– GARRET GOYLE – You don’t know what made you so attracted to the sadistic host that featured Slaughter Time. Maybe you were just caught up in the excitement of the show or the fact that seeing grunts getting killed on LIVE TV was enough to spur your interest in the entertainment industry that Nevada offered. Moreso, your interest in the host. Garret Goyle, to whom you were enthralled with at one point in time, was a charismatic and flamboyant host for the show that lots of grunts enjoyed to watch. How you managed to meet was a mystery, as you were pretty much entered onto the show without your consent and were forced to compete in battles to the death. Though, you managed to catch the hosts’ eye when your strings rip and tear through any adversary that dared to stand in your way. Providing an abundance of entertaining kills and waves of bloodlust to the watchers and giving Goyle his highest ratings ever recorded. You should’ve known that some grunts were capable of being incredibly opportunistic, Goyle was no different. He smooth-talked his way into your good graces. His compliments like butter and his grinning mask providing a false sense of friendliness on the outside…and you took it like bait on a hook. Goyle got you in deep and for a while…you were enthralled with his charm and practically at his mercy. You entertained the masses to his whim. Like some trained circus animal, you killed, you dazzled, and every time you put on a great slaughtering performance, the crowd would cheer and Goyle would always compliment you on your ‘job’. Despite you having the strings, Goyle was pulling you along like a naive fool. His vernacular twisting his meanings and softening your heart…and he tore and bit at everything else. The money you earned? He pinched most of it. The fans you had? He would take the spotlight for himself. The powers you wielded? He used to make his show as grand as it could’ve ever been. He used you for everything…and you let him. The moment of your enlightening to the deceit was when you became pregnant. You were so happy at the time that you began to rush to his office to tell Goyle the news. But, you overheard something that pretty much broke your illusion and gave your tender heart a deep scar. He was talking over the phone to an unknown individual, talking about how long he had to keep the “act” up…and from around the corner of the entrance, you stand there and listen to him talk about how annoying it was to keep up a facade about loving you and how he only keeps it up because it keeps his ‘primary entertainer’ around. Your heart fell into your gut like a heavy stone, making you step back and quietly stare at the entrance to his office in a heartbroken manner as you place your arms around your abdomen. You let…that horrible GO3LM touch you and ‘love’ you for so long…but it was all merely a ruse to keep you entertaining the masses and needlessly slaughtering victims on live TV. You felt tears sting your eyes as you hurriedly turn away and sneak away from the office. A few days pass and you begrudgingly keep up your ‘annoying act’ of loving Goyle, before one night, you had an epiphany and decided to sneak away into the night. Taking your belongings and quickly abandoning Goyle. Departing from the place you’ve called home for so long hurt…but you no longer wanted to be someone’s puppet. So…you headed out into the night and you disappeared. It took no time at all until the missing posters went up, all featuring your face and the information on who to contact and “if found please return to Goyle”...like you were some lost piece of property. You ripped up the poster you had investigated in an agitated manner before heading off once more. You solidified your decision and continued your plans to move away from Nexus City, as this place was merely too ‘active with mortals’ for your tastes. Thankfully, you were a god-like being and most abilities in the coded world were at your fingertips. First and foremost, you made yourself transparent by toggling your invisibility setting. Which meant that you could walk out in the open and nobody could see you…just how you liked it. Almost as if you were a ghost, you phased through anyone that crossed your path as you began to make your way outside of the gates. You noclip through the gates and continue for a ways before glancing back one last time to the city you used to call home before heading out into the wilds of Nevada. It was a few months later and you were well into your midterms by then. Fortunately, your godly abilities allowed you to craft a new place to call home from the literal ground up. You now have a secluded castle all to yourself as you stare outside at the barren wasteland that surrounds the cliffside you called home. Well…you weren’t totally alone. You found some lost wanders a few months back after you finished construction on the new home and allowed them to become servants in return for a safe haven…but it doesn’t mean that you trust them entirely. You don’t trust like you used to…thanks to Goyle. But having a pair of hands to help you deliver your little one would be beneficial. Especially since you were slowly coming close to your due date. Once the day actually arrived, your new servants assisted you in the delivery of your child and you were gifted with a healthy young demi-god. Who had the most beautiful heart-touching smile that could’ve ever been gifted to a mortal…despite the origins of that smile.

Your servants were glad to step in and assist in raising your youngling, with one particular grunt you've given the honor of calling a ‘friend’...but nothing more than that. So now you had your child and your little kingdom in the wilds…and you were currently content with your existence. Even now, with your adorable child scooting across the floor in front of you, you watch TV and flip through the channels, landing on a painfully familiar one. Slaughter time. It was still going on and you couldn’t help but grit your teeth and glare at the image of the host that appeared. Him. Goyle. You wasted no time in turning the TV off as you can feel your anger rise…but slowly ebb away as your child looks at you curiously from the floor. You merely let out a tired sigh and pick the little one up before placing them into your arms with such a tender gentle maneuver. Despite being half of…him, you still loved your child and you would NEVER go back to being that lying bastard's little money lackey. You left and you took the kid and that’s that. You were never going to fall for someone that hard again… And you were done with Goyle and Slaughter Time to last an eternity. – BURGER GIL – It was almost romantic how you two met. You just happened to hear about this delicious local burger joint called ‘Burger Gil’s’ and you decided to try it out one day. Imagine the local populace’s surprise when the local celebrity god walks into Burger Gil’s to try some of the food. That’s when you met him, Gil himself. He was quite flattered to find a god interested in trying his grub, so he allowed you to place your order ahead of the other grunts. Who didn’t complain, as most were pretty much enthralled from being able to actually meet you face-to-face. You ordered and Gil provided. It was surprisingly delicious and despite Gil’s gruff demeanor and rude-sounding buttons, he was very polite to you and was even…arguably gentlemanly. You sat at the bar and ate your burger, happily talking to Gil from time to time as you peacefully ate your food. You nearly choked when Gil even called out one particular grunt that was staring you down from their place in line. “I know they look like a snack…but they’re not on the menu. So come get yer slop, ya pig.” Gil firmly stated, making you laugh out loud in response and the grunt that was staring looked away in embarrassment before they took their food and hurried away to another part of the restaurant. Which was the event that got you both talking regularly…and pretty soon, you two began to date. One thing led to another and one day, you woke up with morning sickness one fateful dawn and stirred Gil awake who grew worried and took you to the clinic.

One short test later and Gil and yourself were given the news that you were now pregnant. It was a surprise to your rough-around-the-edges lover, but one he accepted whole-heartedly as he nuzzled you and gave your face a sprinkle of loving kisses in response to the news. Your pregnancy couldn’t have gone any smoother. As Gil was pretty much focused on cooking better and more ‘healthier’ meals for you, by the orders of the doctor that performed your pregnancy check results, and you both already live in the upstairs area that made up the burger joint. You just needed to make accommodations fit for a little one. Gil wasn’t as stressed as you’d thought he would be, or maybe he was just good at hiding his emotions, but life continued as normal. Well…about as normal as two celebrities can live. On the bright side, you now work and help in the business and get to meet so many lovely, and sometimes unpleasant, grunts. Two of which were Sanford and Deimos. While both were eccentric, they seemed to enjoy eating here a lot and you enjoyed talking to them and going on about what has been going on in your lives. Life continued and pretty soon, your little one due date was closing in… But then…it happened. The zed outbreak. The news spread fast of a growing zombie-like hoard that was eating grunts and were starting to infest and arrive in your sector of Nexus City. Both you and Gil tried your very best to keep up the facade of everything being okay, but then the zeds began to appear. First a few…then a dozen…and pretty soon the street was covered with them. You look between Gil and the boards that were barely holding back the hoard of zeds as you two were pretty much trapped like rats inside of the building. You, heavily pregnant and out of energy, and Gil who was tired and exhausted from beating back as many zeds as he could. He takes a look at the fracturing boards before taking a deep breath and setting a large hand on your shoulder, giving you a firm and stoic look. “Babe, listen to me. I need ya to get the hell outta here.” “Get ME out of here?? But Gil! I can teleport us all out! We can–” “You know you’re not strong enough to teleport us all, babe…between my large heavy ass and your little bundle…you can’t. I can see it clear as night…you’re too exhausted to teleport us all.” “I….I…I know…but Gil! Please…!” “Look…I need you to teleport you both out of here. Take yourself to the outerlands and go find Deimos and Sanford. Me and those bastards go way back…they’ll help ya and take care of ya…can you promise me that’ll you’ll do that, sweetheart?” You couldn’t stop the tears that leaked from your eyes as you reluctantly nod in response to Gil’s plea. The G03LM leans down to your height and gives you the sweetest and most gentlest kiss he could ever give you, staying like that for a bit as you hold onto him for as long as you could…then he pulls away. “Gil…I love you so much…I’ll find the cause of this outbreak…and whoever is responsible for it…they’ll feel my wrath…I promise.” “I know, sweetheart. I love you too…I always have and I always will.” The tears freely pour from your eyes as the boards around the entrance give away, allowing the zeds to come pouring into the building just as you finish punching in the coordinates to the outside of the walls of Nexus City. Watching as Gil stands bravely between you and the advancing zeds as you finish punching in the command…and the scene of the hoard surrounding Gil and Gil attacking them with valor vanish in a bright sparkle of light. You collapse to your knees as your energy depletes and you let out a pained cry towards the night sky, fully knowing what was currently becoming of your darling G03LM lover. Time has passed since you lost Gil to the outbreak and you were now an ally of SQ, which Deimos and Sanford had invited you to join after hearing what happened to you and discovering what became of Gil. Both understood your pain as you struggled to cope without your lover by your side, the sweetest kiss he gave you before defending you to the bitter end still fresh on your mind. But now, you had a little bundle in your arms…and the last fragment of what used to be your happy life and your beloved lover. They had various similarities to their father, with their size being one of them. The second thing was their smile…it reminded you of a gruff G03LM that ensnared your heart and made you feel so loved once upon a time. Then, the news came to you from Sanford and Deimos when they had to go to a familiar part of Nexus City and into a very familiar place…they found Gil…but as a zed. You listen to them as they tell you that they gave him a mercy kill…putting him out of his undead misery as the two continued on with their assigned mission. Even now, the memories still make you weep…but you can’t look to the past anymore. Gil was officially gone and your little one was still counting on you. Now, your beliefs stay aligned with SQ through and through. The desire for revenge is still burning brightly in your heart. Once you find out who was behind the creations of the Zeds, you will tear them asunder to avenge your fallen lover. You promised him after all…and intend on keeping that promise. – SKINNER –

