Good Omens 2 may have wrecked my heart and soul and I may not recover until season 3 is released but believe me when I tell you it DELIVERED. I am a sucker for a good confrontation in a love story, and but I (personally) so rarely find them. It is a miscommunication trope, but it’s just a lack of understanding and innate differences in character that are keeping them apart!! rather than someone overhearing something and getting the wrong idea (looking at you, Shrek and the Fiona Sunflower scene). But when it is derived from programmed ideals and nurtured habits and beliefs it is so interesting when they conflict, i mean…

Do y’all understand how narratively SATISFYING it will be when aziraphale and crowley come together in the end and learn how to be with each other?? Just be?? The catharsis we will all experience because these two motherfuckers will have gone through the abyss or the bottomless pit or whatever the rock bottom stage is called in the hero’s journey only to come out of it?? And still choose to love each other?? Do you know how strong their love has got to be to pull that off??

Because this show is all about how love wins. LOVE WINS!! Not in some low effort, poor design quality slogan to grab your attention as well as your wallet in a target pride merch section, but in a real sense that love conquers all. Ok, that is still cheesy, but it really does!! The lengths that people go for each other because they love, it can’t be beat!! Like, the fact that Crowley’s and Aziraphale’s Miracle Magic Time is strongest when they work together because they are in LOOVVEEE. Good Omens is not about choosing a side and fighting to the death for loyalty’s sake, it’s about loving someone to the extreme that you will go to any lengths for them, fight to protect them, care for them, want to make the world better for them!! That is a force that cannot be beaten because love refuses to bow to anything!!Because love is bloodthirsty and raw and domestic and charming, and the breakup basically guarantees that we WILL see this force in action because we already KNOW their love is strong and deep enough to withstand this…

When these two come together in the end, I will fall to my knees in worship and make a god out of Neil Gaiman Himself because they will have earned it, because they will have come to a better understanding of themselves and be prepared to love without hesitation and without barriers. And it will be so beautiful.

Can you honestly sacrifice this future just for the instant gratification of them getting together at the end of season 2?? Can you look me in the eye and tell me that you prefer them living in unresolved, nonverbal ignorance because you’re too afraid of making them face their fears of being alone and being without purpose first??

Season 1 made me realize my personal philosophy on the nature of humanity and choice and sides, but now I really see that it’s about choosing to be on the side of what you love, and how that loyalty is the only true thing and the universe.

(But before you think “well, Crowley was ready to give up everything and love Aziraphale, but Aziraphale chose not to be on his side and love him” you forget that Aziraphale wants to fix the system to be fair to people like Crowley because he loves him and believes him to be the most “good” out of anyone he’s met, even himself! He loves him so much he wants to fix the world for him, and he did what he thought was right by not wavering and committing to his mission, even if that meant losing him!!)

God, I love this show so much. The book, the radio, my precious vinyl records of the soundtrack (love you David Arnold, muah), and even the graphic novel I will never see for at least a year, it’s just all so incredibly important to me. Good Omens has helped me realize what I truly believe in and has really influenced my outlook on life. And wow that is cheesy, but it’s ok that this show makes me insane, how it makes me ramble on tumblr at midnight because of the appreciation it has given me for the world around me, because I feel so much love doing so.

I wish I could express everything this show has made me feel. But my feelings are simply ineffable.

Evay QA Bulk Post 1

I’m working through my inbox but don’t want to drown y’all’s feed in my asks so I’m grouping as many together as I can. Q&A below:

MISC SONIC ASKS

Thank you so very much! I was trying to really combine both Amy and Sonic’s aesthetics. Amy is classy and design oriented so I wanted to keep that feel, but I wanted to show how their home would evolve once she and Sonic start living together. Sonic’s never canonically had a house, but he travels so much that I headcanon that he’s constantly collecting trinkets and souvenirs from all the places he’s visited. So I wanted to give them a very “worldly” design style. If you’re familiar with Uncharted 4, I picture Sonic and Amy’s house being very much like Nate and Elena’s beach house.

I love interior design and architecture but I’m not great at drawing it (yet). Once I improve I want to do a full layout of their house for my stories (and the future Shadora Fortress).

I really enjoyed the movies and I’m excited for the third! I hope they give Shadow a voice that’s deep and delicious and doesn’t sound like a sniveling villain. I don’t like it when they cast him with a very generic evil voice, I prefer it when he’s got depth. Honestly I’d be happy if they stuck with Ian Hanlin, he’s perfect to me.

For the record, I absolutely love that game. Some of my favorite memories involve me and my best friend playing it. He ABSOLUTELY is an avid gun collector. I love seeing the memes of Shadow just rambling off about gun details. BUT HE KEEPS THAT CRAP LOCKED UP IN A SAFE AND UNLOADED AT ALL TIMES!!!!

At least for my stories he isn’t one to actually threaten to harm anybody for wanting to date his kids. He dealt with that enough trying to be with Aurora. But you can bet he won’t think anybody’s worthy to date his kids lol

First of all, I am ALWAYS down for Sonic singing his feelings. Like that is my #1 favorite thing in every story. Whenever he breaks out the guitar/lute I’m like “HELL YEAH LET’S DO THIS”

Secondly, that SONG omg!!! I’d never heard it before but wow 😭 I couldn’t love it more. I completely agree and thank you so much for sharing with me!

That is so funny that you say that. It was not my intention to make human Sonic look like RCS but honestly he is my favorite Sonic at this point so maybe it came out subliminally! Also I think Roger is just so damn handsome so I will take that as a compliment lol!

SHIPPING ASKS

I do ship them but I don’t know about them having kids. I don’t really know those characters well enough to write family members for them and I wouldn’t want to do it wrong. Thank you!

I’m fine with any of your ships as long as it’s not with relatives. And as long as you keep my characters “in character” then that’s fine.

Interesting! 🤔 I haven’t heard that pairing before but hey I’m certainly not going to tell you that you can’t ship them together.

I loved Amy the minute I saw her so just from a superficial level I was like “These two are too cute together!” But I really fell in love with them when their story evolved and we got to see their dynamism in the games outside of just a cute little pink sprite in Sonic CD. And Sonic X really sealed the deal haha So many romantic moments between them in that show, God bless.

Sonic and Amy were just making out, not anything more. Orbot and Cubot aren’t accustomed to seeing that so that’s why they reacted that way.

I don’t have any plans on that at the moment. I like that universe and I especially loved how Sonic acted around her in it, but idk if I’ll make a comic about it. But I can never say never!

PERSONAL ASKS

I’m sorry to have worried you, but honestly I was okay while I was away. I went through a lot of major life events and I had lost my drawing mojo and was fighting to get it back. But now it’s back with a vengeance!

I plan on doing both. I know several amazing parents who do a wonderful job raising their kids and still follow their passion.

Thank you so much! I’m self-taught, but I’ve researched a lot of tutorials and references to help me improve over my life. The number one thing people need to study if they want to do comics or animations or anything is ANATOMY! You don’t have to take an anatomy class (I didn’t), but look up references and tutorials to learn how the spine works, how the muscles work, proportions, etc. Even if your characters don’t fall into the typical human form, you still need to understand skeletal structure and muscles.

