that it wasn't energon when Bee was showing no signs of being affected by an energon blast.
15:23 - I refuse to believe that Bee wouldn’t have been affected by the dark Energon too. There is no way that Megatron would have a type of energon and use it to fight the Autobots if it does not hurt them. Megatron would have had no reason to believe that Bumblebee was hurt if he knew that dark Energon had no effect on bots. The plot hole that is Bee not being affected by the energon could’ve been avoided had Bee pulled over, let Raf out, then Megatron attack, completely missing Bee, but hitting Raf.

It’s a good episode, don’t get me wrong, but that plot hole in the B plot is annoying and makes no sense. If normal energon hurts a bot, dark energon would too. As I said, they should’ve had Raf already out of the car, then Megatron misses Bumblebee, but hits Raf. Instead he hit Bumblebee directly. No way could the energon have gone directly to Raf and not have effected Bee. (This is the fox I mentioned: Not The Only One by Princess Loveless)
As for the A plot, it certainly carries the episode and is a lot more action packed. Towards the end it became more seperate to the B plot, but contrasts a fair bit, so they feel like two different episodes, rather than just the one with a distinct A and B plot.
Honestly I dunno if I’d watch it in a select binge. In a general binge? Absolutely!

creativity needs the mind and the intent .. just the either and its likely to go wrong .. an art created by the one that creates it is explainable only to the one who did it .. what went behind its reason to do .. why the way , what the process in doing the way .. did it come suddenly or in phases .. a random thought translated into the urge .. what ..
The answers are many and varied .. and I do presume they shall never be on the same plane as any other .. individuals are similar in their construct .. a normal birth construct .. but differ or can differ in temperament and behave .. seldom is the fact that two have reason to drive in the same lane .. most of the time the other either overtakes or drives behind or breaks highway rules and speeds past .. 
that is destruction ..
not just of the law , but also of the mind that thought and manufactured the create ..
and when the thought differs , it has destructive qualities hidden behind it .. and that is most disturbing ..
it should never be brought to pass to reach that stage .. life is to live .. not to allow it to overtake you without reason .. and this not a very potent reason .. 
but of this I am happy and sure .. the process of creativity is the most enlightening and fulfilling breathe of the human ..

Returning the favor for the writing asks! (And you're right, there's SO MANY good ones!)
1, 3, 11, 13, 17, 20, 35, 54, 55, and 74 please!
I see ten numbers so we're just gonna assume this should in theory be split into ten asks but it's gonna be one doctorate thesis length post so be warned as usual and here we go!
1) Do you prefer writing one-shots or multi-chapter fics?
See already I have a cop out answer ready because I like doing both! A good portion of my multi chaptered fics started out as one shots, actually. A Song of Stars and Magic started as an alternative look at how The Avengers could have ended that spun way way way too out of control. 29 chapters and two plus years of nitpicking and adding and writing later...
As we know Diplopia started as a one shot before it, too, spun out of control and got six seasons and a movie. The Weirdo From Saint Valentina's is gonna get an additional three chapters and that started as a one shot (I'm very excited to show people what I have planned for that can of worms).
But, you know, Facade was always a longfic. I never finished it but I at least stopped at a decent enough stopping point. One could believe that's how I chose to end it if a) I didn't outright say I never finished it and b) it's not actually marked as incomplete on AO3. Time Variance Detected was a long fic by design because of the episodic chapters. One episode of the series was one chapter and that trend will continue with it's eventual sequel.
His Tenebris Moenibus was always a longfic. It's gonna have a sequel once season 5 comes out. It's kind of exciting but a little nervewracking that part of the anticipation that comes with Stranger Things' finale is also me being able to find out how Emily's story is going to end. I'm on the same page as my readers as of now. None of us knows how that will go and it's exciting and... oh good god it's also fucking terrifying.
But I love writing my small, stand alone one shots. Little nuggets of story. Ways to explore alternative ideas and plot bunnies that are too big for a simple idea but (in some cases, at least) are too small for a full, dedicated fic.
So... they kind of go hand in hand, really. I love the planning and complexity a longfic requires, but I love the bite sized freedom one-shots give. But one shots with me sometimes turn into longfics. So... one shots, I suppose, if you put a gun to my head and made me choose.
3) Describe the creative process of writing a chapter/fic
It varies from project to project. Nine times out of ten, though, it starts out as one of my elaborate daydreams. I have to mentally plan everything at the very least before I write even if I don't write down those plans or outlines all the time. The ideas come in bursts, sometimes with listening to music, sometimes when watching a piece of media, sometimes with the Holy Grail of idea generation: the shower.
Most of any kind of "creative process" with my fics happens mentally. Sometimes I just get so many ideas for a fic that I have to make a bullet pointed plan or an outline. I have a server on discord that just has me in it where I send things to myself or write notes. It's just an alternative for a notes app, really. I have pages of ideas and outlines there. I remember doing this for Necrosis specifically when that last large piece of the narrative puzzle just came to me and then I got so excited I wrote out an outline I still continue to follow.
I wouldn't really go as far to say I'm a planner, though. Most of my fics are more spur of the moment.
Sometimes I have to research as well. I have wikis bookmarked on my laptop in a folder called "The Sacred Texts." The most notable time this happened was with Diplopia and I wanted to better understand these characters before I wrote about them... and now I know too much, go figure.
Ultimately it's kind of chaotic is what it boils down to. I get an idea, sometimes I plan it, sometimes I research it, and then I just kinda... let my brain do what she do.
11) Link your three favorite fics right now