You were absolutely smitten with the friendly doctor that was set up in the new SQ headquarters that you and V2 made from the ground up. You never really expected to get attached to such a random character that Bossman found…but Skinner was just…uniquely different. He was friendly…charming…and his mannerisms were so strange…but alluring. Which led to you spending your downtime with the medical doctor, much to the rest of SQ’s interest. You were pretty much a natural celebrity. Everyone in SQ has heard of your god-like feats and how you and V2 were nigh unbeatable. But seeing you hanging out regularly with the doctor was spreading rumors about you two becoming a ‘thing’ around the building. You paid them no mind as you and Skinner spent time together for the umpteenth time that day. Regardless of what you spent your time doing, sipping tea, doing paperwork, or merely enjoying a sweet chat…you find yourself slowly falling heads over heels for the medic. Then, you two decided to try dating and found that dating was fun…if not completely intimate as you two would ‘go missing’ for hours on end during your dates. One time, V2 was looking for you for nearly a whole day and the SQ building nearly went into panic mode until you came strolling back with your hand entwined with Skinner’s, announcing that Skinner and you were now a thing. Which made Bossman loudly cheer as he claimed that Chopper Dave owed him 10 bucks. Some thought that’s where your relationship would end…but then you two started to get more intimate. Soon enough, the one thing that surprised everyone was when Skinner just casually walked in one day and commented out loud about how you were pregnant to nearly everyone in the cafeteria. Making a variety of grunts react by spitting their drinks and V2 nearly had a stroke. You merely blushed in deep embarrassment as Skinner affectionately nuzzles you in response to the uproar that got stirred up from his comment. You were pretty much doted on during your first trimester. The SQ building was already filled with empty rooms, which provided the perfect place to set up a baby room. Skinner helped out whenever he could and when he wasn’t busy with reviving dead hirelings or doctoring the injured. You merely accepted that fact and worked with V2 to make some money for purchases, in which Bossman was ‘obliged to sell you some materials for a fee’. So, most of the first trimester was used to purchase materials, items, and make money so that SQ would grow strong enough to protect your little one and wealthy enough to provide a reasonable living for your new family. With the money you made, you bought more equipment, hired more people, and upgraded the building. Pretty soon, the base was strongly enforced and there was a large staff of people operating the inner workings of the base. Which brought you comfort. You even managed to purchase better furnishing for your room that you were going to share with Skinner, such as a large bed for you both to share. Throughout the entirety of your midterm, you relaxed and spent your extra time with V2 to make up for all of the spending you had put on you and Skinner for your young one. You heard their grievances about you spending your shared money on things, so you decided to upgrade their room. They were your strongest vessel, so you figured that you would treat them well as an apology for focusing on your relationship with Skinner and the eventual arrival of your new little one. The hustle and bustle of the SQ was enough to make the place feel…surprisingly homey, as you and Skinner go on little dates here and there with him always saying ‘Toodles~!’ to you when he had to go back to work. Which you absolutely adored about him as he sashayed his way back towards the medbay. You get a couple of funny looks from the rest of the staff but merely giggle and shake your head at them in response. Thankfully, your pregnancy was going great with the due date now just around the corner. The best thing about dating and being the chosen lover of the medic was that you could go into the medbay at any time and get yourself checked out. Skinner is now becoming very interested in your health and well being as the birth date comes closer and closer. Even the rest of SQ, even V2, were getting excited about meeting the new godling as bets and rumors about what the kid would look like passed around the facility like free candy. Some argued that the kid would have Skinner’s jaws, another said they would have his pure white skin, some even said that the kid would look like you. All the talk and attention made you flustered from time to time, eventually you just decided to spend most of your time in your shared bedroom. Watching TV as your little one grew ever more restless. Then, the big day arrives. V2 pretty much wakes up the entire facility as he carries your grunting and pained form down to the medbay after hearing your pained cries coming from your shared room. Skinner was working late that night and the appearance of V2 holding his player was enough to entice action.

Skinner hurries to get to work and get all of his utensils together as V2 places you upon the stretcher, stepping back and seeing if Skinner would need any assistance in delivering his own child. To which the doctor merely clicks his teeth and snaps on a pair of gloves, getting ready to get to work. The night was long and both Skinner and V2 did as much work as possible to help you deliver, with Skinner finally finishing the process and starting to clean up the little G03LM. You could only pant in exhaustion as Skinner takes care of the little one and bundles them up, watching as V2 looks on in the background and congratulates you both. Finally, Skinner takes a moment after everything has settled down to finally realize that…they were here. His little one. His child. With a much more gentler and curious gaze, the medic pulls the blanket back to get a much more clearer look at his little one. Revealing the sparkling white skin of the youngling and their smiling face as they nuzzle into the blankets for warmth. Skinner feels his heart melt at the sight of the newborn and he couldn’t help but bump his face against the baby affectionately. Causing the little one to let out a sound that was almost akin to a ‘mrrp’ as they wake up from their slumber to stare at their father. The medic holds the child close as he nuzzles them lovingly, purring loudly. The child mimics his motions as they nuzzle him back and let out a series of little purrs of their own. The sight was enough to melt the hearts of V2 and yourself as the doctor welcomes the new life into the world of Nevada in his own uniquely-gruntish way. You can only smile brightly as the doctor looks at you and walks over, showing your beautiful little one to you as the baby looks at you with your colored eyes. “Look~! They have your eyes~” Skinner grins as he cuddles closer to you, keeping your little wiggly bundle between you both as you couldn’t help but smile as the little one caresses your face curiously with their small little hands. “Yes…and they have your curiosity…” You laugh in response. As a father, Skinner is a kind and patient parent with a steady hand. It’s in his coding to be polite and the child is only mildly different from their father, with both being naturally kind and courteous to everyone at SQ. Your child loves their father and you equally, not complaining or favoring one over the other. Skinner is proud to teach them the ins and outs of someone's insides, despite your numerous protests, but the child enjoys it regardless. Skinner is the perfect fatherly G03LM for you and your little one as the little one begins to grow aspirations to be like their father one day, much to Skinner’s pride and enjoyment.

HI SANTA!! Thank you for that, by the way, I will now have that song stuck in my head through the end of the year at a minimum.

I like to stay close to canon compliant, but it could be pre, during, or post! Honestly as long as they're together and happy.

I did want to add that I will enjoy smut, but I truly want these boyos to be in L.O.V.E. = LOVE. I'm such a sucker for a good story behind any smutty bits that may be included. Smut not required, story preferred. (BUT smut not discouraged AT ALL, I just prefer it to be a part of the bigger story. Set the stage, ya know?)

So excited to hear about Nesta!!! If and only if it works with your story I'd love to see the bat boys in there for 2 reasons:

I had to think about hard limits for a while because I don't have many, if you've delved into my AO3 bookmarks at all you'll see QUITE A RANGE LEMME TELL YOU. I'm typically not a fan of anything that straight up bashes characters, I truly see them all with faults, strengths, and weaknesses. As long as things/opinions are explained within a fic, I'm good with most of it. There are no individual characters I avoid or dislike. I'm not a fan of elriel (I'm mentioning this because it's one of the only things I typically scroll past but not sure it's at all applicable here?) If you're specifically asking about kink ranges, lemme know cuz they're WIDE AND VARIED. If there's anal there must be lubrication of some kind, that's a hard line for me.

As for my favorite color, I've got a lot of teal things, but I'm starting to tend more towards deeper, darker blue-greens and lots of forest greens.

Comfort movie? Oh gods...this question...I'm not sure that I have one. I literally had to go look at my streaming services because I haven't watched many movies recently. I also tend to rewatch TV shows more than movies d/t time constraints. I'm also such a mood watcher/reader/listener that this answer literally changes hourly. I'm a huge fan of Disney's Peter Pan (see: my Azris Peter Pan AU), Beauty and the Beast (OG animation), and Hercules. I don't think I could watch The Prince of Egypt enough in one lifetime. Anastasia is another favorite. I enjoy The Proposal a lot too. White Christmas is my favorite Christmas movie. I'm a huge sucker for movies like "Rush" that are retellings of actual events (and a big F1 fan).

Pride and Prejudice and The Holiday are both great movies that I really enjoy, but haven't watched in a while!!

Shuri is a bright and briliant woman. Her humor is witty and she love to tease people.

She is a great leader and will continue to grow and become an even better protector and inventor of Wakanda.

So eventhough i love to ship her, i would die to see more of her own journey

I can image her life after wakanda forever 2

- she'll be staying at Nakia's house, healing for a while (i'm not sure how much since everyone heals differently) playing with Toussaint, helping Nakia with the school,...

- she'll start training with Okoye or/and Nakia and eventhough it's tiring but she'll find it quite stress relieving.

- she'll still be working in her lab and start teaching more. So that when she's gone, others can continue her legacy.

- she'll sometime visit Riri in her uni and check if there's other talented young people that she could potentially recuit before the CIA can take a hold of them.

- she'll sometime join in if there's any big decision from the council

- she'll help the Talokanil to upgrade their defense system and in exchange there will be trading lines made between the 2 nation

- she'll take inspiration from Wakanda, Talokan and Haiti for new inventions and plans for her own country and Talokan

- she'll oneday fight along side other heros when crazy shit happen (like someone about to create the multiverse war)

- she'll be one badass aunti/hero/princess/the love of my life

They don't recomend getting close with the Desmond, their political party and seems a bit concered when Yor does mention that her husband is interested in the National unity thing.

Unreal Admiration | Chifuyu, Ran, and Rindou

- The boys with an s/o who simps over fictional characters.

A/N: This was actually a request but my dumb ass accidentally posted an empty draft on the ask so I have to delete it. I'm so sorry! ( ⚈̥̥̥̥̥́⌢⚈̥̥̥̥̥̀) I hope that the anon who requested this will be able to see it.

Chifuyu Matsuno

"Partners of Culture". That's what you and your boyfriend would like to call the two of you.

Other than the love you have for each other, another thing that you and Chifuyu have in common is your love for anime and mangas.