I’m not an avid listener but I do like some if her songs :)

I’m in the process of assembling that. There’s a lot so it’s taking time lol

AURORA ASKS

Thank you! Yes that’s pretty accurate. Their family is all about honesty and telling the truth, but younger Aurora doesn’t like to share all the details with Sonic because he’s so reactive with her and will quickly try to fix whatever the problem is and Aurora wants to learn to fix it herself. Amy is more willing to just listen to Aurora and offer advice if Aurora asks for it. Amy WANTS to beat up whoever is upsetting her daughter but she also knows the importance of learning how to fight for yourself so she wants Aurora to feel empowered to do that.

Thank you! I hope you’re having a great day too! I think Amy is better at TALKING through feelings and Sonic’s better at the overall cheering up way of handling things. So as long as there’s nothing terribly awful bothering Aurora and she’s just feeling a little down, he’ll find ways to make her laugh. Sometimes that means walking in unexpectedly in a costume to shock her or dragging her out of the room to have a musical jam session together.

Sonic’s also known to give people flowers when they’re sad in canon (he does this regularly in the games and in Sonic X), so he’ll bring her bright, colorful flowers to make her smile.

In my AU, Eggman has already kind of peaked by the time of Boom!Baby. He’s softened a lot and isn’t interested so much in world domination as he just wants attention lol. Having Sage and becoming a father further helped me justify that with my AU.

He's also particularly sentimental towards Aurora since he helped deliver her, so he doesn’t really fight the team anymore. He is more like a constant pain in their sides mucking things up.

Sonic team is busy fighting other, newer foes in my AU.

Their biggest challenge is going to be the Time Travel comic that I haven’t completed yet. It’s hardest because not only will lives be put on the line, but it also touches on trust and when to let go. I’m sorry I can’t give you a more detailed answer yet but I don’t want to spoil the plot! And thank you so much!

MISC ASKS RELATED TO MY AU

Yes I just need to draw them. There are so many dang Sonic characters hahaha

It’s VERY important to Aurora for her parents to give their blessing, so Shadow will honor that and ask them for it. I already know how and when he’s going to do it, but I can’t spoil it for you yet! 😉

They’ve had three litters. I headcanon that back in the day hedgehogs used to have litters (2 or more kids) all the time but that became less and less common in modern day. But I also headcanon that as the Ultimate Lifeform, Shadow was engineered to be able to… multiply effectively. So even though they’ve only been pregnant 3 times, they keep having triplets or twins.

I do consider the First Kiss comic canon to my AU. But it happened a while before My Gal, maybe like a year or so before. Give them time to stew on that kiss hehehe

They just wanted to make a life change. The stars just happened to align at the same time haha

All the kids’ names are supposed to be based on their personalities or powers. Most Sonic characters are named that way, so I don’t know if it’s canon for Mobian parents to sense what their kid’s powers will be or not. Aurora has dreams that sometimes give her premonitions so she had inklings to what their kids might be like so she and Shadow could brainstorm ideas based on that. Also a lot of their names are outer-space-related or at least outer-space-adjacent and that was because Shadow’s a space man lol So he had influence in that.

Sonic wants all his descendants named Sonic II so he’s no help lol.

There are 3 litters. The first litter has the triplets Piper, Zane and Nova. The second litter was born almost a year and a half later and has the twins Aster and Blitz. The third litter was immediately after and that has the triplets Cinder, Diamond and Boon. All this information is listed in their character reference post.

In the beginning the family mostly just stuck to ordering online and getting home deliveries lol. But if they do have to do a grocery store run it’s a full family event. The kids all ride on Shadow (see this post). Their house has two fridges to accommodate for all the mouths to feed!

Their life certainly isn’t boring anymore 😂 It’s exhausting but they’re happy (also there are 8 kids haha!)

Aurora definitely would have asked him about this, but at least in my stories Sonic became an orphan at a young age and I don’t have him with any siblings.

I’ve had another person ask me who I picture Sonic’s parents as and I do plan on drawing a reference of them, but they’ll be unique to my stories. They won’t be from any other Sonic media.

I don’t draw Aleena, Manic and Sonia because of a couple reasons. I never watched Sonic Underground so I don’t have the allegiance/nostalgia that a lot of people have to that show. Also for my own preference, I don’t like the idea of Sonic being born to royalty. It doesn’t suit him, in my opinion. That doesn’t mean I don’t respect people who have that as a part of their canon and it doesn’t mean I have any bad feelings towards the Underground characters. I just don’t draw them. I grew up on the games and later Sonic X and Sonic Boom so my stories revolve around what I know.

It’s funny that you mention that ship because I only just learned about it from Starrjoy’s P!AU comic. Again I didn’t watch Sonic Underground so I don’t know who Bernadette is, but sure I’m down for Sonic having two moms. Families come in all shapes and sizes, so as long as they’re a loving parent or parents then I support it.

They love all their grandkids and they love spending time with them, but I think in their older age Sonic and Amy go off on more adventures again. They never stopped adventuring, but they settled down a bit while raising Aurora. Now they’re relishing a second wind and they’re frequently going on worldly explorations.

But they always make sure to attend any events the kids are involved with and are always home on Sundays for family dinner. Sunday night is dinner at Grandma and Grandpa’s! <— I have them always having dinner at their house on Sundays even before Aurora and Shadow have kids

To be honest, I never felt like they needed more. I had a comic where they discussed it hypothetically, but they’re content with just having the one kid. (Don’t worry, just because they’re not having kids does NOT mean they aren’t… active 😈 They’re very VERY much so!). I am okay with fan stories where people give Aurora siblings and there’s a fic I’m reading right now that involves Sonic and Amy having a whoopsie baby way late in life and adult Aurora is having to deal with that and I love it lol. But just for my own writing, it’s a single-child household.

“What’s so Special About the Moon?”

Jamil Viper x MC(insert character Mac)

(Ch. 1) – Ch. 2 – Ch. 3 – Ch. 4 – Next – Previous

This was originally supposed to be, like, a single chapter hurt/comfort before my OC (Mac) and Jamil as a song fic where they berate him and then sing a song referencing the moon… but then I had feelings and it’s becoming a more in depth character study between the two. Don’t worry! By the end of this mini series, there will be song lyrics and more sappiness… it’s just now that I’ve finished both Book 4 and Book 5, I need to reorganize the events and specific and whatnot. Some quick housekeeping as always: I tried to make Jamil to encompass both his dark & mysterious villain persona ALONG WITH him practically being a fucking child so that’s why I wrote him like *this* so yeah… I’m moving around the timeline so that Yuu/MC (aka Mac) has the weekend to GET THEIR SHIT TOGETHER LOL, Mac is about 19-20 (haven’t decided yet) and uses mixed pronouns as a heads up, Ch. 2 has a 1st draft written put still needs to be typed up and edited. If you see a typo NO YOU DIDN’T!!! This one of my first times trying a different writing doc that isn’t Google (cuz fuck Google) and it’s a little weird to get used to and edit stuff. It’s beta-d in the sense that licking the spatula while your mom bakes cookies and claiming that you helped… literally only a few paragraphs were checked over y’all.

Quick shout-out to @krenenbaker and @twst-beam for inspiring my writing thus far (and sorry for taking so long to post this lol!)

I’ll be releasing some type of overview of my OC eventually, but take these snippets as they go while I fall back in love with writing. You’ll meet Mac in full when xey are good and ready… anyway, please enjoy Chapter 1 of my new fanfiction, “What’s So Special About the Moon?”