13) What's a common writing tip you almost always follow?
Okay, so I don't know if this is exactly a common tip, but it is THE end all be all writing advice I've ever gotten. A few years ago I watched a virtual book discussion for one of my favorite authors, Christopher Paolini since he had just released a new book ("To Sleep in A Sea of Stars").
Side note he had actually given us a sneak peek of the book a couple years before that when I went to an in person book signing of his when he released a coloring book for his Eragon series that I still have, actually, it's very cool.
Anyways, one piece of advice he gave was to plan out exactly what you want to write in your head throughout the day. So, you know, come up with dialogue scenes when you're eating lunch or how to start your story/chapter's opening paragraphs in the car etc. And then once it's "writing time" you don't have to waste "writing time" coming up with ideas right then, you just need to transcribe your thoughts from the day and then work from there.
I do it for every single piece of writing I put out, even in micro ways. Sometimes I get impulsive and post one shots I wrote in like, two hours, but the hour or so before that, I was laying in bed with music going, eyes closed just organizing and basically writing in my head. It helps me weed through my thoughts prior and saves me a lot of time in the long run.
Also because I fixate on my fics, I'm constantly thinking about them anyways so this advice is just how my brain operates anyways.
17) What do you do when writing becomes difficult? (Maybe a lack of inspiration or writer's block)
This happens pretty frequently. It's more like I have the motivation to write but I can't physically bring myself to actually type it out. Typically what I do is I just let it happen. If I'm de-motivated I won't be writing at my best and the product won't be at the level I would want it to be at. The dialogue and scene pacing would get clunky and then it just feels stiff. I'll eventually get my motivation back.
But in the meantime I'm doing more planning (daydreaming), I'm looking at pinterest for ideas, I have music going, whatever I need to help me not only get my motivation/will to write back, but with more ideas and inspiration than I had in the first place. More often than not I just need to find that one perfect idea that hypes me up enough to finish the chapter/one shot/what have you.
It was a huge help with Necrosis in particular since some of the filler chapters I trudged to get through, but I was motivated by the chapters that set up that big twist at the end or even those chapters themselves. That's another idea, I sometimes write the scenes I'm excited for ahead of time because I'd rather take advantage of that motivation rather than let it die and then leave more work in the future. I had those three particular chapters of Necrosis all completely done, and that's three whole chapters of work I was done with.
Basically, to sum up: Accept the fact that there will be times you want to write but can't. Find the time in between to come up with more ideas. Then, if you get motivation but for something other than that next chapter you need to write, just write that something else. Means less work in the future and it leaves room to experiment.
20) Have you noticed any patterns in your fics? Words/Expressions that appear a lot, themes, common settings, etc?
Well, corruption arcs, obviously. I'm a sucker for redemption arcs, of course, but there's something so cathartic about having a character arc involve going batshit rather than having a come to Jesus moment. But at the same time, usually my corruption arcs happen because of outside forces.
I like to take an optimistic approach to life, that nobody's born evil, it's their choices and environments that can fuck everything up. My characters never start out as evil, but typically the longer they have negative influences, the more it may seem like it. Like the juxtaposition between Olivia's downfall in SoSaM and Emily's spiral downwards.
We know something went wrong to cause Olivia to do horrible things, and it wasn't her fault. So there's a bit of space to sympathize with her because likely her real self is trapped inside of her mind, screaming to be let out and appalled at what she's done. She's naturally a good person with a tricksy streak, not a genocidal maniac. Emily seems more like a bad egg from birth, but that's because her life was set on a downward slope the minute she was popped out and given up. Then it's just nonstop abuse, tragically. St. Valentina's was a horrid place to live, two years on the streets, twenty years in Hawkins Lab... the Upside Down is arguably her best place of residence and you've seen how hazardous and desolate it is. I guarentee you'd lose your mind, too. And this isn't even mentioning my Mind Flayer theory.
I take the optimistic approach to a very pessimistic trope, but the secret is that I usually find the exterior corruption along the way. At first, the characters usually start by fucking shit up for no reason because I want to throw my action figures together and explore the consequences of poor actions before I feel bad and then decide to find the proverbial "Palpatine" in the Anakin to Vader fall from grace.
Of course, smaller things could be my blue rose motifs, my frequent uses of meta humor/references, and how sometimes you can tell I just remembered a cool word and use it three times each paragraph. Also just the Villain's Favorite Person trope, which with me goes hand in hand with the Corruption Arc. It's demented but there's an inherrent appeal in loving someone so much you'd do anything for them. Someone who's done horrible things being gentle only with the one they love. That sort of shit.
I'm sure there are others I'm forgetting.
35) What's one essential thing to remember when writing a villain?
Motivations and how they're not always one-dimensional. All the best villains are ones we can understand, sympathize with because we understand their motives. Sometimes yeah, it's fun to just watch a bad guy fuck shit up for the sake of fucking shit up, but Malekith-type villains are rarely all that memorable (in fact I bet I'm one of maybe six people who remembered his name was Malekith).
I like it when my villains are a little bit sad, wet, and pathetic, or I can mold them to be like that. Look at the characters I ship my OCs with, look at all their drama, their family angst, their abusive pasts, among other things. Even the villains I don't ship my characters with who I use as actual villains, I make sure to analyze their motivations and reasonings.
You have your Thanos types who are trying to do a good thing for the way wrong reasons. Like, my guy, just double the resources. I know some Thanos truthers exist, but I just can't quite see it.
See it hurts knowing Henry would probably agree with Thanos to some degree. I'm a hypocrite for disagreeing with Thanos and being like "yes king go off, fuck humanity" when Henry monologues.
Or, how about delving into something I've only recently been able to discuss because of spoiler reasons, arguably the most complex thing Stephenie Meyer ever came up with that's rarely mentioned and she didn't do anything with: the situation with Didyme. This is what Stephenie Meyer's website mentions about the event, our most thorough analysis on it:
"Once upon a time, a fairly young vampire (he had only been a vampire for a decade and a half) named Aro changed his young sister Didyme, who had just reached adulthood, in order to add her to his growing coven. Aro always wanted power, and because he himself had a potent mind-reading gift, he hoped his biological sister would also be gifted in a way that would help him rise in the vampire world. It turned out that Didyme did have a gift; she carried with her an aura of happiness that affected everyone who came near her. Though it wasn't exactly what he had hoped for, Aro pondered the best ways he could use this gift. Meanwhile, Aro's most trusted partner, Marcus, fell in love with Didyme. This was not unusual; given the way she made people feel, lots of people fell in love with Didyme. The difference was that this time, Didyme fell in love herself. The two of them were tremendously happy. So happy, in fact that, after a while, they no longer cared that much about Aro's plans for domination. After a few centuries, Didyme and Marcus discussed going their own way. Of course, Aro was well aware of their intentions. He was not happy about it, but he pretended to give his blessing. Then he waited for an opportunity to act, and when he knew he would never be found out, he murdered his sister. After all, Marcus's gift was much more useful to him than hers had been. This is not to say that Aro did not truly love his sister; it's just that a key part of his personality is the ability to destroy even what he loves in order to further his ambitions. Marcus never found out that Aro was responsible for Didyme's death. He became an empty man. Aro used Chelsea's gift to keep Marcus loyal to the Volturi, though not even Chelsea's gift could make Marcus show any enthusiasm for it."
That's surprisingly a lot of information and it really shows how much thought she has the capacity to put into these characters, yet refuses to, but I digress. All I did was take the Machivellian motivation mixed with the genuine love Aro had for his sister and just expanded upon that. Alas, actions do have consequences, and Emily's a little shit so go figure.
The point is, villains need to have good motives to make them stick.
54) What's your favorite part of the fanfiction writing process?
That moment when everything, every disparate piece and idea just clicks together and the plot finally comes forward. Usually I start with an idea and find the plot along the way. I think my most classic case would have to be Necrosis. I started with just "Diplopia Sequel" and then ended with:

55) Of the characters you write for, which is your favorite?
Oh, god, that's hard, cause I don't typically write for characters I *dislike* writing for. And then that question changes depending on if you mean OCs or canon characters.
I suppose my favorite OC has been Emily since it's been a blast seeing what wacky shit I can do with her. Olivia's gonna be making a comeback soon, though, since Loki s2 is DAYS AWAY AAAAAA- But I missed working with her, it's been a HOT minute.
Favorite Canon is a broader arguement since there's so many fandoms and characters I've written for. Obviously the characters I ship with my OCs I enjoy because I have to be able to see them in a certain way to write them that makes me like them. It has be a joy expanding upon the Volturi though, I'm very proud of what I've come up with. Loki, Sylvie, and Mobius have also been fun and I'm very excited to mess with them again. Eddie was fun to pit against Emily and in particular I remember really enjoying writing the parent/child dynamics between Harry and Keira.
Take your pick I suppose.
74) You've posted a fic anonymously. How would someone be able to guess that you'd written it?
Well, obviously look for my trademarks, playing with morals, blue roses, meta asides. And nine times out of ten if it's a Canon x OC fic, there's a high chance it's a brain child of mine.
But let's very hypothetically say I was to post the one shots I hope to write about Caius and Athenodora's backstories anonymously. Since these characters are so open to interpretation you could probably pick out unique things specific to me about them. Thena has a penchant for swearing and will Cut A Bitch, Caius is a massive wife guy and is extremely horny...
You know come to think of it, these are pretty universally agreed upon ideas... except perhaps Thena's swearing habit, I will stand by the fact that she drops f-bombs like nobody's business.
But aside from all that, I think there's a certain diction and voice my writing has that one could probably pick up on overtime. I'd say assume if you think I wrote it, I probably did.