But the difference between you and him is that he's into it for the stories only. He just finds shoujo mangas interesting enough. While you, on the other hand, have an undying fondness for 2D Characters.

He understands you tho. After all, it's normal for the weeb culture, right?

He likes seeing you admire these characters. But sometimes, he gets a bit worried by how much you simp over them.

You two were currently on a date in Akihabara. Chifuyu was the one who invited you in one of his free time. There's no better way to spend his day off other with you anyway.

While you two were wandering around the busy streets, a certain familiar standee caught your eye.

"Holy shit. Chi, can you take a picture of us?" You handed your phone to your boyfriend who looks confused for a moment.

And there you were, scurrying off to a standee of Kuroo Tetsuro. One of the characters you've been simping on for what seems like forever.

Chifuyu can't help but feel happy seeing you smile. But while he's busy taking photos of you, he can't help but worry.

You always rant about how hot and good Kuroo is. What if you leave him and find someone more "Kuroo-like"?

After a hundred photos later, you can't help but crack another smile at the photos Chifuyu took. But, your boyfriend on the other hand was dead silent.

"Chifuyu, what's wrong?" You frowned at your boyfriend who seems to be in deep thought.

"Oh, it's nothing Y/N" he managed to crack a smile at you. Which you know he's just faking.

"No. Tell me what's wrong." You held both of his hands, squeezing them as if you're telling him that you won't stop until he talks about it.

"Well, I was just worried." He started. "What if you find someone like Kuroo? I don't even play volleyball and I'm not as tall as him and- OW! Y/N what was that for?"

You flicked your boyfriend's forehead. "You idiot! He's not real Chi, and you know that. And besides, even if he is, I wouldn't trade you for anyone in this world" You smiled at him. "I may be the biggest simp for him but it's nothing compared to how much I simp on you."

Chifuyu can't help but blush at your statement. Embarrassment washing over him.

Well, maybe you're right. Your love for him is something he holds on to. Even if it's against fictional characters.

Ran Haitani

Ran wasn't much of an anime watcher. Not because he doesn't like it but just because he's busy running Roppongi along with Rindou.

So when he found out that you're a weeb, he was actually quite interested.

Whenever there are days where he has nothing much to do - which is rare - he spends it with you. Either he'll treat you on fancy dates when he feels like it or he binge watches anime with you on your couch.

Although the latter was the one he's into recently.

He genuinely enjoys it tho. How you two will be cuddled over the couch while you two watch over how Gojo beats the shit out of the cursed spirit, Jogo.

What Ran enjoys more is seeing you gush over Gojo and using it to tease the shit out of you.

"Damn. He's hot and the strongest. What more can you ask for?" You smiled as you two were watching JJK. Your mind wandering off to another planet where you're a sorcerer.

"Stop talking about me. I'm right beside you, Y/N." Ran teased. His hands slithering on your waist and slightly squeezing it.

"I'm literally talking about Gojo, babe. Not you." You sighed as you returned your attention on the television. A tickle of wind running on your ear.

"He's not real though." Ran whispered as he slightly bit your ear. "And besides, I'm hot. And not to mention strong too" he said as he winked at you.

"Baby, I bet you couldn't even beat him" you teased. Fighting the urge to laugh at Ran's random teasing.

"Yeah. But that's because his not real." He smirked. "Are you really defending a FICTIONAL character right now Y/N? And in front of your boyfriend?" He clutched his hand over his chest, pretending to be hurt.

"Ran, do you really have to emphasize the fictional?" You rolled your eyes. Knowing where this is going.

"Yup. Baby, I don't care if you have a crush on even 500 of them. They're all ain't real." Ran laughed. He's confident as your husbandos and waifus have nothing over him.

He exists. They don't.

"Shut up you cocky bastard. Just enjoy the show." You huffed, turning around and focusing again on the series.

Ran tightened his grip on your waist as he left a kiss on your neck. Leaving a trail of shiver running down your spine.

"Bet your 2D characters can't do this to you." He smirked.

He's right tho. They never can and they never will.

Rindou Haitani

Rindou was kind enough to keep up with your interests. But he doesn't get it.

Having a love for anime is alright for him. Although he doesn't have any interest in it at all, he tolerates it for you. What confuses him though is how the fuck can you simp over them.

For him, they're just a bunch of drawn characters who you can only see on mangas and TVs. How can you admire something that isn't real?

And what's annoying him most is that there are times that you blabber about how much you like them.

Of course, he'll pretend that it doesn't get to him. They're just 2D characters, what exactly could they do for you? Nothing.

Well, he's wrong.

While Rindou was out beating up people, your long-awaited packaged has arrived. Of course, as the weeb at heart that you are, you couldn't contain your excitement from opening it.

Your 5ft pillow, which has Levi printed on it has finally arrived.

Oh, what a time to be alive.

You hugged the pillow. Feeling how soft and fluffy it was, it drifted you off to dreamland.

This was the sight that welcomed Rindou when he arrived home. His beautiful s/o hugging a 2D character who probably can't even reach him.

Rindou didn't like the sight of it. And he's not having any of it.

Although he tolerates your love for 2D characters, he doesn't like this idea. Not when he's supposed to be the one you're hugging right now.

Rindou harshly pulled the pillow which awakened you from your nap.

"Rindou? Welcome home." You smiled sheepishly, sleep still drooping in your eyes.

"What the fuck is this?" Rindou asked, pointing to the pillow he's tightly clutching now.

You sat up. Quite surprised by your boyfriend's outburst. "Oh, that was the package I was talking about the other day. Nice isn't it?"

"No." Rindou threw the pillow away from across the room "If you want to keep it, leave it there. Or I'll burn it." He quickly laid next to you, and looked at you with a face screaming "cuddle with me"

"Rindou, he's not real. Are you jealous?" You laughed. Hugging your boyfriend who's now acting like a baby.

"No. The fuck? You just look like a pervert hugging that." He eased into your arms as he glared at you.

"Baby, they're 2D okay? I just like them that's all. And I love you" you caressed your boyfriend's cheek who's now having a faint blush.

"Tch. Whatever" Rindou replied as he closed his eyes. Deciding that having a nap with you is better than getting mad over a damn pillow.

Although he still can't decide whether to throw that pillow or not.

"You're Mine." ~ Hawks x reader x Gojo x Dazai

This is just pure self-indulgence

Sitting on the steps of your house you scroll through your phone bored on a Saturday afternoon and looked up occasionally at the birds or chipmunks passing through the grass. You had just gotten out of classes yesterday and were taking the day to relax, winding down through social media or hobbies. Some of the favorite anime’s had updated and you had already binged them, now facing the consequences of being a binge-watcher.

Leaning your head up to the sky you close your eyes and let the sun warm your face, enjoying the warm spring day. You feel something tickle your nose and brush your face, the object in question being soft and light.

Opening your eyes, you see a red feather brushing your face and are put into shock a bit but brush it off as a coincidence with the winged character in the recent episode you watched. You laughed and put your phone down to grab the feather, touching lightly admiring how soft it was. “Be careful with that feather, kid.” A masculine voice laughed behind you, whipping around to see none other than Hawks or Keigo Takami.

“W-what? How are you here?!” staring at him with a slightly panicked look. It’s not that you didn’t want him here, it was an amazing mystery, but you really didn’t want him to know how much you actually liked him. “I don’t think that matters because you here, I’m here and I finally get to see my baby bird~” He rasped while lifting you up and wrapping an arm around your waist, hugging you tightly.

You heard him sign contently and pull away to stare into your eyes, closing the gap between you, and stopped before whispering, “Can I?” Nodding you kissed him back and put your arms around his neck, being careful of his wings. Feeling them flutter slightly, some of the longer feathers brushing against you because of the wind.

The kiss was soft and loving, adoring every second of it knowing this could be fake. You both broke for air and you hugged him once more, burying your face into his neck and murmuring how this couldn’t possibly be real and you had to wake up now.

“This is real and I promise I’m not a hallucination. I cannot believe I can finally hold you in my arms, be able to actually speak to you, kiss you, love you, gaze at you, and fuck you.” Keigo whispered the last part, placing small kisses all over your face and smirking as he saw your face light up from his comment.

Furiously blushing, you look at his face again, his blonde wavy hair, the crimson wings seemingly as tall as you, the black birthmarks around his golden eyes, to the warmth of his hands cupping your face.

The both of you lovingly staring at each other and smiling like no tomorrow. But of course, that was interrupted but not by who you expected it to be. “Hey! I see you found Ashe, thanks for waiting for me.” Gojo said walking up to the both of you smirking and staring right at you through his black sunglasses, not even bothering to acknowledge Keigo.

The tall white-haired man strolled up to you guys and intertwined your hands with his, using the other hand to take off his glasses revealing his stunning blue eyes. “How are you doing, sweetheart?” If your face could get redder it was because of how flustered you were with both of your crushes flirting with you (not even remembering your kiss with Keigo for fear of shutting down out of embarrassment).

“Hey bud, I think you’re mistaken because we were in the middle of something. Back off.” The winged man said, tightening his grasp on your waist possessively and glaring at Gojo.

“I don’t think they would mind, seeing as they like me as well.” Gojo teased back to Keigo, winking at you not so subtly, “Gojo, I hate to tell you but you’re wrong because I know I can make them blush harder than you.

After all, I did just steal a kiss from them and I know my baby bird loved every second of it, isn’t that right Ashe?” Stuttering your cheeks flushed brightly as you went to hide your face in Keigo’s chest, completely speechless because of what he had said.

Feeling Hawks’ chest vibrate as he laughed at your reaction, suddenly sweeping you up in his arms and hovering off the ground as his wings curled around you both. “Just try and keep up with me, pretty boy~,” He said as Keigo shot up into the sky, leaving Gojo on the ground.

“Now I have you all to myself~ My beautiful hummingbird.” The blonde said holding against his chest, nuzzling his face into your neck as you held onto him for dear life. You know that he would never drop you but there’s still that fear instilled in you.

You gasped as Keigo kissed your neck and tried to find your sweet spot, nibling certain areas then licking them to soothe the slight pain it gave you. He moved to your earlobe, tugging with his teeth, and sucked it, humming as his breath fanned your face.

He pulled back with your lobe still in between his teeth and smirked. Keigo narrowed his eyes as he continued to suck on it and hum pleasantly. Letting go of it to kiss you passionately, moaning into the kiss as you return it and close your eyes.