“Here. You can use this one,” Jamil directed towards the plain (compared to the rest of the dorm) laundry… mat? There were several industrial sized washer and dryers, a couple moderate-sized one’s that would fit a regular apartment complex, and a long wall designated area for hand washed items. Jamil was keeping the door prompt open with his hips; his slight frown of concentration and the flick of his Magic Pen were the only signs of the current spell he had going. Turning around, MC was slightly surprised by the massive piles of fabric that was being corralled in via multiple a massive sheet tied to multiple brooms. They still couldn’t fully grasp the concept (and power) of magic and seeing it so casually performed on a day-to-day basis was kinda daunting.

“Thanks again for letting us use the space along with showing me how to properly clean all these fancy duds and whatnot.” the Ramshackle Perfect awkwardly trailed off. Their focus was split between stealing peaks at the Scarabia Vice Warden, not wanting to bother the already busy Sophomore, and surveying over the dusty, damaged antique pieces the two stripped from the halls of the previously abandoned dorm. Rugs, carpets, curtains, furniture covers (in varying state of disrepair) dulled of their once rich and vibrant color. The patterns were a mix of stuffy academia and the quiet comfort of a grandparents cottage living room. Both extravagant, yet understated. It’s a style lost to time, but not quite a revived ancient aesthetic.

At this point MC was fully lost in thought; they desperately needed to clean, fix, organize and decorate the dorm in preparation to host so many guests. Even with his limited memories, they had a feeling they’d never hear the end of it from his parents.

“Don’t worry about it much.” Jamil said, interrupting their musings. “Honestly, I’m doing this as much for myself as I am helping you.

With a flick of his wrist, Jamil organized the seemingly random crumbled piles of fabric by condition, color and use. His movements while cleaning were quick, smart, and efficient-- all while patiently showing Mac which order to start in along with the best way to clean them.

“Ya’ know…” MC broke the relative quietness between the two workers, “Even with everything thing that happened over break, I understand why Kalim still trusts you; I almost can believe that you’re not that bad of a guy.” Jamil gave xem a startled (and exasperated) look, but they continued before he could respond: “I fail to see how helping the person who ruined your ‘world domination’ plans—”

“They were hardly World Domination level!” He quickly snapped. His embarrassment led to him tugging his hood further down his face, teeth slightly clenched, and dilated eyes as MC continued listing all the ways he’s “helped” them out.

The magic-less Perfect laughed to themselves the more conflicting emotions flew across Jamil’s face. Eventually those same emotions were compressed behind a cold, smooth mask. Limestone slabs and stiff mud brick walls were swiftly constructed between the two working-class students. Something about it didn’t sit right with Mac.

“Hey I’m not saying what you pulled wasn’t a dick move! But you’re also not the first overly-traumatized teen boy I’ve had to deal with… and between what you’ve said about yourself, plus thing’s I’ve heard and seen, I’m starting to think you’re not nearly as complicated as you think you are.” The longer they argued *to* him, the more Jamil’s mask began to crack; there were a few holes in his walls he didn’t account for. Xe’s a tad more observant than I remember, but weirdly just as persistent, Jamil internally rolled his eyes.

“I could still change my mind and send you back to deal with the Pomefiore Wrath(tm),” He mumbled while gracefully lugging the newly cleaned (and damp) furniture coverings into an empty drier. Despite his harsh threat, MC still remembered him assuring the other this laundry room was only ever used by him after Kalim’s parties.

The large machines and larger working space was specifically added for the servant to clean and repair any decor or Asim Family Treasures when Kalim’s recklessness caused a larger mess than usual. This meant that Mac and Grim (who was originally supposed to be helping… where the hell was he anyway?) could do as many loads needed without worry. On top of the borrowed space, the Housewarden himself had cheerily has assured them, his Oasis Maker would replace all the water used ten times over!

Mac’s thoughts were interrupted once again as Jamil relented, “I told you, I’m doing this to help me.” After receiving an unconvinced eyebrow raise, Jamil began to explain, “Kalim might’ve announced us as equals but I still have a job to do. If he got sick while spending Allah knows how long in a dusty, dirty, shabby condemned building like Ramshackle I’ll never hear the end of it.”

“It’s not nearly that bad anymore!” the sole-human resident of said dorm argued, but was quickly shut up with a tired gesture towards the untouched loads of laundry left to be done.

“On top of that,” Jamil smirked “Even a common peasant like myself wouldn’t sleep in a rundown garbage heap if I can help it.” His smirk slowly slide off his face from his face as the insulted Perfect almost ripped the handful of soapy doilies, that they were previously scrubbing by hand, as xey prepared a retaliation.

“OK, first of all! This whole Inferior-Superior shtick isn’t going to prove your point. If I’m being totally honest, I’m pretty used to the bratty, arrogant attitude of teenagers by now (even if I wasn’t Leona is a thousand times worse).” They turned their full body to face the 2nd year boy before continuing the assault. “Secondly, even just doing the bare minimum would’ve been fine, considering I’ve slowly been deep cleaning them place room by room. This is just last minute cleaning considering I wasn’t expected to host six extra people in two days.”

The shock of Mac’s care and attention to detail couldn’t win over Jamil’s newfound freedom to be right… and sassy while doing it. “Keep in mind you wouldn’t be the only one having to deal with Vil. His expectations are much higher than my personal standards—”

“Getting there!” MC interrupted again. “It’s not like Vil and whoever else couldn’t magic things better or get things done over at Pomefiore.” However, their fire started to die down with their obvious lack of understanding of magic. Not that Xeir level of intellect ever stopped them from talking out of their ass during debates… even if this wasn’t exactly shaping up to be anything like Debate Club back home.

“Not the point!” Mac built back their steam after thoughtlessly shaking off any internal distractions. “Third of all,” Jamil groaned not-so-quietly, “third of all, you didn’t have to show me how to do it. Nor did you have to continue helping me. There’s only so much I could pay you back in favors and it’s not like you’ll make back the time and energy spent. You’re obviously a bit of a piece of shit but I don’t totally blame…”

Jamil suddenly gave Mac his full attention. He smoothed any emotional tells from his face and readied himself to actively dissect what ever left xeir mouth and any messages in between the lines. The silence prompted Mac to drip extra sincerity as they begin to ramble without thinking.

“… I get why you did what you did. You’re not totally forgiven, but it’s not like I’ll hold a grudge over you forever. Whenever I joke about Winter Break I thought you knew it was just that: a joke.”

The two stared at one another for a few beats. Jamil betrayed nothing that he was thinking, but Mac could practically feel the exasperation flooding off of him in great waves. The disbelief pushing and pulling off of him, despite remaining stone cold to zeir admission. So, of course, they continued with slight for fever:

“Yeah, okay, you held us all prisoner, enslaved via hypnosis your entire dorm, and nearly killed multiple students. Twice.” Mac cringed at their own blunt statement, “… But why would you go as far as you did, if you didn’t care! What your parents, and more specifically your culture, put you through wasn’t fair—but you obviously still love and cherish them!”

At this, he seemed to get even more guarded. It felt patronizing to be hold how he supposedly felt or why he should feel a specific way. They hadn’t been there. They hadn’t grown up as a Viper in the Desert, constantly reminded by Kalim’s Mirage of wealth what he could never have. They didn’t know the FIRST thing about the Scalding Sands—!