You feel his tongue swipe across your bottom lip, asking for permission in and you gladly open your mouth. Signing contently as his tongue roamed your mouth claiming every inch of it, caressing your tongue, and moaning as you both continue.

After a couple of seconds, you both break apart for air, desperately panting for air while Keigo seems less tired than you. Leaning your head on his chest as he rests his head on top of yours humming a soft song as you both fly in and out of the clouds.

“I couldn’t ask for anything more than this. I love you so much, dove. The way you smile, always giving me another reason to see it again. How easy it is to fluster you with just my words, seeing those cheeks bloom red whenever I tease you,” Of course you had blushed at that comment being completely true and you could never deny it.

You were always weak to teasing and being flustered and with Keigo of all people doing it didn’t help your case at all. “I can’t believe I’m actually here with you, Keigo. It seems too good to be real but I hope this never ends. I love you so much.” He smiled and leaned down, nuzzling your noses together,

“I love you too, baby bird. So much-” He was cut short by a popping sound and you being lifted out of his arms, into Gojo who had apparently warped to catch up to you guys.

“I wanted to be respectful and let the both of you finish your moment but I couldn’t wait any longer. Now they’re mine, birdy.” Not even giving Keigo a chance to respond only hearing a “shit!” from him as you and Gojo quickly went back down to the ground somewhere.

By now, you couldn’t even keep track of where you were but hoped you didn’t die now because that would suck. Once you felt your feet touch the ground, you pried your hands off of his neck that you had been clutching in all the panic. Your apology being brushed off by Gojo as he walked you two further down the alleyway with him just staring ahead.

“Finally have some alone time with you without someone interrupting. So,” You were suddenly pulled to his chest as Gojo went to sit down on a nearby box, your hands landing on his chest to stabilize yourself as you straddled him.

“I’m not letting you go anytime soon, baby. You’re mine~” he said as his hand lifted your chin and captured your lips softly, putting his hand around your waist to get you closer. Gojos’ hand moved from your chin to your neck as you both passionately kissed each other and softly moaned as you both continued. Until the very last moment, you broke for air as he smirked gazing at your pink cheeks, slightly open mouth inhaling air and half-lidded eyes.

Leaning down to kiss your neck, sucking parts as you react gasping as he licked a line up your neck and kissed your jaw. Doing this all while you could see him staring at you from his lowered sunglasses, teasingly staring at you as he got you all hot and bothered. You let a moan slip as you felt him brush your ass, squeezing it as he went to your thighs and rubbed them, going up and down.

Occasionally, squeezing parts and laughing while he was still kissing your neck at the small noises you let out. “That’s it, baby. Let me hear your pretty little voice~” He purred as he locked his eyes on yours, smirking and relentlessly kissing and biting along your neck. Gojo stopped but continued to rub your thighs, kissing you as his hands wandered further up and reached your clothed clit.

Causing you to moan loudly into his mouth as he softly rubbed his fingers up and down the fabric separating him from your skin. “I can’t wait to hear you screaming your name in pleasure for me-,” Hearing a clash and seeing black smoke fill the air and hearing Gojo hiss, you were pulled away from your crush yet again and backing into someone’s chest.

You were quickly pulled out of the area, coughing as you ran from the alley you were once in. At this point, you were too aroused to care and a bit annoyed at people stealing you away just when things got heated. Finally being able to see your ‘kidnapper’ and it being none other than Dazai. Smiling back at you as both ran, “Knew he would be there, just a matter of time and patience until I finally had you in my arms.”

Laughing he kept running with you helplessly following him and jumping over any debris that you would run into, looking ahead to see an abandoned building. You both rushed inside, stopping to catch your breath when you look around to see where you are and scan the area around you. The dark interior of the warehouse was covered in broken glass and scattered boxes, some sunlight was peaking in through the uncovered window.

You walk around the building, studying all the boarded-up windows and boxes full of old junk, and heard Dazai following you. Seeing him next to you in your peripheral vision eyeing you as you explored the building, remaining silent until you reached an iron support beam and ran your hand over some carvings in the metal. You heard a hum behind you and slowly backed into the beam as Dazai crept towards you.

“Well, we’re alone in here and I have you all to myself. Now~” The brunette said as he kissed you, grasping your cheek as he pushed his body against yours. Letting out a small noise in surprise but returning it immediately and closing your eyes letting Dazai lead.

You bit his lip and moaned as he growled in response, running his hands down your figure and resting at your hands, intertwining them. He licked your bottom lip and you gave him access, dancing his tongue over yours and moving it around your mouth.

You felt his hands raise yours and pin your wrists with one hand above your head, breaking the kiss and narrowing his eyes at you in lust. Tilting his head and placed a string of kisses from your jaw to your collar bones, trailing his hand down your back reaching your ass, and squeezing it causing you to involuntary push your body against his.

“Just like that, darling. Show me what you got~” You nodded with half-lidded eyes filled with lust as he looked you up and down seductively. Murmuring how long he had waited for this moment and kissing your neck, stretching your clasped hands despair to grab on to something.

Your breathing became ragged as you became aware of how turned on you were getting as Dazai found your sweet spot and abused it with kisses, biting it and sucking it. There were going to be hickeys all over your neck the next day from what these men had done to you but you weren’t complaining.

Loud moans left your mouth as he licked and kissed the places where he had bit, coming back up to kiss you once more, moaning into the kiss and your eyes fluttered closed once again. You felt a gust of wind pass you as you broke the kiss to look at the entrance to the warehouse to see a vermillion pair of wings fly by as his feathers separate the both of you, flying you to Keigo’s arms.

“And here I thought they would go easy on me. Hope you didn’t think that I gave up, you’re always gonna be mine kid~.” He purred into your ear as he whispered what he was going to do to make you forget about both of the other two. Flying out of the building and back into the sky, making sure you weren’t going to hit anything before looking down at you curled into his chest away from the wind.

At this point, you were far past thinking you were dreaming and just enjoyed all the attention you were getting. Feeling him kiss your head as Keigo slowly descended to your porch, you were going to ask him to put you down when his wings closed around you,

“So, I’m guessing you both aren’t giving up, huh? You have a lot of nerve stealing my baby bird away from me.” You heard Keigo growl holding your closer and you saw Gojo and Dazai casually leaning on the porch steps, looking at you with ‘playful’ smirks. The white-haired sorcerer was the first to speak,

“No way. Especially not when they were clearly enjoying my touches the best~” He said huskily as you were pulled out of Keigo’s arms and into Gojo’s chest. “You two obviously have no idea what you’re talking about because you should have heard the noises they were making for me. Oh, wait- Hawks you were there for part of it?”

Dazai smugly grinned as he pulled you closer towards him, “How’d it feel that your ‘baby bird’ became my darling? Hm?” This was Keigo’s last nerve apparently because he slowly walked toward him and wrapped an arm around their waist, forcing you closer to Keigo with both of your hands still being with Gojo and Dazai.

They all glared at each other while your mind had short-circuited long ago just trying to breathe properly with all three guys fighting over you and eventually hearing enough of their bickering, “Guys! As much as I would love to say who flustered me the most, I don’t want to upset any of you when I love you all so much. Besides, I actually don’t know who ‘won’ because I felt drunk on lust for most of it.”

You said to all of them, laughing at the end of it. Noticing glances being shared by the three guys and seemingly coming to a conclusion silently, Gojo being the first to say something, “Well if we all tied this round,” Dazai whispered next to your ear and further helped your blush, “Then it only seems fair,”

Keigo tilted your red face up and came close enough to touch your lips, “That we all get to try again. How about it hummingbird?” They all wove their arms around you as you finally processed what they had said.

BIRDGIRL EPISODE 1: "PILOT" (April 4th, 2021)

This show contains discussion of parental neglect, non-graphic death and a hidden severed foot in a bag.

So, funny story, 21 years ago I was 5 years old watching the beginnings of Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law. Was I too young for it? Absolutely. But also it was like, the least inappropriate thing on Adult Swim I actively watched all through its run until I was 12 years old, so it's held a special place in my heart ever since.

All of that is to say, having seen that show is kind of unnecessary to understanding this episode. Which I would hope, given this is a spinoff of a show that began 21 years ago, ended officially 14 years ago, and had its last one-off special 3 years ago.

Birdgirl starts us off with Judy Ken Sebben/Birdgirl finishing up her day job, ordering ramen takeout while venting through the call about how her passions are more with her other life as Birdgirl than with her normal life as Judy, which is the perfect set up for the ultimate point of the episode. It then rushes forward into Birdgirl's fast paced action and awkwardness-heavy night, showing how much more excited Judy feels to do that than her lawyer day job. Though it also shows how RECKLESS she is as Birdgirl.

Judy completely ignores the giant signs of her father's death, seemingly out of cluelessness to the audience as its presented.

But longtime watchers of Harvey Birdman will already know he's faked his death multiple times, a point that's brought up when Judy goes to work the next day and is called into the meeting for the CEO Replacement. In which its revealed that her father (who believes Birdgirl and Judy are different people) chose Birdgirl to be the CEO while giving Judy the majority stocks in the company, setting off the real point of the episode, and possibly series: Judy's entire mental disconnect with herself. She feels distraught that her father saw Birdgirl as CEO material and not her more personal, calmer self.

Because she can't bring herself to grieve over her father yet again after the previous times, she goes fully into denial spending more of her time as Birdgirl and neglecting her personal life.

Which brings the concern of the friend she makes with Meredith the Mindtaker, a green telepath played by Negin Farsad.

Meredith is very empathetic despite calling herself "bad at emotions", which might be a side effect of her powers. Speaking of, to make a mental note, I find it refreshing that her powers are treated very intentionally not-invasively as possible, only using them to give therapeutic advice to Judy or physically stopping her to get her to listen. The biggest "misuse" is just her joking to finish Judy's sentences, which while annoying, isn't the same as forcing her way deep into Judy's insecurities she won't admit to herself.

Birdgirl's humor is dry and not scored by music or heavy sounds, aside from the absurdity of Birdgirl's incompetence at fighting crime in denial of her father's death; which is still underplayed compared to other examples I've seen.

The character design feels fitting as a continuation to Harvey Birdman while just being pleasant to look at, while also animating probably better overall than the original or a show with a similar vibe and style like Archer.

I really like how Birdgirl's eyes go from superhero cartoon/comic book white to showing her eyes like a live action adaptation whenever she'll be speaking honestly from the heart while in the mask instead of in denial.

One thing that might become obvious the longer you watch the episode is that, unlike Harvey Birdman, Birdgirl seems like it's not allowed to use Hanna Barbera/MGM/Cartoon Network characters freely, which may explain the abscence of a few old key characters, not showing or mentioning Harvey Birdman, and the fact one of the board members is a cartoon dog that might've been Droopy had they been able to. I don't think this hinders the show at all, but it is noticeable considering the show it spun off from. Might be Warner wanting to keep some characters clean while they try to use them in kid appropriate material like Space Jam: A New Legacy.

Birdgirl is a very calm show, definitely meant for teenagers and older — With the exploration of Judy's personal, mental and emotional struggles brought on by her father's neglect of her when she wasn't being reckless as Birdgirl. However, everything else is very tame; there's fewer than 5 bleeped swears, fewer than 3 mentions of sex and despite there being a people eating machine in this episode, it shows no real gore unlike another show with the same TV-14 Rating.

Birdgirl is for adults not in the sense that it has content inappropriate for children, but in the sense that its story, which seems to be ongoing, deals with issues that are only really relatable to people who are old enough. Despite human waste (heh) being a part of the episode, it doesn't ever feel "immature" in the way that poster child shows like Family Guy or Rick and Morty can feel, or even Tuca and Bertie, which is very mature with an important story, but goes for more crass jokes.

If you're a fan of stories with a woman-centric cast and dry humor, I'd recommend it to you. If you're more into the superhero stuff, I can't say I'd recommend it to you until more episodes have come out for a better gauge of where the show's boundaries will be.

Overall, Birdgirl is an enjoyable superhero empathy ride I hope to see more of and I'm glad I checked out.

I agree! Levihan is incredibly underrated and sometimes even the community which gets picked on the most apparently.

I don’t know the actual environment in twitter since I tend to keep to myself there and my knowledge is limited to like the 10 Levihan blogs I follow but I hear a lot of antis deny what happened in 126 and 132 saying Levi and Hange were just being friendly there or smthg but if it were Levi and their dream pairing doing the same thing as Hange and Levi were there, they’d be screaming ‘CANON’ but yeah, it was Levi and Hange and apparently they don’t have any chemistry or something like that.

In the Japanese fandom though, Levihan is not as underrated actually. It is one of the top pairings that actually pushed 126 and 132 to the top of the polls for the Bessatsu polls for colored chapters. They have Levihan events and loads of Levihan dojins and content. (but Ereri still beats it fsrrrr)

I have A LOT of friends who watch AoT but surprise surprise, I’m the only Levihan shipper. I have friends who ship Jeankasa, Eremika and even RivaMika but NO ONE SHIPS LEVIHAN. And I asked about it and here are some reasons I get:

1. Their height difference is just too big. It looks weird.

2. They’re too weird for each other.

3. They’re more like siblings.

4. Levi always looks irritated when they see each other. Are you sure he doesn’t hate her?

5. (for anime onlies) I have not seen them do anything romantic. At least Jean showed like some obvious romantic infatuation for Mikasa.

Make what you want of those comments up there but that’s the general reasoning I have seen among my friends which really just makes me roll my eyes *internally* because really Levihan was the closest ship to canon next to Yumihisu fight me.

But why isn’t it as big as let’s say... Ereri?

Okay I think to answer this type of question, we have to understand the fundamental fact that people ship what they ship for their own personal reasons. There is no universal reason to ship a pairing.

Personally, I would ship a pairing or a relationship I would want for myself. Like the hanky panky part of the relationship is just a bonus. I like celebrating relationships that can teach us about healthy development, conflict resolution and mutual trust and I think Levihan does a great job in showing a healthy developed relationship between two parties. I have made a list of what exactly I find so delectable about their pairing and you can check it out here.

I have trouble seeing that same healthy development in Ereri all the way to Season 4 (but if you do see it, do point it out. )

I mean apparently people actually see BDSM fuel in the court room scene in Season 1 and the soon to be animated kick from Levi in Seaosn 4 and those apparently are what launched this AOT ship into fame.

From Ereri’s origins we could surmise that people generally ship it because it’s an attractive ship to ship more than it being what embodies their dream relationship or a healthy ship.

This is an okay way to go about shipping anyway. What I find problematic is when ship wars start all because people wanna force their own preferences on others which is apparently incredibly common in twitter.

Hange and Levi’s relationship is really good fuel for hot porn as well (and I’ve read some good dojins) but they’re a het pairing too and I think it has been a norm for a while that yaoi pairings tend to be more popular among fans, We do have a lot of ‘fujoshis’ who enjoy these things. I’ve been into sports anime for an incredibly long time and it’s also apparent there that homosexual pairings tend to fly more than het pairings and this might also apply to this fandom. (It applies to most fandoms I think.)

And Hange’s kinda underrated.

Hange doesn’t score high as a popular character among Western audiences (although she scores high among Japanese audiences) so there’s also the question of “Why ship Levi would a character who isn’t even popular?” and for a lot of audiences, Hange has been reduced to the mad scientist.

And to appreciate the relationship between Levi and Hange, we have to have a more in depth appreciation for both Hange and Levi which tend to be glossed over by a lot of watchers. Erwin and Eren generally score higher or are more popular characters next to Levi and I think that’s one reason why people to opt to pair Hange with Erwin and Hange with Eren.

Like, you might notice a commonality among most if not all Levihan fans but we are all huge fans of Hange. Like I think being a huge fan of Hange comes with being a Levihan stan.

Hopefully though animating 126 and 132 will make it a little more mainstream ship? Who knows.

Notes: how many times have i reread this fic? more than i can count. jon quits the institute and it’s just full of soft jonmartins. they get married! god i love them.

Summary:

Standing in the warm kitchen, slats of sepia light filtering through onto the counter in front of him, Martin doesn’t know what to do with his hands. He half expects them to go through the countertop entirely, glossy and solid as it is. He isn’t used to any of it, yet. The safehouse. Jon. Beams of sun pouring into his hands. After being deprived of everything of significance for so long, the longing that crashes over him is almost painful in its tangibility. He wants to laugh, to sob, to scream and hear it echoed back against the neat, square walls of the safehouse.

In the end, he doesn’t do any of these things. He makes eggs instead. He can do that, can’t he? Use his hands for something simple and plain and good.

(Or: In the safehouse after it all, Martin starts cooking.)

Notes: this fic really speaks to me a) because i project on martin like crazy and b) because food is also my love language. this fic is incredibly soft and it’s all about cooking!

“Have you tried turning it on and off again?” by shinyopals

Summary:

I hope you find your new role as Head of the Institute as rewarding as captaining the Tundra, wrote Elias Bouchard, to Peter Lukas. Notes: if you’re looking for a good laugh, this fic is SO SO SO FUNNY. i was dying. basically the magnus institute being an absolute bureaucratic nightmare.

Notes: this time travel fixit is shaping up to be an absolutely incredible read. i love the way this author writes jon so so much, and the characterization is spot on. this whole fic just satisfies some little part of me. god. also!! bubonickitten’s writing in general? beautiful. please check out their other works.

The Timeline of Theseus by Applea

Jon tries to force the Spiral to send him back, but the Sprial's corridors never twist things quite the way you want them to. Back in 1996, Elias has no idea why or how the Eye made such a powerful Avatar out of an 8 year old, especially when said 8 year old doesn't actually know he has any powers at all. Clearly such a child cannot be left outside the Institute's care.

Notes: This fic is legitimately brilliant. The author manages to capture the big ADHD mood and the precociousness of baby Jon while managing to write a wonderful storyline. Time travel! Elderly lesbians! A Jonah who is wildly in over his head but was walloped over the head with paternal instinct! Baby Gerry! What more could you possibly ask for?

“Wanted to ask about a book.” The boy has his hand on the counter, and he leans into it, nonchalant. The library is air-conditioned, but by no means frigid, and Jon can’t help but feel sweaty just looking at the layers he’s wearing; what looks like old leather over an olive-green Magnus pullover over his school shirt. “Do you have A Journal of the Plague Year?”

Jon says, tetchily, “We’re about to close.”

“I know. Do you have A Journal of the Plague Year?”

Notes: I am so in love with this author’s writing style and the way they write the characters!! The jon and gerry friendship is PERFECT and the character interactions are all darling.

When Ladybug suggested they go to the movies, she saw Chat Noir flinch.

"What? What's wrong?" She frowned. Her partner never passed up an opportunity to spend time with her.

"Are you sure you want to go to the movies?" He asked, carefully. "Don't you remember what happened the last time?"

Ladybug rubbed her arm, flushing. "It wasn't that bad."

"The movie tanked after the news of Ladybug trashing it leaked."

"I tried to take it back!"

"The director prepared a press conference to apologize for offending you with that movie!"

"I said I was sorry!" She said, exasperated, and rolled her eyes when she noticed Chat Noir turning purple from trying to hold back his laughter. "Stop making fun of me!"

"Sorry, my lady, it's just too easy."

"Haha, very funny. So, want to go?"

"I would never turn down a date with my lady." Chat Noir said, smiling teasingly, and she silently scolded her heart for jumping in her chest. "What do you wanna see? The new animated movie about us?"

Her nose scrunched. "I don't think there's even a trailer out yet."

"Really? But I was so sure… maybe I got the dates mixed up." He shrugged. "What, then?"

"There was this school class that got their movie playing in a cinema. How about that?" Ladybug said casually.

Of course she had already seen the movie with her class, Alya on one side and Adrien (!!) on the other, high on the feeling of a production with her designs being played on the big screen. It was great and she had a lot of fun, but she couldn't help wondering what Chat Noir would think, which of her classmates would he get along with and if he would have liked her designs. She couldn't call him over to find out, she knew that, but watching his live reactions wasn't off the table.

"Oh, sure, sounds good." Chat Noir agreed easily. "Last one pays for the popcorn?"

Their race was mostly symbolic, it wasn't like any cinema allowed The Ladybug and Chat Noir to pay for anything in their premises, no matter how much they protested. So when they sat down in the almost empty room, it was with a bag of free popcorn and soft drinks of their choice. Chat even got a free bag of licorice for working his charm on the female attendant.