“… How do you know anything about my parents? Did Kalim--?!” He choked out infuriated at the mere implication.

“Relax Viper! It’s all in the Secret of The Ooze™”

“What?”

“Never mind…”

The usual absurdity of MC’s references (much to xeir chagrin that no one seemed to understand them) Jamil allowed himself a shadow of a smirk. Right about now they’d drop what they were saying and instead empathize with him over terrible bosses. They’d both fall back into a familiar pattern of quiet understanding while making playful small talk; maybe Xe’d make a remark over how “hellish” the desert temperature is and moan about being “a poor Northern forced into the sun” before dragging them both off to grab an abominably sweet drink that Kalim would still put sugar in. Xe had always been could at mediating with the other students at NCR.

However, they didn’t drop it. They continued to push him… especially when they realized that he expected the conversation to have ended and started to relax. Xey pushed and pushed and pushed. Finally, they had circled back to him rebelling from his status.

“What? You think I’d be Happier staying a lowly servant?! I’d rather cut my own tongue out than remain bending to Kalim’s will for the rest of my days.” He huffed, still not stopping his assault on the pile of laundry in front of him.

A frustrated sigh left Mac as Xey tried to get their point across, “THAT’S NOT WHAT I’M SAYING!… Obviously, you don’t love being forced into child labor or having to pretend to be something you’re not, but that doesn’t mean you’re totally being honest with yourself either. Rebelling adolescents often do a complete 180 of who they once presented as in an extreme action to feel validated.”

Jamil scoffed in indignation at the impromptu therapy session he’d been forced into.

“Just because you were forced to lie sometimes as ‘Servant Jamil’ doesn’t mean those memories or feelings weren’t authentic!”

“My Childhood, my Pride, my ENTIRE LIFE was stolen from me before I could even open my eyes, Mac! Who could cherish that sort of future?”

“I’m not disputing that! I’m not trying, in any way, to imply that what you went through didn’t fucking suck. But just because you’ve started saying the quiet part out loud doesn’t mean you’re being totally honest either. Switching one mask for another just means nothing has changed but your ability to bitch about-it to the kid you literally Grew Up With, Jamil.” A tired resignation was growing in their eyes as they headed to the end of xeir rant.

It was clear MC was starting to speak in circles and xey weren’t going to be able to get through to them. A heavy weight sunk deep in their chest, slowly sliding to xeir stomach the more he misunderstood the magic-less student. I saw him drown in the depths of his own helplessness and self-pity, but even after he’s been pulled out it’s like he can’t help but dive back in for a swim. It was a suffocating thought while Mac watched as Jamil once again went stone-faced… Like what he was about to say would be his final shield before walking away. It’s a shame that the Ramshackle Resident had become too used to throwing bombs over walls and blowing verbal shields to smithereens after months of being stuck in Twisted Wonderland.

“I’m not sugarcoating or bowing down to anyone anymore. I won’t bite my tongue. I won’t put on a Happy Face to Kalim’s idiotic, half-thought out ideas again. I’m slowly gaining my freedom, something you clearly don’t understand. Just because you’re as blind as he is doesn’t mean anything! What more could you want from me?!” He hissed his final insult before finally stepping away from his station. Not leaving the room, he aggressively got himself a cup of water from one of the sink and gulped the unfiltered water down.

“Just because you’re not hiding your bitter, knee-jerk reaction from an unfair world doesn’t mean you aren’t still hiding away and lying about your more vulnerable emotions.” Mac whispered in an emotionless tone. “Cutting a part of your past off and pretending it was never there is doing yourself a disservice and lying to those that still care about you… And there sure-as-shit isn’t much that I hate more than a Fucking Liar.”

The lacy doilies sat in a sudsy basin, left forgotten as the two students stood a mere paces from each other—both maintaining an uncomfortably intense eye contact. The sloshing thump of the washers and stirring hum of driers harmonizing were the only song to accompany the two’s stare down. A short hiccup as Mac took a drawn out breath was the only reaction between the two of them. The combined heat of Scarabia’s sun (barely past 10am) and the humidity of continued use of machinery didn’t help the suffocating air in the wide laundry room. Not to mention the loud, stifling silence to boot.

MC usually held back such honest commentary (not that they weren’t blunt) unless Xe deemed it necessary: think high stakes and a sense of urgent drama. But something about Jamil and Kalim’s situation reminded them of himself. The two’s intertwined dance of class, history, loyalty and betrayal, friendship and loss, and such overwhelming guilt reminded the dimension hoping stranger of home. Whatever that meant.

But this was no time to get lost in their own problems and Trauma’s. They’d went too far (again) and that means xey should be the bigger person (again) and deescalate the situation before he hated them (AGAIN). Which means, MC would be the one to break the silence and run away again.

“Ya’ know what? Grim’s probably burned the school down already. Don’t worry about,” Ze gestured blindly to the numerous stations they’d started, “this mess. I’ll rope my little Rat Gremlin and the Freshies into finishing this up. Hell, I could probably convince Rugs to pitch in for lunch or something. Bully the Music Club with helping in exchange of random sheet music I still remember from home.”

Their rambles became more spastic as they noticed Mr. Sugar, Spice and Not-So-Nice break out of his own trance and try to reply. “Seriously! Just enjoy the break… Not that it’s my place or responsibility to be butting in anyway. I will be back in, like, 10 minutes and from here-on-out minding my own damn business. Sorry. Whatever. See you sometime after Sunday, I guess?” Their entire monoluge Mac was slowly backing out of the room before turning around in xeir spot and just short of sprinting their way out of the dorm. A few passerby Scarabia students stopped to eavesdrop on xeir muttering… watch them leave.

Without getting a word in Jamil stood unmoving, watching the Ramshackle Perfect leave swifter than the desert wind shifting the dunes. Almost on auto-pilot, he simply left to go back to his room and do as he was told; enjoy his break. His day off. The day he could do what he liked and didn’t necessarily have to prioritize work. A day he spent working to help and assist the pitiful, magic-less loser that was dropped-kicked into another reality and forced to play nice with a University filled with overpowered and hormonal teenagers while having no way home… And in return was insulted, psychoanalyzed, and thrown aside before he could get a word in edgewise.

“Son of a STREET RAT!!!!!” It was clear he’d need a few hours to calm down before he could even think of trying to enjoy the rest of his Saturday off.

Shadowpeach:

When you had appeared in your one of you favorite tv show you were excited, but quickly realized that you’re falling; how you knew it was your one of your favorite tv show is because you had apparently appeared when mk was battling a possessed dbk.

Sadly your wheelchair had broken as it fell on a bull clone that wasn’t there before, and ended up getting crushed by it, you had also landed on the seat that hadn’t been destroyed to bad by the help of pif as soon as she noticed you falling.

That distraction had confused dbk/lbd, redson and his mother, and mk but he used that as the leverage they needed to get dbk out of his possessed state.

Mk had brought you to sun, as sun had said before that he’s retired and with the group having to battle a lot they won’t be able to take care of you so mk had thought it would be a good idea to leave you with sun.

He noticed you had a doll; the doll was him, in a princess dress….

(I couldn’t help myself I just had to lol haha 😂🤣)

Though while he was gone trying to find information about lbd and about the map to find the samadhi fire Macaque decided to take a visit.