"What can I do about it, my lady?" He said, popping on into his mouth. It stained his lips red. "I'm irresistible."

"Yeah, sure, whatever." Ladybug grumbled, munching on her popcorn. "The movie is about to start, so shhhhh."

Chat Noir was a quiet watcher, he just hummed and gasped appropriately at the right times. He smiles a lot during the movie, even in moments of monotony between plot points, so he must have been enjoying that a lot. She found herself staring more at him than at the movie.

It's because I already watched it. She told herself. The light playing patterns on her partner being mesmerizing had nothing to do with it, surely. Just that.

It was by the end, when Zoé's character was convincing Mylene's that balance must be kept that she noticed his eyes getting moist.

"Everything okay?" Ladybug whispered to Chat Noir.

He nodded, running his right arm against his eyes.

"That line about destruction being as important as creation was… different." He said and even though his voice was quiet, it rang through her.

"It was a good one. They're right." She said, taking his hand and squeezing it lightly. "Creation would be nothing without destruction."

"You think so?" Chat Noir asked, voice small.

"I know so." She said firmly. He seemed content with the answer, turning his eyes back to the movie.

Ladybug forced herself to do the same, not letting go of his hand at all. When the movie ended, they stared at the credits in silence.

"Sooo, did you like it?" She asked, trying to hide how eager she was to know.

His eyes lit up. "It was great! The production was amazing and the actresses were really good."

"Oh, wanna know a secret?" Ladybug whispered, leaning in his space. Predictably, he nodded eagerly. "You know the creation actress, Zoé? She 's Vesperia!"

"No way!" Chat Noir exclaimed, jaw dropping.

"Shhh, not so loud." She said, waving her hands. "But yeah, she was around and someone I trust said she's a good person. Zoé wanted to help her sister, so it made sense to choose her."

"That's why I thought she was Queen Bee when we met, I thought it was just the glamour messing with me!" He chuckled, followed by the light in his eyes dimming. "That's great, my lady."

"Are you sure? You don't look like you think so." Ladybug pointed out. "Did you think Vesperia was a bad choice? I thought she did fine."

"No, no, Vesperia did pretty well, especially since it was her first try." Chat Noir said, sounding sincere. "It's something else, Bug. I would rather not talk about it."

"Okay, then." She agreed, filing away the information for later. "You know, it's the first time in a while that I managed to finish a movie in the cinema, I missed it."

"I don't really come here much, last time I kinda watched a movie with a friend."

"Ohh, anyone I know?" Ladybug teased, sure he was talking about their disastrous movie session before she revealed herself to Alya.

"Oh, it's just the friend I told you about, Sallie." Chat Noir said, instantly cheering up as he mentioned her name.

"That 's nice." She said, stomping down on the sudden rage that bubbled in her chest. Is it possible to hate someone she didn't even know the real name of? "What did you watch?"

"An indie movie called Solitude." He said fondly as her mind came to a stop.

"What? Wasn't there only one showing of it a few months back?!"

He raised an eyebrow. "Yeah, how did you know?"

"I went there with a friend too!" At that, he gasped. "I can't believe we were in the same room." Without the masks , she didn’t say.

"Do you think we saw each other? There weren't a lot of people."

"I… don't know. I wasn't paying attention." Ladybug said, searching her memories for a grinning boy, probably flirting (ugh) with a giggling girl.

"Not paying attention? Why were you so distracted, my lady?" He teased, giddy. "Were you on a date?"

"Ugh, I wish." She sighed lovingly, regretting it as his face fell. "Chaton, I didn't-"

"It 's fine, really." He said, smile strained. "Was it the other boy, the one you came with?"

Ladybug nodded hesitantly and he took his eyes of her to stare ahead.

"I wish I had seen you that day." Chat Noir said softly.

"Me too, Chaton." She agreed, squeezing the clawed hand in hers, unwilling to let go.

Mikasa’s reintroduction to the series takes the largest piece of the pie, with 31.6% enjoying the scene the most. In second comes the coordinated attack from the Survey Corps against Porco, with 14.8% feeling that scene really brings the hype. At 10.3%, Levi’s first appearance in the season takes 3rd place, and with 9.7% is the overall fight between Eren and the War Hammer Titan.

Ackermans ran this episode as they should. They're on a whole different level.

Why isn't the Sasha-Gabi moment in the list of favourite moments? That's my actually favourite moment. Gabi seeing Sasha through the fire and smoke, Sasha's reflection in her eyes...chilling.

THE CGI CONTINUES TO BE A POINT OF CONTENTION. BE HONEST, HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THE EXECUTION OF CGI SO FAR THIS SEASON? 309 Responses

In general, the fandom appears to be understanding of MAPPA’s usage of CGI, with 38.2% being completely unbothered by it, 20.1% feeling that while it’s not ideal, it could be much worse, and 18.8% not particularly caring for it but not faulting MAPPA for it either. A handful of people just wish that there would be more appreciation that it’s getting animated at all, while others continue to be a bit salty about the usage of CGI this season.

Did people forgot the god-awful Colossal titan's CGI from WIT? Well, I didn't so I wasn't surprised by the same level of CGI in Eren's scene (thankfully just one of them). I rarely have issue with CGI in SnK except for truly awful looking ones so like couple of times in the season, usually.

I honestly wouldn't even know there's CGI if everyone wasn't complaining about it. I honest to god can't see where they use it.

It's mostly fine

I thought the war hammer titan looked AMAZING, the only CGI that looked odd was the scouts in the background, but that’s really it...?

A few sore spots (e.g. Erens titan looked kinda off this ep), but it's not season-ruining yet.

It works fine for titans that already look somewhat mechanical (Armor, Jaw), but it looks incredibly awkward for the others, to the point of taking me out of the story.

Maybe I've been spoiled by studio orange and the previous seasons, but I know for a fact that they can do better. This is not a new anime, this is the final season of one of the greatest anime of all time, so yeah I expected much better CGI, it was poor and unecessary.

i think it’s gr8/unnoticeable,,,,,like we all put up with the colossal titan in s1-3 lmao

Some Titans like Eren and Beast look a little weird but I just really like how they made effort to make it blend with the art style. Maybe if they had found a way to cut the animation down to 12fps it might not look so bad? Anyways I think it’s good for what it is, MAPPA is doing their best!

I barely noticed it. The animation looks BOMB. Top 5 episodes of the whole series for me and BEST action episode of AOT easily.

I'm always going to prefer 2D but I understand why they're using it. Still sad about what could've been if they were given enough time to work on the season. Definitely going to lower my expectations.

I think the CGI for the Titans is completely fine. It's the CGI for the Scouts that was a bit off putting for me. Still, not enough to ruin the episode. And if we continue to get animation of this standard I will be fine with it.

At this point after episode 7 onward eventually AOT CGI is going to be worst than EX-arm's CGI

I knew why they added it, but I (personally) think willy is crud. Not mad it's there tho!

He did his duty as a Tybur to the very end. Honestly I wish he could have lived longer, he’s a really compelling and interesting character.

I feel like some viewers have carelessly misunderstood Willy because of that scene in the carriage. They're like 'wow, he really hates and shames his own people huh?' but at the beginning of the episode we all saw his abundance of children. Would it not have been extremely contradictory if he had truly wanted the extinction of all Eldians and then at the same time did the complete opposite by mass-reproducing a small army of Eldian children? Maybe that's why that scene was added to the start of the episode, to keep people away from mischaracterising him. Unfortunately, this may have simply been missed or overlooked by some.

A minor dialogue change didn’t seem to have much of an effect on nearly half of respondents, with 47.5% saying they’re indifferent to the change. 43.3% like the change much better, feeling that it works a lot better with future story developments and makes more sense. I suppose the new change is a little contradictory because Magath dislikes Marley’s reliance on Titan power and rather just wishes th ey had prowess in other ways.

Realistically eating him makes more sense for them to eat Eren so they gain control of the Founder but I think Magath accepting the age of Titans is now done for is more in character.

It obviously makes more sense logistically, but I think it's important for Magath to stand opposed to Marley national policy on this front, like, symbolically.

ADDITIONAL THOUGHTS ON THE EPISODE?

I enjoyed the episode very much. I felt that the CGI was handled fairly well given the time restraints. However, there were a few instances where it was a bit jarring like Eren eating Willy, Eren pulling the WHT's cord, Mikasa landing on Eren, and Jean climbing up on the roof. Also some of the CGI models looked a bit weird for the scouts. I'm hoping some of these issues can be improved on in the Blue-ray version. Overall, these issues were noticeable but didn't take too much away from my enjoyment of the episode.

As much as I don't like the CGI, episode was great.

Just that it was fantastic and I can't wait for the next one!

The music is top notch. I love it. Especially the new version of XL TT near the end

After re-visiting the trailer we got for this season, it's just....saddening. Everyone was wondering how Mappa was gonna animate AoT and after seeing that trailer, all that effort by the animators, I thought "it's in good hands!". Now that we're getting the episodes and it's underwhelming. I don't blame the Mappa animators at all and cgi is unavoidable at some moments. But whoever are the higher ups who said "animate this in the shortest amount of time" ARE the assholes. It's so upsetting for this anime and the workers of it to be brought down like this :'(

THE OST WAS FIRE

Gabi's voice acting was amazing this episode ! Also, it feels good to hear the ODM gear sound effect again. The CGI didn't keep me from enjoying the fight, we got awesome camera movements and good choreography, I'm very hopeful for next episode ! Also best boy Onyankopon might appear soon ?

I don't know if I liked the episode or not. I usually prefer manga so even episodes I like I prefer their manga versions but there is something in off with the episode and usually, Titans fight are more excited but this one Nah it was not at all. War hammer was great in animation it served a better understanding of its powers but the fight, in general, was like boring?? idk maybe because I am a manga reader so the titan power/character's introduction was not as thrilling as they were when I've read the chapters. anyways, there is still more of the attack on liberio in the next episode so I'll give my final thought when we conclude the arc

I think the reason Attack Titan looks a bit off is it looks a bit thinner! Warhammer looks amazing because it's a true copy of the manga. If Attack Titan was a bit buff, I think nobody would have that much of a problem. Overall the chapter is amazing!

as much as i adored everything else i must admit... what is wrong with the character design? what happened to everyone's jaws?? i think jean, mikasa and pieck were the worst drawn. in the manga, they look flawless.