You remember him and remembered a ship called shadowpeach for Macaque and sun, so you and as well as others shipped them.

You called him mom…. You have called sun dad before and mk big brother as well but since you had entered this world after the possession of dbk and spider queen.

He honestly was just going to leave you alone before you called him that and now he’s still you, or well was going to but that plan changed as sun came faster than macaque had anticipated.

(Oooh? What’s this change of plot, don’t mind if I do, lol.)

When sun had saw macaque holding you like a mother, he grew heart eyes in seconds. He what always wanted macaque with him and to start a family and with mk, and you here that dream can be accomplished!

Later when it was family time, the four of y’all would play charades; without using their powers so it would be fair and drawing, there was also a time were they each turned in a creature you created and gave a piggyback ride with you and the ones who either already did one or it wasn’t their turn.

He’ll protect his loved ones so he doesn’t have to be alone for another long century.

Spicynoodle:

Mk had adopted you when his boyfriend’s dad got possessed by lbd knowing he just couldn’t leave you all by your lonesome, which lead you be the grandchild of pigsy, tang, macaque, and sun.

And of course redson side of the family we have pif and dbk.

Redson had notice how you’re paralyzed in your legs soon after and decided to create a wheelchair that has a tracker built in and other thing that will help out if you’re in danger and none of them are there with you.

You were also a artist like mk so the two of you have boding time drawing in y’all free time; on that note you and redson also had bonding time, he would try and create working robot toys that you designed and explained to him as well.

They got a new house as there wasn’t anymore room for mk and the two of you, reason why redson doesn’t want to has the three of you to live with his parents is because he knew they would tell embarrassing stories and there never be a way out of that as mk would love to hear them and possibly you too.

Redson will most likely try to invent something or make a serum so you can walk again, and when that happens he’ll be a proud dad when you would walk towards one of them, more if you decide to walk towards him though, just don’t tease him about it as he would so deny.

(I ADORE tumblr because only on here have i had a user dm me to rave about a comment i left on their junker queen post and then after a long exchange on here exchange discords with me so we can rave about her writing)

(I like Twitter because we can have a similar-ish experience, but it stays in the replies and stops after 7+ tweets)

Anyways, STOP SAYING JQ AND MAD MAGGIE ARE THE SAME. They may have similar aesthetics and designs but wildly different arcs.

As previously explained, Mad Maggie is Māori New Zealander, which is super specific to her story and informs her character greatly. Junker Queen is a tan Australian with her skin color having very little influence on her story outside of showing she’s been in the sun a lot. (Personally I head-canon her as a mixed First Nations woman but that’s neither here nor there).

Both characters have their own writing flaws and virtues but that’s more a reflection of the writing team and there’s gold if you know where to look.

Mad Maggie is amazing. I’ve seen fans write her off as “crazy for the sake of crazy”. Which is just… so wrong?

Margarita Kohere’s madness is a duly faceted. She holds real, burning rage at the occupation of her homeland, and the one person who claimed to stand by her who left to seek his own dreams of glory. And her mental state is reflective of the trauma she’s endured from said occupation. She’s had to be tough as nails and even bloodthirsty to secure the autonomy and freedom of her people and do things that are morally dubious. She isn’t deranged for shits and giggles, she’s traumatized and aggressive to achieve what she views as liberation in a system determined to paint her as a villain as they takeover her home and brutalize her people. It’s there for a reason and integral to who she is.

On Junker Queen’s end she’s so cool. But there’s fans who write her off as a “dumb jock muscle mommy” which is also so wrong?! Like where are you people getting these?

(It’s the voice lines, I blame the voice lines)

Odessa Stone is aggressive yes, and her voice lines in game seem somewhat childish, but not even those reflect an unintelligent she-brute. The tough-as-nails attitude, similar to Maggie, is a product of her environment. In the Wastelands, might makes right and keeping your place in that hierarchy relies on having a level of physical superiority that can be enforced. She learned this lesson young being kicked out her home at a very young age and (presumably) losing her entire family to the radiated desert sands. Someone like that grows to understand how valuable power and the numbers to back it up is. Especially in her WL short, she is shown to be intelligent, empathetic, and a team player. The people of Junkertown lover her for a reason. She spared the lives of the former king’s lackeys and even took a hit to the face for one of them. In the art at the end, she’s shown to bring not only order, but stability and prosperity to Junkertown. She doesn’t hold herself apart from the other junkers but exercises her authority when/where its needed. She’s shown to have a great knack and intelligence for battle (as seen in her LoJQ short and the WL short) where she’s taken on a ridiculous amount of rogue omnics and slaughtered them, while utilizing non-lethal force against her human opponents in the reckoning. She’s not even remotely stupid or particularly bloodthirsty and the throwaway line about making widows and not eating her veggies got y’all fucked up.

(Honestly a bigger part of the problem is overwatch not letting their “heroes” kill in their shorts, and she’d been allowed to, she’d have been consistent at the very least from short to game but i digress.)

Overall, they not the same, neither of them suck, and they’d probably be besties if they knew each other irl. PERIOD.

LO APPRECIATION:

Okay I’ve been seeing all of the content about the wedding and.. God do I have thoughts but it’s better to just cool down now with an appreciation so I don’t say anything harsh because genuinely I’m at a point with these rants where it gets hard to say things nicely, I’m ready to just say it how it is and stop sugarcoating it. But we’re not here for that, the lovely goddess that I want to appreciate today is underrated as hell and basically an antagonist to Persephone blah blah whatever, me personally I’ve always loved her design and I genuinely think she’s peak character design. The amazing goddess that we all know and hopefully love is Hestia! And everyone clapped.

Yeahh so I thought I would hype my girl up more because genuinely I don’t like how the story treats her at fucking all. First off, I hated how they got rid of her original colors and made her look like an off brand Hera it’s really annoying and I wish they actually had character sheets down. Hestia was always right about everything I don’t care and everyone tried to make it seem like she was a prude, y’all just can’t fathom that Hades is a bad guy and that it would do Persephone good to stay away from him. Hestia has common sense, she’s a sensible and rational lady and she’s the only character that I still tolerate and hasn’t been affected by bad characterization that we see for every single fucking chapter. I adore her interactions with others and I genuinely feel like if the narrative wanted to make her some sort of antagonist or villain at least make her a cooler more threatening kind. I’m thinking live action Kaa from the Jungle Book Movie, we all know that Hestia is a very reserved and relaxed goddess so if you really did want to make her intimidating you could use that to your advantage. Like honestly, why did she have to be such a small role in a plot that took up three seasons?? It’s annoying and she deserved more screen time for my sanity.

Next I would like to talk about how fans treated her. I once answered an inbox that stated that some fans actually make disgusting comments about her weight and body type to insult her all because she took the damn coat from Persephone. It’s immature and incredible insensitive to go around saying stuff like that and it’s even harder to give stans the benefit of a doubt when they’re starting shit like this. I absolutely love how people try and defend themselves by saying it’s fictional while still going beyond the line just because you don’t like what this fictional character did. You should never insult someone’s body I don’t give a fuck how mad you are you don’t go around doing that because your favorite character got brought back to reality. It makes me sick I even have to say this, I genuinely feel like Rachel herself should actually call her fans out because this is a common theme for the fandom and I’m tired of seeing it. I don’t care about the whole “she’s a creator she’s not responsible for the ignorance of other people” statement when she has full fucking control over her fans and she’s obviously very active in the fandom. I’m not saying that she should just hound them like dogs whenever she can but I am saying that this is a big issue and since she is active in the community and she wants to be praised for all of this representation that she gives she shouldn’t be allowing people to openly insult fat characters as harshly as people do. It’s time to actually address it.