The soundtrack was epic as hell

Mappa is doing a good job, with the little time they had. But sadly, they had the capacity to do way better and I will always regret this situation. And the Jojo memes on Mikasa are on point: in that specific panel, she looks ugly and unlike her cute face in the manga. For the rest of the episode, she's well portrayed

I think this episode is a taste of what is to come. It’s one thing to read still, silent pictures of complete devastation, and it’s another thing to hear the explosions, the screaming and crying. Seeing the blood painted red instead of black and white. When Eren rumbles the world, more people will realize how evil it is, how completely irredeemable. Less people will be #teameren once they get to see it in the anime. I can’t wait to see what MAPPA has in store.

So many nice details in the battle that weren’t there in the manga, the war hammer animation was particularly great

I feel bad complaining, but this was the first episode of the season that has disappointed me at all. Every other episode I feel has elevated the manga. I don't want (and never expected) to be that person, but the CGI, especially on the humans (WHY??) was so awkward it was distracting. We also lost a little bit of expressiveness from Eren, which is kind of a big deal when there's so little from him to begin with.

It is what it is. But after I finished the episode I went back to watch the trailer and got sad that the season just isn't going to look like that. It's not bad by any means and I understand that these are people, not robots working on this with an extremely tight schedule. This entitled fanbase is super embarrassing with it's behavior and harassment of the people working on it. I kind of hope the final arc doesn't get animated now because these people don't deserve it.

The episode was very average. I'm not trying to complain, I know that the anime is mostly for anime-onlines, while we have a manga, but I expected better. I imagined the titan fight to be smooth, but in reality both - WHT and AT - moved like two, fat elephants. In the manga I felt that WHT was fast like a wind. In the anime Lara was slow, she looked like she had a hard time to even hold her hammer. The moment between Eren and Mikasa was disappointing. In the anime when Mikasa was upset about Eren's actions, he was completely unfeeling, while in the manga we see him being full of emotions and almost crying. I know he will turn into a cold bastard but MAPPA shouldn't dehumanize Eren so much now. I was surprised by Connie's glow up. MAPPA has done better job with him. In the manga he still looks like a kid, while MAPPA made him more mature-looking and masculine. That's good for underrated Connie. I'm grateful for the scene between Willy and his children. This way he feels more sympathetic and isn't ""just a guy who declared a war and was eaten by Eren"".

I really like how the warriors and Marleyans seem to be getting a somewhat equal amount of screen time as the scouts have gotten after they've come into the picture. I hope this helps to make clear for the anime-onlies that understanding the experiences, emotions and the development of the other side is just as important as understanding those of the scouts/Paradis.

I know the director would have to appease a large general audience, possibly a large percentage who’ve never heard of the game before. I just don’t know how I’d feel about Snake and Meryl hugging each other without clothes on.

Do you think the director will make Ocelot ambidextrous, do you think Ocelot will still be fighting for Big Boss or just turn out to be some senile old-man who has a torture complex and doesn’t know where he is half the time?

I just hope Otacon isn’t some random guy Snake says “hi” to and never talks to again.

I’m gonna say it, it better not fucking be. the director seems to really love the source material and MGS, as a Game, is. not about Romantic Love (well. not Heterosexual Romantic Love. ask me about my feelings on how lesbian love (through SLove and Joy) and gay love (through... y’know) are the driving salvating forces of MGS) so i do think AND hope he wouldn’t do the movie and the source material dirty like that.

MGS does have some Flirtatious Moments between Meryl and Snake but not only do their relationships ultimately fail (LOL) these moments are also kinda awkward and gawky. it’s a sad truth that Hollywood Really Likes its Man And Woman Look At Each Other And Kiss scenes but i do hope the director will overcome this formula + IN THIS DAY AND AGE I MUST SAY. Meryl is canonically 18 in MGS. this makes hers and Snake’s relationship Not That Great and with a heavy power imbalance. Meryl’s youth is also important to her character because it’s the fact that she’s so young which makes her behave how she does in MGS. however, in the year of our Lady 2020, women have spoken about large age gaps between characters in movies, and how it’s part of a bigger problem (i could elaborate oooh i could so bad). having a Kiss Scene would mean a number of things, you either:

A. have a young Meryl as she is, and the scene is uncomfortable, creepy, + the age gap between THE REAL LIVING ACTOR AND ACTRESS is fucked up.

B. you age up Meryl and you take away from her a crucial reason why she is the way she is.

C. you acknowledge it’s kinda Freaky and you either remove intense romantic scenes or you keep em as the awkward back-and-forth there is in MGS, with, as you’ve noticed, NO KISS. THEY NEVER KISS. YAAAY.

I’m deeply aware a number of Gamers who had MGS when they were little will be VERY attached to Meryl As The Love Interest, but as you can guess, as 1. a dyke 2. a human person 3. a pair of eyes i’m like. not fucking excited about it. the best way (for me) to go about it is like. acknowledge Meryl is blinded by her youth and seeing The Legend. if we get a sex scene? an implied-sex scene? simply i am rioting. i am not witnessing sir Oscar Isaac’s ass on my screen.

Not sure about the ambidexterity, I do think it’d be fucking funny for Ocelot to drop his gun like in that one Twin Snakes scene. One of the things that i think is going to be hard for the movie is Lay Out the Lore, IF they go the “be as faithful to the source material as possible”, so showing 1. who’s big boss 2. why is ocelot here is going to be.... Interesting To See. showing ocelot as a senile old man would be a great disservice to the fans because he’s deeply loved and a great disservice to the source material because he’s like emblematic and one of the most implicated characters. if the director loves MGS as much as he says he does he MUST have seen the interviews in which Kojima says Big Boss and Ocelot shared “pure love” since the moment they met, so... c’mon boy it’s going to be 2021 you can give us the Lighting Of Cigar in a flashback. you know you can.

Otacon is literally SO emblematic to the franchise i do not think the director, as a Fan, would do him dirty, but then y’know. i can be surprised. in a bad way. even if the movie is focused on MGS (1998) and doesn’t touch on MGS2 where snake and hal already. live together apparently or MGS4 where they raise a child together, i do not think hal will just have a small role. like... he’s GOTTA be important. i would pray if i did that they do not discard him for Meryl because she’s the Love Interest because Hal is canonically the one who stays by Snake until the end of his life. ADD: I understand they could very much Go Their Own Ways and make something Different but then... why make an MGS movie. why not make a movie with new people. new characters. new settings. you feel.

For some reason I’m worried about this film, but maybe it’ll surprise me and many fans and turn out really good.

BIRDGIRL EPISODE 1: "PILOT" (April 4th, 2021)

Judy completely ignores the giant signs of her father's death, seemingly out of cluelessness to the audience as its presented.

Because she can't bring herself to grieve over her father yet again after the previous times, she goes fully into denial spending more of her time as Birdgirl and neglecting her personal life.

Which brings the concern of the friend she makes with Merideth the Mindtaker, a green telepath played by Negin Farsad.

Merideth is very empathetic despite calling herself "bad at emotions", which might be a side effect of her powers. Speaking of, to make a mental note, I find it refreshing that her powers are treated very intentionally not-invasively as possible, only using them to give therapeutic advice to Judy or physically stopping her to get her to listen. The biggest "misuse" is just her joking to finish Judy's sentences, which while annoying, isn't the same as forcing her way deep into Judy's insecurities she won't admit to herself.

Overall, Birdgirl is an enjoyable superhero empathy ride I hope to see more of and I'm glad I checked out.

There might be a few hot takes and i havent seen a few big contendors, but here’s my cartoon shows i love ranked! this is really just for me to write about them lol.

Netflix’s Carmen Sandiego ... 10/10

This 2019 reboot of the original Carmen Sandiego is pretty much perfect? I watched the original show on and it was great! I was really afraid i wouldnt like the reboot and be biased. But honestly? This show made me personally so happy and excited for the future of Carmen Sandiego. The world building, story telling, animation, characters. and interactions are so ??? amazing?? It has sub-plots that tie in so nicely to the main plot and advances each character. The show also has great representation and found family is pretty strong. It’s really easy to watch and to me, that’s a big thing. I could watch it while doing a second activity and wouldn’t be completely lost. Also very high rewatch ability.

Netflix’s The Hollow ... 7/10 and 9.5/10

Two ratings? One for the first season and one for the second. The Second season of The Hollow outshines the first by so much but that doesn’t mean the First season is bad! If you’ve ever watched Digimon Adventure to the end, then you will see the resemblance. I can’t write much about the story without major spoilers, but it is such an interesting tale. The world building is very very good. You get to learn where they are and where they’re going and how each place fits in to one another. The 3 main characters really have a dynamic relationship. And Representation?? WELL this show knows a thing or two about that. Honestly The Hollow deserves way more recognition than it deserves. It’s pretty easy to watch and everything is worth it for season 2.

Netflix’s Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts ... 8.5/10

Okay Kipo is such an amazing show! The only thing that would keep someone from watching it would be the art style of the humans, but its simply different and also fits the show really well. The art is just superb tho. The backgrounds and locations just brings a tear to my eye. Also World building?? Kipo is a master of that! Found Family? Kipo OWNS that. Representation??? Kipo made that! Kipo is such a good show for people of all ages to see a part of themselves. For me, the first episode was a little hard to watch because it felt very lonely? You could tell Kipo was someone who wanted and florished off making people happy and being with them, but in that same episode she does find Wolf. But this also sets up exceptional growth in all characters. Also Benson?? love him. Rat World? love that. Frogs in suits? Mutant pigs and rabbits? Lesbian Snake rockers? OH DID I MENTION THE MUSIC?? Its a diverse range of music that really helps introduce emotion, element, and just?? love it all.

Glitch Techs ... 8/10

The art and characters are amazing? Very easy watch with high rewatchability. good rep and concept. i am v tired but please give this show a chance !!