Speaking of representation, I absolutely hate how fat women in this fucking comic have little to no screen time at all. It’s so incredibly annoying since they always look so good, I can only count three women that we’ve seen in the entire LO series alone with Hestia’s body type and I hate how their beauty only gets seen once or twice every blue moon. Not all women have big boobs, perfect waist, and big butts and that’s okay. I would love to see more body diversity and I would absolutely love it if the few characters who represent different bodies be shown as more than villains. Hestia didn’t have to be an antagonist and we could’ve gotten more chapters of her and Persephone bonding, she could’ve been the one to show Persephone around and she could’ve been the one to explain to Persephone why Demeter is the way she is. She also could’ve been a strong figure in her support group or even a reminder of the mortal realm, hell she could’ve even been the cool auntie! Just anything except for this character that’s only there for you to hate.

Besides my nitpicks though I absolutely loved her wardrobe. She wears more clothes than Persephone is all I’ll say (I only say that because I genuinely feel like some of the things she wears is the same thing.. But that’s only because of all the white she wears all. the. time. It gets confusing as hell) and I really love how well they go with her personality and overall just how pretty she looks in them. Like honestly you’d think she got blessed twice with beauty by the way she just effortlessly outdoes everyone in the main cast, won’t even talk about Hera.

I also really love her personality, do I love that the comic wants us to believe she’s super strict and partially an ass kisser? No she deserves better than that. I love all of her facial expressions and the way that she delivers her lines, something about it makes me cackle and it’s only because I imagine it being put so bluntly and so straight forward. Like I get the feeling she has no chill when she says things and it makes me giggle every single time, I’ve always thought of her as a little portal to LO because in many ways I understand every single emotion she’s ever had especially towards Persephone and Hades. Stop acting like she’s crazy yall I’m begging you, to be frank with you I feel like she’s the only one that does genuinely care about Persephone because I just see her being a caring person. I don’t think that she’s evil or strict or any of that, I believe that just like Demeter she wants to see Persephone being free and happy and obviously something about Hades (we all know why) isn’t giving her the idea that she will be free and happy.

Again going back to her original character design, it was peak character everything. The colors were so pretty and it really did match her nicely, I will forever be sad that I’ll never see more content of her but hey at least they did her a decent job on the recent episodes. Despite the whole Persephone and Demeter conversation she looked absolutely stunning and I was just so focused on her for the most part.

Anyways, that’s all I’ve got to say for her now but the praise will not stop just at this post. I really do hope that Hestia will continue to live her life peacefully and completely cut Persephone out because she genuinely gets on my nerves and I have a feeling that the feeling is mutual for Hestia.

HHonestly I dont have a lot of ninjago takes that arent character design related.

But i've got to say, Prime Empire was not a jay season. No matter what anyone says I'll never see it as one. It had no character growth for jay it just rehashed skybound but awfully. We've all see trapped in video game atoriea but never trapped it a pirate sword. it was nes and scary for jay and us. Nothing abput prime empire scared jay evwn in the end. Not truly at least. Prime Empire is not a Jay season even with that dumb speech at the end. Which has its own levels of crazy but I digress...

Ok I’m gonna try and judge this fairly because Prime Empire is my FAVORITE season, so if my verdict seems unfair, y’all please tell me.

Prime Empire definitely didn’t feel like a Jay season. I mean, hell. He wasn’t even in most of the first act! But like, if not him, then who was that season about? I really don’t feel like anyone got growth in that season, except for like, some of the NPCs but a lot of those guys were in maybe 2 episodes at most and they wouldn’t make a focus season for background characters (pause, sorry, background character focus season would probably be sick as fuck, but back to the post)

I honestly don’t see the Skybound similarities except for maybe Jay having to watch all of his friends get picked off one by one and end up alone to save the day at the end. And to your point ‘we’ve all seen trapped in a video game before…it was new and scary for Jay and us’ I have to disagree with that. Yes. Us as real, living breathing people has seen the trapped in a video game trope. It’s nothing new. But Jay as a fake character with no access to I guess the real world, has probably never seen that so it would still be new and scary for him. All in all, I think your opinion is fair. Yeah, you aren’t going to like every season of a show, don’t even mention Hands Of Time to me I’ll fly into a blind rage and break shit (/j), but I think you saying it’s just like Skybound is a little unfair.

Some images to go with the RVB-DigiMon nonsense I’ve been wasting my time with! These are the basic forms for the partners of each character (except for Sheila and Lopez, who themselves are DigiMon). For those in the know, DigiMon has always been BONKERS with how the creatures work, so I just kinda did my own thing with their Digivolve-lines. I also made another post once, about what kind of Crest each character would have, so I’ll add that here too~

Church; BakeMon-WizardMon-PhantomMon-CherubiMon (haha, he gets a bunch of ghosts/spooky/angel DigiMon because of the running gag of him dying… but also, the CherubiMon will switch between the Virus/Vaccine type depending on how many negative emotions Church is getting weighed-down with, so he’s gotta watch out for that). Crest of Love (it didn’t even show up for a LONG time because somebody doesn’t like to show his feelings)

Tucker; VeeMon-ExVeeMon-MagnaMon-ImperialdraMon *Paladin (he gets to have Golden Armor forms and the White Knight Fsuion form all by himself because he’s special). Crest of Reliability (he was SURE he’d get Love or maybe Courage because it sounds cool, and then Reliability made him feel insecure, but he really lives up to it)

Caboose; KoteMon-StrikedraMon-MetalTyrannoMon-MachinedraMon (he gets the big mech DigiMon to be similar to Freckles. also, Caboose will often befriend various enemy DigiMon, and they turn good. he’s just like that). Crest of Friendship (what else COULD the boy have?)

Kai; FlutterMon-KazeMon-ZephyrMon-IrisMon (if anybody appreciates the… interesting outfits designs of DigiMon, it is definitely Kai. I made FlutterMon up as a kid, to be like a cute pixie-Rookie for KazeMon). Crest of Love (it is easy for her to share affection and ask for it herself, and it is honestly frustrating that everybody else isn’t as comfortable with their Crest as she is… get it together, y’all)

Sheila; KokuwaMon-MekanoriMon-DataMon-MetalKabuteriMon (I’m calling MetalKabuteriMon a Mega here, because I like the giant tank-bug and think it works for Sheila)

Sarge; GuilMon-GrowlMon-MetalGrowlMon-GallantMon *Crimson (he has the reddest Digimon, but when he lets his anger get out of control, the final form becomes MegidraMon for a while. Eventually, he calms down just ENOUGH to stop being a jerk, thus getting GallantMon. naturally, Crimson Mode). Crest of Courage (it is almost a little too perfect, which is why he’s gotta learn how to combine compassion to make Courage truly effective)

Simmons; BetaMon-SeadraMon-WaruSeadraMon-MetalSeadraMon ( he gets the sea creatures that are similar to snakes. haha, I give him and Grif the ones that remind them of their fears… but obviously, that makes the friendship even stronger when they eventually care about their DigiMon~ also, he and Grif match with air/sea themes). Crest of Knowledge (oh he was very proud of himself for getting this, but the whole point is it doesn’t work if you only use the knowledge to be smug all the time)