She-Ra and the Princesses of Power ... 5/10

Okay plain and simple? This show is not good from a critique standpoint? Or watcher? It’s honestly so hard to watch and stay motivated to watch. The real good thing is LGBT+ rep. It’s like they said “Hey let’s reboot She-ra, but make it gay.” “Okay what’s the storyline?” “That is the storyline.” and went n that. The first season is good and i kinda liked it! But it’s so hard to understand whats at stake? Cause its always the world? Like 3 times. There is no character or attachment at stake. Mara was the biggest loss in the show and she wasn’t even a main character. I have an issue Catradora too. When i watched it I saw the hurt that Catra caused Adora? Like physically and mentally. Even as a child Catra physically hurt Adora because she was upset. And the excuse is she was abused by Shadow Weaver? Like? Just becaused she was abused does not give her an excuse to do the same thing. I also have a problem with fans saying hordak is disabled rep and i really hope he wasn’t intended to be. He was healed and rid of his dying body. Real disabled people are never that lucky? You don’t get rid of a disability in disabled rep? In Gender and Sexuality i was very happy with this show but in terms of everything else?? Not too happy... It’s kinda of like Steven Universe? God rep, but bad story telling? It’s so iffy. Like sometimes you;ll get a good episode or sometimes you;ll get something which really just doesnt fit.

"You can be a hero!" - The Strongest Hero BNHA Game Review

We’re so used to watching our favorite characters fight their battles and anime as we cheer them on relentlessly. We are always on the sidelines and hope they succeed in their endeavors, but we are never in the stories ourselves.

That has now changed with the new mobile game that came out recently based on the popular anime Boku no Hero Academia by Kohei Horiskoshi.

Welcome to: Boku no Hero Academia - The Strongest Hero.

Today, a week after the global release of the game, having played a little and explored some of its features, we will dive into what the game brings to the table, the mechanics of it and what you can expect!

Makii and I worked together on this, especially since we are both fans of BNHA and love to delve deep into these kinds of reviews.

So to start off, this game has had its global release on the 19th of May 2021 and was published by Sony Pictures Television for the US and by A PLUS JAPAN for the EU already on the 18th of the same month.

Many people have pre-registered for the game release beforehand in hopes of snagging rewards, and only quickly enough the first million downloads were established in a matter of days. No wonder at all, since BNHA is one of the most popular new generation anime. There is a huge fan base surrounding it who are eager to play the game.

Before the global release was initiated, it was released by the chinese studio Xin Yuan on December 3rd 2020, which resulted in many people using VPNs and emulators to experience the charm of ‘The Strongest Hero’. No wonder the game downloads skyrocketed when it was released globally in english (more languages such as german and french coming soon), it was recorded that the players had problems getting into overloaded servers, but those problems were quickly managed.

If you have no idea what the anime or manga of BNHA is about but are still interested, let me give you a quick synopsis.

In a world where 80% of the population are born with mutant abilities called “Quirks”, the job of the superhero became more than just a fantasy in comics. Now, the police are second rate as everyone looks up to the heroes who support and save the world.

Izuku Midoriya, also known by his nickname ‘Deku’, is one of the few Quirkless humans but still admires hero-work like nobody else.

Until one day the tables turn and he ends up with his own new power, now ready to go to renowned U.A. highschool for heroes to become what he always wanted to be: someone who saved lives with a smile on his face.

Now in this game, you are the one who steps into the shoes of a young aspiring hero who wants to climb up the ladder of success and defeat all villains in your way while protecting your people.

The Game:

Advertised as an action MMO-RPG, The Strongest Hero brings not only one but multiple different player modes that you can enjoy alone or with friends online!

Firstly, it’s an immersive story-telling game that lets you relive the actual plot of the anime Boku no Hero Academia so spoiler alert for the ones who haven’t watched it yet, this game will be dealing with the Deku’s story throughout it all.

It starts off with the first episode of the anime, showing us recaps and recreations of the anime but in the game-animation with small bits of interaction to refresh our memory on the fateful incidents that made Deku a true hero. With this retelling of the story, avid watchers of the anime can enjoy everything again from a new perspective, and new people with no knowledge of BNHA can still enjoy the game just as much.

It was even mentioned that the story campaign will be dealing with the contents of season one to three so far, with more already in planning.

So the developers made sure that the game is not only catered to its original fanbase, but to everybody out there!

Now with Deku as the first person you play as, we fast forward to Izuku who is more advanced in his skill set, as he already uses his original ‘shoot-style’ and One for All Full Cowling. You’re now a provisional Hero who just got his license, working for your own agency and completing missions all around town, meaning there is a little skip between the beginning of the game and where you actually start in Honei City.

The open-world is huge and leaves all sorts of possibilities to explore as you not only defeat villains, but also talk to the citizens and maybe even collect trash to fulfill your duty as a hero. Not only Deku is at your disposal, but currently a lot of other class 1-A students will soon fall into your hands! As Toshinori was released as a hero in the last update on May 26th we can assume that there are more to come.

Game modes:

Single player: As previously mentioned, the game will immediately lead you through the single player story campaign, as you try to keep the city safe and sound by defeating villains and completing missions.

There are next to the main-story missions the daily missions in which you ensure the city’s prosperity to get more rewards daily.

With this mode you can play with a multitude of skills and combos and the handling on the phone is very pleasant. With a left joystick on the touchscreen and skill buttons on the right you can activate the swift and powerful attacks that we already know from the anime.

There are also multiple things to do as a single-player as you can collect your daily supplies in several missions which you will need for training your hero, enhancing your gear and more limited to 20 runs for each supply with several difficulties.

Hero trials, commissions and even more features are all available despite being alone keeping you busy for a while, as some don’t even need stamina to fulfill since stamina limits the player in the missions they can do.

And if that is all too much action you can simply explore the city on your own and search for special items on your way.

This is extremely interesting for the ones who like to play at their own pace and alone to enjoy a mix of story-telling and hack n slash combat.

PvP: Contrary to the first mode, if you’re more interested in actually playing against others, ‘The Strongest Hero’ won’t disappoint in its Player vs. Player mode.

Even here we have multiple ways to play, as the Arena takes on a more classic 1 vs 1 feel in which you can defeat other players similar to other fighting-games, or the Super Co-Op battle which allows you to play 3 vs 3.

Soon we will also know what the mysterious War Zone Co-Op entails, as that feature is still to be launched.

Other Co-Op features are also the Agency assessment, the joint operation and Emergency.

Emergency shows us more of the work of a hero, in which you suddenly trigger an event that is of urgent matter and has to be completed with a team of other players quickly. Time runs out, and it is all about the true work of a hero where you have to act quick!

There is truly something for everyone in here

Not just an MMO:

Truly, this game is a lot more than just an MMO, even though its open-world is a huge part of it all.

To get your preferred heroes and play them, the game has a gacha system in place for you to pull for your luck!

Deku is in the player’s repertoire from the start, and his skill-set is very dynamic and swift with less damage but a lot more speed. His comments are just as loud as in the anime, and if that doesn’t give you any satisfaction do not worry! Every hero has his own fighting style and can be explored by playing the missions in which you will quickly deploy Denki Kaminari and Kirishima Eijiro.

The game differs between three types of heroes: Speed, Power and Technical as the three examples Deku, Kirishima and Denki already represent each respectively.

There is also knowledge that there will be Pro-heroes and even some villain characters in the mix.

The skills range extremely from heavy handed to swift or long to short range attacks. Just as varied as the fighting style is, we have beautiful animations that display the Quirks and many possibilities to use them.

Done with all the fighting? Look at the adorable dorm feature in which you can earn more stamina and organize a dorm room for your heroes. You can even make their chibi-versions run around in that room and catch a break from all the hero work.

Although the story might pester you with it’s orange glowing button in the upper right corner, you can just ignore everything and explore the gorgeously crafted open world environment(in most cases).

Yes, you can even walk up buildings!

Of course there is an autofinding feature to briskly get you to where your missions lead you, but if you so desire you can look at the urban starting world and walk around.

Since everyone else will have Deku as their first hero as well, it is incredibly amusing to see all the other Deku's running about.

The starting setting is true to the anime and shows us urban and modern Japan, with a strong hint of technological advancement.

The preset graphics on SD will give you the ability to walk around smoothly, but if your phone can take it, I urge you to at least try to up the graphics to a better resolution. The scenery is truly mesmerizing, and the art style as well as the visual effects have a huge appeal.

It’s even nicer to look at for the ones who haven’t seen enough of the BNHA universe in the anime, because now there are an abundance of regions to explore and the developers have made sure to give us a lot of eye candy.

“You” can be a Hero!:

After all this technical talk, why should you play this game?

First of all, from what I have witnessed as an excited anime watcher and manga reader, the story is catered to include the player.

It’s a lot more different than just watching Deku go through the world, you are actually responsible for how the mission turns out. It’s exhilarating to see characters from the anime like Kamui Woods and Mt.Lady talk to you and ask for help, as they are characters we didn’t see all that much in the anime. It gives the impression to be needed and included which is a great asset!

A hero doesn’t stray away from any work, so yes you will have to pick up trash from time to time or just talk to people to assess situations! Still, there are a lot of cameos of other characters like Hatsume Mei who takes care of your support gear.

Second of all, there is a lot of freedom for you.

From all the different game modes and mechanics to the story and even the split up Co-Op modes, you will have a lot of possibilities to explore and find why you want to play the game.

One thing is for certain, the gameplay has something for everyone and gives adequate rewards to you for every mission or task you clear. Features get unlocked gradually through playing the story and leveling up, which keeps the player on their toes.

One mission quickly leads to another, and it seems there is no end to what you can do, especially in the beginning of the game.

Sadly, that is also one of the drawbacks I will have to mention.

Due to the immense freedom and possibilities, the game bombards you with a lot of information. As a first time player, it’s probably that you will get overwhelmed by the forceful approach of the tutorial, but after a while it definitely gets a lot better in my opinion.

My personal highlights are the gacha system as I love to collect and work to pull my favorite characters, the story as a fan of the franchise and the co-op because I love to play the game with friends. So far I haven’t had the ability to actually play with others, but from what I’ve seen it all has a lot of potential.

Even though we’re talking about a free-to-play game, since stamina is one of the necessities to play missions etc, it is very scarce and often drives one to want to buy it, which is why the game leans towards a pay-to-win game. Still, with a bit more patience and some hard work everything is playable for free.

All in all, I shall conclude that The Strongest Hero is an honest and great attempt at making an anime based game which held a lot of expectations from the fanbase.

The immersive factors are amazing, the animations are top tier and the possibilities seem endless. At the end of the day it’s a game that is playable regardless of how much time you have due to the auto-play-function in many features and can be enjoyed in your personal way.