Grif; PataMon-PipisMon-MaildraMon-JustiMon (he gets a PataMon, which initially freaks him out because it is basically a hamster with BAT WINGS on the head. He finally bonds with the little goober, and rather than go with the angel theme, it keeps the bat qualities. the JustiMon is a new form with wings and the Critical Arm weapon, to kinda be like the Grifshot). Crest of Hope (when you’ve spent years acting like you don’t give a heck, Hope seems like a LOT of effort)

Donut; LalaMon-PeonyMon-LilyMon-NobleRoseMon (PeonyMon was one I made up as a kid, kind of just a pink SunfloMon, and NobleRoseMon was also a made up one from my childhood, meant to be a slightly more masculine version of RoseMon Burst Mode, but still the exact same outfit). Crest of Light (yes, because he is that important~)

Lopez; Digimon; HaguruMon-GaurdroMon-AndroMon-HiAndroMon (he and Sheila are both like guardian DigiMon, there to protect the other characters until their partners get stronger. however, they can’t Digivolve at first... it takes everybody combining the energy of their Digivices together for the guardian DigiMon to gain new forms)

Tex; ImpMon-DarkGargoyleMon-DevidraMon-BeelzeMon (she gets the cool biker demon Digimon with a huge cannon, heck yeah. also I made DarkGargoyleMon up as a kid, because I wanted a good Champion for ImpMon… basically just GargoyleMon but with ImpMon’s color-scheme). Crest of Courage (perhaps an obvious choice… but when somebody has to learn to be brave enough to ask for help, it can be a big step)

Wash; BlackGatoMon-DarkLeoMon-LoweeMon-AncientSphinxMon (calling BlackGatoMon a Rookie here. Wash has a bit of the deal Koichi had going on in Frontier; kind of an antagonist for a bit, but ultimately joins the group as a good guy). Crest of Kindness (initially he thought this made him sound like a wimp, and later he thought he’d been too much of a jerk to deserve it… but it DOES suit him)

Carolina; RenaMon-KyubiMon-TaoMon-SakuyaMon (the kick-butt magical fox warriors just really fit for her, and I feel like she would actually share that quiet punk-kid vibe with Rika, plus the whole “I’m the BEST” attitude before she softens up). Crest of Hope (she was a very determined person… who also often felt like she had nothing to look forward too, so Hope is something she digs deep for)

Doc; LopMon-RabbitMon-AntylaMon-CynthiaMon, TerrierMon-GargoMon-RapidMon-DuskRapidMon ( he gets the twin bunnies (for a while he doesn’t understand why just his LopMon Digivolves, but eventually realizes it is because he isn’t paying attention to O’Malley. this leads to some angst, O’Malley having his jerk moment of betrayal like some of the DigiDestined tend to do from time to time, but eventually they both learn to help each other, and the whole group makes sure to be closer to them both. CynthiaMon is a variation of DianaMon I made up, to go with the Rabbit in the Moon vibe, DuskRapidMon is another one I made up, an alternate option to MegaGargoMon, combining RapidMon with designs from DuskMon, so it’s all dark and cool). Crest of Kindness AND Knowledge (the tricky part is, Doc and O’Malley have to figure out what both Crests mean for them so it actually works)

I hate this episode but I had fun for the first 3/4 of it so I’m giving it a 6/10 overall it would’ve been much higher if Din didn’t give Bo Katan the fucking Darksaber

The worst part is that him desperately and easily giving away any semblance of power to Bo Katan fits his character it fits his character so well but that’s not how the last two seasons and TBoBF set up his arc and that’s why I’m so mad about it and hope it’s a misdirection

If it’s not a misdirection I honestly can’t say that I’ll come back for s4. I love this show and I love the characters but I would much rather live a life of pretending the fan fictions are canon than watch the show dig itself into a hole it can’t escape and ruin all the characters I love

And I don’t hate Bo Katan I like her and I like that they’re setting up her and Din not getting along very well anymore that’s good but i don’t think the way they’re treating her should be so prevalent considering the other things she’s in, she can have this arc in a different show or hell even her own show it doesn’t have to be in Mando

I’m gonna stick around until the season finishes but if it doesn’t get any better I’m not gonna come back for season 4 unless Tumblr says it’s absolutely amazing or some shit I just can’t take this disappointment anymore

Final comment: good episode when you ignore the ending, the ending was shit. Jack Black was the peak of the episode, but Grogu and Din (especially with the Darksaber!!) were also great and I am very much ignoring the end of the episode it’s not real if I don’t look at it

What is ivory academy?

Will you be continuing the Under grade central and the thermo nuclear (I hope I said it right 😅) comic or story?

Ivory Academy is a mash of fairytale meets modern day. Basically it follows Lust, Outer and Blue who all live in the modern world when magic is nulled and they get accepted into Ivory Academy, a school for the magically inclined. There they meet Dream, who is the student body president of the school. Hijinks ensue, drama happens.

There’s a lot of super deep lore, twist, drama and lots of my ocs are in it. Honestly I’d love to get into the deep lore, cus it’s My favorite part of the whole thing.

A lot of the old stuff I made like the tarot cards and character designs from early last year all involved Ivory. And anything related to Raspberry Red Hood.

I do actually have the first chapter of it written I just never posted it. Tho I will if y’all want me to.

As for Under Grand Central, honestly it was just a test for lighting and stylization that I didn’t think anyone would really care about. But considering the subject matter that it was going to touch on, which are things that I struggle with and am working through, I would like to continue it. I really like the story and I have some of the characters fleshed out too. I just need to make time for it.

As for Thermonuclear, I’m currently writing the third chapter, and for right now mostly just stills will come out. I’m still moving and adjusting to things so I’m quite a bit behind. But it will get there.

I guess the good thing about Technoid and Thermonuclear is they both have endings. So that makes it easier.

Took me a day but I did it!

When and what was your first exposure to Elvis Presley? I was in grade school when some kid dressed up as Elvis and performed an Elvis song for the school talent show. He even threw his scarf to the teachers and they cheered and had a good time. And then overtime I learnt that he was this popular singer who died young, wore snazzy jumpsuits, and spoke with a deep southern accent. I didn’t really start learning more about him until the Elvis movie came out and I all of a sudden became interested in him.

And what was your first impression? I feel like I kinda turned my nose up at him cause it was “older music.” Then I actually listened to older music and I grew more of an appreciation for him.

Lace shirts or jumpsuits? From a costume design perspective, jumpsuits. From a perspective of which makes Austin or Elvis look more attractive? Lace shirts easily.

You can steal one of Elvis/Austin’s outfits, what’s it going to be? I feel like I could pull off that blue lace shirt he wears during the Blue Swede Shoes montage.

C’mon, we know you’ve been watching/reading old interviews and random footage of the man, so what’s your favorite random Elvis quote? This isn’t so much random but it just confused and creeped me out. I know we all get mad at the Elvis/Priscilla age gap, but he really sent it home when you read Priscilla’s memoir. He refers to her as “little one” which as a resident short and young person, just creeps me out.

Did you find Austin Butler’s lips distracting despite them being in a movie about the King of plush upper lips? (Be honest now) Of fucking course I did. Who do y’all think I am?

What’s an aspect of Elvis’s character you wish people appreciated more? Honestly, his influence on music. He’s the king or rock and roll for a reason. As a fan of old school rock music, we probably would not have a lot of the rock sound as we know it without him. He did bring the sound of popular black music into the mainstream and that along with the way he moved and dressed on stage (makeup and flashy outfits) really influenced the genre. I could easily be wrong about this (please don’t come for me) but this is kinda how I see it.

You meet Col. Tom Parker for the first time, forewarned with the knowledge of what a scumbag he is, what do you do?: A. nothing, you’re a coward who doesn’t care about abused golden-hearted men B. you give the Colonel a stern telling off C. you encourage Elvis to leave him and break the contract E. you slap a legal document against that fat suit and declare “Mrs. Claus is bringing you a lawsuit” F. you waste no time with formalities, it’s a letter opener to the juggler for that piece of trash Either C or E(D?) I don’t think it warrants an explanation, it speaks for itself.

What was your favorite aspect/scene from the Elvis 2022 movie? Holy shit if I were to talk about that we’d be here all day but here’s the cliff notes. I love this film’s production design and overall feel. Whenever I put it on, I swear it melts my pain away. Almost as if I was on drugs. Favourite part is probably cliched but fuck it. It’s Trouble because of fucking course it is. He looks like Gerard Way and him thrusting combined with the songs updated instrumentation does soooo many things to me.

You can choose only one song or piece of media to convince someone to become an Elvis fan, what is it going to be? Does the 2022 movie count? If so, that. How did you react at the end of the movie when In the Ghetto started to play A. I got up and fixed a snack because I have no soul, B. I left feeling alarmingly horny, C. I was impressed but didn’t realize how affected I was until days later when it was still with me D. I cried buckets they had to bring in a mop E. I may have appeared emotionless but in fact my soul was leaving my body and I don’t think it’s returned quite yet C and E. I began to feel more emotion on rewatches after listening to his music and learning more about him.

With that being said, it’s not a huge update, but it’s not a tiny one either, with some new cool gameplay features, more characters, and additions requested by the community.

Sharing a screenshot shot/game mode when you finish a round lets you invite your friends to play the same model on the same map, and challenge them to match or beat your time. The Serious Sam 4 update 1.06 is finally with us, and it lays the foundation for 1.07 due before Christmas. This allows players to create a state of the game when they finish a round of Survival Game Mode on any of the three available maps. Today in Serious Sam 4, a new update adds State Share support. Other players can jump into the capture to play on the same mode and map. In Sirius Sem 4, this feature makes players eligible to share whenever they complete a round of “Survival” mode.

Why’d y’all sleep on this?)īut for Serious Sam 4 to come out on the PS5 near the end of 2021 is just baffling. It also had Neil Patrick Harris as the main villain. Thank you A small change relating to weapon keybinds that I, and I know others, would like, at least as an option: In past games, pressing a button to equip a weapon would equip the higher-tier weapon in that slot, and pressing it twice would equip the lower-tier one (Example: Pressing 3 equips the double barrel shotgun, pressing it again equips the pump shotgun). (For real though, it was a satire of everything in the gaming universe from JRPG characters overusing ellipsis and forced plot twists. The Serious Sam series is a bizarre thing to me and honestly, one I would have never thought in a million years would still be around for a 4th game - especially after the weirdly well-written Matt Hazard ended up flopping. When I had the good fortune of meeting the great John A Russo (of Night of the Living Dead fame, among other credits) we had a long talk about writing.

I was about 15, and honestly forgot much of what was said on that crowded convention center floor, but one statement has never left me, not ever. He said: “Never put all your eggs in one basket.”

The key to success, in his experience was to always have a few different projects going at once. When you are spinning your wheels with one, switch into another.

This is an incredibly long winded way of saying I am not Just A Writer. I am also the prolific maker of plushies. I’ve hidden this away for many years now. I felt it was too childish and not important enough to be taken seriously or admired.

I now see that these little friends I make are a way of pleasing my inner child. When I was little, I made instead of playing, making up little characters as my little friend took shape.

These are an extension of that. An expression of the joy I do often sought but didn’t always find in the world.

Y’all might see a frog, but I see a spot of sun in a world that is too often drab, grey, and hopeless.

So, here is one of my many “children”. Slushy Puddles the freckle frog. He’s an aspiring competitive twitch streamer, but he’s finding it difficult to compete without thumbs. He’s learning to take it slow, and enjoy what casual games have to offer.

BATIM REWRITE

Y’all may have heard about the controversy surrounding The Kindly Beast, and the BATIM franchise as a whole. I feel kinda betrayed by what happened, and so decided to completely rewrite the game. This is going to be a YouTube video down the line, and I’m looking forward to working on it! Have some concept art!

Also, I realized that my Henry design is kinda based on @doberart’s Henry, so shoutout to her. Honestly, best Henry out there lol. I guess this is me asking permission to carry over a lot of what she’s doing for the rewrite.

More info, concepts, and a sort of preview(?) below the cut!

The video I'm working on is going to be based a lot on The Closer Look's Star Wars deep dive, where he talks about why the latest 3 movies didn't work and then rewrites them. In my video, I'll be taking a similar approach, breaking down the game in what worked and what didn't. Then, the last bit will be a sort of dramatic outline for a finished game.

I won't say much here yet (save that for the video), but some highlights will include:

More encounters with Bendy

Playing with the concept of people being "toons"

More of the cult (and Sammy)

Restructuring the game to fit a "pattern" (I'll explain later)

Giving everyone more character and interactions

There were a lot of concepts in BATIM that were introduced and dropped in the same chapter, as well as things that seemed like foreshadowing and weren't, and things that just went unexplored. I want to explore those things more thoroughly.

I will be trying to actively carry over characters, concepts, and locations, while scrapping and adding others as would fit the story.

For example, to keep with the "pattern" I'm establishing, a new character will be introduced that is a director for the cartoons, someone who works just under Joey creatively. And he's not happy. He's met other characters, has rivalries with some and alliances with others, and the same can be said for pre-existing characters.

As for the pattern, it's going to follow the creative process (like Chapters 1 and 2 kinda already do!). Chapter 1 is Moving Pictures- about concept art and storyboarding. Chapter 2 is New Direction, focused on the directing/financing/producing aspect. Chapter 3 is The Old Song- a lot is the same, but there's a lot different too. Chapter 4 is The Illusion of Living- a reference to the book, and the actual animation aspect! Chapter 5 is The Last Reel, and focuses on distribution/fan reception.

All characters will be introduced by at LEAST Chapter 3, if not physically then through audio logs and other characters talking about them.

It's not just the Alices that can talk.

The Butcher Gang are more important.

Bendy himself is pretty much getting a makeover. I can't explain why or what that'll look like, but trust me, I think I got a cool idea. And, it's inspired by one the community has touched on and enjoyed in the past, too, though not entirely the same. He's more mischievous, more active, smarter, and... well, that's a spoiler.

Henry himself is getting an arc. He's not a silent protag, as much as the game likes to pretend that he is. He has thoughts and opinions, and is a major player since he created Bendy. So, it's only fitting that he has his own story to tell and choices to make (as any good protag should always make a choice).

I'll shut up now before I start actually giving away the changes themselves ghjfds.
